21 Savage Launches 'F*** The Streets' Movement, Rappers Respond

21 Savage is encouraging his fellow artists to leave the street life behind, but some of them aren't down for the cause.

It all started last Friday when the Atlanta rapper said "f**k the streets" in his message to Young Thug and Gunna. His new motto spread among other artists like Pooh Shiesty, YFN Lucci, G Herbo, and Thugger himself. Shortly after his post went viral, 21 hopped on his Instagram Stories to clarify exactly what he meant.

“When I say f the streets I’m talking about the part that gave me trauma and made me can’t sleep at night," he wrote." If you ain’t tired of that part you ain’t been through it!”

Soon after 21's message went viral, several artists took to social media to denounce the campaign. Blueface was one of the first to publicly address the slogan followed by other rappers like 6ix9ine, Boosie Badazz and Fivio Foreign.

"Next time say f*c yo street lol I’m not shaking none of you n****s hands back stage no more I never thought I’d see the day n****s saying f*c the streets for a 21 savage feature f**k da industry !" Blueface wrote.

"IF THE RAPPERS GO SAY F**K THE STREETS YALL NEED TO STOP RAPPING BOUT EM‼️STOP DOUBLE DIPPING ‼️," Boosie wrote. "RAP ABOUT FRUITS, COLLEGE COURSES N STAYING OUT THE STREETS✅ IF U FROM THE STREETS THE STREETS SHAPED YOU TO THE MAN U R TODAY. YOUR MINDSET, YOUR HUSTLE, YOUR INTUITION etc. COME FROM THE STREETS ‼️ YO SUPPORT CAME FROM THE STREETS‼️YES I WANT EVERY KID TO MAKE IT OUT THE STREETS 'THATS WHAT WE ALL WANT 'BUT IM NEVER SAYING 'F**K THE STREETS'. THEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR SUCCESS‼️"

"The streets keep me movie and keep me and mines good. And guess what.. I better not see’n 1 n***a from the streets supports nobody that say f**k the streets idc who yu are nobody get a pass in my eyes," Fivio Foreign wrote.

21 Savage launched the movement shortly after he dropped his new album WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STREETS? The project comes with fresh collaborations with Drake, Latto, G Herbo, GloRilla and more.
