just it's just woof man.
Speaker 2 (01:57):

Speaker 3 (01:58):
You just gotta be more airful. Somebody may take that
the wrong way. You know, what do you mean?
Speaker 2 (02:06):
What happens?
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I should be laughing. I should be laughing. I don't know.
I'm just saying.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
I will be covering the draft though with Fox Sports
Radio Jenny Taff You.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Know Joe Douglas, you know used to be with the Jets, you.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
Know, back in the day. Well I won't say back
in the day, but he what with the Jets and
my man Jay Blazer. We're going to be doing it tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
By the way, if you're.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
From Fox Sports Studios, Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
I wonder if you're going to get in the intel
on what happened with Rogers and Sala and all that
from Joe Douglas.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I'm going to ask, I'm certainly going to ask.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, certainly, Well you pass that along the following day.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
It depends, you know, it always depends because relationships are
as clearly are very.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Very contingent upon.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
What the relationship has to offer possibly, so you gotta
be careful on how you communicate otherwise, you know, you
just you may find yourself in a situation where you
don't get any more information if you ever.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
See them again or anything like that. You just gotta
be careful.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Cuff up and take care of business. You know, everything
should be fine.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
That should go down as the quote of the year.
If this jump continues to catch steam, it's a cuff up.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
It's wild.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
To New York on the City of thumber.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Pacers, congratulations, And I feel bad. I feel bad for
the Minnesota Timberwolves. Really the deck is totally stacked against
them because you know, Anthony Edwards can't even point out
what might be true in an exchange with a fan
and get popped fifty thousand dollars for it, and then
(04:03):
he's got to come in with that on his back,
having to deal with that, and then also having a
deal with the fact that, well, you know, they're going
to give a certain number of calls and a certain
number of advantages to the Lakers to try and even
this series and get this back to Minnesota and and
have it at one one now. So it's unfortunate, fun game.
They were getting wiped out early. They closed the gap,
(04:25):
but we do have a one to one series heading
back to Minneapolis there.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
So, yeah, Minnesota played. They didn't play their best basketball,
you know, close they did not. They were in a
hostile environment. Clearly they you know, didn't shoot well, didn't.
It looked like the defense did what it was was
needed to do.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
You know.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
For the Lakers, Luca played much better, you know, scoring
it was a triple double, didn't he got to the
triple double, I believe, or maybe it was one point
way want something maybe away from the triple double.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
But he played, He played better. They they played.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
The Lakers played better, but I still don't think that
they played clean enough basketball where moving forward going away
from La that they had that type of a game.
They were still Minnesota was still able to kind of
get close back. They got it down to like nine
at one point.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
You know, I think that they would do a game
like this. I did not think that Minnesota would sweep
the Lakers, but it'll be interesting to see because they
played very poorly. They shot poorly, and you know, the
Lakers took took advantage of it. And if Luca can
continue to play the way that he does, if Lebron
(05:49):
can continue to play the way that he does, which
is do we question.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
If he can maintain the stamina.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
I think I was thinking to myself while I was
watching it yesterday, can can Lebron maintain the level of competition?
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Like? How does that work?
Speaker 5 (06:07):
How does how is his body going to feel with
the turnaround time playing the next game. I think that
there were questions that that I had leaving the game,
but I will say at least they were competitive in
their approach to the rematch, because it did not look
very competitive in the first game, and so it's going
(06:28):
to be a series. You know, I thought that Minnesota
might win it in in less games, but this might
be a series. You know, they might they might need
all the games to decide this one.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Oh you think it's going seven?
Speaker 3 (06:39):
It might.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Yeah, let's hope we got seven. That's kind of good
for everyone, right.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
Yeah, it's good players, it's good for the NBA.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Well, I thought the physicality of the Lakers was the difference.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
That was just me, but that was the big difference.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah, they they needed to respond and twenty for twenty.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
As Chris Finch, he'll tell you the.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
T Wolves head coach, uh, and I don't know if
this is Shade.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
I don't know if he was trying to, uh, you know,
kind of let everybody know, like, hey, you know, it's
a little bit unfair how things were being called out there.
But the t Wolves head coach did speak postgame about
that physicality that you mentioned.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Let's take a listen.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
They didn't really make a ton of like tactical adjustments.
They just were super physical, holding on a lot of
the screens and you know, being aggressive and trying to
jump out on a lot of screens and pressure in
the ball a lot more so.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
They did jump out on them screens. They were jumping
out on the screens, but they were jumping they were jumping.
They I mean, they got called for it a couple
of times. I mean it was called uh you know,
but they just got they played poorly and they got
out played. Like that's you You could say that that
could Randall should have had five six five. Randall probably
(07:59):
should have filed out.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Now why I.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Don't think that he did, you know, make the fouls.
They challenged them. They did get the fouls reversed, but
I mean, and in some cases, you know, those those
calls don't get reversed, especially if Lebron James is a
part of one of those calls. So they just should
(08:21):
have played better, guys. I mean to me, when you
look at it, they got to play better and and
they got to protect the ball. And I just don't
think that Minnesota came into that game and it's almost
as though they got shocked by the way the Lakers
were playing.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
I think the.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Two things to that it was like a confusing defensively,
you know, for the Timberwolves, that the Lakers defense was
like confusing them. And also I think the Timberwolves just
have to move forward, you know, after that performance. You know,
to your point, But again, don't take it from me,
take it from Anthony Edwards or some of the play roles.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
That's a great point.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
I mean, and and you were spot on with that,
Anthony Edwards ant man fifty thousand dollars lighter in the
pocket because all he did was, you know, crank shame
somebody at the in the first row. After Game one
he spoke about it following the game.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (09:18):
It seemed like every time I caught the body kind
of went like a in a zone in a sense.
So it's kind of confusing at times. But we'll watch
film have be ready. It was up with twenty some
and we fought back and got back in the game.
I think what hurt was when we cut it to
like eleven and a third in the middle of the
third and then they went on like a seven over run.
I think that's what hurt more than anything. Nothing better
to be but to win up what we want to want.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
I mean, look, the reality is, you know, sometimes practices
in between these games can make the difference. Except for
the Lakers, it feels like they got things together after
week one or excuse me, in game one had a
good practice and we're able to apply it thin a
game too.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
How do you know how about.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
You that's the Lakers plays.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Ok yeah, Bro, apparently Brady's everywhere. He was at Lakers practice. Okay,
So Lebron, is this true? Your fellow Ohio buddy was
at practice and he can speak on whether or not
you had a decent practice following that that embarrassing loss
Game one.
Speaker 8 (10:15):
We knew yesterday I practice made a tough practice yesterday,
and we went at it yesterday and one of one
of the best practices we've had all year. We kind
of knew coming out of that with type of disposition
we had to play with. We watched film before practice.
It wasn't good. Game one was not good at all.
So we're all competitors and you know, so that's what
(10:36):
it took.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
Yeah, sure, right, and that is accurate. You know, Disposition
is a is a strong word. I mean, they came
out there with an attitude, and they came out there
with a willingness to get after Minnesota basically the same
way Minnesota got after them in Game one. And it
showed that now this isn't a team that was too slow.
(10:59):
They were too slow in a Game one like Minnesota
was running circles around them in Game one, they looked
like they were in slow motion. I don't know if
it was because of the first first game in the
you know, the series is the playoffs?
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Is it?
Speaker 5 (11:14):
You know, based upon Minnesota just being faster than what
they are the first thing you're going to think when
you see a team moving slower as oh, there's the
beer can with Luca and there's the age with Lebron James. Like,
but they showed last evening that this is a team
that can match the physicality and they can match the
athleticism of Minnesota. In fact, they I mean they out
(11:38):
physical them.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
You know.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
Rudy Gobert is probably like he probably went to the
locker room after the game and was looking in the
mirrors like what just happened to me? Because he was
they were it was all kinds of hands, you know,
knocking the ball away from him every single time. It
seemed like he should have an opportunity to have an
impact on the game. They were too quick, They were
(12:01):
too quick to get to them for him to even
be effective. So you know, it's going to be a series.
It's going to be a series. My question is ken
Lebron James at his age, which sounds crazy because he's
not that old. But I guess in pro you know,
being an active player pro terms, he is getting old.
Can he can his body keep.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
Up with that?
Speaker 5 (12:23):
And if they were to somehow some way match the
physicality the rest of the way, can they you know,
can they do that.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
The rest of the way in the playoffs?
Speaker 5 (12:32):
Because let me tell you something, watching Oklahoma and the
way they play, they are for real and in that
age that people are saying, and you know, what are
they going to be moving forward? Do they have enough
experience to be able to get over the hump this year?
Speaker 3 (12:48):
It looks as though they're playing with the type of.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
Energy or disposition you know that you know they're going
to be They're going to be a series team to
contend with UH in the West.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
So but it was a good game.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
I thought it was a good game other than the
fact that Minnesota could have played a lot better, a
lot of missshots, a lot of missed opportunities at times.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Careless with with with the way they.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Did things, and and the Lakers they they jumped up
and give credit to the coaching staff.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Right, we don't talk about Reddick enough.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
I have a question about Oklahoma City as you mentioned
I know that there's mercy rules in sports.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Uh, there's you know, running clock an awful series. I mean,
can we just call this after two? Like I mean, like,
let's put the white flag.
Speaker 9 (13:38):
Just just move on, cut them a cut them a check,
communition and just you know, in the in the UFC,
if if a guy misses wade or they cancel a fight,
the other fighter who was depending on that paycheck, they'll
like work out something behind the scenes and and cut
them a check to be able to pay for his
training camp and all that.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Can you just cut Memphis a check for a game
games three and four, whatever revenue they'll get, give them
like fifty percent or like thirty three percent, and then
can we just move on to the next round? It's over, Like, well,
John Moran hasn't even had an opportunity to break out
any of his arsenal, and we're having to sit here
and watch that waste of time series when everybody knows
(14:20):
it's just going to be a sweep.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Let's just move on. We know the ending.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Can we just cut cut to the chase and get
rid of this? And I feel like we're kind of
in the same spot in several other series in the
NBA playoffs thus far, there's just not that much interest,
to be honest with, No.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
No, you want you care to elaborate on those.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
It's a terrible matchup, dude. I mean, it's like they
can't stop anyone from Oklahoma City scoring. And if you
watch Memphis, like they seem disinterested, They're like, yeah, where
I win this one. It feels like a terrible pickup
game at like your local you know, pick your gym,
like twenty four hour fitness like pick you know, whatever
(14:59):
gym you're talking fit, like pick pick your gym. It's
a terrible pickup game. How your local gym?
Speaker 1 (15:04):
I wonder if they realized that by winning the playing game,
they'd have to play more. Maybe they weren't aware. They
just thought, hey, it's one last game, one last time.
Guy has been kind of a roller coaster season, one
last time coach got fired. Let's just go out on
a high note. And then somebody's like, a, uh, you
got Oklahoma City next round? Okay, and now two games
(15:28):
in again, waste of time for everybody involved.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
But what other games make you feel that way? Pacers
in the Bucks, Pacers are going home. That's that's a wrap.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Yeah, and look, I maybe uh you know, maybe be
honest or Dame. If he's healthy, we'll be we'll make
that interesting. Orlando and Boston that's over. Even though Jalen
Brown and Jason Tatum are banged up, that's probably gonna
be over. It's just look around. We need to get
to the next round. T Wolves Lakers. If it goes seven,
(15:58):
great for everybody involved, fun, fun storylines. Anthony Edwards is exciting.
You never know what he's gonna do or say, or
what report's gonna come out about him.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
And then you know, obviously the.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
NBA will get you know, get to wet its peak
on Lebron for another extended series.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
But I just I look around and go, I don't.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Know, man like Piston's knicks that that might be a
little exciting, but we just need to get to the
next round and just and just be competitive.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Piston and Piston's knicks, that'll be a competitive one. The
Nuggets and the Clippers that will be uh, you know,
that'll be a competitive series. The Warriors and the Rockets,
that will be a competitive series. And and to me,
I think the Warriors in the Rockets is the most
compelling of of all these these first round games, It'll
(16:46):
be interesting to see if if Golden State can can
come back and double down, or if the Rockets show
that that young athleticism and ability to to play fast
basketball and score so that that'd be an interesting one
to watch today. And then you know, you look at
the Caves and the Heat. I think that's an intriguing
(17:08):
one too. I don't think that the Heat are good
enough to beat the Cavaliers, but the way Bam has played,
and if Tyler Herro can continue to play, you know,
at a higher level, that could be a more maybe
a more competitive series than might it may have given off.
(17:32):
But I think the most intriguing one is the Warriors
and the Rockets, I really do. And the rest of
them is kind of like, yeah, you know, I if
the Magic Celtics series turns into a series, I wouldn't
be surprised. I just didn't. I don't expect it, you know.
And I think with the Grizzlies, if they were able
to turn that series around, it better be this next game.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
I'm not going to write.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
The Grizzly Grizzlies off, but the thunder look pretty damn
good this year.
Speaker 1 (18:02):

have a feel good story for you coming up here
fifteen minutes from now on FSR. We do have the
NFL Draft coming up tomorrow night, and listen, feels like
(20:43):
it's a foregone conclusion. Titans GM Mike Borganzi. He spoke
about the Tennessee options at number one. Would they trade
out of the pick? Is this something they'd consider moving
on from? And he explained his thought process and wanting
to stay put and pick a top tomorrow night's NFL Draft.
Speaker 11 (21:03):
We've come to a consensus the entire organization is to
stay at that pick, and I guess you'll.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Find out Thursday night who we pick.
Speaker 11 (21:09):
You know, it's such a long process here, and we
want to go through the whole thing. I don't know
if there was a certain point along the process, but
we were listening the whole time, and then you know,
as we got towards the end of the process, you know,
we decided as an organization, we're going to stay.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
All right, I'm gonna call my shot right now. They're
taking cam Ward and you heard it here.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
First, what are the odds that they're taking cam Ward.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Right now?
Speaker 1 (21:36):
It's minus twenty thousand on uh on DraftKings, well, that
he's the number one pick, that he's.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
The number one minus twenty thousand. Yeah, all right. I
was gonna actually try to make a claim if it
was not quite that big favorite, but now it's like, yeah,
that's not worth it. I mean, although, I mean, look
the betting market sometimes because as much as it seems
like it's a surefire that's what's gonna happen, why was
(22:05):
if they get a ridiculous offer. Yeah, in the final hour.
I mean I heard Peter Schruger tell a story about
the year that Baker Mayfield was drafted number one overall.
He was convinced till Sam Darnold, I mean absolutely convinced,
and then going into it until like a few hours
before the draft, they started to get this buzz or
momentum that it's not Sam Darnald, it's probably gonna be
(22:27):
Baker Mayfield. And I remember being in Cleveland when it happened.
That was one of the most unique drafts. I believe
it was Baker Mayfield who was taken a one and
they took Denzel Ward at four, if I'm not mistaken, Yeah,
And it was an interesting reaction by the crowd because
(22:47):
people were concerned about Baker's height and people were concerned
about the size of Denzel Ward and it reminded them
of a draft. They took Johnny Manziel and Justin Gilbert,
who were at a quarterback cornerback combination, and I mean,
it was I've never seen a crowd react the way
(23:08):
like that in real time. I mean it was I
don't I'm not gonna say what the people said, but
people got out of line for season tickets. It was
just it was like people are in disbelieve and they
were making all sorts of comments about here we go again.
So two things from that. The first is that you
really don't know. I mean, this seems pretty much like
(23:30):
it's a guarantee, but there's still that possibility something could
happen in the next twenty four hours were more than that.
The next thing is is like the fans don't know.
I mean, obviously Baker ended up playing some good football
for them, deasil Award's been phenomenal, so like like you
could you could make the case both picks for kind
of hits. It's just however things got botched with Baker
Mayfield is what it is. But fans don't know either.
(23:53):
So it's gonna be interesting to see how the Titans
fans react to this pick. But also if the Tennessee
Titans holds strong at the spot and if the Titans
are for sure taking him a one, and then we
could start to go down the draft order. Where does
the draft actually start this year?
Speaker 1 (24:08):
I just say this, like you imagine standing in line
for season tickets and you're like, wait, they took who oh.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
F this and you can get out.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
You're standing, I'm done.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
And there was a line. It was a long line,
and I remember just the reaction of people and and
all of a sudden there's no line and I'm going oh,
And I'm kind of looking at the Browns people They're like, oh, wait,
come on. And I think some some guy came over
at one point because I was there doing a hit
for a CPS at a time on their digital platform,
and he comes out and he goes, hey, man, do
(24:42):
you think you'd be interested in season tickets? I was like,
I don't. I don't live here, you know, that's like
would really makes sense for me, you know, like kind
of felt bad like that. Yeah, maybe we'll just buy
some and donate. Like, I don't know, it doesn't look
like a good situation right now.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
Dang well, I'll say I'm I'm curious to see what
the Giants do. I will say that I feel I
feel as though, I guess we have a firm idea
as to what Tennessee will do and and and maybe
what the Cleveland Browns will do. I mean, it seems
(25:19):
as though it makes sense that they will take Travis
Hunter with the second pick to go to Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
I mean, I'm a.
Speaker 5 (25:29):
Type of curious about that pick because I think that
if I don't think you could go wrong with Hunter
or Carter, but man getting to the quarterback.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
And I know it'll be argued it's just.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
As important to be able to cover the receivers and
all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
But I don't know.
Speaker 5 (25:49):
It sounds like Pete Prisco thinks that maybe he wants
to be a receiver.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Hunter wants to be a receiver. I don't know how
that all plays out. I do know that.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Pete so someone made the comparison that they remind they
remind them of like him, of Justin Jefferson, the way
Travis Hunter moves, and how as soon as Pete heard that,
he was like, oh, oh, he's a receiver. There's definitely
a receiver. Until that moment we're having dawned on him,
like the comp for Travis Hunter as a wide receiver,
what he could be. He liked him as a cornerback.
(26:21):
That that is what changed completely in his mind when
that happened. So just take that with the grand AsSalt
next time we talk to Pete.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
All right, I will, all right, Well, I just think
Abdul Carter being added to a defensive front that has
Miles Garrett on it is that's that's pretty sick. I
really do think that is sick. But I'm not for
certain that three is an Abdual Carter pick.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
So we mentioned Peter Schrager now with the ESPN, which
doesn't sound right at all, but he said that the
Browns and the Giants are currently fielding trade calls for
picks two and three, and that they have quote not
outwardly rejected them.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Here's my question.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
If you've got an opportunity, if cam Ward's to pick
at one, and depending on who you talk to, but
it feels like majority of the people say top two
overall prospects Travis Hunter Abdul Carter, Like you can argue
for either one of them. If you've got an opportunity
to stay put and get maybe one of the two
(27:29):
best prospects in the draft just by staying where you
are and you're not picking one.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Why would you trade out? Why would they trade out?
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Like?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Why would you let somebody else have an opportunity to
come in and take those prospects unless you just have
them farther down on your board than somebody else does.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
And there's many quotes from Bill Bellamie how to be
a player. Oh but one thing when you watch that
movie that you'll learn is that when you've got something
that's coveted, all right, and when you're in a position
to take Travis Hunter or Abdual Quarter, which is what
those picks are in this case, you're gonna listen. You
know you're not gonna commit, you know you're not gonna
(28:10):
you're not gonna leave what you've got, but you're gonna listen,
and you're probably not gonna say no, all right, You're
probably gonna allow it to play itself out until the
moment where you've got to decide at the end of
the night who you're taking home? All right, are you
taking home Travis Hunter, abdual Carter. We'll find out tomorrow night.
(28:30):
But you're gonna listen. You're gonna listen for those other offers.
And when people come up and say, hey, how you doing, Jonas,
you know all that you're you're you're listening to all
those things.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah, Yon, Yeah, you can get a translator then make
it even more so.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Look, there's no harm in listening, you know, there's no
harm in like looking at the uh you know, the
package of draft picks that they're looking at trading up for.
There's no harm in evaluating that. And you also don't
know is this the best offer? You know at eight
nine pm? Is is this the best offer that they're
(29:09):
going to get tonight or is it gonna get a
little better tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
I want to be in a draft room so bad.
That's like a bucket list thing. I want to be
in there.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
And here a lot of people though too, Yeah, that's fine.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Listen, who's the guy wearing all the goth stuff? They
won't even notice me. I'll be hanging upside down in
the corner. And then I just want to watch and
see how everything is orchestrated, the conversations between teams, thes.
Speaker 5 (29:35):
What team if you had your preference, your druthers, what
which team room would you want to be in?
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Eagles?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
I want to see how how.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
He because you think they're going to try to well, yeah, because.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
I just want to see how he Roseman manipulates everything,
Like how he no matter what, is going to figure
out how to make a home run pick every single time.
Like I just want to be there for that, And
and I'd also like to see big Dom at work.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
I like Peter was Peter Schrager?
Speaker 5 (30:03):
Was he the one that's it in that quote that
the Eagles could try to move up if Abdul Carter
is still there at pick five or something like that,
which I don't know how how exactly would they be
able to move up that far to get there.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
They're not They're nowhere closed to five. That would be no,
they're thirty two.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
But I mean they trade a bunch of picks. Obviously.
There's a few thoughts to that. The first is that
you at that point when you've won a Super Bowl
and I haven't looked at the roster in depth enough
to completely know. But there are certain there are certain
teams that are in the window and there and they're
in that window right now without a doubt that they're
(30:47):
so stacked. How many rookies are really going to make
the roster? Like, how many of these guys you drafting
are actually going to be able to make the roster?
And if you're Howie Roseman, you feel that if you
this draft, as does your scouting department as a US
or draft, which is what we've heard, there's only two
surefire prospects, and there's a few position groups people love,
like dn people love tight ends. Another position. Your guy
(31:10):
Tyler Warren, he's going to go in the first round. Loveland,
the kid out of Michigan, He's going to go in
the first round. We're talking about multiple running backs getting
drafted high in the first round. Like that's I mean,
tight end running back in the first round. Like that's
not typical for a draft. So oftentimes it's position or
value that sometimes trump's all that, but also it's the
(31:30):
fact that these players are just really good players, and
the other position groups we're talking about aren't looked at
as highly. So if you're Howie Roseman, you'd love someone
that falls to five. Like, yeah, you'd probably say, if
Jacksonville's willing to trade out, we're willing to do some
sort of deal where we trade all the way up
and get a player that we feel like will come
in and be this year's Jalen Carter, which is pretty
(31:53):
damn impactful. And that's where this team is. If they're
trying to win Super Bowls and go back to back,
if they could.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
Get if they found a way to land Abdul Carter
in Philadelphia, that would be the wildest story of the
NFL Draft.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
I saw it on a report.
Speaker 4 (32:10):
The wildest I think, like a gas mask on draft.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
They wouldn't trump that, well, that's derogatory though, that's that's
like not positive, I think in a positive way. I mean,
obviously from he's from the area, he's from that South
Pennsylvania and and that would be just that would be
crazy as a penn state. Or he ended up falling
dropping a little bit in the draft and ended up
(32:34):
in Philadelphia, that that would be crazy. But I think
that would be one of the all time craziest stories
I do now. And in that that regard what you're
talking about. I'm sure we could dig up some crazier
stories falling on that that side of the spectrum.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I've never I've never smoked weed, not really into the
hippie lettuce.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
But is why you gotta be a hippie to smoke it?
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Well, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
I mean, whatever you want to call it, But is
it is? Is smoking it out of a gas mask?
Is that considered innovative?
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Like?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Did he start a trend?
Speaker 3 (33:11):
People have used gas masks to do it?
Speaker 4 (33:14):
Also, have you used.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
I have never used a gas mask.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
No, I haven't thought about it.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
Gas man, I see your face moving, Jonas. No, I've
never used one. Nor have I ever felt compelled to
use a gas mask. If you know, I'm partaking and
smoking herb herb.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
From the earth.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
So nobody on the show has ever smoked weed out
of a gas mask.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Just want to be clear. You're having to think twice
about it now.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Those college years were a bit fuzzy.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
People get a little bit too rambunctious about how they
do certain things. I mean, I don't know, there's always
going to be over the top people. Man, Well, there's
there's much time on their hands. You remember the hat
that had the beers on the side that you could
put straws in the beer, and you had one of those? No, never,
you look like the type of cat that would have
(34:12):
one of them. No, not me, That's not my thing. Now, Lee,
would you have ever had the cat with the two
beers holders on the side with the straws.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
Would you have ever had that?
Speaker 12 (34:24):
I definitely would. But I've never actually seen one in person,
believe it or not.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Never seen one. That can't be true, dude. I used
to see those like Green Bay Packers games.
Speaker 12 (34:34):
Maybe I pre gamed a little too hard to notice
some beef once I got there.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
But uh, Lee, do you remember anything about that game?
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Yeah, I remember the game. But we got so drunk
and he was like, why are we a soldier field?
Speaker 4 (34:47):
What do you What do you remember about the game?
Speaker 12 (34:49):
Like, oh, well, we whooped them and we had we
had a great time.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
It was a it was a.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
Beatdown of it.
Speaker 4 (34:54):
Why the Niners whooped the Niners?
Speaker 12 (34:57):
But I was brock perty was out that game. I
was bummed because I knew Onnesday announced he was out that.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
We were gonna whoop them.
Speaker 12 (35:03):
So we we were able to pregame quite heavily during
the before the game, though.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Probably you would have anyway. So it's not like that
changed anything.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
Can I ask you guys a question, No, I appreciate
it when looking at best available, and when best available
has the foregone conclusion of the number one draft pick
not even being a top five best available you know prospect.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
How does that? How does that work? Like?
Speaker 5 (35:37):
How exactly does that work? Like, so being a quarterback
Trump's not being one of the top prospects in the
draft as like that just totally I should.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Jesus, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
It's positional value. It's why like being a quarterback or
a defensive end, a cornerback, wide receiver, tackle, those are
all taken, you know, higher over four other positions unless
you feel like there's an extreme talent. So that's where
our pregnancy. See nine dns go off the board. I
mean literally a fourth of the first round will be dns.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
Think about that. It's gonna be fun luck to Tennessee.
You're taking a not even the top five prospect number one.
You guys are losers.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Damn Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:24):

Speaker 12 (38:14):
In the world of things you haven't heard before, weird
story out of the York Football League that is the
premier division of soccer in England between Old Mountain Saint
Mary's and malt Shovel. The game had to be disbanded
at halftime or at the interval, however you want to
call it, because after a controversial goal off of a penalty,
(38:36):
when the ref went back to his changing room, he
had found that somebody had decided to defecate inside of
his shoe, at which point he said, for his own safety,
he decided to leave the premises and they abandoned the
game as the term they use, So chalk that up
to something.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
Sports. Sports are just different over there. Like been there
to watch a football matches that would say, it is nuts.
Those people live and die by it. It is awesome
to see about advocating for this, by the way, but
you know what I'm.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
Saying, now, where does it or other cat for it?
How does it compare to like big ten sec football environments.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
That's the closest thing I think. And and look, I
know there's a lot of NFL fans out there who
their fandoms big, but it's not as like passionate as
a college football fan, where like people draw a line
and they that's just how they feel. And it's like
it's like kind of like politics, college football, and religion,
like three things you don't want to talk about. Uh,
it's kind of like that. Like they are die hard fans,
(39:47):
and it's the atmosphere is incredible. There's heavy drinking, there's
a lot of tailgating both before and after. It's just
it's it's a wild environment. If you ever get the
chance to go up there for gotta go.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Over and watch.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Yeah, what's he supposed to do?
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Exactly what he did, I guess.
Speaker 5 (40:08):
She seems like a st imagine if it was a
she not a he.
