The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly targeting Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur as their next head coach, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday (February 1).
LaFleur, 38, the younger brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, and the Cardinals are reportedly "working to finalize a five-year deal," according to Schefter.
"ESPN sources: the Arizona Cardinals are targeting Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur as their next head coach. The two sides still are working to finalize a five-year deal," Schefter wrote on his X account. "The NFL now features the Harbaugh brothers — John and Jim — as head coaches, and now the LaFleur brothers as well, with Matt and Mike both set to be HCs. Matt is in Green Bay, and Mike is expected to land in Arizona."

LaFleur has worked as the Rams' offensive coordinator for the past three seasons, having previously served the same role with the New York Jets from 2021 to 2022, as well as working for the San Francisco 49ers as a passing game coordinator from 2017 to 2020 and a wide receivers coach from 2017 to 2018. Los Angeles led the NFL in total offense (394.6 yards per game) and scoring offense (30.5 points per game) during the 2025 NFL regular season.
LaFleur will stay in the NFC West Division and face the Rams at least twice annually as the Cardinals' head coach.
