Costco has issued a voluntary recall for its Caesar Salad and Chicken Sandwich with Caesar Salad due to potential plastic contamination in the dressing. The recall, announced on November 7, affects products with sell-by dates of October 17 and November 9, 2025. These items were sold at select Costco locations across the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions.
According to a notice from Costco and its dressing supplier, Ventura Foods, customers are advised to stop consuming the products and return them to their local Costco for a full refund. The item numbers for the affected products are No. 11444 for both the Caesar Salad and the Chicken Sandwich with Caesar Salad.
While the products are past their sell-by dates, the risk remains for consumers who may still have them in their refrigerators. Customers experiencing any illness or injury after consuming the recalled products are encouraged to contact a healthcare professional.
For further information, Costco advises visiting their customer service page. This recall follows other recent recalls by Costco, including one for nearly one million bottles of prosecco due to shattering risks.
