So we add what would be perceived as a significant
development in the National Football League over the weekend. Now

(01:39):
you're probably asking yourself what could have possibly happened in
the NFL over the weekend, And we're talking decades of
history that may be altered because of something that went
down in the over the weekend in the NFL. So,
Jordan Love is now taking over as the starting quarterback

(02:01):
for the Green Bay Packers. I don't know if you
had heard, but Aaron Rodgers is now a New York Jet.
I don't know if anybody has made you aware of that,
but Jordan Love is now the starting quarterback there in
Green Bay.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
And there's a lot of optimism.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Everything you hear coming out of Green Bay is that
Jordan Love has all the goods, all the makings to
step in for Aaron Rodgers and to developed into a quality, starting,
potentially Pro Bowl caliber quarterback in the NFL for Green
Bay and for the Packers. And so Jordan Love decided,

(02:33):
you know, why don't I go ahead and bust some
balls and have a little fun at the expense of
my arch rival, the Chicago Bears. And he decided to
have a little bit of a tribute to the Chicago
Bears and their fan base. Let's take a listen to
the brand new quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. Happy
Father's Day to auto Bears fans out there, go back.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Go yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Now, if you're a little confused, like I am, I'm
trying to figure out what exactly that means, because I
don't know if he was. Look it could be as
simple as he was trying to be a nice guy.
You know, he was genuinely wishing Bear fans a happy
Father's Day, or he was trying to be a wise
ass and try and interpret that he was their dad.

(03:17):
And it was kind of a slight at the Bears.
Either way, it backfired. I'm gonna go with option two.
Considering that the tweet got deleted, I'm gonna go with
that one. So if you're keeping score, I don't know
if you would count this as an OH one start
to the season for the Green Bay Packers and for
Jordan Love, but nonetheless not an ideal beginning to the
NFL offseason with training camp coming up around the corner

(03:39):
for the Green Bay Packers. But here's the part of
this that a lot of people are missing out on.
All right, because Jordan Love making this comment. Whatever people
say stupid stuff on Twitter all the time, Who cares.
Here's the part of this that people are kind of
leaving out of the conversation when it comes to the
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bear fan base in

(04:00):
what's going to be an exciting season for all involved,
you would hope the fact that we've got decades of
history on the line. There are decades of history on
the line based on what's going to happen with Jordan
Love and the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers.

(04:22):
Because sometimes when you're deprived of something for years and
years and years and you finally get your hands on it,
you want more of it. Like, for example, if say,
your parents weren't that crazy about Christmas growing up, but
you always loved it. By the time you get your

(04:43):
own home and you can decorate a little bit, you
go way over the top because you're deprived of that.
You want to present it as everything that you didn't
get when you were younger. And so when we get
deprived of things when we're younger, when we get older,
we want more of it. We want to take advantage. Yeah,
but I always asked my mom. I was like, they,
why does dad always have a sweet tooth? And it's

(05:04):
not even like the good candy. It was like the
two for three dollars pack that he would get at
save on drugs. It would be like the circus peanuts,
you know, like those I didn't even know what those
are made up, but they're awful, Or like the gum
drops but he'd get like the orange sliced gum drops
and they'd be two for three bucks. And I'd be like,
what's his thing? Why is he always eating sweets? I

(05:25):
don't get it. And her story to me was, growing
up as a kid, they didn't have the ability to
have candy because he had like twelve or thirteen brothers,
our brothers and sisters. I don't know the exact number.
I kept getting a different story every time, and once
you get past ten, you just go with ish, right,
there's a big difference between you and his nine brothers
and sisters and at tennish eleven, ish twelve something like that,

(05:48):
So we round double call thirteen. But they had a
big family. They couldn't enjoy little perks like that. There
was no candy to be had, There was nothing like that.
So when he got older, one of the worst sweet
tooths I've ever seen my life. He had to have
it because he didn't have it as a kid. The
Chicago Bears and their fan base have not had an

(06:10):
advantage at quarterback over the Green Bay Packers in at
least thirty years. Okay, just think about that. This may
be the first season where the Bears are going into
a season feeling like they have an advantage at quarterback
over the Green Bay Packers since what the late eighties,
and that's a maybe the mid eighties, early nineties. This

(06:37):
has been going on a long ass time in Chicago
and in Green Bay. And so if you're wondering why
Bear fans are making a big production over Jordan Love
making an ass of himself on Father's Day, trying to
clown them and then deleting the video afterwards. It's because
they've been deprived of any advantage at quarterback over the
Green Bay Packers for decades now. Organization has run rough

(07:01):
shot in that division for the most part because of
that alone. And we've said it on the show before,
how often do you go from Hall of Fame quarterback
into Hall of Fame quarterback for a thirty year run,
And that's exactly what they did. Now, if it turns
out that Jordan Love ends up being another Hall of

(07:22):
Fame quarterback and now we're looking at forty two, forty
five years worth of Hall of Fame quarterback play, then
if you're the Bears, like hit up the rock and
see if you get just go go join the XFL,
Go join the USFL. Antonio Brown's cryot feat Chamber team
in Albany or Albany, whatever you want to call it.
They're apparently out of the league. Maybe hit them up,

(07:44):
maybe you'd have some better success there. But if the
Packers pull this off again at quarterback and they land
a nether Hall of Fame type quarterback. Well, you're still
trying to figure this whole thing out. Then you need
to make some calls and you need to jump off
the bandwagon all together. But nonetheless, as it stands right now,
this is the most significant advantage and potential win at
quarterback the Bears have had over the Green Bay Packers,

(08:06):
which is why there's excitement based on the foolish tactics
of Jordan Love not really thinking through his joke before
he went on Twitter with it, and then Evan delete
it afterwards. This is the most significant development for the
Bears at quarterback in about thirty years. So just let
them enjoy it. And for those of you wondering whether
or not this had anything to do with the gambling

(08:27):
line for the Bears and the Packers coming up Week one,
it absolutely did not. The Bears are still two and
a half point favorites courtesy of our friends on DraftKings.
But it is going to be fun Week one Packers
at Bears. We get this whole thing started, so a
little bit of spice mixed into that matchup as we
get ready for the season. Jonas Knox here, two pros
and a cup of Joe on Fox Sports Radio and
again you can.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
So I want to go ahead and give credit to
everybody involved at the US Open. Just really really impressive
from everybody involved. And I'm talking about the broadcasters, I'm
talking to everybody around the course, everybody who was able
to accomplish something that I don't think a lot of
people would have been able to accomplish, especially the people

(09:12):
I hang out with. The fact that you were able
to pull off a pretty exciting tournament without anybody stepping
in it, on the fact that the fourteenth hole was
right next to the Playboy Mansion, and the referencing to
peacock sound effects and holes, and the course being too easy.

(09:34):
I just want to go ahead and congratulate everybody involved
for being a professional and getting through that broadcast without
really making a fool of yourself. Congratulations, you deserve it.
It was a fun tournament. Wyndham Clark gets the win.
A lot of people complaining and bitching because the scores
were too low, because everybody wants everybody else to suck
at golf like they do too. Apparently misery loves company

(09:54):
that much. That was my favorite part. After one round
you had people complaining because Ricky was too good? What
do you want him to do? Shoot ninety five over
like you? Just so it can be relatable, like what
do you want him to do now? I wanted to
play like me? Okay, well he's not because he's actually
good at his job. I don't know what to tell you.

(10:15):
But nonetheless, congratulations, fun tournament, they get it done. Wyndham
Clark's You're champion. Ricky Fowler falls apart in the final round.
That was a little bit surprising based on the way
that he played. And so we have ourselves a first
time major champion in Wyndham Clark there right on the
heels of the Playboy Mansion, which apparently is being redone

(10:37):
and refurbished if you believe any of the reports that
are out there. Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio, Two Pros
and a Cup of Joe here on FSR, and you
can listen to this show again as always on the
iHeartRadio app and on hundreds of affiliates all across the country.
We're gonna have the usuals coming up later on. We're
gonna have another edition up in case you missed it.
We got the FSRIR we're also gonna have you in
or you out. It's all yours here on Fox Sports Radio.

(11:01):
But coming up next, there was a deal that was
done in the world of sports over the weekend that
could be bad news for a lot of people out
there that have had it out. For one player in
the world of sports, we'll tell you who that is
that's coming up next.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up in we'll call
it a little over ten minutes from now from the
tire rack dot Com studios, we are going to talk
about somebody who, no matter what happens, no matter what happens,
still still.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Gets another gift.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's amazing somebody in the world of sports continues to
get yet another gift. And we'll get into that for
you again over ten minutes from now here on FSR. So,
there was a deal done in the world of sports
over the weekend and This is gonna be phenomenal, absolutely
phenomenal for somebody who, in my mind, is one of

(12:14):
the great villains in the world of sports over the
past several years. So the NBA pulled off a trade.
And by the NBA, I mean the Washington Wizards, who decided,
you know what, we're gonna go ahead and get rid
of Bradley Beal. I mean, we just gave him like
a five year, two hundred and fifty million dollar contract.
He played one year of it, but it's time. We're

(12:35):
gonna go ahead and get rid of Bradley Beal. So
the Washington Wizards trade Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns.
Now part of the deal in return is Chris Paul
and you know Landry Sham Like, oh, there's a bunch
of second rounders. The main name in the deal is
Bradley Beal. And so Bradley Beal now becomes a Phoenix
Sun and they form this new Big three. Now, whether

(12:58):
or not Big three is actually working anymore, it seems
like it's gotta past its time. But you're gonna get
Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant and Devin Booker and with
the salary cap structure and the CBA and all that stuff.
You're probably gonna have to find some people to play
for lower minimum deals, and their benches could be an issue,

(13:18):
and they could be a little bit thin when it
comes to that. But point is, Bradley Beal's now Phoenix Sun.
And this is great for Bradley Beal. It's great gets
out of Washington, goes to Phoenix. He's gonna be on
a playoff team. He's gonna be on a team that's
going to contend. He's gonna be on the team that's
gonna be one of the favorites to win it all
next year. Good for Bradley Beal, gets out of the

(13:41):
mess that was Washington, had been there quite some time.
Finally gets to go and play for a legitimate winner
in the NBA. But it's great for Kevin Durant as
well too. Oh, this is great for Kevin Durant. And
I hope it works out phenomenally for Kevin Durant. And
here's why. The amount of heat that Kevin Durant has

(14:05):
gotten at every turn in his career doing things that
every one of you would do, or just having bad luck.
Like the amount of heat that he's gotten for all
of that is something to behold. And nobody really takes
a step back and looks at what they're saying when

(14:26):
they're critical of Kevin Durant, Like nobody really just takes
a step back and goes, you know, if I was
in his shoes, I get it. So he leaves Oklahoma City, right,
people could? I mean people were furious. How could you
do that? How could you leave Oklahoma City? How could
you leave them to go play for the Golden State Warriors?
How dare you? First of all, it ain't like he

(14:49):
really forced his way out. He had an opportunity. Golden
State called him up, said hey, would you like to
play for us? He wanted to go try and win
a championship. So he went and played for Golden State. Yeah,
but you can't do that. That's a team that eliminated them,
So what who cares? That's like saying you're never gonna

(15:10):
buy a Toyota because the last one you saw cut
you off in traffic.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Who cares? What do you care?

Speaker 2 (15:17):
He had an opportunity, he wanted to go play for
Golden State and win an NBA championship, and he did it.
And by the way, when he does go win a
couple of championships, everybody discredited it.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
So let me get this straight.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
He's not a complete player and he's not as good
as other players because he doesn't have a championship ring.
So then he goes and gets championship rings and it's
still not good enough. Okay, I'm just keeping scoring here.
I just want to know what we're looking at. Just
trying to keep score on all this. So then he
leaves Golden State. Oh well he's just hopping around. Oh

(15:55):
he's just going from team to team.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Well, the place that he was kind of didn't want
him anymore. Draymond Green. You know, if you believe some
of the reports out there called him a bitch on
the sidelines, you know, maybe that was fighting words for
Kevin Durant. Maybe he didn't want to be there anymore. Now,
it could be worse than that. They had a little
bit of an outburst and altercation, all that stuff. He

(16:21):
decided he wanted to go elsewhere. Okay, So he wanted
to go elsewhere. The place may or may not have
wanted him anymore. He didn't feel welcomed there. I don't
know about you, but if I go someplace I don't
feel welcomed or I'm not wanted.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
I'm leaving like I didn't say what what's supposed to do?

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Like lay around in crap and then spray cologne on afterwards. No,
you get the hell out of there. I don't want
to roll around in this. So he didn't want to
be there anymore, so he left. So he leaves Golden State.
He gets to Brooklyn and everything's a disaster. He was
injured when he got there. You know, the I don't.

(17:00):
I don't know if anybody remembers COVID that kind of shut
everything down and changed plans for a lot of people.
I mean, I know a lot of people that are
planning on vacations. I happen to know some people this
guy right here pointing at myself, who are trying to
plan for a wedding and also plan for a honeymoon.
Next thing you know, I'm standing in line with a

(17:20):
mask on trying to buy a one play toilet paper
and frozen pizzas. It got the best of us. Okay,
weird time. So he goes through all that, he transitions.
Oh and then he's got Kyrie Irving and Kyrie Irvings's
usual pain in the ass. He's got his COVID beliefs.
There's all that stuff, you know, And then there's Kevin
Durant's health. You know, James Harden was there, you know,

(17:45):
if his foot was behind the line, and the series
against Milwaukee, maybe the Brooklyn Nets win that series, they
go to seven games. Kyrie Irving's not available for that,
like all that stuff, you know. It just like a
lot of things just didn't work out. Bad luck, COVIDID health,
all that stuff. Bad luck just didn't work out. But
it didn't work out for a lot of us during
that time. And so then Kevin Durant gets to Phoenix.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
I was like, oh, here he goes. He's not not happy.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
There wasn't happy in Oklahoma City, wasn't happening in Golden State,
wasn't happy in Brooklyn. Is he ever going to be happy?
He gets to Phoenix. First time he goes to play
for Phoenix in a layup line, he rolls his ankle
and there are people making jokes about it. It's like, dude,

(18:33):
what he deserved that because he got traded to Phoenix.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
He deserved it.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Okay, Apparently, so the next time you decide you don't
want to be somewhere, I hope you roll your ankle.
That's that punishment is suffice for somebody who doesn't want.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
To be anywhere anymore.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
In the NBA, apparently according to people, when it comes
to Kevin Durant and now he goes someplace else, he
gets another star. It's Bradley Beal, a little bit of
a you know, maybe a down couple of years. He's
dealt with some health issues. He's twenty nine years old now,
but nonetheless great player and those three together are gonna
be fun to watch and they're gonna be favorites to

(19:10):
win it all, and they should be. But it's like
at every turn he never gets a break. Like even
when Durant goes on Twitter, people complain because he bites
back at Twitter users that are that are taking shots
at him. Well, he should be bigger than that. Have
you seen your interactions on Twitter? Like I've caught strays

(19:35):
on Twitter between arguments between people here at the network
or people outside of the network, and they're arguing about politics,
and I'm like, what have I got to do with
all this? I've seen your behavior on Twitter? So he's
got a couple of burner accounts. Who cares. Guy can't
make a burner account, can't make some sort of a
parody account. At least he owned it. You know how

(19:56):
many people lie about burner accounts. Brady Quinn's been a
q ME having burner accounts for years, never had one.
So not only do people lie about having them, they
lie about who has them. Kevin Durant has him and says, yeah,
I got him right here, I do right here. You
had an NBA official who had a burner account, and

(20:17):
then his brother had to fall on the sword and
say no, that was me. He had nothing to do
with it. The seventy six ers had to fire a
front office guy because he had a burner account. Everybody's
playing the mysterious burner account game. Kevin Durant's like, no,
I got one right over here. Yeah, I'll argue with
you on the burner account and on my own account,
and if you don't like it, you can kiss my ass.
I hope this works out splendidly for Kevin Durant. I

(20:41):
hope the Suns win it all next year. I hope
he's the best player in the finals again like he
was the two times he won it. I hope it
works out for Kevin Durant, just so he can stick
it to everybody who's been busting his balls for either
doing the same things you would all do or having
the same bad luck you all had over the past
couple years. Good for Kevin Durant, love the deal for

(21:02):
the Phoenix Suns, two pros and a cup of Joe
Here on FSR. Comeing up and we'll call it fifteen
minutes from now in another edition of In case you
missed it, did we have some cheating in the world
of sports over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
There's the thought that there was some cheating going on.
We will get into that for you again fifteen minutes
from now here on the from thetiraq dot com studios.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
So there are some people who no matter what, they
just continue to get gifts. You know, they just get
all the breaks, all of them, right, like you know,
maybe you know they win the lotto, Like there was
a report that some lady won the lotto and then
won it again. She's won it like twice. I mean,
at some point, like why don't you share the wealth?
Why don't you not play anymore? Make it fair for

(21:45):
everybody else? But there are some people that just they
continue to get gifts no matter what, even when they're
not deserving of gifts. Stuff just they just falls right
in their lap. And then other people out there that
have no luck whatsoever. Now I'm one of those people
when it comes to this, especially on sports betting, zero
luck whatsoever. Like if I'm betting on a horse race,

(22:07):
that's the race where the horse will lay down and decide, yeah,
I don't want to do this anymore. He could he
could have a three length lead with like twenty feet
to go, and that horse would lay down on the
track and just say, you know, I'm tired of this
guy in my back. I don't want to do this anymore.
Would somebody get this guard and him off my back.
I'm not doing this, and I'm especially not doing this
just so I could go get paid by sex for

(22:29):
the rest of my life and then have somebody wrap
flowers around my neck like it's some prize. That would
be the horse that I bet on. Some people just
don't have any luck, And I'm one of those people
when it comes to sports betting. And then there's other
people who, no matter what, it's gift after gift after
gift and apparently that's somebody is Bob Huggins.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Now.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
I don't know if you're aware of this. Bob Huggins
was in the news recently. A couple of months ago.
He was on Cincinnati radio and Bob Huggins made some comments,
some anti gay slurs about Xavier basketball back when they
were you know, he was coaching Cincinnati, and yeah, that
didn't go over too well. And the thought was, man,

(23:13):
the fact that Bob Huggins went on radio and Cincinnati
and made those comments, even though he's a West Virginia
coach man, that might cost him his job.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
That was the thought.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
No, definitely not didn't cost him his job. In fact,
he apologized. The university stood by him, and it was like, wow,
so you mean people do get second chances. And then
you realize, well, maybe that wasn't the second chance for

(23:45):
Bob Huggins. And then you think, okay, well that's the
worst it's gonna get. Gonna be a quiet offseason. They're
just gonna get ready for West Virginia basketball coming up.
Maybe they got like Kevin Pittsnagle bobblehead to start out
the year. Who knows, but it felt like we are
on our way to just focus on basketball. Lets everybody

(24:07):
get Bob Huggins out of the news. And then Bob
Huggins got a flat tire over the weekend, and when
police pulled him over, they realized, oh, side of the
cars all danged up. Bob Huggins isn't appears to be

(24:27):
a little bit kind of out of it. Then he
blows a point to one, had beer cans all over
the inside of his car. And then when they asked him, sir,
where were you? Where are you right now? We'd like
we have a couple of questions for you. He thought
he was in Columbus, Ohio. He was not in Columbus, Ohio. No,

(24:49):
definitely not. That's not the case. Bob Huggins was nowhere
near Columbus, Ohio. But don't worry about it. Bob Huggins
is not the head coach of West Virginia anymore because
he got to resign. So even on his third chance,
he still gets the graceful exit. Like, first of all,

(25:11):
this isn't his DUI number one for Bob Huggins. He
got one in two thousand and four. Now I've heard
some details about that dui from dear friend Andy Furman,
who was in Cincinnati at the time, and there's some
stuff maybe Bob Huggins wasn't alone in the car. I'm
just put it that way. Okay, just putting it that way.
But point is, he gets a dui back at oh four.

(25:34):
He makes the comments on Cincinnati radio a couple of
months ago. Then he gets annihilated, gets in his car,
starts driving around, gets a flat side of the car
is all banged up. They realize he's banged up two
point two to one, banged up beer cans all over
the inside, and doesn't know what city he's in or state,

(25:59):
and still gets to resign gracefully, Like if you're West Virginia,
wouldn't you say it? Listen, we allowed you back, can
we fire you?

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Make it? Make it seem like there's some sort of
a punishment here.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Instead, Bob Huggins just kind of moves on and he listen.
It's not the friendliest wait exit. He's a Hall of Famer,
had a great career. Everything I've heard about the guy,
he seems like a good dude. The decision making a
little questionable, but everything I've heard seems like a good dude.
And you just look at it and go anybody else.

(26:32):
They would be fired, They would be ridiculed. Like probably
the last time, I actually credited West Virginia for sticking
by the guy. Obviously nobody supports what he said, but
the fact that they stuck by the guy and said, listen,
he made a mistake, second chances whatever, blah blah blah
blah blah. List it's popular now to just cancel people.

(26:54):
That's the popular move. And West Virginia said, no, we're
going to take a different approach. He's gonna have to
pay like a million dollar, he's gonna have to get
back his salary, he's gonna miss some time, but we're
gonna stick by this guy because we believe in second chances.
And then a couple of months later, he gets on
the liver lube, gets behind the wheel and starts playing
bumper cars with beer cans in the front seat and

(27:17):
still gets to resign. Unbelievable, Like the duy is not
the laughing matter. It's the fact that he gets to
kind of peacefully go on. And then we just you know,
and say that's the end of Bob Huggins. But you
know what, hey, listen, what's gonna happen next He's gonna
coach some D two team in a couple of years.

(27:38):
Wants to get the itch and go back into coaching,
and it'll be welcome to man. Do you remember Rick Patino?
Rick Patino was I mean, you talk about a guy
who was vilified. I mean whether it was prostitutes allegedly
that were brought to the school as one of the
perks for some of his players. May you know he

(28:00):
had an affair at an Italian restaurant afterwards, which I
don't know about. You made me rethink whether or not
I wanted the breadsticks at Buka to Beppo. Now that
I know where that table's been, I'm not saying it's
Book of Beppo. It's the only Italian restaurant I know,
all right, Sorry, I'm not cultured enough.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
We don't have a lot of those out here where
I live.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
The point is that was Rick Patino, and now he's
throwing out the first pitch at the Mets game. I
thought he got prostitutes for people. The thing is, the
whole thing's amazing. And so Bob Huggins, apparently, after his
second dy and second issue publicly in which he embarrassed

(28:42):
the program in a couple of months gets to gracefully leave,
which is yet another example that some people just get
breaks that other people don't. Jonas Knox Two Pros and

sports or entertainment. Good thing the guys are here to
bring you in case you missed.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
It, but that we turn it over to our executive
producer lead to Di di Digital app.

Speaker 7 (30:58):
Good morning, everybody, Good morning Jonas. In case you missed
this over the weekend, UFC Vegas seventy five, the bantamweight
fight between Dan Arguetta and Ronnie Lawrence. A lot of
controversy coming out of this fight. It only lasted just
over two minutes before referee Keith Peterson stopped the fight
and called it a tap out by Lawrence. But after

(31:19):
review of this said TapouT, they decided that there was
no TapouT, it was an incorrect call, and then ultimately
changed the decision to no contest. Now have you seen this, Jonas.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Yeah, listen, I know, I know it's easy.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Everybody assumes that there's some scandal going on or there's
some cheating. To me, it felt like the referee grabbed
the guy's hand because we were looking at it during
the break, and when he grabbed his hand, his hand
slipped and the fighter's hand ended up kind of motioning
towards the you know, the guy's body who he had

(31:54):
him in the in the choke hold, right, And so
I could see how you would view that as somebody
finally tapping after getting close to tapping, but he didn't tap,
like there was no tap here. So yeah, it was
it was a bad call, bad stoppage, ruled a no contest,
you know, And it sucks for those guys because there's
win bonuses, performance bonuses, submission of the night, all the

(32:15):
other things that come along with it. And so now
you lose out on that money. But the guy's not
on the take. He's not. There's no gambling scandal going
on here, and now it feels like there are people
out there that assuming that he's cheating the official.

Speaker 7 (32:28):
Now what does happen for better is it is basically
a push kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, like it just the bet gets canceled out right,
you know. I mean, unless you're you're betting through somebody
who's just an a hole and they want to hold
onto your money, then they'll they'll go that route. But
they've got that you know. That's that's what they can
do if they choose to do so. And that's probably
bad for business, but it's also this guy, Keith Peterson
has been a ref in the UFC and do an
MMA for a long time.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
And the UFC, like a lot of people, don't realize this.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
They've had their own gambling scandal to where there was
a guy in Kansas City, James Krause, who was a
former UFC fighter. He also trains fighters, and he's got
a lot of fighters who he trains, even world champions,
And there was a story that came out where one
of his fighters knew he was really injured and went

(33:14):
out and lost pretty early on in one of his
fights and then admitted after the fact, yeah, I was injured,
but I had to fight. I've got bills to pay. Well,
the problem is all the betting lines swung the other
direction against him before the fight took place. And you've
got this trainer of this camp who has a podcast

(33:36):
in which he gives out gambling advice on MMA fights.
And so the UFC looked at that and realized, well,
that's kind of a problem, and so now anybody that's
associated with this guy's camp is not allowed to bet.
And the UFC went afterwards and made all of these
you know, these decisions and these restrictions on betting on fights,

(33:58):
UFC fighters camp on anybody's fights. I mean they went
above and beyond, even more so than what the NFL
has done. So I understand what's a sensitive issue, but
this to me doesn't feel like cheating at all.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
What else we got?

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Lead? In case you missed it, Hey, by the way,
has a field and not be interrupted with somebody on
your name.

Speaker 7 (34:14):
It's just throwing me off a little.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
It did kind of throw you off off, it did.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Yeah, It's kind of like when but when somebody finally
you know, like you had there, you're just assuming you're
gonna walk into a mess and the house is clean.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
You're like, wow, look at that. I don't know what
to do with me.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
It's it's weird. All this time I've got in my hand. Sorry,
what else we got?

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Well?

Speaker 7 (34:31):
In case you missed, this tough weekend for the Pittsburgh
Pirates after being swept by the Chicago Cubs. Good job Cubs.
They had a contract in place with a bus driver
to transport them from Chicago to Milwaukee with their next
series with the Brews, which, by the way, they get
swept in this one. Well, on the way between Chicago
and Milwaukee, they get pulled over because the bus driver

(34:53):
was driving erradically, left the police escort, which was you know,
they were getting escorted from Chicago to Milwaukee, continued to
drive radically, so they pulled him over, charging with a dui.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Jesus, how about Bob Huggins, you know, turning to bus
driving after his coaching career. Huh, that's something. It's amazing
how this works. So the bus driver got a dui?
So where was he? Well, I mean, look there.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Nobody's encouraging driving under the influence. Okay.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
So if anybody can't figure that out, and you're too
sensitive to this topic and we can't just look at
this and go this is obscene and absurd and we
laugh about the absurdity of it all, then you're just
an idiot. But so was he leaving Chicago to go
to Milwaukee?

Speaker 1 (35:37):
That is correct.

Speaker 7 (35:38):
They had just lost to Chicago and we're on their
way to the next series against the Brewers.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Yea, God, I wonder where he got banged up in
Chicago before he left? Was it right outside the stadium
from r I mean, look, Murphy's Bleachers is right across
the way. That's a wonderful place. I remember going to Chicago.
This is probably two thousand and five ish, and I
remember going to Murphy's Bleachers.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
A game had just ended.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
I don't even think My buddy and I went to
the game and we're inside Murphy's Bleachers having a beer.
It started raining, so you know, it kind of emptied
out at that point. And Ryan Dempster, who was a
pitcher for the Cubs, they were getting ready to go
on a road trip and they were leaving from Chicago
that afternoon. And Ryan Dempster, a pitcher from the Cubs,

(36:24):
ran in through the rain, right up to Murphy's Bleachers,
slammed a beer, and then ran onto the bus. Unless So, look,
I mean it's a different environment out there, and so
maybe this bus driver got a little bit frisky at
Murphy's Bleachers or somewhere else, and then they ended up
getting behind the wheel.

Speaker 7 (36:39):
You know what's really weird, Jonas As you say, Dempster,
he was pulled over and arrested on Dempster Street.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
See it all ties together, all ties together?

Speaker 2 (36:47):
How about that Mark Nobody knows Chicago like this show
when it comes to drunkenness, DUIs and bus drivers and
former pitchers and streets named after former pictures.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
This is the show you turned to talking about Mark.
All right, what else we got, Lee?

Speaker 7 (37:02):
We've talked about this before. Well, congratulations to the Golden Knights.
You've won the Stanley Cup and now you've been offered
a free sex orgy at the Old Chicken Ranch by
our by fan of the show, Alice Little. She's she's
added again. Of course we remember her offering free sex
for life for Jimmy Garoppolo joining the Vegas Raiders. She

(37:22):
is now up up the Annie. So you could say,
dozens of ladies myself included already in waiting at the
Chicken Ranch to treat the Knights to any in every
cardinal delight, and there will be absolutely no penalties or misconduct.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
You know. I love when people order a salad because
they're trying to eat healthy, and they pour ranch dressing
all over the top of it, and it's like, all right,
what are we doing here?

Speaker 1 (37:42):
And then they'll get creutons. It's like, all right, well,
why don't you just get.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
A sandwich, get a cheeseburger if you're gonna if you're
gonna behave like that, I love how the big threat
to a sports franchise in Vegas was whether or not
people were gonna be able to not gamble while while
having a team in Vegas, and instead it turns out
that wants a team finally wins. You got a bunch
of players who are getting free laugh dances and orgies
from some of the locals that are around the city.
