Speaker 2 (01:43):
You feeling yeah, I will throw it today? Yeah? Yeah,
I feel amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yep, I feel.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Like a Lionbacker from Lionbacker Albu are It's national Albu
day to day. Are something like a pirate right now?
I know that I saw someone was doing some TV
work last night. Yeah you saw that? Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
A bit alarming because I do feel like you pushed
out a good friend of mine who used to go
on that show.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Okay, first and foremost.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Messed up first, trust me, that was the old spot.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Okay, that was That is an unfair representation as to
what happened. Okay, I there was a call made, there
was a blessing, blessing given, and multiple time conversations had
about the situation, or else I would not have pursued
or even accepted the offer that was there. So it
(02:43):
doesn't matter for those of you that are listening nationally.
It's just this post game show locally here in Los
Angeles on the Channel four affiliate for NBC and or
the NBC affiliate Channel four, and you know, just trying
to figure out TV.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
You know, some big shoes to fill. Man, I used
to watch that Petros was on. He was as entertaining
as it kids that you saw.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
The picture women there was dressed like shoes were filled. Man,
I'm telling you this is Jonas had them shoes for
stepping on last night. Baby.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Do you see the holes in the shoes. By the way,
I didn't realize I need I needed new shoes until
I put them on and went oh, there's like multiple
holes in them, like ripped at the SEMs.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
No, I didn't see that, man, I just saw smoothness.
I saw. I saw how you looked at the camera,
all right, yeah you look. I just saw you, which
was a little one, absolutely out of line. Then he
looked at the camera a little bit longer, and then
he looked over to his friend all the way over
to the other side. I don't know what. He's got
(03:47):
a whole lot of energy. And I mean, when I
say he's got a whole lot of energy, I thought
I was watching scar Face, but nonetheless, I mean, it
was an entertaining show to watch.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Man, listen, I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I was about to change the channel. I was like,
oh my gosh, this what I don't know?
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Me man still out he's replacing Petros, Like good luck, just.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Line, I mean, replace Petros today. Then you know he
replace Petros next week. The next time you say, it's
something on a big noon, and then you know, you
reach Petro.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
I don't know, maybe hey, he'll be angling for some
of your stuff next thing.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
I'm not even on TV. I couldn't even stay on TV.
You guys are all on TV. I'm just you know,
I'm just here with you guys.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Can we move on to a bright spot in the
NFL this weekend?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Oh my gosh, is it bright or is it a
dark spot? For every bright bright, bright, bright sunny sunshiny
day bright, there's a not so bright.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
I mean, I'm just trying to figure out, like, who
thought it was nice to have the Miami Dolphins scheduled
against an FCS team in a week the NFL season.
I'm just trying to figure out, because what the f
was that seventy burger and probably could have had more?
Did the Miami Dolphins put up on the Denver Broncos yesterday?
I don't know when. I'm sure there's you know, the
(05:09):
stats that have been thrown out there. I don't recall ever
seeing that ever at all. At any point, it seemed like,
you know, they were playing Wafford or somebody from college
football that scheduled early on in the season because they're
looking for a payout. I don't that was what the
hell was that? Man?
Speaker 3 (05:31):
I mean, in defense of the Denver Broncos, their defense
was pretty banged up. They were missing some pieces in
the secondary, so maybe that played a role, But I
mean Miami was even without Wattle.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Remember Jalen Wattle.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Was out due to concussion, so you literally didn't even
have their full strength. And it's just I've been saying
it for weeks now. The offensive creativity. I mean, there's
two shovel says that Mike McDaniel had kind of put
in and the different things that he does pre snap
and where he puts guys in different spots. It's so
(06:08):
far and beyond the other teams. Like if I if
I asked you right now, who are the two best
teams in the NFL, I would say San Francisco and Miami,
but both three and zero, they've both been pretty pretty
darn good.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
And they come from the same coaching tree.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
Obviously, Mike McDaniel had coached under Kyle Shanahan and San
Francisco And it's just like I feel, it's really easy
to see which offensives excel, which coaches have creativity, and
he can put defenses in a bind and you can say, well,
they have Tyreek Hill, or they have Deebo Samuel, they
have Christy. Okay, that that's part of it, but I'll
(06:46):
say this much, brock Perty's played really well and Tua
Tungaby Lowe has played fantastic this year.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Do we ever have we ever talked about them as
a top five QB.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
No, Like, we don't look at either of those two
and say, well, they're Josh Allen or they're Patrick Mahomes,
or they're even Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson or we
never talk about them like that. So it's kind of
crazy to me that you look at the two best
teams right now three games in, and I know Philly
(07:15):
and Tampa are both undefeated they play tonight. But if
you look at those two teams and you said, if
you want to talk about the personnel they have, okay,
but it's the coaching, it's the it's the offensive creativity,
the innovation that they have, and it's by far and
away bigger than anyone else in the NFL. And I
think they're separating themselves, like Shanahan and Mike McDaniel are
(07:37):
separating themselves from everyone else that they go up against.
At least schematically, they're ahead of the game right now,
and it seems very obvious.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
I would venture to say, if a team in the
National Football League allows V and D points in the game,
somebody should be fired. Now, I'm not calling for somebody's job.
I'm not calling for somebody's job. I'm just saying, in
(08:12):
corporate America, if you have a fail is epic. Is
that in a performance like bud Light, I can guarantee you.
I can guarantee you when that ad campaign ran and
it was finished, multiple people lost their job. I can
(08:33):
guarantee that. We know, we know, we know you didn't.
We're scared.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
We can guarantee the ambassador there was you know, probably
somebody came up with that.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
But yeah, I want you to know about rolling down
in the Deep. That was such a poor like to me,
you can have a bad day because guys are missing,
but when you have a point total of a happening,
(09:05):
that's like literally two points away from what's ever happened? Ever,
hold on, who are you firing though? Shot? I don't know.
I don't know. I just I don't know. If I'm
Sean Peyton, somebody's got to go. If sure, that wasn't
the red ass that Vic Fangio had, maybe, I mean
(09:26):
it was a red ass, I'll tell you that. And
it was it was getting slapped over and over and
over and over, and he gave somebody else a red.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Ass and got dealt a crap bag when he was
coach of the Broncos quarterback situation.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Slap, What did the fingers say to the face? Over
and over and over and over and over and over
seventy times.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Over the defensive coordinator's vance, Joseph, I feel like that's
a little uh, you know, it's a little premature just
to fire him after three games.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
But I don't know premature after seventies? I mean, did
the defense put up did the defense put up too many?
Like there wasn't that many points the defense put it?
I didn't see. I didn't put up any The Dolphins
scored ten seventy points? Were Dolphins scored ten touchs? Somebody's
gotta go, somebod I gotta go.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
I mean, well the Broncos scored seven, So yeah, so
the Broncos offense scored a couple or.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Thirteen and that was wasn't that late? Score? Seven? When
when did they score? It was late? Right? Yeah? I mean,
I just it's.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
The old Nick Saban quote. They ran through them like
bleep through a tin horn just all day and could
have gotten more.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
I mean, when I was doing my prep for what
I would say and how I would interpret what took
place in the Miami game versus Denver. All I could
sit there and think about was somebody's got to lose
their job over this. If if I own that team,
and that's what I'm paying, I'm paying somebody to allow
(10:58):
seventy points to get on the board, seventy points.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
A Lee, Can we run with? LeVar Arrington says Vance
Joseph should be fired? Can we run with that? On Twitter?
The FSR Twitter account?
Speaker 2 (11:09):
I mean again, what is unfair about it? Like? And
I stand on that like nothing personal, don't know the guy,
never met him, no personal beats, no bones, have nothing
against anybody other than to say I have something against
you being in second place. I think they're in second
place now all time for most points allowed in an
(11:32):
NFL game. I do believe that they're second place. I'll
put it this way.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Granted, the Steelers gotta win last night, but the Dolphins
in one game gained more yards than the Steelers had
the two games going into two games?
Speaker 2 (11:46):
A Lee?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Can we also run with? Brady Quinn says Matt Canada
should be fired.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
We're just but I never said that.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
I know but it's I mean, here's here's here's.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
A different headline.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Lee run with Jonahs knocks did basically get Petrocks pop
Vega's fire.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Oh wow, we're getting everybody fired here.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
If you, if you, if you did it, they're jealous,
really though, really yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
If your stat line was three hundred and six yards passing,
you had one d D, you had one turnover one
one I in T and your quarterback rating was an
eighty three point nine, you had no fumbles, you were
sacked one time. Would you would you sit there and
think I would think that that's a team that probably
(12:32):
won the game. I would say they probably won the game.
And they not only didn't win, they got throttled, thumped.
They run through our ass like a tin horn man. Yep, yep, yeah,
I mean I don't. I don't. I find it to
(12:54):
be pretty pretty. That's got to be super alarming.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Do you want to hear because you are?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
You are Also, let's keep this in mind, guys, I
do want to hear it. Let's keep in mind this
team is Oh, they were zero to two going into
the game. They had already lost two games, so you
can clearly say they are not trending up from those
two losses and improving as they go. That was a
(13:24):
horrible trending down on your third loss. Horrible trending down,
by the way.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
But go ahead, Johnson, do you want to hear red
ash Sean Payton after the game?
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I mean, who care?
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Okay, So here's here's the Broncos head coach.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Those next two days, we'll have a lot to look
at and discuss. Again, it's disappointing. I mean, I'm gonna
lost for words because I've never been in I've been
on the other side of some games like that, and
then every once in a while on this league you
get your butt up.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
But this was more than that.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
I know that you said it's embarrassing, but this is
kind of an historic game. Third time the team was
scored seventy points over.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Seventy what's a question?
Speaker 5 (14:07):
I mean, what's the question?
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I just finished telling you historically embarrassing? Next question? I mean,
if you give up seventy points, do you get to
respond to the media that way? I mean, I would
I would have to answer that question every single time
a reporter asked me a question in terms of if
it's embarrassing, even if you are ready.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Can I point this out though, after Sean Payton, who
is so vocal about Nathaniel Hackett last year, And I'm
not even saying that there's any ties great, but I
do wonder if there's like an element of yes, Vic
Fangio's on defense.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
I'm sure he had a red ass to say.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Like no, no, no, we're gonna pour it on these guys
the entire time for firing me, and you could stop
it right, But I'm sure there's some like almost like
bro code, you know, like Sean Payne was out, went
to TV, maybe rubbed some people the wrong way, the
way he would like politic for jobs or talk about jobs,
and and it's almost like Mike betaking them like that.
(15:07):
We're gonna teach Sean a lesson or two, like that
super Bowl he won it was a little while ago.
We're we're gonna show him now where the NFL is at.
You know, you didn't take that much time off, but
let's just put it this way, like we're gonna make
sure he realizes you can't just talk like that when
you're out about a guy that was coaching last year
and bury him the way he did.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Nathaniel Hackett.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
I do wonder if there's an element of that at
play where they kind of really wanted to stick it
to Sean Payton for how vocal he's been about all that.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
I just felt like when you get into a scenario
of things being you know that you can find that
there's red asses to go around the entire NFL football
That was more than a red ass.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
That was like, you know when you got that ex
girlfriend who like keys your car.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Or spray past on there that you're a keeter.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
I've meant more like like like punctures your like one tire.
This is where like they just she hires some guys
to come in. They take all four You're on cinder blocks. Like,
it's not like slashing one tire or king one side
of your car. Your car is on blocks. Bro, she
took all four wheels. You aren't going anywhere in that thing.
(16:25):
She had those guys take out the engine, the whole damn.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Thing, catalytic converter sitting on the side.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Of the road to see. To me, you can you
can claim you can claim a totaled car on something
like that. To me, you just spray paint that bad boy.
Not to say that I'm in on all of this stuff,
but I just know how bad that has felt for
somebody I've seen go through it. I'm just say, have
you gone through that? You don't have that? That was
(16:50):
very specific. You don't have to name, you don't see.
If you do all the stuff you said, insurance takes
care of it, and you laugh at the girlfriends say,
ha ha, my insurance takes care of it, you stupid.
But if she just spray paints it and puts on
there what you did, the date you did it, you know,
stuff like that information you can't claim totaled.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Have you guys?
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Have you guys you got to get a paint job?
Have you drive it around?
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Have you ever had your car keyed?
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Yes, plenty, I've had plenty of my car's key I
never had my car kids, Well, good for you. I've
had my car the worst, the worst car keying I
had and it wasn't even a car king. They just
banged my car up bad. Was after a high school
football game. I accident. I won't even say accidentally, I
mean we were out of high school. I had to
(17:40):
drive to the game because I wasn't going to be
able to make it to get on the bus. So
I drive to the game and I parked my car,
and after we throttled these boys, apparently somebody knew who
I was, knew what my car was, and I came
out in my car was was fed up.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah, mine went all the way from gas cap to
the to the driver's side door handle or the passenger
side door handle.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Terrible. Yeah not.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
I mean listen, I'm not here to share anybody's details
on any of that.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah. Yeah, flation scoring lover o. Damn, I would know
who it was if it was Lee. You know, we
know it was taught, but yeah, who's your talk?
Speaker 1 (18:26):
I don't know. I bought them a bud light. We
were fine afterwards. It is two Pros and a Cup
of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Harrington, Brady Quinn,
Jonas Knox with you. All right, So we are going
to have the usuals coming up later on. We do
have another edition of In case you missed it, We've
got an FSR I R we need to get to.
We're also going to have you any you out. It's
all yours here on this three hour extravaganza known as
(18:49):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe on Fox Sports Radio.
But we do have ourselves some frustrations starting to set
in for one team that was a big time talking
point in the NFL for weeks and weeks and weeks,
and we'll tell you who that is next.
Speaker 6 (19:05):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Come
it up in we'll call it twenty minutes from now
from the tire rack dot Com Studios. There was a
there was a major statement made by somebody in the
NFL over the weekend. We'll tell you what that statement
(19:40):
was again coming up here in about twenty minutes from
now here on FSR. But there was a major statement
made elsewhere in the NFL, and that was the New
England Patriots who beat the New York Jets for a
fifteenth consecutive time yesterday. And it just appears like Robert
Sala and Jets FA and and everybody there at a
(20:01):
loss for what the hell to do next?
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Okay, what's worse getting beat one game seventy to twenty,
and it could have been worse.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
We're getting beat fifteen straight times.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Getting beat fifteen straight times.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Yeah, Robert Salah hasn't been beat fifteen straight times though now,
but the Jets fan base has been. Yeah. Yeah, I
just think you can continue to blame things on Zach Wilson.
That's just the easy way out. Well, if we had
Aaron Rodgers in and not Zach, we would have won,
(20:36):
and that's entirely wrong. That's just I think that that's
what they're going to right. I mean, the defense played well, yeah,
you know, the defense continues to be scrappy and do
what they need to do. I mean, it was an ugly,
ugly score.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
So it did feel like Bill Belichick was like, yeah,
we can not take any chances.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
And we'll eventually just win this thing.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
I mean, it really does feel like that's a team
that is just a quarterback away again from doing something.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
And it's a bit.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Odd that outwardly they keep they keep saying, you know,
he gives us the best chance.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
It's like, well, dude, your team is freaking out on
the sidelines.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
I mean Michael Carter, running back, he was getting into
one of the coaches, Garre Wilson was getting into. I mean,
all these guys are boiling over with frustration, and it
feels like eventually there's going to be a come to
Jesus moment between a lot of the leaders on that
team and the coaching staff and the front office because
(21:38):
they feel like they're out here wasting a year. That's
how it feels to me looking at this team with
Aaron Rodgers. I thought they were gonna be a playoff team.
I thought they could be a super Bowl contender, and
now it feels again like anything but And I know
that might feel harsh or sound harsh towards towards Zach Wilson,
but they've given him three years now, and he's played
(21:59):
a lot of football enough where you would say in
that time we should see that like glowing bright spot
game and even in some of his better games, you
look at it and go, yeah, well there was this
or there was that, Like some of the stuff you're watching.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Go I don't even know how. I don't even know
what what to take away from that.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Has he improved at all?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (22:20):
I kind of felt like he kind of was what
he was coming into the league, and as he's you know,
played over the last three years, it's only been more
of that.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
So the Covid year in college was his crescendo, like
that was the plateau, and.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Then and again it would have been like an NFL
team like these Jets playing in the XFL or USFL,
and that's that's kind of what that's that last year
at BYU was because they were so much better than
all their opponents.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
You know, what's interesting to me is if some way,
somehow the Jets pull out that game with that ugly
ass score, not ugly ass game because I had to
watch it. That was one of the games that was
being aired, which well I had to watch it, and
(23:12):
all I'm sitting there thinking to myself is whichever whichever
team loses this game, the quarterback is going to get thumped.
They're gonna get throttled. If Mac Jones doesn't get out
of that that game, he's I mean, in some in
some cases, we should be talking about Mac Jones almost
the same way quarterback.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
In the NFL body he plays a game the right way,
a little cup check after he gets roughed up.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
A little bit chicking guys in the balls.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Huh, one of those little uh, one of those little Hey,
look where the dog bit me on my shoulder and
you pop me in the In another region.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
They had to win that ugly ass game with running
the ball. Zeke and Stevenson Man. They had to run
the ball. And and I just how far how much
further does does New England get it? It almost seems
like every time New England plays, when they play a
real team, they're not going to win. It's a car
they don't have enough offensive firepower, and it starts out
(24:08):
their quarterbacks position.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
The AFC East is a carbon copy to what it
was last year. Miami and Buffalo are the class of
the division. New England and the Jets aren't.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
With the Jets, Buffalo made a statement, yes, the Jets
are worse than New England and Miami made. I don't
even know what type of statement Miami put. Miami just
didn't put their division on on notice. They put the
entire league on notice with that performance. So I just
I just find it to be interesting. You got two teams,
(24:36):
it's a it's a story rivalry, it's it's it's fifteen
in a row, and it was ugly as hell. And
it's like sitting there watching two grandmoms getting to the
ring with with with boxing gloves on and hoping that
you're going to see a heavyweight throttle take place. And
it was anything but that. It was anything but that.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
And I think that is that the Chiefs have a
fifteen consecutive win streak against the Broncos. I think the
Chiefs have won fifteen straight against the Broncos. I know
the Niners have beaten the Rams nine times in a row,
but those don't feel like this does. Because it was
almost like the Jets fan basically go, oh, well, yeah,
of course you got Tom Brady. Well he hasn't been
there for years and this is still going on. It's
(25:23):
not I mean, just the whole just you look at
the Jets fans and attendance and they're just distraught. They
don't know what to do. Mac Jones, you know, was
it fourth and ten? He just kind of, you know,
throw dumps it off like well short of the first down,
like with the game on the line. It just it
feels like they're at a loss for what is next
(25:43):
and what the solution is. But Robert Sala was asked
about if Zach Wilson was in fact the guy for
the job still after you get another poor performance. This
was his answer.
Speaker 7 (25:54):
Right now, Zach is the best player in the He's
who gives us the best chance to win. You know,
So that's basically that. That would be the cleanest answer
I can give you that.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
I imagine if they asked you how proud of you
are your child? Are you? That was that?
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Imagine if like that was Scott Shapiro or Don Mortan
about us, you know.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Oh my gosh, I like, well, there will be Uh
I'm down there here, I'm going quick before y'all get me.
I'm getting out before you get me out of there?
Why's LeVar not on air today? I'm out of there? Dad?
Did you hear the way he couldn't even put together
what he wanted to say because he knew he was about.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
To lack And look at him on the sidelines, like
every time they show him. I feel bad because he doesn't.
He doesn't want to publicly say it. He's he's trying
to be a good coach. He's trying to be a
good person about it. And I think he knows that
he's kind of put himself in this position where he
has to he has to own it, and now it's
a it's like with all that hope, all that excitement,
(27:02):
everything before the season, you can literally see on his
face how frustrated he is, Like in his mind, I
can only imagine what he's thinking.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
I feel bad for them, man, I really do. It's
not it's not too much more maneuvering you can do.
Let me ask you guys this in some regards, is
there a way that this could play out to the
New York Jets advantage? Like if they really really stink,
(27:34):
you wouldn't have looked at them as being a you know,
we've had the conversation about you know, losing to to gain.
They're they're actually on the road to being bad enough
for being almost like a tank worthy team.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
They're better off being awful as opposed to mediocre.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
Right, Yeah, it could and and and for what it's worth,
for how much longer does the Jets losing really matter?
Because the verdict is I mean, let's be clear out y'all.
Y'all attacked Q last year for what he had to
say about what's playing out to be true this year.
Y'all didn't get an opportunity to say Q was wrong
in this, that and the other. And we'll never know
(28:16):
because Aaron Rodgers came in and did what he did.
But Zack Wilson is yet once again out there and
he's playing. And what what are the what are the sentiments?
What are the what are the defending factors here this
year for Zach Wilson?
Speaker 3 (28:34):
There could be factors last year if well they would
have got after all those Jets fans in those d
bags who had comments to say where are you at now?
Like like where were you last year when it fell apart?
Where are you at now this year?
Speaker 2 (28:46):
So to be there now again once again and could
be considered to be maybe worse because I mean, Zach
Wilson has had Zack Wilson has every reason to take definitive,
if positive steps forward this season. There's no reason that's
there for him not to take positive steps forward, and
(29:08):
yet he still doesn't. And this team isn't. So how
much longer are they relevant for? And if they're not,
if I'm if I'm Robert sala I weather the storm
of being relevant for maybe one two more losses as
the Jets head coach, and I say, guys, stay healthy
(29:29):
on defense, my really really good guys. On offense, y'all
stay healthy too. If you're on the fence, you better
f and get it together, and you better play your
ass off this year so that I keep you. But
the rest of y'all, y'all gone after this season. Y'all
are gone, and and and we're going to rebuild this thing.
On the offense. Saturday ball like the right spot.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
The bright spot, guys, is they got Kansas City on
Sunday Night football this week.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
It's a bright spot.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
And by the way, fun fact, the Jets haven't lost
to Kansas City at homes two thousand and two. How
about that? So there's some there's some hope and optimism
at home to the to the Kansas City chiefs.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
How many times they played them in that sense, I.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Don't worry about it. Don't get lost in the details.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
How many times is that? John?
Speaker 1 (30:12):
It's just tell them, I mean, there's they've played a
lot since two thousand and two.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Don't at home?
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yeah, a couple of times, you know, a couple of times.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Don't get don't get.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Caught in the details because you don't have that fun
fact that I did.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Okay, I had literally a couple of times. It's it's
more about just giving context to what.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
You just said.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
There's no reason to give contest. Here's talk radio.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Yeah, but if you ever want to get good on TV,
you have to have context. Oh wow, well there you go.
But but he's acknowledging this is a positive, just like
how Robert Salah acknowledged Zach Wilson and and what you know,
he's our guy for now. At least you acknowledge that
you are on television and that if you want to
(30:54):
get that every week. By the way to go back
to that is every week they got approbate. Those are
some big shoes to feel. I literally used to watch
that show just because of Petros.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Yeah, they used to in Fort Lauderdale. That's big out there, right.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Well, do you forget that.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
I actually lived in LA for about six months, So
every time i'd come home and Sunday nights, I would
watch that and I had like Petros that have like
a pig and all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yeah it's Petros.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Well, I'll say this. Jonas the guy on the other end,
I mean, I just I just was I was like
I was.
Speaker 3 (31:31):
I almost feel like it's like an Aaron Rodgers Zach
Wilson situation, like you're stepping in for.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
My god.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
I mean, I was just trying to comprehend what was
what was going on? Like I was like, you know what,
what's going on in between segments of this show?
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Man, Like you're not alone?
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Pal, They wouldn't say, I mean, it gives new men
meaning a bump, like let's throw a bump in there,
like a bumper. You know that is a radio TV term,
radio term, but yeah, I might have redefined it on
that show. I'm just saying. I was just a fan
of the show, watching the show, and I was just
(32:16):
kind of like I was getting motion sickness. Man.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
All right, Another of a positive feedback coming up next year.
There was a statement made by somebody in the NFL.
We'll tell you what it was here on FSR.

In case you miss it, and I don't know how
you could have, Yes, sir, And in case you missed it,
I don't know how.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
You could have. Taylor Swift was that arrowhead yesterday?
Speaker 2 (34:32):
How could you have missed it?
Speaker 5 (34:33):
Cheering on mister Travis Kelsey sitting next to his mother Donna.
She gave a good LFG during Travis Kelsey's touchdown in
the back of the end zone and they were spotted
together leaving Arrowhead although no sight.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Hey Brady, this is so lame man.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
They weren't holding hands. It's a pr stunt.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
It's it's like an NBA move to get some interest
in your sport. And the NFL doesn't need to do it,
and for some reason people just it just feels choreographed
and fake, like there's something else going on.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
It Just are you hating on Kelsey?
Speaker 1 (35:07):
The whole thing's dumb.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
What do you mean? What's dumb about it? The fact
they're giving it attention?
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Oh god, we got hey, everybody, the Swifties, Taylor Swift's
and attendance and they're walking out of the locker room together,
and it's dude, who cares?
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Should I give you my conspiracy theory? All right?
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Do we have any conspiracy theory music?
Speaker 2 (35:25):
We're already playing music only well no, I mean it
kind of sounds like conspiracy theory music. Okay, let's just
go with this thought.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Yeah, if you're the league and you're looking at how
do you grow your audience, You've tried like every single
way possible at this point. Right, You've got streaming, you've
got your linear television, your typical broadcast cable. You've got
gambling now involved. You know, fantasy has been around forever.
You have tried so many different ways of engaging with
theat it's Nickelodeon even has.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
A broadcast now of NFL games.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
Well, the last step is taking on someone who literally
just made or grossed billions, I should say a billion
in her most recent tour, clearly has a huge following
of a bunch of people who they probably identified that
don't really watch football.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
What do you do?
Speaker 3 (36:15):
You create what is the greatest reality TV? As LaVar
always says, professional sports or sports in general. And you
bring in Taylor Swift and her audience and her brand,
her group, and combine that with one of the most
beloved players in the NFL and Travis Kelson and that,
ladies and gentlemen, is how you grow an audience. You
(36:37):
have a Kansas City butt we're whooping against the Chicago Bears,
where Kelsey catches a touchdown and you get all of
the headlines and storylines you want from this one.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
That's how you grow the audience.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Good round of applause here, that's well done. Actually I'll
buy that.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
I'll give you one quarter a quarter and a half
of that gang watching the performance is on the field
before I go to something else. But if I'm a swiftye,
I'm like, oh, when are they going to go back to? There?
Se is there? Yeah, look at her, she's so happy.
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
An arranged relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey, and some.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Of the greatest stories in human history have been arranged marriages.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
I mean it's not uncommon.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
It's uncommon in all cards, all our culture, but not
in other cultures.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
That'd be add to that bottom line of that billion, right.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
So what you're talking about, Man, my bad.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
My bad, My bad, my bad.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
Could be too soon, by the way. I mean, I
know Lee to laugh, you know, not happy.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
There was all a part of it though, Like look
he's me, so I know this is arranged Travis.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
This is Travis Kelsey's exes. Who again, Kayla Nicole, Yeah,
Kaitln Kayla yeah?
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Oh yeah Lee?
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Are you team Kayla? Team Okay? I didn't get it out,
so is Travis, you know, you know, take it for
the team.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
That's what makes it unbelievable. It doesn't want to seel
like it's in his wheelhouse at all.
Speaker 6 (38:14):
