Young Thug Proposes To Mariah The Scientist In Atlanta

Young Thug and Mariah The Scientist are officially engaged.

The 34-year-old rapper popped the question to his longtime girlfriend in the middle of his "Hometown Hero" benefit concert in Atlanta on Tuesday night, December 16. While they were both on stage, Thugger got down on one knee while the question, "Will you marry me?" appeared on the screen behind them. He opened a small blue box and revealed the massive engagement ring to Mariah, who instantly said yes and hugged him.

"Put it on!" Mariah said as the crowd roared with cheers. "I guess I'm getting married."

The Atlanta-born artist has been romantically linked to Young Thug over the years. The couple got together before the "Money On Money" rapper was arrested in 2022 in connection with a RICO case. Mariah held Thug down while he was in jail and during his trial, but they reportedly split shortly after he was released from custody. In recent months, Thug and Mariah reconciled and hit up several public events together.

Mariah The Scientist recently spoke about her plans to settle down during an interview with Angie Martinez. Before she hit the stage at Power 105.1's Power Sessions in New York City, the "Burning Blue" singer told Angie that she wants to get married and have at least one kid.

"I want to be married," Mariah said. "That's my plan. I can't speak for everybody. That's my plan, though... I want a baby. I want at least one. I'll start with that and see how I can manage."
