It's gonna be running routes in between these and like
they're gonna be like windows in between zone defense.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
I like it because we don't have any defenders. There's
no one here to defend.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
People were very rest with Lee's performance yesterday and the
throw which was on the money.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Uh, the throw was crazy.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
He had he had that like get away from the
cops speed.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
I look like crackhead speed, you know That's.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
What I'm saying. Like he had a little bit of that, like.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Surprisingly like he got up on.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
His toes and he took off, but he said, hey,
he was surprisingly fast.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Okay, I mean I felt bad for the guy who
was covering him because the guy who was covering him
is a Browns fan.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
He works like I think he works as part of the.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Brown He was so honored to meet Brady, only to
see Brady's receiver put him in a blender that went viral.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
You know, Lee has a lot of practice having to
get up all of a sudden and go if you
think about.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
His personal Yeah, so I never looked at it that that.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
How many times do you think he has been awoken
by someone, heyofs and chaos.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
To get out of there the crowd.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
He's out, he's out, He's out. Next back to the bar,
your phone.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
That's why he's got to go back at all times.
I never thought of it that, Trust me, I.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Thought a lot about this.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Buddy would have fell down, man, I would have been
through it. And it was close. Yeah, it was close.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
It was Can we quit a great dinner last night
with the Fox Sports radio family for I had an
awesome time with you guys.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
I'll say this, Big bro LeVar was holding court and
the first thing I thought in my head.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I am glad I was not a rookie with LeVar
going to some of this rookie.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Did because I was like, man, this dude was the
rack up one l of a bill.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
If that was the case, it was, I did no,
I ordered everything.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Well, it wasn't just that you were just having a
good time, and I was like, man, I could see
him really enjoying this if it was like a rookie dinner,
really trying to make him get you.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Know, I got a lot of rookies. Yeah, yeah, it's good.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
I'm sure that you got got those a rookie as well.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I got hammered as a rookie.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
That was that day and age though.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, I got hammered.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
I mean there was easing, there was you had certain things. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
I mean I remember one of my buddies who played
for Denver when he got drafted there, like the.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
Old line didn't talk to him. He had to earn
his keep.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
I could earn his way onto the actual roster after
training camp, and then they finally talked to him.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
I mean, it's just like there were.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Certain unwritten rules that you abided by, and I was
just that was football culture and I'm not saying that
that it's it has to be a part of football culture.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
It was, it was, and it's not there anymore.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
No, it's not there at all anymore.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah, last night was good though. Shouts out to Julie,
don Scott, everybody that was there. Don met her. Ja
Jade's hare crazy. That's Aelebarty finally showed up the MVP.
You know, she used to always be around us and
we used to always come over together. And you know,
(05:08):
she got the white Castle Queen. She's too big league,
too big time for us now. But she's here today,
So there you go. She's here. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Also, I would like to say this that I don't
know what you guys did to Lee after the show yesterday.
Oh I don't know if there were celebrations that were
being had, but I was unaware of what breakfast was
yesterday in which Lee said he ripped three hurricanes before
(05:39):
what time? We talking like ten am? You'd polish those off?
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yeah, I saw you midday.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Yeah, I came down to lunch. You said you had three.
Here's the problem is, I left, I ate left, and
then you guys said you had a couple more. We
did because LaVar and I had a very intimate talk.
We did passionate all of those things happened.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Wait that was Monday, though tes yesterday?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
No, yeah, that was yesterday.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Okay, you're right, hey, Lee, today's Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
It is Wednesday, so we uh.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
I called him like, hey, mom, gonna want to go
get something to eat.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
It was like one o'clock. I'm like, I want to
go get something to eat? You want to go? He goes, yeah,
I just need like ten to fifteen minutes. All right,
no problem.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
I know it was lunchtime because they had the lunch
menu and Jonah said, get the chicken sandwich, and that's
what I got.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
And you're still there, by the way, was I telling
the truth about the chicken sandwich?
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Was awesome if you haven't had that.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
I'm a little sweet heat, a little sweet heat. So
it's about today.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
So Lee and I walk over to this place to
get some Poe boys, and I noticed like he seemed
a little off.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
But I'm like, well, you know, he just woke up.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
There's no way, like I can't like not even And
then I come to find out he had had the
hurricanes some bad boys hitting yeah so hard that he
blew chunks.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Oh gosh, that is life of le man. Like wait
a second, he goes, He goes, yeah, man had to.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
So we get to the place and he gets a beer,
but he doesn't realize you ordered a double ipa. He's
like things, oh gosh, this is eight percent and he
just continued on had a beer. We had poe boys.
I will say this, the pole boy means overrated.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah. Yeah, it's like, uh, things be overrated man. People
like both things so out of proportion, like oh, when
you get there, you have to have this, like you
have it and it's like what makes it so? Like
there's only been like I can't recall maybe a couple
things that that jumps out at me. Have y'all ever
had bon chon chicken. It's called bon chon that is
(07:56):
highly highly highly like it delivers, it is on point.
If you ever It's like I think they started in
New York or whatever. I don't want to be incorrect
and with yes, I didn't want to go because I
was definitely about to say a different one. I was
gonna say Japanese.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
But it doesn't come from where Okaw.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
No, it doesn't come from Okawa. It doesn't come ok
now is not it's not where Bonchan comes from. But
I knew that much every time. But but it delivers, man,
bon chicken like when they say when when they say
you gotta get bonch if you ever get an opportunity
(08:39):
to get bonjon wings, it's like the they're the greatest
ever the goats. They are the goats of wings. That's
about it. There's a couple other ones that kind of
you know, I can think of, but bon Chan is
the one that comes. It delivers every time.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
I thought, you guys should know, I thought this morning
smelled a little different walking around. Okay, still you're in
still have a urine walk here? Yeah, block and miles
heavier weed. That was the difference, poor weed.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
As we're getting later into the week.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yes, right, yes, right, So what does that have to
do with, you know, consumption?
Speaker 1 (09:13):
I mean, you know, just the wolves are out man. Yeah,
further you get into the week, you know, the more
people get here, the more people get here, you know,
the wool you smelled, the weed you.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Heard, by the way, I thought it was really nice.
It was kind of cool to see. As we were
having lunch yesterday, I looked down on one of the
corners and there was you know, some young kids selling
boxes of candy.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
I thought that was like a really they told you
about this first? Who told you about that? They told
you about this? I was with you and go yeah, yeah,
oh yeah, yeah that was that was security. It's just
get to see work ethics still matter. I actually, yeah,
that's crazy, man. They seeing if you tap in, if
you give it cash or if whatever, like do you
(10:02):
have any money at all? I wonder if the NFL like, hey,
what are you willing to give up? As soon as
you as soon as you do that charity work, no
more than two minutes later you get stuck up. Yeah,
that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Pocketed, but get back the heat car. Does the NFL ever.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Look into that and go, hey, where we're gonna have
a uh, where we're gonna have a Super Bowl?
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Ats as safe as the city. What's the murder per capital?
Speaker 6 (10:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:34):
I did so.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
I saw that, and there was there was a couple
of them just kind of kind of looking thought oh wow, yeah,
that's about.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Not trying to right on anyone's parade. I would just say,
be very safe out there, Uh, be vigilant.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Make sure you's going to the court. Yeah, today's a day.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Yeah, here's the thing I don't get Lee. You said
you don't. I mean, you obviously are.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
A target because you're you're waltz around at times by yourself, and.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
You're white exactly by the way, no disrespect.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
You don't look Russian.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Yeah, white boy like that big so like you don't
have many things working for you not getting jumped.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah, white boy, he just look like you. You know,
you're like there he is. That's I'll be honest with
He's the one I want to give your white as.
That's the that's my warm up work right there, the
face of somebody.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Pay well, hell you you're all invited.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Guys want to go to the quarter with your with
your white ass.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
And I just want to say, I walked around the
quarter by myself in the early dusk of morning and
I did not get murdered.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
So if you're one of them, Lorena, Lorena, you was
walking around there, they was like, hey, did you get anything?
And did you get anybody? Where are we going to eat?
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Where they are there.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
They're probably thinking that the dude you're with has the money,
like there, that he's the target.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
That's who there what they're probably thinking. But I was alone, Yeah,
That's what I'm.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Saying, Ray, Ray ahead, No beads next time? Yeah, no beads.
Did you wear beads when you got here?
Speaker 5 (12:20):
Me?
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (12:21):
I earned some.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Oh gosh hey, uh he wants to fall over that?
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Anybody, any takers, anybody.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
I would say, is what is what is the conspiracy theory?
What is the conspiracy theory?
Speaker 4 (12:42):
Oh wow?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
All right, well listen, now we transition smoothly out of
that over to over to some other NFL over to

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you here and apparently Jay two finally Geez finally, Jay
take it over the stage. Yay finally makes time for
us on a Wednesday, and it's decided to takeover Radio
Row here at this hour. But we are live here
from New Orleans here for Super Bowl Week in New
Orleans coming up in about twenty minutes from now. In
(14:45):
another edition of In Case you missed it, somebody has
decided to walk away. To walk away in the NFL.
We're talking about a Super Bowl champion that'll be yours
here on FSR.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
So apparently the the.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
NFL officials and the Referees Association executive director, they're talking
to them. They called it insulting, stop talking them preposterous.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I have nothing for you to say that the officials
favor the chiefs.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
They've come out in total defiance, it's true denial of
all this stuff and have called out these conspiracy theories.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
And here's my question.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
I don't recall them ever doing this when people were
saying the same thing about the Patriots, But for some
reason now they feel the need to come out and
defend themselves. And I don't know if it's the gambling
aspect that's been infused into the league. But it's a
little weird that Roger Goodell has had to speak about
(15:45):
it now.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
They've had to speak about it as.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Opposed to being like, look, we get majority of the calls, right,
we missed a couple of calls.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
For the most part, we do a damn good job.
That's what they say.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I mean, no, that's why why wouldn't you say that?
Instead they come out and they call you know, they're
they're speaking out against these allegations. I mean, it's to me,
I felt.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Like there was a consistency in how things went, you know,
this year and how games were called, you know, some
some calls. Again, I've gotten to the point now where
I look at how referees called games and you you
get to a point of where you go, Okay, this
(16:27):
reffing crew is going to allow contact. This reffing crew
is going to allow holds like blatant holds. They're going
to allow you know, physical you know, tackles, an extra
hit on the quarterback. This crew isn't They're not going
to allow for you to you know, hand hand tussle,
(16:51):
hand wrestle while you're downfilled. This crew isn't going to
allow you to graze, the face mask of the quarterback.
This this crew isn't going to allow for those things.
So I think that instead of people making it such
a priority to complain, bitch and moan about referees, I
(17:13):
think that you look at it as it's almost like
the show Running Man. Y'all remember the movie Running Man
with Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's like you could try to go
through the maze and get to the end of the
maze and know that this is my opponent that I
got to try to beat to get through the maze.
But there are other variables that are playing a part
(17:35):
in your success of getting through the maze. At this point,
why keep complaining about something that here's a news flash
for everybody out there. You do know, they've never gotten
rid of the referees. They're still there. They fired some,
well they'll fire, but they will replace them. There's gonna
be another one there. So the variable is there, the
(17:58):
variable of whether you like the call. I never saw
a team that a fan base that got the call
complain about the call. And I never saw fan base
not complaining about, you know, the call being the wrong
call when it goes against them. It's just how it works,
it's part of it.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
I want to reiterate a couple things or one thing
that I said yesterday that I think it's true. But
the NFL has been hesitant to implement new technology in
a major way into.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
The sport, the same way baseball has.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
For example, when I think of you look at, for example,
challenging that the strike zone, that to me is kind
of revolutionary in some ways. You know, you go look
on social media, you'll see accounts of just absolutely dogging
umpires for like bad pitches, bad goals.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
You didn't really see that anymore.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
You get the opportunity now to kind of see whether
or not it was in the in the frame, in
the zone, the pitch clock, et cetera.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
We talked about tennis, you.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Know, their ability to look at you look at var right,
which is actually the video replay system in soccer.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
You have all these different things.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yes, we have a replay review, but we don't apply
it to everything that we could in an NFL game.
And so I don't understand exactly why there's a hesitance
to do that for the NFL. It seems like we're there,
and it seems like it's a struggle for the officials
to want to give up that responsibility on the field
and the power that they have. The next thing I'll
(19:25):
point out is there is no other sport where you
have that many players and the ratio.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Of players to ress it's greater.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Than three to one.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
The NBA, for example, also has three officials ten players,
so you get better than three to one.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
The difference is the.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Size of the court and there's not quite as many
people who are moving around.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
And I also make this it's seven second increments. Like
you talked.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Yesterday, bar about how fast these plays are. There's you know,
if you're on offense, you've got about sixty five plays
a game and seven second bursts. So you have to
be able to see all of that in seven seconds.
And it's hard in real time with the naked eye
to catch all of it, even when you're trained to
do it. So they're going to make mistakes. And it's
(20:12):
one of the things that I just I don't get
why the NFL won't push more for a way of
reviewing things.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
And I don't want to use college football as an
example necessarily.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Because I know that won't entice the NFL to make
a change. For some reason, they're like those two leagues
hate giving credit to one another. But college football is
in a better replay much better than the NFL. The
review process, it's faster for the most part. Still some
slow crews, but for the most part it's a much
better faster process than the NFL.
Speaker 4 (20:44):
And so I think those are two of the biggest issues.
Though the lack of one to make the technology is
part of it.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
But the biggest arena in field that seven officials have
to watch twenty two guys amongst I mean, hell, even
the sidelines and everything else, everything that's going on to
be able to do their job. And it's not easy
to do it, but they get it right ninety percent
of the time.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
You've seen so many You've seen plays like the New
Orleans play where the pass interference took place. How does
how does New York when they say they go to
New York to get there, How does New York not
see that and make sure that's a call? Like? There
are going to be moments in time, especially for me
(21:24):
when I watch games, I'm the worst person to talk
to about because I would say it. You have to
call a holding penalty every single play. So if you're
calling it. If you're calling it fairly and you're calling
it the way it's supposed to be called, you are
going to call a foul every single down. So it's like,
(21:49):
how do you find the balance of that was a
that was a foul, but we're not going to throw it.
That was a foul, but we're not going to throw it.
It's you know, it's.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
An interesting question, and I think the way I've been
told that they're taught or instructed is if it had
an impact on the play, which is is tough at times.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
It's one of the reasons why I think it feel.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Like you hold me, you impacted the play because I
might have made the play. I don't know that I
might have made it, but in my mind, it's you're
making everything. I'm making the play. If this son of bitch,
what didn't hold me, I'm going to have a chance
to make this play even though it didn't look like
I was going to make the play, which wasn't.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Which what I was getting to is, if it's if
it's you're on the backside of an outside zone, run
left the backside.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
They hold you, or something.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
As a whole, they might say, well, it didn't really
play a factor in the result of the play.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
However, let's say that running.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Back stops and cuts back. That's why I think you
see sometimes officials too have a delayed fly. They wait
because they want to see whether or not that had
an impact on that play.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
There was a there was a catch for a touchdown,
and the referee, well, there were no referees. There was
no referees, but our fine law enforcement they were around.
Somebody needed to get handcuffed as bad as that looked
out there, But I think we did get some handcuffs
offered to us to get it to LEAs.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
In fact, we asked forcuff.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yeah, do you have a breath No, we.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Got a breathless dude. I mean he's not driving, he's
just walking, but drunk.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
While walking, walking intoxicate.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
You'll go to tell you can do a field sobriety
on it if you want, Actually that would be that
might be what we need to field SOBRITI with him.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
No, no, yeah, I get it, But you know, I
just I just always feel as though, when when you're
looking at these type of matters and these type of
issues that are part of the game, it is by interpretation.
It is by interpretation, and you saw that like he
caught the ball. I don't remember what game it was,
(23:56):
but he caught the ball in the corner of the
end zone and the ref had the flag and was making.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Sure to see the outcome of the play, making sure
that it was a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
That's that's where it gets a little, you know what
I mean, Like you're watching the ref look at it
like it's still threw it, still ended up throwing it,
but he caught the ball. Like he caught the ball.
It was a touchdown. But it was like, what are
you waiting so long to drop the flag for? Like
in my mind and and like you said, okay, if
(24:28):
it impacts the play, I get it. But the guy
caught the ball, So why did you drop the flag?
You know what I mean? Like I'm just sitting there
and so many times you see the game and it's
like you know the rules of the game enough to say, Okay,
maybe that is or maybe that isn't. I don't know,
but it just it gets so it gets I just
(24:51):
feel like the waters get so muddied and trying to
figure out referees that you need to just stop because
all you're going to do is run yourself ragged. They
are going to make calls that impact the game. I
think we all know that there's going to be a
call that impacts the game.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
So you mentioned the technology aspect of it, like why
is the NFL so resistant to accept the technology? Roger
Goodell on Monday was asked about that. You give an
interesting response. It is complicated.
Speaker 7 (25:19):
Obviously, you have a lot of humanity that interferes potentially
with some of that, at least on from a camera
angle standpoint. But you you know, you also have a
shape of the ball that is different, and it's about
where the ball is, not where the individual is necessarily,
so their combination of factors are there. But I do
think that technology will exist sometimes in the future. We're
(25:40):
continuing a lot with our partners, is how to advance
that as quickly as possible so we can get to
that place.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
So that's him discussing Reverend Goodale. Yeah, Reverend justin Gooddale.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
It can't be that difficult. It can't.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
And the idea that there's a lot of bodies that
are in the way and it's the shape of the football,
come on, man, Like with everything they've been able to do,
like camera angles with you know, zooming in pylon cams,
Like you don't have the ability to be able to
better measure straight down the line or over the goal
(26:19):
line when something's a first down or a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
It just like it doesn't make sense have.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
The technology to do. I just I don't know why
they're not implementing it.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Huh.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
I mean think about it.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
That's one was bad too. There were some bad spots.
There's some bad spots this year.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
I mean think about for example, have you guys seen
the Alternate broadcast where they've got the I guess you
call them avatars where it's like playing the game, but
they're like cartoon characters. No, no, so sort of the
broadcasts have kind of done it where they have like
the cartoon characters or whatever that are actually running and
act against the players. They use this different you know
(26:56):
kind of AI technology that is able to track the
players based on all the GPS and everything else that
they have. I mean, you can do it. It's not
that they can. I mean there's gonna be times where
technology fails you. I mean, last night the TGL if
you were watching them, the ball tracer went out. That's
tough for a sport that heavily relies on that. But
you know, that's the thing is you just have to
(27:18):
have things that are implemented in in the event that
technology doesn't work or if you're let's say, for example,
the spot because everyone's talking about the spot AFC Championship game.
So you you go with what you see on the field,
but if there's a review process, you have a chip
in the ball, or you have you know, whatever it is.
Maybe it's that the GPS and so forth, and you're
able to kind of track where his body was at
(27:38):
a certain point and use that to collaborate with where
you think the ball was in the.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Spot or the still shot of the video.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Here's the other thing I want to ask you guys
about and tell me if you believe that this is plausible,
because I think it is.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
That's a penalty, and I think it's just that's going
to be a play. Yeah, that's going to earn a play.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
You like that?
Speaker 3 (28:00):
I think, Hey, that photo brought up a lot of questions.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Is that that's going to earn you a flag? Now?
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Hey, all I'm saying is that's like, all right, is
that your wife?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Well, listen to that man won a Super Bowl. Here
you know, so everything's fine. Here's I want to ask you.
This is a natural reaction when you're a human being,
and it's the over correction. If you've got official well,
if you've got officials and you've got Roger Goodell having
to discuss and having to push back on whether or
(28:40):
not the officials favor the chiefs and calls, is it
not a natural human instinct for them to want to
make it obvious on the biggest stage. No, we're definitely
not doing that, and maybe the chiefs start getting this game.
I think that's a natural human reaction.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
I really do. I think you have to try to
make sure you create some type of balance and understanding
how the games are going to be called going into it. Like,
I just think that that's the fact that the referees
came out and has statements, the fact that Roger Goodell
(29:16):
continues to to fill questions on it. I mean again,
gambling has become such a major part of the sport
and it's such a tremendously large new revenue stream for
the game that if you don't address it, how how
(29:39):
if you decide you're not going to address it and
it doesn't go the way you would like for it
to go in terms of the amount of gambling that
takes place. How do you how do you recover from that? Like,
what what's the response to that.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
I can totally see an official on Sunday getting ready
to maybe throw a flag and in the back of
my going, oh, that's that's close.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Yeah, and then I'll go ahead and pop that's close.
I better. Yeah, Like, I.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Could just see that being a natural human reaction based
on some of the blowback that they've gotten for.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
Theseus's, it's the Pete Carroll effect.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Man.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
I just think back when they won that Super Bowl,
he would tell the dvs, if you hold and they
call you, they're more often than not. Their study was
they will not throw up the next play, So do
it again, again, do it again.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
He would tell his dvs that, Yeah, I just I just.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Mean, it was like, it's it's human nature.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
The Patrick mahone flop made it so like he made
it so hard he was assaulted.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
That bothered you though.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
It just I just feel like he was assaulted. I
feel like it was the wrong place and the wrong time.
It didn't bother me. It just I just think because
they're the focal point of it like, oh, this is
the bene factor of what's going on with these referees.
And then the dude flop the way that he did.
It was just kind of like, man, come on, like
(31:02):
you did not do anybody any favors back flop in
the way that you did just now. But yeah, well
if you say them flop on Sunday, like, how you
gonna handle that? Yeah, you know it's gonna be.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
I mean, as long as you get a good night's sleep.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
I think that's the most important thing.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
As long as you get that good night's sleep, that's
really what matters most when it comes to officials, players, anybody.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
You gotta get that quality sleep.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
You have to get the quality sleep.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Yes, and look, sleep is an essential for my busy lab.

Hey, warming up? Just have Hey, somebody want to catch

Hey Brady, Hey, guys, In case you missed this.
Speaker 8 (33:35):
After seventeen years, Mason Crosby is finally saying he's officially retired,
announcing yesterday on his show, The Mason Crosby Show. Uh,
all time scoring leader for the Packers eleventh time, eleventh
all time.
Speaker 5 (33:49):
Like I said, seventeen seasons, finally calling it to day.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
It's amazing. How breath you are.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
I mean, don't walk hey, Mason, don't walk away. Now,
Baltimore is gonna need something.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Yeah, I'm just about to say, Hey, man, it's getting
real out here man and he getting ahead of it, like,
let me go ahead and retire.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Congrts though man, congrats to him on a great career.
If this is it.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
I feel like it's hard sometimes for kickers to hang
it up because of you know, tugging or you know
pulling kicks, you know.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
Hooking kicks, looking it.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Yeah, a lot of a lot of various ways kickers
miss kicks. They're always looking for veteran guys who've proven
on the big stage.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
That's that's that's a great point.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Yeah, I think I think it would be better if
he stuck around for a little bit.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
But yeah, I mean I think that's the thing about
kickers is they got to rise to the occasion.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Well, I mean, Justin Tucker has and well we don't
know if Mason Crosby did, but we do know this
he made a lot of uh made a lot of
field goals.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
I mean even until the end, Crosby had a great stroke,
like great follow through, which is why he was affected
for so long. So I'm not sure if that applies
to everybody.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
You know, it's some of those kickers too. They tend
to you know, keep it cut it close. You know,
he puts it right down the middle.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
Yeah, tang yeah, yeah, never and and never too early,
always like uh right on timing the spot, the snap
all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
By the way, he never has a problem of getting
there to get the job done. He'll finish and that's
a hard job, it is, Tang.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
Is what else we got guys?
Speaker 8 (35:19):
In case smiss it, The Dallas Mavericks are offering refunds
to fans who want to get refunded for their season tickets.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
I told you, man, the conspiracy theory behind what is
happening in Dallas, I think is gaining steam.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Do you want to hit it now or do you
want to all right? Yeah, because it's it is interesting.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
It is interesting.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
Look, if you're a season ticket older, I get it.
But it's not like you got scraps this year. I
actually think Dallas is going to be better than the
Lakers this year. I mean I think I think they'll
like this is going to pan out record wise, Dallas
will be in a better spot than La will.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Did you all see the video? Sure they gotta worry
about Did you see the video of a d and
like the warm up to shoot around and they they
were like doing their little like routine and stuff like
that was bouncing around and Ad was like standing there
looking at him like he was the outside guy looking in.
It was a pretty interesting video. Man. I wonder if
(36:21):
there's going to be a meshing well of a d
and in Dallas. I think more so will a d
mesh in Dallas versus will Luca mesh in in La.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Who's got a better record post trade, Like when both
of them get on the floor.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
When it's all sit and done. Luca, Yeah, I think
he's gonna be Luca. I think Anthony.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
I think the Mavericks have a better recellent Lakers with
the addition of Anthony Davis show. I'm not saying right
now because they're behind in the standings, but I'm saying
from this point, end of the season, this point, yeah,
moving forward, better record with the addition of it is
he on the court, No, neither of them on the court,
so I understand.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
But Luca hasn't has big an issue with injuries as ads.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Anthink Davis got issues and injuries.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
No, not able to stay old street clothes, not able
to Uh.
Speaker 4 (37:16):
You're the one who called him glass man or maybe.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
I called him mister glass. Yeah, Chuck called him what
do you call him street the street clothes Davis guys
thirty one, They act like he's fifty two.
Speaker 8 (37:29):
What else you got Lee, Well, guys, for those Maverick
fans who got that refund, maybe they use that money.
Speaker 5 (37:34):
Come down to the big easy, go to the big game.
Speaker 8 (37:36):
We've talked about ticket prices for the game. It's come
down a little bit. Cheapest for getting is forty seven hundred.
It was at sixty three hundred this time. Lest wait
to get closer to the game.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
I'll come down. Most come down more.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
Huh Yeah, most expensive is twenty nine thousand.
Speaker 8 (37:50):
They say on the secondary market, three or four days
ahead of time is the best time to buy.
Speaker 5 (37:54):
But yeah, I will dip on game.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
The secondary market because they're trying to get rid of
the same.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
So that they say that's when it did whatever to
the good old days where you could just scalp, you
know what I mean, walk right into the stadium tickets, tickets,
got tickets, and the next thing you know, you're you're
walking in with a pair of tickets.
Speaker 4 (38:12):
And that's you never scalped tickets?
Speaker 1 (38:15):
What do you scalped?
Speaker 3 (38:15):
The guy is always out there advertising that he needs
to but he's got and then you know to go.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
I'm aware of that.
Speaker 4 (38:23):
You did not explain that situation.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Ticket younger listeners, Ticket never experienced.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
It's the tickets.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
I need tickets, need tickets, and he's got tickets.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
I'm I'm looking for tickets.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
I'm looking for tickets, and he and then you come
around the I'm looking for tickets, start negotiating.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
You start to do the old uh, the old garage sale.
I never trusted that tickets. Ready to talk about.
Speaker 4 (38:45):
You're not going to talk about the money people?
Speaker 1 (38:47):
A little bit of your tickets. It's a topic for Saturday?
Speaker 6 (38:51):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Tave it for your show?
Speaker 2 (38:53):
I had I saw somebody pay a fortune for tickets
and got off Craigslist to go to a Bears and
and they walked to the front and it didn't work,
turned right around and they couldn't get their money back.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
You know, bought tickets on Yeah, they were morons.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
Who buys tickets on craigs People.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Were buying farts and jars from craigs list. Damn crazy.
We talked on everything.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
Yeah, that's about that story.
Speaker 5 (39:19):
I could have made good money.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
Wow, yeah you could. What do you care what I
do with my dad?
Speaker 3 (39:24):
They were girls. Farts, not yours, not men.
Speaker 5 (39:27):
I got famous farts, man, they'll sell.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Oh god, that's disgusting. Oh lee in the jar?
Speaker 5 (39:36):
Well, guys, in case you miss it, what's a jar?
Speaker 4 (39:40):
Damn, I don't.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
I don't want to hear any more.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
I want to hear
