On Christmas Eve, U2's Bono and Irish singer Imelda May delivered a memorable performance of Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" at Dublin's annual busking event. Held on Grafton Street, this charity event has been a tradition for 15 years, raising funds for the Dublin Simon Community, which supports those at risk of homelessness in Ireland.

The event drew hundreds of people to the city center, with performances taking place outside the Gaiety Theatre. Among the performers were Glen Hansard, who organized the event, The Script's Danny O'Donoghue, The Riptide Movement, and Shobsy. The night concluded with a rendition of "Fairytale Of New York" by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl, during which May wished Shane MacGowan a happy birthday.

The tradition began in 2010 as an impromptu sing-along and has since grown into a well-organized event, raising funds for local charities. The event was not only attended by locals but also by international visitors, with some tuning in via livestream from cities like Berlin, London, and New York. Attendees praised the event for its community spirit and its ability to bring people together during the holiday season.
