Priyanka Chopra Jonas is over other people's opinions on her marriage to Nick Jonas.

The Heads of State actress, 43, is blocking out the noise and shut down rumors that she and her husband's relationship is on the fritz in a new cover story for Variety published Wednesday (February 11). Chopra and the Jonas Brothers musician, 33, have been married since 2018 and are parents to 4-year-old daughter Malti Marie, per People.

"We're eight years in," she said. "If people want to keep waiting for it to implode, that's their choice. I stopped thinking about it."

The Quantico alum acknowledged that she and Jonas married "really quick, within six months of meeting" and that their relationship seemed to "[rub] people the wrong way" for one reason or another.

"I think there was the intercultural nature of it — different countries, different religions, age gap. It was very hurtful," she said. "And we both, instead of looking out, just sort of looked at each other, and we were like, 'It doesn't matter.' So it's like water off a duck's back now."

Chopra went on to praise her husband's sincerity, noting that it is both "disarming" and inspirational and a quality that he inherited from his "absolute saints" of parents Kevin Jonas Sr. and Denise Jonas.

"When I first met him, I didn't know if it was even real. This part of him. Because I was like, this is crazy. This is put on. But Nick has this absolutely sincerity. It inspires me every day in a profession which requires you to pivot and become whatever you need to put on. He's constantly sincere."

While attending the Golden Globes with Jonas in January, Chopra explained how having her husband by her side at industry events helps put her at ease.

"It makes it so much easier, you know, because it could be a little nerve-wracking to go on that stage in front of so many people, but when we're together, it's fun and funny," she said. "It makes it easier."
