Elle Fanning Recalls 'Dramatic' & 'Hilarious' Time She Fainted At Festival

Elle Fanning is taking breathtaking fashion to the next level.

The Sentimental Value actress, 27, recently sat down with W Magazine for an interview published Tuesday (January 6) where she recounted the time she passed out at a film festival because of her wardrobe. Fanning explained that she ended up being the talk of the town while attending the 2019 Cannes Film Festival after she fainted because her vintage Prada gown was "too tight," per People.

Fortunately for Fanning, she is able to laugh at the experience today.

"My sister was sitting at another table, and she saw my chair just completely fall back. It's kind of hilarious — very dramatic," she said, adding, "Colin Firth was there, and he rushed to my side. It was the talk of the festival."

While her brief bout of unconsciousness may have come as a shock to the other festival attendees, Fanning has plenty of experience with the sensation.

"In school, I would faint a lot," she said. "I grew, like, seven inches in one year, and I guess my body was growing so much that I got altitude sickness."
