Game five comeback win over the New York Yankees and
just what their season looked like a little bit more

(00:21):
difficult than I think a lot of people realize. We're
also going to have a discussion about what became very easy,
far from difficult for the Indianapolis Colts, and that's who
they're going to be playing at quarterback, moving forward to
a spitting back add a lot of the.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Critics out there.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
We're also going to have a discussion, well kind of
about the NFC South matchup between the Saints and the Panthers,
and it was such a good discussion that it was
hijacked by a report that Michael Jackson beat up Tupac.
That's a real story. We're going to get into that
for you here. We're also going to have another edition
of Quinn's Wins. We'll throw a parlay party. We're going
to hand out an Award on this show, and the

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Sure how about that? Shut up out? What do you mean? Hey?
Bar is a scary man? Yeah, shut up? He was spook.
Both of you kissed my ass? What's wrong? Oh? Come on?
They have a little fun with it. No, why you're big?

(02:16):
That's right there you go, not in the move for
you guys.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I'm joking because the Doyris come on out of applause
for the Los Angeles to.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Uh was helping a little hell from some play the
Yankees Jonas talking.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
He's out there doing they let him down, like, dude,
run to the run to the base.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, oh yeah, that was him the fly ball on
center field.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
That was him that didn't run to the first base. Interesting.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Yeah, they sure do love highlighting judge, don't they.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I mean, he's he is big, dude, he's almost too big.
He's almost too big to be a baseball player.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Yeah, dang, show hey looks like a guy dang cyborg
when he goes.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Up the back. And he's big too. He's not little
at all. Yeah, he's not little.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
And he just has like such a nonchalant face like
he's he's looking at the picture. You know what I
noticed too, Like I'll be trying to see little things.
He gets his timing of what the picture is doing
while he's warming up, like he swings, like he does
his timing of his swing off of the picture.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Throwing this pitch.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, in the on deck circle. Yeah, the deck like
that common, that's really common.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Ago.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Yeah, I'm not a baseball guy, but I like the
fact that I saw it, you know, I was.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
I was impressed with myself.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Like I always felt like, I mean, have you seen
how they put like the additional weights on the bat.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yeah, I knew that I did the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
But it's the combination of getting because when you obviously
get up there, it's it's very jarring when you hitting
against the guys throwing in the nineties. I never hit
against anyone throwing the one hundreds, but we had guys
who used to throw in the nineties, and the ball
gets on you so quick. You have to mentally pump
yourself up and make your hands feel so fast that

(04:16):
when you're when you're in the on deck circle, like
swinging a heavier bat and then trying to feel the
rhythm and timing of that. I always felt like helped
me get there, Like it helped me get my hands
fast enough to the baseball to.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Be able to do that. But yeah, it's it's it's
pretty common.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Oh, yeah, it was. It was a fun game to watch,
just to see all the ups and downs. And then
you know, the Yankees took a lead late and you're like, Okay,
well maybe they'll survive this, and it was like, Nope,
just not happening. I wasn't wasn't there night, wasn't their year.
It was all about the La Dodgers, uh. And it
was all about the guy who won the MVP slam

(04:52):
dunk no doubt, Freddie Freeman getting the award on Fox afterwards.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
After every saying that you've gone through this year.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
How special is this, this whole thing, winning it all
the MVP to you? This is this is everything. I'm
telling you. I wouldn't be here without the support of
everybody in these shirts tonight. It's been a grind these
last three months, but this organization Stan Andrew, Brandon, doc
my teammates, my family, It's it's been it's been a lot,

(05:26):
and this is this is it right here?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Not this that one, that one, but at about that's.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
What at about?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I mean he was already the favorite after the walk
off in Game one, and then he just continued.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
To mash, just mash, is that what it is?

Speaker 7 (05:43):
I mean?

Speaker 2 (05:43):
He almost runs last night, he did, like they're just like,
all right, here's another one. He's like, no problem. I
just kept kept going. Thought they were going rough out,
the Yankees were going to run away with it. I
was like, wow, this got ugly quick.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Yeah, yeah, it looked like early maybe they could.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Garrett Cole, by the way, did address the fifth inning
also the lack of running to first afterwards. Here was
his back and forth of the media.

Speaker 8 (06:10):
Just a wild inning. I mean, they made it tough
on us. Just kept putting the ball in play and
grinding out pitch after pitch. It felt almost, you know,
at the end of it almost felt like a win
to just you know, not really give up the lead
and you know, be in a position to keep going.
So boy, that was tough one though.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
What was the impression of what happened at first day?

Speaker 8 (06:31):
I took a bad angle to the ball. I wasn't
sure really off the bat, how how hard he hit it.
I took a direct angle to it, as if to
cut it off. I just didn't know how hard he
hit it. And you know, by the time the ball
got by me, you know, I was not in a
position to cover first. So I mean, you know, I mean,
neither of us were, you know, based on the spin

(06:53):
of the baseball, and him having to secure it and
and and you know, just a bad read off the bat.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Garrett Cole all right with me, man, he looked exhausted
at that.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Dude. Bruh, he went out over one hundred.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Yeah, come on, man, it's the first time somebody has
done that in the World Series.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Come on, man, dude was out there three years.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
The bitches wasn't slow either. He was hitting ninety nine
every single time. I'm like, dang ninety nine. He was
hitting ninety nine every time.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
With location like it like knew where he was throwing
it every time.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Crazy man. Yeah, it was. I hope he knows where
he's throwing it. Yeah, funny while probably if he doesn't,
you know, it was.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
No, that's a lot of And I'll say this about
the Dodgers, Yeah, Jonas, so they Why is there not.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
A more excitement from from our crew behind the scenes?
I mean, Lee, Lorena, Eddie is there is knowing that
exact I know, Roberto is excited.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Eddie's got his hat on, so he's repping. Eddie's got
his hat on Lee. You know, he just makes sure
he knows who Lee ISPs trying to get the podcast done,
and so he can hang out for a bit before
he I think, I think, and Lorena has her cow
cow deal going on right now, so she's just SE's

(08:08):
in Halloween.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I think Eddie's also a little bit upset to see
what happened to former Pittsburgh pirate Garrett Cole last night
and that unfortunately.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
I mean, come on, guys, flex on everyone, this is
your moment. This is that moment in time. I mean,
I mean nothing, Jonas, you got nothing, I.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Mean, what what do I got? Like, Hey, they won
the World Series? Congratulates that's l A, bro, That's how
you know he's a Cubs. That's not true, l A.
You can bring up the Cubs like, I don't know
where this comes from.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Like I'm because you're from Mamoth. That's the point.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
You know, if I could get a couple of tickets
next season, then you can help me out.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
There, maybe, you know, Ben depends on depends on what
we got.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
But you know, what are they going to do with
the Yanks?

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Like is there going are they going to run it
back with the same team or are they going to
look at that fifth inning and be like, yeah, we
got to make some chance. Apparently I heard they made
those type of mistakes during the year too. Yeah they
were some costly Yeah, some sloppy defensive play.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Wan Soto's a free agent.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I don't know if he'll come back because he's going
to be really coveted by basically everybody who's looking to
spend money. John Carlos Stanton like health wise, just can't
seem to stay healthy. Their bullpen was a disaster at times.
I don't I think it's more likely the Dodgers back
because the one thing about the Dodgers is, yeah, they

(09:31):
you know the payroll, They've got all the talent in
the world, like the top three, I mean, Mookie Bets, Freeman, Otani,
like all those guys are Hall of famers. But this
was a flawed team and they went through a lot
this year to even get to this point, like whether
it's starting the season out in Japan, then having to
go back to spring training. In the midst of all that,
you find out Otani's interpreters a degenerate, flunky gambler. Yeah,

(09:56):
right now, I don't know. I'm probably steal more money
from somebody. So like Freddy Freeman water well, well.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Bet way, so does a free free agent, right Torres Verdugo.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
All those guys are free.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
So yeah, that's why I think when you look at
this and you go based on what the Dodgers went,
Dodger though, well, and that's not.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
A big deal in baseball, right, It's like it's just
you pay, you pay.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
If you go through their roster this year, like all
of the additions they brought it and Yammoto dealt with
injuries this season. Glass now dealt with injuries this season.
Mookie Bets was out for a long time, Otani dealt
with the injury. Freddie Freeman dealt with the injury, his
son got sick. Like the bullpen was shaky for most
of the year. Then at the deadline they make these

(10:41):
two moves. They bring in Jack Flaherty and they bring
in Tommy Edmond who hadn't played all year because he
was coming off surgery. Edmund won the NLCS and Flaherty
ended up with a couple of big performances. He wasn't
great last night, but a couple of big performances for him.
So I think the front officer deserves a ton of
credit because they just kept staying in it and then

(11:01):
at the deadline made a couple of sneaky moves that
ended up paying off.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
So good for them. Man. So with all that being said,
do they run it back? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
And and I think they're gonna be better next year
because because assuming health wise, guys like Glass now and
everybody is ready to go. I think they're gonna be better.
But the Yankees have to figure it out.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
I don't think the Yaggies will be bad. There's a
lot going on, but at least that fan base is
going to handle it well. So close, huh, you know,
close because they got there. It didn't feel like they
were really that close at all this series. So close
that they got there, that's that's yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
The Boogeyman for the Dodgers was the Padres when they
got and they can call him little brother all they
want when.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
They when they got I've been watching a show on
Netflix and I'm a killer. Yeah you've seen it. It's
like documents people that are in jail that committed murders,
and the one I saw yesterday do was called They
called him the boogieyman. Oh yeah, yeah, he's a piece
of work. He was a piece of work. Oh he

(12:06):
bro as a stone cold killer man. I mean he
was shanking cats, you name it. He's just one of them,
like Manson type looking dudes.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Nice. He's like, I don't care about anything else and
just a killer.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah, it's Halloween, so anyways, that's making Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Literally, I'm never gonna watch that seriously. Oh bro, it's
an interesting series. I'm not sure why you want to
watch it.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
I'm intrigued by crime. I like solving crimes and stuff
like that. Sold like I like, yeah, but I like,
you know, watching it and getting it from my perspective.
I mean, I am a black man, you know what
I mean. Sometimes things could be like misconceived or misinterpreted
or I just like to watch and see did I

(12:54):
believe that it happened the way that it happened. I
like to work through it on my own, you know.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Especially serial Killer you referred to white or black. He
was white. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
I was gonna say, don't you try the serial killer
though you try to take that from us, don't take
that from I was.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Gonna say, when you when you think about all the
crazy psycho guys, usually white guys, just put it out there.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
You don't tell me wrong. Yeah, top Brady off topic.
Let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
This is a big year for US corner Cornerbacks, serial killers.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
We're back, Brady, You're okay? Tell me I'm wrong watching
the show, do you.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
There were more white people on there, and there were minorities,
there were some but the truth, but they even had
some Puerto Ricans on there too, though, I mean there
was thereful what.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
You know, you can't see that, you know, I can't
say Puerto Rican I don't.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
You just can't take the trash out.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
You know, people are driving around in a carbage.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
I mean, who didn't know that was going to happen?
Have we seen this, LeVar? Do we know what the
context of what we're talking about? No, I'm gonna say
this so it can be factually correct, so people on
the on one side don't get all butt hurt.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Joe Biden came out made a comment. I heard he
made a comment. Okay.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
He had since come back and tried to correct what
he had said, which some would say, if you have
to correct what you initially said, then obviously what you
said beforehand was indeed what the other side it was. Yeah,
so he essentially called supporters of one candidate garbage, came
back out correct himself. However, that got legs and as

(14:43):
the Internet does what it does, then created a bunch
of you know, videos and different things went viral, and
of course the specific candidate he was referring to then
had a garbage truck he was driving around in yesterday.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
You're talking about Trump.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yeah, it's pro wrestling, man.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
It's gotten to the point now where it feels like
pro wrestling.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
I heard he's not going to state college. Now he
is not. He will not be there, which is the word.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
I believe.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Maybe he feels comfortable with Pennsylvania and so he's got
a campaign in another state, but he will no longer
be at the Ohio State penn State game. I think
if he was going to go, from everything I had heard,
it was just going to be for the first half.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
So yeah, I heard it was going to be a
mess if he was there.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Like well, that's the other concern I mean personally that
we had was the additional security surveillance that's needed as
all that, and there's a chance that you know, people
had flights who are trying to get home couldn't get out.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
So yeah, yeah, it's a lot there.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I mean, if he would have tried to get into
the Stick City tailgate.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Would you have let him in? I mean, why not?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Everybody's welcome. If Joe Biden was there, the other uh,
the other person was there, Harris was there. I mean,
anybody's I.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Don't know why.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
I can't help, but I just picture Shane Gillis's impression.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Man, who's the the comedian he does? Joe Biden? Uh,
who is it?

Speaker 3 (16:18):
I just picture those two on the roast that they do.
That's all that's all I can picture right now.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Yeah, it's uh, it's a wild time. But congratulations. I
have to make sure security was, you know, good to go.
If I had anybody like dignitaries and politicians come through
there like that, you know, you know, we just be
chilling over there.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Do you think Trump would have walked in with a
linebacker you t shirt like Lee and I didn't or what.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
I don't know. Man, we showed support, I mean it
would be possible. Stick City is a place, man, Hell
yeah a place.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
How close does the Stick City tail gate to the
big new kickoff set?

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (16:58):
It's close, it's close. You just gotta walk right the
long No, No, it's close. Like it about it. You're
right in front of the Bryce. You're like right, I
know exactly where you guys are positioned. You're like right
in front of the museum across the street. I'm right
across from the opening the main entrance of the stadium

(17:21):
at the baseball field. So we're we're like kind of
like right like a straight line from one another, like
literally like maybe with the people walking like two minute walk,
two minute walk, yeah to the Bryce from Metler or
Metler to you know, Bryce to Metler, Metler to Bryce.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
Yeah, so I might come check you out. I might
come to I might come see you, you know what
I mean, come by, man, might I might just come
like you know, like you know, bring a water gun
and shoot you in the back of your head or
something like that. There you go, then walk away, you know.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah, that's family front and tell you I love you,
you know your I think you're watching too many of
these shows.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Yeah, yeah, you know, you just never know. You might
turn around now and you might be like, was that
LeVar And it really was somebody else, you know what
I mean. Just make sure it's me before you get comfortable,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Could be Yeah, two pros and a cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Radio LeVar.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Arrington, I just caught on to what you just said,
watching too many of them balance shows.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
So we do have a water gun.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
So we do have some Quinns wins coming up on
this show. We're also going to catch up with our
guy Albert Breer. We're gonna throw a parlay party and
our three as well too, and we've got Lee's leftovers
to close up shop. It's all yours on this Halloween
edition of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe on
Fox Sports Radio. But apparently a move that was made
in the NFL. This wasn't just short term, it was

(18:50):
long term. We've got the evidence of that right here
on FSR.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
Yeah, be sure to catch live editions of Two pro
Was in a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington,
and Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am
Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (19:10):

That's expresspros dot com. So we are going to have
some interesting commentary for one quarterback in the NFL because

(19:33):
he's talking to you.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
He's talking to yo.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Ass No way find out if you were one of
those people he's talking to. Coming up here in about
fifteen minutes from now. Shane Steikin was talking yesterday about
the decision to go with Joe Flacco at quarterback over
Anthony Richardson. That was something that we had discussed here
on the show previously. Over the last couple of days,
the report came out that the decision was made that

(19:57):
they were going to go with Stiken over and or
they were going to go with flat go over Anthony
Richardson here with Stiking discussed stike In discussing the decision.

Speaker 10 (20:06):
Joe will be our quarterback going forward. Tough decision, but
what I felt was in the best interest of our
football team. Feel that Joe gives us the best chance
to win right now. With that being said, not giving
up on Anthony by any means really not. He's a
young player with a ton of talent, you know, and
he'll use this time to continue to develop and grow
as a professional.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
So I feel like I heard this before. Dang. Was
that was that Xerses talking about Zacher? Was that? Dang?
I don't know. I feel like I heard this from
Did this come out of New York? It was that?
The was this the Jets? Is that the wrong sound?
Okay has got a resume?

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Man, I tell you what, Yeah, some bodies, this can't
be good for For Anthony Richards, it just can't be.
I don't I don't know that it's it's all the
way bad. It just saying nowhere near good is what
I would say. You can have it from there, Q
just quarterback talk, but it can't be in terms of

(21:07):
the confidence in you as a player. Just can't be
good if this is where you're at after being a starter.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
I said this yesterday and I'll reiterate some of the
sentiments after a rookie season if you aren't solidifying yourself
as a starter, which few do you know?

Speaker 1 (21:26):
CJ.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
Stroud's rookie season was probably comparable to only maybe Dan
Marino as far as him bursting on the scene and
absolutely dominating with his style of play.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Most I mean, Jade Daniels, you can make the cases
doing some of that this year.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Most rookie quarterbacks, it's more up and down, and there's
still the sense of, like, Okay, let's see what they
develop into a year two, and you hope they make
that big stride or ear least strides, you know, in
the right direction. Not only did he barely play because
of injury outside of a few flash plays, there was
nothing that you felt like you could hang your hat
on with Anthony Richardson based on his rookie year going

(22:08):
into year two similar issues. I mean, Joe Flacco has
to be signed in the offseason because you lost your backup,
and you know you need a backup because of the
injury concerned with Richardson, and of course he gets injured,
they need Flacco. Flacco comes in, there's a touchdown pass
first play. It's just it feels like there's a lack

(22:28):
of understanding from Anthony Richardson that in no way, shape
or form, has he been able to solidify himself as
their guy, as their franchise starter. And he needs to
be doing everything he possibly can on and off the
field to fix that so that they view him as

(22:49):
the guy. And I think Shane Steicher was at a
tough spot after what happened last week, because when he
makes a signal to tap out, you know, we don't
know how many people probably notice that during the course
of the game.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Now afterwards, once the media.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Gets ahold of it, everyone's looking at Shane Steig and thinking,
how are you going to react to this? Because next
to the head coaches, the quarterback viewed as the leaders
of the team, and you know there's gonna be offensive lineman,
defensive lineman, other players who are concerned with this because
they're looking at his position saying, we've never seen this

(23:28):
before in our life. I mean, I literally can never
think of a time pee wee football, high school, football, college,
NFL where a quarterback had tapped and taken himself out.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
I've never seen it.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
I'm sure LeVar Jonas, it's probably similar in your life span,
like where you've never seen a quarterback take themselves out.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
It's so rare and so odd.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
I think it caused for a lot of concern with
guys who are older, veteran players who are leaders, who's
watched that and go, that's not right, something's off here,
like you need to fix this because there's a lack
of understanding of the importance of him being out there
every single play and clearly there's a disconnect. So again,
I don't know if this is a wake up call

(24:13):
from Shane Steichen or if this is him essentially saying like,
I don't know, like maybe this young man doesn't get it.
He's gonna have to learn and watch for a while.
Maybe we can clean up some things fundamentally in the meantime,
but we don't feel like he gives us the best
chance to win if he a can't stay healthy in

(24:34):
the first place, but when he is healthy, is simply
tapping himself out because he's tired or fatigued, And that's
not the message I want to have from my quarterback
out there for the rest of our team.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
It's ah man.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
You know, you look at situations and you want to say,
is a moment in time where there's a lack of
maybe clarity, understanding, maybe even maturity that's connected to what's
taking place? Is it something that you can address without
it or being this level of of a response to it.

(25:11):
Because I think you touched on it a little bit yesterday,
Q when you said what type of damage does this do?
You know, potentially to Anthony Richardson, Richardson, Richards Richardson, I
just rich Richardson Richardson, I just uh, I just wonder,

(25:34):
is this one of those moments where you have to
exercise a different hat other than the coach, because again,
these these guys, these young guys these days, they interpret
things differently, they internalize things differently. They they're just different.

(25:55):
It's a different type of kid there there. Their compass
is different there, the direction of it is different than
what older versions of of football players and and just
older versions of people. It's just this kind of natural
evolution of of culture and society. I just wonder if

(26:18):
this is one of those moments where if if it
truly is just purely based off of a bad decision,
which I mean, I don't know that it's a decision
that it might be more of what what he thinks
he thought that was right and he didn't look at
it as being something that would cost him his starting job,

(26:40):
or is this a bigger is there a bigger issue
with him? Did that just bring to light some of
the bigger issues that are taking place with him behind
the scenes. And I just wonder if that, if, if
it is just that that led to this decision, should
there be a different hat being put on here by
the coach, and it's not necessary for a coach to

(27:04):
have to do that. But in some cases, we all
know that coaches wear different hats. That's what make the
special coaches special. A coach that just coaches, that's a coach,
but the ones that are special, that have lifelong bonds
with their players and lifelong bonds with the families and
people involved, they wear different hats.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
And we all know that.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Sometimes it's a father figure, sometimes it's a mentor, sometimes
it's you know whatever, a counselor. But they have to
be able to come and go from the different hats
that they have in matter of moments. And I just
wonder if this is one of those situations. Was this
the easier way out to just say we're going to
play Flacco or is there something more here?

Speaker 1 (27:50):
To me?

Speaker 4 (27:51):
I feel like there has to be something more here
because this isn't an elite team. It's not like you're
one player away from being a super Bowl contender. You
might have the best chance of winning with Flacco in there,
but in the long term, is that what's best for
you and your team? I just feel like there's got
to be something more to it than just that decision.

(28:13):
Maybe that just brought the awareness of it to the forefront.
He's got ten starts in his career.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
He's left four because of injury, and then the other
one of the other ones, he decided to opt out
on a play because he was tired, and he hasn't
played well since he's been there. And they're better with
Joe Flacco in the lineup, just like they were better
with Gardner Minshew in the lineup last year and they
almost made the playoffs last year. I think Stichen's probably

(28:40):
looking at this going, dude, like, I mean, we gotta
go here, Like there's probably a lot of people there
that are under the gun, like Chris Ballard's been there
a long time, Like there's been a lot of dysfunction there,
there's been a lot of turnover there. And he's probably
looking around going, we don't have time, Like we can
make a run of this thing and be a playoff team,

(29:00):
but we can't do it on somebody that we can't
rely on. As the old the best ability is availability.
Guy's not available.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
You know what's interesting, guys, when you think about it,
what's the one owner name we hear in the media
so much outside of Jerry Jones.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Uh yeah, Craft. We haven't heard anything.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Craft but that place. You'll hear that place shut down.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
You'll hear about Craft, but you don't really you don't
necessarily hear Craft's voice. You don't hear you stupid Bobby orchids.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Damn you said it.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Hey man, we're not hearing anything from the ownership. Jim
Irsay is one. He's come out and and he gives
his opinions. He'll tell you how he feels about things.
We haven't heard anything.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
He's been a little more quiet this year. He did
have some health issues early. He did he did that.
I'm not sure if that plays a role in it.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
And maybe it does, but I haven't heard anything. And
and that could be it or it there could be
the eye of like you got it to do it.
We're not going to meddle in it. So let's see
where it goes. This could be one of those potentially
those are this is one of those decisions where it
probably does dictate whether he maybe maintains his job or not.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
I'll say this though, that throw that Anthony. I don't
care what happens the rest of the year. That throw
he made him Week one is the best throw of
the season.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
No, Jaydeon Daniels got best throw. I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
What's his best throw of the season. Uh no, No,
not Anthony richards Ja that the one they just won
the game with. No, the throw by Anthony Richardson. I
don't know that many quarterbacks. Actually, where do you throw
it from?

Speaker 1 (30:41):
What do you mean? It's like he threw it off
his back foot sixty yards on a dime? It was
how far was that he was getting hit? How far
was that that? Hell? Mary like sixty it was? It
was sixty plus, but it was with a crow hop
and a running start.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
Well, we gotta have opinions. I like Jaydon Daniels's throw
of the year. That's the best throw I've seen.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Anthony richards throw is one of the best throws I've
ever seen in NFL history.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Anything like it. And that's probably what is so frustrated.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
That's probably what's so frustrating to them is they look
at that and they go, it's there, like he can
do this.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
It's not consistently enough. But and that's the truth of
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
I'm about to say that you can think about this.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Goes, Yeah, this goes for every position. It's not where
your ceiling is, because everyone's got that like high end
or the ability to play in the NFL. Like if
they didn't have the ability to play in the NFL,
they would be there right there. It's it's your floor.
How high is your floor and can you get your
floor close enough to that ceiling or can you get

(31:45):
that floor high enough on a consistent basis that even
when you're not playing at your best, you're playing at
a level it's high enough to be able to maintain
your status in the NFL. It sounds weird to look
at it that way, but that's the truth. That's really
what the NFL is about, because it's about consistency.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
It's a major indictment on him to give bench like
this to the point that you're making, it's a major
indictment on richardson Math. It really is. It really is
because of his floor. His floor was not good enough
for him to maintain the confidence of the coach and
the coaching staff. That's an indictment on him. However you

(32:24):
want to think, however you want toss it, that's that's
that's an indictment on him.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
I think the tough part about this is he's ten
games into his career and starts just ten and you're
at basically the halfway point of season two and they're
making this decision. It's not a physical thing. He's healthy,
he's able to play. I don't even know if it's
necessarily because of the way he's played. It's it's more

(32:50):
of maybe again the statement and what he did last
week where it's like he doesn't get it, and that's tough. OK,
that's probably tough for eveone to witness and watch.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
You can have a quarterback being it, can't get right,
can't do it, can't win with them. If it's one
position you cannot have a can't get right, it's the
quarterback's position. It sounded like, man, that's one instance. I'm
telling you. It sounds like it's like that was the
end of it, Like that that totally confirmed it all,

(33:20):
Like that's the last straw of it. We've been dealing
with this, Like we're gonna go with the consuonment professional.
That's what it sounds like to me.

great morning, awesome morning.

Guys.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
In case you missed last Hey LeVar, Hey guys, in
case you missed this. Of course, Hey Brady, you missed that.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Can we talk about how it's Halloween and last year
you you actually went trigger treating?

Speaker 8 (35:04):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Well, I didn't. I wouldn't say I went. I went
walking through the neighborhood, grabbing bags, jacking.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
For bags, and there was what were candy bag check homie.

Speaker 6 (35:14):
There was one bull of candy that was on the sidewalk,
and I helped myself to a little piece of candy.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Stupid. No, but they opened Did you dress up? No?

Speaker 2 (35:23):
No?

Speaker 4 (35:24):
You remember he said he was walking around at street
club that and that that was his costume.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Though that was his costume.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Yeah, but Lee, you said that you grabbed the candy
and the person opened the door, and you're like trick
or tree?

Speaker 6 (35:36):
Trick or tree. I didn't say tri or treat That
is hilarious because he caught me off guard. There's a candy,
you said, a little piece of candy. Yeah, caught me
off guard. There was a I think he was the
dad or the father figure of set house was right
there at the at the walkway.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Didn't see him there, like, hey, o hey, trigger tree.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Interesting, you have a lask in your back pocket?

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Of course, who goes trick or treating without a flask?
A great point. What else we got?

Speaker 6 (36:10):
Yeah, I got to figure out my route this year,
maybe not to go to that house again. Guys, in
case you missed that twenty eight to twenty seven victory
by the Cardinals over the Dolphins this weekend, you might
have missed that botch snap that resulted in a safety.
Well to a take of my law had some was
asked about it yesterday at his press conference, had this
to say.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
I have pretty good vision, I have pretty good hands.

Speaker 7 (36:30):
I mean, I'd like to see a lot of other
people go in the back there and try to catch
that ball too. It wasn't Bruce's best, and Brew knows
he can get it better, but it wasn't my best
as well. But I'm just saying to give perspective you know,
it's not as easy as what it looked like, sitting
down on your couch eating chips.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Oh wow, wow, Yeah, he's getting tired of it.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Oh yeah, everything has to do with concussions now, anything
that happens, it's because of his concussion.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
Right for him? Yeah, up for yourself. I ain't mad
at it. For him.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
You want to mess with the Hawaiian, you'd have to
deal with the wrath afterwards the way I do, Like
why is it chips?

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Like what is it?

Speaker 2 (37:14):
You know, Like, isn't there a more insulting thing like
donuts or ding dongs or candy.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Like white chips?

Speaker 2 (37:19):
You know, as you just assume everybody's taking that route
watching a game mooze maybe
