Alex Warren recently announced his "Little Orphan Alex Live" Tour with the help of a few celebrities, Jennifer Aniston being one of them, and the singer revealed how he became friends with the actress while backstage at this year's iHeartRadio Z100 Jingle Ball presented by Capital One.
Warren shared of his newfound friendship, "It's really cool. She's the sweetest person in the world. Funny enough, I got connected with her through Ed and Courteney Cox. They FaceTimed me together, and we've been friends for a little bit now." he said.
Elsewhere in the interview, Alex reflected on an incredible journey — from blogging for fun to performing on one of the world’s most iconic stages, Madison Square Garden.
"I was here last year as a viewer and now I’m here as an actual performer. It’s just strange. Yeah, it’s really cool,” Alex shared, still pinching himself at the surreal experience. When asked about his most "pinch me" moment so far, he highlighted one of the biggest: "I think Ed Sheeran playing with me. Ed has become a really close friend of mine. He and Shawn were the two people who got me into music, and now I’m friends with both of them, so it’s pretty nice."
Despite his growing fame, Alex keeps a fresh, unpressured approach to music. “God, no [I don’t feel pressure to write inspirational music],” he laughed. “I never thought I’d get one. Anything that happens after is fun for me. I just love my music. I will listen to my music whenever.” Reflecting on the origins of his breakout work, Alex said, "We watched A Family Man by Nicolas Cage, I think, right after we started messing around in the living room on a rubber bridge guitar… and here we are."
To relive the holiday magic, iHeartRadio is partnering with ABC to bring the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour to even more fans across the country, as an exclusive network special will be aired on December 17th and next day on Hulu.
