Micah Parsons Breaks Silence After Confirmed Injury Diagnosis

Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons shared a post on his X account addressing his season-ending injury after an MRI confirmed he suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's (December 14) loss to the Denver Broncos.

"I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. This injury is my greatest test—a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again," Parsons wrote.

Parsons suffered a non-contact injury while pursuing Broncos quarterback Bo Nix in the second half of Sunday's game and underwent an MRI to confirm the ACL tear, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.

"It didn't look good. I'll leave it at that," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said during his postgame press conference via ESPN.

Parsons had previously dealt with a Grade 1 knee sprain during his rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2021 and a back lower lumbar injury when he was acquired by the Packers in a blockbuster trade with Dallas in August. The Pro Bowl pass rusher recorded 41 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss and 26 QB hits in 14 games during his first season in Green Bay.

Parsons was acquired by the Packers in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks (2026, 2027), immediately signing a four-year, $188 million deal with Green Bay upon the trade's completion, following failed offseason negotiations with Dallas.
