About the Hosts
August 21, 2019
Scott Benjamin is a senior editor at HowStuffWorks.com and co-host of the CarStuff podcast where you'll discover that he knows just about everything there is to know about automobiles -- past, present and future. He's also pretty crazy about motorcycles and boats and trains and airplanes and ... well, you get the idea. Before coming to HowStuffWorks.com, Scott lived in "The Motor City" (Detroit, Mich.) for nearly 25 years and he had more than 10 years of work experience in the auto industry. That influence somehow made him think he could restore a classic car in his own garage -- a never-ending process that you'll occasionally hear about in the podcast. And when he's not in the driver's seat, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, reading true-crime books, attempting home repair and improvement projects and continuing his search for the world's best pizza.
Ben Bowlin is a writer and host for HowStuffWorks.com, where he gets into any number of unusual and fascinating adventures. One of the best adventures - by far - is cohosting CarStuff, where he and Scott cover everything that flies, floats or drives. Although his favorite cars are Packards, he's intrigued by every vehicle he comes across, from the custom-built coaches of the past to the self-driving cars of the future. When he's not exploring all things automotive, Ben can usually be found writing, reading, dreaming up inventions or conducting experiments, usually related to pizza. In fact, if Scott and Ben did not host CarStuff, they would probably host a show about pizza.
