And how the hell we feeling here on this Thursday morning?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Why? Why am I here?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
What's wrong? What happened?

Speaker 4 (02:11):
I'm just tired?

Speaker 1 (02:12):
You go to ten?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Why you may believe I am this this old ass
party animal.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
I was working yesterday and I'm tired. What what were
you tired today?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Tire boss?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
My age is catching up to me. Fellas you know, yeah, anyway, come.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
On, what so what I mean, you're not gonna fill
us in No.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
I was talking to you know, you know, we launched
Roar plus Penn State's uh, you know, school content Hub,
and it's just been it's been a lot. It's been
a lot of talking, a lot of meeting talking to
student athletes. Because of student athletes and content, you know,
it's a lot of talking to the coaches. I sat

(03:04):
with coach Mike Gambino last evening, the baseball coach sat
with the golf coach yesterday evening as well. So it's good,
it's good. Just tired, that's all.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
You hate golf though, I don't like golf.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I'm not a golfer. But that doesn't mean that there
isn't supporters and lovers of the sport.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
That's true, that's true, But that means that means the
roar sounds a.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Little bit different. You know.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
For football, you're like, for golf, you're.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Like, well, I'll say this, the roar is the same
because I support all of our student athletes. It's just
the intensity level of the conversation with him, yeah, versus
the one with other ones. Yeah yeah, yeah. But good
thing is my partner. He's a big, avid golf fan,

(03:57):
so they were. They were mucking it up the whole time.
So it's not like he felt left out. Yeah, don't as,
I said, I want to start. You know what he said,
he said, don't do it. He said, my personality type
would not be conducive to golfing. He said, don't do
it if you don't, if you don't really want to.

(04:19):
So I was. I felt like that was great, great advice.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
You know.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Then I talked to your girl. Yesterday, I talked to
Dall's so we had a great conversation.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
So that was cool. There's a lot going on in
State college. Man. Man, I don't think it was Stacey.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
I don't think it was Stacey. Idiot Jonas, just letting
you know I was not. It was a different one.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
What's her name?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Nah, I didn't say what's her name? You said you
threw a name out there. I just said I spoke
to q's q's homie, and you know, we did our interview.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
It was good. You know, I did a good interview.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I know this college football's back, baby, I mean it's
been right. But we are locked and loaded filled to
the brim. We got what seventeen games on the slate
later today?

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Too many?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I mean there's only one that's in the top that's
in a top twenty five team as of now. Okay,
but who cares about all that?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
All right?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
This is I mean we are clear sailing after this,
We are coasting after this, all the first of stories
we've had to get into.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Don't don't sit here right now and degrade all the
games that are going on tonight. I mean, you've got
all sorts of different storylines with these games. If you
want to, I can go through it now. We can
wait till later, But do not downplay debuts all sorts
of different teams that are playing. I mean Boise State,
who is twenty fifth the country, the only ranked team
you mentioned, they might be a team that's playing for

(05:57):
a playoff spot. So don't sorry. I mean, there's the
way there's some other sleeper teams too, and so the
Power four conferences you got to keep an eye on.
So I am not like Jonas, I'm sort of right
off there's only only one rig team. No, these are
They're great matchups all across the board.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Hey, I'm all about week zero Week one, Like this
is this is my kind of football, Okay, sort of
under the radar, just throwing why is it.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Under the radar? Though?

Speaker 2 (06:26):
I think the Nebraska Sinsey game is going to be
a cool game. I think Wyoming Akron will be a
cool game.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Is Minnesota is that just tradition? Minnesota opens up on
Thursday night? Is that just now become par for the
course with them, because I.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Mean it seems like a partnership with Fox at this
point because we always get to you. By the way,
Minnesota is a sleeper team in the Big Ten and
one day they've got some guys coming back. The other
thing I think you got to keep an eye on
is you got a really soft schedule. I mean, they
legitimately could be a one lost, two loss team in
the Big Ten. When it's all said and done, prepare

(07:03):
yourself for that moment where PJ. Flyack and the Minnesota
Gophers are rowing the boat.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Baby.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Got to row it.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Your baby gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Like.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
That's cute. Yeah, football, row that boat.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
Yeah, I mean you got to. Yeah, that's all forget.
Eddie George is now coaching so Bowling Green.

Speaker 6 (07:30):
They're taking on which is you should know about Lafayette?
Do you not know about that? They played football in
p A. But I don't think they will be able
to deal with Bowling Green.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
You know what about the return, good little start, the
return of Scott Frost.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Have you said that? Yeah? I mean some great storylines.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Man, it went so smooth.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
I'm telling you it's gonna be great games tonight.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah. Now, speaking of college foot all, we did good
news yesterday Fox and YouTube TV.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Fox They've you.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Know, we've got a temporary agreement in place. All right,
We're gonna be able to watch these games. We're gonna
be able to see this game coming up. People that
are YouTube TV subscribers, They're not going to be scrambling
to try and find it. Don't worry. They're going to
figure out a long term deal moving forward. But the
press release yesterday, the statement from YouTube TV goes as follows.

(08:32):
According to YouTube TV, we have reached a short term
extension with Fox to prevent disruption to YouTube TV subscribers
as we continue to work on a new agreement. We
are committed to advocating on behalf of our subscribers as
we work toward a fair deal and we'll keep you
updated on our progress. Listen whatever, say whatever you want,

(08:55):
just don't screw anybody over this weekend. We've dealt with
it the past couple of years. Now we've got this.
We've got some time here to work through this, and
we're going to be able to see that game, big
noon kickoff, everything that comes along with it, uninterrupted coming
up on Saturday. Good news for all involved. So everybody, But.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Will we have Portnoy? I mean portn Oi will be there? Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
No, one said he's not going to show up or
be a part of the show. There's just limitations on
what Barstool's able to do. They're obviously not able to
bring their college football show, which is unfortunate. I mean,
Ohio State's handle alone on Barstool has over one hundred
and eighty seven thousand followers, so they're not allowed to

(09:42):
bring their show, and then I guess Dave Portnoy is
not allowed to come into the stadium, which again, it's
not a it's not a Fox thing. No, it's definitely
confirmed it's not a Fox thing. Can we guess live there?
We'll do this with Pete Prisco and Brady's real good
at pinpointing and predicting exactly what Prisco's going to say
before it happens. Albert Breer is an Ohio State cabana boy,

(10:06):
and he loves his buck eyes.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Can we predict what Albert Breer's response will be to
this controversy because I'll say this, I believe even Albert Breer,
who loves that program, is going to say, yeah, this
is a soft look. Do you guys agree or do
you think he's going to go down?

Speaker 5 (10:27):
I think he'll say it is stupid, not soft. So
I think he's gonna go that direction with it because
I think some people have challenged him about it sounding soft,
and he's he's refuted that, So we'll see, Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
I think though, I don't think he'll go with I'm
I'm confused or or not sure about it because I'm
in his mind and in his heart. Probably more so
in his heart, he has some type of a justification
that he just does not want to disclose or needs

(11:05):
to disclose just based off of credibility's sake, right Like,
but on the inside, the fanboy of him is like
it's because he's a piece of ass or something like that.
But he can never disclose what he truly feels about it,
you know what I mean, Like in his mind, he's like,
if they made the decision, it was cause it was

(11:25):
the best decision for the Ohio State Buckeyes to win
another national title.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
You know.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
That's like in my mind, I feel like he's going
to give us a I just didn't understand it. But
you know, I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason. He
may not say perfectly good reason, but I don't understand
why it may have happened.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
Might be you know what he uses, the words he
may use. That's my prediction.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Yeah, I mean, what if what if Ohio State loses?
You know, like what if they go out and get
stomped out?

Speaker 4 (11:56):
And that's very that's that's very feasible.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
When good teams played this early, that's a feasible that
could be a feasible ending. I mean, it's not not
beyond the rama possibility.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
I think what's interesting is you're going to have people saying, like,
was Ohio State two focused on Dave Portnoy and everything
that didn't matter about this game as opposed to Texas.
That would be what I think a lot of people
draw conclusion.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
To and how it happen.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Would that be, you know, to be so focused on
something else besides the number one team.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
In the country, Right, Are they going to be doing
anything special? Are they raising a banner? Are they doing
anything to the championship?

Speaker 5 (12:44):
I mean, ring presidence, They'll definitely, yeah, they'll definitely be
some moments for the National Championship to you know, for
that presentation. They will be because there's a number of
guys who are in town for it. They're also you know,
Lee Corso is kind of having his fair well, which
is gonna be a dice moment, So all those things
are gonna be on display, you know what what actually

(13:06):
happens though during the game. I mean, that's that's all
I'm most curious to say. I was talking with a
an NFL coach last night, and he's got a little
intuition into this matchup, and he was just saying, how
like he even mentioned it. He's like, I'm concerned they've
got their their focus on the wrong things. And he said,
this is a really really talented Texas team and if

(13:29):
they're not careful like I mean, and Paul Finebaum said
it and then looking but whether or not you want
to say Paul Finebaumb's an SEC thumper. Did some people think.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
He does hate on the ten? But whatever, whatever, I think.
I think I think Texas is going to be good there.
That it's a really really fast team. They're fast on offense,
they're super athletic on defense. Always have been really really
strong up front. They always bring bring some some big,

(14:01):
big holds up front onder d line. I mean their defensive,
I mean their strength and conditioning program has been pretty phenomenal.
And I think sark Is, I mean, he's poised to
have a really really great year.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Man.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
You know, I just interviewed him not too long ago.
We had a great conversation and he just seems like
he was really happy. U We talked about you know,
his you know, his life in football, his journeys, you know,
the the ups and downs of his coaching career, and
and where he's at currently. And he seems like he's
just a guy that that really has achieved maybe that

(14:40):
balance that you look for, that that leads to you
having you know the type of success that you're looking for.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
He felt like they were really close last year.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
He asked him what was in his glass on the sideline?

Speaker 4 (14:52):
You know, I should have asked him. I should have.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
He's a pretty cool dude. Man, He's a he's a cucumber.
You know, he's definitely cool as a cucumber. So I know,
I feel good about Texas this year. But I gotta
tell you, man, it's always about Ohio State until it's not.
You know, it's it's just that's what it is. They've
earn't that. You know, Ryan Day is a premier coach.

(15:21):
I find it funny he will be on the hot
seat if something goes wrong. But dude, as a coach man,
and and he has presence, he's got that aura about him,
and and so.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Does Ohio State. Bro.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
You think the hot seat if they lose the Texas,
you know, hot seat is always like you know, like
just a relative term like.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Literally and figuratively. I don't, I don't. I think more
figuratively than literally, you know, I.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Know, I know, I know. But that's that's Ohio State.
Like people panic when you're like the best of the bad.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
And when we have this conversation all the time too,
like they lose one game, it's like, oh, they gotta go.
It's coaching. They gotta go. What's what's next for us? Like,
I don't get it. I don't get it. It's just
some programs like even Harris.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
Said, state a seven year extension in like February. Yeah,
I don't think this one.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
It's yeah, it's not sensible and it's not feasible. It
doesn't make any sense. But the fan base always calls
for certain people. In Ohio state is one of them.
They call for your head on one loss. They they
lose their minds on one loss.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
It might be more so if you lose to Michigan
because John Cooper won hundred games and that's over his ass.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
They wanted to be over when you lose to Michigan.
If you lose a game, mark my words. If they
if they lose, watch what the headlines are and look
out the message boards. I mean maybe it's like just
a fan thing, but fans call for their head.

Speaker 5 (17:09):
Reality to it.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
I mean, no, I don't either.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
I don't either, But can you mentionine the reality is the.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
Half million per year? Like who's going to write that check?

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Who's that payout? Yeah? What's that payout? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:22):
I get it, you can't do it, But what's like
that ain't going to stop fans wanting it.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
Yeah, fans can be upset, but like unless they're willing
to write the check to move on from Lincoln Riley,
like he's he's your coach at Southern Cal.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
You'll start seeing them petitions. Sign the petition, donate so
we can get them out of here. Like that's that's.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
What t ten games in eight years.

Speaker 5 (17:45):
And by only four of them have been the mission.
If you look at the rest, like the other six,
it's he's a really good football coach. People people who
want them to move on from Ryan Day. I don't
know if there's many brain cells working like I really,
he's a great coach and he's just won a national
championship like I would. I would have a hard time

(18:06):
having any sort of conversation with someone where like they're like, no,
he needs to go. It's like we're not going to
agree on anything. Then, Like if if I can show
you the track record of success Ryan Days had and
you're gonna say you want to fire him, Like I
don't even want to talk to you about your favorite
ice cream flavor.

Speaker 7 (18:24):
I don't care, like what movies you like. I just
don't care, Like I'm not gonna like any of your opinions.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
If that's that's not I have tried to have that
conversation with you guys repeatedly. But with that being said,
at the same time, we have the same conversation if
they lose to Michigan. I say, why, how can you
have a problem with Ohio State season because they won
the national title and you guys, you guys put it

(18:52):
out there that even in winning a national title, losing
the Michigan is probably bigger than then when the national title,
which to me I think is freaking absurd and crazy.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
But if that's the type of fan base.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
That you have, then it is not beyond the realm
of possibility that you will hear outcries for Ryan Day's
job if they were to lose the Texas on Saturday.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
That's that's the reality of that fan base.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
This Portinoy's story has confirmed that the game is more
important than the national championship game like this is confirmed
that because they should be I don't disagreement. They should
be celebrating. They should be, you know, like glorify, like
we mentioned it yesterday. They should welcome him in and
let him watch the pageantry, let him watch them celebrate

(19:43):
a national championship, and instead they're like, no, you can't
be here because you say mean things about us, and
you're Michigan and we haven't beat you in five years.
Like it's just the whole thing's bizarre. And so I
just wonder if they come out hint and they look bad,
you know, now the discussion becomes, Man, they made a
whole lot about one thing when really the focus should

(20:04):
have been on the other.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
And by the way, I'm not going to disagree with that.
I've tried to explain that to you guys, like growing
up in Columbus, Ohio, how much this rivalry means to
Ohio State. Even if you even heard words from one
of the Michigan players.

Speaker 7 (20:18):
You know, you were interviewing him talking about their matchup
versus New Mexico and he said something along.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
The lines of, now, it's just nice to be able
to hit someone else different colors, and like, well, how
do you get fired up for He's like, well, there
were in the FN same colors as Ohio States.

Speaker 7 (20:34):
So it's like, well, all right, right out the gate,
that's what we've got going on. So it's hard to explain.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
To people who like weren't born here around it, it
does matter a ton. I mean, it's why this whole
situation with Dave Portnoy and Ohio State is what it is.
I mean, I think some people would say, like, maybe
David taking some things too far made it personal, and
unfortunately that's kind of the d and a we're living

(21:00):
in now in social media, where if you want to
grab attention you have to do things that you know
people feel like are crossing the line and right, wrong
or indifferent. That's how people operate. But I'll just say this,
I'll never question the fan reaction to a loss. I'm
just saying if.

Speaker 7 (21:19):
Someone actually believes that, if they if Ohio State doesn't
be Texas, they actually believe.

Speaker 5 (21:25):
That, are going to turn around and say, oh, you
should be fired. Like it's I just It's why I
can't pay attention to that stuff. It's just there's no
sound thought to any of that.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Can we can we fake it on Monday with that
take and just see who runs wild with it, But
just do it.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
The knee reaction are making up people who like past
Buckeye greats, like quote Orlando Pace says, you know, if
you just start like naming off people that's not even true.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Like Craig Crenzel threw up in a bucket watching their
performance over the weekend, disgusted by what happen and just
make up.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
Speaking of throwing up in a bucket, Lee, did you
throw up the past couple of days? You're looking a
little pale.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
I heard his voice.

Speaker 8 (22:08):
No, no, no, chunks blown my way.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
Better today than yesterday.

Speaker 8 (22:14):
I did have some bubble guts earlier this morning, and
I just took care of that.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
But he sounds so sad and subdued when he's not
fired up.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Man, I don't I don't.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Don't rather have drunkenly than than soberly sober today.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Yeah, hey, he was telling me. He was telling me
before the show that he had a Panda Express last
night with a soilup with a silver bullet, and uh,
he was wearing it a little earlier. So Loreina, beware,
you could have an issue pop up. I'm always prepared,
boy scouts, always prepared.

Speaker 8 (22:52):
I did take care of that that problem though, so
I think we're good to go.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
For the rest of the show. Are you a boy scout?

Speaker 9 (22:57):
Lee?

Speaker 1 (22:57):
I was, I was kicked out.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Then you're not really a boy scout. Don't you have
to finish it to be a boy scout?

Speaker 8 (23:02):
Well, no, you don't have to be an eagle scout
to be a boy scout. You know, boy scouts always prepared.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
They're like, is this beefeeder?

Speaker 5 (23:09):
And think it's work?

Speaker 4 (23:11):
They finished the program.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
They're like, this is this bee feeder in your cant
bee feeder?

Speaker 10 (23:19):
Gin?

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Guy, guy, gin in his canteen.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
If you if you did like karate, h and I
did get different differently, there you go. But you're not
a karate like you don't have a black belt. No, okay,
well you can't like consider yourself a certain degree of
karate just because you did it a little bit but
then actually didn't earn anything.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Well, the fact is that that I did it.

Speaker 8 (23:39):
I did do boy Scouts for quite a while. I
was the you know, I was in the Weblows and
finished that, and then I was in boy Scouts for
a while, and then I had football too much football
practice I couldn't go to They wouldn't want me to
be a boy scout anymore because I wouldn't go to
the media.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
Hold on, you're telling me football didn't want you to
be a boy scout. That we're gonna playing football for
the downfall of boy Scouts.

Speaker 8 (23:59):

was that I had football practice, so I wouldn't go
to the boy Scout meetings.

(29:10):
He's back. He is back with the Minnesota Vikings. One
of the worst kept secrets in recent weeks in the
NFL was that the Vikings were looking to add a
veteran wide receiver. You know, Jordan Addison's not going to
be around because you know, hey, I was licking the
lid a little bit too often and he got popped,
fell asleep, outside Lax while trying to get on a

(29:32):
freeway that hay when that happens. And then ron Dell
Moore suffered a season ending injury and so they needed help.
Adam Thlen was made available by the Carolina Panthers. They
swapped some draft picks and Adam Thlen will be tasked
with the opportunity and the job of helping young JJ
McCarthy as you get ready for the season, oper and

(29:53):
a little over a week away.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
Yeah, well, I don't know about concerning JJ is a
you know, kind of a rookie quarterback if you will,
and so and feeling's still been highly productive. And one
of the things I just say is having a veteran
guy like thelan who could be that safety valve for you.
A lot of people will say, like, oh, like your
tight end Felan has a slot or as you know,

(30:18):
whether number two, number three receiver, whatever he ends up
being as the season transpires, you know he's going to
be that safety valve for him. He's the type of
the guy and that on third down, he knows the
soft spots are on the zone. He knows how to
set up defenders versus man demand to get open on
third down in the red zone. Same thing, Like he'll
be where he's supposed to be, exactly where the quarterback
talks on him and where he wants to be. So

(30:41):
you know, he's the guy that's not going to get
as much attention as justin Jefferson, So he's going to
be the guy that I'm sure JJ McCarthy will lean on.
And in fact, I believe they were like training together
a bit too in some of the offseasons, so that
chemistry has probably come along somewhat naturally. But the general
point is this is big for a quarterback. Like I
remember when I got to Cleveland, Joe Jervisius was there,

(31:03):
and I loved Joe, Like Joe was great in every
capacity for quarterbacks because he tell you exactly what he
was seeing, exactly what he was thinking on a route,
or what a defense was doing, or how he you know, hey,
maybe maybe we should do it like this. You know,
all those things are incredibly valuable for a quarterback who's
trying to kind of find his way or trying to

(31:23):
learn more about like what's what what's the receiver thinking,
or what are some of the difficulties that they're having.
So I think This is a great move from Minnesota,
even better move for JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
How long is it Addison suspended.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
For three games?

Speaker 4 (31:36):
Do we know?

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Three games?

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Three games? I guess it's not that bad. I guess
it isn't long enough for it to be crazy concerned.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
I mean then bringing him back for the Dublin game,
that's kind of bad when you you know, like the
liverloop a little too much. Not a great place to
be welcome back in.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
I mean, we could joke about it all we want,
but Jordan Addison is a very very critical piece east
to the success of this offense. I mean, he's he's
a very very talented receiver, a very nice compliment to
to having obviously Justin Jefferson on.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
The other side.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
I think, again, it's a very very loaded roster. You know,
everybody knows. I'm high on Aaron Jones. I love his game,
I love his versatility. I think he will be the
singular biggest factor. I think him and and uh and
Hockinson his tight end. I think those two will be

(32:37):
his two singular most important weapons on offense as he
gets acclimated. And that's whether they had Jordan Addison or not. Yeah,
and you have add Atheling, and you do have Justin Jefferson.
You have a wealth of talent on this this Minnesota offense.
But I just think that we get sometimes a little

(33:00):
too comfortable with the idea of thinking that guys are
going to come in and just be able to have
success and have it at a high level and do
certain things well.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
These defenses will.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Be prepared to try to confuse and disrupt what JJ
McCarthy is coming to the table with, as mentioned, with
the youth and the lack of experience that he's going
to have, and I think it's going to be vitally
important for his reads to be quick, and it's going
to be vitally important for his ability to get rid

(33:33):
of the ball quickly to be present. And I think
that that's going to come with Aaron Jones and with
Hockinson is running back in his tight end.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
That's what I think.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Kind of sucks for Bryce Young like they had they
had a rapport.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
And that sucks. And Carolina Yeah, but like you know, it.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Felt like he was kind of turning the corner and
Adam Thelen was one of his bigger advocates there and
trying to help him do what rad he had laid
out that he's going to be doing for JJ McCarthy
and now he's gone.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
So it just sounds terrible to admit. Do you feel
like it's just a matter of time before there's just
sweeping changes in Carolina? Yes, I feel like that. I
feel like it's generally going to go there.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
So, and even though he was much improved when he
came back after Andy Dalton's car accident last year, I
just wonder if you know, the clock has already been
taken so long, there's not enough time to to get
it together. Because what would be considered successful in Carolina
this year? They win what seven games? I'll win? So

(34:34):
I got back to that and he's improved, But because
of the situation, it's just the book's been written and
then he just becomes the latest quarterback who gets drafted
into it an awful spot and he and he turns
into a journeyman all of a sudden, just kind of
a rough spot.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
To be in.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
Yeah, think about a feeling. I mean, he was on
pace to receive for over a thousand yards this past season.
He caught for over a thousand yards, even in that
terrible seas two years ago. He's still got it. You know,
he's still gonna be very capable of helping out pitching
in here.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
And by the way, you're vicious was six five.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
I forget what big boy yeah baby frishes, big boy.
That's a big dude, big big boy tang.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
They'd be making some big ass kids too, man, I'll
tell you that. Yeah we are. He's got some amazing,
amazing volleyball players too. Here what Lake, Hey, I'm the biggest,
the largest.

Speaker 5 (35:41):

More than everybody, good, mor than Jonas, Good morning, Brady,
Good morning LeVar.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
Guys, in case you.

Speaker 8 (37:38):
Missed at the NFL function, Malfunction has finally decided to
hand out a six game suspension to mister Rashi Rice
for violating the league's personal conduct policy, obviously crashing his
Lamborghini in the Dallas area, leaving several other people injured.
And of course he still got that thirty day prison
sentence that he has to eventually decide when he wants

(37:58):
to serve that.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Yeah, who's cause she's lawyer. Yeah, there's handing out bad
information there, Lee if you mentioned that, like, I'm gonna
serve six games. Oh and by the way down the road,
here's thirty days in prison.

Speaker 4 (38:14):
Well, hey, I feel like a long time.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Yeah, Cutler, that's I mean, Cutler going four days.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
That's going to for like a long time, especially if
he up in that Gen Pop. Yeah you know what
I mean.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
You want that, You don't want that Gen Pop find
you out in the yard.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
Hey, they put you out in that yard.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
That's the serengetti, and that's that's a different type of
serengetti than the football field.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Hey, speaking of the yard, you're getting in the yard today,
bar come get in the yard, come get come getting
the stream yard.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
I'm not I'm not getting in your yard today.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (38:51):
I might? I might, truly, I know we'll.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
See you don't want to see Lee? What's the problem man?
Getting the yard?

Speaker 4 (39:01):
Miss your face getting in the yard?

Speaker 1 (39:04):
What else we got Lee?

Speaker 8 (39:05):
Well, guys, if in case you missing, Kaitlyn Clark just
missed her sixteenth game after suffering a groin injury. Lisa
Leslie was on ESPN and gave her take on what
the Fever should do with Kaitlyn Clark.

Speaker 9 (39:16):
You want to see Kaitlin Clark for the longevity of
her career. I'm just thinking me personally, I would not
put Kaitlin Clark back on the floor this season. And
the only reason why I say that is because I
had the injury that she had. You made one move,
one cut, boom, She's back in the same spot.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
Let me ask this because I saw this story and
I don't want to be disrespectful or sound like I'm
unprepared for the show. But I just want to ask you, like,
what is the WNBA BANG.

Speaker 4 (39:46):
The Mine's Basketball Association.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Oh yeah, I'm not that familiar, so I wasn't sure.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Yeah, that's where the pros go after college to continue
their careers, got it, you know? Yeah, I just wasn't
sure that's the WNBA.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Okay, sweet hey, But I'll say this there there.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
Finally, I'm if you if you were a Caitlyn Clark hater,
you know, I think you got to take into consideration
the importance of what she is now and the realization
of what she.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
Represents to your league, you know. And I'm I'm with
Lisa Leslie on that.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
If if you need to preserve her this season, to
make sure she can come back and not have to
miss any games due to health reasons and concerns, I
think you shut her down. She's too important to the
relevance of the league and it's too early in her career, yeah,
to have that tight setback.

Speaker 5 (40:48):
Ratings have dropped fifty for sure for the fever and
especially for nationally televised games actually over that over fifty percent,
and the WNBA All Star Game was down thirty six
percent from last year, so there's no doubt she carries
the league. She carries the anticipation, the viewership, everything else.

(41:10):
Now people will tell you that like the leagues continue
to you know, to grow, which ratings overall are up
from a year ago. However, when you take away Kaitlin
Clark's impact on it, it's been stymied in a huge way.
So again, I think there's some curiosity, some more people
are who are interested in it's growing, just not as
fast as a lot of people think, especially when you

(41:31):
don't have Kaitlyn Clark and some of the other stars
who have missed some time due to injuries.

Speaker 3 (41:36):
You know.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
You know what's weird about that ratings for the WNBA
in my house have stayed the same the entire time,
really at zero. Those ratings just zero, like I just
for whatever reason, like injury or not, like they've always
been consistent, just a straight zero. And with football here,
I got news for you you.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
Or are you talking about viewing?

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Damn?

Speaker 4 (41:55):
I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (41:59):
What else you got late?

Speaker 8 (42:00):
Well, guys, in case you missed it, we talked about
it the other day. Bill Belichick and UNC getting a
docu series on Hulu. Further news in the Bill Belichick
Jordan Hudson saga is that Jordan Hudson's Trouble Club Enterprise
Company has filed a trademark for the term gold digger.
The documents outlined that Hudson wants to use the controversial
term for jewelry and key chains.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
Get it, girl, I doubt she'll get that trademark.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
You don't think anybody has that trademark.

Speaker 4 (42:31):
Probably that somebody has that trade.

Speaker 5 (42:35):
We're a guy that preached for not to be a distraction,
not to allow the media all ust their stuff for
all of his players for over two decades. It's wild
to see the stuff that he lets her do. And
I think there's some other trademarks who they filed for that,
Like he's a part of chapel Bill, I think is
another thing that the illustrator or something. But it's wild

(42:57):
to see, like the personality of Bill Belichick outside of
not being New England Patriots head coach.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
Get a brand new ride when I dry fast, you know,
get it girl?

Speaker 4 (43:07):
Good for her?

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Oh God, all that bullying she got all off ecuse.

Speaker 4 (43:10):
Me money when anty, Oh she's a trifling hony. Oh
then on there ah now, oh May
