The way tire buying should be. How the hell we
feel in here on a Friday morning? Huh? Everybody? Everybody excited, everybody,
everybody jacked fired up, ready to rock. You know, I'm
(01:31):
curious as to why the show always say who is Joe? Like?
Why does it do that? Why does the intro do that?
I mean, it's disrespect. Is a disrespect. I mean, it's
just flat out disrespect. I mean, you know, but again,
I mean this is this is the night lighting who
show that That is completely false? Hey, listen, I hang
(01:55):
up with hang out with a couple of celebrities. You know,
I'm like that that pet dog that celebrities carrying their purse,
you know, that little little mini dog, the mini poodle
they carry in their purse. That the uh you know,
the Hilton's made famous back in the day. Yeah, what
do you mean ten dollars? Ten dollars for what? What
do you mean? You're not the little dog that you
(02:18):
don't you never even owned a little dog. I mean
that's true. Yeah, But but but I also know Listen,
I also know walking around with college football Hall of
Famer LaVar Arrington, walking around with Brady Quinn, Mr. TV star, Mr.
Notre Dame Grade, all of that stuff. When I know
(02:40):
that I'm walking around with you guys, I know my place,
and there's something to be said about that. It's a
little bit of humility. Now you're you're not gonna find
that sort of humility, you know, for two hours on
a Saturday on the Jonas Knock Show. That's not gonna happen.
You know, there is that so but but I do
know my place when it comes to some of the
other stuff going on. But hey, everybody's excited here on
a Friday. Huh, it's a damn Friday Friday. Well, I mean,
(03:03):
it's the final Friday of the NFL season, and we
do have although it's very confusing, some quote unquote clarity
on what's going to happen with the final weekend of
the regular season moving into the playoffs. But also as
you look at what day of the week it is,
and as you're staring at the calendar and you're getting
ready for this busy weekend in the NFL, it finally
(03:25):
dawns on you. All Right, it's a football Friday. It's
a damn football Friday's damn football Friday. Fox Sports Radio.
Here on two pros and a cup of Joe. You
bet your sweet acid. And see what I'm talking about there?
I don't understand it. What the hell is happening? It
(03:50):
is a football Friday here on two pros and a
cup of Joe. And uh, let's start off with the
most important news of the whole situation going on tomorrow.
Hamlin and the Buffalo Bills, as reported yesterday, showing substantial improvement.
He's able to communicate via writing. He's still on a ventilator, UM,
(04:10):
but and the can assess his overall health until he's
breathing on his own and able to speak. His football
future obviously, that's secondary to all this, and they'll they'll
sort through that um as he continues to improve, but
drastic improvements according to everybody involved, anybody in and around
the hospital according to the doctors there, and so really
(04:30):
really good news for Damar Hamlin and most importantly the
family of Damar Hamlin and obviously his teammates were pretty
pretty happy about yesterday. And I mean truly incredible. Again
just going back to the staff that was able to
you know, save his life out there on the field,
all the medical professionals at the hospital, instance Cinnati, You've
been able to help him along to this point. Uh,
(04:51):
It's just it's incredible. You know. We we often throw
out a tag of like hero and we think of
them sometimes watching movies or their things, but you know,
all those involved, I mean that that really is the
definition of a hero, being able to save someone's life.
And I thought one of the interesting things that that
came out from the news of his progress was his
communication with the doctors. And as you said, he can't
(05:13):
speak yet, but he he is able to write. And
one of his first questions was did we win? And
you know their response was you know, you you you won.
You won in the game of life. But I thought
that sheds some light into the mentality of of an
NFL football player, like if you if you, if people
out there can't understand how we are wired. Like, I
(05:37):
don't know what else to say, Like a guy who
literally had his heart stopped beating on that field, and
one of the first things he asked and communicates is
did we win? Um, that's how much the game means
to people, you know. And I think just the perspective
from the fact that you know he's communicating and still
probably trying to process everything that's transpired and happened to
(05:58):
him at this point. And meanwhile, you know, a few
days about a week ago, right, he was probably thinking
of himself as a world class, top of the world athlete.
I mean, when when you're playing in prime time Monday
night football, any prime time game in the NFL, there
is no other feeling than like I am one of
the top one percent in the world as far as
(06:21):
an athlete and what I can do and how powerful
that feels. And then now to have so much questions
about if he even will be able to lead a
normal life moving forward with so much still left the
head for him. I can only imagine how this is
all hitting him as he is starting to understand what's
what's what he's going through. Um, But but I thought
that was interesting to think about. That's the first thing
(06:42):
he talked about with the doctors. Uh, and it's it
just goes to show you how much the game means
to so many guys when they're out there playing, especially
when you consider that was the biggest I can't think
of a bigger Monday night football game in recent memory,
like that was the showcase game between two top teams
in the a f C. Burrow Allen, all of that stuff,
(07:05):
and it was going to play out. I mean, everybody
was looking forward to that game. That was the final
Monday night game of the year. And yet damn, like
halfway through the first quarter and yeah, that was the
first thought in his mind. Is pretty incredible. I'm happy
for him, you know, I'm happy for his family. I'm
I'm happy for everyone involved with with what happened with
(07:27):
the more and you know, again, I just I just
love the fact that it puts things back into perspective.
It humanized football. It humanized you know, the the the
outlook or or the the perspective on who we are.
(07:52):
Yeah we are the most elite athletes. Yeah we are powerful.
Yes we are different. We're sir, only why you're different.
But we're still people, you know, and I think sometimes
that gets lost in in in all of this. You
know that you can see so many examples of where
(08:13):
we don't look at athletes as just being people. We
look at them almost like they're aliens, and and that
you know, they're invincible, especially in football. Now some may say, no,
I think that it villainized football. It shouldn't have villainized
the game, and and that should be stated, Um, this
(08:35):
was something that happened. And again, I've had the conversation,
how many times can you count how many times you've
seen something like this happened to this magnitude, And I don't.
I haven't come across anyone yet who has said, you know,
I think one person said they saw it happen in
(08:56):
high school, and it's it's it's a y are's it's
a scarcity. It's not it's not something that you're going
to see on on a regular basis. It hasn't been
seen on a regular basis. So the gravity of something
as as graphic as as that was, and as as
(09:18):
traumatic as its scenario in situation as it was that
played out, I think it again. I like the fact
that it it makes things real, and it makes things
real in a way where you can appreciate the sacrifices
that these young men put forward every single time they
(09:41):
go out there on the field. I think that that
I hope and and and maybe it maybe it doesn't.
Maybe maybe it's okay, he's he's getting better. It's back
to business as usual, you know, and that that's generally
how society works. But for those who the risk, yeah,
risk as well, but you know, there there's the sacrifices
(10:02):
as well that that are you're you're you're basically sacrificing safety,
you know. Um, And and there's there's sacrifices, there's other
sacrifices that go into it as well. But you you're,
you one are dealing with the inherent risk of of
the possibilities of what could happen when you play the game.
(10:23):
But I'm just again, I'm just glad that that with
with his his now coming back to health and him
fighting too, not only with the people who helped him,
with the medical staff, but with him helping and fighting
himself to to get back, you know, get back here
(10:44):
and and still be here. Um. I'm I'm just I'm
I'm I'm just in the end, I'm just glad that
he you know, that he made it, because it would
be this would be a very very tough conversation. These
would be tough conversations if if there were, you know,
a different outcome. You know, it's amazing though, even with
(11:05):
all this positive news that comes out and everything, you know,
everyone rallying around a come and goal and and and
a thought that a who cares about the game, let's
make sure everybody's you know, he gets back to full health,
his family's thoughts. The donation his go fund me page,
which last check, I think it was over seven point
(11:25):
two million. It's probably even farther than that, which is
that's crazy considering where it was and where it's at
in the matter four days, right, and and now we're
looking at over seven million dollars from people all over
and every walk of life, you know, fresh off the holidays,
probably you know people out there that are donating five
(11:45):
ten dollars whatever they could. All of that is so positive,
and yet you've got members of the Bills and members
of Damar Hamlin's family who have to come out and say, hey,
everybody leaves he Higgins alone. How is that even part
of the conversation here that people would take that play
and go, you know, let's go ahead and reverse engineer
and say none of this would have happened if not
(12:07):
for Tee Higgins lowering it. You gotta be kidding me
like that. And so even in a great story like this,
somebody's got to find an angle to try and say, well,
Tee Higgins was somewhere at fault. The fact that Josh
Allen or anybody from Damar Hamlin's family had to come
out and and speak out against any of that and
defend te Higgins in that situation is mind blowing to me.
(12:27):
I don't get it. But again, that's the sewer that
is social media. That's that's social media, and to a
degree it's humanity. You know, LeVar just talked about, you know,
the humanizing football players. I mean, unfold. The unfortunate reality
is there's always gonna be that one or two percent
of people out there who want to take advantage of
(12:47):
the toy drive and set up those fake accounts trying
to receive donations too. In this case, I want to
look for some way of of taking what has been
optimistic and positive news about tomorrow Hamlin's progress and then
look back and go, well if te Higgins, I mean,
it's unbelievable, Like instead of just moving forward realizing how
(13:10):
rare this entire situation is all the way around, Uh,
they've got to find something to blame. Maybe that's our
problem though, as as humans or as a society, like
we're we're always looking for something to blame instead of
moving forward and looking for solutions. Right, Like, hey, Okay,
this happened once. It doesn't happen very often. In fact,
I mean in my lifetime, I can't recall it ever
(13:32):
happening at least on a football field. So how do
we prevent this from never happening again? You know, as
I said when it was first happening. Is this additional
padding around the chest? Uh for shoulder pads? You know?
Is is it making sure that the pads fit in
a proper way that cover you would would that have
stopped that? Would that have changed anything? Um? Is there
any undergarment you could wear that would help protect it?
(13:53):
We've got rid protectors that you can wear. Is that
could you do something to protect your chest, protect your heart?
So let's let's just don't want to be distracted by
that because you're always going to have that, you know,
with the way humans operate, but it is sad to
see that still be the case. Yeah, it's pretty wild.
It's two pros and a cup of Joe. Here on
Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knoxy Here.
(14:13):
By the way, you want to welcome a newbi here
to the show Fox thirteen ten in Virginia Beach twenty
four second Fox Sports Radio coverage here, So we appreciate
you guys and appreciate you. Yeah, come on, Lavars, hang
out Virginia. Come on, my mom shouts out to the beach. Damn.
R I was just gonna say, that's what you call
it is like VB or Virginia. But what they call
(14:34):
on some people call it Virginia Beach, you know. Some
people say to water area. You know it's you know, yeah,
shouts out to the people, Rhods. I don't know what's
in the water out there in VA. But everyone's fast.
I've never met someone from Virginia that's toast. Really, Oh
my god. Anytime there's like an athlete player on the
(14:56):
team from their fast, I don't care. It's alignment fastest alignement,
like they don't. I don't know what it is in
the water in Virginia, but you people are fast. You're
just everyone's fast. Well, I just literally like, if they
ever like, hey, let's let's let's race, don't do it,
you'll pull a hamstring. You'll look like a fool because
they are fast. They just come out of the womb.
Boy girl whatever. Everyone's fasts, that's all I know. So
(15:18):
you would say that from there, oh and and there
you go, perfect example. So you would say that the
GM Keith Barton, who's welcoming us on Fox thirteen ten
of Virginia Beach, if he had to bet right now
over under four point five forty yard dash over under,
he's probably right on that number. Right. I'll say this
much though, he would beat Scott Shapiro and Don Martin. Wow.
(15:40):
I know, wow, Like I I know that's putting me
in the cross airs right now of of our bosses.
But I could promise you this, he would he would
beat both those guys in a race. Jesus, probably you too, Jonas,
you don't have much fast twitch. Oh God, I wouldn't
blame him. I would that would percent believable. He would
beat me. I'd blow both knee caps out and and
it'd be a problem. Yeah, you're just you more like
(16:01):
a locomotive, like slow once you get going, you know,
than you're a force, especially downheads, a lot more massive
behind dates on it. It's not much faster, but you've
just got a lot of force behind you. I'm telling you,
man that the things, the things you discover on this show.
(16:22):
And speaking of strength matter, we can we can talk
about how complicated other banks make it to redeem credit
card awards, or we can talk about how it Discover

people really really confused. We'll try and clear that up

let's say whatever, like we're good here staff dot Com.
(18:12):
It's a place to go. Man, that wouldn't even notice
if you had said it. Yeah, come on, I thought
it was an amazing read. I love the album far
just this and this is we support each other here,
you guys ever on radio not to like pull back
the curtain too much here you have you ever had
some congestion and you've like needed to either blow your
nose or hakka lugie. But you've got you've got to
(18:33):
do a live read. You have to make it through
while battling through that. It happens quite a bit, actually
every single day, at least twice a day. I would go, yeah,
I think that's uh. But it's also depends on you know,
the night before, did you have any dairy? Did you
have any like there's a lot of a lot of
the things. Yeah, just say it's it's been something that
my my wife, my in laws, all of them were
(18:55):
battling and I think I'm finally getting like a whiff
of it, like this kind of like cold congestion thing.
But it's it's like I'll usually get over it pretty quick.
They'll have it for like forty days and forty nine.
It's a it's a it's a real battle. That should
be a real battle for days and forty nights. Dude.
Trust me. My father in law has been coughing. He's
(19:15):
had this cough for like forever, and he's visited twice
and there's like a fair amount of time in between
the first and last visit. Coughs that the same. He's like, oh,
I'm getting better. I was like, I don't think so.
It's like Doc Holiday, It's like you got to fall
off a horse with blunt in his mouth. Pal, I
think I think we need to go see someone. Um.
All right, So in about twenty minutes now, in about
(19:38):
twenty minutes from now, we do have some very very
good news. If you're a football fan. Let's be honest here.
If you're not, you're a loser. But if you are
a football fan listening to this right now, we've got
some good news for you. That's happening twenty minutes from
now here on fs are Alright, So the NFL yesterday,
here we go, boy, so explain this state seriously. They
(19:59):
cancel the Bills Bengals game. Not a surprise. So they
canceled the the game. It's not gonna be made up.
It's going to be considered a no contest. Now what
that does to you fantasy football players out there who had,
you know, games and championships on the line. Who the
hell those? Yeah? Okay, I'm just saying there's a lot
of people out there that everyone out there, they need
to understand your little fantasy football deal does not matter
(20:23):
as compared to a man's life. Yeah, listen, I agree
with you. But here's this situation that the NFL decided
to come up with. Um, so there's gonna be a
vote on potential scenarios if certain things play out in
the postseason. Right, So here we go. And I'm only
reading this once. I'm not repeating it. So if you
(20:43):
want me to repeat it again or you get lost,
you can kiss my ass. It's not my problem, it's
your problem for not listening. Here. Here's the scenario one,
all right, and again this is the is gonna be
voted on by owners. Scenario one Buffalo in Kansas City,
both win or both tie in week eighteen, then a
Buffalo versus Kansas City championship game would be at a
(21:05):
neutral site. All right, So maybe we should just break
this down by scenario. Are you guys okay with that?
Based on the fairness in the situation. If this happens,
Buffalo and Kansas City both win this week, their championship game,
if they were to play in the a f C
title game is at a neutral site. I mean, why
do we not know where that neutral site is. It's
like Indianapolis, the equidistant point between the two. That's the
(21:27):
that's the other vote that's coming up. I've also seen
Atlanta what had been potentially thrown out there Detroit as
is booked. I guess Detroit's got something going on. I
would lean towards Indie in part because I've seen them
to do a great job with a big ten championship game.
Obviously the combines held there. That city can withstand fan
bases from both sides. And here's what I love about
(21:47):
at least that aspect of it. And I know both
fan bases went a home game I get it. Home
field advantage is huge, but you could get some really
bad weather in Kansas City in Buffalo at that point,
and as cool as it would be to see, well,
we're not going to get is weather impacting two of
the most prolific pastors the games ever seen in the
homes at Allen. So I don't mind it so much
(22:10):
as a solution for the cards we've been dealt. It's
also basically a de facto super Bowl set up, because
that's what they try and do with the super Bowl
outside of MetLife. They try and put it in a
place to where you're not going to be impacted by weather.
And we've talked about it. If you could just get Buffalo,
Kansas City and just make that you're super Bowl just
(22:30):
kind of you know, finagled a way to eliminate the NFC.
Who wouldn't sign up for that. So that would be
pretty fun to watch those guys play in ideal circumstances
and situations and just go up and down the field
and score, you know, a thousand points each. That would
be a lot of fun for everybody involved. Me to
that point, you you do bring up a good point
of like wanting to be in a warm weather place
only because travel too. I mean what I was if
(22:54):
you you had fans the teams, they couldn't get there
because of weather up in the north or the Midwest area,
and that could be something that kind of hampers it
as well. We've obviously seen that impact the Buffalo Bills
season so far. So that's scenario one. Here's scenario too.
If the Bills and Chiefs both lose this week and
Baltimore winsor ties with the Bengals, then a Buffalo versus
(23:16):
Kansas City championship game would also be at a neutral site. Okay,
so this is where the the Baltimore game and since
he game come in. If they lose, all of that stuff,
and then scenario three, if Buffalo and Kansas City both
lose and Cincinnati beats Baltimore, then a Bills or Bengals
versus Chiefs championship game would also be at a neutral site.
(23:39):
There's a lot going on here. I'm I feel like
I may be dealing with a d D this morning.
I'm not. I'm telling you. I mean everything said equated
to to a neutral site. Here's the other part of it.
Baltimore can't win the division so the division's over with.
Cincinnati's won the division, but they're going to have a
(24:00):
coin flip if these if these two teams meet up
in in in fairness, they're gonna have a coin flip
to determine who hosts the playoff game, and that'll be
determined after this weekend. I like coin flip better. Yeah,
it makes a little easier, right, I mean, it just
kind of goes back. It takes you back to a
place in time where things were simpler. If you're Kansas City,
(24:21):
though you don't want that, you've already experienced a coin
flip that didn't go your way and to a Super Bowl. Yeah,
maybe you get to redeem it. That's you know, maybe
we get to erase that taste the way joinas read
it in our rundown notes from Lee, who seemed to
simplify it. If the Chiefs lose, Bills win, Bills the
number one seed. M okay. The Chiefs win the Bills lose,
(24:44):
can City is the number one seed. Okay. If the
Chiefs and Bills both win, and I'll play on a
neutral site. Like the scenario you played out was one
of which included Cincinnati. But it really comes down to that
that it only gets confusing. Of both the Chiefs and
Bills lose, you blame the NFL. They're the ones who
set the map. But why why did you have to
make that more complicated than needed to be. Listen, I'm
(25:05):
here to point out the NFL's flaw on all this.
I mean, they try to send a memo out to
make everything simpler. So let me just repeat to help
out that payable to kiss my ask dot com and
everyone else who might have been confused. If the Chiefs
win the Bills lose, Casey is the number one seed
in Casey home field home field. If the Chiefs lose
(25:28):
and the Bills win, Buffalo is the number one seed
home field home field an FC championship game. If the
Chiefs and Bills both win, it'll be at a neutral site.
Let me go ahead and play spoiler here. The Chiefs
aren't losing and the Bills aren't losing, and if they meet,
it's gonna be Why do you have to bring the
Cincinnati component. I've just said that's part of this, like
(25:49):
they've they've thrown it, that part of it with Baltimore,
that's a radio professional. He's part of that. That less
than you know one percent of amazing radio host that
has their own show with two pros with the Joe
Great Point Saturday's at two Eastern times Great Point. So
if the only thing that changes for since that is
(26:10):
if since NATI loses to Baltimore this weekend, and if
it happened to play again the wild card round, my
understanding is they would flip for home field. That's where
a coin toss would come into play, would it not?
Um I believe so, Uh yeah, I think so. And
and they're voting on that later on today, correct, Like
that's where the determination is happening. Yes, And and since
(26:32):
that is you said, has already one DFC North based
on their win percentage. So that's why you know, even
though they play week a team, we're still trying to
sort out like how that would match up then if
they were to play each other in the first round
of the playoffs, the wild card round the very following week.
You know, one of the ideas that was thrown out
there that they shot down. But what if you added
another playoff team, if you made it an eight eight
(26:54):
team playoff for the a f C and NFC. And
it's like, I love how the NFL said, well that
was never under consider but yeah, not this year, but
that's coming like that, that that that'll be happening in
the next couple of years. Here, that's how they get
to this point. How about the NFC just getting completely
off scott free with this? I mean just there's there's
obviously no issues given the circumstances that took place because
(27:14):
they were between two a f C teams. But I mean,
who are you? I mean, think about it and we'll
be honest. The NFC, you just could use whatever hell
they can get because nobody from the NFC is winning
the Super Bowl. Okay, like just call what it is, like,
give them whatever hell they Uh, the NFC has got
no shot winning the Super Bowl. Why do you see that?
(27:39):
We said that every single year and then we watched
l A when it last year? Do we see Tampa
bet Kansas City? Not this year? It's a new year.
Who am I missing in between those? This year that
I was, dolly man, it's not happening this year. Whoever
comes out of the a f C is one of
the super Bowl all right? And be do I mean, okay,
(28:02):
that's a that's a fair question to ask. It's not
likely we probably don't have any drops with Jinas making
these sorts of wild proclamations. Not not not today. We
know Burdo's got those in the hole stir at all
times to point those out, and those are taking completely
out of context. I'd be listen that whatever. All right,
Here's here's what I'd be willing to do if the
(28:24):
NFC wins the super Bowl. Right, if the NFC wins
the super Bowl, I would be willing to hump a
pole ti No, no, no, I'm not humping any poll alright.
I'm just not doing it unless you spray with perfume
and then all that's that. He's always been about that
because it's funny, as it is funny, but it's just funny,
(28:46):
I don't know, degrading and demeaning. Here's what I'm willing
to do if if the NFC wins the Super Bowl.
I'm willing to host a show on Saturdays by myself. Yeah,
I'm willing to do that. And there's not a lot
of people that can do that, so so that would
really be putting myself out there, you know. And I'll
(29:07):
even pick a time so many people two to four
Eastern times two to four Eastern time. You would do
it for two hours this and I'm willing to do it.
I'm willing to do that. I'm willing to go above
and beyond, like I'm will act practice to be able
to do it if it were to happen to absolutely,
I'd be willing to make that to do that for
(29:28):
you guys here on the show. But look, I I
just I don't see the NFC winning a this year.
But there's the the situation and the set up for
the NFL this weekend, and that is how things look
as we approach a wild week eighteen. And between the
outcomes of those games, the National Championship Game on Monday,

(30:30):

to do that. Great news from the NFL on the
condition of Buffalo Bill's player to mar Hamlin, it was
announced on Thursday, he is making remarkable improvement over the
past twenty four hours. Still critically ill, but he demonstrated
that he appears to be neurologically intact us after suffering
(30:52):
a cardiac arrest in the monat game, and said Tannatti,
Hamlin is unable to speak due to a breedy too,
but he has been able to communicate with his family
and medical or so. Now back to Brady Clinton, ther

(33:29):
That's right, fellas kind, it feels good to be a
football Friday. And that's right. The XFL has announced the
the new schedule coming up starting February for the XFL,
starting with the Vegas Vipers versus Arlington Renegades. Remember a
reminder of the eight teams we got in here. We
got the Arlington Renegades, Houston Roughnecks, Orlando Guardians, San Antonio Brahmas,
(33:54):
Seattle Sea Dragons. St. Louis battle Hawks, Vegas Vipers, and
the DC Defenders. Yeah, better believe it. I mean, look,
everyone thought football was going to be go bye by,
and they were looking around like, what are we gonna do?
Do we have to actually start watching the NBA now?
And then the XFL rolls out. You know, it's back
to watch football, damn right, and our new friends on
(34:16):
eleven ninety I heart sports in d C. Blowtorch. There,
Dennis Glasgow, the program director, that we appreciate it. Shouts
out to Dennis. This is a bit everybody. Everybody wants
LaVar part of the team again. Hey, let me know
when y'all want me to come on, man, I'll make
a shout. Yeah, I mean the Stick City, it's a place, man, yeah,
(34:38):
so is DC. Yeah, I mean you're gonna bring your
fish or no? You know, um Jonas, that's I'm gonna
kick your ass. What do you want? What are you
talking about? You brought up my mind, You brought up
my fish. I know he was just joking though, come on, sure,
(34:59):
actually let him I would let him live for this.
But Joannas, I will say this, all right. It is
a sensitive deal for the last you choke about it,
but it is a sense of things. I raised them
from little itty bitty fishies a big, big, strong fish, proud,
happy fish and they all have three legs. Now you're
(35:20):
joining in on the fun against me and my fish
was amazing. It's unbelievable. How hard you guys are. Oh man,
let the old trapod trout all right? So Lee, what
else we got here? Great guys. In case you missed this,
yesterday we talked about SOFI Stadium banning tailgating. Well, Governor
(35:42):
of Georgia has taken taking a shot at them on Twitter, saying, well,
California may not know this. In the South, to tailgate
with friends and families the only way to prepare for
a big game. When Georgia hosts national championship, will make
sure fans are able to tailgate, even if it's at
the state capitol. Just out of it, stick to stick
to politics. Why don't we get this? I mean, you know, okay,
(36:04):
but it's always the angle of all right, I'm in
a political position. I need to go say something like
this because there's some people out there you're like, you
know what, maybe when Georgia was playing for back to
back national championships and our governor spoke, I'm gonna vote
for him again, vote from a he spoke out about
no tailgating, hold on gona have some cocktails. I was
(36:28):
trying to picture. I mean it is I'm gonna support
our governor because that one time he spoke out against
so FI Stadium not allowing to have tailgates And did
he say go downs that? Did he did? He did? Yeah,
(36:51):
it is. It is pretty ridiculous though, just the the
tailgating and that whole craft that they're trying to pull it. Well,
I do I do hope, I said, as the college
football playoffs expands, I do hope that they eliminate l A. Hey,
what do we do? I'm just sorry, like you go
find other venues that allow you to tailgate and have
(37:12):
a good time, which is pretty much everywhere else in
America beside so far. I mean, you do have to
leverage you're you know what you got and you know
what for them to do that to college fans, I mean,
that's that's a part. It's college football, man, if anything
more than anything else, it's college football that you know,
they won't make it a point to say no RVs.
(37:33):
Do you understand that telopn do like of all the
things that like could have like this was acceptable during
COVID tailgate should have been as long as you're you know,
properly distance, ETCeteras outside, but still like like like it's tailgating.
What are we talking about? And why are we banning this?
And by the way, if anybody's ever seen how Georgia tailgates,
they do it right, they do. Yeah. They dress up,
(37:54):
they're all they're very well groom to dress for it.
You know. I was at a South Carolina Georgia game
and we had at the tailgate for ninety extra minutes
because there was a lightning storm and for for safety,
and they said for they said, you know, we don't
want to bring anybody into the stadium. Stay out there
and keep drinking, and everybody got mutilated, I mean hammered
and Georgia fans it was. It felt like it was
(38:15):
one to one, if not more like they all showed up.
They were having a good time. They're not a rowdy
bunch to where they're gonna go and pick fights with anybody.
Everybody was cordial. They just had a good time. And
now that's all been ruined. Here always say, I will
say to the governor's defense, he was at that uh
that game between Georgia and Ohio State was right next
(38:36):
to us. Yeah he was, I mean, but he was there. Yeah,
but I'm saying he was there, like and they were
like they were up in that bad boy getting. They
was rowdy up in there, like yeah, I don't doubt that.
I mean it was turned but yeah, it was turned up. Now,
you know, I'm just saying it ain't like he's not
a sports fan, like he probably knows who the players are,
(38:57):
you know, by names like he you know, he said,
you think this falls under the government, excuse me, the
governor duties? Like what he No, No, I don't think
it falls under his duties. I think he inserted himself
into this this sticky of a wicki and and then
he pulled away with you know, we'll do it, We'll
(39:17):
do it right here, because you know he's probably playing
on the fact that anyone who knows who he is
knows he's a big time football fan. Changed my mind.
You changed my mind. I wrong, you changed my mind.
I should have said everything the governor of Georgia, go
ahead and give so far. Hell give them hell by
the way, LaVar, didn't you say you hadn't been tailgating
(39:38):
until after you stopped playing, And it was just like
I open it was amazing. Yeah, so I had seen it,
seen it from the bus. Now's your favorite thing to do? Right?
It really is with Long Islands? Yeah, just double up
