Ella Langley reacted to Kelly Clarkson’s “insane” cover of “weren’t for the wind.”

Clarkson spotlighted one of Langley’s biggest hits during the Kellyoke performance of The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday (December 3). The single appeared on Langley’s deluxe edition of her debut studio album, hungover, last year (Clarkson pointed out the “funny” title of the extended project, still hungover).

“She’s really good,” Clarkson said of Langley. “I like her music. She’s very clever, really rad voice and tone. Y’all should check her out if you don’t know about her already.”

Langley shared a clip of the performance on her Instagram story, calling it “insane,” and adding a mind-blown emoji.

Langley’s 19-track still hungover deluxe record also included the title track, “better be tough,” “paint the town blue,” and more, plus “you look like you love me” with fellow Alabama-born country artist Riley Green. The viral duet collected three Country Music Association Awards at the 59th annual show last month, including Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year. Langley also took the stage that evening with her latest single, “Choosin’ Texas,” which she wrote with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor.
