Speaker 5 (00:58):
Heah, how we're doing this Friday morning?
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Do you think Chase Brown of the Bengals is watching
that Broncos Raiders game going? Why can't we get that
defense you know what, We'll trade you. You give us
your awful offense, and then we'll go join that team.
So we got an awesome defense, and then we would
just beat everybody in the history of the league by
(01:22):
thirty five points. Because Denver's offense is brutal.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
It's bad.
Speaker 7 (01:28):
We didn't have a great night. No, no, it's a
little care at least.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
But neither quarterback did, neither offense did. And these are
like short weeks, familiar opponents' division rivals. This always kind
of works out that way. You're gonna have bad games,
and this was one.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
Offensively, Denver found a way to win.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
I kind of look at this team as like I'm
not saying a team of destiny dre, I say.
Speaker 7 (01:51):
Oh God, did you do it?
Speaker 3 (01:52):
If I look a they're finding ways to win. You
got to take your hat off, give the credit. It's ugly.
But you know, we always talk about the best team
know how to win in multiple ways.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
I think the Broncos have to find that this season.
Speaker 7 (02:05):
Have they they know how to win it multiple ways?
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Yeah, because they look across the field. Sometimes they go up,
they're gonna do this, and they get it done. Got
job done, bar.
Speaker 8 (02:15):
Dang they go down that lane. Huh, Like even when
they supposed to get it get.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
It done, but they're winning, they're finding a way.
Speaker 8 (02:23):
You know, I'll say this, I would rather a team
developed during the course of a season winning this way
early on than the latter, like then then blowing teams
out in you know, like how we were talking about
the Colts.
Speaker 7 (02:39):
And stuff like that, right like, they've.
Speaker 8 (02:41):
Been beating teams by to two possession deficits And can
you can you handle playing from behind?
Speaker 7 (02:51):
Can you? You know?
Speaker 8 (02:52):
Always like, well, that's probably a bad term these days
because Peter probably get caught up. No, no, no, the
aint that's funny. I was going to say, you know,
I put to you like this, I'll take it out
of dogs. I put it on wrestlers. I like a
wrestler that knows how to fight on their back, right
like uh a m m a fighter, right, Like it's
(03:14):
easy to be able to try to get things done
standing up, you know, It's it's easy to be front
and running when when you have a situation, But what
can you do when you're on your back?
Speaker 7 (03:24):
What do you do when.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
When you're when you're in your guard?
Speaker 7 (03:27):
You there you go, there you go there you go.
When you're on your guard.
Speaker 8 (03:30):
You know, if you know how to fight in your guard, man,
that that is one of the most roofless There you go.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
Gown is back and Denver is the team.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
So it's not weird when two guys are wrestling like
that and grabbing each other.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
That's right, that's right, that's right. It's not something else.
Speaker 7 (03:52):
Yeah, that's right. It's it's not they lovers, no.
Speaker 8 (03:59):
Anyway, And if they are, hey, that's that's your choice.
Speaker 7 (04:04):
That's your call.
Speaker 8 (04:05):
But I'll say this, Denver is loving winning and they're
getting it on their back.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
Like Jesus.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Jonas this up.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
You know, I just in watching the game last night,
I'm like, as somebody, as somebody who grew up as
somebody who grew up a Bears fan. I was watching
that game last night, going, huh, I've seen that before.
I know exactly what that feels like, dominating defense and.
Speaker 8 (04:41):
You're talking you're too young for for Mike and all, Yeah,
no it was.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
But there was a year I can remember them. I
can remember early years being a Bears fan. There was
a year they had more rushing yards than passing yards
in a season. I remember that being talked about on TV,
and I mean Neil Anderson back in the day, Ordigator.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
By the way, Jonas isn't that old, like he he's
old enough to remember the eighty five Bears.
Speaker 9 (05:08):
Nah?
Speaker 7 (05:09):
Yeah, yeah, I mean really it.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Was Jonas forty four.
Speaker 6 (05:13):
Yeah, I was around ye old enough.
Speaker 8 (05:15):
He's old enough. I'd be talking like I'm way older
than yah. But eighty one he don't remember. Yeah, you
don't remember.
Speaker 6 (05:22):
I don't. I don't remember that.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I just remember seeing Bears teams where it's like they
couldn't score and you were just hoping defense and special
teams were going to make plays.
Speaker 6 (05:31):
And that's what Denver do.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Like how we just tried to make you older than
you actually are.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
Oh, I don't care.
Speaker 8 (05:36):
I mean forty four sounded old. I was like, dang,
I'm only that a little bit older than it's.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Geez, you old ass, your old old.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
There's old day.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
There's times where I forget Jonas is older than me.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I just from our conversations, I'm like, oh, all right, dang, yeah,
just kind of sit back.
Speaker 8 (05:54):
But you sound like you should be the older brother,
but you definitely sound like you're the younger brother. Like
it's it's funny, do you you have you have an
interesting dichotomy. Yeah, it's like you have that that command
did not feel like how you owned Albert yesterday, like
you have an old head.
Speaker 7 (06:09):
Command of your how you handle things.
Speaker 8 (06:13):
But but you can tell by some of the things
you're saying, dude, that you're the younger one that sure
what it is?
Speaker 7 (06:21):
Did you obliterated him yesterday?
Speaker 10 (06:26):
Peacock and around However, number one, I'm like, hold on
a second, pal, Albert need to do uh, like, just
go take a shower. Afterwards that was Albert looked at
checking it walking in Peacocking like that look stand football
playoff rankings walking.
Speaker 7 (06:43):
Then he looked at his seat.
Speaker 8 (06:45):
He had a straight stain on his seat after that call.
Right there, I'll tell you what I felt. I felt.
I felt like I was getting there. I was like, god, dang,
where did this come from? Hey man, No, I don't
want it at all, Like I'm just you know, I'm
just here for the rat guys, you know, and.
Speaker 7 (07:04):
So is Denver. I tell you what, back to my
original point.
Speaker 8 (07:10):
If you know how to win these ugly, ugly games,
because it was an ugly game, you got that right.
Bronco's baby, and in spite of poor quarterback play, in
spite of limited offense production, and that's putting it lightly
limited offensive production. This is a team that all they
(07:34):
have to do is stick to the script because again,
like Sean Payton mentioned in the interviews that he's done,
they're learning how to win games no matter what the
odds and circumstances are. And they've been very, very extreme
on the other side of they should like you met
you highlighted it yesterday, Q.
Speaker 7 (07:55):
There were games. There's plenty of games that.
Speaker 8 (07:57):
You could look at and be like, they should have
lost that game, they should lost it, but they didn't.
They didn't lose it. And now they're doing it consistently.
And while I'll agree with Sean Payton, get to a
point of where you don't have to win that way,
get to a point of where you're starting to win
and it doesn't have to come down to the wire,
doesn't have to be so close. But nonetheless, getting that
(08:19):
type of experience as a team I can only imagine
builds a tremendous amount of confidence and belief in one another.
Speaker 7 (08:26):
Like when do you ever feel like you're out of
a game? Never? So I think it's interesting to see
a team like this.
Speaker 8 (08:34):
While I'm not ready to crown them as like the team,
you got to give Sean Payton a whole lot of
credit because systems tend to struggle a little bit more
and generally don't have the type of success that you
had that you were able to create at other places.
(08:55):
And while Sean Payton doesn't have a Drew Breese on
his hands, he's he's finding ways to win and and
you got to give him and his coaching staff a
lot of credit for that.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Okay, is it Sean Payton or Vance Joseph that deserves
some love because the head coach coach?
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Because here here's why I say that.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Andrew Whitworth brought up this point that I think people
forget about. Remember, I think it was last year when
the Dolphins scored seventy points on the second defense, And it.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Was last year, two years ago.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Two years ago might have been to m you look
at where this team's at now. Their defense is made.
I think it's the best defense in the league. Like
Gino Smith had no time, He had no time the
entire night and he ended.
Speaker 8 (09:40):
Up sitting down, yeah the night, like we're going we're
gonna we're gonna wrap this up, you know, and give
me that doggie bag, give me the to go bag,
like we're gonna leave.
Speaker 7 (09:50):
Uh yeah, we're leaving a restaurant.
Speaker 6 (09:52):
But you're you're your guy.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Sean Payton did talk afterwards about getting to eight wins
the first team in the league.
Speaker 7 (10:00):
Did he say, are.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
You comfortable with the script of just kind of how
these games?
Speaker 7 (10:05):
Those coaches?
Speaker 11 (10:06):
But there's no butts, So you're asking am I comfortable
as a coach?
Speaker 7 (10:11):
We're never satisfied.
Speaker 11 (10:13):
If my answer were to you, I'm comfortable, that'd be silly, right,
So obviously, we.
Speaker 7 (10:20):
Gotta we gotta.
Speaker 11 (10:21):
We got to clean up the penalties. We had to
clean up some of the execution, and and that is
an ongoing thing that probably never ends. There's you know,
you you search for that shangri la right now. You know,
we're team sitting at eight wins. I think we're the
only team sitting there. So and yet we're constantly looking
internally starting you know, but that was it was a
(10:43):
tough night offensively obviously, and and uh, you know, and
I give them credit, you know they did they did
some things differently that we hadn't seen. And you know,
you start looking at your call sheet with your sub plan,
and so we'll look at that tape and we'll learn
from it.
Speaker 7 (10:58):
We always will.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Do you think guys on offense are afraid to look
defensive players in the eyes after a game like that?
Speaker 8 (11:05):
Like, no, no, man, you win, that's all that matters.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
You win, you make correct the mistakes, you move on.
Speaker 7 (11:13):
Man, Can I give y'all a quick reminder?
Speaker 5 (11:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (11:16):
Yeah, the Raiders stank?
Speaker 6 (11:19):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (11:22):
You you you pulled out. You pulled it out against
a funky team. That team stinks and I know they
have familiarity. I know it's a divisional opponent, a divisional rival,
but they stink. Like this team is bad. They're bad.
(11:42):
They're bad, not the Bears. They're bad. That's what I'm
going Let's just keep that in mind, Like, let's keep
it in a proper perspective. They didn't pull out a
ten to seven win over the Chiefs, you know what
I mean, Like, they didn't do that over the Charger,
even though they did beat the Chargers.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
They did beat the Chargers right on the vision I
think in the division.
Speaker 8 (12:08):
Yeah, I mean, they're number one in the division and
the Chiefs are number three. Can you imagine we live
in a world right now where Patrick Mahomes and Andy
Reid are third in their division? That is crazy matter.
But with that being said, let's keep it in whoa
they coming for it?
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Yeah, I mean the Chargers they're coming for Chargers are
too banged up, Like they'll make a run.
Speaker 6 (12:30):
Chargers are too banged up. They can't. Joe also out
for the year.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
It's like every game the Chargers lose a key piece,
either on the offensive line or elsewhere. It just it's
every year, every year this happens with them.
Speaker 8 (12:40):
So you know, they got to figure it out before
before it gets too late in the season. Like, it's
great to be able to win this way. It's great
to have that confidence. But ten to seven, like, is
that sustainable? Like, to me, that's the question. If I'm
Sean Payton, the question I'm asking myself is how sustainable
is the way we're winning?
Speaker 7 (13:01):
Is that sustainable? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Yeah, but they have one shootouts too. I mean this
this is just one again, short week divisional opponent. Like
they found a way to get it done. I just
I'm not gonna read too much into it, you know,
I think when you have a poor offensive performance, you
look back through some of their other offensive performances and
you say, the offense, you know, hasn't always been the issue.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
Maybe slow starts.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
You know, they've been a fourth quarter team, second half team,
and that's something you want to address. You'd like to
just kick someone's teeth in right away and not have
to worry about it. But that's the NFL, like it's
it's not gonna work out that way. So again, I'm
I'm more impressed with their ability to find ways to
you know, to find resolve and win football games. It's
(13:44):
hard to do in the NFL. I don't care who
they're playing against. I don't care if it's the Jets,
I don't care if it's name your whoever you feel
like is the worst team in the NFL. Win's a win, man,
Win's a win, And I'll take that any day of
the week if I'm Denver. And we'll see how it
stacks up with the end of the year.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
So you played obviously with the Broncos, Brady, and I'm
a weather geek, and al Michaels was pointing out that
the wind.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
Was I played with the Broncos before.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Did you well, okay, so let me all right, so
let me.
Speaker 8 (14:16):
Ask bang I banged them boys, I mean bad like
talk about violation.
Speaker 7 (14:24):
The boys up, all right, I'm joking.
Speaker 8 (14:27):
No, let me go back, but no, I mean I'm
feeling frisky. I don't know, man, it's that State college
air man, I think.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Because I mean, if you played there, This is what
I'm wondering. So I'm trying to find, you know, some
sort of a logical explanation as to why they struggled
the way they did. Obviously, special teams weren't great really
on either side, especially for readers. Well, the winds were swirling.
It looked like it was the first touch of fall
weather in Denver. So did that have any impact and
(14:57):
does that have any impact on an offensive formance? And
is that any reason as to why maybe last year
the win?
Speaker 5 (15:04):
Of course it could.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
I mean, I don't know that it played that big
of a role last night, but it definitely plays a.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Bit of a role in the passing game, kicking game.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
You know, the different stadiums that that's not one that
I felt like was overly difficult because of the structure
of it. You go, like Cleveland to me was a
tougher one. If the wind got you know, you know,
whipping around in Kansas City. That was tough because it
was again more of a bowl, and so you kind
of had to understand if you're throwing into the end
(15:33):
zone out of the end zone, which direction, and like,
you know, that was that was more of an issue
with that.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
It just depends. The hardest stadiums are.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
The ones to me that that are bowls only because
you've got multiple ways in which you've got to change
how you're kicking or throwing. Whereas if it's if it's
like a Cleveland for example, was really only one way,
Like it was one.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
Direction that you had to worry about. You're either with
or against for.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
The most part, and that kind of dictated how things went.
So I just I look at it and say, I
don't think when was as big of a factor last night.
I mean, it definitely plays a role, but not not
why their offensive.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
Performance was was poor.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
I thought the Raiders had a good game plan, and
you take your head off, you give them credit.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
Yeah, I think you said it depends.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
I thought he was a smooth he just kept going though.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
I was like, no, I wanted to talk football.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
I didn't want to talk about but I will if
I have to, I will because depending on the prostate

they they saw everything they needed to see.
Speaker 7 (17:08):
That's how much I'm into my long game.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
Smoking a sick he walked out all right, So.
Speaker 7 (17:14):
Hey, there was a good looking nurse up there there.
Speaker 8 (17:18):
I was sitting there like, oh my god, she's about

Speaker 12 (17:22):
You gotta appreciate the cute ones.
Speaker 8 (17:25):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I'm like, but but I'm going
to be like vulnerable, like passed out vulnerable like they're
sitting there around my butt talking about, oh yeah, that's
that's a good look.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
Told be the differ.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Between like men and women, because I do feel like
there's more female nurses than than than male nurses. So
like when women go in, you know, they're not going
to be like checking out the past. They're probably having
a nice conversation. Men are always like, oh that's a
nice looking nurse.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
Hey, bruh.
Speaker 8 (17:56):
Don't you got to ask yourself the question when you
go to when you go to get that that checkout

Speaker 7 (18:03):

woman to do it?
Speaker 11 (18:05):

Speaker 7 (18:05):
Which one is it?
Speaker 8 (18:06):
Like, Like I'm sitting there like thinking to myself, I'm
having a conversation with my doctor about my butt. He's
telling me how beautiful my film looked.
Speaker 7 (18:19):
Jesus, I'm like, what what it was? Its?
Speaker 5 (18:24):
Getting their ticket?
Speaker 7 (18:25):
Look, everything looked amazing. Hey, you know check that.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
Out, Jonas, Let's see that beauty.
Speaker 7 (18:31):
Hey, let's go get a drink later.
Speaker 8 (18:32):
Huh Hey happy somewhere.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
When you go to East Lanson, man, they moon you
different there.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Like it's not just like they bend over, you see
the crack they spread the cheeks.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
So it's it's like.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
Philly too, do they spread cheeks?
Speaker 5 (18:48):
Yeah, that's a nasty Philly. Y'all are a nasty man.
Speaker 7 (18:52):
Bruh.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Yeah, you don't need to do.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
I don't need to see anything other than the crack
if you're gonna moon me, all right. I just remember
from the planet days many there are some nasty people
there in East slanting.
Speaker 8 (19:04):
Talking about slant. There's gobblers out there that day. Boy,
I'll tell you that.
Speaker 7 (19:12):
Was like, look a dude talk about spread what?
Speaker 2 (19:25):
So I did want to mention this, obviously on the
subject of football, that yeah, there's a Friday, and you
know what that means.
Speaker 7 (19:32):
Friday.
Speaker 6 (19:33):
You know we spread these cheeks.
Speaker 8 (19:35):

Speaker 6 (22:01):
Of Football final this FSR.
Speaker 7 (22:05):
But right now the word though triumphant.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
It is time for the week eleven edition of.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
This I'm a winner winning.
Speaker 7 (22:16):
Heres all illnesses, it really does. I'm going to win.
Speaker 12 (22:20):
It's Quinn's wins, all right.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
We're not going to talk about Week ten because we
were basically a game away from being five hundred and
it was just an awful, awful bad beat Uva versus
cow a pick six with less than thirty seconds left
to hit the cover for Uva.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Anyway, we found some trends though, unders over unders. We've
hit on one last week in the Georgia game.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
This week it's Kentucky hosting Florida. Two good defenses in
the SEC, but also too good a bad offenses, and
this has been more of a trend for Kentucky of late.
You recall took Texas into overtime, took him to the ropes.
This over under said forty five and a half. Florida's
riddle with injuries. This always kind of feels like that
(23:03):
Mark Stoops late in the year gets a good win
at home over someone they probably shouldn't beat. In this case,
I believe Kentucky is a three and a half point
three point dogs somewhere in that vicinity, but I like
the under better than anything else here to start off,
Today's Quinns wins. Next up, and you'll see a trend
here too, A lot of dogs, all right, it's a
dog even pick Ucla hosting Nebraska. Now, Nebraska just lost
(23:30):
Dylan Royola for the remainder of the season.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
But Nebraska showed me something.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Matt Rules building a program there in Nebraska. The way
he's got the defense playing, they can run the rocket
a little bit. Latif will take over at quarterback, more
of a mobile quarterback. The offense will look a little
bit different, which is one of the reasons why I
feel like they ended up giving up that game to
Southern cal mostly because, I mean, Ryley is one of
more prolific passers. Latif is a little better balancing things
(23:57):
out with his legs. So I think they're one and
a half on the road at UCLA. I'll gladly take
the point half, not sure they necessarily need it. Jonas
keep me honest too, with somebody spreads. I know they
tend to change in the last twelve hours from when I.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
Last looked at them.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Oh yeah, I'm on it all right.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Next up here in Iowa City, a big one in
the Big Ten, the Hawkeyes hosting the Oregon Ducks. Oregon
kind of hitting them the teeth of their schedule now
coming to an Iowa Hawkeye team is one of the
better defenses in college football, one of the better rushing
teams in college football. Mark Gronowski their quarterback. He's been phenomenal.
(24:36):
I think he's got eleven rushing touchdowns of the season.
That's more than Baylor. That's more than North Carolina rushing
the football. It's more than South Carolina rushing the football,
so they can get after him.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
And Oregon's weakness it's been the running game.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
If you looked at their lost Indiana for example, got
dominated physically there, Northwestern, even Penn State. I thought both
those teams had a better job and holding the line
of scrimmage versus them, even though Oregan.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
Was able to pull it out.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
I like Iowa getting six and a half at home.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Crazy environment.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
If you haven't been here, it's one of the better
venues in college football. But I think Iowa keeps US
one close, not even maybe pulling off the upset.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
All right. Next up, we've got three more favorites for you.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
LSU headed down to Tuscaloosa, a tee town, to take
on Bama. Bama's laying nine and a half at least
last time I checked, I'd normally say this line's too big.
I'm just not sure where this LSU team is. I
think it's a bad matchup for LSU.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
Two.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
They're on the road, they can't run the football. They
have a hard time stopping the run. It just gives
me the feels that Bama's gonna run all over him.
At this point, LSU has got a lot of players
who are probably looking on to next year's draft at
this point. Next up, West Virginia hosting Colorado. Juju lewis
the highly touted freshman. We'll get his first start on
(25:55):
the road. Taken on Juju, He's taken on one of
the more high pressure defenses in college football. Zach Ally,
the defensive cooridating blitz is over fifty percent of the time,
so tough sledding. West Virginia come off a huge win
versus Houston last week the Land six and a half
last time I checked. We're gonna lay the six and
a half points here with the Mountaineers. And then finally
(26:18):
Clemson land two and a half at home versus Florida State. Look,
I'm still a believer in this Clemson team. I'm not
gonna give up. I know it's a tough loss last
week versus Duke. I think they rebound here. And it
tells you, by the way, where Duke is compared to
Florida State in my mind. But Adam Randall has done
a good job running the football, arguably his best game
last week in that Duke loss.
Speaker 5 (26:39):
Lay the two and a half points.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Clemson comes away with a win, and that's it for
this week's Quinns wins.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Quins wins.
Speaker 7 (26:50):
Yee.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
It gets me every time.
Speaker 7 (26:52):
I know, hey man, it's really good, bro, all right?
Speaker 8 (26:58):
Does it take like you're like a prepper guy, Like,
how how long does it take for you to prep
all that stuff?
Speaker 3 (27:05):
You'll appreciate this, I go off vibes, so I initially
and by the way people are listening are probably like, well,
you're an idiot because you're not even doing well this
year in college, which is true.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
So maybe fade me if you want. By the way,
how many of those lines have changed.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Florida Kentucky the over unders forty four and a half.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
Yeah, so it's moved down a point, which makes sense.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
Alabama.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
Alabama's up to ten a ten point favorite. Yeah, and
Clemson is down to a one and a half point favorite.
So that don't hope you know that hope there?
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Huh No. I usually go through and I look, you
said one and a half.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
I'll look at I look at which spreads look off
to me just having watched these teams play, and I'll say, okay,
you know that team is favored by too much or
you know, not enough, and I'll get a general sense.
Then I've kind of watched out the course of the week,
how the lines move it after they open, and then
obviously I'm watching more tape of it too, so I'm
getting kind of a different feel for maybe how the
(28:04):
match up.
Speaker 5 (28:04):
Look at the injury report. Uh, it all depends.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
But you know, to me, like that's the fun of
of you know, the games in college football is I've
got the ability to see so much and get a
feel for like how I think things are gonna play
out now again, like you have a bad beat like
Uva and Cal where that thing was in the bag
five and a half points. You know, UV is up three,
there's thirty seconds left or whatever. You know, you chalk
(28:29):
it up as a loss. But in all, in all fairness,
like that situation very rarely plays out.
Speaker 6 (28:35):
You were on the right side of that.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
That was on the right side of that is Pete
Prisco would say, so, Grandpa Prisco, he's taught us so much.
Do you know he's got I was gonna start making
him T shirts Like he's got all these sayings, like
he'll say, what's good for me is good for me.
What you are, you are, what you are? You know
he always will for me.
Speaker 7 (28:55):
It's good for me. It's a great one. I love that.
Speaker 6 (28:58):
I'll show up.
Speaker 7 (28:58):
I love that's saying.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
I live to call me the quarterback defender.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
We would always whenever he said I was on the
right side of that bet or whatever, he would also go,
but you were.
Speaker 8 (29:15):
It's just Papadakis and Pete Prisco ever like talked on
radio together.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
No and and they're.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Like East coast West coast mixes. I don't know that
it'd be a good mix.
Speaker 8 (29:28):
It's like East Coast West Coast curmudgeons. Though like like
it's like that, the West Coast brand of it, the
East Coast brand of it.
Speaker 7 (29:36):
I think it would make for interesting And well, what's.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
What's amazing about Pete? And this is what I appreciate
is he's unfiltered.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
He doesn't hold back, and he's able to say how
he feels in the fewest amount of words I've ever seen. Like,
his brevity is incredible, and the best part about it
is like something tragic could have happened in that player's
life and he just go he stinks he can't play,
should be on the field.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
Feel bad for him, but he stinks.
Speaker 7 (30:04):
He's just gonna keep it real. Like that's that's the
bottom line.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
That's how Pete is that he always has been, always
will be. Man, he's awesome.
Speaker 7 (30:13):
Shouts out to Pete.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
What p Yeah, what up?
Speaker 8 (30:15):
Pete?
Speaker 6 (30:15):
What's he doing? What's he doing today?
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Just taking out because Pete, how much time? How much
prep does he put into his picks? Because he takes
those very seriously.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Uh, outside of watching the games, I think he doesn't
really do anything more than that. But yeah, Irisco, I
mean that's probably why he lost every year.
Speaker 7 (30:40):
How you feel about these picks this week?
Speaker 8 (30:42):
Like you were under five hundred bout one last week
that like you feel good, it's a bounce back week.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
I had actually like four more, four more. Actually, I'll
be honest, No, I don't feel great about anything anymore.
I'm second guessing everything. At this point in my college
football picks, I was. I was flip flopping through a
number of games that I just ended up taking off altogether.
I actually had four more games I was gonna pick.
Then I realized it was probably too much for her
for our shows, like I'll be talking for way too long.
(31:10):
So I took off four of those. I've might have
flip flopped on one of these picks too. So No,
it's a disastrous season for me in college football betting.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Yeah, but you know what, look at all those bowl
games you're gonna have, Like there's plenty of time here
to No.
Speaker 7 (31:22):
I know. That's why.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
That's why I said, like the last week of the
regular season in college football, I may just go heavy
on everything.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
You know, we want to go money line, like take
the money line approach. If you want to get extra
credit points on that.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
Oh, you're gonna hate our picks against the spread them
this week.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
Yeah, I'm already dready.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
I'm sure you've already peaked at that, haven't you? You
already you already peaked ahead, didn't you?
Speaker 8 (31:44):
By the way, did uh you saw you saw our results,
our latest results?
Speaker 7 (31:50):
What we did that on Monday though, didn't we?
Speaker 6 (31:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (31:53):
Yeah, no, no, no, no, we'll talk about that.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
But what I'm saying is I I usually go fill
in like what I like ahead of time, and Jonas
is obviously already peaked ahead at what I did.
Speaker 6 (32:05):
I really have it.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
I was more more curious as to why Penn State
plus fourteen and a half didn't get me love for tomorrow.
Speaker 6 (32:12):
I'm just trying to figure that one out.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
I mean that, okay, So all in all honesty, that
line looked fishy to me because the way Indiana's been playing,
the way they played last week, in particular on the road,
it should have been a little higher. I would have
had them at seventeen and a half, eighteen and a
half somewhere in that vicinity. So it actually led me
to think, all right, maybe you take I mean that.
Speaker 5 (32:33):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
I don't like touching any Indiana game because, like the
over Under. They could just blow up on a team
and drop fifty on you. But they also could play
a low scoring game like Iowa, where they had to,
you know, literally kind of you know, take a safety
at the end of the game just to kind of
keep that thing, you.
Speaker 5 (32:52):
Know, in their in their grips.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
So it's it's tough. Like they're a tough team to
predict outside of at home. I feel pretty good about
their ability to cover. Some of these spreads are huge.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Brady, If your son made his debut, one of your
sons made their debut in South Bend for Notre Dame,
would you not get a little emotional. Imagine seeing that
for the for the first time, Levart, your son's gonna
make his debut a Beaver Stadium tomorrow. You're not you
(33:22):
won't get a little bit emotional. I'd be a mess.
Speaker 8 (33:26):
I have yet to see him like I mean, he's
running down on kickoffs, I have I have had yet
to see him go on the field and play that.
Speaker 7 (33:35):
That is cool, that is true.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
What percentage of people walking the face of the earth
can say I ran down on kickoff for a Division
I program?
Speaker 6 (33:44):
The same one, the.
Speaker 7 (33:45):
Same and the same number you know, yeah.
Speaker 8 (33:48):
I mean, yeah, I thought I would get emotional when
I saw them the first time.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
I would be a sobbing little bitch. I swear to
I would. I would melt down.
Speaker 7 (34:00):
That's just all the way.
Speaker 6 (34:02):
That's so cool, man, so cool.
Speaker 7 (34:04):
It is pretty cool. I ain't gonna lie to you.
It is pretty cool.
Speaker 8 (34:07):
But I don't know, Like I said, I in moments
where I feel like I'm going to get emotional, like
what's crazy is And this might sound weird, but I
saw one of the kids I mentored, I hadn't talked
to him in a while. I hadn't seen him in
a while, and and well Shane Shane Simmons, Shane Simmons,
and he came.
Speaker 7 (34:28):
Shane, Yeah, Shane Shane. Uh, he came to the game.
And when I saw him, like.
Speaker 8 (34:36):
I cried, like I got I got emotional, like not
like weeped or anything, but just got emotional.
Speaker 7 (34:42):
See, you know, I got terry out. I did. I
got emotions because.
Speaker 8 (34:46):
We went through a lot, and I know he's gone
through a lot, and he's accomplished and now he just passed,
uh past this test and got you know, certified to
be a fireman.
Speaker 7 (34:56):
He's a fireman in DC.
Speaker 8 (34:57):
Now, So yeah, I mean I've had I had some
really really great stories. I feel like I feel like
I don't know, like I feel like sports doesn't hit
me that way. I feel like life hits me that way.
Like one of my kids got married that I mentored, right,
he became.
Speaker 7 (35:12):
A marine, So he's a marine, a former marine.
Speaker 8 (35:15):
He's kind of like he's at the end now where
he can like start doing other stuff, transition into doing
other things. But when I was at his wedding, I
got tearyott you know, like like I like seeing the
people you become because of our journey during the time
that you're involved with sports. Like I think something that
my kids accomplished outside of the game of that they play,
(35:38):
whether it's the volleyball, whether it's cheering, whether it's football,
I think those are the things that get me like emotionally,
like you know, charged up. But like seeing that it's
almost like in the moment, it's like I can't fall
apart and cry because it's like it's time to whoop
some ass, you know what I mean. It's like it's
(35:59):
go time, like like let's get it, like let's get
after it. Like I see you like step, be a
big stepper. Don't be a little stepper, Be a big stepper.
Speaker 7 (36:08):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (36:09):
I don't know the first time I see my son
in a mariachi band, like.
Speaker 6 (36:13):
You're going waterfalls?
Speaker 7 (36:16):
Stupid? What wasn't you? You are so stupid?
Speaker 3 (36:23):
Wasn't Bobby Bouchet kind of crying when he would go
and like light someone up?
Speaker 2 (36:27):
And he was who is that character based? And who
is that character based off of?
Speaker 7 (36:34):
Yeah? Your boy?
Speaker 6 (36:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (36:36):
But wasn't he kind of crying maybe a fit of
rage with some tears rolling down.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
You're gonna get another man looking at him saying, damn,
miss that guy.
Speaker 7 (36:45):
Yeah, you know you're right now, Well that's a right water.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox week days at six am Eastern, three am Pacific.
Five lines, not those kind of lines, Five picks, five spreads.
(37:13):
Time for picks against the spread?
Speaker 2 (37:15):
All right, Ryan bersching Er, First of all, where do
we stand on the year going into what a bird?
Speaker 4 (37:21):
What? Yeh?
Speaker 7 (37:32):
Brady?
Speaker 15 (37:32):
It's so far leading the way. He's thirty seven and
seventeen on the year. That's a six eighty five win percentage.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Whens, Whens, He's a raider.
Speaker 6 (37:42):
Areas gonna hit the rest time?
Speaker 15 (37:45):
Maybe LaVar you're also doing well thirty four and twenty six.
Speaker 12 (37:50):
That's a five sixty seven win percentage.
Speaker 7 (37:52):
There you go, I'm gonna catch it. Where about it.
Speaker 12 (37:54):
I'm gonna catch as.
Speaker 6 (37:56):
You got that right, sports veteran.
Speaker 15 (37:58):
Yeah, Jonas is clean five hundred, twenty four and twenty
four suck so lock.
Speaker 8 (38:06):
So what we're saying is is Q is on a
Kentucky Derby type of horse. I'm on a pooling horse,
you know, like one of them Homish horses.
Speaker 7 (38:16):
At that plow the fields.
Speaker 8 (38:18):
And Jonas is on a tricycle no grip, one that's used.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
To I'm on one of those ones out in front
of camar You remember the ones out in front of kmart.
Speaker 6 (38:26):
You put a quarter in right around in.
Speaker 8 (38:28):
There, you go, I go, yeah, yeah, you guys be moving,
but it ain't going nowhere.
Speaker 7 (38:35):
They be moving but it ain't going nowhere.
Speaker 9 (38:38):
You know.
Speaker 8 (38:38):
I used to really get excited to get on them
little horses. A great quarter quarter yeah, man, I'd be.
Speaker 7 (38:43):
Like I did one more quarter mom.
Speaker 6 (38:46):
She knew it was coming to it and.
Speaker 8 (38:47):
Soon you wreak it now, yeah, yeah, hold on now, Lorena,
don't don't get carried away, Lorena. All right, I mean
I fight back, you know, all right? Go ahead, go ahead, Burke,
go ahead.
Speaker 7 (38:59):
What we got?
Speaker 12 (38:59):
I mean, are you coming off of a six and
one week last week?
Speaker 7 (39:02):
You got that right?
Speaker 15 (39:02):
Brady five and two, Jonas four and two, A strong
showing overall. You guys all hit your money lines. It's
a good week for everyone.
Speaker 6 (39:09):
I hope next year.
Speaker 8 (39:11):
We rid our hope that year we do away with money,
money line, crack, money line and stuff.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
I'm Jonas Knox. I can't do money lines.
Speaker 6 (39:19):
No, I.
Speaker 7 (39:22):
I think that's going to be ten dollars, ten dollars.
I think that's going to be ten dollars.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Jonas Knox does not do money lines. The Jonas Knox
refuses to. And that's why, Knox, you just do that?
Speaker 7 (39:35):
Is that third person? Was that third person?
Speaker 3 (39:38):
That's a fine, that's okay, thank you, thank you, and
you better pay it. He's he's he's been kind of
towing the line a little too close to it.
Speaker 8 (39:48):
So let me tell you what's a bunch of judge
has spoken, we get the gabble, so we get the gabble.
Speaker 6 (39:54):
So spoken smoking, they'll be bipe down.
Speaker 7 (40:00):
You're guilty, knocks talk, You're honored, you're guilty.
Speaker 6 (40:06):
No, behind the scenes, don't want to hear it.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Yes, Brady announced himself via our text chain that he
is the judge, jury and executioner match like Roger Goodell.
Speaker 6 (40:20):
This is so unfair.
Speaker 5 (40:21):
There will be no appeal. Burst, please proceed.
Speaker 12 (40:25):
Oh yes, okay, let's race just started off.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Patriots said Buccaneers.
Speaker 15 (40:30):
The Bucks are favored here minus two and a half
at home. Jonas, Uh, we will start with you.
Speaker 6 (40:36):
Oh give me Tampa Bay off a bye week.
Speaker 5 (40:39):
Oh yeah, New England knocks locks.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
New England got a little bit exposed last week by
the Atlanta Falcons. You know, if not for a missed
pat maybe we're having a whole different conversation. I think
Todd Bowles is going to have those guys ready, and
I think Tampa Bay minus the two and a half
is the right side here.
Speaker 12 (41:00):
How you feeling.
Speaker 5 (41:02):
Give me New England money line, that's right.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Bucks off the by maybe getting a little bit healthier,
but they are pretty banged up, so we'll see who's
actually healthy.
Speaker 12 (41:13):
That was really good.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
Once the time the game comes around, give me the
Pats going down to Tampa and getting to win.
Speaker 4 (41:24):
Whins wins.
Speaker 7 (41:29):
I'm gonna I'm gonna take.
Speaker 8 (41:34):
I'm gonna take the bucks to cover on this one
only because I feel like this is a safer, safer,
safer go at it. I feel like you you're jumping
out there with the money line on this one. So
either you're gonna you're gonna take a larger lead on
me with this one, or I'm gonna this is one where.
Speaker 7 (41:53):
I chipped the wood right a little closer. Yeah, I'm
gonna go with Tampa to cover sticks picks, and I
feel confident about that pick. By the way. Good Yeah.
Speaker 15 (42:05):
Sure, here's the next one, Jaguars said Texans. The Jaguars
favored on the road here minus one and a half.
Speaker 6 (42:13):
Brady Brady kick.
Speaker 7 (42:14):
This one off.
Speaker 5 (42:15):
Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and take the Texans money line.
Speaker 8 (42:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (42:20):
Look, Davis Mill stepping in for CJ. Stroud.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
He was fine last week, but I just there's something
about that defensive front for Houston versus the Jags.
Speaker 5 (42:29):
I'm not sure they're be able to protect Trevor Lawrence
very well.
Speaker 3 (42:33):
So I'll go ahead and take Texans money line here,
twins wins.
Speaker 7 (42:40):
I'll jump on it. I'll jump on it. I don't
like I don't like Stroud being out of the game.
Speaker 8 (42:48):
I think this team has continued to struggle even with
Stroud in the game. I think that this Jaguars team
is much like this fall weather that I'm sitting here
and stay college. Sometimes it's nice, sometimes it's not. Dude,
it's a little it's a little inconsistent. But without CJ.
Stroud in the game, I think that they're vulnerable. I
(43:10):
am going to take the Jags in this one.
Speaker 6 (43:13):
To cover sticks picks.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
Davis Mills has got a neck like a light pole
and for some reason, is a backup quarterback. They're only
a point and a half underdog at home.
Speaker 6 (43:27):
Give me the Texans on the money line.
Speaker 5 (43:36):
No choice, he's done money line in the past.
Speaker 12 (43:39):
I got no choice.
Speaker 6 (43:40):
I gotta try and catch up. Got no choice.
Speaker 13 (43:43):
You know what they say, the turtle in the hair.
Speaker 6 (43:45):
You just got to keep on your pace, right, they're
gonna get you.
Speaker 7 (43:48):
That's that's that's a fictional story. Oh that's fictional. Store.
Go ahead, let's keep going all right here, that hair
going to be long gone.
Speaker 15 (43:58):
Go ahead, let's get it, and said forty nine the
Rams are favored here minus four and a half in
San Francisco.
Speaker 12 (44:06):
LaVar start this one off.
Speaker 7 (44:10):
You said, what's the number minus four and a half
for the Rams.
Speaker 8 (44:14):
Ooh, minus four and a half. I'm gonna take. I'm
gonna take the points on that one. Yeah, they won't
win by more than that, so I'm gonna take the Niners.
Speaker 12 (44:25):
Sticks picks, all right, Jonas.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
The forty nine Ers clowned the Rams the last time
they met up. That was the mac Jones saw the
dead body at the hotel the day of the game,
and then on Thursday night he went into Rigor Mortis
because he was dealing with all those body Crams and
it was like, oh my god, what Sean McVeigh doing
and what was that play call? This feels like a
revenge spot for the Rams. I'll take La minus four
(44:54):
and a half knocks locks.
Speaker 3 (44:59):
I'm torn here because I'm i want San Francisco, but
i can't tell if i want the money line or
if I'm just gonna take the four and a half points.
I'm a little concerned about what Jona's just mentioned. I
mean dude, Matthew Stafford's playing at at super high level
right now. We don't know if Pretty will be back
or not. I'm assuming it's Mac Jones. Either way, I'm
(45:20):
not really sure it changes the line of ton here.
I'm gonna take San Francisco in the points though, so
these games are always close, and Shanahan usually has something
for Sean McVay. So I'll take the four and a
half points in San fran.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
Whens Whens back to back to back is crazy.
Speaker 8 (45:43):
I know.
Speaker 5 (45:44):
I love like the laugh too. That's in there.
Speaker 12 (45:47):
Next up here said Chargers.
Speaker 15 (45:51):
The Chargers are favorite at home here minus three on
Sunday Night money Line.
Speaker 6 (45:58):
Okay, you got that right?
Speaker 12 (46:02):
Yeah, I see you sticks okay, Jonas.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
Oh Man, Yeah, that's right, Jonas, that's right, Johnson, what
are you gonna do?
Speaker 6 (46:14):
You know what we already?
Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (46:16):
This is the Sunday Night game, right you know?
Speaker 7 (46:20):
Jonas? What are you going to do?
Speaker 2 (46:21):
This pack?
Speaker 6 (46:22):
This past week? On the Challenge on k n b
C with your hand in your pocket? What the challenge Challenge.
Speaker 7 (46:30):
Story? Brady Quinn with his hand in his pocket.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
I did pick the Steelers to win the game, did
I say?
Speaker 7 (46:37):
Brady? Quinn.
Speaker 5 (46:39):
That's fine.
Speaker 6 (46:42):
I did, I did.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
I did pick the Steelers and they don't do point
spreads on that show.
Speaker 5 (46:47):
Oh, come on, get to it.
Speaker 6 (46:48):
Let's go Pittsburgh on the money line. Did you put
that in?
Speaker 5 (46:53):
You and I t y Oh, Pittsburgh money line? Baby,
let's go. Let's go when Chargers are banged.
Speaker 14 (47:05):
Up Latifa Yeah, a little unity unity, Yeah, all right,
come on, Wins, Wins, come on, Bursas lap is the best,
(47:26):
said Packers.
Speaker 15 (47:26):
That's right, Monday night. Packers are favored here minus two
and a half. Jonas, you kick this one off.
Speaker 7 (47:37):
You know what you want to do. Come on, you
know exactly what you want to do.
Speaker 8 (47:41):
Do it.
Speaker 6 (47:42):
I find it hard to believe Green.
Speaker 7 (47:43):
Bay do it that bad, Jonas.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
I'm going to take the Packers minus two and a half.
Speaker 7 (47:48):
And knocks lock. That was a horrible pick.
Speaker 5 (47:55):
Oh you know I'm going with Philly money line.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
Twins, Whens.
Speaker 7 (48:03):
I gotta jump on the back of that horse with
my boy Q money line.
Speaker 5 (48:10):
It sticks picks. Yeah, it's gonna be a big week. Boys.
Speaker 7 (48:15):
You knew what to do.
Speaker 8 (48:17):
You knew what to do, Jonas, and in those moments
you go in the opposite direction.
Speaker 7 (48:21):
You mean to tell me that's weird.
Speaker 2 (48:23):
You mean to tell me Green Bay is going to
lay another egg at home like they did against Carolina
two weeks in.
Speaker 7 (48:28):
A row against Philly.
Speaker 6 (48:33):
Come on, man, I know I've I'm proud of it,
but it's not.
Speaker 8 (48:38):
You shouldn't be proud of that pick. You should not
be okay. You know, hey, do what makes you feel good?
Speaker 1 (48:45):
I like it?
Speaker 9 (48:45):
You and I?
Speaker 6 (48:46):
WHOA, Why I haven't heard that in so long?
Speaker 7 (48:49):
You and I.
Speaker 8 (48:50):
Yeah, it's a great pool, very nice pool. Queen Latifa's
dope shouts out to the Queen Latifa.
Speaker 7 (48:57):
What a Queen Latifas Latif is a dude.
Speaker 5 (49:02):
I call her Latif he plays quarterback for Nebraska.
Speaker 7 (49:05):
Yeah no, I don't think so, my guy. You call her,
you call her Queen Latifa.
Speaker 6 (49:11):
Oh you swept me varr No.
Speaker 7 (49:13):
No, you don't call her what you want. You're not
allowed to. I protect her
