Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up on
this black and drag edition of a football Recap Monday.
Of course, we're going to talk about the classic that
took place in Santa Clara last night between the Bears
and the forty nine Ers, what it says about each
team moving forward, and an early look ahead to the
big one on Saturday night between the Seahawks and the
(00:22):
forty nine Ers. Plus, we're gonna have a conversation about
the Philadelphia Eagles. Somehow, some way, they keep getting it done,
and they do it on defense, and they've got a
monster on that side of the ball. And do you
agree with Buffalo's decision to go for two? Speaking of
going for it, the AFC North's going to go for it,
win and get in. But who do you trust to
making a deep run in the AFC playoffs. We're also
(00:44):
going to talk about the NFC South and whatever the
hell you make of that. We've got another edition of
in case you missed it. We've got our FSR I
R and the Great Pete Prisco stops by. It's all
yours coming up next here two Pros and a cup
of Joe on a Football Recap Monday, Fox Sports Radio.

Check out our new channel on YouTube again. Just search
two pros FSR and subscribe. People just think, they just
(02:13):
think they can just take whatever they want at me.
It's just wild, man.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
I don't I don't get it, man. But you know
what I did learn a long time ago that people
grow up differently. You know, they have different backgrounds, they
have different ways of doing things. Like there's this thing
called home training. And I used to think home training
meant that getting trained to do things positively in the
(02:47):
right way was what home training meant. But really it's
a broader term. It has broader meaning. Yeah, which means
whatever home you're in, however you're trained at home, is
how you are home trained. That doesn't necessarily mean that
that's a good thing. So we'll just leave it there.
I feel like I feel like my man Kyle Shanahan. Though.
(03:08):
You know, I'm gonna make it work with a pair
of backups. Yeah, I mean I'm gonna get out here.
I'm gonna make it work with some backups. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
If people got to stop taking Levar's headphones, gotta knock
it off.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Whoever you are, do you leave your headphones in the studio.
You know, go figure, go figure, right now, I leave
my headphones and no, you might as well leave them outside. Yeah,
well if that's the case, then we got issues. Yeah.
I love my laptop here once and I was told
to come back and get it, so no one took it.
And I think that's the most ridiculous thing I ever. Yeah,
(03:39):
that's that's gotta be ridiculous. You just said, did you
leave your headphones in your studio? Like like three people,
three three shows, maybe three shows use this studio, you know,
Like I said, again, home training is real. And you know,
(04:03):
if you felt it necessary to take those headphones in particular, like,
that's crazy. Yeah, that's crazy. And I leave my heaters
in here so people can use it. One got broken,
you know, they broke it.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Wasn't me.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Somebody broke it. Bring another one in here, people could
you know? All right, I leave it there. I did
put a sign on it at one point. Don't touch it.
You know, we did pretty good. People took my mic
condom touched that, yeah, which which totally shed It's a
different height on the people you are. Yeah, that's a
that's a gross thing. When you are taking the talking
(04:41):
and I spit in when I'm talking coffee, Yeah, all
that stuff. Yeah, I mean what you coming for next?
God dang coming for my my crib damp? You're still
in the wrong stuff.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Speaking of uh, speaking of stealing. The Bears near stole
one last night in the Bay Area against the forty
nine ers.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
But man, oh man, was that a classic of a game? Again?
That was fun.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Now being a defender, yeah, it's like and and furthermore,
the pass rush left a lot to be desired for
both teams, which has been the case. The Bears are
you know, bottom third of the league in rushing the passer.
The Niners, I believe are close to last, if not
second to last, in rushing the passer. But that was
(05:32):
that had all the makings of two very good playoff
teams that you look at and go, I don't know,
maybe they'll see each other again, like maybe maybe they'll
maybe they'll have an opportunity to see each other again.
But that was a really, really fun game last night
with two coaches offensive mining coaches who were just out there,
(05:53):
you know, rolling with whatever their whatever their play calls were.
And and credit to brock Party in the Niners, man,
I think if you're Ben Johnson, you're Caleb Williams, and
you're the Bears organization. You looked at the Niners last
night and said, yet that's the one that we're striving
to be, Like, that's the one with what they've done
for as consistent as they've been. And to be able
(06:16):
to do that and do what he's done with Brock
Party especially, you know, since he's come back from injury,
it has just been tremendous for San France.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
It's amazing. You don't have kittle. Trent Williams goes out
in the first play after the first play, Bosa Fred
Warner Riverside Yeah, which, by the way, you can't spell
Riverside without rivers. But I guess we'll get yeahn later
or maybe we won't. They're not. I mean they're going
(06:44):
home and they're not. That's I think the most interesting
story about him is how old rivers is. Cayle Shanahan
has done something correct, and you know what I think
it is. It's so inches because pre snap movement is
a real thing, right Like you've heard you if you
(07:05):
were listening to the commentators, if you've heard Brady talk
about it when he's here, pre snap movement is a
very real thing. What I noticed about what Kyle Shanahan
is doing now is he's using the alignments, then he's
(07:27):
using the movements, the shifts, then he's using the motions,
and usually you're using it to be able to one
get the defenders to get their eyes off of what
their keys are. It's so funny because Fred Warner was
saying it during the pregame, like you gotta you gotta
keep your eyes where they're supposed to be and work
(07:51):
through all of the minutia to be able to keep
your eyes on your keys. And he was talking about
Ben Johnson's offense. I believe he should have been talking
about Kyle shanahans KYL moves your eyes, he moves your
your alignments. And now what he's done, as an extra
(08:11):
added piece to it, a dimension that that we haven't
really seen, is the way he's he's getting your eyes
to go when the ball is snapped after the pre
pre movement of the formations, he's going the opposite. He's
going opposite of what the keys would say, which is
(08:33):
he's totally brain effing people out there. So it's just
another level. It's that that what we saw last night
was some next level type of efferty like he was
because he was basically getting the defense ready for Okay, bam,
the motion is going this way. It's got to be
a wham or a setup cutback for this play based
(08:55):
off of where the HVAC ends up being aligned and
his motioning like his where his path is wants the
ball is snap. But then you realize he's still just
running that vintage zone blocking scheme that his dad ran
and had so much success with in Denver. He's just
(09:15):
dressing it differently than what it what it's been. I mean,
Mike Shanahan was just very this is what we're doing,
this is the direction we're going, and the way they
blocked it. You knew it was coming. And give me
into and give me any running back you want and
you can't stop it. And you can't stop it just
(09:36):
just based upon the way they were able to block it.
And obviously you put a good running back back there
that understands how to read the flow of the blocking scheme,
you're going to have uh success. They're doing it with
one with with a makeshift you know, group of people,
but then you're also doing it in a way where
(09:59):
it's just you haven't seen it. I have never seen.
I have never seen the shifts to get to where
they got to. You create, You create the thought process
that okay, I'm following youth check to wherever he's going.
He's going to take me to the ball. He comes across.
(10:21):
It looks like it could be like a wham, or
not so much a classic wham because he's not in movement,
but it's almost like a power maybe like a almost
like a setup for a counter power, if that's even
what you could call it. And they go to opposite
way and it's blocked zone wise, the opposite way. It
(10:45):
was just it was very masterful. It was a masterclass
on movement, shifts, motions, play actions, ball discipline. I guess
when you don't have all of your big guns and
you got to try to figure out how you can
still be as effective as possible with what you have
personnel wise, there's something to be said. And I know
(11:09):
y'all don't believe me. You and Q think differently. There's
something to be said about superior coaching and superior superior scheming.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Oh no, And look, I've known David Anderson a buddy
of mine who I went to a thousand oks high school.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
I went to high school with him.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
And he was telling me because he played a year
with Kyle Shanahan in Washington, and he said, and I said,
what was the difference between playing for Kyle Shanahan.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
And anybody else?
Speaker 1 (11:39):
He goes, there would just be times and he was
wide receiver, so there just be times I turn around
and get the ball and there was nobody near me.
He goes, how do we do that? And he just
had a way to manipulate the defense and scheme stuff up.
And I think, you know clearly there's it is about coaching,
(12:00):
and I want to I don't want to say that
Brock Purdy is not a good player. I don't want
to say they haven't had good players, but Kyle Shannan
has been put in tough spots. Trey Lance was supposed
to be the guy that was supposed to happen, And
if you believe some of the reports, what was originally
supposed to happen is that Aaron Rodgers was supposed to
be the guy. Trey Lance was supposed to be the
guy that was supposed to happen, and it didn't. The
(12:22):
Jimmy Garoppolo experience, Uh, the injuries to Trey Lance, all
of that stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Experience was a good experience though, wasn't bad.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
No, But I'm saying with Garoppolo, you know there was
health concerns there and then they had to bring him
back and they had to work through all that. Like
there's been situations where he has not been put in
an advantageous situation but has still.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Somehow, some way, And like, this's this entire season, Kyle
Shanahan in this this San Francisco team, it's been this
entire season.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
I'd be willing to bet he didn't want Brandon nyuk
Re signed for the money they gave him. I'd be
willing to bet that he just dealt with it because
John Lynch signed off on it.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
And look what we got and he's nowhere to be found.
I mean, here's the thing. They would be a better
team with better players. Yeah, that I'll agree with with
you guys like players, Yes, they make a difference. You
have better players in theory, you should get better results.
But with that being said, it's it's also when you're
(13:27):
able to deal with the circumstances that you're dealt and
you don't just pack it up and pack it in
and say, well, Nick Bosas out, can't you know, can't
make it work this year? Ah, Trent Williams just went
out the game. It's a rap. Seemac isn't playing. He's
not up. Kittle, Oh, Kittle's not up. It's a rap.
(13:50):
Forget about it. We did a great job bringing athletes
in and all we have to do is manage the athletes.
Which there are some teams that you could say talent
why like that Philadelphia Eagles defense, talent wise, put them
out there, tell them, tell them, you know, defensive front,
do whatever you're going to do. The linebackers will make
(14:12):
you correct, and the safeties are are going to be
our last line of defense. And guys on the outsides
covers as long as you can because our defensive front
is going to get it done. It doesn't take a
genius or a brainiac to be able to coach the
Philadelphia Eagles defense. They go out there on the field,
you just say, hey, do whatever you want, do what
(14:35):
you want. It don't even matter because they're going to
dominate you so much upfront and it's going to be
so much stress on a defense on an offense up front,
it's like the linebackers are. It's like a steel curtain
defense with like ELC and Me and Joe and all
those guys. You have such a dominant force of guys
(15:00):
up front for the Eagles that everybody else it's like,
don't mess it up. You don't have that with the
forty nine ers. And to see the way that they
come through and again after last night, I'm looking at
Brock Purdy. I'm not saying that he's a game managing quarterback.
(15:22):
I'm saying he shows he shows the characteristics and the
traits of a franchise guy. He's not just he made
plays last night. He didn't just manage the game.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
And he's done it on the biggest stage like we've
seen him do it in the Super Bowl, and you
can argue they should have won that Super Bowl, much
like they probably should have won the Super Bowl when
Jimmy Garoppolo was with the team and they had a
lead with about six minutes left. Like there's been so
like yeah, I'm with you on Kyle Shannan, and the
performance last night was outstanding by Brock Purty and Kyle
(15:58):
Shannon actually talked post game about the second half of
the season.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
They are rolling six straight wins. Here was the Niners
head coach.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
I feel like we've been getting better this whole second
half of the year. You know, we going to start
out the way we wanted to. Thought we probably had
one of our best games the year last week. The
guys have kind of been feeding off it. And it's
never one or two guys, it's all eleven. And I
feel like our guys are playing really well as a
group right now, and we play well as a group.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Usually run thing. The run game is what shows. I mean,
there's a there's a chance they get to the playoffs
and they're never having to leave home super Bowls. That's
what they were able to give that what they did.
What you're saying they got to win, Yeah, but they
got all home games after winning that game last.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
No, they've got so the NFC West will be up
for grabs next week. That'll be Seattle and San.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Fran which is another good team.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Yeah, and that'll be the one seed coming up later on.
But yeah, I just I come away last night going
that was a really really fun game. The Bears had
their opportunit unities, they had pulled that off again last second,
and this time on the road. You know, they'd already
won the NFC North based on what happened on Saturday
(17:09):
night in Green Bay. So you looked at that they
were banged up themselves a little bit. But I came
away from that game going, damn man, those are two
playoff teams and if somehow, some way they were to
meet again, that's going to be a fun matchup. Like
that's a really fun matchup.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
I feel like it. Yes, quickly you could say, yes,
it'll be a fun matchup to watch it they play again.
You know, you don't know if it's going to play
out the way it did last night, where there's just
so much like those guys got so comfortable and in
such a rhythm so quickly in the game. It was
(17:45):
kind of it was to me, it was a little disappointing,
Like it's like they're joking around, like how do you
score so easily? You know in the game what they
said this was like the first time and what all
season or whatever it was that you got four touchdowns
in one quarter something some weird little statistic. You know,
(18:07):
they come out with all them weird are you.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
If you're if you're a defender on one of those teams,
because you've talked about this before when one side of
the ball just isn't holding up there under the bargain.
If you're a defender on one of those teams and
you kind of your eyes kind of down on the
ground when you're walking by some guys, are they giving
to you a hard time?
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Because if that, if it was the opposite, I don't
know that they're giving you a hard time as possible
depending on what type of person it is, but they're
looking at you. Oh, I mean, you gotta feel it.
You know, you got to have a sense of pride
about what it is that you do as that's your job.
Your job is to defend. Now, I will say some
(18:47):
of these calls and listen, it's always going to be
an age old conversation. I get it. But some of it,
some like that one play where the defender came up,
went through the blocker's leg and tackled the guy and
got called for it, and the guy talking about it,
(19:08):
he's like, oh, yeah, you can't do that. That's a
foul die. That's like the way they're Harry McCauley, the
way they're making this game. It's told like, listen, at
some point, at some point, and maybe you saw shades
of it last night. I don't think so, but maybe
I don't know. But at some point, defenders are going
(19:30):
to accept that you have made this so that offensive
players can can do basically what they want in scoring
scoring points, and we're just we're paid extras. We're paid extras.
I'm enjoying my money. I mean, at this point, it's like,
(19:51):
I'm gonna stay healthy, I'm ana make sure that it
looks good. I'm gonna be on some Mike Tyson, Anthony
Joshua Versus Jake Paul Ta stuff. And if I get
an opportunity, I'll take it. If I don't, I'm gonna
just stick to the script. And at some point you're
gonna put so much legislation and so many rules in
(20:12):
the game where like these offensive guys like Jalen Hurts
tried to take advantage of it yesterday like oh I'm
going out No, I'm not, Yes, i am like bro
like hit him in the face, like knock his face off,
go out of bounce, Like when you look like you're
about to declare that you're going out of bounce. The
play should be blown dead like this, I'm going out.
(20:33):
Maybe I'm not. I'm gonna get a couple more yards. Ah,
you know that what I'm gonna do like what I don't.
And it's created this NBA type of mentality where you
complain about every single call that you don't get. You
notice that, Have you noticed that? Well? Yeah, every single
(20:55):
play there's an offensive player complaining for a flag every
single play that doesn't go there.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Well you know it's also it's also messed me up
to the point to where every time there's a and
up for grabs throw you there's a flag, I'm looking
around going all right, where's the flag? Like, where's the
is the yellow graphic coming on?
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Like? I look around everywhere for it.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
When there's when there's a big hit, I'm looking around going, okay.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Is that going to be fifteen yards? When you touch her?
It's like is there going to be a fifteen yarder? Yeah?
It's just it's crazy, like, dude, dude got a cam
Hayward got a flag for going through the blocker, not around.
(21:41):
He went through the blocker. He's being blocked by National
Football League offensive lineman. While he's going through the block,
he gets a hold of the quarterback, gets a hold
of the quarterback, drops him down to the ground the ball, which,
by the way, the man still had the ball when
(22:04):
he got a hold of him. He's getting through the blocker,
he's making the tackle onto to the quarterback and they
gave him a fifteen yard penalty. And you know what,
Tony Romo's touched ass said, Oh, Jim, you gotta try
to pull up like again. You gotta try to get
your weight.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Going somewhere and somewhere else like Jim, gotta let him score.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
These commentators working through those moments is very very It's
very painful on my ears because you're listening to them
talk about things in a way where it's like, y'all
sound like some straight pussies. Jeez, you want to dump it?
Speaker 1 (22:55):
I mean, did I want to know? I did not,
but I would ask you to get away with that. Now,
show you listen to the podcast. Let me tell you,
let me tell you something. If we could's on my
list you can use that word and let me tell you,
if we could, that would be in my vernacular on radio.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
For the last ten years, that one up. It wasn't
being used. I know, it wasn't being used. I would
just ask you this.

Bear's thirty eight yard line.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Second down, Pretty drops back, Pretty steps up, pretty throws
hit up.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
Best genets.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
He's got it inside the twenty the ten, it's gone touchdown.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
I get Front Niners Radio Network on the call. That's
your tire ract play the day. For over forty years,
Tirerack's been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive. Ship Fast and freeback by
free Road has a protection with convenient installation options like
mobile tire installation tire rack dot Com. The way tire
buying should be so the other big one though, there
are two games in the in the late window yesterday,
(26:37):
and you had to choose a right. You could either
watch the Eagles and the Bills. You have to choose,
or you can watch the Giants and the Raiders, and.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
I mean, I think we all know which you should
have watched.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, that's that's a couple of bad teams in the
other one, but Eagles Bills. Yesterday you mentioned Philadelphia's defense.
Jalen Carter is a beast and whatever that guy's going
to get, whatever his contract's going to look like, he
deserves every penny. That guy's a game wrecker. He missed
(27:11):
the last three games and he was involved in seemingly
every single defensive series situation scenario they were in that
that had a positive outcome. Jalen Carter was involved in
all of it. Blocked an extra point. He's unbelievable. And
yesterday the Philadelphia Eagles go on the road in Buffalo
(27:31):
in the rain. Was not pretty, did not look like
the most glorious victory in the world, but still championship
pedigree and Philly gets it.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Done on the road. If they had an offense, this
team would be far and away probably the favorite to
win it again if they had That's how good their
defense is. Is that their offense isn't that good at all,
and they're still an eleven and five five team. That's
(28:01):
a top of the NFC East. That that is one
of the top ten teams in the NFC going into
and and some would say, you know, I got group
chats and one one one of the people in the
group chats. Sit. Man, they're getting hot at the right time.
Let's see. No offense, no offense, They're they're in trouble.
(28:24):
If you ask me, it's a team that's in trouble
because you have you have to bring more offense to
the table than what the Philadelphia Eagles are doing. That's there,
that's their achielleseel right now. They don't have their offense.
Isn't a good offense? That's your problem.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Man, You're just like every other Eagles fan, you know,
only looking at the negatives.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
I mean, I mean you want you want to hear
Nick Sirianni.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
He's got a little message to Philadelphia Eagles fans who
aren't happy about the performance.
Speaker 7 (28:53):
If you come out of this and you have then
you're spending you're just thinking about all the negative things
that happened. That makes for a miserable exist. We'll get there,
we'll get to what we need to clean up. And
you know, a really good first half by the offense,
not a great second half, and a lot of different reasons.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Why when he says we'll get there, it's week seventeen,
but maybe they'll get there. I mean, you're eleven and five,
and this is why I'll give them credit for You're
eleven and five and you won a really, really really
hard game that was not that was not an easy
(29:29):
game to win. To go into Orchard and be able
to pull off that victory, that is as quality of
victory as it gets. Even though the Buffalo Bills have
been known to be a little bit you know, they
have multiple personalities. Yeah, it's a multiple personality team that
(29:50):
you know, sometimes you don't know what you're going to get.
But that isn't the team you got yesterday. You got
a team that was ready to win, and they almost won.
They know they were a little bit off. I, for one,
would have after having that type of opportunity. I get
in a lot of ways. Why you know you you
(30:12):
went for the two. The defense was playing really well.
Maybe you didn't want to risk the tie coming in overtime,
but I might have. I might have kicked the field
goal and took it to overtime and saw what we
could get done in overtime. No extra point. I really
I really felt as though. But you know, there's the paranoia.
(30:33):
You got a field goal blocked earlier, Carter, Yeah, I
mean there's I get it. I get it. But I
would have rather have lost taking a field goal, an
extra point attempt and seeing what we could do in
overtime versus versus going for the two point In that moment,
(30:54):
Sean McDermott, the coach of the Bills, spoke about the
decision to go for two and go for the win
late that game. Let's take a listen the decision. I
want to be aggressive going for the win. You know,
would you feel like, you know, on a certain amount
of time left at that point, and so like a great,
(31:15):
great call, great opportunity to go win, and I'm going
to be aggressive.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
So I'm not gonna sit back.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
J Lott earlier impact years would make game.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Potentially, it wasn't everything, but I trust Josh Allen with the.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
Ball in his hands, and I do it over again.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Josh Allen even admitted afterwards, like I just I made
it backs the throw. Yeah, so the I mean, the
call was there, the play was there, the opportunity was there,
and you know he just he rolled with it and
decided I'm going to go and and trust my m
VP and my best player with the ball in his hands.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Late, But I think they what's that supposed to say?
Speaker 4 (31:52):
That?
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Well, it didn't work. Well, it didn't work.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
But I also think it says a lot about Philly's
defense because they had him rattled and scrambled the entire game.
Like Buffalo's offense did not look and they struggled last
week as well too. And I don't know if Josh
Allen's more hurt than he's leading on. There was a
report that he went in to get an x ray
after the game. We tried to tell everybody, I'm not injured,
I'm not banged up. You know, he had something going
(32:16):
on with his foot going into the game. He went
in to get an X ray afterwards. That's something to monitor.
But I just think Philadelphia's defense had them scrambled and
you know, like the goal line stop, Like there were
so many opportunities there for Buffalo to punch it in
(32:37):
to make a run at this thing, and Philadelphia just
stood up. And that's why in a wide open NFC
where you have no idea who to really trust going
into it, how do you not trust Philadelphia, who's been there,
won those big games, has that defense and as has
the talent on offense.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
It just hasn't clicked so far this year. As long
as their defense shows up they had, they should be
in every game, every game. But again, as long as
their defense shows up, I mean, imagine if they found
themselves in the type of game that San fran and
Chicago found themselves in last night. They don't have enough
firepower to be in a game like that, and they
(33:20):
should have enough firepower. They should have more than enough firepower.
I mean, personnel wise, you have Sakwan Barkley, you have
aj Brown, you have Johan Dotson, you have Smith Davonte Smith, Like,
you're loaded. You have a really really fine offensive front.
I mean, you have what you need. It doesn't make sense.
(33:46):
It does not make sense other than to think that
Jalen Hurts will always protect the best interests of the
integrity of what's going on with the game. In other words,
or he's going to protect the ball, not going to
take very many risks, and is going like he's going
(34:08):
to proudly and and and with honor. He's going to
manage the games. He's going to manage almost like a parent.
He's like a parent on the football field, you know
what I mean, Like you're not as a parent, You're
not going to have like you go to the park
or you go somewhere, you're always managing. You're always managing
(34:33):
that always yet hey, no, not on there, No, get down,
get down down right, leave him alone? Watch your watch
your footing? What are you doing? Yeah, put your shoe
back on. That's Jalen Hurts in my estimation, he's like
a dad, and maybe that's why it gets under people's
scaler in my case. Alto vomens no Moss true, thank you, Jerry,
(35:05):
thank you. I'm just saying, yeah, I mean they won
a Super Bowl and he won a MVP. Will Yeah,
I mean it's not like it doesn't work.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
And you know that the offense looks significantly better last
year as opposed to this year. Yeah, I just think
that speaks volumes about the NFC that you're going to
get a team like Philly who's not going to have
the one seed, who's not going to have anywhere close
to the one seed, who's going to be a real
threat to make what they're playing for that second seat,
(35:34):
right Yeah? Yeah, And if they get that second seat.
I mean, you have to go through Philly to get
it done. Plan against Philly, yeah, you got to do.
They'll get the two seven matchup and then you wait
to see the first round how that shapes up. But yeah,
they're going to get at least a game at home,
and that that's a problem. There's also the outside chance
(35:55):
they could end up with the Rams in the first round,
and we saw what happened last year in the playoffs.
That was a really close game. Rams probably should have
won the game earlier this year.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
So look, but at what point do you get to
a place where you say that about the Eagles, Like
last night, if you're watching that Eagles game, what do
you say about the Buffalo Bills. It's probably a game
that the Buffalo Bills should have got away, I should
have got out of and won. They should have been
able to get that two point conversion and won the game.
(36:26):
But when you look at the game and its entirety
and its whole Philadelphia did what they needed to do
and they won the game. They got a lead that
protected the lead. It's always going to be hard. The
further they go and the more they do it, it's
going to get harder and harder to say that's a
game they should have lost, because that's kind of the way.
(36:48):
They fight on their backs. They went on their back
and you don't have to dump that. You know. They
fight on their backs though, and they're pretty dann good
at it. Yeah, some people are so some people aren't.

I need to know in case we missed it? In
case you missed it?
Speaker 3 (39:25):
Okay, interesting, that's a good one. Well, speaking of in
case ing we missed it, here, let's go football here.
So Trey McBride, we all know the star tight end
for the Cardinals here, Well, yesterday after playing in that game,
he actually set single season reception record, not just for
the Cardinals, which he did break, but just for the NFL.
(39:47):
He broke the single season tight end reception record with
one hundred and nineteen catches.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
You know, they've got him. They've got Marvin Harrison Junior.
If they ever figured that out. Yeah, and they sink, but
at least he had a good year historic So.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Kobe is more cooked than an overnight slow smoke brisket.
They should call him to Kobe overcooked, slow cooked smoked brisket.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
You know what I was thinking about when we when
Trey McBride set the record yesterday. So if you were
to just think, like, you know, who were the best,
Like best tight ends that you could think of all time,
Like who would you.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Think like Gonzales Gates, Yeah, yeah, you know, never gets
brought up. Jason Witten.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Yeah, Jason Witten had twelve hundred and twenty eight catches.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
He's fourth all time.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
He's ahead of Marvin Harrison, Chris Carter, Tim Brown, Terrell Owens,
like Travis Kelcey's you know, a couple of hundred receptions
behind it. Just he gets kind of lost because I
think people, yeah and thank you, and that's that's our play.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
He's not He's not appreciated in that forum. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
In fact, I think I think I think they should
change his name to Jason Whiton to be honest.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
If that's the case, disrespect or Brown and then they
love him. I would Or Smith, Jason Smith. Don't we
have a Jason Smith?
Speaker 7 (41:21):
We do?
Speaker 2 (41:22):
There, you go, yes, we do. That's why he's got
a show. No one else we got Patrick.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
So, speaking of breaking records, here, this one's a rookie record.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Titans.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
She Mary DK actually broke Tim Brown's record for most
rookie all purpose yards. Now, a lot of that is
having to do with a lot of return yards because
he was a punt returner and all that good stuff.
So a lot of that I to do with that guy.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Speaking of DK, isn't he in a bad situation after yesterday? Huh?
Are we going to get into that? Oh we are, Yeah,
we're good.
Speaker 1 (41:53):
Da, we're going to get into that. In fact, you
know what what we're going to get into that next.
Do you think about that? Cause hack hack
