Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is the best of two pros and a couple.
Joe when Lamar Erings had rating win and Jonas Knox
on Box four Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
We do start because it is a big, big morning
and a big day of celebration and anticipation for a
certain part of the country. And that part of the
country would be the state of Wisconsin. Because our fine
affiliate on the game ten seventy in Madison, they are
listening to this.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
And they're feeling pretty good about things.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
First and foremost, we've got Week four, the NFL kick
itoff later on tonight.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
You've got the Lions and you've got the Packers.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Now, Detroit is favored, They're a one and a half
point favorite going into this game, but probably a little
bit of revenge on the mind of the Packers considering
the last time these two teams played at lambeau Field.
It was Aaron Rodgers' final game. Because Detroit as an
underdog winning on the final week of the season, Green
Bay with an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot, and
the Lions put it on them and got it done.
(01:05):
Thus the momentum for the fighting Dan Campbell's and the
Detroit Lions as they had into this.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Season, the fighting. Dan Campbell's that's right.
Speaker 5 (01:14):
Well, I'll say this, both teams, both teams are two
on one. Green Bay had a tremendous comeback in this
last game that they played in to be able to win.
It looks as though they're they're getting healthy. I'm not
certain is is Christian Watson up this game? I think
(01:35):
Christian Watson and Aaron Jones I believe.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
I think.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
I'm sitting here trying to check, but I do think
that they're playing.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
It's still up in there.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
It's questionable, questionable, Yeah, if if they have if they.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Have Aaron Jones and Christian Watson and Jay R.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Alexander, if if they are playing, and they're they're playing
at you know, at the level they're supposed to be
playing at, jonas this, I think this is going to
be a good game. If they're not playing, especially Aaron
Jones out of the out of the three I just named, uh,
I think that's going to be a I think that'll
(02:19):
be a tough game for for Green Bay to be
able to win.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
I think they.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Got well, well, now, I'll just say I'll be honest
with you. I actually hope the game is awful. I
hope the game is terrible. I hope the game sucks.
I hope people have complaints, because the worse the game is,
the better al Michaels gets. That's what I'm looking for.
I want al Michaels tearing down lambeau Field. I want
him criticizing what there is to do in this in
(02:49):
the state of Wisconsin and enter around Green Bay. I
want I want him ripping cheese Kurds. I want him
ripping the color scheme of the Packers. I want al Michaels,
the red ass, the curmudgeon who's just letting it fly
in probably the final stages of his broadcasting career, to
just have something to work with. And the worse the
football game is, the better for al Michaels and all
(03:10):
of us watching. That's what I want, man.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
But why you want Damn? It's funny, damn.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
But I mean, what does that have to really do
with the game? Though?
Speaker 5 (03:22):
I mean, I love that that's your your expectation or
your hope for what takes place. But you know, this
is a divisional A divisional game. The North is an interesting,
an interesting topic of conversation if you are a football fan.
I would have to I would have to say that
(03:44):
it's one of the more intriguing storylines that will develop
this year, this season because we really don't know what
the NFC North is.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Outside of well, we do.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Know what the NFC North is in terms of what
the Chicago Bears represent to the NFC North, but well, yeah,
I mean, it just is what it is with that, right,
But but I think otherwise, I think we're trying to
figure out who Jordan Love is and what this post
post Aaron Rodgers, Uh, you know, tenure or era and
(04:20):
you know, what what is it? I think so far,
I think people are excited about, you know, Jordan Love
and what he brings to the to the table. But
then now you're wondering, Okay, is it is it really Detroit?
Is it really the Detroit Lines? Time to be a
(04:42):
team that dominates the NFC North over what Green Bay
has been to the North so far for for the
amount of time that they've been so and then you know,
obviously the Vikings, they they seem to be kind of
a I don't know what you say, mid level team
team right now, a mid team where like, yeah, so
(05:06):
do we want to say they're they're a poor team,
a subpar team because they haven't won, or do we
say they're a mid team that's off to a slow start.
I just don't know what we have in the NFC North,
But if I do know something, kind of definitively, I
think whatever the NFC North is, it has a ton
(05:26):
of defining in tonight's game. You know so, and I'm
sure that's what both coaches are saying. I'm sure Laflora
is telling his guys that you know, Detroit things, that
they're the big bad wolf on the block, they're the
bully on the block, and we got to show them
that we're still Green Bay. Let's go out there and
punch them in the mouth. While I think Dan Campbell
(05:48):
is saying, you know, let's beat a big bad wolf,
let's beat a big bad bully on the block, and
let's make this a reality the Green Bay in front
of the entire country on a primetime game tonight. So
there's a lot of motivation that is connected to this game, Jonas,
and I think that that's what's going to make it
a little bit more entertaining for everybody watching, including out Michaels.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Well, the betting odds would say this as it pertains
to this game and this division, the NFC North, which
features the Detroit Lions, the Green Bay Packers, a bad
Vikings team, and the Chicago Bears that are the diaper
fire of sports right now, both these teams are sitting
at two to one. They're both atopt the division, but
it is the Lions at a minus one to h
(06:31):
five on DraftKings, it is the favorite to win the division.
Now green Bay is not far behind. They're sitting at
plus one thirty five. I think the reviews on Jordan
Love have been more positive than maybe some people expected,
but Detroit is still expected, at least as of right
now before this game tonight, to win that division based
on the betting odds. Now, if you're a Packers fan
(06:52):
and you're somebody in Wisconsin, you're probably looking at that
going okay, well, that doesn't seem like good news. But
right up, National Basketball Association, because how about Damian Lillard
and our friends listening on the game in Wisconsin and
on ten seventy in Madison. You've got a brand new
partner in crime in Milwaukee with Giannis and Tetakoumpo. Damian
(07:17):
Lillard is now Milwaukee Buck is part of a three
three team deal that went down yesterday.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
So all that conversation.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
About the Miami Heat and I'm not going anywhere but
the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks swipe in and
steal him and get him to Milwaukee. And now Dame
Loward is in Milwaukee's a Buck? How about that?
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (07:37):
So so now crow barring Dame Lillard going into the
cheese Kurds territory? Yeah, what what did the what did
the Bucks have to give up?
Speaker 3 (07:48):
A lot?
Speaker 4 (07:49):
Did they have to give up any players?
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Drew Holliday was one of them they gave up. Yeah,
so there was a lot, and obviously you know Portland's involved.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
Was that the only was that the only big name
from from the Bucks, Like they didn't have to give
up Like, uh, who am I thinking of as a
Singleton Middleton?
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Middleton Middleton?
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah, Middleton was not part of the deal.
Speaker 5 (08:12):
But also then they have a they have a big three.
Then they still have a big three.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yeah, so they're they're they're pretty loaded, the Milwaukee Bucks are.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
I mean, that's not pretty loaded. That's that's that's loaded.
That is loaded. And and Dan Lillard is one of
those guys, you're going to get what what you paid for,
Like he's he's going to be what what's advertised when
he gets there. So that should be interesting to see
how that plays out. And that is a win on
game day for for Milwaukee. But uh, I still think
(08:42):
it comes down to how does how does Green Bay's
defense hold up against that physical offensive front of the
Detroit line, and how will that how will that play out?
Because you know this is like I mean, I guess
you could say there could be picking rolls and roll
into to the uh to the paint on in football terminology,
(09:07):
but this definitely.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
Is going to be a game where you see.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Finesse versus versus brute strength, and that brute strength is
the running game and the offensive front of the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
That's that's you know they play. That's what they're bringing
to the table.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
They play physical Detroit outdoors it's not quite cold yet,
but outdoors. You know, maybe Dame will be in attendance
to watch the Packers as underdogs take on the Lions.
Like this is a big night man, big night lee
to lapse of Packers fan. You know he's gonna get
mangled later on at a Sports Bar watching that game, like,
that's gonna be fun.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
This game. That's a that's a big ass win if
they can win this game.
Speaker 5 (09:57):
Yeah, So that's gonna be a big if though, especially
if they don't have Aaron Jones. Yeah, and if they
have Christian Watson. I think they are definitely in prom
position to be able to do what it is that
you know they could possibly do in an upset victory.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
But that's going to be a tall task. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
One of the rumblings during the offseason over the past
several weeks was, you know, could Jonathan Taylor find himself
to be a member of the Green Bay Packers. Now
they were viewed as being one of the potential landing spots.
Apparently they got close to getting a deal done and
it fell through, and so the Indianapolis Colts set this deadline,
(10:54):
and Jonathan Taylor and the Colts and whoever they were
dealing with, like the teams like the Packers couldn't a
deal done, but Jonathan Taylor still went on the pup list,
And so the thought was, after hearing Chris Ballard talk
about repairing the relationship, was maybe after he returns from
the puplist and week four is finished up, that maybe
(11:15):
Jonathan Taylor will have, you know, different thoughts and a
change of heart with wanting to play for the Indianapolis Colts.
And apparently, and that sounds like I saw went to jail. Yeah, well,
apparently that's not going to happen. That is not going
to happen, and nothing really as much change when it
comes to his feelings on wanting to leave the organization
because according to Dan Grasiado of ESPN, Jonathan Taylor, who
(11:39):
is eligible to return after this week, as we mentioned,
he still doesn't want to be in Indianapolis. So LaVar Arrington,
what a stunner. Your owner comes out and says you
could be out of the league and no one cares,
And even a visit to the pup list doesn't mean
you forget all about that. And Jonathan Taylor doesn't want
to be in Indianapolis anymore?
Speaker 4 (11:57):
What a stott would you forget about it?
Speaker 5 (11:59):
It's just and why would you Why would you feel
as though you know what has taken place there and
and the way they have shown you what your value
is to them.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
Why would you?
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Why would you want to be in a place where
you're not wanted? And I think that that's kind of
that's where this whole thing is, if you ask me so,
I don't think anyone should be surprised by the fact
that he doesn't want to be there. I mean, what's
what's what's more curious to me? And all of this
(12:35):
is okay, goes on the pup list, he'll be back.
You've You've created And I would say this is this
is purely the Colts and and driven home by the
owner of the Colts. This this disconnect and this this
fracturing of a relationship between your franchise running back and
(12:57):
the team. You've you've kind of alienated him, You've you've
embarrassed him in the public. What about how anything has
been handled and in the in regards to him getting
a what a lot of people would would consider to
(13:19):
be a fear a fair market value, uh payday for
what he brings to.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
The table for the Colts.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
What what about anything that has taken place would give
you any type of conclusion that Jonathan Taylor would have
a change of heart about how he feels about, you know,
the Indianapolis Colts organization.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
I mean, listen, the only person who could try and
potentially mend this or fix this is Jim Ersay.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
And as we I thought he was going to say, Jesus.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
No, as we wanted him to make that too, that'll
be too. Jesus or Jim Mersay are the only two
that can can fix this. But I just we talked
about at the time the second Ersay went public and
was sitting on the back of a golf cart at
training camp and started talking about I could die tomorrow
(14:12):
and Jonathan Taylor could be out of the league and
nobody would care. That ventured away from this was about
money to this was about disrespect.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
And look, I've.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Never met Jonathan Taylor. I know you and Brady I
believe have met him, or at least spoken with him,
or at least no people that know him and are
a lot closer to the situation. He just strikes me
as a really solid dude who's all about respect. And
the second Jim Ersey cross that line, it was over.
That was it the toe tags were on the relationship
(14:42):
that it was never going to get repaired. And that's
the way I viewed this. And so to see this
report come out that he still doesn't want to play
for the Colts, I'm not surprised.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Like this is where this was.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
Headed after this, the old saying goes, when someone shows
you who they are them, believe them. And jim ursay
as to what he represents to Jonathan Taylor, showed Jonathan Taylor.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
Who he is, so believe them.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
If that's the guy who said I'll die tomorrow, no
one to care. Jonathan Taylor could be out of football.
No one cares believe that that's what he believes, which
isn't it's not inaccurate. No, I hate to say it
as a and I don't know that that's a wake
up call. There's a lot of truth in what he's said.
(15:34):
Nobody would care that Jim Irsay died. There's still going
to be I mean, people would care. But what I'm
saying is in terms of the game is still going
to be played if Jonathan Taylor is not on that
team or in the National Football League. The game, Like
think about this, Tom Brady is in retirement, and there
(15:58):
are so many storylines that are dominating the headlines and
what's going on with the Jets or what's taking place
in Denver, or you know, the amount of points that
Toua and the Miami Dolphins put up. Like nobody's like,
I'm not paying attention to the NFL this year because
Tom Brady's not playing. Same thing when Peyton Manning retired,
(16:22):
same thing when Brett Favre retired. Aaron Rodgers is hurt
and out of the game. Right now, the games are
still being played, the media are still reporting on the games.
Everything is continuing to move and business is booming. As
Antonio Brown would say. So what he said isn't yet.
(16:44):
What he said isn't untrue. It's the fact that the
messenger of the message said it in the way that
he said it, in a way where that's his leverage
not to not to value his employees, one of his
glowing star employees. He's basically like, you know, no need
(17:07):
to pay you. We're not going to pay you. And
if you got a problem with it, I could die tomorrow.
You could be out of the game and nobody's going
to care, So suck it up. Take what we're going
to pay you and come play. Like when somebody when
somebody comes at you in a way where they justified
to the to the public, the way that Jim Mersey
(17:27):
justified to the public to devalue you know what you
represent and what you should get. I just don't see
why you would want, Like would you want to go
to his house after that? Would you want to stay
in his house after that? Would you want to eat
his food? I look at that food, and I you know,
I wouldn't touch it. I mean, I just want to
see what I wouln't want to eat your food.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
I want to see what's in his liquor cabinet. That's
all I care about. Like what was he gotten there?
What I wonder you think he's a snob? Does he
go Jack Daniels or is he more of an Evan
Williams guy? You think, Like, what do you think he
goes with?
Speaker 5 (17:59):
Well, first of all, he's an NFL owner, so he
does a lot of entertaining.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (18:04):
So he has a fully he has multiple probably fully
stocked bars.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
He's got like ap I would assume.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Like a tap of Mad Dog twenty twenty. When you
walk in the door, It's like going on a cruise ship.
They give you a drink before you even drop your luggage.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
I'm a rain maker.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Thank you, Jim. Yeah, right, guys, it is.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
I bet you he has some old CDs of him
and the Tree Hugging Crew, right, Jim Mersey and the
Tree Huggers. He's probably got old CDs, nice little little
little CD cover, of course, and he gives them as
as parting gifts when you leave the URSA home.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Of course he does, you know.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
I mean, that'd be the only CD that you see
and at this point in time in life, but it'd
be there.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, damn right, be there.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
POLLI Foosco here with Tony Fusco.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
Yo.
Speaker 6 (19:04):
Of course, you know us.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
As the host of the number one rated show and
all the sports talks, the Polly and Tony Fusco Show. Yea. Now,
the suits at Fox Sports Radio gave us this ad
time because they.
Speaker 6 (19:14):
Wanted us to tell you how great our show is.
Why yeah, instead of us doing that.
Speaker 7 (19:20):
Let's just let our millions of fans do the dark.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yeah, play the tape.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
You don't know, crap about fool own this crap. Whoa, whoa,
whoa whoa.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
That's the wrong tape, wrong tape. Just forget that.
Speaker 7 (19:32):
Look, listen to the Folly of Tony Fusco Show on
the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
So we did just get notice lead the lap in
a state of panic. Just Rando, find a security guard. Yeah,
because there might be uh, they're just testing the fire
alarms in the buildings that may happen at some point
during this hour.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
So oh you got to test the fire along.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
I mean, you got, I say, while no one is working,
you know, it doesn't disturb anyone, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
So there's uh so that's kind of where we're at. Yeah,
that's kind of kind of where we're at with everything. Well,
it's like the same for people that are listening around
the country. For those of you listening in southern California.
You know this on the Blowtorch and five to seventy
l A sports Like, the problem is all of the work,
(20:25):
like road construction, things like that. They do when we
have to drive in Yes, and so it doesn't impact
people that are working standard nine to fives. But if
you're driving into work at two in the morning, I
know you've dealt with this.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
The whole had the whole freeway shut up, just close
like yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
Exits, exits, entire exits.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
So yeah, major arteries, Yeah, like yeah, they have it
closed up one lane.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
They've been working on a stretch of the one to
one freeway here that I take every single morning.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
Since since I've been since I've been there.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah, it's crazy and uh and so so this is
just what comes with it.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
So if there is any sort of a fire alarm,
don't be alarmed. It's just there. To just deal with
it and sell the alarm. We'll have to figure.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
But all right, he was on the show. He was
on the show with Jonas on Sunday. Sam. You know,
Rob Parker and jo State they balling out on the.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Show on the challenge.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Yeah, I was killing the challenge.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
Yeah, we're just trying.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
That's your show.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
It's not my show. Listen, I'm just I'm.
Speaker 4 (21:33):
Not you don't draft, you don't drive that show.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I'm sposed. Yeah, just a cup of Joe Man. You know,
you know what it is, just a cup of Joe, that's.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
All I am.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
No, you drive, you drive this show?
Speaker 5 (21:45):
Yeah, damn right. You don't drive the challenge though neither
and neither does that guy on the other Sidurday the
what is that the podium or whatever?
Speaker 4 (21:58):
I don't know what. We don't need to Jonas City.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, you know, listen. And if you're gonna drive anything,
you do it in the pair of tire rack tires.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Excuse me?
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Two pairs, yeah, two pairs. All right, So we do
have an update, all right, Now, Thursday Night football is
coming up later on tonight. We've got the Lions, We've
got the Packers. It is an NFC North battle.
Speaker 7 (22:20):
Now.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
If you're wondering what the NFC North is, the NFC
North is a division that features a bunch of mediocre
teams and then two awful teams towards the end. Well,
one awful team, the Vikings would I would put towards
more the mediocre portion of this conversation, but the Bears
are awful, and so the Lions of the Packers are
sitting there a top the NFC North. Right now, in
(22:40):
DraftKings Detroit is a one and a half point favorite
at lambeau Field. Last time we saw these teams, it
was Aaron Rodgers retirement party that started because it was
the final game of Rogers Packers career, because the Lions
went in there and basically eliminated the green Bay Packers
from the playoffs. Because of green Bay won that game,
that would have gotten in and thus it didn't happen.
(23:02):
And now here we stand with these two teams sitting
atop the division getting ready to do battle coming up
week four to kick off your NFL Week in action
when it comes to Week four.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Of the season.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
But one of the rumblings during.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
The offseason over the past several weeks was, you know,
could Jonathan Taylor find himself to be a member of
the Green Bay Packers. Now they were viewed as being
one of the potential landing spots. Apparently they got close
to getting a deal done and it fell through, and
so the Indianapolis Colts set this deadline, and Jonathan Taylor
(23:37):
and the Colts and whoever they were dealing with, like
the teams like the Packers, couldn't get a deal done.
But Jonathan Taylor still went on the pup list and
So the thought was, after hearing Chris Ballard talk about
repairing the relationship, was maybe after he returns from the
pup list and week four is finished up, that maybe
Jonathan Taylor will have, you know, a different thoughts and
(24:00):
a change of heart with wanting to play for the
Indianapolis Colts. And apparently and that sounds like somebody went
to jail. Yeah, well, apparently that's not going to happen.
That is not going to happen, And nothing really as
much change when it comes to his feelings on wanting
to leave the organization, because according to Dan Grasiado of ESPN,
Jonathan Taylor, who is eligible to return after this week,
(24:22):
as we mentioned, he still doesn't want to be in Indianapolis.
So LaVar Arrington, what a stunner. Your owner comes out
and says you could be out of the league and
no one cares, and even a visit to the pup
list doesn't mean you forget all about that. And Jonathan
Taylor doesn't want to be in Indianapolis anymore?
Speaker 4 (24:38):
What a name? Why would you forget about it?
Speaker 3 (24:40):
It's justning, Why.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
Would you why would you feel as though you know
what has taken place there? And the way they have
shown you what your value is to them. Why would
you Why would you want to be in a place
where you're not wanted? And I think that that's kind
of that's where this whole thing is if you ask
(25:04):
me so, I don't think anyone should be surprised by
the fact that he doesn't want to be there. I mean,
what's what's what's more curious to me? And all of
this is Okay, goes on the pup list, he'll be back.
You've You've created And I would say this is this
(25:24):
is purely the Colts and and driven home by the
owner of the Colts. This this disconnect and this this
fracturing of a relationship between your franchise running back and
the team. You've you've kind of alienated him, You've you've
(25:45):
embarrassed him in the public. What about how anything has
been handled and in the in regards to him getting
a what a lot of people would would can that
to be a fair a fair market value payday for
(26:06):
what he brings to the table for the Colts. What
about anything that has taken place would give you any
type of conclusion that Jonathan Taylor would have a change
of heart about how he feels about, you know, the
Indianapolis Colts organization.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
I mean, listen, the only person who could try and
potentially mend this or fix this is Jim Ersay.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
And as we thought he was going to say, Jesus no, as.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
We wanted him to make that too, that'll be too
Jesus or Jim Irsay are the only two that can
can fix this. But I just we talked about at
the time the second Ersay went public and was sitting
on the back of a golf cart at training camp
and started talking about I could die tomorrow and Jonathan
(26:55):
Taylor could be out of the league and nobody would care.
That ventured away from this was about money to this
was about disrespect.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
And look, I've never met Jonathan Taylor. I know you
and Brady I believe have.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Met him or at least spoken with him at or
at least no people that know him and are a
lot closer to the situation. He just strikes me as
a really solid dude who's all about respect. And the
second Jim Mersey crossed that line, it was over.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
The toe tags were on the relationship that it was
never going to get repaired. And that's the way I
viewed this, and so to see this report come out
that he still doesn't want to play for the Colts,
I'm not surprised, Like this is where this was headed
after those comings.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Oh, the old saying goes, when someone shows you who
they are, believe them, believe them. And Jim ursay as
to what he represents to Jonathan Taylor, showed Jonathan Taylor
who he is, so believe them. If that's the guy
(27:56):
who said I'll die tomorrow, no one to care. Jonathan
Taylor could be out of football and no one cares
believe that that's what he believes, which isn't It's not inaccurate. No,
I hate to say it as a and I don't
know that that's a wake up call. There's a lot
of truth in what he's said. Nobody would care that
(28:17):
Jim Rsey did. There's still going to be I mean,
people would care. But what I'm saying is, in terms
of the game is still going to be played if
Jonathan Taylor is not on that team or in the
National Football League. The game Like think about this, Tom
Brady is in retirement, and there are so many storylines
(28:41):
that are dominating the headlines and what's going on with
the Jets, or what's taking place in Denver, or you
know the amount of points that Tua and the Miami
Dolphins put up.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Like nobody's like, I'm not.
Speaker 5 (28:57):
Paying attention to the NFL this year because Tom Brady
he's not playing. Same thing when Peyton Manning retired, same
thing when Brett Favre retired. Aaron Rodgers is hurt and
out of the game. Right now, the games are still
being played, the media are still reporting on the games.
Everything is continuing to move and business is booming. As
(29:21):
Antonio Brown would say. So what he said isn't yet.
What he said isn't untrue. It's the fact that the
messenger of the message said it in the way that
he said.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
It, in a way where that's his leverage not to.
Speaker 5 (29:38):
Not to value his employee, one of his glowing star employees.
He's basically like, you know, no need to pay you.
We're not going to pay you. And if you got
a problem with it, I could die tomorrow. You could
be out of the game and nobody's going to care.
So suck it up, take what we're going to pay you,
(30:01):
and come play. Like when somebody when somebody comes at
you in a way where they justified to the to
the public the way that Jim Mersey justified to the
public to devalue you know what you represent and what
you should get. I just don't see why you would want, Like,
would you want to go to his house after that?
Would you want to stay in his house after that?
(30:22):
Would you want to eat his food? I look at
that food, and I you know, I wouldn't touch it.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
I mean, I just want to see what.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
I wouldn't want to eat your food.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
I want to see what's in his liquor cabinet. That's
all I care about. Like what was he gotten there?
Speaker 3 (30:32):
What we like?
Speaker 4 (30:33):
I wonder if I wonder everything.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
You think he's a snob. Does he go Jack Daniels
or is he more of an Evan Williams guy? You think, like,
what do you think he goes with him?
Speaker 5 (30:41):
Well, first of all, he's an NFL owner, so he
does a lot of entertaining.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
So he has a folly, he has multiple probably fully
stocked bars.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
You think he's got like a tap I would assume
like a tap of Mad Dog twenty twenty. When you
walk in the door, it's like going on a cruise ship.
They give you a drink before you even drop your luggage.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
I'm a rain maker, Thank you him.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
Yeah, guys, it is.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
I bet you.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
He has some old CDs of him and the Tree
Hugging Crew, Jim Mersey and the Tree Huggers.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
He's probably got.
Speaker 5 (31:12):
Old CDs, nice little little little CD cover and he
gives them as as parting gifts when you leave the
ers home. I mean, that be the only CD that
you see and and at this point in time in life,
but it'd be there, yeah, damn right, be there
