Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
Brady Quinn Jonas knocks with you here. Coming up on
this Monday edition, we're gonna take a look around the
National Football League. It was a wild one. It was
what the hell was that night in Denver as we
try to figure out what the Broncos and forty Niners
were trying to accomplish. We're also going to talk about
Brady's up close and personal view of the hip thrust

(00:21):
heard round the NFL. We've also got some controversy because
this show was featured on Big Neon Kickoff, well kind of.
We'll explain that as well too. We're gonna get into
the problems for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Was it really
an altercation between Kansas City's offensive coordinator and their starting quarterback. Plus,
we're gonna talk about a bad weekend for the a

(00:43):
f C West. We got the fs R I R,
We've got the prop at Monster. It's all yours coming

tire buying should be. Tell's happening, Brady Quinn, Hey man,
I'm just trying to get through all of what took
place in week three of the NFL's Yeah, crazy crap.

(01:52):
What's happening? I mean, I'm not sure if you sold
the game. I got the call between the Vikings and Lions.
Oh yeah, we had an unsport. It's been like conduct
penalty called honor player for one too many hip thrusts.
The rule is you can't do more than two, and
clearly Jamal Williams got two three and those flags came
out flying everywhere. Yeah it is. Uh. I have several

(02:14):
questions for you in regards to that game, very very
important questions. The job. I was doing everything. I couldn't
hold back from saying what I wanted to say in
that moment. And uh, yeah, I thought we kept a
PC for the most part, but uh, not safe for work,
not safe for the children at home watching Jamal Williams
after a nice touchdown run. Uh. I mean, I don't

(02:36):
know what can we just get Let's just call what
it is. He got the air pregnant. That's what he
did that. Yeah he was. He was lenten and fly
and uh and good for him. I mean, if that's it,
that's that's what he wants to do to celebrate a touchdown.
Good for him fifteen yards and now the air is pregnant.
I don't I was trying to convince our producer to
bring on Mike Pereyra for it because I wanted to

(02:57):
hear Mike Pereira. I have to get on air and
actually describe why he was flagged for it, because if
you recall, one of the offensive lineman came in at
the end and he actually was like choreograph this thing
where he was like zapping towards the midsection. And at
that point I thought, Okay, is it because of the

(03:17):
sexual nature of the gesture or is it more because
the alignment it's choreographed? Like now you've got two people
were involved in this this sexual act, if you will. Yeah,
it was very uncomfortable for everybody involved. But we do have,
you know, several other questions and the and and this
is the important stuff we need to get to in
that game that we want to get with you on

(03:38):
coming up here shortly now. I do want to just
take you back. I remember back in the day, when
I remember back in the Okay when like when the
Broncos and the Niners played each other. Yeah, you know,
when the Broncos and the Niners played each other, it
was always like it felt like it was always a
massive game. It was either a Super Bowl or it
was a big prime time game. Montana shot l just

(04:00):
like yes, yes, And so you think all those all
those great players from back in the day, those great matchups,
and then we fast forward to two thousand twenty two
and we get for the second time in the history
of the NFL and eleven to ten final on Sunday night.
The hell was that that we watched last night in Denver,

(04:22):
christ That would start by saying this, for all of
those out there that want to buy into the Dan
Orlowski is off the hook because Jimmy Garoppolo stepped out
of bounds and took a safety his heel barely hit. Okay,
Dania or Vloski ran four yards out of bounds like
he was scared at recess as in third grade. And

(04:43):
he kept and he kept running like he had no
awareness whatsoever. The fact that he was closer to the
fans in Detroit than he actually was any player on
the field when he got his safety. He's off the hook.
That that will forever be what Dana Orloski is best
known for is running like he was scared a recess
out of the end zone from a defender. So let's

(05:05):
just start off with that. The next thing is, yeah, look,
it was. It was. It didn't look good. I mean,
I give a lot of credit to the Broncos defense
for the way they stepped up UM obviously didn't help either.
San Francisco has banged up. You know, Trent Williams end
up going out in that game. Yeah, I think lad
went by his own player, um, But there was just
kind of injuries both ways. It felt like San Francisco

(05:27):
could never really get into a rhythm. I thought they'd
moved the ball better than Denver did for the majority
of the game. But look, I mean give Russell Wilson
Denver credit. I thought they looked awful up until that
very um the fourth quarter drive for the touchdown that
helped him go ahead. That was what I thought this
offense was gonna look like the entire season. But Nathaniel

(05:49):
Hackett looks like he's over matched, looks like he's he's
in over his head. Bringing with Jerry Rossberg because that
is that. Yeah, that's the game day operations guy correct
from there. Yeah, I've never seen a coach be more
open about the fact that he's yeah, I can't handle this,
I've got to bring someone else in. Okay, didn't you
think that when you hire your staff that should have

(06:11):
been something you thought about. I mean, it's like everything
is reactive instead of proactive in Denver. It's it's just
it's really odd, and the more you talk to people
around the league about it, the more you hear it's
not good, like even during the course of the week
in their preparation. So, uh, look, if that if that's
the offense and that drive that you saw for the

(06:32):
go ahead touchdown by Denver in the fourth quarter, if
you see that from then the rest of the year,
I think this team is gonna be closer to what
I thought they were going to be. But for whatever reason,
Russell Wilson has been reluctant to want to run and
make plays with his legs um the passing game in
the offense hasn't been able to click consistently. I think
the only good thing you can hang your hat on
the fact that they can't run the football from time

(06:52):
and time and then then now the defense is coming around.
So uh, that's that's to me is the biggest takeaways.
But I guess you say a good win, you take it,
And if this is where they're starting off, I guess
they feel like they've got a lot of room to grow.
That could be a good thing for Russell Wilson and
the Broncos. Um, so let's hear from the head coach
of the Denver Broncos. This is the guy who's actually

(07:13):
got more time now to address the media because he
has so much help, you know, on his staff, with
people running the game day operations. Here was Nathaniel Hackett afterwards.
Through three games, now you're averaging one touchdown and game.
How much is that a concern for you? I mean,
it's something that we got to correct. We obviously want
to score a lot more points, and it didn't happen today.
We knew it was going to be a slug fest

(07:34):
versus this team. When we needed to get it, we
got it, and we're going to continually develop and get
better as an offense. In your time in the league,
have you seen teams be able to capitalize on a
win like this and kind of use it to push
them forward, search them forward, and kind of get rolling
after such an emotional win. Yeah, of course I think that.
You know, as a coach, you always want to be
able to coach harder when you win, because there's still
so many things that we need to correct offensively, there's

(07:56):
probably some things even on defense, even though it was
a great game. Um, there's all is gonna be things
that we can correct, and we all want to grow
as a team. You know, we want to be better
on special team's, offense, defense. And when you win, you
have that ability to coach even harder and for us,
you know, to build off of it. I mean, heck,
we had a good win last week, we had another
one this week, and you know, however, we have to win.
We're gonna do everything we can, and we just want

(08:17):
to be sure we all stick together. So for what
it's worth, I mean, you know, for who's counting the
tied for the for the lead in the a f
C West. I mean, listen, there's there. They are two
and one. It could be a lot worse. Uh you know,
you could be one and two and have all these
procedural issues and all this stuff play out. And it's
funny that you mentioned the thing about everything seems to

(08:39):
be reactive and not proactive. Have you ever been with
somebody who doesn't travel a lot? I mean, they just
don't think things through, all right, They just don't. Do
you want me to? Yes? Okay, I see and I
didn't want to see and I hear you. Okay, there,

(09:00):
look I make mistakes too. I'm not saying I'm perfect here,
Like I didn't have enough shirts. We talked about that.
Dam In the last week I was like scrounging up
shirts from like like anywhere in the hotel. I'd find
where someone just left a shirt somewhere after a long
night out. I was wearing that to work out in
this past weekend. So I'm not I'm not letting myself
off the hook. I'm just saying, yeah, she doesn't like

(09:21):
to be as proactive in preparation for a flight. It's like,
you know, um, hey, where's the the suntan lotion? What
do you mean? I thought you brought it? Wait? What
what I was? I was carrying your don't have to
worry about that? Well yeah, yeah, I mean come on,
that's that's a personal problem. Yeah, that's a built in.
But it's like simple things like I remember talking to

(09:41):
a buddy of mine and he didn't realize we were
going we were traveling internationally. He didn't realize, like, oh,
I need a passport. It's like, yeah, man, what do
you what do you think we're doing? We're going to
We're going to Mexico. You can't just can't just roll
up there with a twenty dollar bill and your idea
on the back of it and just say, hey, ready
to go, Like it doesn't work that way. It just
it Fee was like, yeah, he doesn't. Nathaniel Hackett like

(10:03):
didn't think this whole thing all the way through when
it comes to what it either, what it takes to
be a coach, certain things that come along with being
a coach. Wouldn't you have advisors, would you have people
his dad was a coach in the league for a
long time. Wouldn't some of this stuff have come up
in topic of conversation at some point during the entire
process to be the head coach there. I just think

(10:25):
such surprising as a few things that stick out about
it that like, but even in the interview process and
a lot of owners and you have to remember this
ownership group was going through a transition and he was
hired before the Walten family took over with this newer
ownership group, and from what I've heard, this ownership group

(10:47):
is going to be more involved. Uh. And then that
l was in part due to Pat Bowen's health, and
then it was going through kind of the struggle to
see who was going to actually get ownership of the team.
No one got ownership of the team, that know that
of Pat boll and children, so they end up selling
the team, right. So the question then became this whole
hiring process, you know what questions were really being asked

(11:08):
to those candidates, because that's something that on the way
in they should have been able to have this sort
of thing checked off. And this you heard during the
course of the week that George, George Patton, and Nathaniel
Hackett worked together to identify Jerry Rossberg as the guy
they wanted to bring in. Okay, that's great, but we're
heading into week three of the NFL season, Like this

(11:31):
is these are things that you should have had either
already in your staff going in as an interview, Like
for the coaches I know that are now head coaches,
they have everything for these interviews. They have an entire playbook.
They have an entire book of here's the things I
look to do, here's the staff I look to hire,
here everything, So you're prepared for all those questions. So
it's not like it's just on Nathaniel Hackett. It's also

(11:53):
on the ownership because you know they weren't asking the
right questions or making sure he was prepared on the
way in it. This kind of reminds me of the
stories you hear from when you've got like a family
run business that has a ton of success. Do you
ever ever ever heard how that usually goes, Like the
first generation builds it, the second generation then kind of

(12:16):
maintains it to a degree in the third generation ends
up ruining. Like this is almost like you know, you
said it, Paul having a coach in the league for
a long time, and then you know his son, Nathaniel Hacking.
Now he's learned a lot of things. He's got a
good reputation in the league. But maybe there's some things
that just don't come as naturally as they do to
some of the other guys who had to pave their

(12:37):
path who didn't have a dad who was in the
coaching industry, or didn't have the same ability to be,
you know, as as in the know on certain things.
And so I'm not saying he's gonna crash and burn
this thing, but it seems like for some reason some
of the stuff is like catching him by a surprise
and that he hasn't had to kind of learn and
figure it out his own way. A lot of stuff
has maybe been handed to him or done for him.

(12:59):
And that's what this feels like. It feels like one
of those family run businesses that you've got the second generation.
You're like, this guy's take it over. Like yeah, employees
are like this guy, this guy's taken over the company.
Are you sure he's ready to do this? You sure
he's ready for it? Doesn't look like it. I literally
can think of a restaurant right now. I don't want
to say it. I don't know anybody. I'll just okay, okay,

(13:21):
what is it rhyme with? Because I'm gonna start doing
the things that you do to me when I don't
have a chance to actually say the person or the
team or the name or it's a very plain name
and Donald's and it rhymes with Zach. Okay, right is it? Jack? So?
Anyways about this restaurant? Uh this, I know it was
a successful restaurant that had been run successfully for years

(13:45):
and years and years, and then all of a sudden
the owner passed away and either the son or the
grandson took it over and within a couple of months
he gone. It was like you you could not have
have run down and and kill you now. Definitely not
Jack in a box now. Those are still are still
up and run. In fact, right now, shout out to

(14:07):
everybody who's hammered in a Jack in a Box line
right now listening on the I Heart Radio app. We
appreciate you, all of you across the country. That is
a go to for many people on the West coast.
But point taken, it just it hasn't played out well.
It's played out nationally on in prime time two out
of the three weeks. It just feels like we are

(14:27):
we are watching something that's on the verge of a meltdown.
But again still two and one. Uh, maybe there's some
stuff there you look at and go all right, we
can build on this. Maybe there's some building blocks, and
maybe the Denver Broncos are gonna are gonna be a
threat in the a f C West when it's all
said and done down the stretch. Would you bet on
them right now to make the playoffs? I'm okay here,

(14:48):
thank you though. Now, would you Las Vegas raids out
with item? Probably the Raiders? I just I don't know,
I I I want to see. I'm not optimistic obviously,
either team we're gonna make the playoffs. I think the
a f C West, and we're gonna get into that
later on. Maybe we might have, you know, misread the

(15:11):
a f C West in the effectiveness of them against
the rest of the league. But it's not not a
good week at all, um, And so yeah, I I
just look at it and I go Denver. It just
feels off, something doesn't seem right, and I keep looking
at the Nathaniel Hackett era and wondering whether or not
this is gonna be a one and done with him
the head coach. The last thing I'll ask you this

(15:31):
because this this hit my brand as I was traveling
late last night getting back home. You've got the Raiders
who are owing three and I'm like, man, that's crazy.
Josh McDaniels is now owen six since dating back to
his last head coaching gig, which which was with the
Denver Broncos, so he's actually not an even longer losing

(15:52):
streak as a head coach. If you're the Broncos right now,
would you take Josh McDaniels reboot two point oh? Is
your head coach or stick of the thing, Because the
one thing I can tell you is this, Josh McDaniels
does not have the issues at least as far is
what we've seen with Nathaniel Hackett that the Broncos have
had with clock management, time management, situational awareness, those things. Yeah,

(16:13):
and also the Raiders have had it, I think a
much more difficult schedule to start here. So there's there
is all those things pointing towards a little bit of
optimism for the Las Vegas Raiders. It is two pros

always on the I Heart Radio app coming up in
about twenty minutes from now in another edition of In
case you missed it, we got nerds, geeks, torps, pip squeaks,
dorks trying to take over the NFL. We will not
stand for it and they will be exposed coming up

(17:41):
in about twenty minutes from now here on Are in
particular your point out? Oh yeah, yeah, I got a problem,
a couple of nerds. Got a big problem with a
couple of geeks trying to infiltrate their their nerdy ways
into the NFL. H Now, let me just say this
for those of you listening on our our affiliate Minneapolis

(18:02):
ky Fan, the Yallowhorn of the Twin Cities, they got
a nice healthy dose of Brady Quinn calling the Vikings
Lions game yesterday, nice healthy dose. I have a question
for you. How the hell did the Detroit Lions lose
that game? I thought it was over. Minnesota looked awful,

(18:26):
and then all of a sudden, I look and I go, wait,
this is actually gonna happen, and in Detroit. Detroit's gonna
Detroit and they're gonna lose this game, and Kirk Cousins
is gonna get hot down the stretch and away we go.
And there we were, and you were right there on
center stage watching all of it take place. How the
hell did that happen? Well, it's it's tough to put
into words. As I was like thinking a back back

(18:48):
over it watching it. I think the overriding theme for
me was just the Vikings have a more talented roster,
and you felt like if the game was close eventually
they would have the guys to make the play to
break things open. Uh. Injuries played a bit of a
part of it. Uh too, if you if you kind
of look through the game, how that impact that? I
think both Detroit and Minnesota for that matter, but probably

(19:11):
more so Detroit. Aman Ross st Brown, their wide receiver.
He had an ankle injury that was naggy him the
whole game, I think after like the second quarter, and
he just didn't look the same out there. He was
up for a record. Had he caught eight passes in
that game, he'd be the first player in NFL history
to go nine straight games catching eight passes or more.

(19:31):
It dates back to last year, but he was up
next to Antonio Brown and Michael Thomas was the only
other two players in NFL history to ever have done it.
And I think he finished with six. So it a
little disappointing there. Deandrew has been dealing with an ankle injury,
so he wasn't you know, full go. Although all that
being said, right, the Lions jumped out to a fourteen
nothing lead in the first half. They were at one

(19:53):
point a second half up twenty four to fourteen. I
mean two separate ten point leads. The Vikings were able
to come back halfway through the fourth quarter. They were ye, well,
and I remember M Brennan got in our play by play.
He asked me, he said, hey, do you like them
punting it here instead of the Vikings going for us?
Like it's too early? Like no way, you you go

(20:14):
for a fourth down, you don't get it. You're giving
the Lions an opportunity for at least a field goal,
if not more points, and sure enough, they ended up
getting the ball back because they the Lions were backed up.
The Vikings got the ball back, better field position. Boom,
boom boom, they get a touchdown. They closed the gap there,
and then at the end of the game it didn't
seem like there was much of a chance for Kirk
Cousins them to come back. But because of Justin Jefferson,

(20:38):
Aaron Glenn devoted two guys to him that entire final series.
He also was trying to take away Adam Feeling. kJ
Osborne ended up being one on one and Mike Hughes
gave up. You know, really, between the last two plays,
Vikings hadn't had over a twenty yard played the entire game,
and they had a twenty nine yard game to set
up the final score, which I think was a thirty

(20:58):
some yard touchdown whenever it was. Yeah, um, it's just
it's crazy, but that's the NFL, Like these games are
one and lost on a handful of plays every week. Yeah,
it was a twenty eight yard touchdown Cousins to k
j Osborne and then you know, obviously GoF through the
pick to end the game. But twenty what three seconds
and he's he's at midfield. They need a touchdown at

(21:20):
that point, um, and you're looking at it going there's
not many options and he was avoiding avoiding pressure. He's
just thrown it up. So, uh, tough position of being
if you're Jared Goff. I thought that Jared Goff played
really well. I really did it despite not having a
lot of the guys you think he would have. And
I know in the box score there's a lot of
box score readers bill with through interception. It's like, dude,

(21:41):
you throw at the end of the game, It's like
a Hall Mary desperation shot with twenty three seconds left. UM.
So obviously we you know Minnesota, it's that they're the
second best team in that division. It seems like it's
been that way for several years. When it comes to
the Vikings in talking to the Lions and Dan Campbell
and are they in the right direction because they do

(22:02):
seem like they're vastly improved. And we're gonna get into Jacksonville,
who is really interesting all of a sudden coming up
next hour on the show. But when you talk about Detroit.
It does feel like there's been a change there. And
Jared Goff, a lot of people like to poke fun
at the guy. I mean, I know you were most
famously quoted as saying, yea, even though we actually sat

(22:23):
on the broadcast. It's it's Jerry was quoted, but yeah,
Dad's okay. I want you to be honest. When you
guys were talking about his dad's real name, did you
think about the time that I went on the air
and said the best part about Jared Goff is that
his name's not Jack. Did you think about that at
the time. Well, I've also heard you when you went
on live air and you said before that Jared Goff's

(22:44):
dad's name is Jack. Yeah. I mean, there's there's a
couple of different ways you can manipulate the joke. But well,
we had asked Jared in our pre game meetings about
his dad because we knew his father, Jerry, had played
in Major League Baseball. He was a catcher, and I
almost was like, oh, I thought his name was Jack,
just to see what Jared's reaction would have been. By
the way, Jared Goff is one of the coolest guys

(23:06):
you'll meet. He really is a cool cat. I don't
know what the perception is out there about him. He's
one of the coolest guys um that that's out there
at quarterback as far as just kind of unflappable, just
the nice guy. Has been through a lot of crap
and people have kind of crapt on, but has a
good perspective about things. Um. He If we were in person,

(23:26):
I probably would have said it, but I had to
do it to be assumed because of my college football duties.
But trust me, that thought enter my mind about four
different times. Um, here's the thing. I will always defend
Jared Goff based on how his time in l A
came to an end and just the narrative around him
and Matt Stafford. If we're gonna be honest, who's had

(23:46):
a better season thus far? Jared Goffer Matt Stafford And
it's not close. And it's by the way, it dates
back to really the last seasons. If you can look
at how the both quarterbacks finished the regular season, Jared
Goff outplayed Matt Stafford. I mean that's not an opinion,
it's just factual what stats, you know. I know sometimes
on on our show, we feel like our opinions should

(24:07):
just be an overwriting thing without having data information or
stats to back. That's not how it works in the
real world. So yeah, that's but this is an example
of you know, data information stats, watching film. Jerk goff
outplayed Matt Stafford the end of the last year in
the regular season and also so far to start this season. Yeah,
so so take it for what it's worth the Lions

(24:28):
at least and that And how is Dan Campbell? Do
you get Dan Campbell's intensity when you're talking to him?
Was he was? He all doubled up on on Starbucks
when you were talking to him, like all caffeine out.
He's a big, big caffeine guy. When you're talking to
Dan Campbell, big caffey, big metallica guy. Um, you know,
I mean in those meetings, he's he's, you know, a
lot more subdue some dude. I think he look, he

(24:53):
knows he's building something. And it's tough because you could
see it the way the team competes, you can see
it the way the team plays. I mean that was
one of the things that was interesting talking to the
Vikings coaching staff. You talk to other coaches on that
staff and they go man like everyone says the same thing.
They play so hard for them. I wish our players

(25:15):
played the same way for us. You hear other coaches
say that that's the ultimate compliment. I mean, Kevin O'Connell goes.
The thing that I take away that I hope I
can mimic that Dan Campbell's done is that team embodies
him his persona as a head coach, and he goes.
I hope one day people will say that about my team,

(25:36):
about how they looked at me as a coach player,
what what our team looks like with the Minnesota Vikings,
because that's what Detroit Lions are. They're tough, They're gritty.
Those guys all that they I mean, they're fighting through
injuries just to stay out there on the field. It's
it was. It was a lot of fun to prepare
for that game and just talk with them because you
get a sense they're building something. I know that the
record doesn't always reflect it, but a lot of times

(25:58):
we see that, especially earlier in the Sea reason that
they just haven't found out how to win and close
out those close games, especially with a young roster. I
mean Aidan Hudson's battling through a quad injury, he wasn't
as effective and it was rotating out a decent amount yesterday. Um,
John Kaminsky, who has been an impactful d tackle for them,
which you know people on the outside don't know, but

(26:19):
he's what i'd call like a glue guy. You know,
those are the guys that they have a bigger impact,
you know, buying closed doors on your team than people
on the outside ever see. Because the job that they do,
and they do it so well, it helps elevate other
people to be able to have success. Like go back
and watch the three sacks uh for Adan Hudson versus Washington.
Almost two of the three of the sacks came from

(26:39):
someone else getting pressure, John Kaminski picking someone to allow
Hudson to rush free to be getting to get after
Carson Wentz. So, Um, I think they're close, They're just
you know, they got to continue to keep trying to
find a way of closing out games. They're not good enough,
um to not be able to And I know a
lot was made of his fourth down decision to kick
a field goal. I mean, Austin Cyber has to at one,

(27:00):
you know, at some point he's got to hit one
and helped them out and you're saying, in the end,
it wouldn't have matter they give up a touchdown. Sure,
but maybe they also played different defens knowing that they
you know, they can give up a field goal, they
just can't give up a touchdown. Maybe that series looks
a little different for the Vikings too. I can't stand
when people do that. They they reverse engineer the math

(27:21):
on what the score would have been. Yeah, but it
would have been three points. They still would have lost by.
But now that's not how it works. It changes completely
changes that game. If he hits that field goal and
they can extend that lead. I just I don't I
don't buy that at all. But good for the Lions.
Lions up potentially a team to watch. It is two
pros and a cup of Joe here on fs are
by the way, um Brady, I don't know if he

(27:42):
had a chance to see this and know you're obviously traveling,
you're with the big New boys, then you call Vikings
and Lions our buddy. Aaron on Twitter sends this in
I know it's an NFL Monday, but uh, have you
seen anything like how Missouri lost at Offord? I think
I was on the air when that happened, I just laughed, like,

(28:04):
there's for those of you that didn't see it, there
was a twenty six yard field goal with three seconds
left for Missouri to win the game, and they missed it. Yeah,
and they go to overtime, Auburn kicks a field goal,
Missouri gets the ball, so all they need to do
is score touchdown and that's it. Game over. And as

(28:24):
the guys crossing the goal line, he reaches the ball
over and it slips out of his hand and goes
into the end zone and Auburn recovers and they lose
on a touchback. Like literally, if you that's the game.
If you're if you gambled and had Missouri two years
from now, when somebody says, hey, so, how did you

(28:47):
become a meth addict, you would go, oh, it was
that game right there, that's the one, Like, that's what
set me into a downward spiral because I had Missouri
on the money line at like plus two or whatever
was and Missouri ended up losing twice a twenty six
yard field goal and then a fumble at the goal line.
So it's too bad. It's a shame, but hey, at

(29:10):
least it's them and not us, right. You know, well
that's that's one way of looking at it. And we
know someone probably choked on their cigarette in the in
a sports book watching that. Yeah, I saw it, and
I thought that best describes this college football season. I mean,
how many double digit favorites lost outright this week? It
was weird. Miami was one. I mean Texas was. I

(29:32):
think they were favored by about a touchdown on the road. Um,
there's one other big one I'm escaping right now off
the top of my head. But there was a lot
of and it was also there were a lot of
games that it was like like this is kind of yeah,
like this is kind of in this weird in between thing,
uh where you're you know, a team should what I mean,

(29:52):
the Clemson Wake Forest game was was was bananas seeing
how that game played out. But yeah, it's uh that
was it was a fun, fun weekend of college football
action at USC uh. Oregon State was was fun to watch.
I lost the bet there too. You know, Matt and
Reggie kept playing up Corvallis and Oregan State and I said, look,
I know they're a good football team and they will

(30:14):
be able to score on USC's defense. But it actually
ended up being like a defensive battle, lower scoring game.
I thought it was gonna be higher scoring and Organ
State not being able to hang with USC the way
their offense is operated. But it looked like Lincoln Riley
and Kayla Williams kind of rolled out. Uh just you know,
an egg out there. I mean, but give credits at
Organ State. Johnathan spent the job they've done, you know,

(30:37):
making that a lot tougher, a lot closer. I thought
it was gonna be It's two Pros and a Cup
of Joe here on Fox Sports Trading. All right, he's

Sometimes you can't get to everything in the world of
sports or entertainment. Good thing, the guys are here to

(32:48):
bring you. You missed it and for that we turn
it over to our executive producer Lead Do Do Do
Do Lap? What's up Brady? What's up Jonas Fellas? In
case you missed this, not one but two games were
actually stopped due to an unlicensed drone in the area
of the first game being Stanford versus Washington, the second

(33:08):
being the Seahawks versus Falcons. It was later determined that
this drone did belong to the Universe University of Washington
and the owners of the rogue says it went rogue
of the drone said it went rogue. Uh, this is
the problem with nerds man that you got. You gotta
fly a modified paper airplane above the sky of a
football game. Can't you just let people watch football and

(33:31):
have a good time and stop trying to infiltrate your
geeky ways into our game, into our sport, our national pastime.
To disgrace. Get out of here with that man. Drone drones?
What are we doing here? I'm surprised this isn't more
of an issue, Like I I guess, I don't know,
maybe not as many people are are flying them around.

(33:54):
I just I don't know. I feel like this this
should be like more of an issue. There's not more
drones flying around. Maybe they're too expensive or have you
seen have you ever seen a drone up close? Or
maybe you got a lot close. I had a guy,
I had a guy come out and do a home
inspection and he like used to drone and take pictures

(34:16):
of the roof, which I looked at him and go,
this has really like changed your job. He goes, Oh yeah,
he goes, he used to take me, you know one
he's like to have the risk of falling because I
have to climb on the roof and take pictures. He goes,
and to would take a lot more time. It's it's
you know in Florida's hot as hell. He's like, yeah,
it's made my job like a thousand times easier. I
was like, oh, all right, cool. But I mean there's

(34:38):
gotta be a lot of people that I like that
that are now using drones for things, even for like
selling homes taking photos. I just I always think there
would be more of them flying around their heads and
there's they're not see well, maybe they're in disguise. You know,
there's a there's speculation out there. There are some people
that think that some of the UFO sightings we've seen
that are picked up, a lot of people are throwing

(34:59):
that out could be elaborate drones that are being used
that are you know, making people think they're UFOs. Also,
the guy can't climb a ladder and get up to
the roof. Didn't anybody see National Lampoon's Christmas vacation. Chevy
Chase survived. He fell a couple of times. There was
an issue, but he survived. Tell this guy to get
up on the roof and do his job. Stop flying

(35:20):
and think that the drone actually took better photos than
it would like you got a higher advantage point, and
the thing like it can it can stabilize an air
even with wind. It like a just and stay in
one place. It's pretty impressive. I kind of can't away thinking,
I wish I had a drone. You know, what would
you do with it? Who would you spy on? I
would probably fly up the Thousand Oaks. I would just

(35:42):
have it follow you around. So what the hell you
do during the day? That is no idea what you
do outside of the ship. I would have just fly
it over Dublin. Just checking on my friends, my people.
You know a lot of middle fingers, A little chat
out to the Shamrocks, Doublin Kaufman High, my people there.
You know, one calls him the Shamrocks. They should call
him that. What else we got, guys? Rob Gronkowski was

(36:06):
in attendance at the Bucks Packers game, sparking rumors that
he could be making a comeback. Hundred dollars. You go
to a sports book DraftKings sports book to be specific,
you got to lay the money down. Is Rob Gronkowski
coming back this season to play for Tampa Bay? Yes?

(36:26):
Or no? I mean your odds are gonna be best
now making that bet right? Or maybe not? Now that
now that he's already seen. I'm saying yes, Like the
Angel question is right, now, what are they gonna do
a wide receiver? You know, with everyone banged up, what
are they gonna do it? You can't, there's nothing you

(36:46):
can do. I mean they already brought in Cole Beasley
and he don't have an impact to a degree. But
you need other personnel there and you can only rely
on camera breaks so much so, Rob good Kowski is
the next logical guy. Look at trying to bring in
the hell about I mean, Cayle Rudolph has been there,
but he hasn't been a pass threat for him. I mean, listen,
Cole Beasley walks in off the street. Last time we

(37:07):
saw cold Beasley, he was being yelled at my Mike
Florio because he wasn't vaxed. Then he jump jumps into
the game, catches a pass right away. They're down to
the to the to the scraps. Here, Gronkowski's coming back.
He's got They're literally throwing literally to Cameron Braden situations
to win the game. Russell Gauge makes the touchdown catch

(37:27):
to give him a shot at a two point conversion.
I mean, you're these are not the guys they went
in the season thinking they're gonna rely on Jalen Darden
is out there for him. I mean, if you go
through the roster, who's out there? Tom's have you going like?
This is not how I thought this is gonna add. Yeah,
it doesn't look good right now, but who knows, Maybe
there's some hope for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It is
two Pros and a Cup of Joe on Fox Sports
