Dr. Wendy to Debate on NPR!

On Monday, December 8th, KFI Host, Dr. Wendy Walsh will be live on NPR’s show Open to Debate to help answer the question “Has Feminism Hurt Women?”

A survivor of domestic violence and single mother, Dr. Walsh will argue that feminism made her the beneficiary of educational and workplace policies that kept her from slipping into poverty. She will argue that feminism is the reason she could escape violence, remain employed, own property, and support her children. Marriage would not have protected her.

Her debate opponent is Inez Stepman, is a senior policy and legal analyst for Independent Women’s Forum and Independent Women’s Law Center and a self-described anti-feminist.

Stepman has said publicly that, “Single women are a powerful force in society and politics today, sometimes channeling instincts that would have otherwise been directed toward a loving family into political causes and careers.” And “The place where sexual politics runs hot and destructive is precisely among those with the fewest ties and reasons to love the opposite sex — a type of loneliness expressed as identity politics.”

Following the debate, both women will be queried by:

Karin Lips, founder and president of the Network of enlightened Women (NeW)

Nina Burleigh, award-winning investigative journalist and New York Times bestselling author of 8 books, including “The Trump Women: Part of the Deal"

Leah Libresco Sargeant, freelance journalist covering culture and family policy, author of two Substacks, including “Other Feminisms” as well as the book “The Dignity of Dependence: A Feminist Manifesto.”

Helaine Olen, contributing columnist to MS NOW and a managing editor at the American Economic Liberties Project

It will stream live Monday, December 8th at 9:00 am PT/ 12 noon ET on:
