Drake & Others React After Timothee Chalamet Hops On EsDeeKid's Hit Song

Timothée Chalamet's verse on EsDeeKid's new song has impressed the likes of Drake, Russ, and other MCs.

On Friday, December 19, British rapper EsDeeKid dropped the "4 Raws Remix" featuring a guest verse by the talented actor. In the clip, EsDeeKid keeps his face covered with his signature mask while Chalamet pulls up in a similar mask before he reveals himself. In his verse, Chalamet raps about his role in Marty Supreme and refers to himself as "Himothée."

"Since 2017, I'm livin' the dream," Chalamet raps. "I'm gettin' the cream, I'm livin' on theme/I'm doin' my things, it's Marty Supreme."

Several rap artists had some positive feedback for Timothée Chalamet's performance. Drake gave his seal of approval by dropping some ice cube emojis in the comment section of EsDeeKid's Instagram post with the clip. Other rappers like Skepta, Baby Tate, Robb Banks, and wolfacejoeyy also chimed in with their thoughts. Denzel Curry said Timmy was "snappin" while Russ added some stunning commentary.

"lmao nah this is legendary," Russ wrote.

Timothée Chalamet's guest spot on EsDeeKid's new hit ended a months-long theory that he and the rising rapper were the same person. The rumor spread over the summer after fans suggested that EsDeeKid was a cover for Chalamet's alleged secret rap career. One TikToker even claimed that the artist and the actor had similar eyes and wore the same scarf on two different occasions. Chalamet was asked about the rumor during an interview on BBC 1 Radio.

“No comment," he replied. "All will be revealed in due time."

The "4 Raws Remix" was a clear play on the rumors, and turned out to be a power move for both of them. EsDeeKid blew up over the past year thanks to songs like “LV Sandals" with fakemink and "Phantom" with Rico Ace.
