And a good morning to you and yours. How are
we feeling here?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
You guys, how are you feeling?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
I'm great man, Nothing like a little mediocre football on
a Monday night, you know, little mediocre performances all the way.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Defense defense, Oh yeah, it.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Kind of felt like bad.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Offense, bad offense, but it was still bad offense to
me equals good defense. If you had bad offense, it
was because well maybe for once, the side shows, the
side show Bob's had an opportunity to to steal the
show from you, spoiled ass pamper brats on the offense
(01:32):
side of the ball threw.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Yeah. Yeah, that's that's called defense.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
It's called defense.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
There's there's times where there's good defense, you know, when
you recognize, like, all right, that was a good play,
they made a good stop and all that that was
not that last night was bad offensive football.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Your opinion. My opinion is it was great great defense.
Defense prevailed last night over the snobs. And you know
what I'm going to stick with that. My man Jai
Air got got into the action. He got his hands
on a ball, you know.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
For him.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, yep, there were shots out the Jai Air brown
baby who play some defense? Defense, baby, defense.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, you want to hear.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Kyle Shanahan afterwards talked about the interceptions thrown by Brock
Purdy because he was serving him up last night and
he gave his.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Oppinal defense says, defense from last night.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
Just had three throws you'd love to take back. There
are all three good decisions, just a hair laid on them.
And when you're a hair laid on stuff, you can't
throw behind him. And he threw it behind him. And
all three guys made him pay. There's no narrative to
a late throw. You're just a little late. And when
you do, which people late a lot. You just can't
throw behind him when you are. You had to put
it in front of him, and he had a little
behind him on all three and all three of those
(02:57):
corners made him pay. You got to think about all
of them why it is happening.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
You know, it makes me a lot.
Speaker 6 (03:01):
More hesitant if they're all bad decisions and stuff. But
he was seeing it right. They're all really good decisions.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
You just missed the.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
Throw on them, So you know, I think it's it's
a lot worse when you feel like he's not making
the right decisions missing throws.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
You know, there you go. It sounds a good offensive
football and missing throws.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
There's a lot of truth. So funny, you know there
there could be truth to to what he's saying. But
he also gave credit to the corners in the secondary making.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
Yeah, except the gift got right in their bread basket, right.
The reality is, I mean, there's.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
A timing element to most offenses and when you are late,
like you just the one spot you can't throw is
you can't like, especially outbreaking routes, you can't put it
behind them if you put it, because think about it,
every defensive player is reactionary. You know, they're reacting in
particular dbs to what the route that's being run by
(03:57):
the wide receiver. So you put your base he throwing
it to a spot where the receiver was, now where
the dB is, and that's you know again, it's.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
A recipe for disaster.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
I thought, pretty last night, he just seemed like he
was still out of sync, out of rhythm. Like watching
him last night, I thought, I didn't think when he
initially came back, the time off hurt him. Last night,
I thought the time off hurt him.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
M Yeah, I thought George Kittle looked good. I say that,
I mean he he did pretty good. I mean c
Mac looked okay. You know, it wasn't a you know,
it wasn't a great, great, great day, but I mean
he looked pretty good and he was effective.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
One hundred and forty scrimmage yards.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah, well he didn't break a hundred Russian though.
Speaker 5 (04:49):
I mean yeah, overall total though, Yeah, he like led
the way without him there nothing, Yeah, it.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Was okay, It's okay. Effort it's okay, I'm not going
to give it a great day. Was it was good,
It was a good day, it was productive. But Carolina
just has no offense, Like their offense is very, very anemic,
and you don't have to have a great day out
there if Carolina's offense is going to be so inept
(05:20):
at what it is that they're doing. And I think
that that was to me, the bigger story of the
day or of the evening is against a depleted San
Francisco defense, Carolina's offense couldn't give you more than what
it was that they could give you in that game.
And granted they were on the road, I get that,
but I thought that was pretty telling even though we've
(05:43):
seen in you know, weeks past that Carolina can be
a competitive team, They can be a team that can
get after it and win win games. They played pretty
good defense, they gave their team an opportunity to on
offense give them more to try to win the game,
and that's not what happened. And I felt like that
(06:05):
was more of the storyline here, you know, is that Carolina,
how do you not have more to offer in a
game like that where you have two future Hall of
famers out in Bosa and Warner, how does that happen?
Like to me, I felt like that was the bigger question.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
And kind of Bryce Young's struggles that have I guess
people are gonna point to the most. I mean, t
Mac had some drops that didn't look you know, that
wasn't a great performance by him, and I kind of
felt bad for Carolina in that spot because I don't
remember the last time they've been featured on a Monday
night game where there were some positive vibes around the
(06:45):
organization that they had kind of turned the corner, and
then you come out and it was just lackluster. It
just seemed like and for those of you that had
Carolina plus seven and a half, apologies. You know, they
gave a little bit of a go there after the
McMillan touchdown, but unfortunately come up short on that missfield
goal by a wide margin. And next thing you know,
(07:06):
you're staring up at Tampa Bay still leading that division,
even though Tampa Bay is really as well too. So
it's just your typical NFC South performance.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
It felt like for me, well, they also have been
riding this wave almost the entire season, I mean, go
through the last I don't know what's six weeks. It's
a win loss, win, laws win law. I mean, that's
just how they've been playing offensively, though. I think you
look at their passing attack. I've said this when I
did the broadcast. I'll say this now every time I
watch them, there's just nothing else besides Teneroa McMillan. When
(07:40):
they're not running the football, they just they don't have
anything else they can lean on. And it's tough when
you were an offense and you're trying to draw things
up for guys, because it is a game of playmakers,
and if you don't have a bunch of those playmakers.
I mean, Jalen Cocher is starting to emerge as one
(08:01):
of their other guys that they're kind of trying to
lean on. Right now, Can you tell me where he's from, LeVar?
You know Jalen Coker's backstory, Like most people don't. Most
people have no idea like where he came from. He's
a Holy Cross kid from Holy Cross, So like you
look at that and you go all right, like this
(08:22):
is this is just gonna be tough to be able
to get this offense going. I just that's that's my
biggest issue is when when everyone wants to be critical
of Bryce Young and what he is and what he is,
and like I go back and say, well, he's got
the capability, like you see the touchdown throw a Tederrone
mcmill and you go, okay, he can push the ball downfield.
They just don't have any when they've been able to
(08:43):
get going to stretch the field, Like Jimmy Horn Junior's
got a ton of speed, they just haven't been able
to get him in the you know, in the offense
as much. So to me, like I'm a little bit
of a loss because I don't know how you change
it outside of continuing to build around him to give
him more.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Or bringing Jimmy Horne Junior along.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
But like Xavier Legatt has not become this splip to
the player they thought he was going to become.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
You know, I thought, right now.
Speaker 5 (09:11):
They would think they have two big, physical number one
wide receivers, And unfortunately, right now tedor Rone mcmonillan as
a rookie is the only one who's really kind of
emerged as that guy.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
If you put Bryce Young in the Shannan system, if
you swapped quarterbacks, what sort of results are we looking like,
like I said, how much of a difference would there
be between Brockberty and Bryce Young.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
I don't know if there's a huge difference either way.
It's not like pretty slight light in the world on fire.
You know, they're in a very similar situation. You know,
outside of McCaffey, you're doing everything you can get the
ball to, like who scares you a wide receiver for them,
like Kittll obviously is a really impactful tight end, but
Juwan Jennings, I mean he's taking nutshots last night for
Kilan Moore. You know, Ricky Piersall is a first round
(09:57):
pick that's still trying to become that. But I like,
you go through both rosters and you see why it's
a low scoring.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
Quote unquote defensive game.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Neither of these offenses have much of a second act besides.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
Let's try to run the football.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
Let's get the football to a running back, and we've
got some compliment he plays off of that to Juwan Jennings,
Tetron McMillan, or name your other piece in the offense. Yeah,
but that's really like what they are.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
And the Brandon Aiyuk contract has been a disaster and
now they're you know, they're gonna avoid his guarantees for
next year and they're just gonna cut ties with him.
So whatever the hell that was and that decision to
give him that money, he got hurt early on in
the contract. Apparently he's not showing up to team meetings
and missing a bunch of stuff. They expected him back
on the field by now, and so we're just gonna
(10:46):
up and vanish like a fart in the wind when
it comes to his time with the Niners. So that's
fun stuff for the Niners passing attack. You mentioned the
nut shot, by the way, Juwan Jennings responding to that
nut shot that he received by treyvon Merrik. Kyle Shanahan
talked about how proud he was of Juwan Jennings waiting
(11:07):
until after the game in order to respond in the
last series.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Yeah, the guy took a cheap shot and hit him
in the balls, And he's real proud of Juan for
now losing his mind out there and get him to
the sideline.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
So we've got a Jamar Chase spitting on guys, we
got guys taking nutshots.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
What's going on? We just at that time of the year.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Tell me what's happening var because I'm sure you either
got hit the nuts or you hit some of the nuts.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Well, I've told I've never done like anything like that.
Told you it's more paddle up driven.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
With me, this would be a great would you rather?
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Would you rather get spit on or nutshot? I'd take
the nut shot. I don't I don't want to get
spit on.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
But no, And it's so painful that for that short
amount of time that it is experience.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
But I think the feeling of getting sped on, I'll.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Be honest, I'll be honest, I works for both. Mark
was talking last Saturday on our show. He was, you know,
doing a spiel whatever he was talking about, and at
one point I was like a lot of boys, Okay,
I feel like I just got to spit on, you know.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
I didn't say anything to react to it. I had
to just stand strong through it. But he had a
I'm just telling you.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
It feels so And that wasn't even a hawk two wee.
That was just probably exactly talking and the spit from
his mom saying the words that he was ample from
exactly right.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
And I was thinking, if I felt it, it was
probably like big enough where maybe you could have caught
it on camera.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
So then I'm like, I'm like, do I react to
I not react? I just got to not react, right,
I mean, I know, the sunlight it hit at the
right angle, probably could look like a You know.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
I'm proud of you for not reacting, But I gotta
tell you, by the time you were able to get
to it and wipe to it, you had already absorbed it.
Isn't that disgusting? Like, I'm just I'm just telling you,
I'd rather get nutshot than get spat on, Like and
even a casual I'm talking, and the spit is hitting
(13:19):
you in the face. It's just it's not okay. It
is not sanitary. It's okay. Yeah, but you're not going
to catch nothing from from getting punched in the balls. Like,
there's there's the possibility you could get a growth. You
could get a growth on your face, you know what
I mean. Like, you don't know what his mouth's been doing,
(13:41):
you know what I mean? Yeah? Growth?
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Wait, so you think you think a little spit in
the midst of a conversation would result in some sort
of a growth.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
You just never know, Man, I don't I don't put
anything past anything or anyone. I mean, what sort of
your bodily fluids? Man, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yes, we got like gremlin saliva, like they just sort.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Of multi bro. You just you just never know. Don't
k act like it can't happen. It's always it couldn't
happen until it happens. And if it were me, I
would have wipe my face off and been like, hey, Mark,
say it player, I want the news and not the
weather today to day for precipitation. Bruh.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
You can't interrupt someone like that in the middle of it.
But I get what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
My thing is, oh gosh, Okay.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Here's the other part of the question is what's your reaction?
Speaker 5 (14:36):
Are you more apt to fight in both circumstances, because
after a nutshot, if it's really good, you're probably down
for a little bit. Yeah, so your media reaction can't
really be to fight someone like as much as Kyle
Shanahan want to be like, oh, you know, I'm glad
he lose his mind out there, it's like, dude, you
hit the nuts.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
It's a good thirty for you know ya seconds?
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Two minutes pause.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Yeah, you're not gonna you're not gonna do anything anyway.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
You know it's gonna pause you. I gotta say, even
the approach after the game was kind of feeble though.
You know, don't work, you know, don't don't don't wait
to work if the work is gonna look like that
when you get to going, like like, you gotta get
after it. You gotta make that man pay for what
(15:23):
it is that he did. And what was it that
didn't like, didn't look like that looked like he got
a hold of dude. Dude was like, man, get out
of here. I ain't doing nothing. And then his teammate,
you know, yokes yokes him up and like pushes him
off and like looks at him like, hey, man, don't
bring that over here. You get slapped out doing stuff
like that around here around these parts, you know what
(15:44):
I mean, Like you can't be an aggressor of getting
a nutshot and then you get punked at the top
of it, Like, no, that can't be it. You got
to you got to do some Andre Johnson type action
on on your boy in the secondary, start dropping bombs.
Don't go up there like that. Man, To all y'all
(16:05):
out there, I don't condone violence I don't condone fighting,
but if you are meeting somebody after the game for
something that they did to this level of this capacity,
like spitting on you or punching you in your nuts,
you make it count. Don't don't get a second al
Don't don't take that second al man for the sake
(16:25):
of trying to redeem the first one. Like it's not
good math, It's not it's not good arithmetic, guys, Just
just keep that in mind.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Tell you what it is good home depot because you
can get tools to perform at the highest level on
every job without compromise. When you shop Makeda at the
home depot and the job calls for the best call
on Makida built to be the best available at the
home depot, how pros get more done?
Speaker 3 (16:48):
You got Jangles playoff?
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Oh we believe in San Francisco. Say I'm they're an
eight and four.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
No, the way to be.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
A playoff team?
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Fools gold good.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Put them in good record though some categories of Jags
we're good.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
It's a good record though.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
If you look at their schedule the rest of the way,
they are getting at least two more wins.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
They're gonna get the ten they got.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
They're playing in Cleveland, Tennessee at Indy Chicago.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
It ain't gonna be an easy win now that Shador
Sanders is out there.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Oh hell yeah, play the music right now. That's right.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Hey, man, don't don't use Cleveland as a punchline these days. Man,
you know, is that up out of the garage? Now?
Play off?
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah, he only needed one week of practice.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Getting that work. What's your door? Perfect time, it's perfect timing, y'all. Yeah, yes, gone,
that's unfortunate.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
I mean they're gonna get the ten wins.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
I know that.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Yeah, that is unfortunate.
Speaker 5 (18:00):
Take any two of their next five. That's they're gonna
win two more. They get the ten and ten and seven.
I think that gets them in right.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, well they listen, we'll get to
see brock Purty.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
And uh their fools.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
More more mediocre play in the postseason.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Apparently, don't on that stop sell that stock, sell that stock.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Yeah, the Niners are a minus seven hundred on DraftKings
to make the playoffs, So just go ahead and slot
them in now, Yeah, it's you will.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Make the playoffs. They just going and get belt the
ass by somebody. Yeah, probably, I see it first round too.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
And speaking of ass, by the way, get your ass

(22:20):
We've got another edition of In case you missed it
coming up a little over fifteen minutes from now. Stop
me if you've heard this before, stop good. JJ McCarthy's
banged up. He is in concussion protocol. He reported symptoms
on the flight back from Green Bay, So the Vikings
quarterback situation was.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
A little bit up in the air.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Max Brosmer will get first team reps if JJ McCarthy
does indeed miss time. He's missed a lot of time
throughout the course of his career, and as Pete Prisco
pointed out, it's really not gone well for him as
quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. So I always kind of
felt like this year was a work through the struggles
(23:06):
with a young quarterback. But this is the development year,
and I just don't know that they're any close to
having the answer as to whether or not he's their
guy with how much time JJ McCarthy has missed and
always played.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Yeah, I mean again, the play has been poor, and
on top.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Of that, he's dealt with kind of being in and
out and all of that, and obviously after missing last year,
your hope is that he'd be a little bit further
along at least from what you're seeing on the field,
and you just you're not seeing that right now. It
makes the little whole alter Ego nine like kind of
even more cringe, as as var would say after seeing
that video. But outside of what they're win risk Detroit,
(23:48):
I think that's his high mark. That was kind of
like the most exciting kind of moment for him. I'm
not sure.
Speaker 4 (23:54):
I you know, there's.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Many takeaways like this This season feels like it's kind
of a waste for Minnesota outside of his development, and
they need him playing if they want to see what
they have in him and if they can figure out
if he's the guy in year three and if not,
you know, he's going to be battling a quarterback battle,
which I think is probably going to happen regardless.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
Yeah, so I wouldn't be confident in trusting if this
experiment project can work another season, not without having Maybe
I don't even know that you say an insurance policy
at this point in time. I think you have to say,
(24:36):
you know, realistically what we were able to do a
year ago when he finds himself injured, not playing and
we had one of the more impressive years. I mean,
I think most people would say, conventional wisdom wise, they
should have held on to Sam Darnold and there would
have been nothing wrong. And I know it sounds crazy,
(24:56):
but there would have been nothing wrong with giving JJ
mc arthy another another year to continue to build on
his health, build on his alter ego so that when
he eventually gets into the games it's a little bit
better for him. I really believe it would have did
(25:18):
the Vikings a lot of good, and it would have
did JJ McCarthy a lot of good to have more
time to continue to learn the game. You're looking at
the Green Bay Packers be a direct benefactor to doing
it this way. And maybe it isn't always the most
comfortable thing to do because people want to put pressure
(25:40):
on you to play the draft pick like I get that,
but sometimes you got to be able to stand in
there and for what it's worth, if you have maybe
the same type of season close to what you had
with Sam Darnold the year before. Granted he tailed off
a little bit at the end, I get it, but
it's much better than what they're doing right now. I mean,
(26:00):
they were one of the hotter teams in the league
for most of the regular season. So to me, I
felt like that was the biggest the biggest mistake that
the Minnesota Vikings made, And now you have to live
with the idea that this was a season, as you
just mentioned, it's a wasted season. It's a wasted season
on the talent that you have with this team, and
(26:24):
it becomes considered largely in part, a very very disappointing
season in terms of how do we view this Minnesota
Vikings team moving forward. So I don't think that there's
any comfort level in coming back with JJ McCarthy being
your starter. You got to try to figure out if
there's a better option out there.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
But Jonas, what if it is not nine or excuse
me not JJ McCarthy, but nine. Would you feel a
little bit different about if nine was in there playing?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (26:54):
I mean yeah, like that's of course, like do you
want Clark or do you want Superman?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Yeah, I listen, this is.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
This more like doctor Jekyl, mister high.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Do you think people are aware of who nine is?
Do we need JJ McCarthy come and explain it?
Speaker 2 (27:09):
I mean, do we have JJ McCarthy?
Speaker 3 (27:11):
We do?
Speaker 2 (27:11):
We do here?
Speaker 9 (27:12):
Yeah, there's definitely a level of a switch that gets flipped.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
You know.
Speaker 9 (27:19):
For me, it's you know that I call him nine.
Nine comes out and I got to understand, like, okay,
he can't be at his peak performance throughout three and
a half hours, So how do I find little ways,
you know on the sideline, you know, get back to
my breath, get back to my visualization that could kind
of maintain that intense, you know, competitive stamina throughout the
(27:41):
whole game. But yeah, it's just you know, the pure
will determination to get the job done kind of started
to show up this year, and uh it came about
last year during IR you know, just never had a
full season where you know, you want to be out
there so freaking bad but you can. It was just
this built up anger that was kind of to just explode,
and I chose to harness it instead of letting it
(28:04):
go into, you know, a self destructive kind of way,
and it's unique and I kind of love feeding that
wolf because my entire life, you know, at Michigan, it
was a smiley face on my hand and smile and
you have fun, You're gonna play better and all that.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Which is true. But I also think there's.
Speaker 9 (28:20):
A lot of power that comes from, you know, that
built up anger that you can transmute into your performance.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Fief.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Yeah, I'm not sure what's worse. You've got that on
one end of the spectrum with J. J McCarthy, and
then you've got on the other end Sha Door and
whatever the hell he's saying after games after one win
versus a terrible Raiders team.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
So you could take your.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Pick for the uh, the worst thing we've heard all
week by some young quarterbacks in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
But my god, do you.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Think that I've gotten the impression that J because one
of the stories that came out in the off season
when it came to it.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Was gonna give perfect.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
So just so you know our I asked Lorena, I
know every time we bring up Shad Door's day and
just pop on perfect time.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
Every single time. That's how That's how bad.
Speaker 5 (29:10):
All of it is, all of it, every everything that
comes along with all all these young cats. Now we've
got dudes paying their fingernails. We got JJ McCarthy talking
about alter ego that stinks. We got Chador Sanders out
there making everything about the fact that he finally got
a four week's practice. Imagine what he could do if
he gets more. What have you been doing the whole year?
(29:32):
Have you not been practicing the whole year?
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Oh? God?
Speaker 1 (29:36):
One of the things that and tell me if there's
if you guys are buying into this, but one of
the things that was reported and the reason why Minnesota
moved on from Sam Darnold is because and they view
that they have a three year window, that they think
they have a three year window to win a Super Bowl,
all right, So, as Labar pointed out, uh so that
one of those windows just got shut, all right. So
(29:59):
the first year window that's over. We have no idea
what next year is going to look like. And with
JJ McCarthy rolling out nine the alter ego, whatever that
cornball statement was that he just gave you, hear other
comments he's made throughout the course of the year talking
about man, I just feel like we're getting close, you know,
the quark's about to come out of the bottle. Like
(30:20):
I wonder if he also recognizes that this is a
really good roster and he's the one holding them back,
And it feels like he's trying so desperately to be
the guy without realizing, did you just got to go
play well? Like nobody cares about nine, nobody cares about
any of that garbage off the field, Nobody wants to
(30:42):
hear another statement or anything like that. You look at
Justin Jefferson, He's like he's being as patient as possible
but really openly frustrated at the same time. On the sideline,
it just feels like he recognizes that he's the weak
link almost on that roster, and all he's done is
release statements about how close he is and his alter egos.
(31:05):
It just I almost think that he's trying too hard
at this point. And now he's got a concussion and
now he's probably gonna miss more time, but the season
already wasted.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Yeah, I think what's needed to be said about him
in this scenario has been been stated. I don't want
to overstate it. I will say there is enough time
left in the season for him to somewhat alter the
narrative though, you know, instead of it being a joke,
(31:35):
nine could become a thing. If they do turn the corner,
it could become a thing.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
It's going to be December. It's over.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Yeah, I get it. But there's still enough games left
for them to make a season of it and and
have the conversations moving forward as to what what this
all looks like. You know, I I don't know how
that looks.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Do you think do you think that that's gonna happen?
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Uh No, but it's possible. It is possible, though, is
what I will It's just all right likely, highly unlikely,
I would assume, uh but you just never know. I mean,
he could catch fire. A concussion doesn't help that cost
(32:26):
it doesn't, doesn't you know. I don't know, but I
will say there there is enough time to possibly change
what the narrative of of this team and of this
season could possibly be. It is what it is, man.
(32:46):
Sometimes that's a hard, you know, hard situation to be in,
and it is a hard situation for JJ McCarthy because
you do have a talented team and there isn't any
real reason why they shouldn't be having more success than
what they're having. But this is where they find themselves
at and and JJ McCarthy's got to figure out a
way to get nine or JJ whoever the hell it
(33:09):
is that he's going to bring to the table some
better results.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Yeah, Brady, I tell you the story about uh, my
son and Caleb Williams painted nails. I tell you that one,
all right, So we're no story. So he loves Caleb Williams.
He's got a Caleb Williams Jersey and we're watching a
game together and he says, Papa, why is his nails painted?
I was like, I don't know, buddy, just what he does.
(33:35):
And he says I don't like that. I was like,
you know what, me neither, Bud. But it's just what
he does. So it's not really landing well. Uh, the
the Caleb Williams painted nails for everybody either, even though
that they're an an eight win team, so painted nails,
nine shittors watch, none of it's really landing well, you
(33:56):
know with the young audience.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
So well, or would you rather painted nails or Rollie
Show to watch?
Speaker 4 (34:04):
I think we'd all rather role X than patronails? But okay,
it's fairly really so.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
I throw it out there. There are two quarterbacks doing it.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Why can't you do both?
Speaker 1 (34:16):
You know?
Speaker 3 (34:18):
Okay, you could good or you could.
Speaker 1 (34:21):

No one does. Hi, Lo. Let's get right into this, guys.
Cue the music.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
This is music the man.
Speaker 10 (38:12):
You guys were talking about this a little bit earlier.
Jamar Chase addresses his spitting allegations on Instagram.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
Quote to my team.
Speaker 10 (38:24):
Fans, the Bengals organization, the Steelers organization, and the NFL community.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
You guys please know I'm speaking.
Speaker 10 (38:32):
From my heart when I say I take full responsibility
for my actions during last Sunday's game of Pittsburgh. What
I did was wrong. The circumstances don't matter. My passion
for the game is no excuse. There's zero place in
our sport or in our life with that level of disrespect.
I want to personally apologize to everyone within the Pittsburgh
(38:53):
Steelers organization. I let my motions in the moment get
the better of me. I can only hope and trust
you know, none of it represents who I am not
as a competitor, teammate, or a person. He goes on
to apologize to his coach's teammates, everyone else. He says,
it's a tough season, incredibly hard losses, and he's been frustrated. Finally,
(39:15):
he apologizes to his fans, and he's committed to earning
back your respect.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Guys, was this enough? I mean he didn't deny it
at first. Yeah, yeah he did.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
I kind of feel like I was.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Already already to know, Yeah, I'm over it. I could
care less about his apology if he would have stood
on business to begin with, Like, bro, know this, when
you do stuff like that, don't deny it. Because the
camera angles and technology is so advanced. Is so good, bro,
they can see the sweat coming down your face, let
(39:49):
alone coming out of your mouth and going on to
somebody else. Like, if he would have owned it from
the jump and listen, you get an opportunity to repent, Like,
all right, I see the wrong in what I did.
I just felt like the way he kind of addressed
it to begin with, I didn't you know, don't. I
don't know how sincere that that apology is.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
I'd almost have more respect for him if he said, yeah,
I'm not sorry, I did it. It's been a bad season.
I'm frustrated. We can't figure it's going to be the Yeah,
I hate the Steelers. Jalen Ramsey's taking cheap shots all
the time, and if I if I need to get
some retaliation in, I'm going to get it in. I'm sorry,
I'm not I'm not gonna apologize for it. I almost
would have respected that more. That was a little too Ronge.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
I'm going get mad. Yeah you know, Yeah, I'm with you, Jonathah.
Speaker 10 (40:35):
What else you got another news? This could be good news.
Most people say it would be. We're staying with the Bengals.
Joe Burrow is expected to return. Zach Taylor said he
it's looking good for the quarterback. Although jovidh Flacco has
been doing a great job, Joe Burrow is set to
probably start this weekend.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
How do you guys feel? What about Trey Hendrickson.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Trey Hendrickson going to be back at any point or
still dealing with a hip issue.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Bengals are a seven point underdog at Baltimore coming up
on Banksgiving Night.
Speaker 5 (41:06):
So, by the way, Flacco thorn for over two hundred
and seventy yards a game. He's got thirteen touchdowns to
four interceptions on the season. He's played as well as
you could imagine for someone who literally got traded there
during the season. I mean, it's been pretty darn phenomenal.
And how about this taking less sacks, you know, and
(41:27):
then Burrow does when he's in there, so he's played
at a high level. Their offense has not been the issue.
This is a defensive issue for the Bengals this year.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Yeah, not gonna get fixed anytime soon.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
What you got, var I got nothing.
