the NFL Draft inching closer. Pete Prisco's gonna stop by
for red ass Tuesdays with Pete. It's gonna be a
fun ride here for the next three hours. Kawhi Leonard's back.
Dison up the Denver Nuggets last night, even in that
(01:38):
series at one apiece. How the hell we feel in area?
Speaker 3 (01:42):
They did? Yeah, that's Clippers, man. They're not out of
it yet. Nope, no they're not. Don't write them off now.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
I don't got them getting out of the first round.
But they made it a game last night. Son them
and they did it in Denver.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
So in Denver.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Yeah one in the Maleha go for New go for.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
They needed it. They have a chance, they needed it.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, it's uh, you know, now we've got we'll get
to see the Lakers coming up later, and you know,
I feel like we're in full swing. So we're gonna
get NBA playoff games every single night for the next
two months basically. So, uh, that was that was a
fun one. The Pistons beat the Knicks last night.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Cad Cunningham's a stud and Detroit even zat series. So
they'll send that back to Detroit. And by the way,
Detroit has been one of the more entertaining teams to
watch all year long because you just never know when
there's going to be a dust up. They're similar to Houston,
so that should get a little bit spicy there between
those two teams. Also, So fun stuff last night, and
(02:48):
then you know the gift that keeps on giving. Nico Harrison, uh,
the GM of the Dallas Mavericks, the guy who authored
up one of the more puzzling trades in the history
of the sport. He spoke yesterday and he talked with
the media about his decision to trade Luca, and he
(03:11):
went on to reveal that he was not aware of
the impact that might have on the fan base there
in Dallas and was asked a very pointed question in
the middle of the conversation.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
I did know that Luca was important to the to
the fan base. I didn't quite know it to what level.
But really the way we looked at it is, you know,
if you're putting on the if you're putting a team
on the floor, that's Kyrie, Clay PJ, Anthony Davis and Lively.
We filed that's a championship caliber team and we would
(03:42):
have been winning at a high level and that would
have quieted some of the outrage, and so unfortunately we
weren't able to do that. So it just continued to,
you know, go.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
On and on, why shouldn't you be fired?
Speaker 6 (03:54):
One?
Speaker 5 (03:54):
I think I've done a really good job here and
I don't think I can be judged by the injuries
this year. You have to judge from totality from beginning
to end. And so I think I have a really
good working relationship with Patrick. I think you had in Rick.
The leadership that we have is really elite. And you'll
see next year when our team comes back, we're gonna
be competing for a championship.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
So there's there's Nico Harrison as straight up why shouldn't
you be Why should you be fired? By the way,
that's that's how you know that the decision was not
a great one to trade Luca when one of the
questions is, so, why shouldn't you be fired? Like like
(04:35):
not like, hey, so what do you think of the
job you've done here? No, like you tell us why
you shouldn't be clipped after this year? So he's having
to wear it right now?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Can I pose this question? Though? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (04:47):
Why can't we just wait and see how this works out?
I mean, this is a team that went to the
conference finals and the NBA Finals and another season and
it wasn't the play in this year.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
It's like we just like, wait to see how this plays.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
Out instead of just immediately saying this guy stinks, we
need to fire him. Terrible decisions, Like okay, hold on
for a second. Can we see how he builds the roster.
They've been a good basketball team since he took over,
and they've been competitive, granted with Luca. Can we see
what things look like without them next season?
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Like, what's what's wrong with that?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
It's fair because the injuries are not his fault, like
Anthony Davis going down as early as he did. Now
you could say, well, he's had injury history, but all right,
I mean listen, there were there were conditioning concerns about
Luca Kyrie's injury. That's just that's terrible luck. And it
seemed like everything fell apart after that. I do think, though,
that if you take over that job, your goal is
(05:46):
to how do we build around Luca? Like that should
be point one goal number one, and instead it was
he's gone.
Speaker 7 (05:54):
But that's your opinion, you know, you might you might
look at it and say, that's not the guy we
want to build around.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
We'd rather get someone.
Speaker 7 (06:02):
Like Ad to pair with Kyrie, to pair with Claye
Thompson to you know how this is the construct of
what we feel like we need to win. I mean,
the opening game loss to the Timberwolves, what was the
thing they needed the most? Probably a true center. Yeah,
I mean that was at least the recap of the game.
How a lot of people looked at it like, oh,
it would be nice if the Lakers had a true center.
(06:24):
It's not there for them anymore. I'm just saying we
tended to make these hot takes in a vacuum. It's
just we have no patience for waiting to see how
this is going to play out. It's not like I mean,
if that Lakers don't make it out of the series.
Are people gonna be frustrated with Luca? Are they gonna
be frustrated with Lebron? How do you look at the
Lakers in that instance.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Yeah, they're going to judge Lebron more than they're going
to judge Luca. But I'll say to answer your question, no,
people don't want to wait to see because we live
in the now generation and it's very very instant people.
Did you like that? They just people want what they
(07:07):
want now. It's very instant, instant gratification, instant results, instant everything.
And if it's not what you want then because the
way today's you know, generations are being classically conditioned, it's
I need a solution and I want results and I
want it now. And that's you know, I think that
(07:29):
that's what a lot of these gms. It's a lot
of what these owners are facing, it's a lot of
what these players are facing, and we're seeing it play
out in different ways. We're seeing it play out from
the general manager's perspective. We're seeing it play out from
the contract negotiations perspective for the players, the agents, and
(07:49):
the organizations. Hell, we're seeing it with retirements of jerseys.
So it's it's just a very instant, instant time frame,
instant time period we're in right now and just looking
at what took place with Dallas, whether they were going
to build around Luca or not. You know, Anthony Davis
(08:13):
definitely could be considered to be comparable in terms of
an exchange in a trade. It was a mega trade,
one of the biggest trades ever. Question Marks surrounded both
players in some categories. But to say you didn't realize
what the value of Luca was to the fan base,
(08:36):
I would say that that might have been the most
poorly played part of it. To think that you would
get rid of one of the youngest, brightest stars and
out of your organization and think that there wouldn't be
any type of backlash or repercussions connected to just moving him,
(08:59):
I think that that's that's a horrible underestimation of the
value of what type of player Luka Doncic is. So
I think that was to me. Outside of that, I
didn't have anything. I didn't have any problems with what
Nico's you know what his response was, that's starting five
that he named, that is an elite starting five that
is a championship caliber starting five and he has done
(09:21):
a great job. But at the end of the day,
just because you've done a great job, if you make
a decision and that decision doesn't yield you that instant,
that instant bang, that boom impact effect, then people are
going to have things to say because we're now in
a day and age where people are very comfortable passing
(09:45):
judgments on what people's jobs are and how they do them.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
There's just gotta be more to that story with him
and Luca and what do you think it is?
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Well, you're trying to dig in deep here.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
They went, you know, on the surface basically almost fat
shamed the guy after he left his conditioning his cardio
all that it must have been so bad.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
So you're saying it's because he was white? Is what
you want to say?
Speaker 4 (10:15):
A white guy for bringing a black athlete rights?
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I mean, can we run down?
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Can you say what you mean?
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Can we like, can we use that as the headline?
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Please?
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Because you want to talk about views that'll move it.
They had an issue with the man's color. This is
the NBA after all, tang. I just there's got to
be more to what has been reported that as well.
You know, defense wins championships. Okay, but you know, like Luca,
(10:48):
you know, one of the better young talents we've seen
in the league in the last X amount of years. Like,
that's a guy that you would, I'm assuming I want
to partner with moving forward, Like that's the guy you
try and keep and build around ad defensive pieces around him,
trying to and there was no perspective.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
They brought him to the Lakers and now he's the
instant face of the Lakers team that has the face
arguably of the NBA on their team.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
How does that work? So to your point, you're you're right.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
I mean, he's he's got so much cashea, he's got
so much potential, he's got so much star power that
he is now deemed the face of this LA Lakers team.
Why would you give that away? We're not saying that
about Anthony Davis going to Dallas, are we? Are we
saying Anthony Davis is the face of the Dallas Maverick Oh,
that's dax Town.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Anyways, if he is.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
The face, does the unibrow I mean that, how does
that hit you? Guys?
Speaker 1 (11:47):
I'm just saying, does he still have that thing? Ever
going to get rid of it. I think it is there.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
I think it has to be there, saying that is
the face like you assume v and you just kind
of know, like it's not deeper Vendetta, it's I mean,
I mean that's a great there is there?
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Is there anything? Like?
Speaker 7 (12:08):
I feel like that's next to like a booger and
someone's nose that you're like, you want to tell them,
but you can't. The unibrow is the next thing that
you're going, Man, I can't stop looking at it.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
What a gap in your front teeth? That's the one. Yeah,
But there's like a lot of people that that have that.
Speaker 7 (12:21):
Like we just watched the New Captain America movie with
Anthony Mackie.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
He has a gap. Yeah, he has a gap. But
you can't you don't really notice it, So I don't.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
What about what about an eye beard? You ever seen
the people that have those? They got the the hair
that's underneath the eye, like it grows up on the
on the cheekbone. Yeah, that's a real thing. Eyebeards.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (12:45):
You never seen anybody? Yeah, Well, it's like it it's
facial hair in sort of the beard region, but it
grows so high. Yeah, like underneath the U the eye before.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Have you seen what he's talking about?
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Actually have to say, I have.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
I have held you describe you know who gets it
And it's not so much the eye, but it comes
up from the face.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Is is it? Edelman? Oh?
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Yeah, Julian Edelman does.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Yeah, he's got He's got like that type of facial
hair configuration.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Is that just a beard that just grows like all the.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Way up to your face, like like literally your entire face.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I feel like it's a pretty easy get you know,
you just just get rid of it like that.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
All I know is is at the end of the day,
that Uni brow has not done anything to keep him
healthier than what he has been that would have been
outside of outside of I think it does. I think
it's like his kryptonite. I think if he were to
do something with that unrow, he would stop getting these injuries. No, seriously,
(13:58):
I would say, yeah, you're right at this point, wouldn't you?
But wouldn't you wouldn't you say? If if the injury
concerns weren't associated with Anthony Davis, you can't have a
problem with this trade boring any injury concerns about Anthony Davis.
You can't have a problem with this track.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Well, I think they could have gotten more that Like
Mark Cuban, one of his initial thoughts was, you know,
I thought we could have gotten more like there was
like either another first I forget the exact details, but
you do.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Know, Anthony Davis, a healthy Anthony Davis might be the
best player in the NBA. Yeah, I mean that's the
problem to be. It's a big if if he well,
that makes the point, right, if he's healthy.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (14:46):
So I just feel like with artificial intelligence, sweats going out,
like they'll figure it out at some point, like at
the end of eighties.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Career and be all save him, plug him up. I
don't know. I don't know bout that I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
I mean, artificial artificial intelligence just man, like, go sit
in a chair, plug up, you know. I mean, that's
what all these red light treatments and lasers and all
this stuff kind of is.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Anyway, Right, that's a good point. You said light district
Did I say red light treatments? Treatments? Sorry?
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Yeah, red light red light treatment or red light districts
have played apartment. Sure, they have their own treatments. Some
they I mean Bobby Orchids would say they do.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
That is a you know, it is a good point
elon Musk with all the advancements they've made AI wise,
Like can he find like a charging station that some
of these players.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Can just just doc? Yeah, go sit on the sideline.
They got docking stations right there on the satelline.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
O will this get me through eighty two?
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Yeah? Like some uh neo type stuff, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Yeah, the matrix, I'm with you stick it right in
the back of his head.
Speaker 7 (15:53):
I do appreciate that we opened the site when Jonas
wanted to fire Nico Harrison, and I'm just.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Saying, you know, head's already. No, I don't want anyway.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
I will never listen time as somebody who has been fired.
It sucks. I never call for anybody's job. It just
feels like we're getting it. No, I never, never, ever, ever, No.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
What's the worst part about being fired?
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Well, it depends on how it's done.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Have you ever been fired? Yeah, you have been fired.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
Yeah, you get cut cut as far Yeah, how it
make you feel.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
I'm trying to think the first time it happened about
it feels different sometimes, like well I was.
Speaker 7 (16:35):
I was more caught off guard by it because of
the timing of everything, and and honestly had a good preseason,
so I was like, oh okay, and I knew I
was gonna sign like almost immediately, so it didn't bother
me quite as much. In the year eight, That's what
bothered me the most because on the way in when
(16:57):
I talked to the Dolphins of training camp, I had
a chance to go up and go to training camp
with the Patriots. I had worked out with them, and
we were talking with them, and I'm like in the
player's lounge of the Dolphins, and it was a whole fiasco.
Like my agent was flying at the time, so there's
no like he was on like a long flight cross country,
(17:17):
so there's no way I could call him and talk
to him. The Dolphins were trying to sign me, and
I'm trying to figure out, like do I want to
do this or do I want to wait and try
to go up to New England, which at that point
in time, I was like, it wasn't even about if
I was going to make like the New England roster
or not. In my mind, I was like I wanted
to be around Tom. I wanted to be like in
(17:38):
a training camp with him. I wanted to be around
Bill Belichick. And that was when they saw Ryan Mallet.
So there's a chance of like depending on how many
they were going to keep. And I knew the system,
so all those things were lining up to like this
that would have made way more sense.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
And at the time I just got married.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
My in laws lived up there, so it kind of
made sense for our family too, at least for my
wife and I.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
And it ended up working out where I was. I
was living in South Florida, so I was like, all right,
I'll just kind of stay here and do this. And
I knew Joe Filman.
Speaker 7 (18:09):
As the coach, but the general manager at the time,
you know, kind of blatantly lied about just what the
situation was and even the opportunity, which you know, he
was got to get kind of a one and done GM,
which was fine, but when he did it, I was
just like, it was more of like I literally kind
of scolded him.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
I was like, dude, just be a man. I'm like,
we knew.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
We had a conversation the way going in and I said,
and this was not what you presented it to be,
and so I said, I kind of just said to him,
I was like, other.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Players just want the truth, man, I was like, that's
all this is about. I was like, don't sugarcoat I
don't try to hide it, don't do.
Speaker 7 (18:43):
Things for your own selfish needs. I was like, just
presented them what the actual truth is. I was like,
and they'll be able to handle that. And then he
didn't know how to handle that, like someone actually saying
that to him, and he looked like a little bit
like petrified.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
So was what it was? Donald? Do you upset helped him? No? No,
they were They were all fired after that year, So
I don't think helped anyone.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
Yeah, it's always discrontal when when it's not, you know,
that's that's the goat for everybody.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
Which now, now here's what I'll say to the point
of what Joda's made about Nico. What you realize are
oftentimes people who are in those general manager positions or
even a leadership position, they're out of touch with the
rest of us, Like they're not capable of being social
or having like sympathy, empathy, having that eq to be
(19:38):
able to relate to people. So in this instance, yeah,
it's awful then Nico was like, yeah, I was unaware
of how much you know? Well, dude, what how how
could you be unaware of that? At what point were
you unaware of the fact that Luke is one of
the best players in the NBA. He's obviously an international player,
which even comes with more fan fare and just kind
(19:59):
of people thinking this cool. It's not just like a normal,
you know, United States white guy. He's an international white guy.
He's exotic.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
First off, don't act like that's not a real thing. Okay,
is a real thing. It's like Vodi Devo, everyone's dude,
he's so cool. He smokes cigarettes like over there, right
on the corner.
Speaker 7 (20:16):
But the truth is, sometimes you get those leaders in
those positions that do not know how.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
To relate to the fan base.
Speaker 7 (20:24):
They don't understand how it's going to be received, or
even with players like you know, in this case, Michael
Finley taking his beer like how's how's that going to
be taken by by Luca In that instance.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
He must have been a real booze hound. If that
supporo was the one that was then, by the way,
I can't.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Speaking of the real booze sound Lee. How would you
feel if.
Speaker 7 (20:44):
Someone if let's say, if Scott Shapiro try to come
by and take what you do, how would.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
You feel take my beer?
Speaker 7 (20:52):
Yeah, like after celebrating like a great year, or like
a big time event that we pulled off, how would
you my beer to take by your take your beer
from you?
Speaker 1 (21:03):
I offer Scott my beer.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
That's fine.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
You think you could do this? You have a beer, buddy,
it's my beer.
Speaker 7 (21:10):
He's not drinking your beer, and you don't take it
away from you saying you can't celebrate with a beer.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
Yeah, he's insinuating that you're not responsible enough for yourself.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
So let me be responsible for you.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Hmmm, I trust Scott. I'll take Scott's advice. See what
the reason why Lee would allow that to happen is
because I would is because he would have a flask
in his pose.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
I would be so taken back. I'd be so taken back.
If somebody walked up to me manager boss, see, I
don't give a damn. I'd be taken back, like what
are you doing? Why are you touching my beer?
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Luca must have a liver like a corpse for them
for them to walk up and take his beer out
of his hand, like hey, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
It might not even be that bad of a camera.
It might have just been it might have just been image.
Like Michael Finley was aware that the cameras were rolling
and he just didn't maybe that's not the image that
he wanted portrayed for for Lucas.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
I don't think that there was champagne on each other
in baseball, in every other sport, if they if they
win a division, if they do this, he's holding one.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
I don't feel like it was maliciously done. I don't
feel like it was done in an intervention type of manner.
I just think Michael Finley was on some like big
brother type stuff, like you know, like you're talking, the
cameras are rolling, Like let me get that beer off
of you, Like I want to make sure I'm protecting you,
protect your image. Whether that's the truth or not, I
(22:43):
don't think. I mean, we'll know if Michael Finley ever
comes out and says it or Luca says something about it.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
But I think the reality there is.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
Is that I would be bothered no matter what his
intentions were, like, what are you coming into my personal
space for taking away the beverage that I chose to
have at this moment in time, the game is over.
If the game was pregame, I get it, Like, what
are you doing, dude, Like give me that beer?
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Like you can't be drinking a beer before the game.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
I get that the game is.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Over player, Like why are you taking a beer out
of my hand? You don't step your ass away from me,
a grown ass man. But anyways, that's how I would
feel about back to Lee.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Hey buddy, you just take my beer.
Speaker 7 (23:29):
That's that's what I was just gonna say, Scott, Oh
hey buddy, Okay.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Buddy, Aleika doncic.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Likad that fairly after?
Speaker 4 (23:43):
Could you imagine if Leka, who like like was a
former NBA player and he's doing his job, and I
believe imagine.
Speaker 7 (23:48):
That Lee was exotic and not just from California, like
if you was from somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
People be like, oh my gosh, you see the way
he dresses. Isn't that tiny?
Speaker 7 (23:57):
Bahammad does make it different. That's this way about him,
just so carefree and from where.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Yeah, what was your your dominant background and your uh
spit in a tube and send it off test you did?
Oh it was me. It was Irish and British?
Speaker 8 (24:14):
Okay, I thought it was Dutch, but nope, no Dutch.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Irish and British. Huh yep. Interesting, well that explains a lot.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Tracks four liquor store came out as a white piece
of paper.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Ready to drink. Tang. It was a damp piece of paper.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
That Tracks not even Ireland was ready for Lee G
and T Please, I'm sorry, T.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
Like, uh, we don't do it.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Hey, you're you're breathing. You're breathe it all over me.
By wish you go, that's would have been there. I couldn't.
I could not contain myself. I was drooling.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
I couldn't.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
I was almost sobbing, laughing so hard. He's got his
he's got his arms crossed because we're so cramped up
in the four seater in the back of the plane.
He's got his arms crossed. He like opens up one
eye to her as she removes her COVID mask to
tell him to get offer her this Moment's eighty five
(25:29):
and no chance in Algie's still alive after that plane.
And Lee just looks at her and then with his
one eye open, looks back over to me and just smiles. Heyboddybody, buddy.
Unbelievable whatever. That lady, that lady for sure is dead.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Oh goddy.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
In fact, she vanished.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
Not a shot now are taking it?
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Right after the fight, She's like, I've seen enough. Take
me Jesus, take me away, Jesus. Ah. That is rusty
ass man was just breathing all over me.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
I don't want to live anymore.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
And we spelled so bad after we got off that plane.
Ten hours, ten hours of mini bottles and yingling.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Oh no, on the flight back.
Speaker 1 (26:30):

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Did they pulled an out rocket lodge that was not

I think you should address me that way every single time,
maybe every single time, like every single time you're going
to say my name said, just like that? All right,
all right, little trash talk here, Okay, come on, I
want to see how this sits with Lee's rubber ducky
klawn machine friends and by the way, with Lee and
his rubber ducky fans. Cut We were talking to him
(29:29):
during the break. Apparently he's back on the wagon, you know,
and not the meat wagon of your homeboy, but the
wagon of the uh oh yeah, you know, the wet wagon,
the other one.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
You know.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
Maybe he's like drinking again. No, no, you talked about
his lady friend.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Yeah, there we go. Yeah, well, yeah, I never really
thought he left her.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Well, apparently he didn't think he did either, even though
he said it backing back.
Speaker 8 (30:05):
What.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
Just throw a d there's wrong with you?
Speaker 3 (30:12):
It was appropriate? I said, Lee, do you not?
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Do you not know the difference between when you're telling
a lie and telling the truth? And he's like, I
don't even know anymore. I was like, you just say
the first thing comes to mind? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
I was like, you do know?
Speaker 4 (30:27):
You said last week you weren't in that situation. Now
you're out hanging out like like it was said that
we're out hanging out like it was normal, Like okay,
you know, yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Here we go.
Speaker 7 (30:39):
You don't have many bad qualities. The worst of him, though,
is that you lie constantly.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Yeah, I think hard. It's so hard to trust you.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
I said, bro, look at your eyes. Your eyes look
a little flamed up, you know what I mean? Like
he didn't get much leak And then he snorted. He snorted,
and you know when he laughs and it goes into
that like rolling snort.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Something something happened with Lee. Here we go.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
That was Lee all last night.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Literally that's the lead right now, Lee up in here
like it was Thursday night.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Oh, man, listen.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
I mean I am mad.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
You do what you gotta do. By the way, Lion's
president Rodwood was at the Detroit Economic Club's annual NFL
Draft luncheon. He was he was asked about what his
thoughts are on the fact that Green Bay's getting the
(31:42):
draft coming up on Thursday throughout the weekend. Detroit had
it last year, and he had this to say.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
And I told you off stage, you know, there's no
way green Bay would come close, and they'll finish.
Speaker 6 (31:52):
They'll finished second or as I said to Brad off
stage third like they did last year.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
Hell, how's that feel?
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Lee?
Speaker 8 (32:02):
I mean, you can only fit so many people there,
so that's all about quality, not quantity.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Would you put that in your your packer pipe and
smoke it.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
All?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Right?
Speaker 8 (32:13):
Then?
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:13):
How about that? I wish I was there. This a
good time dynamic frozen.
Speaker 7 (32:19):
Highlighted by Lee's fandom of green Bay and that quote awesome.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
Well, I think it was it David Acres who started
it with when they were in Dallas and he started
shouting out the world champion Philadelphia Eagles and then uh god,
who was it that came out for Dallas and took
a shot at Philly the next year, and so the
there was all this trash talk. Ben Johnson also took
a shot at Matt Lafleur when he got hired. So
(32:44):
it seems like it's an open season on the Green
Bay Packers there from from the Detroit Lions, who should
probably feel good about themselves. They've been running rough shot
in that division for a little bit, but you know,
could be coming back down to earth.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
So so there's your Well.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
I hope everybody is having fun that's already there and
the people that are going to end up there. I
hope you guys are having fun. Man, I'm sure the
airbnb deal there is probably off the chain right now
because everything's taking place where the stadium is, right, Yeah,
I think so. So yeah, that's like it's so crazy,
(33:20):
like the way their stadium is situated. It is one
of the most uniquely situated stadiums I have ever seen
in my entire life. Like you could be on like
just a regular walk in your neighborhood and boom, donk there.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
It is.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Like generally speaking, like areas for stadiums are so like
cleared out and it's not doesn't seem to be like
very residential.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
It's literally like.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
Just regular regular you know, town streets and stuff like
that that are right next to It's like come out
of a side street.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Boom, there's there's lamb right there. Like Grigri. Feel I've
never been.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Even more so than the Rose Bowl, Like because the
Rose Bowl you at least got to go down into it,
like there are homes around it, and it is like residential.
You're right, but this is like even more. I mean,
and you've been to both, this is even more. It's
it's like one of the most uniquely situated stadiums probably
(34:25):
I've ever seen. I mean it's not there's nothing, you know,
it's super residential. Like hey, like there's a there's the
stadium like right out your back door. Like anyway, I mean,
I am showing there could be some rain. Oh, they
said the weather is going to be horrible. There say
the weather's going to be horrible. Here is going to
(34:47):
be cold. That's not great, all right, the casino will
probably do really well. People have already gone out there, right,
It's it's uh, people have already checked like age went
out there, yester.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
Yeah, yeah, people are already going on.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Hi Dad, it's late April, and the Midwest is still
having weather issues, like when does.
Speaker 7 (35:11):
You call on do you call rain weather issues? Like
that's a normal occurrence everywhere else in the country.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
And we went to live in a desert fifty five
degrees in raining.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
It's late April.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
At some point it's called the springtime.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
Not where I could. There's four seasons.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Listen, you come from the mean streets of southern California.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
One thousand oaks. Yeah, when you're just dodging pro v ones,
the old time, four.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
The hato five.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Yeah, where do you think those salmon pants came?
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Soft ass? Damn oh, soft ass? Rest the ass.
Speaker 1 (35:48):

Speaker 1 (37:08):
It, and for that we turned it over to our
executive producer Lee.
Speaker 7 (37:12):
Lap.
Speaker 8 (37:13):
Good morning everybody, Good morning, Jonas, Good morning, Brady, Good morning, LeVar.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
Guys.
Speaker 8 (37:19):
In case you missed this following WrestleMania this weekend, UH
promoter and executive Paul Hayman was on the Pat McAfee
show We talked, was asked about turning his back on
CEM Punk.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Uh, take a listen to what he had to say.
Speaker 6 (37:33):
CM Punk does as much good to my reputation Shannon
Sharp does to ESPN. No, all right, see, I'm alright.
We don't need to we don't need that.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Lock on on.
Speaker 6 (37:49):
I don't be I'm not the one getting sued. Okay,
all right.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
Okay, tangu Well do you think Pat was thinking in
that moment when he said, whoa, what?
Speaker 1 (38:02):
What?
Speaker 4 (38:02):
What?
Speaker 1 (38:02):
What?
Speaker 4 (38:02):
What? I could think of a few things, but what
what do y'all think he was thinking of that? I
don't know enough about any of this to have any
clue what that even means. Is Shannon Sharp being sued? Yes, okay,
I was unaware of that. I also don't know, like,
is there a great with Like why would Paul bring
that up?
Speaker 3 (38:23):
It's inconvenient. I don't know the Sam Punk background store either.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
What was the wrestling storyline? And Paul Hammond decided to
go rogue? Hey, it's ESPN.
Speaker 3 (38:33):
Why don't I just let it fly?
Speaker 1 (38:34):
And he's been known to do that from time to time,
but I think that was probably when Pat McAfee was thinking,
oh boy, that was a nuclear detonation.
Speaker 4 (38:43):
Is all allowed to say? That was as nuclear as
it gets on detonating? Like you if you were wondering
if if Hayman had any feelings one way or the
other towards ESPN, I mean talk about shade. That was
a shade grenade for real, tang, and he threw it
(39:05):
out so like easily, and it was just so honestly
it was. It seemed like it was like premeditated.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
Sang.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
They come out of not even forty eight hours after saying.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
This man is up for one hundred million dollar contract,
and then now you hear somebody's coming with a lawsuit
of what the allegations are for fifty million of it,
and Tony Buzzby or whatever the dude's name is, he's
the lawyer and he's representing the It's just all kinds
of cris. I just saw some of the text messages.
(39:38):
Then they released the text messages like you sent him.
This was all consensual?
Speaker 3 (39:43):
Is this again?
Speaker 7 (39:44):
I don't know anything based on these text messages. Maybe
we should have Lee read them off in the next segment. No,
thank you, It seems consensual why not, Lee, Well, I
think what we here's what we could do. We could
do it as an ad lib, meaning you could take
the stuff that you can't say on the air, and
we could add in like an eggplant to you know,
(40:04):
a peach or another you know thing to represent something.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
That's all right, it's like our own farmer's market.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
Come on, exactly, donut call them instead of eggplant, call
him Brutus. You know, since this is ww this is wrestling,
just we'll reference the eggplant as Brutus.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
You know, Hey, give a wrestler names.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
That's what you need.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Here. What was the rest of Brutus's name? Brutus is
the barber beefcake. I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Brady told me that. Yeah, there you go. I have
no idea what anyone So the Ultimate Warrior
