A "Teen Mom" Star Called Out Kylie Jenner For Glamorizing Young Motherhood

Uh oh! Is there another feud brewing? Kylie Jenner has recently found herself on the receiving end of jabs from Nicki Minaj and now it looks like Teen Mom's Kailyn Lowry is jumping in the ring. During an appearance on Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's Make Speidi Famous Again podcast, Kailyn called out Kylie for "glamorizing" young motherhood

I don't want to hate her because obviously she's so successful, but when you're that young and you have that much money and you're able to have a nanny or have a lot of help, I think that shows that it's kind of glamorous to have a kid so young.

While Kailyn was on two shows that depicted life as a young mom, she argues that both 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom showed a more realistic depiction of what it's like to become a mom when you're in your teens or early twenties.

She wasn't a teenager [when Kylie had Stormi,] so obviously it's slightly different, but we got a lot of backlash for Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant that makes it look like the show is glamorous and I just don’t agree because it took me seven years to get a four year degree. I didn’t always have the money I have now. I would not agree that our show makes it glamorous. But situations like Kylie, they don’t realize that she has millions of dollars and she has a ton of help and she can go out and party and do all these things.

Kailyn does have sympathy for Kylie, though, because she knows the 21-year-old makeup mogul "didn’t ask to be a role model." She also went on to say that, "It’s so hard because obviously I don’t want to mom-shame her at all, but just looking at the different scenarios, they’re just completely different. So it’s weird. But really, nobody should look up to us in that aspect."

It's definitely not cool to mom-shame anybody, but to Kailyn's point - Kylie is on track to become the youngest billionaire ever, so, that financial security is certainly helpful when raising a child at any age.

What do you think of Kailyn's comments? Is Kylie glamorizing young motherhood?
