Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is the best of two pros and a couple
Joe with Lamar Airings and Brady Win and Jonas Knox
on Box Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
How the hell are you feeling here on a Friday?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Come on, we finally have our map, our quest, our
north Star in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
It's so great, it's just just wonderful. And anybody who
bags on the schedule release, you are such a loser.
You're a complete zero. This is what we are looking
forward to. This is what our entire lives are going
to be built around for the next six months. And
should we start right at the top when it comes
to well, actually, now I think about it. Before we
start at that top, let's start at our top. It's

(00:45):
a football Friday.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
It's at the top, right, it is a football.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
On Fox Sports Radio. So we have got the teams
with the most primetime games. So there's a handful of
teams who have six primetime games. So these are games
that'll be featured at night as it stands right now.
There obviously could be some flexing situations later in the year.
But the teams with the most primetime games the Kansas

(01:24):
City Chiefs, the LA Chargers, the Buffalo Bills, and the
Dallas Cowboys. Any complaints to those whatsoever? I got none.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
I mean the.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Chargers, my goodness, in there a team on the rise. Chargers,
the team on the rise, cob On justin Herbert is
gonna get like a seven hundred million dollars. Yeah, it
does feel like that, but you know, one of these
times we're going to be right about it.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I would rather see the Jets with Rogers, which I
believe they have five plus.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
What there's like another one that could be considered that maybe.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, they've got the five plus. The Black Friday game.
Oh gosh, Berto.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
The worst part about it is Levars is when I
was looking at the schedule release.

Speaker 5 (02:10):
It just said BF on it. Berto. That could be
interpreted a lot of ways.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
Rich Rack, thank you.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I don't shoot the messenger. We're just trying to tell
you what's going on here.

Speaker 6 (02:24):
I'd be really excited about saying it to Jonas, like.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
What Black Friday? Oh my gosh, it's just all right.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
So Berto's in on it. That's why I don't be
hitting the button. He's in on that.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
There.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Listen, everybody's in on Black Friday.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
This is just a no situation.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
But see how you are in your home, Jonah, exactly.
I see how you are around your dinner table.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Player.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
That's a sun black Friday. You should be aware of it.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
That's how you talk when you're alone.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Well, that's how you should worry about black Fridays.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Son.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
So if we swap the Jets with the Chargers, because
the Jets are part of the five primetime game batch,
they would be the Jets, the Giants, the Packers, the Vikings,
the Raiders, the Eagles, and then the forty nine Ers.

Speaker 6 (03:22):
I actually like that list better than the first one.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Really, Just is it the Cowboys fatigue? I mean, because
it's kind of expected, isn't it? Dallas?

Speaker 6 (03:32):
Is that there's some far more interesting storylines that could
play out in that second tier of teams you just
read off. If I'm looking at them all as a whole.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Then Dallas, because I mean, I feel like Dallas is
an interesting team this year because everything's on the line.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
There's no way you could think that Dallas is going
to be good any better than what they've been Like,
I mean, honestly, what when have we had any reason
to think they're going to be better than what they've
shown us?

Speaker 3 (04:01):
It's it's a reasonable point, like the Midnight in all seriousness,
outside of the fact that the NFC now has one
less Hall of Fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers if you're
looking at I mean, I guess maybe maybe two now
right is pretty retired, so you'd consider that in there
as well. Outside of those two moves, which has nothing

(04:23):
to really do with Dallas other than their path to
get to a Super Bowl, Like what do you what
are we looking at as far as the Cowboys? Are
we going to talk about how Brandon Cooks is there
they made around him?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Dak Prescott's a big wha. I mean, so here's all
I would say. When it comes to the Cowboys, everything's
on the line because what they say every year, Yeah,
but if they if they don't produce this year, I
feel like there's going to be wholesale changes on the
coaching staff. And then the fact that maybe Dan Quinn
gets brought back and maybe he's made the head coach.

(04:56):
It does feel like like I would not surprise and
I know this is not par for the course when
it comes to Jerry Jones and now the Cowboys operate.
I can't think of another time that they've actually fired
a coach in season. I could be missing somebody, but
it does feel like if they run into some landmines
throughout the course of the season based on the NFC.
As Brady pointed out, would it shock you if Jerry

(05:18):
Jones just said we're making a change of coach, Like
that's that to me is why people are shocking a disaster.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
That's second tier of teams. You named two NFC East teams.
Would it shock you that they have two more interesting
storylines play out during the season next year than Dallas.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
See, I'm down on the Giants. I just I don't
think the Giants are going to be what they were.
I don't think the Giants are a playoff team. I
think that's gonna be one of the teams we look
back on and go.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
But don't you think it's more intriguing? Like, do you
know for certain that that's how you feel about the
Giants and that's what it's going to be, or is
there a tad bit of intrigue that day Ball actually
could do it again? Well, is there any type of
end trigue and what they could possibly be?

Speaker 5 (06:02):
That's that's that's the dumb truck.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Dumb dump truck, back it up.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
He's back up to this conversation Jonas, we don't hear
answers to.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
This, Okay, I will position it this way. I'm more
confident that the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Will be good old next for for it to beat too,
that's got to be a big load of of what
you're carrying for you to have to beat when.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
The truck dumb truck.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Like with Yeah, there's no wind needed to show any
sort of movement on those Isn't that enough?

Speaker 6 (06:43):
Isn't that enough to make it more interesting honestly than Dallas?
What is what is the more interesting storyline in Dallas?
That they may achieve the same exact way they have
and in the same years past.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Can I say this about Dallas by the way, I mean,
Jerry Jones is a pretty patient owner. He may not
seem like it, but think about how long he rode
with Jason Garrett.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Yeah, and Jason Garrett, who I think got kind of
a raw DL nationally I think.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I mean he did, but at the same time, like
he gave him plenty of opportunities.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
I just look at it and I go based on expectation.
If you're going by win totals. The expectation is that
the Cowboys are going to be better than the Giants.
The Giants win totals at eight and a half, the
Cowboys are at nine and a half. Oh wow. If
you're to ask me confidence wise, who's going to be
a better team next year, Dallas or the Giants, I'll
take Dallas.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
I'm going to take the Giants because Dallas is going
to get everybody's best shot. Everybody going to get Dallas
that work because of Dallas. It's it's like one of
those teams like I'm going to get I can get
recognized in this game, Like they deal with elements that
some other teams generally don't have to deal with. They're
one of those popular teams.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
I just I don't.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
I think it's just stacked. The odds are stacked up
against Dallas to have success.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
I don't think personnel wise, there's nothing about Dallas personnel wise,
that's it. They take a definitive step forward in fact,
in fact, i'm not I'm not certain that they take
a step back. Like I don't know that they're in
a non win team. I don't know they.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Win that many they you know, Kellen Moore's not there
anymore as their offensive coordinator. Remember, they end up hiring
Brian Schottenheimer, who was within the coaching staff, to come
take over that role.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
But now it's it's.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Mike McCarthy who's gonna be much more involved in the
play calling. So there are changes there too. I mean,
they didn't, you know, bring in Brandon Cooks. You know,
they've got some other pieces, but there were some changes
that I think kind of to Levar's point here. If
you look at the Giants, I think with what they
did last year, you can make the case they overachieve.
But they've continued to build around Daniel Jones, you know,

(09:06):
Saquon's back, They bring in Darren Waller, they draft Jalen
Hyatt like they They've done some really good things, and
I think there's a there's a lot to kind of
look at the Giants and go They've got a foundation
built that I think if they continue to build upwards
moving forward. If you look at Dallas, they've got a
little more of a transition, I think, at least offensively,

(09:28):
where there's some question marks of what it's going to
look like. So I don't know about I think these
two teams are probably more even than people realize, and
it's just Dallas so they get the extra primetime game.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
But I'm kind of with LeVar here.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
I do think the Giants are a much more intriguing
team to watch see.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
I think we're bearing the lead on this. I think
what LeVar, without knowing it, just admitted on the air
is that he just chose Saquon over Micah. I think
that's what happened. Like you just chose offense over defense
for hashtag we are is what you just did on
the air.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
I mean LeVar was an offensive player too, I was
a tailback in fact, it was in North Hills. Yeah,
but they're both Penn Staters, so.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Your your confidence level, you know, goes to Saquan and
not the guy who reps Stick City the way I.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Think that, I think, I think it's a foregone conclusion
that your bright spot will be the defense. Their defense
is going to be fun to watch, Like, I don't
think there'd be any discussion points. In fact, their defense
will most likely be the reason why they have, you know,
a level, a level of success that could possibly exceed

(10:39):
what what the projection is. But in the end, do
I trust it like, do I trust Dak Prescott? Do
I trust Dak Prescott is the biggest question I asked myself.
And although I know his stat line says we should
trust him to be the quarterback that can take them
to the next level, I just don't trust it. I

(11:01):
don't trust it, and I don't I don't feel like
anything has given me any reason. There's no decisions made
this offseason that has given me any reason that this
team is going to take a definitive step forward. I
just so. I don't see how, I mean, outside of
their brand in the obvious that they are the Dallas Cowboys,

(11:23):
I don't see how they got into that first tier
over say a Philadelphia or say a San Francisco, Like
those are two teams clearly and easily that I would
say would make more sense for for primetime games.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
The Giants to make the playoffs plus one forty five
to miss them minus one seventy. So the money and
the odds would tell you that the expectation is they're
most likely going to miss the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
Well, here's what we should do.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Don't you show us here?

Speaker 3 (11:52):
What is your betting mind telling you right now to place?
If you had a place of bet. What is it
telling you to place that bet?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
You know I'm glad, yeah, because I do have it
in an envelope here. M hmm. I would bet on
the Giants to miss the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
So you take the other side of this.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Come on, you fade Jonas knock, I mean, Jonas Friday.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
We do know your your betting history, so especially lately.

Speaker 6 (12:28):
I saw Jonas without his hair done yesterday. And you
know what, now, I understand he's not the like the
man that places these bets are not the man we
see during the course of this show. It's just he
looks a lot different. I mean you, you look like
a degenerate gambler.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Bro.

Speaker 6 (12:46):
When you when you're at home.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Bro, the first thing you should do is wash your hair.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Yeah, once or twice a week. That's all you need.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
Boy.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
Yeah, I saw you in that guy dang that that
went that that uh video?

Speaker 5 (13:01):
Look at Joe.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Look, I haven't gotten my hair cut since before the
Super Bowl, and I have no reason why. I just,
for whatever reason, haven't gotten around to it. And so
it's all over the place. I got like a nice
tale going on in the back.

Speaker 6 (13:15):
Yeah, there's a lot of it was like you were Noxicon.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
That's all I'll say it was.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
It was I mean, Berto, what's that supposed to because
of my hair?

Speaker 6 (13:24):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Racist?

Speaker 6 (13:25):
Im sorry you were you were Noxican on Black Friday.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
This is now we're going to double up on this.
This is totally unfair. But yeah, I'll get around to
washing it at some point this weekend.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Around the Wash.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
So somebody is going to be back. They're making their return.
That's somebody is the goat, Tom Brady Bay who will
be part of the Fox family. I mean, I'm assuming
you know, he called it fake news coming up here
in a little over a year. But Tom Brady will
be back to call games. As it stands right now, though,
he's going to be back at Foxborough for the season

(14:16):
opener for the New England Patriots coming up this year.
The schedule was released yesterday. The Pats are playing the
Philadelphia Eagles at home to open up the year. And
so Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots,
this was him live from Jupiter, Florida, I mean from
Foxborough himself, just announcing the decision that Tom Brady will

(14:38):
be invited back one last time.

Speaker 7 (14:40):
The greatest player in the history of the game played
right here in Foxborough. I invited him back to come
here and be with us at the opening game and
let the fans in New England thank him for the
great service he gave us for over twenty years. And

(15:01):
it'll be the beginning of many celebrations to honor Tom
Brady and say thank you for what he did for
us those twenty years playing for the New England Patriots.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
How about that pretty dope didn't take long? You know,
it's pretty well would it stepped away? And now here
he is.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Well, it's hard to invite him back for a week
one when he's still playing.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Yeah no, I'm just saying he just retired, so now
he's back.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
You know, interesting, I mean interesting game thoughing invite him
back for obviously it's the opener, so that has everything
to do with it. But you know, the Eagles said
that last time, you know, he was up against them
at least as a Patriot didn't quite work.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Oh come on, you got to bring up bold Stay.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
He got him in another Super Bowl, so they're one
in one.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
Yeah, he's the goat.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
He's the goat, There's no doubt about it. It was
interesting the way Jonahscott us into this conversation. It almost
sounded like you're hoping like things fall through this. So
there's some sort of drama with him coming to Fox.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
No, No, I'm just saying he called fake news on it.
I'm assuming he'll be here, but you know, there's a
lot of time in between now and then, and maybe
he decides he gets there Week one, he's in Foxboro
and he goes, man, I can still do this. Like
what if he decides he wants to come back and
he wants to play again. I'm just saying he's done
it before, you know. I mean, I hope he's here.
I think he's gonna be great as a broadcaster.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
But where's he gonna go back and play if he
wants to do it?

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Like, do you think this is all set up for
him to like like a month or two before a
go I'm coming back to play? But I mean, and
idiot ends up selecting another team. Is that where you
think this is going.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
I mean it could be who knows, maybe San Francisco.
I mean we can talk about, you know, the San
Francisco situation. A quarterback, Kyle Shannon spoke about it. We
can get into that later on. But it could be
San Francisco, maybe the Raiders. Maybe he sees what's happening there.
Jimmy Garoppolo suffers an injury like he's dealt with before,
and Tom Brady says, I know that coach, I know

(16:53):
that system. They've got some talent there. I can make
that work. I mean, just TB twelve opens up right
next to like the MG Grand they're on the strip
in Las Vegas. I mean a lot of fun there.
Alex Guerrero just cruising around the strip in Las Vegas.
There's some possibilities here.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
I wouldn't be surprised if somebody goes down and Tom
Brady comes back.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
I wouldn't.

Speaker 6 (17:15):
That would not shock me in the least bit.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Jonas.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
But it would be a specific situation, wouldn't it. I
don't think he would just come back just to come back.
I think it would have to be the perfect situation
for him. At this point.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
I mean, I don't see that being a viable option.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
And the reason being is he is so pragmatic about
how he prepares himself and what he feels like he
needs in order to be able to put himself in
a position to be successful.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
I mean, this is a guy through COVID.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
When he went to Tampa, he was practicing out in parks,
Like they got kicked out of a park one time
because it was supposed to be close down. I mean,
he was going to the wrong house to get the playbook.
I think for Byron left food. So you recall knocking
on doors and someone's like, oh, what's Tom Brady, what's
up Tom?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
And somebody said, yeah, for some reason, buyer left, which
was here with like a bag full of footballs like
to go throw around at the in the park.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
I mean, he doesn't strike me as the type where
it's like someone goes down. He's like, you know what,
I'm gonna take this opportunity. Like he's got a great
thing with Fox if he wants it, whenever he wants to,
you know, start that up, and there's there's it's like
it's just I don't know at this point, you know,
maybe he would rather just kind of segue into the
next thing. But I just I think he's too pragmatic

(18:30):
about how he goes about preparing himself for every season
to then want to just jump into a situation unless
he is preparing right now and he's about hind the scenes.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
Knowing Tom and how he's wired.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
I mean, he's he's throwing, like even if it's just
even if it's just him staying sharp, for him just
staying sharp, he's throwing and and I mean I don't
know how much more how much saying is slanging it.
I mean he's saying right now, he's slaying that back.
I mean, Q, he's probably slanging like and I mean

(19:04):
he is probably shlinging it for real right now, like
Tom Brady. If I'm Tom Brady, I am all the
way slanging it, like with an A, not an I
with an A slanging from slanging that thing.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Is it is a thing.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
With an A by the way, No, I's just all
a's slanging that thing. That's what Tom.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Brady slanging with an H two right, shlanging it.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
Okay, Yeah, I mean I would have put it l
in there, but you know, well, I.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Mean there's an l there too.

Speaker 6 (19:39):
But but that thing, yeah, that thing got an H in.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
It for sure. Raise Uh Now, can I ask you
guys this, are you surprised that it's week one of
the slinging? Are you surprised that they're just knocking this
out of the way early and they're doing it week
one of the year.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
Oh, you think that's what it is?

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Like a Bill Belichick, Tom here, this is we gotta
get a ton in here, and let's just go ahead
and get we're on the double.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
He's the greatest quarterback of all time. We have a
lot of respect for him.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
We're gonna we're gonna honor in week one and then
we're gonna get back to playing football.

Speaker 6 (20:18):
This has no benefit for him being smug about honoring
Tom Brady today, Like at this moment in time, he
probably needs to really embrace that. He needs to embrace that.
Don't don't cause no unnecessary ripples or or waves right now.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
This is this is why I asked the question. The
fact that it's happening the first game of the year
tells me that Bob Kraft wanted no part of Tom
Brady leaving and going elsewhere.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
And he can say conclusion.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Because he can't. There's no waiting around week one, the
second he's not playing for another team or bringing tom
Brady back. Like, there's no way that Belichick is looking
at this going, oh yeah, that's ideal, Like he could.
Belichick understands the pomp and circumstances that would come with
bringing him back and celebrating him and all that stuff.

(21:11):
We saw it last year when they played in New
England last year. But the idea that the first game
of the season, your first opportunity and he's back and
Robert Kraft can't wait to welcome him back and make
him a Patriot just tells me that he probably wasn't
on board with Tom Brady leven in the first place.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
What if Bill Belichick is on board with honoring Tom
Brady the same way? I mean, wouldn't you think that
he wants tom Brady to be honored too.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
First game of the season against the team that nearly
won a Super Bowl? You think Belichick wants to deal
with the chaos and commotion.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
They are the lord of the rings, bro.

Speaker 6 (21:46):
Like, I don't think they're looking at it like, oh
my gosh, this team and we like they've won Super
Bowl like a million times.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
Yeah, I think it gets the crowd more into it.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Like if anything, you know, it's like stirred up a
b before Week one, you know, I mean, who knows,
Maybe it's the Boston fan base coming off a an
NBA championship.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
We don't know. I mean they got Game seven. How
to figure that out?

Speaker 3 (22:10):
And then you're bringing Todd Brady in there too, who
brought so many championships to to the Patriots organization.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
Why might be firing up that crowd.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Why didn't you mention the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup?
Why did that?

Speaker 5 (22:23):
Oh, they got knocked out on the Caps.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Okay, that's why I wondering to your business.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
I just feel like later on in the year, you've
got a bye week in Week nine known as the
Washington Commandos. Why not why not do that in respect
and and celebrate him there?

Speaker 6 (22:40):
Like, do not do it right out the gate? It's
like the inaugural or that is that theural segregation inaugural
game or whatever?

Speaker 5 (22:53):
Why would you not do it the first game?

Speaker 6 (22:55):
Like we're kicking off the season, we're honoring we're honoring
the greatest football player of all time and he played
here for the New England Patriots.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Why aren't the Texans, Why aren't the Texans honoring JJ Watts?

Speaker 6 (23:08):
Come on, man, come on just asking it's not even
a comparison.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
And also why did it take what five years for
far to get welcome back to lambeau Field after this?

Speaker 5 (23:18):
I mean, hold on, first off, be careful. Could you could.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Suffer from litigation, you'd be careful.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
There.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
No, the way Farv left I think had a lot
to do with it. They were not on great terms.
And then you know he chose to go to like
a division rifle stops. I mean, I think that might
have frustrated some people, and clearly his intent was to
go there and.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Beat the Packers.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
So yeah, well I remember the last game where he
threw like three picks and it was just like.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
With the Packers. Was that the with the Jets you mean?
Or with the Vikings?

Speaker 5 (23:50):
All the Vikings?

Speaker 6 (23:51):
Yeah, I would assume that that Tom Brady will be
a frequent visitor or maybe even seen with Craft during
the course of the season.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
With Craft, for sure, but I don't know that they'll
be around the team much.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
How far away is Jupiter, Florida from Miami.

Speaker 5 (24:14):
It's almost two hours, is it? Two hours almost Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
With traffic, for sure, time flies when you get.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
I mean, I'm not sure if you guys are aware
of this interstate highway called ninety five. Doesn't matter where
you are on the Eastern Seaboard, it's it's always got traffic.
It's always always an accident, always something going on on
ninety five.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
That is that the one where the BQ News we
had a story about somebody driving.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
I could have a story from ninety five every single
week if I wanted to. There was a guy who
was shirtless on top of the a semi like riding
a semi like it was a surf four. At one
point when I was driving on the highway, I was
driving the opposite direction, but you just saw the semi
with a guy on top of the hood like literally,

(25:02):
I mean driving the opposite direction.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
I'm like, what the hell was that?

Speaker 2 (25:06):
It's teen wolf on the ninety five. Listen, why wouldn't
you get after it there? And if it's not.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Going you've never seen, never seen some of the stuff
like you've seen on ninety five.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
And that's the only way and only way out. There's
no other option.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
No, I mean, you could you could maybe go some
other routes, but it'd take you even longer. I mean,
if you want to get to uh, you know, Miami
from Jupiter. Yeah, it's you're gonna take ninety five.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Okay, Yeah, just trying to figure out, you know, when
they'll meet up there in South Florida they get together.
You know a lot of stuff in Jupiter apparently.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
Is that where orchids is?

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Oh? Come on, why why do you have to bring
up in.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
Its? Orchards of Asia? Actually Jupiter?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
I believe it's in Jupiter.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
Was it more than one?

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yeah? I believe Yeah. Are they a chain? They're multiple occasions?

Speaker 5 (25:58):
Is there what type of soup that they served?

Speaker 2 (26:00):
By the way, there's a Why does it have to
be soup? I mean, Berto, why do they have to
serve soup there? This is going to be tolerated on
the show A Football Friday. We're trying to do it.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
I thought it was I thought it was food.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
It could be uh, it could be a lawn clear
long care, flower shop, it could be a nursery.

Speaker 6 (26:23):
So okay, why has it got to be that?

Speaker 3 (26:25):
You know, we're funny about that place. I was thinking,
is anyone who went there right?

Speaker 5 (26:30):
Like?

Speaker 3 (26:31):
You know, they told people. Oh yeah, this is where
I go get a massage and all that. Like once
that story came out. Now I wonder like, do they
go but begrudgingly because they're not necessarily getting everything they're
looking for, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (26:43):
But they're like, oh, yeah, I'm here again. What do
you mean? What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (26:50):
By the way I do show it? It is still open.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Yeah, just yeah, I'm here again, but it's going through
the motions of this.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yeah, no dessert, I'm the menu today. Huh yeah, fun stuff.

Speaker 5 (27:02):
Here we go again.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Yeah, I'm showing it. It opens if anybody interested. Opens
at nine.

Speaker 5 (27:08):
I just slipped it up.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
Yeah, I thought it closed, and definitely Eastern time.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
By the way, Brady, I thought it's it's open. Hey, Brady,
you see what I've seen. Apparently they sleep it on Saturdays.
It opens an hour later at ten thirty. So there.

Speaker 5 (27:21):
It is not so much what it opens. I think
it's it's what it's what it closes. Business must be
real good.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
All right. So again that'll That concludes our preview of
Eagles Pass Week one, where the Philadelphia Eagles, for you
degenerates out there are four and a half point favorites
at New England there. So for anybody interested, you think
Tom Brady's going to bring some life to that team,

Speaker 5 (28:28):
So.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
I don't know if you guys were aware of this,
but there were a couple of things that were noteworthy
out of the NFL over the past twenty four hours.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
Oh really that's where we're going.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Number one, Oh, it's the NFL schedule release. Okay, so
that's a big deal everybody. I mean, we've been talking
about it. We've got more on that to come. But
also number two, huge, huge story out of the NFL.
It's a football Friday.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
Oh right, got it? Yeah, I got it?

Speaker 5 (28:59):
Is there?

Speaker 9 (29:01):
Yeah, Friday night is a Friday.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (29:06):
Come on, Yeah, Fridays play sooner light, so come on, yeah,
do it.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
Football Friday.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
It's Friday, Saturday, Saturday.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
Come on.

Speaker 9 (29:29):
Football Briday.

Speaker 10 (29:49):
Football, say football, a whole lot of football because basketball.

Speaker 6 (29:55):
Because basketball wasn't good.

Speaker 10 (29:57):
Come on football, come on football, Yeah, throw the football,
catch the footballs ketch the footballs.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
What the hell is that?

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Oh man, this is our new this is our new
Friday music, Buddy, I am mixing out the football Fridays.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
We head into I don't even know that. Nothing else,
nothing else, the video. It's still a good beat though.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Because that other song was from was the Last Boy Scout?

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Was that like before after that guy.

Speaker 6 (30:28):
Got thro Good Morning America?

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Yeah, before you got him. For those of you that
are just tuning in, LaVar confused the movie Coming to
America with Good Morning America, which is a disgrace in
my opinion that happened.

Speaker 5 (30:42):
How does that happen?

Speaker 2 (30:43):
I don't know, I really don't know.

Speaker 6 (30:45):
How does one cold coming to America Morning America while
doing a very very very very like gratitudeish introduction of
a listener and his daughter, Like it's got of like,
how you going?

Speaker 2 (31:00):
But I'm trying to figure out why I called him
Lonnie Edwards not Lonnie Walker the other day. I still
can't figure that one out, although I do have a theory.
I think it's because I was thinking of Leon Edwards,
the UFC fighter, the welterweight champion. Brady tipped me off
to him years ago, so maybe that's what it was.
I could have been that, do.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
You mean the guy who's got dump trucks as fists?

Speaker 2 (31:20):
He is a good striker. You actually might remember him
because you know Jorge Moscital, who's a you know, Miami,
is like the king of Miami. Leon Edwards is the
guy that Jorge moscoitoal punched backstage at a card in
London and then used the I gave him a three
piece and a soda like that was where that that
came from? And Jorge Moscital. His career took off from there.

(31:42):
That was actually Leon Edwards, not Lonnie Edwards or Lonnie
Waker Rocky Edwards. That's a great point. Great point. By
the way, we're going to get into some bad news
for several teams in the NFL. I don't know if
you saw this report that just came out. According to
Front off of Sports, we mentioned Tom Brady, who has
been invited by ACT for Week one Patriots Eagles. Robert

(32:03):
Kraft made the announcement. According to Front Office Sports, and
this per ESPN, tom Brady is in deep talks to
become part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
Deep talk.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
How about that he's already he's already a partner with
the Las Vegas Aces ownership group that he joined in
with Mark Davis uh in March. And now it looks
like uh, Tom Brady could be making his way to
the Las Vegas Raiders. Burdo, That autumn wind just got
a whole lot better looking.

Speaker 5 (32:33):
Berto.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
I'm telling you, come on, Berto, you're not excited about this? No,
I don't care. Why not and make good after.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
Like a broken fan man? Yeah? You do?

Speaker 6 (32:48):
You need you need broken fan therapy. My gee, let's
give you let's give him some therapy. Here's what I'm wondering.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
How much does he have to put in right in
order to be able to be a minority owner, which
is what he'd be in this case with Mark Davis
on this one, Yeah, you got to think about if
he made let's just say, three hundred and thirty two
million in his career.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
You cut that in half because Uncle Sam takes half.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
So that's how much you've got at least to play
with you, you would hope after the fact. Now he's got
a ton of investments, he's got a ton of marketing,
so clearly he's gonna have more than that. But you're
talking about an NFL franchise, Like I mean, it takes
a lot of money to invest in something that's worth
billions of dollars.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
As far as the there's also the Fox contract. This
is from Adam Schefter, who said that it's believed Brady's
ten year, three hundred and seventy five million dollar contract
with Fox, which is still unbelievable, is due to start
in twenty twenty four. It would be unaffected by the
investment on the Raiders, and a source told ESPN that
Fox has quote blessed the arrangement and sources. The league

(34:00):
policy about team ownership overlapping with media employment only comes
into play if the owner holds a position of authority
in the media company and could impact broadcast rights negotiations.
Fox in the NFL have agreed to an eleven year
rights deal. They did so in twenty twenty one.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
So what's kind of interesting though the way it's worded.
Just think about what they said. It only impacts the
situation if he's an executive on the broadcasting side. Yeah,
it does it if he was like a majority owner
of a team, which is kind of odd to think
about it, Like you would think it'd be both ways,
Like do you want Jerry Jones in the booth?

Speaker 5 (34:36):
You know, like he's a.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
Majority owner of an NFL French Now that you bring
it up, yes, I would actually you think that. But
then it's like, I don't know, maybe after the second
third quarter you'd be like you'd be like.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Hold off, hold f up, ja Okay, what about Jim irsay,
would you not want to call a game with Jim.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
Jim Ersay and Jerry Jill in the game out together?
I think you'd want to hear them from a little.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Bit and then you'd be like, okay, like are we
really going to do this for seventeen games in a season?

Speaker 6 (35:05):
You know, he was a cowboy, but catch anyway, all
so sad the Raiders are worth This is, according to
what I'm researching right now, about five point one billion
dollars as of twenty twenty two.

Speaker 5 (35:19):
I'm just saying it's it's interesting, like you got to
put in a lot of.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
Money in order to make a dent as a minority
owner as part of that group.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
It also it also goes to show that when they
were on some live stream I forget during a game
and Rob Gronkowski put Dana White on the spot the
president of the UFC and mentioned something about it, and
Dana White was like, oh, we're talking about that now,
and he said, yeah, Tom Brady and Gronk were a
done deal in Vegas, but John Gruden nicks the deal.
Mark Davis is on board and Gruden was the one

(35:49):
who backed off on the deal. The fact that Tom
Brady's now part of this ownership group and also part
of the Las Vegas Aces ownership group, like that just
goes to show you that that one was Gruden nixing
the deal to bring in Tom Brady, which would have
completely changed the course of his career because he went
to Tampa instead. They won a Super Bowl there. But
I still wonder why did Gruden say no to Brady

(36:11):
and Gronk like that guy? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (36:15):
Who is Derek Carr?

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Yes? Like was it ego? Was it not having the
ability to control him? Like, maybe control Derek Carr. I've
never understood why he said no to Tom Brady. I've
never been able to figure out.

Speaker 5 (36:27):
What you got on that. Come on, I mean, you
honestly want me to throw what I think?

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (36:30):
Yes, I think John Gruden is a big time piece.
When he came back to the Raiders, Penburgo, tell me
if I'm wrong and looking at this.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Way, any conspiracy theory music here?

Speaker 5 (36:44):
No, No, it's not a conspiracy theory. Oh I thought
it was. That's what.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Yeah, Okay, I'm saying John Gruden came back and he's
the face of the franchise.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
He can't have two faces ego and yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
Leads me to say ego because if Gruden's there, he's
the guy. It's all about him, you know. Derek Carr
is their quarterback. But he's not bigger than John Gruden
given his history. So to me, I look at it
and think, if Tom Brady comes in, it steals the spotlight,

(37:16):
and John Gruden wasn't going to receive any credit for
their success.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
It'd only be.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Tom Brady, which I mean, look that's kind of I mean,
think about Bill Belichick, who's the greatest coach of all time.
Just Tom Brady leaving, going to Tampa and winning a
Super Bowl leads some people to feel that way. Now,
even though we all know it's obviously a combination of
so many things, right, it's the coaching staff, it's the players, everything.
But that's the narrative that came out from that. And

(37:44):
so I'm sure there's a thought too for John Gruden
that if Brady comes here, I won a super Bowl, but.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
I'm not gonna get any credit for it.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
So, I mean, Sean Payne's walking to a situation with
Denver ware after what we saw from Russell Wilson last year.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
You know, when Russell got.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
To Denver, you're thinking, okay, like it's all about him,
He's the face the franchise. Now you get Sean Payton
there after what we saw last year and if they
win one. As much as like Russell will get credit
for being the quarterback to win another one, it's still like, well,
Sean Payton fixed them. He's done in two spots now, yeah,
you know, even though they both have done in two spots.
That's how like the narrative to me, I think we'll change.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
So what you're saying as far as Gruden goes his
philosophy is I may be a seven, but as long
as I hang out with threes, I could feel like
a ten.

Speaker 5 (38:29):
Whatever that means.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
I'm just letting hey, trying to make it make sense
for everybody out there. So what we do here on this.
