2026 Kegs & Eggs w/Sublime
I've never been to a KTCL Kegs & Eggs event. I really need to go. With the announcement that it'll be at Union Station and that the headline act will be Sublime (with the son of the band's original singer as the lead singer now), this might be the year. Anyway, if you want an awesome time on a weekend morning, check it out:

Other Stuff
That was a rather ugly day in the stock market yesterday. Investors seem to remain concerned, despite Nvidia's earnings, that the AI trade is overstretched. Maybe also perceiving onset of recession and the harm of Trump's trade wars and tariffs. It's been a long time since the market was up that much and then ended down that much. Most Americans won't be sympathetic to arguments about why members of Congress should be allowed to trade (or own) individual stocks rather than ETFs or funds. Few things have such bipartisan support as ending Congressional stock trading.

The video put out by Rep Jason Crow (D-Aurora) and other Dems in Congress urging members of the military to disobey "illegal orders", which really seemed designed to sow dissent in the military was utterly disgusting. As usual, though, Trump massively overreacts, makes the story about him, and lets his opponents off the hook. Trump is getting worse at playing the political game as the pressure ramps up on him, and the pressure is intense right now as Republicans can already feel 2026 slipping away from them.

Trump: Democrats ‘traitors’ for telling military not to follow unlawful orders - The Washington Post
First, Trump wondered about jailing the idiot Dems for being idiots. Then he wondered about executing them. Typically Trumpian way to turn a political win into a loss, just like with overdoing it with immigration enforcement, just like with tariffs, just like telling reporters that it's "insubordinate" to ask MBS about having Khashoggi killed (as if reporters are subordinates to politicians.)
This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP??? President DJThttps://t.co/u7gGfdBmdq

How do you feel about this? I have serious concerns...and I also want law enforcement to get bad guys. But the Constitution trumps all and I wonder if this is legal. Border Patrol quietly monitoring U.S. drivers for ones it thinks have suspicious travel patterns, AP says - CBS News

According to the odds reported by New Jersey lottery officials, the odds of one player (I'll call the couple one player) winning these two jackpots are MUCH longer (i.e. much less likely) than winning the Powerball jackpot. I mean, if the NJ people are right, it's 7000 times longer odds. Can that be right?

The shine is off the rose with Colorado and Denver real estate. Doesn't mean it's terrible but it's not leading the nation (in a good way) anymore. I guess we got too expensive, too much traffic, and, perhaps, too much government.
