Speaker 2 (00:06):
That'll pretty much do it. The NBA Finals are over.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
I mean not technically it's three to zero Boston, but
after last night it is not looking good for the
Dallas Mavericks.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
We will discuss.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
We're also gonna have a conversation about one quarterback in
the NFL that's getting another chance to be a starter.
It could actually get the job for good. We're gonna
talk about the Joey Chestnut fiasco and what happened there.
We will discuss as well too with Albert Breer, some
of the Aaron Rodgers speculation and drama. We're gonna pick
names out of the hat when it comes to the
(00:36):
US Open and that turned into a complete mess. Plus,
we're gonna have another edition of you any of you
out and it's all yours coming up next here, Two

I just wanted the technical difficulties to continue for another
minute and a half. That's all I was asking for.
Not a whole hell of a lot on this show.
They're not a whole hell of a lot.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
So did the Mavericks.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
So yeah, but it is two pros and a cup
of Joe.

(02:36):
lot of people saying a lot of stuff about, well, listen,
Dallas can still win if this, and Dallas can still
win if that, and Dallas just needs this to happen.
You know what Dallas really needs. The Mavericks need the
Celtics to not exist. If the Celtics didn't exist, they
might actually have a shot at winning of the series.
But as it stands right now, it's over. That's a wrap,
(03:00):
and now we just get to see whether or not
they get swept at home or losing five.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
That's where we're at.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
It's trending really fast towards citting sweeped in four. It's
funny though, the big two in this coming into this series,
we talked a lot about Kyrie Luca, you know, that tandem,
that that duo, how they got Dallas to this point,
and it's been Jalen Brown consistently, and then Tatum as well,
(03:27):
who had a huge night last night. I know we've
talked about the other complimenting pieces. There's no poor zingis
at least not last night. And they've been they've been
the duo, they've been to tantem, they've been the two
that we should have been talking about. And Jalen Brown
was absolutely phenomenal last night. You know, three point shooting
was you know, tough at times, but outside of that,
(03:49):
I mean, he's still made buckets when they needed to.
When Dallas started to try to come back there towards
the end, he still was able to hold them off,
you know, almost himself.
Speaker 6 (03:58):
And you know, outside of maybe a couple.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
Place here or there, Jalen Brown has really led this
team all three games so.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Far minus two to eighty to be the MVP right
now in the in the series.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
And he should be.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Yes, this was a Jason Kid game and he failed
as a coach schematically. Schematically, they started off the game
kids getting stressed. Nah, no, it's it should be a
direct hit because this was one of those deals where
you had you came out with the right game plan.
(04:33):
It was to attack the paint. They came out, they
attacked the paint, They took the lead, they had a
commanding lead. Then all of a sudden, it was this sloppy,
careless basketball that that the Mavericks started to play. They
started shooting careless shots. They were careless with with the
(04:56):
way they passed the ball. You know, some of these
turnovers were just not the type of turnovers that you
should see in the biggest game of the year for
your team. I thought this was more so about what
the Mavericks didn't do versus what the Celtics did do
in this game. And and yes, give give Tatum and
(05:18):
give Brown credit because they did put up the points
that were necessary to walk down the Mavericks when they
took the lead, and then take the lead and take
a command.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Where did you feel like the Mavericks really had a
commanding lead early on?
Speaker 4 (05:34):
They were up, they were up by what how how
many were they up buying the first quarter? It was
they got up by by halftime, they were they had one.
It was like tied up by halftime. Yet I mean
there was moments. I don't I don't recall the exact score,
but there had to have been a point where they
(05:55):
were up by at least ten points or more. Absolutely
there was, I'm pretty certain.
Speaker 6 (06:02):
I mean, what's the third quarter hit?
Speaker 4 (06:03):
It really was a rap I didn't think so. I
felt like they bought.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
It with three and two a couple of times, but
it just never felt like I thought the Jason Kidd's
biggest mistake and he would see the frustration from Luca
was when there was a missed long three. I think
live they got the rebound, he kicked it to Luca
and Jason Kidd called a time out, and at that
point they just come back like they were. They were
getting close, and I think the possession before they took
(06:31):
a bad shot, Jay Kid took a time out.
Speaker 6 (06:33):
Lucas slammed the ball.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
You could tell he was frustrated because they could have
got another transition bucket.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
But it almost I think that was like six minutes
left in.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
The fourth, But I mean, really it, Boston controlled that
game from halftime on.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
I mean that.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
I'm gonna disagree. I felt like they go ahead and
do it, but they I'm going to go ahead and
do it. They they they they fought back, They brought
the game back within reach of of being able to
get the lead again, and it just seemed like every
single time they did they just got like the shots
that they were taking.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
They were like Dallas never led after the quarter.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
I know, I know, I know, but they were they
were competitive and bringing it back. By the fourth quarter,
they were in striking distance to be able to get
it down the stretch there. There was like at least
I want to say, like five to six minutes that
was left. Maybe maybe a little bit less than that.
But they had it where they they they could have
(07:30):
got it. All they had to do was get two points.
They they come down, Kyrie chucks up a three. They
shouldn't have chucked up a three. He like, he like isolated.
Horford took a three. It's like, you're down by four,
you're down by four, get two points. Play defense, Get
(07:51):
two more points. Play defense. They were the shot selection.
The things they did to me, they were ill advised plays.
Speaker 6 (08:02):
I do.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
I also think and I know that so many different times.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
I know the three that you're talking about, because I
even thought the same thing, and Mike Breen made the
call to where it looked exactly like the three.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
He hit against the Warriors, and.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
And so at that point I think Luca had fouled out,
so it was really that was your best option.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Like Kyrie could have went to the hole. He should
have went to the hole. They were I mean, I
just I don't know. I just feel like this was
a game where they could have kept control of what
was going on if they kept the main thing the
main thing early on, and they didn't. They got they
got ahead because they were going to the to the rim.
(08:45):
Kyrie got going as as we thought he would get
going because there was not that presence in the paint.
You're going to the paint, you're going to the rack,
you're getting buckets. It's creating moments like Lively missing dunks
Ali dunks that he would have made before. Like it's
just to me, I don't know, man, maybe the moment
(09:07):
was too big for them. It certainly did not seem
like they were to me out matched in this game.
They weren't outmatched. They were outplayed and and I you know,
for it to be a game three, I just I
think it was more on Dallas than it was on
on the Celtics last night. If you asked me, do.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
You want to hear Luka Doncik bitch about the officiating.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
He fouled out.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
He was in the wrong, all right, So so Doncic
fouls out in the game, and what was a foul?
And then they decided that, you know, he was upset.
He told the bench to challenge it. They challenged it.
His feet were still moving. He was gone from the game.
So Lucas spoke about it afterwards. Let's take a listen, Luca,
what did you think of the whistles.
Speaker 6 (09:55):
That went against you in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 7 (09:57):
I mean, yeah, I don't know. We couldn't play physical,
so uh no, I don't want to say nothing, but
you know six fallow in the NBA Finals. Basically I'm
like this, Uh, come on, man, better than that every
(10:19):
time the Jorge uh basically call the fall So I
tried to be better him. Uh so, uh gotta get better.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Yeah. The most were letting him play. They did let
the some up. Both sides got away with fouls.
Speaker 6 (10:35):
The movie screen they called it was awful.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
Though he moved into him.
Speaker 6 (10:43):
No, he was his position. I thought maybe if they
thought he like leaned or something.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
But the most, I mean, it's a tickie tag call.
But he leaned into him.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
But they couldn't challenge it. Well, you can argue, but
they couldn't even challenge it.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
They couldn't challenge it.
Speaker 8 (10:57):
Right.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
The Maluca wasn't in position either.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Most of the most egregious call of the game was
Derek White in front of the official fouling to literally
grab him. Said I'm fouling him. Call it and the
guy's looking right at him and they.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Didn't call it, like they told him to foul, and
he's looking around, going, dude, I'm literally pointing you.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
I'm grabbing.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
I tried to pull his sleeve off his elbow and
they didn't call it. That's supposed to agree. Like That's
what I'm like. I don't like even when you're trying
to foul. They didn't get that one right. But the
Luca moving, I mean, as.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
An immediate conversation after it was what's the betting lines?
Speaker 6 (11:35):
Like?
Speaker 4 (11:35):
Is this about? Is this about the point spread? Now?
That's what I made the conversation with the people I
was with when that happened, it was like, is this
about the point spread?
Speaker 1 (11:44):
You don't think the NBA wants this series to go
longer than four games? Like they they they need, they
need as many games possible.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
I know ESPN does.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
I know, like they want their lead to be seen
as much as much as possible, And right now it's
a complete and total mismatch.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
I think I I've always heard and I don't know
this for a fact. I think it's like game five
is break even and then six and seven networks make money.
That was the old model, and with the what the
rights they're paying for some of these leagues, I don't
even know at that point if they if they make
that much anymore. I mean, if you're thinking about how
(12:19):
much some of these networks are giving up for it,
it might be more difficult. And you think depending on viewership,
but usually I think it takes to get to game five,
five or six, and then it's like after that, if
it gets to the game seven, is really that where
they make all the money?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Well, I won't have to worry about that this series.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Yeah, four, because I have to do it for work.
If if I wasn't working, if I wasn't wait wait, wait,
is game four tomorrow? Friday? Friday? I'm not watching. I'm
not watching. Y'all got to show Friday. I'm out. I'm
gonna be with man in Tennessee. Damn, I'm not even
watching this flipping game. So you know what, Rocket keep
(13:00):
let's keep it realm. Yeah, I'm gonna go see the
What kind of dog is that? Is that a what
kind of I don't know, rockets top some type of
I think it's a hound. Anyway, I'm gonna be there
seeing the orange and white, you know, the cream sickle
colors of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but in college somewhat
kind of the same county color, right, it's kind of
(13:21):
the same. Yeah, I'm not even watching game four. Flip
game four?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah, what about up on gametay.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Or can kiss my ass?
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Yeah, but you got up on game Saturday. You know
you want to recant.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
I don't, No, I don't. I'm I'm visiting with my
It's all about man up. So you know what. N
b A Boston Celtics. Congratulations on your your your championship run.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
You're back.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Another banner for for for the legendary franchise.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
Yeah, that airport man. Every time you in there's another banner.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
The happy for the Boston fans. Congratulations Mavericks. Ah, you
did exactly what we thought you would do. Be like
a Dallas team. Get to the big big, get to
get to the playoffs. Wow, I mean, at least you
did better than the Cowboys. You made it all the
way to the end. But you did what the Cowboys do?
Speaker 6 (14:23):
You choked.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
I'm not watching. I'm not watching anymore. Disappointing. You could
have made it a series. You could have gave us
a tat bit a glimmer of hope. You gave us nothing.
You gave us absolutely nothing. And you heard that. That
was the alarm YEP, that was the alarm on your season, Dallas.
And it's gone off. It's over.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
And it's Jason Kidd's fault that Luca is an awful defender.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
It's your fault, Jason Kidd. Your game plan stunk. I
loved you as a player, I love you as a coach,
but this one you're stunk.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
By the way, Jason, by the way, Jason Kidd has
pointed out before in subtle ways, and I'm wondering if
it's not going to get any more subtle than he
has already where he said, yeah, listen, you know, Luca,
maybe just you know, don't bark so much at the officials,
you know, maybe just like uh, you know, like not
every single time. He literally complains every single time like
(15:26):
he's got to be the worst.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
In the NBA.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Lebron's the worst Lebron. I don't know, man, I think
Luca's overtaken him. You think I think so it's every
single time to where like he's on the ground and
you know he's there. There's a four on five happening
the other way because he's sitting there complaining to the officials,
and then like like some of these like if we
(15:50):
can talk about breakdown, every single foul what he fouled
out on.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
Was a foul. It was a foul, And to this point,
I almost feel like, because it's Luca, it was it
was the best decision to challenge it, even if even
if he said to do it or not to do
I felt like it was close enough. You take a chance.
Well you had to lose, right, But then you get
another situation where it might have been a challengeable city
(16:18):
like that that you could have challenged. There was one
situation until I forget what it was, but you had
no challenges left to even challenge it. So it's kind
of the moving screen not that. But I don't know
if they would have overturned it, but you would have
had a challenge to do it. I don't I don't know, man, Listen,
came down to that hell of a run for the Mavericks.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Uh it is to here.
Speaker 1 (16:40):

on our after show called Overpromised.
Speaker 10 (18:05):
Well, if you don't get enough Covino and Rich, make
sure you check out over Promised and also uncensored by

little harder. It's gonna be the best after show podcast
of all time.

There you go, over Promising. Remember you could see on YouTube,
but definitely join us. Listen to over Promised with Cavino
and Rich on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever

cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,
Jonas NOx with you here. Come it up in twenty
(18:35):
minutes from now from the tire rack dot Com Studios.
We do have a reason behind one story in the
world of sports was broken a little.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Bit early, all right, So now we know why.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Now we know what the strategy was from some people
involved in it. We'll get into that for you again.
Coming up here about twenty minutes from now, our friends
are listening on the YALLAHRN of the Twin Cities on.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Cape Alahorn, Minneapolis and School Ragnar all the Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
So they've got they've got a decision that has been
made their starting quarterback as they get ready for training
camp coming up next month, which, by the way, I'm
so happy training campus.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
That sounds good. But the MAVs and the Celtics are
boning us right now.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
That's all right, you know, at least it'll last, it
will last very long. But the point is the Minnesota
Vikings have made a decision. Here was their head coach,
Kevin O'Connell telling the media about the decision and the
starter at quarterback, which will be none other than Sam
Darnold coming up for training camp.
Speaker 11 (19:51):
I would say, Sam, you know, Sam would be you know,
the guy I would look to based upon the spring
he's had and really where he's at his career in
his quarterback journey and what he's been able to do
coming in and really you know, hit the ground running
and really kind of take advantage of a competitive situation.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
So good to see Sam Darnold.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
This is probably actually the best situation he's been in
outside of San Francisco, where he didn't really get much
of an opportunity. But when you go from the Jets
to the Panthers, so anything's in you know, an uphill
or trending in the right direction for him in Minnesota.
But it looks like he's going to be the guy
there for training camp over JJM.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
Yeah, and we'll see if that changes depending on how
things look in preseason games. And it's kind of another
example when they talk about taking away preseason games that
could help a rookie, in this case overtake a veteran
or vice versa, right if the rookie's not ready, you
can kind of see right in those games because there
(20:54):
are there are many I should say many, but there
are a handful of quarterback competitions that are going on
right now that will be decided through what training camp
looks like.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
In the preseason games, and if you're a team that drafted.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
A first round quarterback, whether it's JJ McCarthy in Minnesota,
Bo Nicks and Denver whoever would have thrown into the conversation,
even though I think, you know, Washington's gonna have Jade
Daniels be the guy.
Speaker 6 (21:17):
We all know.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Kate Williams is the guy. In Chicago, Drake May is competing.
He's another guy in that conversation. Those preseason games give
you an indication of how he's going to handle the
regular season. So when when you give him the opportunity
to go in there, it's it's like, all right, like
you take away one of those opportunities a little harder.
I think of the coach, you know, to eventually get
a censor feel for where he's at. I also will
(21:41):
go ahead and say this Sam Donald coming out as
a prospect, Well, it was a better prospect than JAJ McCarthy.
Damn Well, and it's that damn It's just if you
look at what Sam Donald did. He brought Southern cow
last Roseboll victory they've had last Pack twelve championship back
(22:02):
when the PAC twelve was the PAC twelve. Ye Like
when you think of it, by the way he lifted
up that program at a time when you know you
can make the case it was, at least from what
Southern Cal folks will tell you, at the end of
a Clay Helton tenure, where was in a state of disarray,
you had homeless guys catching punts and practice. I mean,
(22:23):
that's the reality of what Sam Donald was dealing with.
Any was quarterback there yet still in a Rose Bull
still in the Pac twelve, like and Riley hasn't done that.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
They haven't done that since he left. And so as
good as JJ McCarthy's.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
Track record has been, I think when you go back
and you actually think about Sam Donald as a prospect
out of Southern Cow, all the things he was doing
to uplift that team, as compared to what was the
knock on JAJ McCarthy, it wasn't asked to do a lot.
You had ar you arguably the best offensive line, one
of the best defenses, one of the best running backs,
(23:00):
and he made plays when he needed to.
Speaker 6 (23:01):
And I've defended him for that.
Speaker 5 (23:03):
But when we were talking about prospects based on what
Donald did coming out of Southern Cal with JJ McCarthy,
I can guarantee you Sam Donald was higher rated when
you're looking at prospect evaluations and so Sam Donald's a
guy that you know, I know. It didn't work out
with the Jets, and it didn't really work out for
anyone in Carolina, nor has it continued to work out
(23:25):
after that whole thing. Didn't really get much of an
opportunity in San Francisco. Now he's in Minnesota, which is
a good situation for him, and he's gonna have the
opportunity to prove that he was the player that he
was originally drafted to be. And so I'm kind of
excited to see what this looks like I told you
guys last year, like I was kind of excited to
see what would happen if he got more playing time
with San Francisco because the guys I talked to and again,
(23:48):
call what you want.
Speaker 6 (23:49):
It's not trying to make controversy.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
When they were sit there and watch these guys warm up,
they're like, Sam Donald's got the best arm of the
quarterbacks that were in that roster last year. Like the
ball comes out of his hand, different comparison, you know
who's there now. Those are sorts of conversations that guys
have a scouts. So it really comes down in between
the years. Can he get to a place where he
needs to be to play a high level.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
I'll defer to you on this because I just feel
like anytime a guy comes out and he's been around
this long and he hasn't had a more significant impact,
the market has spoken in my estimation. Now, I agree
with you. He was a hot prospect coming out of college.
He was definitely dope in college. There was a lot
(24:34):
of expectation that was on him, and rightfully so. And
if you feel like he has the talent and the
ability to lift this team, I mean, it definitely has
the pieces in place for a guy like Sam Darnold
to be able to in some cases, resurrect his career
or maybe get it off the ground to begin with
(24:57):
in some regards. So I'm I always tend to be
more on the cautious side when a guy hasn't and listen,
it was the perfect storm to have a crappy start
to your career. I mean, it just it just was.
And and so it's hard. This one is a hard
(25:19):
one for me to gauge and measure because I don't
feel like any any quarterback is going to fix what
the Jets got going on right now. I don't feel
like any quarterbacks going to fix what the Carolina Panthers
have going on right now. So, just like the wasteland
of other top draft picks, of crappy teams that are
(25:41):
out there, my name included, I just don't think that
it's it's this is the first time he has a
team that has the opportunity to be a competitive and
a good team, I mean the best. There's two there's
two things that that you to me that are great
(26:02):
safety valves and and one of them is your running
back and them adding Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones and my estimation,
I think he's he's the most dynamic running back outside
of Cemac in the league if he's healthy there I
mean Alvin kamaras in the conversation, but Aaron Jones to
(26:25):
me is one of those guys that he can give you.
He can give you that that safety and that that
comfort of knowing that we can we can get warmed
up and get going and get some positivity going in
this game by just getting him the ball in in
the flats or in the flares and and work things out.
(26:46):
Second is a tight end. I'm not sure who is
there tight They have a pretty decent tight end, don't
they say, Hell, yeah, that's a that's a dope tight end.
So to me, he's got the two men ain't ingredients
to be able to set to set himself up to
make it make it difficult for for JJ to get
(27:07):
into the rotation playing if he plays it the right way.
So I wish him the best, you know, everything I've
ever heard about him. He's a really really good, good
dude and and just he's one of those guys that
got caught and in the crosshairs of bad culture. He's
gone to two bad culture cultured organizations. He got in
(27:30):
with one, but he didn't get the most, you know,
most opportunities in San France. So I'm curious. I'm curious
about this one. I'm not down on it. I'm not
I'm not going to say I'm I think it'll be
short lived, that that he has the job and JJ
McCarthy takes over. But I will say, regardless of what
(27:51):
his circumstances have been, if you've been in the league
as long as he's been and you haven't been able
to establish yourself yet, I'm not even sure. I mean,
I probably have to have a research team where I'd
have to try to look it up, which I don't
want to put that type of time in to try
to figure out what it would be, but I don't
I don't know how many quarterbacks have had this type
(28:12):
of a start to their their career and then ended
up being successful at this point in their career.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Geno Smith, I think would be an example of some
Yeah it was, it was, did not go well, he
was a backup, kind of floated around, then finally got
his opportunity and you know, ended up taking the job
and having a pretty good, you know, so far, a
pretty good run, and we'll see what happens this year.
I just like the part about this that I kind
(28:38):
of feel bad for Sam Darnold is that he cannot
afford to struggle very much because if he has a
bad start or a bad half or something like that,
immediately it's going to be like, all right, so when
are we going to see JJ? When's he going to
be It's almost like he not that he has to
be perfect, but he's got to be pretty damn good
(29:02):
and any sort of faltering at any point. And all
of this is because they drafted JJ McCarthy high, and
we've seen Sam Donald and the quote unquote book has
already written, even though it was written by a couple
of crummy authors in Carolina, New York. Like, that's the
part I look at this and I go, that kind
of sucks to where your margin for air is so
(29:22):
small that you can't afford to slip up at all.
Otherwise there's gonna be calls for the rookie that was
drafted in the first round. And it just feels like
it's one of those matter of when, not if JJ
McCarthy gets the opportunity. But you know, at least Sam
Donald'll be thrown to uh, justin Jefferson, which always helps,
and there's weapons there, so yes, there is fair to
say that he's got a good supporting cast around him,
(29:43):
but uh, I mean that really doesn't matter. Also, by
the way, they're finishing last in that division. Anyways, I'm
just again.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Saying, yeah, I believe.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
It is this the year of Jonas Knox sports teams
actually showing out. I mean, the Celtics, now the Bears,
I've he comes.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Still, God they are bad and it doesn't matter if
the Bears are that good.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
God blessed Caleb Williams man, he is going to be.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
They could be could be keep those gonna like.
Speaker 4 (30:21):
The King, but if he don't get it right, he's
going to be like Rodney Can.
Speaker 6 (30:27):
Don't say that.
Speaker 5 (30:29):
And beat his ass, kind of like the Carbon San
Diego Rockepeller group.
Speaker 6 (30:36):
Dude, I was. I was laying in bed laughing about
that last night for two reasons.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
One, someone had tweeted it and saying that they couldn't
get the song out of their head, and I was like, yeah,
it's it's really catchy. The second was just thinking imagining
you taking all five of those guys off, and the
guy who uh doesn't where is Carbon? Said like that guy,
he's the one that looks like he might be tough
deal with something about it.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
I'm getting right in the throat.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
Yeah, Steve.
Speaker 1 (31:07):

the Lap guys. A little bit of a follow up.
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Hey, Brady Hayley, how was uh delivery Wednesday?
Speaker 12 (33:29):
Delivery Wednesday was solid. We watched a little cone in
the Barbarian.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
That's not all I did.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
We did.
Speaker 6 (33:36):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
What was I drinking yesterday?
Speaker 12 (33:38):
It was squirt pineapple juice and gin.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
Yeah. By the way, I was thinking something else until
you cleared that up. I'm glad you jumped right on it.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
You know what, uh the in laws do at the
Christmas Eve party? They do squirt and tequila. That's like
a big one there.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
Well, yeah, that's what we usually do.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
I think we did too much last.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
Week so that we had to switch to Gin.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
By the way, what's on TV right now? Is it
Cannons the Barbarian? What do you guys want?
Speaker 12 (34:03):
Machete kills, Machete kills, Cannons, Musha take kills.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
With Danny Treyhope. By the way, I went to Trey
host tacos once.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
How expensive was it?
Speaker 6 (34:18):
Well?
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Expensive?
Speaker 6 (34:19):
It was awful.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Yeah, my buddy literally spit out the salsa in front
of the GM at the.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
Table we were drinking a little bit.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
It's not a great not a great.
Speaker 5 (34:30):
Look sounds like a really cool guy, man Cannon In
case you missed it, all right, Lee, what come man?
Speaker 2 (34:39):
Well, guys, a little bit of a follow up from yesterday.
Speaker 12 (34:41):
Of course, we heard about Joey Chestnut being banned from
the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest coming.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Up of course fourth of July.
Speaker 12 (34:48):
Okay, perfect, yeah, exactly, perfect timing for Netflix to announce
that they have a documentary coming out called Unfinished beef
chestnut versus Kobe Yashi on September second. It's going to
be following Kobe she mostly as it leads up to
the mL some kind of eating contest live streaming hot
dog eating competition on September second.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
Thought two of them, yep, I mean that's where I
think that's pretty smart.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Well, and it's also why again, I didn't know what
MLLE was Major League Eating.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Brady clued me in on that.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
It's also why they came out and got ahead of
the story, and we're like, well, you know, he's not
going to be a part of our event, and he's
got a sponsorship opportunity.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
It's like, no, you were just trying to downplay.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
What you had coming up around the corner, which was
this Netflix special which I'll be on.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
I'm more likely to watch this than I would the
other event.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
On July fourth, So I'm not going to watch either
one you want. I think it's a smart play. Though.
It's Labor Day, come.
Speaker 5 (35:47):
On, so we're gonna sit around and watch someone else eat, Yes,
that's the I don't even want to do that on
my own kitchen table set. I mean, the only people
I want to see eat my life on my children
who've had a terrible diet and will not eat the
right stuff. Oh god, that's the only that's the only
folks I have. I do not care about someone else
gorgeous themselves with a hot dog in one hand and
(36:09):
a bun dipped in water in the other.
Speaker 6 (36:11):
It actually, actually it makes me want to not every year.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Like I've I've gotten to the point to where every
time my son asked for a cookie like no, like,
if you have a cookie, you're gonna get fat.
Speaker 6 (36:22):
How much would you charge one of those people to
use your crab closet? Dang all, like minimum?
Speaker 2 (36:29):
Like great question.
Speaker 6 (36:33):
You have to think about the damage they could create. Yeah,
plumbing what that that's carpentry.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Were we have a we have a one and a
half crab closet house, And so I would say if
it was upstairs where the shower is probably less if
it's but if it's downstairs where it's just the one
crab closet and you feel like you're in an airplane,
I mean.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
At least one and a half one hundred bucks every
ten minutes.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
What happens if like, well, I guess it's only three
of y'all.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Oh, like if we have people over, what do you like, say,
say you have outside the corner. Okay, that's that's the advantage.
Have an outdoor plumbing, that's always an option, all right,
that's always a go to.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
So all right, what else we got there?
Speaker 12 (37:21):
There's a communal commode by the pool that's near my
my unit that I sometimes need to use because I
only have one.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
That is interesting. Lee and I a little a different life, man, Yeah,
I wouldn't want to live there.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Like LaVar's got a Levar's got a coy pond, He's
got the works at his house. He's got bears that
hang out and eat because it's so spacious. Lee and
I have to, like, you know, turn the sholders to
take a dump.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
That's crazy, man, I'm sorry for you.
Speaker 8 (37:52):
What what?
Speaker 4 (37:53):
What else we got guys?
Speaker 12 (37:54):
During an interview on the Club five twenty podcast this week,
Anthony Richardson talked about why he thinks, you know, his
time in college might have been even more difficult than
his time with the Colts.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Take a listen see.
Speaker 8 (38:05):
Playing in the NFL. I feel like it's easier in college,
for real, because like in college you got like you
got players. That's like they're good. They know they're good,
but they're not as confident, you know what I'm saying.
They got to rely on other players to do this
for them to do that. But in the league, everybody
trying to work to stay in the league, you know
(38:26):
what I'm saying, trying to keep their job. Everybody's trying
to ball out for sure. That just let me know,
I ain't gotta do too much. I just gotta do
my job, yeah saying, And he gonna do his job.
It's gonna work.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Anything to that is it easy. I'm gonna just say,
stay off them drugs, my man.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
My man's played four games so far, and I was like, oh.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
Hey, leave them drugs alone. Home go Yah, I will
go ahead and jump.
Speaker 6 (39:02):
Sounds like that was an issue there, Florida, Baby, they
got some second.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
It sounds like that might have always been the issue.
Speaker 5 (39:10):
Someone actually make the opposite case that when during Florida's heyday,
if you will, that they were so talented that's what
made it easy because they were just that much more
talent than everyone else.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
But God, those Florida rosters back in the day, Javan Curse, Jacques,
Chris Doring, Mike RUTLEYE, Matthews, good Point, Dang, Danny Warfole,
