My Weekend: Turkey-TSO-Traffic-The Tree, Birds & A Parade

December 1, 2025

Ok- so that was a bit of a whirlwind weekend. Between Thanksgiving - hosting 18 people, then the Trans Siberian Orchestra - that would have been a good weekend! But - thats not half of it - hahah.

We had a really nice Thanksgiving with Valeries family. Lots of young nieces and nephews, food, football and more - it was a really nice day. And you know what? Strangely- we were so busy I didn't even take one picture! Oh wait- I DID take one-

This is the "tablecloth" Valerie made with the little ones. Not your average thanksgiving day tablecloth- but it was pretty cool to watch them make it! That's what Valerie does- she makes magic. It was a really nice day- but I aint gonna lie- when it's all said and done- and everyone has gone home- it's pretty cool to just put your feet up and relax, right?

Friday morning I went out with the camera but struck out big time. Hey, whaddya gonna do?

Saturday- with another bust of a forecast for sunrise- I focused on finding a couple bald eagles to shoot - and luckily I found them. Got some pretty cool shots too, even one of the female eagle hitting the water trying to grab a fish. She failed- but the shots were kind of cool just the same. Here's a few-

Pretty cool watching them dive- and the fish shot- where they come out of the water with the fish in their talons- has eluded me still. I only got it once - but they were flying away from me so it doesn't count. Anyway- later that day - Valerie - out of nowhere says - "Let's go cut down a Christmas tree today!". I was like- "Sure - it's not like it's the busiest christmas tree cutting down day of the year, right?" -hahah. But off we went - with Tyler and Morgan - and we got after it-

Friggin tree never had a chance! I was like a wild Paul Bunyon (look it up if you don't know who that is!)

And it was off to the homestead with the Kretschmar Family Christmas Tree!

This was our view on Saturday night trying to get to the TSO show in Manchester on Rt 101 going West.

Much of 101 East was closed due to dozens of cars being in accidents or off the road due to a snow squall that sent cars flying everywhere. I had to call TSO and let em know I might not make it in time for the check presentation at that show! Luckily- I made it - literally - just minutes before it all started. TSO once again made a very generous donation to Lend a Helping Can - here I am with Chris Caffery and Moira from Plush - accepting the check -

Also got to hang backstage with Joel Hoekstra- the amazing lead guitarist for the band-

And then up to the suite where our LHC TSO Auction winner , Bill Grace and his family were getting ready to enjoy the show! Thanks so much Bill!

And on Sunday - our family got together with my long time high school friend Michele and her kids - to watch the local Christmas parade before a get together at her house! It was a great time!

Oh, and my favorite float? The one with the two hostages on it. Who knew hostages were an Xmas thing! haha

Two dudes, tied to chairs with duct tape over thier mouths.

It was a "Silent Night". Haha!

Only in NH!

Hope you all had a good weekend!
