Yeah we got.

Pre season action? Good coming up later on tonight.

We got preseason action, all right?
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Yeah yeah, once an LB, always a LB.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
I'll tell you that, that's right. Yeah, man, people getting hippy.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
I bet you this music was playing when that was
going on.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, what kind of music are they firing up in
training game?
Speaker 4 (01:47):
I'm telling you that was playing this song right here.
It was playing. Well, that was taking place so little Pantera?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, why not?
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, get everybody, Get everybody to let.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
This is the right about the time in training camp
or people have just about had to camp at.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Camp camp by time.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, but I was told by by somebody in the know.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
That you can have camp by any time.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, the camp I starts almost immediately that that's what
I had been told.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
It kind of does start immediately. Does It's like, dang,
I'm in camp like some people more than others though,
Like some people, it's like you feel more bolder about
you know, when you have camp. I like, I'm want
to say something to this person, Like no, I shouldn't
say something to this person. And maybe you do. Maybe
you don't. That's camp. I now the ones that the
(02:40):
ones camp that's part of it. That's that's a couple of.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
Them, like dogs in heat.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
That's yeah, I mean yes, kind of what it is.
You know, you're you're there to hunt, You're you're there. Yeah,
you're there to get out there. And sometimes you see
one and it's not one that you would ever look
at you in the street. It's not one that you
would take any time out of your day for. But
(03:06):
for some strange reason, by like week two, maybe day two,
they just look way better. It's like gas station proposition
is just way different.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
You know, here we go.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
I'm just saying, it's a gas station food.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
You know, sometimes you gotta do it. You don't want to,
but if there's nothing within one hundred miles is what
it is.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Crazy. I've never really been in the gas station food.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
Say, I've actually never eaten gas station food either.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
It's a terrible analogy. Oh that's right. You drive a Tesla.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Got it got to be rich to not want to
eat gas station?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Who drives a Tesla? Do you drive a Tesla?
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Arms?
Speaker 4 (03:47):
I do not.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Sorry for speaking, I don't hear for the common man,
I drive a Ford.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
I'm not like one of those guys drives a Toyota.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
I have as well.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
I'm more I'm more American in that sense.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
I mean I don't try to push overseas and all
that stuff.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, I agree. Yeah, well I do have a foreign Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Well, if this would be the type of guy who
would get bolt during camp.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
I feel like.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I'd get what during camp?
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yeah? Bullied? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Oh no, No, I played in high school.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
I mean how that? Howd the training camp go for you?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
What do you what do you mean? I got lit up?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
You guys didn't haze in high school. We haze. We
You know, I could never tell you some of the stories.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I mean there were they were antics.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
I told you one last week, important enough a player
on the team for them to I wasn't risk it.
You know, you got to risk it on thus players.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
I wasn't. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah, we were going nowhere fast. If I was getting
playing time.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
You was going nowhere fast. Third and then one's going
nowhere fast.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
What position did you play?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Bro?
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Wide receiver? No way?
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah, well you had to play it was wide receiver,
defensive back. But it didn't matter.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
I can guarantee you you looked at trip running out
there on the field. Oh yeah, like, what did your
stance look like?
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Stand up?
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Let me see your stance. Let me see I do.
I want to see your stance. You're on the line
of primage. Let me see your that.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
That is a quality stance right there.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
I would have got canceled if I had told the
first word that came to mind when you did it.
Speaker 6 (05:22):
Yeah, yeah, it wasn't that was That was kind of
where I was going with I. I feel like you
would have gotten beat up a little.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
I'm getting canceled if I say what that looked like.
You know, I'm doing the beating up, bowling the ring.
You guys would last ten seconds in my world who.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Were getting beat up?
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:40):
That The only thing idea is training camps is.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Not what it used to be. You know.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
We were in high school, Like.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
I remember going away for a week to a D
three school called Ohio Wesleyan. We had three days, like
in the middle of the summer, the heat, staying in dorms,
no air conditioning. You you'd bring a fan and pray
to God that.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
I got cool enough. At night you could fall asleep.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
But like I remember those days of like just training camp,
you had to a day, two a day, two a day.
I mean, as I got older, that stuff went away.
I think by the time I got to the NFL,
it was two a day, one a day. But there
weren't like restrictions like there was, you know, at least initially,
like I remember a training camp, you'd be able to
go back to back to back to back, at least
(06:27):
in college, and that started to get softened up over time.
But by the by the time I started in the
NFL to the time I finished.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
Training camp was drastically different.
Speaker 6 (06:37):
I mean, I mean, I remember going to training camp
with the Dolphins in twenty fourteen and they were like,
you know, they're so obsessed with hydration. Every time you're
going to the bathroom, they're testing your you know, hydration
levels with your urine. I'm like, dude, this was not
like this when I first got that Cleveland and seven, like,
there was never a focus on that and even entirely
(06:58):
different in college. It was almost like if you needed water,
you're a woos So I just I think about how
much things have changed. I wonder if the camp I
exist the way it used to. You guys had really
guys who were really gassed up, who are really.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Just I'm gonna tell you an opportunity. I want to
tell you what makes the camp I worse now than
what it probably was then for us is that camp
I was purely based off of what was in front
of you. Like you got camp I because it's like
I'm away from normal society, so whatever, Like if it's
(07:38):
a trainer, if it's right, if it's if it's a trainer,
if it's the person in the cafeteria or the person
that's that's printing dittos and and and papers, is is
it the photographer, Like at some point cats be ready
to start blanking out at anything. If it's the person
(08:02):
cutting the lawn, you're like, oh, look, look she's cutting
the lawn, Like, damn, that's a good line right there.
Like I think I would give her a compliment. Hey, buddy,
you're doing a great job, like keep it up.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
It's camp I.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Then. The reason why I think CAMPI is worse now
is because it's not limited to what's right in front
of your face. You probably get you probably get social
media camp I, and you'll go after people, you will
slide in DMS, you'll make poor decisions on what you're
doing with your social because great point.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
You got CAMPI.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
That's a great point.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
So yeah, I wasn't.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
I wasn't factoring the the ease of you know that,
like actually going through.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
The yep swipe here.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Yeah YEAHM here watching watching Jonas and and and lead
play around with that that whole site. The other day
I was like, man, that's a camp I site. That's
one hundred percent of camps wipe. Like, imagine if you
had a readily available dating app or let's let's what
(09:08):
y'all call it, let's hook up app, and you're in
training camp. Oh your your camp your camp I is
on one hund fire mode. It's a fire seal, like
you're in danger if you're a camp I type of guy.
There's an app called that what can.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
No?
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Let's hook up should be a should be a site,
and camp I should be also should be a site.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
They should both be dating site.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Don't you start that up? A campus I can't do everything, man,
why not? That's just camp I don't have the bandwidth
to do all of these things. But that is a
hell of a concept, and somebody's probably writing it down
right now, like they're right, we should do an app
called CAMPI because all across America you will have football
players or basketball players, anyone that goes into a camp
(09:57):
situation and they're going to use it.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
And then Camp I turns in the Camp D. Yeah, yeah,
there you go.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Well, and Camp D is way more dangerous than camp.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
Camp. Camp is all about the action of looking and wondering.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
Camp D is like, yeah, it's like it's like windows shopping.
That's the closest thing. It's two. It's like windows shopping
where it's close to Christmas. You gotta you gotta make
a decision at some point, you know, you're really itching
to get something done here to bring it back and
uh well.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Eventually you're like, well, I guess this will do that's
cam D. There you go.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
This will do that. That window shopping that I got
to make the purchase here where he just said I
got to make the purchase. This will do that. That's
when transition.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
It's like, I saw it's Christmas Eve.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I gotta right, I gotta get this.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
All right, I go there you go? There you go?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Well Station food Yeah, well, well listen, I do know
this that there's some camp blood in New England. Yeah,
and it's Mike Rabels because a skirmish broke out. There
was a joint practice between the Commanders and the Patriots
yesterday and Mike Rabel got involved, got a little bloodied
(11:20):
and his quarterback Drake May talked about it afterwards.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
That's what we're trying to build, I think.
Speaker 7 (11:24):
And to start with the coach starts to the head coach,
the intensity, bring it every day, you know, taking no
crap and you know we're out there on the field.
But also it comes to a time where with our
guys offensively and get over there and get some tussles
and kind of have some penalties and extra after the whistle,
you can get us some trouble.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
But for mentality, I like it. I think that's what
you want.
Speaker 7 (11:40):
I mean, I almost got in there, but I think
maybe no day maybe.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
So se uh, Mike Rabel is going to end up
bailing Bob Craft out because robber Craft was on a
downward slide towards Hey, I'm the guy. Now Belichick's gone,
Tom Brady's gone, and they were starting to trickle downward.
Mike Rabel's gonna be there turn the fortunes around to
that franchise and they're gonna be a borderline playoff team
(12:05):
this year. The Patriots all because he got bloodied up fight.
He's everything has changed there. You don't feel different about that.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
You do know that the last coach was a linebacker
that was a tough, smart heart nos linebacker that was
no nonsense type of dude.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
He didn't get blooded up.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Yeah, come on, Brora is like, that's a thrown ass man,
bron See no.
Speaker 6 (12:30):
One, no one's no one's you know, questioning Dra's toughness
as a player. But in the year he was there,
he also did not jump into one of those fights
there there is that's well, that is true.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
I'll tell that is true.
Speaker 6 (12:43):
I will say this to Jonas's point, a switch from
the norm. Huh, it feels it feels like something's different
in New England. You know, if you actually go through
since you know Tom Brady's left, defensively, they haven't been bad.
They've hung in there like they've actually still been a
solid defensive team. I mean sometimes they've gotten one down
(13:05):
because you know, offensively they've struggled, but the defense has
been with the one consistent factor. And if you go
back to the Tennessee Titans and the runs that they
made where they were successful or make it to the
AFC Championship game. It was a ground game and a
defensive led team, and I think those components are there
right now while Drake May continues to develop and if
(13:27):
he develops into the player, I think he's capable of
being that combination can win. That combination could be the
second best team in the NFC East. And that's why
I think, like Jonas is kind of pointing to, is
it's not just the fact that you know he's jumping
in there. I think he's able to win over a team,
to get players to play for him. I think with Drodmeo,
(13:49):
you know, part of what was a struggle last year
a bit was it almost felt like he was trying
to discover who he was as a head coach. He
was trying to figure that out while it was going on.
And by the way, I think a lot of head
coaches in the NFL for their first time are stuck
in that and even harder for the guys who you know,
(14:10):
came from a place with a legend like Bill Belichick,
because what are you always going to refer back to, Well,
what would Bill. Do you know what what did Bill do?
It's like, well, you know, whatever Bill did at least
during New England. Yeah, Tom Brady like he was like, well,
maybe it wasn't the best decision, but you know, Tom,
figure out, build us out. You don't have that luxury
(14:32):
when you're somewhere else and I think that's the difficulty,
at least that's what it was for Drod Mayo. I
think Mike Rabel's different because he's had success, He's won
elsewhere at least to get to a conference championship game,
and he's able to be able to build a team
the way he sees fit. Does he bring things from
Bill Belichick? Sure, but I also think he's his own man.
And that's an example of that is him jumping in
(14:54):
there to basically, you know, try to break something up.
Maybe he was looking for something too, you know, maybe
he's had a little bit of that Camp high.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
You know, turned up there.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
He's the best hire of the off season. Everyone's talking
like Ben Johnson's getting all the headlines and all the coverage.
I think Vrabel's the best hire of the offseason. And
they've spent I think the second most in free agency,
like they got aggressive this year. And look, I don't
know if there's enough around Drake may to where he's
gonna light it up. And let's just tell if the
Stefan Diggs, can you know, stay off the two C
(15:27):
and you know this?
Speaker 4 (15:29):
Wow, Well we find out more and more dudes was
high playing.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Why why stay off of it?
Speaker 2 (15:35):
All?
Speaker 8 (15:35):
Right?
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Well, then if some guys was drinking before games, taking shots,
some guys was smoking before games. Like everybody's getting so
liberated and liberal about how they talk about things they
did now that they're not active players. But I had
no idea so many dudes had those types of habits
going into games. Like I just saw a clip on
(15:57):
Sean Kimp said he was high every game ever.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Really, yeah, I just saw it. I just saw clip.
Speaker 6 (16:03):
Like I knew a guy who was habitually high, practice
game everything.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
By the way, he was really consistent.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Yeah, I mean, yes, one of the great kickers of
all time.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
I'm not advocating for this in any fashion or form,
but I think he felt most comfortable. And look, maybe
it was like dealing with some anxiety that comes with
playing as an NFL.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Play Matt was stepping sixty thousand people.
Speaker 6 (16:29):
Yeah, you got it or yeah, and and maybe it
was a portion of that. Maybe it was a portion
of pain management too. But one thing that when I've
talked to guys about this subject, guys have always said,
I just want to feel consistently the same.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
And it sounds completely completely.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
Jacked up, but if if that's how they get there
and they are able to perform at a high enough
level consistently, I can kind of understand it. And I'm like,
all right, if that's you need to do to get ready,
and that's how you play your best or most consistent,
all right, you know, as long as it's not gonna
mess things up. And and for this player, it didn't
(17:08):
mess things up. Never dropped the ball like, was as
consistent of a pass catcher as anyone I've I've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
So that's out the Brailen Edwards. Uh, you know, I'm joking.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
But but here's what I will say, just cribs man, Well,
he's DC definitely was probably puffing, though.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
I promise I'll promise you this it was not. It
was neither the two.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Just I said he was always high, but I'm just
saying I ain't saying that he went and rolling up
with split Ford two.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
I love you, man.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
I mean, Joe could have been Joe definitely.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Joe might have been extra extra curricular from from that anyways,
the point I'm making it, I mean, and I think, well,
he was my teammate and at Penn State. Yeah yeah, No,
he's older than me. I was a freshman his last year.
Speaker 6 (18:07):
I would have to be on a college team with
him because I would love to see what he was
like as like.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
A we had a ton of characters on on that
ninety seventeen like Curtis Enis was on that team. I
know you'd be an Ohio guy. Oh you know about
Kurt I saw him recently, did you.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
He's in South Florida.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Big dude, now, bro, Like you'd be like, hey, so
you played, huh oh what will you right guard?
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Like that's inflated.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Big Kirk got a little bit bigger. But let me
tell you something. You want to talk about one of
the most impressively built dudes when they was an active player.
That dude looked like that somebody went up to a
big black piece of granite and just literally chiseled him
out of it. Like I've never seen a dude so
(18:55):
chiseled before I've seen dudes ripped up like Cordell Mitch,
one of our running backs. That dude had literally had
negative one body fat, like his muscles had muscles and
he was rip. But he went and like Kurt, looked
like a freaking like one of them type of warriors
they made for like Lord of the Rings or something
(19:16):
like that, Like he was on the bad guys side
and they was coming to get the ring.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Like he was built like that, and the dude ran
like that.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Anyway, point I'm making it was a lot of personalities
on that team, and Joe Jarvish's was one of them,
and that was a cool team. We were ranked number
one preseason in fact, But back to my point, I
think with Rapes, I think the belief, the collective belief
is because he was able to do what he was
(19:45):
able to do in Tennessee with that team. I think
the belief in how he does things. Maybe in proper context,
maybe you're right, you know, Jerraimeo may have been trying
to figure out who he was as a coach, because
coaching will force you to do that because you have
to deal with so many different personalities unless you're in
(20:05):
that position where you have to try to figure out
what that balance is when you're trying to create a culture.
It's very complicated in some regards because in building a culture,
you do have to find a way to make that connection.
Some people have more grace or have more credibility, so
the things they do they made Vrabel might be doing
(20:28):
the same exact things Gerii Mayor is doing. I mean,
they were in the same system. They came up in
the same system, even though Rabes played for a different
team before he played for the Patriots, but nonetheless they
both played a good bit of their time underneath Bill Belichick.
Gerrod spent time coaching with Bill Belichick. I almost feel like,
in context or out of context, it's like, oh, Gerard
(20:51):
Mayo's being a bully. Uh, he's not connecting with the
players this and that. Is there the possibility that the
players weren't connecting with him because there might have been
a lack of trust or a lack of belief because
he doesn't have that type of reputation. He doesn't have
the body of work that that a Mike Grabel comes
in with. So I just feel like it's kind of
interesting and the reason why I bring this up as
(21:13):
a point is, I'm not so sure that it all
changes because you have Mike Rabel. I'm not so sure
this becomes a top rated team, a team that's going
to win because of Mike Rabel being the coach there.
In context, short sounds good. He got into the fight,
he was in the mix of it, trying to break
it up. He comes out bloody. It's a great feel
(21:34):
good story. But I just think that I think it's better.
I think it's based in context and context.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Then T toes down this team.
Speaker 5 (21:46):
I bet this team finishes second the division.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
I bet you this team finishes with less than double
digit wins.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
It sticks picked.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
That's so that's such a bad deal.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
But let's pick with it in the division.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
So you got Miami, you got.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Tennessee over under draft.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
Jets, Miami and Buffalo and New England.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
Yeah, Buffalo will win it, Miami will come in second.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Okay, there you got who's those third? It's you for
you to pick. That's you know, I'm saying Tennessee and
the Jets. Yeah, I mean come on.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
No, who is it? New England and the Jets? Right,
That's what I'm saying. That's those are the last two remaining.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
You keep saying Tennessee. Tennessee's Nancy.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
I keep saying Tennessee. I meant to say, no.
Speaker 5 (22:34):
The af C South is the division you did not
pick last year.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
The division picks Nashville is a suburb right outside Boston.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
All right, everybody relaxing.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
I'm meant to say New England. But they're both irrelevant,
and one is connected to the other because rabel is
the head coach of both teams. Some hump, here's where
my my head is. Put some pol humps. I have
no problem putting it on pole humps. Y'all won't do
you go, y'all won't y'all would have been some pump
old humping mother efforts if y'all took the bet right now?
(23:03):
I gave y'all right now, okay, we did that. They
finished second, Jets. I'm betting they finished second. They will finish.
Pull humps on it.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Here's what's crazy. They will finish. Put five on it.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
They will finish last, because I think the Jets will
actually be somewhat better.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Put five on it.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Okay, five.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
You think the Patriots is going to be last in
that division? I'll take that.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Okay, there we go.
Speaker 5 (23:27):
Now we're talking.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Okay, now we're talking. I think they end up last.
Speaker 6 (23:30):
So all the all the Pats have to do is
finish better than last.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
No, No, the bet is is that they won't finish. Second,
the bet is that they won't. Hold on, hold on,
I'm making the bowl. They'll probably finished last, but they're not.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Make sure. Second, let's make sure we get this right.
Speaker 6 (23:48):
I'm not betting that they won't finish because if they
finished first some in some world where they would beat Buffalo,
then that also would fall in the category of you
wouldn't win that.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
That's well. Listen, yeah, we're going to bridge.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
We'll figure this out. We're gonna break, We'll figure this
out on the other side of it.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Does that sound good? That's fine?
Speaker 3 (24:10):
All right, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Let's get bloody, let's let's get let's get into the scrown.
So camps.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
So what started out is a camp I ended up
in sticks picks.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Ah. This is a hell of a segment here. It
is two pros and a cup of Joe.

LaVar Arrington wants to stand on it when it comes
to the New England Patriots. It's yours here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio
players LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you Hare,
Come on, we are we are going to get We
are going to get to the bottom of exactly how
the AFC East is going to look this year according
to this show coming up here in just a couple
of moments from now. But first it is time for
(26:07):
the tire Rack Play of the days fan Duel Sports
Network on the call.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
That is your tire rack play of the Day.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
For over forty years, Tirak has been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Shipped fast and freeback by free Road has a protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tire rack
dot Com the way tire buying should be. So if
you're just joining us, we were talking about Mike Rabel
jumping into a scrum in joint practices between the Patriots
(26:44):
and commanders yesterday and uh, Mike Rabele got a little
bit got a little bit bloodied. And so the conversation
turns towards the optimism around the Patriots. I'm optimistic, Rady's optimistic.
LaVar Arrington says they're gonna be one of the worst
teams in them.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Skeptical.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
I'm just always skeptical about quick changes without without real
what what is the proof? What was the reasoning behind
saying that there's just going to be this, you know,
dramatic shift, and and what their achievements and what their
accomplishments are. Some of the elements are too much the same,
Drake Main your two they went out and got aggressive
(27:28):
and free ad but you got a new you got
a new coach.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
He's with a new coaching staff.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Josh McDaniels.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
He's really good offensive coordinator.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
He's really good as a coordinator. That's that's fine, and
and has done well in Newing.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Okay, so what's the bet then? What's the bet?
Speaker 4 (27:45):
I'll say the safer bet for me is they won't
finish second second.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
I do believe that you can't.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
You can't phrase it that way, well like you have
to phrase it in a way.
Speaker 6 (27:55):
Where like if they finished first, we can't be penalized
for being like, no, we do think they'll finish second
or better.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
No, so what are you saying second?
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Second?
Speaker 6 (28:05):
Is I think they'll finish second. I'll put it this way.
The way you're saying it doesn't work for betting. So
how I'd say it is they will finish second or better.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Twins whenst that is great, that might be the bettest
one that that might be the best one.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
And it totally caught me off guard that as totally
who was responsible. They will be second or better from Quinn,
Brady Quinn, that was my.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Twins Whens, way way more relevant. That just gave me camp.
That's way better than any other.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
Ever had in the history.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Revant your mic off during breaks next time? Jeez, so
relevant must be hard looking like Brady Quinn. All right,
So so I'm taking I'm taking the under on that, right,
So let me just damn.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
There we go. You're saying the finished third or fourth?
Speaker 6 (29:11):
Yes, okay, I do want to throw on some stats,
just as I like doing stats. Right, Okay, Uh, they've
lost I want to say six or seven games last
year as a four win team, Number one score games.
Jonas talked about some of the additions they made. Obviously
Stefan Diggs. We'll see if two C plays a factor
or not, whatever the case may be. Adding him to
(29:32):
that wide receiver corps is much needed and it'll compliment
some young guys they've got who are still kind of
blossoming right tomorrow. Douglas has flashed, Kayshawn Bouett has been
you know, he's been a part of that. This is
a team though, with Hunter Henry and some other pizza
tight end too. They've got enough and with McDaniel's calling plays,
(29:54):
this would be a better offense defensively. Last year bottom
half of the league. It's tough too though, when you're
playing with an offense that's really struggling to score and
where the writing feels like it's on the wall. It
felt like that team was at a state of disarray
at times without drawd mail handle things.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
So to me, I look at it, I think this will.
Speaker 6 (30:13):
Be a team that's much improved, not only in the roster,
but not only the management of the team, but then
how this team is going to operate and how this
team is going to perform. And by the way, the
last thing I'd say is they have the third easiest
schedule in the entire NFL.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
San Francisco is the easiest. They're right there at number three.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
So that sets up for me for the Patriots to
be a team that finishes second and does take that
leap compared to the Jets, compared to the Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (30:47):
Somebody got it out for you. Bruh, what's happening right,
Somebody's got it out for you, Brady.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Quick special, because it's all it's the way to not
absolutely not Lorena, bre Do I have anything?
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Lorenda?
Speaker 5 (31:06):
Who comes up with this?
Speaker 1 (31:07):
I believe I do. According to the text chain it
was ve there's some options. Miss one is payback, there's more,
there are more? Oh how many?
Speaker 4 (31:21):
Oh we're not telling you today. All right, let's do it.
Let's spind the chain. Let's let's make a bet on this.
How many more do you think there are? There are
plus one? Plus one is the it's the number for betting,
saure do you think never would.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
Venture down the stroad? I'm scared at this point.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
I would say both of those are the are better
than the original.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
The original that had the Mario Brothers theme. It just
didn't terrible it just wasn't wins wist.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
I mean, it just seems so generical now looking back
on it. From the first we've got, from the last
two that we're just played, we've got rating men and
that was the best one. Multiple moans, the moans and
groans is good just because you know, that's how these
girls be looking at Brady and guys. I'm sure, but
that last one was kind of relevant in context. That
(32:18):
is true. Hey, a great point. It must be nice
to be Brady quick. All I'm gonna say here is
a lot of the things that that you said are
based off of hope, so's.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
You know, this is you know, actually it's actually all factual,
Like no, it's schedules, not like an opinion, that's just
the reality of how they construct.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
Yeah, but but based off of if Stefan Diggs will
be this, and if they manage the team and if
McDaniel McDaniels calls the games.
Speaker 6 (32:49):
When you say that's the case with every team when
you're predicting something in the future.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Yeah, sure, but but some more than others. All right,
So someone in Miami right now with the Jets, go
with the Jets of my Yeah, but I would say
that there's still more stability and familiarity that's that exists
in Miami than what exists in New England.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
So I'm Daniel's make or break years it could.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Be and and once you have that that awareness of
where you're at and what your accomplishment level is, their
make or break season is based off of them getting
further along in the season, most likely more than likely
the playoffs. So if you are if, I just I
think it's different as hypotheticals that got to play out
for New England, and that leaves skepticism for me because
(33:33):
I just don't feel like ifs I got to see
IFS play out before I'm a believer of what they're
going to do all right.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
On DraftKings Division Winner odds for the AFC East, the
Bills are a minus three ten So that's the biggest favorite.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
In the league. Uh and and for good reason.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
The Patriots are second at plus four seventy five. Oh wird,
The Dolphins are third at plus nine hundred ridden and
the Jets are fourth at plus eighteen hundred.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
I think I think the Dolphins pick is a money pick.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
Sticks pick, that's a money pick.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
Yeah, I think that's a money pick. I I certainly
will not win the Oh gosh, why do you do
that every time? It happens to because in your mind
it's you cocking a rifle? Huh cocking?
Speaker 5 (34:27):
When's the last time you even shot a gun?
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Jonas? Have you ever shot a gun?
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (34:31):
Every time I do curls. Oh gosh, what type of
gun is that? What type of guns?
Speaker 1 (34:45):
All right?
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Get a nosebleedy climb up here that when you flex
both of your muscles, it kind of just stole my buddy,
you look like a hanger.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
He definitely, it.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
Looked like that a memorial I can't buy. No, I
don't you killed it? You killed the whole entire move well,
third place or worse. It is two pros and a
cup of joe.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Here on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Knox with you here. By the way, can we just
copy and paste this when we're doing our season picks
for the AFC East so.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
That we woul don't have to redo it again. Let's
just do that. Let's get creating, and I'd.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
Like to go to my records and everything and take it.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
Who will have the better record, Bill Belichick or Mike Rabel.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
Well, the tough thing is one team plays seventeen games.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
One doesn't.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
So yeah, but in kind of you know, context, like
or in proportion's sake, whatever, the college season represents very able.
What the NFL season? Their wind titles the hundred, like
you know the percentile, like will they be over fifty percent?
Their win totals sixty win totals eight and a half?
(35:52):
What is Carolinas? Do we know?
Speaker 5 (35:54):
If I had a guess, I bet it's also at
eight and a half.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
So they're predicting them to have a better season.
Speaker 6 (36:01):
Then I actually think he's got a very winnable schedule.
It's gonna come down to quarterback plays. It mostly does,
but the kickoff versus at home, versus TCU, then they
play at Charlotte, it's a winnable game. I mean TCU
should be a winnable game too, especially if their quarterbacks
distracted by anything furry. Let's see Richmond. I mean again,
(36:23):
should win that game at UCF Week four, that's probably
the toughest game to start off. They've got to buy
before Clemson that they host, and that's by far and
away the.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
Most difficult game.
Speaker 6 (36:34):
They should at cal Virginia at Syracuse. That'll be a
tough one. Even though they've kind of had the retool
rebuild Stanford, same thing they've laid down at Wake, Duke
at UNC. I mean it, it really sets up Duke was
good last year. They you know, like the kid they
brought in from Totlanta quarterback. That'll be another tough one.
They've got three tough games. They've got to buy before one.
(36:56):
And yeah, I think there they could be a eight
to nine one team.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Quinn sweats, You'll be a Winn Chappelle.
Speaker 5 (37:07):
It's my favorite one.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
I thought it was Obama.
Speaker 5 (37:13):
No, it's Ve Chappelle.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Quinn Swetts, You'll be a winner. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Uh Well their wind total North Carolina seven and a
half on DraftKings, So okay, I.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Think that's on that. Yeah, I think it's a good number,
but I'm I will take the over on that.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
I actually believes.
Speaker 4 (37:32):
Yeah, I actually believe Carolina will have a respectable year.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
I really do.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
Just all that young energy that that Bill Belichick is bringing,
that aura, I just think that that's what it's going
to be.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
Great call.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Yeah, two pros and a cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming

Guys excited to be here.
Speaker 10 (39:05):
I always had a lot of fun with the smelling
salts controversy.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Yesterday I listened to it. That was really good.
Speaker 10 (39:12):
But the NFL p A clarified the league's new rule
and actually said that they're not prohibited from They're prohibited
from using it and supplying it, but it doesn't actually
stop players from actually using it or buying it themselves.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
So as long as you bring your own right, that's
what it is. Why oh ye.
Speaker 10 (39:33):
B y s s polog.
Speaker 5 (39:37):
By awesome, bye awesome.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
I'm sure it's important like that for some people to.
Speaker 5 (39:44):
Do it, Like what by awesome?
Speaker 1 (39:47):
I don't be I just don't. I don't understand. So
they just don't want to be held accountable.
Speaker 10 (39:55):
For responsible, like held responsible like.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
If some guy has a seizure, they're gonna be hey,
not our salts.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
It's all about liability, man.
Speaker 6 (40:02):
Like at some point you're gonna realize attorneys have ruined
this world, all right. Everything that we have to do
for precautionary reasons is from some attorneys.
Speaker 5 (40:11):
Like you know, you could you could lose your you
could get sued.
Speaker 6 (40:15):
You you better, you better think about putting a clause
in here, you better think about changing that contract.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
You better adjust something here in the collective.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Bargaining agreement, or somebody's already sued over some type of
some side effect or something and they're like, oh, here's you.
Speaker 6 (40:31):
Better not get hostile to seven on seven tournament with
the guy with an oh.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
No what that
Speaker 4 (40:39):
Very passive, aggressive, horrible Brady Quinn horrible
