DJ Envy is expanding his résumé by becoming the brand-new point person for all things entertainment at American Dream Mall.
On Thursday, January 8, The Breakfast Club host announced that he's the new Creative Cultural Strategist for the second-largest mall in the U.S. Envy will spearhead all cultural programming and will bring more music, nightlife, and lifestyle events to the venue in East Rutherford, N.J., which draws millions of visitors annually. According to Loren LoRosa, the veteran DJ will host car culture events, celebrity-based shopping experiences, family-friendly events, culinary programming and more to American Dream Mall.
"I'm bringing culture to the mall," Envy said during this morning's show. "We'll be doing stuff with HBCU's so if you're interested in going to an HBCU we'll have panels that will teach you about HBCU's. Not only that, we'll do car events, celebrity events, but the mall has music. What we're trying to do is create a radio station in the mall, which gives young kids talent so they can start their ability to do it now."
In addition, Envy will also lead a new program that will allow under-privileged kids how to ski and snowboard at Big Snow, which is the mall's massive indoor, year-round ski and snow resort. He also aims to create pop-up shops for celebrities who are interested in selling their products and merch for a limited time.
