Jill Scott is back and kicking off 2026 with a bang! The three-time Grammy winner, has announced her first album in a decade, To Whom This May Concern.
The project, set to release on Friday, February 13th, marks a significant return for Scott, following her last album Woman, which was released back in 2015. The announcement came via Scott's Instagram, where she expressed gratitude to her fans for their patience, sharing, "Finally my new album entitled TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN drops Feb. 13th!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and THANK YOU for your patience and your listening ears."
The album features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including producers Adam Blackstone, DJ Premier, and Om'Mas Keith, along with vocal contributions from artists such as Ab-Soul, JID, Tierra Whack, and Too $hort. According to a press release, Scott describes the album as an exploration of connectivity and humanity, aiming to inspire and uplift listeners.
Ahead of the album release, Scott has shared the lead single, "Beautiful People," which returns to her neo-soul roots and celebrates the love of friends and family. The song is available on all streaming platforms. The album's visual identity, crafted by artist Marcellus, complements the "sonic poetry" Scott aims to deliver with this project, as noted by YouKnowIGotSoul.
