(00:23):

into that for you here on the show. Pete Prisco's
gonna stop by. He's got thoughts on not only the NFL,
but also college football and the issues going on there.

Yours morning guys. Good morning hoarding guys.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
It was like a costly day for a couple of
teams in the NFL yesterday. That was not great. Patrick Mahomes,
Micah Parsons, Monte Adams at the hamstring.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Go on, geez, Watson, you heard him so yeah, it
was that the body bag Sunday this year Yeah, it
was pretty bad. Man. The body bag Yeah, body bag Sunday. Damn.
A lot of people, uh, their seasons was getting bodied
and so.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
That was like that is the I don't want to
say the word appropriate, but the way this Chief season
is gone, like that's the kind of stuff that happens.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
It feels like like that's that's just awful.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Eleven straight years of going to the playoffs eleven straight years.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
And now they'll miss it.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
And Patrick Mahomes will be coming off of a torn ACL,
which with the timing of all this being in December
next year, yeah, like I don't. I mean, they're taking
their time with the recovery off an ACL. Now it's
very different than what it used to be. I mean
some of those guys they got back within six seven months,
and I think the problem was they saw long term
(03:00):
issues with that. So now they're trying to be more
patient again with them coming back. So this will be
one of the most critical off seasons in Kansaity Chiefs history.
You gotta make a decision on Kelsey. I'm not sure
where he's still at. You've got to find someone who
could come in and start, probably at the beginning of
next year and help lead this team. A lot of
(03:22):
big decisions for this offseason for the Chiefs. I mean
Caps already played for me. Was it taps? Which was
what was the militant Taps? It's already played, already played
for me. Caps is something else, Yeah, Cap cappin is Yeah, Yeah,
that's something else. Yeah, you're right, Yeah, there you go.
(03:43):
You know, Chiefs, ma all I have to say to.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Feel some type of sympathy or have that cute ups
fast feelings towards Patrick thom season ending injury. This injury
extends further than one Patrick Mahomes knee injury. No, it
doesn't stop there. It is actually the end of a dynasty,
(04:11):
the end of a run. Shots out to Kelsey, shots
out to Mahomes, shots out to Coach Reid, shots out
to Spags, shots out to the GM.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Are you saying shots? Shots like? Shots out? Like shots?
Shout out shots? Shots? Shot out?
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Shots is the same thing as shout up shots shout out?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Interesting? Yeah? Interesting? You know it could be cultural.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
I guess, I don't know, just yeah, shot out, Yeah,
really could be.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Maybe black people you shout out too. You know, I've
heard a shout I just shots out, you know, like
you know, it was taps. You know, what do you
do at the end of of you know, the song
play you do a twenty one gun salute.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Don't you shoot it up? Like bang?
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Bang like bang, like hey hey reload bang like you know,
shout shots shots out. Yeah. I also it's over though,
by the way, Yeah, it's over. But the dirt is
on top of that casket. I mean, they haven't really
looked good. I mean, there's been a couple of games.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Where you looked at.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Them this year and said, well, that kind of looked
like the offense or what we've come to expect when
it comes to Kansas City. But it's been a while
since they've looked like the well oiled machine that everybody
was used to. And so I just wonder, you know,
like the Patriots maybe kind of skewed everybody's perspective on
(05:45):
dynasties because the Patriots had two to where they had
that long break in between winning another Super Bowl and
then went on to win you know, the three or
whatever it was.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
And I just wonder if this is more of the
norm that hey.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Listen, you have a great run, but to expect that
this is just going to continue for as to an end.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah, it's just it's.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Not feasible to think that a team can have that
type of sustained success.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
For that amount of time. It just it's not not feasible.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
And for Kansas City to do it so quickly after
the New England Patriots, I mean, the fans got an
opportunity to enjoy success on that level. Kansas City had
the opportunity to expand on the rich history that they
(06:39):
have there with that organization, and it was great for
the NFL, it's great for sport. But they do come
to an end, and I feel like this is it.
Like a lot of people don't feel like it's the end.
They a lot of people feel like they can bounce
back and they can find success again.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
I mean, I've heard a lot of people in I
was gonna ask you, why are you so like in
Bolden to want to just.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Well, because I just think when it's done, it's done.
Like when it's done, it's done. And listen, I know
Tom Brady had like a really really long break in
between like one of the two Super Bowls that you know,
from one appearance to another, what was it like ten years?
I believe it was like I get that. Yeah, I
met one.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
He had been in I think what three in between there. Yeah,
they'd made deep runs too. Okay.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I mean I'll say this, if they were to be
competitive again, I wouldn't be surprised if they were competitive.
I just don't think that they'll ever be dominant again.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Also, the Patriots during that time were in a division
that was awful, and so their path there and you
had two bye weeks in the postseason, or there were
two teams that got to buy in the postseasons they
really had. It was about them winning two games and
then getting to a Super Bowl to where Kansas City.
(08:03):
If you look at what Denver was doing yesterday, like
Denver's defense, the way bo Nicks played, I.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Mean it's a it's a well built Sean Payton team. Yeah,
like the Chargers, he's found what he wanted. Like, their
their path unless you schedule the Raiders nine times a year,
their path in that division is way more difficult than
what the Patriots had to go. I mean there is
always the Raiders, though they don't have to worry about
being last.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, ever, damn.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
The dudes is that's like SHOT's fired that's like playing
against the corpse.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Come on, Snax Crosby. They're holding Max Crosby every day playing.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
They stink by the way I saw yesterday than I
feel like I've ever seen. I don't know, and I
hope the people on social media keep putting the clips
out there because it's ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
I mean, it's something really really sad. I've watched it.
It's I'm tired to talking about I'm tired of asking
about it, like what is a hold anymore? Because dudes
be getting arm hooked, like like hugged, like beer hugged.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
He's only Here's the only thing I'd say, and I'll
keep saying this because it's doesn't make any sense to
me if you've only got one guy responsible for that
area of the field.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
The hard part about I think how.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
The pass rush has evolved is guys are getting on
different levels to the point I'm not trying to make
an excuse for officials, but Russia are getting.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
So wide guys, I mean, everything's kind of spread out.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Guys are getting on different levels to where I think
it's hard to be able to see all of it.
And the NFL has one less official than college. Why
not put in an extra set of eyes in there,
Like what's wrong with that?
Speaker 1 (09:53):
I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
So it doesn't make any sense to me why they
have one less official than college football.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Some of these pass interference calls was kind of questionable too,
Like if you're gonna let them touch one another, let
them touch. If they're gonna, you know, if they're gonna
nd wrestle and like be in close quarters with one another,
let them do it. Like you can't decide when you're
gonna call a touch foul like that. Like there were
a few the one in the New England game, the
(10:22):
Bills game.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
I'm sitting there watching it right now.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
There was a couple other times where I saw there
were touch touch calls in the secondary, and that one
was at a critical point in time of the game.
I just, I mean, listen, I know referees are gonna
be referee, so I don't even I don't get into
complaining about calls and saying if it was a missed call.
(10:45):
You know, I really don't like you see guys overcoming
the odds from being held or whatever the situation may be.
Like it's funny if you were to look at how
these plays actually unfold.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
I've said it a hundred times.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
You could call a foul every single play, and on.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Both sides of the ball. Yeah, I say probably on
defense more, but yeah, yeah, well I don't know about
it on more. I'm just saying. I'm just saying, O
Lineman or.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
I love trying to see are the worst offenders, period.
They're the worst. Now where you want to go from there,
I don't know. I think chip blocking sucks. I think
the fact that a ball carrier can one get away
with putting their head now to stiff arming. If you're
(11:37):
not going to allow a defender to put his hand
on the ball carrier's face mask any way, shape, form,
or fashion, then the same courtesy should be extended to
a defender. I've seen dudes get wiped out standing like
trying to help stop the ball carrier from, by the way,
getting more forward progress, which they will get if they
(11:58):
go forward, but if they go backwards, you don't. You
don't mark the ball where they go backwards, you market
where therefore were progress.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Stop.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
I've seen guys getting licked like I saw one dude
just get blown away. Nobody says anything. Commentators don't say anything.
They're too busy gushing over how strong the leg drive
was or whatever it was for the guy to get
to where he was. The athleticism. I heard them sit
there and say how athletic Jordan Love looked when he
(12:28):
scrambled and ran for the yardage that he got in
the game, Like, what the hell are people watching when
they're watching these that's not athleticism.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
You don't think he's athletic. That did not look athletic.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
It looked like a quarterback that was running.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Let me give you an example of what didn't look athletic.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
That was shwop River's dropping back oh the ground, getting
back up. That was below back up to you. Which
do you know how many people took his over? I
think it was half a yard was over and rushing
yards as soon as he got back up, and there
was a bit of a seam and some daylight and
you're thinking, oh, this is it.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I'm gonna cash in.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
I mean, I think it was over half a yard
for like plus was it plus two thousand?
Speaker 1 (13:16):
I had a friend send it to me and I
was like, all right, good luck with that.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
And I guarantee you they were holding on to every
every ounce of hope he could just stumble forward for a.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Yard, just a QB sneak something and then then reality
set in. Then five years out of the league set in,
and he just hit into the ground. For two rumbles
into the ground.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
The the other one was the the Micah Parsons injury.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Like that just you could see it was the outside.
And why is Jerry Jones out there texting and tweeting
out karma?
Speaker 3 (13:50):
I mean, unbelievable, all right. I looked for it. I
looked for it, and I would have I would have
popped off.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
And just just so people know, Jerry Jones got text this,
but we're in our group text and I said to LeVar,
it's awful what what.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Jerry Jones is saying. And of course I knew it
would take him. I'm sitting there like I got my
family around me. I was like, Karma, that's something I noticed.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Mother lover didn't sit like I know, he didn't type
nos like that, how could you?
Speaker 1 (14:23):
But he might have been being like, you know, like
you know, sneaky.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
About it, like secretive about it, like karma about something else,
like he had deniability and that just said karma, you know,
which is interesting, which I don't I couldn't even find
if he had a real account on X. By the way,
I don't know that he has an account on X,
but I looked for it. I was typing in his name.
(14:49):
I typed in Karma Jerry Jones. I'm like, do not
let me.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
I was like, man, Q's full of ass. Yeah, that's
what I needed to tell. We needed to tell Q. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
But I was relaxed. I was relaxed on my couch.
I was watching the four game splits.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
You know.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
I was going in between the other games, two two
to three games on the other on the other screen,
so I was back and forth. I've really settled into
watching multiple multiple games.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
It used to be just like one game switch.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Well, I switched back and forth between the two games
that were playing in you know the area that I'm in. Now,
do you do red Zone in three games or do
you do four individual games? I do four individual game.
I actually do more than that because I go from
from one four game you know, set up, to the
other games that are going on as well, so I
(15:40):
actually have all of them going. I just got to
switch from multiple views. It's like the first time I've
ever done this. It's the first time I've taken this
active of an interest to even try to watch it
so that I can like respond correctly to y'all because
Q love sitting.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
There saying you didn't even watch, did you?
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Like? He's the box reason, which I don't have no
problem sitting there. I'm not a box score. I look
at the box score, but I mean I watched. I
watched the recaps. You know, I'm a recap guy. I've
never tried to Yeah, I've never really tried to watch
(16:17):
every single game. I'm not not like I don't And
and this was the first time that I've actually really
challenged myself to do and you can.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Actually do pretty good with it.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I got to keep more notes, like I like, I
make mental notes before, but now you like, just like if.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
You had a Google doc you can just put the
notes there.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Yeah, I don't use Google Docu. I know what was
our scores?
Speaker 1 (16:43):
By the way? Anyway, well we ended up who cares
it does stink? Detroit boned me, by the way.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
They boned me. Detroit boned me, and who else booned me?
Somebody else? Out of us, none of us had a
good day. Jonas was the closest to five hundred. He
was three four, which is odd. You know so many
you know points in this one. I guess John's just
keeps goal with the money lines.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
I mean, you guys have skewed me. I had on
two money lines.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Yeah, you were four and six, you still lost three
hit on two, lost three.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
I was two and four.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Who was the other one that that? That Buffalo and
New England? Because I money lined New England?
Speaker 1 (17:21):
You lined every single pick?
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Yeah, no doubt. I was close. Yeah, I was close
on everye What were the two? I lost the Rams
and you lost three?
Speaker 4 (17:29):
So you lost the Ravens Bengals yep, yep uh, you
lost the Chiefs excuse me, Patriots Bills yep.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
I knew that one, and then you lost the Lions Rams.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Yeah, there's no way I should have came out on
the wrong side of those bets.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Which brings our annual totals to Jonah's two games blow
fivety three.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
I'll get there.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
LeVar is a little further back, forty nine and fifty six,
so seven games behind, and then I'm at fifty five
and thirty seven. Not a good week, creeping clothes sort
of five.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Hundred, so it's tightened up tighten it up. I could
catch up, of course you can.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
I mean, if if I hadn't got boned the way
that I did this weekend, I had the great This
was a great setup for a money line weekend.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
I felt so good about it.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
I had my chest out in the in the Patriots
got him like yeah, Patriots, Yeah, Patriots.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
And then Cook did what he did at the end.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
I was like, no, Patriots, No, no, Patriots.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
I mean, here's the toughest thing is, you've had only
one winning week in the last six. Meanwhile, you were
eight no at the beginning, right, Yeah, you were doing great.
That's what I'm saying is you've really dropped off like
you were. You had a bunch of winning weeks. So
it's not me that's dropped off. My picks are are
the right picks. It's their fault. Okay, yeah, it's their fault.
It's on them. Turned into Pete Priscy.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
I mean, I'm just saying it's not me. Just like Pete.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Priscal if you're on the right side of it, I
was on the right side of They chose, they chose
to be those types of teams, not me.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
You know, what are you doing? What are you doing.
I can't believe they had all those injuries yesterday though,
Like bad ones man sitting there looking at the Michael
right now, bad homs. Then Micah and then Devon said,
it's like you kept watching.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
The damn Green Bay got riddled because Watson went down
with an injury, Like there was there's there's not a
great game for the Packers yesterday in Denver.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
I mean, just a whole lot of loss, just lost
all the way across the board, Like that totally impacts
their them Losing Michael Parsons totally impacts them for the
rest of the run. And then if Watson is is
like significantly injured, that's a that's a tremendous loss and
(19:46):
a hurt piece for that offense as well. Like it's
just not the same team without pieces like that being
a part of their team. Like it's I feel like
it's a rap on their season. And I thought going
into that game like this is a I felt like
they were probably the team to look for to possibly
(20:07):
win it all. I wouldn't say that as like an overstatement,
either overstated and in the sense that I felt like,
you know, Jordan Love has gotten great, you know great
experience from from last year to this year like that
carry over and they came up short, but it just
seems like they're a better team. And and now with
(20:28):
everything that's that's taking place injury wise, you know, you
got to look at the NFC and think that, you know,
the NFC is wide open for for the taking.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
And and it.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Could be the Chicago Bears, which is crazy. It could
be the Bears that emerge as maybe.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
A possible It's a funny thing you said. That is wild.
Jonas is so slap happy. He doesn't mean what to
admit it.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
That's so wid Like what are we talking about?
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Yeah, but it's it's that's they did.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
But it's overall the way the Bears are playing right now,
like they've found balance. You know, Caleb has has found
balance and he's improving. Still some more improving he can,
you know, obviously have there's probably a lot more. But
it's a good looking team.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Man.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
They've whatever Ben Johnson has done, whatever that coaching staff
has done. The formula is the formula, I would assume.
I don't know it's not working for Aaron Glenn in
New York, but it's certainly whatever that formula is they
figured out in Detroit, it's working for the Bears.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
About Ben Johnson, I think he's everyone assumed that when
he comes in it's gadget plays and all the like
the goofy stuff he did with the Lions, and instead
he's just like, no, we're just gonna run the ball.
We're going to run the ball, and we're just gonna
pound it down your throat and we're just gonna hope
that Caleb Williams doesn't turn the ball over and makes
enough throws to keep us in games, which is the
(21:57):
only reason I look at it. You're not afraid to
throw that ball, bro Well, that throw, I mean, back
across the field was so reckless.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
He's not afraid. He is not afraid to throw the ball.
What a bad decision, but he got it.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
He's so accurate, Like he's he's just a fearless like
he's a fearless competitor. I mean, and listen, I think
he tries to throw people off with the fingernail polish,
but I mean, make no mistake about it, I had
nothing to do with how fierce a competitor he is.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
You know, Yeah, there's a lot to that.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
I feel like you just had to throw in the
fingernail polished and ship I mean, I mean yeah, he
had to get it in there.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
I mean, yeah, yeah, I'll throw it in there.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
Yeah, Jonas, Is that why you're hesitant to just say,
hey man, he's our quarterback?
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Hey man, I don't I don't hear any because of
the fingernail polish. Yeah, yeah, probably a little bit of that.
There's uh yeah, I'd like to uh maybe not see that,
but look to each their own. And who knows, I mean,
fingernail polish or not. He was It always looks good
with some Akita tools.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
I know this coop in this morning? Was he was
he with? Just did he go? Yeah? Did he go
to the game yesterday? I thought he was supposed to go.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
I don't know what happened, but it's gonna have h
It's gonna have Mark in the building here.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
It was up.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Wait, Mark is on the board today. Mark. You had
to get up this morning?
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Work.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
How you feeling Mark? How you feeling you tired? You good?
How you feeling doing? All right? All right, there we go.
What do you get at he? I wasn't getting at anything. Hey,
you brought up Mark. I just want to give us
brought up.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Yeah, I didn't see coop. All right, Okay, all right?
And I wonder if everybody could do the math on
that one. Are people mathing out there that it's three
twenty four out here, and maybe they're not mathing.
Speaker 1 (23:53):

In case you missed it, that'll be yours right here
on FSR. But right now, and by the way, this
is a rude song to play, considering the segment we're
getting into.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
But right now, it is time for the tire Rack
Play of the Day.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
Third tail at any three at the seven yard line,
Rivers backs into the shotgun, looking over that defense full
on the play clock, takes a step three step drop,
looking rolls.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Inside the five. Touchdown for the Pults, and it's.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
Todowns across the goal line touchdown.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Why Colt Radio Network on the call.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yeah, I gotta ask Patty brou just seeing the way
you was popping off on the whole Christmas soul.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
Huh when you were growing up? Brouh? Yeah? Were you
a Spaghettio's dude?
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Actually as a viol Ravioli Either way, however you look
at it, you clearly had. He had the big ass
orange stain around his mouth. One hundred percent. You are
a ral You are a sauce around the face.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
He is really good man. What do you guarantee you
have a show? Hey, let me ask you something.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Do you have pictures of the l the Ravioli beard,
like the Ravioli bring around your mouth?
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Sure?
Speaker 7 (28:09):
I'm sure I could go ask my mom like for
all pictures. She will gladly give them to you guys.
Just to be sure here, bro, you.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
Probably have it at every level, at toddler level, at
you know about last lord, like there you go that
there you go, like if you eat chicken farm, you
have the like you get the orange ring around your
face one hundred percent your orange ring face, dude, orange
(28:39):
ring face, dude. Yes, when you did, when you were
singing the song and you was rocking back and forth,
I saw it so clearly.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
It was so good. It was funny, like get him
with a bag of cheetos is a problem. It's a problem.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
You let it hit your face, don't you hit your
face back? Sometimes it happens. Man, there you go, I'm
only human. It HiT's my face too. But you know,
like like you said when he was jumping in there
and said, doesn't show on your face, like it doesn't
show on my face. But nonetheless it has gotten there.
You know, the ring was probably there, just an invisible form,
(29:19):
you know, do cheftboard he hits. Man, it's still good.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Chef boyard thinking though, like we lived in an era
where like I would get off the bus, go home
from school, make myself that like in gosh, I'd have
been an elementary school, like like where my parents were
come home from work and everyone's working.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Yeah, and it was just like that's what you did.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
Nowadays until the kids are old enough, like much older
than that. I don't know that i'd feel comfortable to
him coming home and like opening a can, pouring it
into a.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Bowl, microwave and doing it without creating an absolute mess? True?
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Is that more of a byproduct of like what we
are today's parents?
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Everything successible on the phone?
Speaker 3 (30:00):
My ten year old is pretty pretty, she's pretty self reliant.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Have an elementary school kid door dashing? Well, yeah, I'm not. Yeah,
they're having a cell phone in third grade.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
I don't know in ann Arbor. Apparently that's the thing.
I don't know what that means. Door dash, What does
that have to do with it?
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Oh? You know, seems to be used a little bit
out there.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
Well, you're using it to not have anyone ordering from
door dash.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
So now on the subject of spaghettios, Yes, so what
Philip Rivers looked a little bigger than he did when
he last played me.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
I don't Hey, hey, they was in the game. Were
they almost want to get some?
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Really?
Speaker 3 (30:43):
You know, I feel like this is a good team
in Seattle with a good defense. So your first came
out after five years and you look like that, you
come up a little short eyed. I can't say that
you know, I came away feeling like I could clown he.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
How sore is he gonna be?
Speaker 3 (31:01):
He's probably bro They probably put his whole body on
ice last night.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
I want to just make sure I'm very clear when
I say this, because this was not coming from me,
But I had a group text going on and I
made the same comment and you just said about him
being sore the next day and someone was like, you know,
fat doesn't. It's not as sore, asn't bruised like muscle does.
Like muscle gets sore fat, And I was like, damn,
(31:29):
all right, I was.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
But the more I thought about that, the bore, I
was like, he's not wrong, Like he's gonna be sore,
but he's he put on some patting, you know, he's able.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
To absorb some of that, right, Yeah, but that's from
like maybe getting hit, like the movements, the drop backs,
the throws, the even just getting through warm ups.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
I'm sure for him he was probably he was probably
So we're working on the back of his shoulder on
the sideline.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
At one point, probably finished warm ups and was like, okay, hey,
well you mean we got four quarters to go. Huh,
Let's see what we can do.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Here was Philip Rivers, forty four years old, making his
first start in five years, throwing a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Talking afterwards, I.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Think maybe, uh you know, maybe maybe it will I
don't know, inspire or teach to you know that to
you not to run or be scared of what may
or may not happen, you know, hopefully, you know. Certainly
I'm thinking of my sons and those ball players you
know that I'm in charge of at the school.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Uh, that they'll.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
Say, crap, coach one's scared, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
It's like shooting sometimes.
Speaker 5 (32:40):
You uh, there is doubt and it's real and you uh.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Again you can, you can.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
The guaranteed safe bet is to is to go home
or to not go for it, and the other one
is shoot, let's see what happens, uh you know.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
And so uh yeah, I hope that in that.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
Sense that it can it can be a positive to
some young boys, you know, or young.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
People not as we boys. But but again that's not
the motivation. Yeah, I'm happy with he's out of president.
His interview. Yeah, how much how much as man.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
Hey, he extended that insurance too for like five years.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Which a lot of people. How about that have ten
kids or something.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Maybe that was the motivation serious win, extend that insurance, baby,
go back to getting that line of duty.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
I'll throw this out there.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
Watching the beginning of that game, I kept thinking to myself,
Riley Leonard must have done something or not shown something to.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Have put the team in.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
The position where they felt like they needed to do this,
because there was nothing that Philip did that I thought
Roley Leonard couldn't do. And quite frankly, Roley Leonard can
move a lot better. So it adds another element to,
you know, the rushing attack. It's not just Jonathan Taylor
have to worry about. It's Leonard taken off too, even
(34:16):
on pass plays. You know, he had a rushing touchdown
two weeks ago. So Philip Rivers still obviously had the
command of the operation. Get him in the right play.
You know, at times when he's throwing the football there's
just there's no zip on the ball, but.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
It was in the right spot. I mean, early on,
a couple of those throws of Tyler Warren, like Taler
Warren could.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
Have made those catches. I mean, he's made them before,
so I don't know. I mean again, at the end
of the day. Their defense kept them in that game,
and they scored enough to make it close. But I
just I don't know what happened where you didn't feel
like comfortable or confident enough as a coach putting in
(34:57):
a game plan that Riley Leonard could execute. Who at
this moment like has a better arm, is a better athlete,
And you know you're out there, you know you taking
some of the decision making maybe off his plate, But
I don't know, man, that's it was as awesome as
it was to see him out there five years after
the fact, there was an element of reality where you're like, man,
(35:20):
how's this gonna go?
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Moving forward?
Speaker 2 (35:22):
The last drive, he rolled to his right to make
a throw and he looked like a mummy. He couldn't
he couldn't move, And I'm like, oh no, man.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Like he couldn't move.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
She going no, no, And I wanted him to win
so man, so bad.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
When when when Blake Group hit hit the field goal,
I was like, oh, okay, this this could happen. This
legitimately happened, and fifty second, forty seconds Laters came right
back down.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
But he, by the way, Sam Darnold doesn't uh kind
of looks a little bit like last year oteling.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
He ain't got that stamina, big game. Let him do
a win man.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
He needs some hot sauce is what he needs, and
so does Sodas. Philip rivers. They Philip, you want to
get that ham stringing together and and and penetrate that
fat that that he was talking about on his uh
his group text. Throw some original Louisiana Hot sauce on
that thing. It's just three simple ingredients. Put it on
your plate. If you're not putting it on your uh,
(36:35):
your your your wounded or sore body parts, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Uh, it can make every day until a tailgate day.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
So make sure you check out the original Louisiana Hot
Sauce and add a little bit of game day to
every day by using that Louisiana hot Buy you some.
Speaker 2 (36:53):

After that, we turn it over to our executive producer,
the one and only Patrick sweeka putty sprek.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
Hey, what of those?
Speaker 5 (38:11):
What up?
Speaker 1 (38:17):
All right?
Speaker 7 (38:22):
All right, well it's stop foring casey misstic guys, and
I very much miss this. So with that said, we're
gonna go with the NFL here, So the Steelers have
a decades long run, historic run here, it's actually nearing
NFL history. They are only two wins away, by the
way of doing this, breaking a record that they currently
share with the Cowboys twenty one seasons of winning, not
(38:46):
making playoffs per se, but having a winning record. They're
two wins away from breaking a tying record with the
Cowboys to get into twenty two seasons or twenty two
winning seasons consist consecutive here, So take that with you.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
One two thousand three they were six and ten and
after that never had a losing season. That's kind of wild, man,
That's that's awesome. That's uh, it's a bottle of success.
I know it's come with what two super Bowls since then?
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Uh yeah, I mean I.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
Think every single franchise would pay to have that. I
guess the question becomes, has the fan base become so
numb to the consistency of winning that they kind of
forget what the losing seasons feel like? There's almost an
element of they feel like they should have win more
super Bowls, Like the winning's not enough at least.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
In the regular season. Is that a fair way to
put it in.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
I know that's how it is for college fan bases
and just being one connected to a slip in a
collapse this season, Hell yeah, you get used.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
To goes frasier.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
I mean, you don't like it's like, oh, we lost
the big game. We're losing the big game. We lost
two games. We lost two games, and then you hit
a real losing streak, like a real losing season.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
It's like, oh, this feels way worse. What are you
talking about? I said, I said, said Penn State. He said,
you're not listening. You ain't got your headphone. Hey, brou bad.
It feels way worse.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
So now when we pop back, you know, I expect
us to pop back. If we get a two lost season,
I bet you y'all going some some smileless, you know,
some some skims and grinds.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
At that point, maybe it is good to just be
in position to.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
Try to win against Michigan and Ohio State. You know,
maybe what's so bad? Yeah there you go. Who wants
the pinstripe bull anyways? Yeah, jeezus, not a lot of
the guys. They opting out like crazy. I will be
preparing myself for the NFL dre after in the NFL
(41:01):
calm by thank you, good luck man.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
I'm gonna get some burn time of the I don't know.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
I would love to see it, but it doesn't count
against his eligibility either.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Right, Well, he burnt his red shirt, so it's a
we're not yet. We weren't going rid shirt. Not you, No,
we're going to play.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
Just go ahead and play, son, learn and play man
doing that sitting and waiting learning play.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
What do you think about Campbell? I like him. I
like him.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
I think he's a solid dude man. So bring a
lot of energy out here. There's a lot of energy
in the building, a lot of excitement and happiness.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
So we'll see. He's a good dude man. You guys
got a really really good coach.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
Yeah, he seems like a real humble dude man, but
tough so and he's you know, he made a West guy,
so it'll be good.
