Miranda Lambert opened up about the loss of two of her farm animals.

The country superstar and longtime animal lover shared sweet photos and videos on Instagram of Sugar Pie and Adrianna. The two miniature horses “crossed over the rainbow bridge” on Friday (November 21), Lambert said as she wrote a tribute to them on Instagram. The Postcards from Texas artist said she spent nearly two decades with Sugar Pie and Adrianna.

“I’ve had 18 years with these littles and I can’t tell you how much joy they brought me. The best part about being an animal mom is the joy,” Lambert wrote. “The worst part is when the time comes to say goodbye. Full of gratitude for them and for Tommy, Julia and Sarah and everyone who helped take care of them and give them the best life when I was on the road all these years. Godspeed little bitty’s. I know you are both in greener pastures as I type this. I’ll see y’all again one day. Big love 🩵🐴🐴🥲💔”

Over the years, Lambert has had dogs, horses and other animals. She also teamed up with her mom to found MuttNation, a nonprofit organization that helps to support shelter pets and help them find forever homes. Some of Lambert’s fellow artists — including Tigirlily Gold, Ashley Monroe, Tenille Townes and more — offered their condolences when Lambert posted about Sugar Pie and Adrianna. See the post here:
