Speaker 1 (00:02):
Is the best of two pros and a couple Joe
with Labar Aarings rating win and Jonas Knox on Box Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
And we are one win away for the Oklahoma City
Thunder for celebrating an NBA championship. Congratulations to OKAC for
getting it done last night. And I think noteworthy we're
making progress here as far as the coverage and development
of the league, because I don't have any sort of
evidence that would say that stephen A. Smith was playing
(00:36):
Solitaire on his phone again during the actual game, So
I feel like that's a positive development from game four
to game five. So it was nice to see that
stephen A was not playing card games on his phone afterwards.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
That'll be an upgrade from what the audience will be
for this next game. I will. That'll do it.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Jack, you think it's oh, you think it's a rap?
Are you called it?
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah? It's over all right, it's over.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Man, all right here.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
You know, they said, I know, they said that whoever
wins what what was a game three eighty percent of
the time wins the series. Well that's that that percentage
will be affected and impacted because okay, okay, see, even
(01:28):
if they lose this next game. I just I think, okay,
see is just better. They're better. Yeah, they're better. I
mean they were better coming into it. I don't think
anybody was expecting Indiana Pacers to do what they did,
but they they pulled out two games.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Oh wow, yeah, I mean the undertakers here.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
The reality of it is is that you get a
Tyrese Haliburton with thirty four minutes and only four points.
I told just Siakam was the captain of the ship.
We just didn't know that being the captain of the ship, well,
it wouldn't be enough to get the ship to shore.
(02:12):
They're lost that sea and they ain't making it back,
not out of this finals, they're not.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
So the undertakers here to close the lid on the
Indiana Pacers after a Game five loss.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
You know what the Undertaker said, what's that I'm the
captain of this ship.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Now he's the captain of the coffin. Now, now you
mentioned Tyrese Haliburton. That was the big discussion. He went
down with what they're calling a calf strain early in
the game and was clearly nowhere close to being one
hundred percent, and so Tyrese Haliburton spoke about the injury
(02:52):
and playing despite the injury afterwards.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
I mean, it's gonna be a finals.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
It's the finals.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Man.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
I've worked my whole life to be here, and I
want to be out there to compete, you know how
my teammates anyway, I can you know, I was not
great tonight by any means, but uh, you know, it's
not really a thought of mine to to not play here.
You know, if I fucking uh you know, walk, then
then I want to play. So you know they understand that,
(03:20):
and uh, you know is what it is, and uh,
you know, got be ready to go for Game six. Uh.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I was surprised that. I just assume when he was hobbled,
all right, here we go like this is going to
be the end of the road. And then all of
a sudden, Indiana, somehow, some way, with with TJ McConnell
coming in and playing great minutes for him, ends up
making that a game and cutting the lead to two.
At one point, I'm thinking to myself, is this gonna
(03:46):
Are we doing this again? They're gonna do this again?
And then ultimately they they kept turning the ball over. Okay,
sees defense, which we've talked about which has been fantastic,
uh came up big for them and they just hit
enough shots down the stretch Jalen Williams from Fantastic and
then you're looking at it, You're going, okay, it's back
up to a double digit lead. It's just the okac's
(04:08):
got an accelerator that nobody else has, including Indiana. Like
Indiana will make runs and crazy comebacks. But there are
times where you see the two teams and you go
there's a clear difference between the two, like a clef.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
It seems like Indiana is working harder to get things
done while okay See is just flowing through. That's what
That's what it seems like like. It seems like okay
See is like a loose number two, while Indiana is
a hard number two. You know what I mean. Yeah,
(04:44):
one flows a whole lot easier. It gets to the whole,
you know, it gets to the bowl a whole lot
easier than the other. It just seems like the it
just seems like okay c doesn't struggle to facilitate scoring.
I don't know, Asga makes it look easy. It just
always seems as though it's easier for them to score.
(05:06):
Now that might not be the case to them. That's
just what the appearance of it looks like.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, and the Thunder coach, but Jalen Williams was fantastic
last night. He had forty points for the OKC Thunder. Still,
you know, nowhere close to being the favorite to be
named Finals MVP if this is a rap.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
But their head coach Mark Daganaw.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Spoke about the performance of Williams following the game great
for us.
Speaker 7 (05:29):
I mean, that's the word, and we've used that word
with him in his development and when he's at his best,
he's playing with that type of force and that was
an unbelievable performance by him just throughout the whole game.
I mean, he really was on the gas the entire night,
applied a ton of pressure. Thought he made a lot
of the right plays, and we're going to need a
(05:50):
similar type of approaching Game six from him.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
You know, normally on this show, when somebody's on the gas,
it means like a PD violation. But apparently foot was
on the gay gotcha not not?
Speaker 3 (06:03):
He was on the game.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
I'm just it's all about the context. Brother to brother.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
I'm trying to figure this whole thing out.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
It just I really really hope that we're going to
get a seventh game.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
I just but I'm kind of it's not not only
are we not going to get a seventh game more
than likely.
Speaker 8 (06:30):
But.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I'll be curious to see what what the ratings are
on the game. I mean, I wonder what the interest level.
I think the interest level was probably moderate, as we
well know by seeing the fact that Stephen A. The
the expert of Experts was was on his cell phone
playing Solitaire allegedly what I don't know, it looked like
(06:57):
as what he was doing. I mean, I think he
did it kind of say, did it too during a
timeout or whatever? Who plays Solitaire for during a time
and it takes a little too long?
Speaker 2 (07:09):
And then and there was another video that popped up
of the game actually going on while he was playing.
So it's like, you know, look, I mean, hey, you
want to play Solitaire, that's fine. If you get multitask,
good for you.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
Man, he found out to be more interesting. You know,
I don't think it was multitasking. I just think you
do things that you find more interesting. Right Like, when
I'm doing certain things, I will go to either like
whatever I feel is, you know, kind of what I
want to do at that moment, and it's generally something
on my phone, whether it's checking my text messages, whether
(07:44):
it's checking my social media and seeing who said something
crazy on my social at any point, or checking my emails,
or just surfing, you know, just surfing the net, surfing
the web to see what's going on out there, checking
out the news, stuff like that. It's all things of interest, right,
It's all things of interest. So do you do you
(08:06):
do those things when you're driving a car? You shouldn't.
So if you're out there and you're doing that, I
could see if you get to a stop sign or
a stop light and you want to do it, but
you still should be paying attention to the road. And
that's kind of like what you should be doing. If
it's your job and you're at the game and you're
watching the game, it's kind of like driving the car.
(08:28):
You should be watching the game, making sure you have
your eyes on the game so you don't miss anything.
But you know, nonetheless, he'll still be able to give
us some good commentary. I'm sure there's enough researchers, an
army of researchers that'll be able to arm him with
the information that he probably did not capture with his
own two eye.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Now, he might not.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
Have got it with his own two eyes, but it's
okay because there were many other eyes that got it
for him.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah, I mean listening and look, you know, it's not
like this has been an exciting NBA Finals or anything.
You know, if some some would argue it's been the
more most exciting NBA Finals of had in a long time.
But I don't know if it was anything other than solitaire,
would you have had an issue with it?
Speaker 3 (09:09):
If it was anythingbody, if somebody posted a pick of
it being what porn or something like that, I think
I saw one. Okay, what was it that would be sifiable? Yeah,
I mean I might have been proud of him, you know, like, oh,
he's smutting it out like he's you know, he's he's
showing like grown man tendencies, you know. You know, guys,
(09:32):
that's what guys do. You know, they they look at
smut for some reason, good even the good ones. Dude,
don't lie. You know your spouse might be listening to
the show with you right now. They looked at you.
Do you really do that? Just you know, just take it.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
I mean, I would just take it.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Everybody, every every one of y'all have weak moments, you know,
I would say, there even the ones that pray, I would.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Say, there's a there's a clear difference between you know,
somebody on their phone playing solid Tear and then somebody
looking at boundinggag dot net.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
While the finals game has never heard of it, me neither.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I was just so, look, man, I think it's a
positive development, but it does feel like we're.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
Towards the end of the road here. This is a
nice story.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
And not boys to men.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Well, I thought that it was.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
If you remember back in twenty twenty two when it
was Celtic's Warriors, it kind of played out similar in
the sense that Boston was up two to one, they
had the game four, and we're leading in that game four,
and if they go up three to one, that's probably
Curtains and then all of a sudden, Steph Curry wills
(10:43):
his the Warriors in a comeback. They end up winning
Game four that even the series two to two. Boston
never recovered and the series is over in six and
Steph Curry's got his fourth ring, and it does feel
like Indiana had an opportunity in Game four to take
a three to one series lead. Ok C and SGA
put together a run, they even the series, and now
(11:06):
we're starting to see okay, this is this is why
there was a difference in the in the quality and
the odds that going into this NBA Finals. This is
why even while trailing the NBA Finals, the thunder were
still the favorite to win the NBA Finals. You're just
seeing that there's a different level if they're getting to
right now and Indiana's not there, so it feels like
(11:27):
we're you know, we're we're coming up on the end
and it'll be Thursday, So why wouldn't we take more
time to get there?
Speaker 3 (11:33):
So they took till Monday to give us this thank
It would have been better they gave it to us
on Sunday. Yeah, give us that, give us that l
that give us that kind of like not energy field game.
Give us a give us that product on Sunday. You know,
(11:57):
like look at the game, You're you're having Father's Day,
you know, snacks. I guess depending on where you're at
in the States, and see it on the weekend, you
made people like here's the thing, and I guess it
was good enough to watch until the end because it
(12:18):
was close, but still, nonetheless, it just did not seem
like it seemed like it was going to be a
very very tall task for Indiana to get ahead. Even
though they were close. It was like always fighting to
(12:39):
get to get to even you know. And so to me,
how many people really on a Monday night when you
have work, wanted to stay up and watch it? Was
it compelling enough programming to want to stay up and
watch it. I didn't have. I didn't I didn't have
(12:59):
that feeling of intensity of man like, this is much CTV.
But maybe it's just me Jonas, but I just felt
like this is turned into a total dud, kind of
kind of boring, you know, a boring, boring deal for
this whole NBA Finals. Right.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Let me ask you this, because now that we're on
this subject, you're starting to get a dose of what
it was like back in the day to have to
stay up to watch sporting events on the East Coast?
Does it land differently being on the East Coast and
the East Coast time zone, knowing that that game started
at eight thirty instead of five thirty, Yes, there's there's
(13:41):
a big difference.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Life is different on the East Coast, Man, It certainly is.
It's different. I love being there, and I love the
fact that I ain't got to get up early, you know,
to come come do the show. But damn, I mean
this is early to do the show. I mean it
is six o'clock six. But for one, I felt good
(14:03):
getting up at the time I got up. I felt
good about my hours of sleep I got still got
me six good good which I never get. Six hours
of sleep, got me good six hours of sleep. And
I did not dream about what I was going to
say as it pertained to the NBA Playoff Finals. I
just really did just wasn't on my mind like that.
(14:24):
In fact, I felt like maybe I'd wake up and
play Solitaire out of my sleep, because that would there
you go, that's a good call. I'm gonna just leave
it there.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
By the way, you at a Are you at Penn
State State College? Right now?
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Now?
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Is that the same place where Yep lead the lab
helped himself to a bag chips.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
That was correct. I'm in that room where they got
all the goodies. That's right. It's very tempting. Before we
went to the.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Tailgate, Before we went to the Stick City tailgate, LeVar
was doing his show and I was doing mine right afterwards,
and I'm waiting.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
I'm waiting as LaVar is.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Finishing up, and Lee just grabs a bag of chips
and starts eating a bag of chips and didn't belong
to him.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
A touched one man.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
It's but there's like a bunch of Halloween candy leftovers
and chips.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
I totally like, look man, like we're in a very
very secure area. And this secure area happens to be
during football season, so it's even more high security. You know,
you got all kinds of people out here on a Saturday,
on a Saturday on game day, yes, And Lee's just
(15:59):
walking around the facility, Like I was just walking around
the facility. I'm like, where did you go?
Speaker 5 (16:08):
Like, Bro, there was a big old TV I was
watching watching the.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Bro like something. It's interesting knowing like the whole spatial
awareness and understanding of what's going on around you like
you were so close to danger, bro, Like it's the
wildest thing. Like you had no idea how close the
danger you were, and you you were. You were running
(16:37):
the risk of getting grabbed up, yoked up, thrown up,
tossed up, and sat down before you even realize what happened.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Hey man, you know what.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
I'm sitting there looking at him like he comes back
in the room. I'm like, Leeve, you can't do that. Yeah,
we're can't. You can't just walk around the main Bruh.
You're in the death Star on game day and you
have you have no credential, Nobody knows who you are
(17:12):
on game day. We got coaches offices, you got game
plans on board, you know, you got, you got draft boards,
you got, you got recruiting boards, you got I mean Lee.
I looked at Lee and I was like the fact
that you were totally oblivious to the fact that you're
(17:33):
in Penn State's football building, the last building, walking around
unaccompanied with no type of.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
The trophy case and watching and watching the TV.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
So you know, the other part of this is, so
we're in State college last year. We're staying at the
graduate hotel, and we get there to do the Friday
morning show, and then LaVar and I have shows on Saturday,
and so we were gonna fly out later on that night,
but we were going to do our Saturday shows there
from the building, and LaVar was nice enough to get
(18:09):
us a space there so that we could do our shows.
And so I go downstairs at the hotel because Levar's
show starts at noon Eastern time. And I go downstairs
at the hotel Saturday morning, like around I don't know,
eleven thirty, like a half hour before LaVar's show, and
I get a coffee, and as I'm walking back towards
(18:31):
the elevator, I see Lee scrambling out of the elevator
with all his bags, and I'm like, well, geez, he
should have been there by now. Lee was in such
a panic. And then he got over there and he
tells me he's given me instructions on how to get
into the building when I arrive, and we walk in there,
(18:54):
and I can clearly see that, okay, like we've got
to be careful here.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
You got to tread.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Lightly like there is. If you're gonna get coffee, you
go once and you make straight to where you're going.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Yes, like everything you do, you go straight to where
you're going, you go straight back, and even that is
a risk.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Lee gave me the tour. You're in the weight room, coffee,
I saw everything. It was great.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Yeah I was in danger. I didn't even know it.
And here's what's crazy. Here's what's going to happen, because
this is what always happens, right, this is what happens.
Y'all get caught up. And the first thing Lee's gonna do,
it's say, we're here with LeVar, buddy. The first thing
(19:39):
he's going to do, Hey, buddy, no need the panic,
no need to worry. We're with LeVar. We do Fox
Sports Radio. We're here with him. That's the first thing.
Y'all going to Depth of Coaches and then you know
what's going to happen. You know what's going to happen
is they are going to find me where I'm supposed
to be. And mind you, had it happened after I
(20:02):
went over to the Stick City tailgate, oh god, y'all
would like it would have been no you you, it
just would have been over. I don't know what they
would have done with you being on air, but you
wasn't finishing that show.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
I tell you LeVar. LaVar leaves after his show. It's
fifty five, so my show starts in five minutes. LaVar
final words as he's quietly backing out of the room
where we're doing the shows from. He just said, hey, hey,
you don't leave here. You don't leave this this area
(20:36):
right here, this is where you can stay. And if
anybody asks, you don't know me, I don't know you.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
I was like, oh my god, terrified.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
I thought James Franklin was gonna come in with a
lasso and like take us out by the hips.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
It was frank That's the thing. I know exactly who
it is that will come in and get y'all. I know,
I can see it. I saw it playing out in
my mind. God, so fun.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
I had already met everyone the day before.
Speaker 8 (21:11):
So you.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Didn't meet everybody, and it ain't like they're going to
be like, oh, yeah, you're the guy so on the
field with LeVar yesterday, brouh and you saw how tight
that practice was. You couldn't do nothing. Lee got his
camera out there like buddy, buddy, buddy, and you know
(21:36):
they they used real language around here. They don't play around.
They're like, what that for you doing, Buddy, put it
down please like sorry, buddy, Buddy, We'll just try, you know.
I'm just over here with Jack cam camming it up, having.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
Couple of still shots.
Speaker 8 (21:55):
Buddy.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
I moved away from Lee Man. He was on his own.
He was by, Oh my god, coach, say, can you
please make sure I know exactly who it is that
you're bringing please?
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Well, it is two pros and a cup of joe
here on Fox Sports Radio, speaking of State College, speaking
of Penn State. Somebody who's in line to make Penn
State even more proud than they already are is one
Micah Parsons. Now, there's been some discussions about, all right, well,
what is this contract going to get done? When's this
deal gonna get done? Miles Garrett spoke with Abby Jones
(22:39):
of DLLs Sports and said the following about Micah Parsons quote,
I think he deserves whatever he's earned. I mean, the
guy is special. Once I got the chance to train
with him, I've seen his work ethic, I've seen how
he attacks the weights running. He is one hundred percent
committed to his craft and he's getting better every day.
(23:00):
He also went on to say he's someone who produces
on the field and has that dedication to the game,
he should get every penny he's owed.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Now.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Micah Parsons reportedly we've got a little more detail on
the negotiations with the Dallas Cowboys, and these are always fun.
According to Clarence Hill, the negotiation started with Michah Parsons
and Jerry Jones. They had some sort of a soft
agreement on the terms, but Jerry Jones had never spoken
(23:32):
with Micah's agent, David Mullageta, and that was back in March,
and since then it's just kind of like, whatever, we
just haven't really gotten the deal done yet, and so
Micah's kind of expressed a little bit of maybe confusion.
He said the following to Clarence Jones, it's going to
end up costing him more, so on and so forth.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
And he's absolutely right.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
But I would say this about Jerry Jones, and I
like to call this the fashionably late tax. I don't
think Jerry Jones mind's paying it. I really don't. I
think Jerry Jones is okay with the fact that, Yeah, listen, TJ.
Watt might get his deal done first, Trey Hendrickson might
get his deal done first. Micah Parsons, Listen, if it
cost us a little bit more on the back end
(24:16):
and we can stay in the news cycle and be
discussed a little bit more, then we're gonna stay in
the new cycle and be discussed.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
A little bit more.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
I don't think there's any question that the deal's gonna
get done this offseason. I just don't think Jerry Jones
cares at all about it taking longer and costing them more.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
I don't think he cares.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
I really don't. Yeah, I buy that. I buy that
at this point, I think it's happened enough where that
feeling of that sense of drama, will it get done
Like it was at the most craziest of a feverish
pitch with Dak Prescott and the unthinkable happened, Like he
(24:56):
got it, Damn he got it. I mean, I'll say unthinkable.
Based off of the conversations that were being had before
he got his contract. People thought the number that he
was going for, what was it, like forty million at
that point, Yeah, I believe like forty million a year,
(25:20):
and and people were like, it's not going to happen.
He's not going to get to where he wants to be,
and there were so many debates about where people fell
that everybody decided, you know, we live in a take
sides culture. Now you ever noticed that our culture is
(25:43):
so take sides driven. And in that instance, everybody that
was doing coverage on on football were taking sides with
Dak Prescott and you had the pro side, you had
the con side, and everybody had their arguments and their
discussion points as to why they felt that it would
(26:04):
or wouldn't happen, the way that people may have put
it out there, the way that maybe you know, Dak
may have you know, alluded to, whatever it may have been,
there were reasons why on both sides. You do not
have those conversations taking place now. They are not. These
are not headlines that are dominating the sports world. It's
(26:28):
actually barely being discussed. Yeah, and knowing that that's how
this is being handled, there is no real media value
to not getting the deal done with Micah Parsons. It's
been very non dramatic. It's been very very low impact.
There is no feverish pitch about it. And I think
(26:50):
that that's good that in the end, that's a good
thing because here's the reason why. Whether you're whether you're
for it or you're against it. It's being so intensely
covered and the stakes are being raised so high, and
how you saw it being handled when Dak Prescott or
(27:13):
when Zeke Elliott was doing his contract. It builds this
interest level and it builds this narrative that you got
to figure out which side you fall on or what
side was correct in what took place. And I don't
know that it gives a guy the fairest of opportunities
(27:37):
to just be the player that they need to be,
because that's ultimately what it comes back to, is being
the player that you need to be for the team.
And it becomes more about are they living up to
their contract, not are they being the player they need
to be. And for some strange reason, I think people
come up with by position what they believe that value
(27:59):
rep and I don't know that it's accurate or not.
I just know that very few people ever live up
to the expectation of what is created appearance wise. For
that player that waits and negotiates, like even with Hendrickson, right,
(28:20):
it just creates this narrative where it's like, oh, you
were going to hold out for this, you did all
of that to get this contract and this is all
you're going to. Oh you go get hurt. Oh you
didn't get the same amount of sacks that you did
last year, Well you ate. The dude almost got twenty sacks.
So to me, the fact that Micah is doing his
(28:42):
own podcast and when he goes viral, it's generally something
that he said or he's done, and it's nothing you
know that you would say. You know, it makes you
feel uncomfortable about him. You know, he's he's in you know,
he's I don't know where he was at, but he
was abroad. He was on the wall, the Great Wall.
(29:02):
He was you know, sumo wrestling. He he does his podcast.
He talked about, you know, all kinds of different topics.
I think Michael Parsons has done it the right way,
regardless of what people may have to say about He's
rubbed people the wrong way. Inside the buildings, Da da da,
it's been quiet. It's been quiet. You have not heard
(29:26):
anyone saying disparaging things about him, and I think that's
a good thing. And you you gotta assume the deal
is going to get done. I just asked the question Jonas,
how big is the deal? Is it just below Miles Garrett.
Is it right with Miles Garrett? Is it above Miles Garrett?
(29:48):
Those aren't only real questions that to me are the
major questions here in this topic.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
I mean, I think he beats Miles Garrett.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
I think that's I think whoever, and that's why maybe
when you've got three at the same position, maybe that's
sort of what the back and forth is. And one
of the things that was mentioned, and I think it
was Ian Rappaford of NFL Network, is that maybe part
of the delay, specifically with the TJ. Watt deal is
(30:17):
the fact that nobody knows for sure the exact numbers
behind Miles Garrett's deal, Like they know that the year
per the dollar amount per year, maybe some of the guarantees,
but they're not maybe totally sure how some of those
guarantees are split up and ration at it was, it
was something along those lines, and so maybe that's the delay.
But like we talked about yesterday, you know, Brooke Pryor,
(30:40):
who covers the Steelers for ESPN, saying that, well, you know,
the Steelers, you know, weren't they were kind of surprised
that TJ. Watt would want to reset the market. Well,
why would you be surprised he's had a better career
than Miles Garrett.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
That shouldn't be a surprise. Micah Parsons, no checkers and no, no, no,
no checkered flag.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yes, history, he's never he's never assaulted. He's never assaulted
a man with his own helmet.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
That's never happened.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
We didn't have to go that far. But there are
no real glitches at all. No checkers flows on on
on either one of those guys.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
I think he drives safe. Which which is?
Speaker 3 (31:18):
You know?
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Which helps as well too. I just like the Michael
Parsons stuff. Yeah, Dak Prescott, I get the debate. I
can get the debate. I never thought that Dak Prescott
was going to play anywhere other than Dallas. They were
never going to let him out of the building. I
get the debate.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Ceedee Lamb.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
I could kind of understand the debate. Zeke Elliott. I
could kind of understand the debate. There is no debate
with Michael Parsons at all. Whatsoever. He should reset the market.
He's in his prime, He's produced every single year, and
Jerry Jones does not care about the fact that it
may cost him a little bit more. It's the fashionably
(31:55):
late tax. I'm willing to pay it because we're going
to be in the story, and we're going to be
the center of the story throughout the course of training
camp leading up to the season. Whether it gets done
right before the year or during training camp, this deal
is getting done, man, Like I don't there's no nothing
about TJ.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Watt.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
I think I'll pose a question to you, do you
believe there's more of a chance that.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
The TJ.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
Watt negotiations go sideways or Micah Parsons negotiations go sideways?
Because I think it's TJ.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Watt I got. I have to say there's more pressure
on Pittsburgh in this scenario than Dallas because there is
no there's no reasoning to exercise as it applies to Dallas.
If you were to lose TJ. Watt based off of
(32:57):
not getting a contract done, I believe that has way
more impact than out of the two because I don't
see I don't see there being any circumstance any way
that Dallas doesn't do the deal with Michael Parsons. There
(33:19):
are no real MICA's not come out and made it
a thing. Dallas hasn't really come out and made it
a thing. So the fact that there hasn't been very
much conversation about it at all. I mean, there was
that one moment where could it get combustible where you
talk about I don't even know his agent, I haven't
(33:40):
talked to his agent. Maybe that was the moment that
was the crossroad where it could have happened and it
could have gained momentum to be a conversation, but it
didn't happen. Now, but there's so much going on in
Pittsburgh right now, there's so many question marks with Pittsburgh
and the way the quarterback situation has been. Days of
(34:00):
our lives, it's like you tune in for for your stories,
Like what are you doing? Dad's watching the stories? What's
the stories? Days of the Steelers' lives? Like what it's
going like the from from Fields to Wilson to now Rogers,
George Pickens, the Pickens, Like it's just it's just been
(34:24):
a constant no no time for rest, no time for
comfort or feeling really good about what's going on. And
it's tolerable because the team still is good and the
team still wins. If you get rid of or if
(34:45):
you lose out on having one of these singular major
elements assets, that is the reason why you're still able
to win in spite of and DJ Watt. The implications
of that, I mean, I think it's large enough to
lose your job. I think the implications of something going
(35:05):
wrong with the TJ. Watt situation and what could follow
after after that in terms of the season, would be
large enough for somebody to lose their job.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
It does, and that's why I pose the question because
I don't I don't think Mike It will get his
deal done. No concerns there, but I'm with you, it
does feel something feels a little off about the TJ.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
Watt Steelers stuff.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
And maybe it's because it's the second time you know,
he's he's looking to get paid. Ben Roethlisberger was on
his podcast and you know said, listen, last time he
was looking to get a contract, he held in. This
time he's holding out, he goes. So there's a clear
difference in his approach towards wanting to get a deal done.
I think, you know, if I'm a betting man, I
(35:52):
bet that they do get a deal done with TJ.
Speaker 4 (35:53):
Watt. But man, it wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
It wouldn't surprise me if if Pittsburgh was like, look,
this is getting too steep for us. If we can
get back enough draft capital and go in another direction,
maybe we'll go there.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
But this is it would be one of the biggest
moves in Steeler history, and it would most likely be
one of the biggest mistakes in Pittsburgh Steeler history. They
(36:28):
gotta pay him. You cannot afford to not pay the
man what he has established and earned as a Pittsburgh Steeler,
which is the right to be compensated fairly and kept
on the team. You do not have a replacement of
(36:49):
the value that TJ. Watt brings to your team as
the position that he plays or a personality that represents
that team. You don't have a replacement, So you do
not You do not allow for that to happen. You
do not allow TJ. Watt to not be a part
(37:12):
of the Pittsburgh Steelers. So it shouldn't be a big deal.
But if it were to turn into a big deal,
then now all that does is make things even more
weirder in terms of how you're viewing where is this
Pittsburgh team at This is like turning into something where
that's not this is not the Pittsburgh way. It's not
(37:34):
the Pittsburgh way. And that's going to become a major
conversation that ensues and how do you handle that?
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
It's time for our smooth operator. He's the one and
only Pte Prisco, senior NFL columnist for CBS Sports, CBS
Sports eight Q analyst. You can get him on X
if you want that smoke at Prisco, CBS and a
man who is feeling pretty confident that his Florida Panthers
are going to be hoisting a cup yet again.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Pete, Good morning, what's up guys?
Speaker 8 (38:15):
How are you hi?
Speaker 3 (38:16):
Pete? So what do you think of?
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Pete?
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Is the coronation on are you going to be at
the game coming up in sunrise later on tonight or what?
Speaker 9 (38:25):
I Am not going to be at the game. I
will be on my couch watching and they will be
hoist in the cup after about eleven thirty tonight and
dancing around that rink yeah, it's over done. It should
have been over already.
Speaker 8 (38:37):
I told you guys that last week.
Speaker 9 (38:39):
It should have been done already. They led in every game.
I mean they blew leads in two games. It should
have been done. They're the better team. And you know,
McDavid done hasn't done a great deal. He's still the
best player in the world.
Speaker 8 (38:51):
Don't get me wrong. Connor McDavid. By the way, Labar
that's his name.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
And thank you. Listen. I don't here today, won't care
tomorrow either, Just so we're clear on that.
Speaker 8 (39:05):
You do a sports show, you should care about hockey.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
All right, Well, here's our hockey segment right now.
Speaker 8 (39:12):
Yes, they they will close them out tonight and I
can't wait.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
But I'm seeing those bleeds for this game are like
a thousand dollars. So I don't blame you for going, Pete.
Speaker 9 (39:21):
Well you know what else too. I mean, if I go,
And here's the other part of that equation, when I
do go to gave me my wife's gout, it's way
out in Sunrise. I live in for loyal So I
got an uber because they're gonna have some drinks when
I'm there, and when I have some drinks. When I'm there,
I'm gonna have a good time. And they got an
uber out of there, and they usually stop by this
this seminal hard rock on the way home to have
some fun. And by the time I get home, it's
a thousand dollars night, you know what I mean.
Speaker 8 (39:42):
It's great to see.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Yeah, well, so that's a that's a good move, good
move to play it out. Now, speaking of thousand dollars nights,
what's so, what do you what's the vibe you're getting
on the TJ. Watt Steelers negotiations. Do you do you
think there's any chance this doesn't get done because we've
kind of and we can get into the Trey Hendrickson
(40:04):
and the Mica stuff, but the TJ.
Speaker 4 (40:06):
Watt feels like maybe it's.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
It could be dragging out a little bit longer than
some Steelers fans would hope.
Speaker 8 (40:14):
So you know what I always say about these negotiations,
they all show up. They always show up.
Speaker 9 (40:20):
You know, all the talk, all the bluster, all the
I'm not going to sit on the sit out games.
I'm not going to And here's why. They only have
so many earning years in their body and they know
that and everyone you let go to waste or half
the season go to waste, that's money you're never going
to get back.
Speaker 8 (40:36):
I don't care what they say.
Speaker 9 (40:37):
They can talk all they want about getting it back.
Speaker 8 (40:39):
And well, good point to Leveon Bell. How'd that work
out for him? It didn't.
Speaker 9 (40:43):
It never works out. So I think it's a lot
of bluster, it's a lot of negotiating.
Speaker 8 (40:48):
It's a lot of agent talk.
Speaker 9 (40:49):
And in the end, I think both sides will be
smart about it. They'll get a deal done and they
will and I think they'll all play and.
Speaker 8 (40:56):
All show up.
Speaker 9 (40:57):
Now when they show up a training cap. Look, nobody
wants to go to training camp as you can avoid
as much as that as you can find. But I
think as far as the regular season, when game one starts,
Hendrickson will be there. DJ Watt will be there. They
will all be there.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
That's interesting to me now when when you say they
will be there and you say you know, everybody has
to be on the same page, Pete, what does that
look like? Because the Miles Garrett contract has clearly set
what the market value of what those guys, in particular
Micah Hendrickson, TJ Watt, what they do in particular, do
(41:33):
you see do you see any of these guys breaking
or resetting the market that has been set by you know,
Miles Garrett.
Speaker 9 (41:45):
Well, I mean, when you think about it, that's the
way the quarterback market works. The next guy up usually
gets more, and so you know, can I see it happening?
Speaker 8 (41:54):
Absolutely?
Speaker 9 (41:55):
I mean you look at the average for year, Miles
making forty. I mean TJ. Watson in twenty eight, so
obviously he thinks he's underpaid and probably is, and so
he'll come up into that forty range. I mean, it's
really simple, I think if you sit down and do
it from that standpoint. But the problem is, I mean,
and Trey Hendricks is to making twenty one. I mean,
(42:16):
so bring him up into the forty. You know, if
it's not forty, it's thirty eight. And you know, I
just think there's ways around it. I think they get done.
But in the quarterback pecking order, it usually goes the
next guy up gets the next project. Then they'll restructure
this guy and then you got to go back up
and get the next guy. And that's usually the way
it works. And so I you know, look a lot
of these agents love the posture and then they send
(42:37):
out their tweets. And when when the guy sent out
the tweets, the deal gets done. That's negotiated by you know,
Joe Blow and Billy Billy Bob, you know, and they're like, great,
they got the deal done.
Speaker 8 (42:47):
That's their job.
Speaker 9 (42:48):
That's what you're supposed to do. And so I think
sometimes the agents use these guys to try and show,
Look how tough we are. We can go out and
get more guys. See when I held out TJ. Watt,
he got this, Like TJ. Wats going to go to
forty million dollars or so on his next deal. We
can pretty much pencil that in. Is that really tough
to do? No, But right now you're just posturing.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
He is Pete Prisco joining us here on Fox Sports Radio.
Get him at X at at Prisco CBS. Rather, I
do want to ask you about the There was a
report Jeremy Fowler set over the weekend that the Vikings
view their window to win a Super Bowl in the
next three.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
Years because of JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
He's on the rookie contract and that's part of the
reason why they decided to go with him. They trust
this plan more so than going the direction of Aaron Rodgers.
Based on the movement they've made this offseason, do you
feel like the Vikings are a viable Super Bowl contender
over the next couple of years.
Speaker 8 (43:44):
It's all on JJ. If you believe JJ McCarthy is
what they believe he is and they have a chance.
Speaker 9 (43:48):
If you don't, then no, do you and no I don't.
I didn't love him coming out. I thought he was
a decent player.
Speaker 8 (43:56):
I didn't.
Speaker 9 (43:57):
You know, I think he has a chance, but I don't.
Speaker 8 (43:59):
I don't think he's ever going to be a star player.
Speaker 9 (44:01):
In the in the in the you know, Jade and
Daniels walk into the building become a star player. I
don't see that for JJ McCarthy, and so I don't know.
They've upgraded their roster in some spots, absolutely. I mean
the interior the offensive line has been a problem. They
upgraded there. The interior of the defensive line has been
a problem. They've upgraded there. But it doesn't matter. All
that matters is JJ McCarthy can put up numbers uh
(44:24):
and and continue to roll that offense the way Sam
even Sam Darnold did for most of the last season,
and there are questions about that. So to answer your question,
I think they're the third team in the division.
Speaker 8 (44:34):
I really do. I think the.
Speaker 9 (44:35):
Packers are better. I think that the Lions are better.
Speaker 8 (44:38):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (44:38):
And I think they're the third team in the division,
just ahead of the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
What about the Jags? I know that's your.
Speaker 8 (44:45):
Team and you they're not my team. They're not my team.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Oh okay, what about the Jags that you really have
a fond uh, you know, affinity for the Jaguars? Uh
and and Prince Prince Trevor Lawrence charming? What uh? What's
your take on them this year? Like this is this
a make or break year for Trevor Lawrence? Is this? Uh?
(45:11):
I mean they got the new coach. It seems like
maybe they're they're going in the right downrection. I know
you may mention of the defense improving just by getting
a new coordinator. What where do you see the Jags
this year? Pete?
Speaker 4 (45:25):
Let them know about BTJ. Come on, I was come on.
Speaker 8 (45:29):
Well, I was there last week.
Speaker 9 (45:30):
I went there last week and watched practice for a
couple of days and talked to actually talked to Trevor
Lawrence a lot of coaches and stuff and and yeah,
they are better teams. But is it a make or
break year form? No, it's not a make or break
year form because of the contract. What it is is
is it a put up time year for him? Absolutely?
And you know I talked to him about that. Look
(45:50):
outside of Jacksonville, and even inside of Jacksonville, there are
questions about him and he knows that correct, But there's
been There's been a lot of things working against him.
That's why this year is portant for him because they
actually have a really good offensive system in with playmakers,
and so if he doesn't do it this year, it's.
Speaker 8 (46:07):
Going to be a major issue.
Speaker 9 (46:08):
Yes, I would agree from you from that standpoint, but
the contract says it's not a make or break because
he's going to be back next year no matter what.
So is it an important year, LeVar? Absolutely? I think
he's changed his motion, he's changed his mechanics. Think about
this guy's been in the league for four years and
they're working on his mechanics because he was a long strider.
And what's that say about the rest of the coaching
(46:29):
staff that's been there over the course of his time there. Well,
we know the urban experience, that's a disaster. I mean,
it was awful. And then you have, you know, the
next group that didn't really fix them. And so I
think you watched him throw. I watched him throw. It
looks tighter, it looks quicker. Now, will you revert to
the bad habits when the live bullets start?
Speaker 8 (46:48):
Who knows.
Speaker 9 (46:49):
But the reality is he's going to be a better player.
That team is going to be a better team. And
they think, you know, you talk about defensively. Defensively was
one of the worst disasters I've ever seen in this league.
That guy came in last year. Ryan Nielsen came in.
He told the defensive lineman the end to get heavier.
He took Josh heinz Allen had seventeen and a half
(47:10):
sacks the year before, and he made him go to
two eighty five. And you know what he did. He
walked into the room and threw hamburger meat onto the
table and said, mass kicks ass. And he made them
all the game win. Can you believe that.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
Mass kicks ass?
Speaker 9 (47:33):
And so he made Walker, He made Trayvon Walker get bigger,
He made Josh heinz Allen get bigger, and they weren't as.
Speaker 8 (47:41):
Explosive as they were.
Speaker 4 (47:43):
He threw hamburger meat on the table.
Speaker 9 (47:45):
Yeah, And I asked Josh heines Allen about that and
they were like laughing about it is unreal.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Was it eighty twenty or like, what are we working
with here? Was it grass found?
Speaker 9 (47:58):
I'm sure if it was eighty twenty, I mean they
were trying to put on wait it was.
Speaker 8 (48:02):
It was all that that fatty beat the other side,
the lean kind that caught sextra and it doesn't taste
is good? It was the real thoughts.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
That's just ridiculous. Now, I did mention Pete BTJ. Brian
Thomas Junior. You saw him, he got He got a
fraction of the coverage that Malik Neighbors got last year.
He was fantastic. He's one of the more impressive young
players in the NFL. How did Brian Thomas Junior look?
Speaker 9 (48:32):
Well, the day the first day was there, he went
down and practiced, so he was a hush and it
was an open practice with fans there, so it was
a hush over the place, but it was like a
ding and he walked off. He came back out in practice,
but he practiced the next day and talking to their coaches,
he is unreal. He can't, he can't be covered. He's big,
he's fast, he's improved his route running, and he's stronger
(48:52):
than he was a year ago. That guy is going
to be in the elite of the elite receivers.
Speaker 8 (48:58):
In this league.
Speaker 9 (48:58):
And I mean with Jefferson and Chase, that's where he's
going and he's not far off from that. I mean,
I'm telling you he is everything you want a wide receiver.
He doesn't talk a lot, he's quiet, so all the
Travis Hunter stuff doesn't really phase him, but you could
see where down the road it could. I mean, here
you have Travis Hunter come in and all anybody talks
about is at what Travis Hunter does, and they don't
(49:21):
pay attention to Brian Thomas Jr. When the reality is
one is the number one wide receiver, clearly is the
number one wide receiver. The other one is learning as
he goes. And believe me, he's got a ton of talent,
but he's raw as a wide receiver, and I think
he's ultimately going to play a lot more coigner than
people think too.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
Well, while we're talking receivers, and he brought up, we
brought up Travis Hunter. What do you think is going
to take place in Dallas. I feel like this is also,
in my estimation, a make or break. You on and listen.
Maybe my definition of make or break isn't based upon
them not being on the team anymore. It's definitely reputation.
(50:00):
And you know, kind of how you feel about the
player or whatever it may be, Dallas, how you feel
about Dak Prescott the idea of him playing with pickins
and ceedee, lamb, do you like this this deal? I
don't know that I ever asked you about this. What's
your feeling on that?
Speaker 8 (50:19):
I love this segment. It's Levar's players and the crosshairs.
I love it. Yeah, perfect, Yeah, yeah, you.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
Got those are two. Trevor Lawrence and Dak Prescott are
definitely in the crossairs.
Speaker 9 (50:29):
No doubt you're You're one hundred percent accurate. And I
think Dak Prescott people forget people forget LeVar that two
years ago Dak led the league in touchdown passes. I mean,
he really did. He came back, he had a good season.
Now the problem is he gets hurt, and he was
hurt last year. Now he's back healthy again. He looks
like he's trimmed down. They say, you know at this
time of the year, everybody's in the greatest shape of
their life. But he trimmed down, uh, and he has
(50:52):
another receiver to compliment, you know, CD Lamb. That will
help open up the passing game. I think the rebuilt
offensive line will be better. I do think Dak Prescott's
going to have a good season. And I think he's
a better player than he gets credit for. So yes,
is he in the cross has? Absolutely, and I think
that he will have a good season throwing the pickings
(51:12):
if he doesn't start complaining because he's not getting the ball.
And ceedee Lamb, who is one of the best receivers
in the league.
Speaker 2 (51:18):
Now, Pete, what are we looking at as far as
expectations reasonable expectations for the Cowboys this year?
Speaker 3 (51:25):
I mean, do we talk?
Speaker 4 (51:27):
I mean playoffs? Are they a playoff team?
Speaker 9 (51:30):
They can be a playoff team?
Speaker 8 (51:31):
Absolutely, yeah. I think they can push for that. They
can push for that division.
Speaker 9 (51:35):
Look, the Eagles are a class of the division, There's
no question about that. But again, it's hard to repeat
that division.
Speaker 8 (51:41):
Nobody ever does it. To win the.
Speaker 9 (51:43):
Division and and all that pressure of winning a super Bowl,
everybody's gunning.
Speaker 8 (51:49):
For you on a weekly basis.
Speaker 9 (51:50):
So on paper they're the best team, but it's hard
to repeat. It's hard to repeat in that division, and
I think Dallas and Washington can push him in the division.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
Absolutely, Pete, before you go, the Rams are having Maui camp,
all right, So would this be something that you would
be interested in attending if this becomes a yearly a
yearly thing where the Rams go to Maui or you
are you above that? And these these remote locations for
training camp or mini camps.
Speaker 8 (52:16):
No, I don't mind the remote locations because I do.
Speaker 9 (52:18):
Think that you get the bond and I think we
missed that nowadays and camp hasn't become what it used
to be. So I don't mind that from a football standpoint.
I just don't want to get on a plane and
go to Maui.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
Absolutely, that's a long flight.
Speaker 8 (52:30):
It's too it's too long.
Speaker 9 (52:31):
It's too long to get on a plane and go there.
Speaker 8 (52:33):
But it's just for work too. What are you going
to do?
Speaker 9 (52:35):
You're going to go in for a couple of days
and cover the camp and then get out of there.
For me, no, absolutely not from the Rams standpoint. I
mean great, I mean you get there because once you
get there, you're there, you're based there. But you know, look,
we know training camp and what it's become.
Speaker 8 (52:50):
It's a it's a country gloves.
Speaker 9 (52:52):
There's no hitting, there's no tua days, there's no you know,
they play music and the guy who has the best
practice even miamis the day before it gets to pick
the music. It's fun, it's.
Speaker 8 (53:04):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 4 (53:05):
But think about this though.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
From Fort Lauderdale to Mauia, I think it's probably like
around a ten hour flight. So imagine how you could
get banged up on that flight. Pete, that's ten hours
of the liver lube with Pete Prisco. You could put
on a show for ten hours in the air all
the way to Mouth.
Speaker 9 (53:20):
You know what that means though, That means you got
to deal on a plane in it to ten hours
with a bunch of morons and jackasses all over the place.
I mean, think about it. You do you ever anybody
ever liked the people they fly with?
Speaker 3 (53:36):
I have? I got it?
Speaker 4 (53:37):
I got it.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
Yeah, And I'll tell you. I'll give you. I'll give
you some stories one day. Peek next time I see
you that we'll talk about oh something over Denver, huh
A mile hot. I'm just saying. I've just said some
people choose to use their time. Why is that boulevar LaVar.
Speaker 9 (54:04):
That's one that's one flight out of Like if you
that's one flight and you've probably had millions of other
ones with a bunch of idiots on there, guys pushing
to the front. And you know, though, you know what
I'm talking about. The guy, the plane lands and the
idiot from the back starts rushing to the front, right, cramming, cramming,
(54:26):
is overhead his suitcase, trying to cram it into the
overhead even though he should have just paid the forty
dollars to check it.
Speaker 8 (54:32):
It's unfit.
Speaker 9 (54:33):
So now he holds up the plane. I can go
on and on. Arm rest arms, armress guy, who, by
the way, I never lose armress guy, get it, move
your arm.
Speaker 8 (54:43):
You're not gonna never lose.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
Shet off my arm wrest Pete.
Speaker 2 (54:51):
As always, we appreciate it. We'll do it again next Tuesday,
and hopefully your panthers get it done later tonight.
Speaker 8 (54:58):
They will.
Speaker 9 (54:58):
By the way, sat back guy is a other one.
Speaker 8 (55:00):
I gave him here.
Speaker 9 (55:01):
I get on him too. I think that beats the
whole flight and then the other one. One last thing,
my top one hundred NFL players coming out today.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
So all right, okay, yeah, so let's let's let's check
this out. So that's and it's a yearly thing, and
it takes you. It takes you a long ass time
to put this stuff together.
Speaker 3 (55:17):
Correct. What time does it come out, Pete?
Speaker 9 (55:19):
I don't last sure what time it'll pop up, but
I'll be all over CBS, h Sports HQ and the
network and everything today. So by the way, I started as.
Speaker 8 (55:27):
The top fifty.
Speaker 9 (55:28):
I was the first one ever to do.
Speaker 8 (55:29):
That way back in the day. But when they when
expanded to.
Speaker 9 (55:32):
A hundred, so now you got one hundred, and believe me,
nobody is ever happy, and I'm okay with it.
Speaker 3 (55:37):
That's great.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
So that we'll be looking looking for that, and I'm
sure there'll be some gripes coming your way, but Pete
is always fun times and we'll do it again next week.
Speaker 8 (55:46):
You got to take care of guys.
Speaker 2 (55:47):
There is the great Pete Prisco, senior NFL columnist for
CBS Sports CBS Sports HQ analysts and you can get
him on ex at Prisco CBS. And yes, his top
one hundred will be coming out later on. And the
best is if you complain to Pete on social media,
and you complain to him about anything on the list,
(56:07):
he will wear you out on social media and he'll
make a show of it. He's not gonna reply to
you directly. He'll quote retweet it so that everybody can
see him put you in a clown suit on social media.
That's that's how that's how accommodating Pete Prisco is
