(02:12):
LeVar yet? Not yet, but that's happened later on today.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Yes, well yeah, all right, earlier.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Today, okay, and it's you know, it's like what like
a fifty five minute flight something like that for something
like that, yeah, quick flight, So you probably won't run
in any issues, no problems or anything like that. You know,
Like what I'm getting at is you probably won't be
standing in line to bathe like lead to Lap was with.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Homeless people yesterday morning.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Will you No, I will not find myself in that
type of scenario.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
So.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Lead to Lap for those of you that may have
missed it.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
He ran into all sorts of travel issues flying out
of Newark. His flight got cam, a flight got chained, delayed,
then delayed again. It got delayed like six to eight times.
Then the flight just got canceled. And I asked him,
I said, uh, so, where'd you sleep? And apparently he
slept outside the Newark train station and had to wait
(03:16):
until it opened at five in the morning so that
he could go in and rinse off with the rest
of the homeless people.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
CONTs off, I.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Swear to god, he's telling me the story. No, come on, man,
and like, yeah, that's his real Yeah, that's what he's
dealing with.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
And I mean, it's so much it's so much worse
than that.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
So the morals slept outside of the train station.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
There was nowhere to sleep.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
They didn't have hotels, So stay at the airport.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
I mean, what are you gonna do at the airport?
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Uh? Sleep?
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, But he was waiting to get inside so he
could try shower.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
What are you trying to shower for when you don't
have a shower.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
I mean, listen, get like I told you, it gets worse.
I mean, he doesn't know where his bags at. It
was on one of the flights that he was supposed
to be on. Like it's it's one of the worst
travel stories I've ever heard.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
I've never heard anything like it.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
And you're just trying to bathe, like you don't have
a place to bathe, so thug it.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah, it's a it's a it's a wild one. So
normally we do the F S R I R on
Monday mornings. And I Toldally, I was like, when you
get back tomorrow, I'm assuming he's gonna get back at
this point, who the hell knows. But if you give
it back tomorrow, you're going to dedicate an IR segment
just to hear your details of what went down, because
it is a a wild story. I mean, people just
(04:50):
people breaking down in the airport, sobbing it is.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
You find this thing.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Like what that mess is not okay?
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Man, it's it's so messy mess.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
There should be some type of recourse you could take
against these airlines. Man, it's not okay.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, he slept outside, Uh he slept outside Grand Central station?
Was the specifics there last two nights ago, maybe it
was last night at this point, who knows, But I mean,
in fairness, he does hang out at Margaritaville a lot.
So I don't know there's much of a difference between
that and Grand Central.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Stupid.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
I'm just saying it might have better appetizers now I
think about it. So, but that is the side truck,
Like the story what he what he tells the story tomorrow.
It's so bad that it makes you never want to
travel again. Like I just would rather knock it on
(05:51):
a flight ever again based on because you're just rolling
the dice. We talked about it you're rolling the dice
these days with airlines. And he said, like he had
a buddy, he was in the airport. He's also stranded.
Like the whole thing is wild. So that is, that's
that's the happenings with Lee. But you know, listen, you
fly private, you don't have to worry about any of
(06:11):
that stuff. You go to Vegas, so you're gonna be fine.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
Yeah today I am. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Wait are you really?
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
I was kidding. You're really flying private to Vegas?
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Wow? Again, the related bill is that.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
I mean, that's such a bad thing.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
It's not a bad thing. It's just, you know, that's
something I can't relate to. Hard hat lunch bail guy.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
You know. Yeah, you're not going to shame me. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
No, listen, if I could do it, I would. It's great,
But more of the story is at least I'm.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Not even going to you see how I didn't entertain
it like, I mean, you asked me. I told you
it wasn't. It wasn't. I didn't go unsolicited. I mean
you asked me yesterday. I told you yesterday. You act
like you didn't. You didn't you know, Yes, that's what
I'm doing. Yeah, good, no, no, no cancelations today. Hopefully
(07:06):
it's been The weather's actually been good here, so good.
Finally back to being California and I'm hitting the Vegas
so there you go. It's not a long flight, so
it's not like this like I could see if you
you know, I chartered for across cross country coast to coast.
I'm just going, I'm hopping.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah, well listen, uh, it's like.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
A four hour drive. Five hour drive. Yeah, so I
mean you could drive, but you know, or you could
get a pretty pretty decent rate on a on a
private that's not bad.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Yeah, so you're gonna have You're gonna have a much better,
much better run at it.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Than lead the lap is.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
I mean, let's hope.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
So yeah, let's hope.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
So I think we'll be good Grand Central. Yeah, that's
that's that's that's kind of disheartening. Man.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
You imagine hanging out, they got a bonfire going, some
guy's got a sewer rat on a pool queue that
somebody left behind in a dumpster, and LI sitting there
sharing a brown bag of booze with the guy going.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
So what do you do for work? Nothing? What about you? Nothing?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
This week? I'm a radio producer of a big time
morning show.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yeah, yeah, right, sure you are, buddy.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
I give this guy a drink. So you think you're
better than USh?
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, it's just h yeah, yeah, it's a wild tale
that we will get all the details on him.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
You're trying to be attractive to the ladies. Huh, it's
just he's got a job.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yeah, you think you're better than USh?
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, it's So let's talk about a little bit of
good news though, before we wrap up this opening segment
with nothing but bad news from the travel standpoint. Uh,
We've got good news for NFL fans out there listening
to the show that are getting ready to watch the
NFL next year. So obviously, the DirecTV Sunday Ticket like
(09:08):
they're moving over to YouTube TV and direct TV and
NFL Media announced a multi year deal to keep the
NFL network on direct TV, and NFL Red Zone is
back on DirecTV and hosted by Scott Hansen this upcoming season.
So if you are one of the people, I think
there's a lot of people out there that prefer just
(09:29):
the Red Zone channel as opposed to having to watch
all the other games. I know a ton of people
that are like that. Now the option is going to
be back on DirecTV, so you don't have to worry
about maybe spending all that money to go get the
NFL Sunday ticket package through YouTube. Now you can just
watch the Red Zone if you choose to do so
on direct TV next season. So some people will probably
(09:49):
be fired up about that. It probably doesn't impact you
and I because we've got to watch all the games.
But if you're just into the highlights, and I think
a lot of people, especially in today's culture where you're
all about, you know, lack of patience, you want the
quick hits, you want to see the scores. You want
to get straight to the point, not really get caught
up in the minutia of everything that goes on between
(10:09):
the twenties. Now you've got to Direct TV with Red
Zone back this upcoming season. So that's some good news
there bar for.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
A lot of that's I mean, it sounds positive. I
don't say anything negative about that other good other than
if you don't have direct TV like some of us don't.
I don't have direct TV, so it doesn't directly impact me.
But for those who do, you know, good for you,
because I think they were saying like like this NFL
(10:37):
stuff was leaving Direct TV, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Yeah, it's on YouTube now. Yeah, so their YouTube TVs and.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
You have to get a subscription to use YouTube to
watch that.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
I'm assuming Yeah, I think it's like three hundred and
forty nine bucks to get it for all the games, which,
by the way, if you think about it, bang for
your buck. That's not bad. You get, you know, eighteen
weeks of NFL game ames for three hundred and fifty bucks.
I mean it's a bulk payment upfront, which a lot
of people aren't happy about them, assuming you can split
it up into monthly payments, but you know, bang for
(11:08):
your buck as far as entertainment goes, it's hard to
beat that.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
I think there's a lot of people.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
That the NFL is you know, when it comes up
in a couple of months. Man, Sundays are kind of
like their social life. They hang out.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
I'll just say this for for a lot of families,
you have you have you have technology that allows for
you to watch YouTube on your television, But for a
lot of other families you don't have that on your television.
(11:41):
So it's almost like and listen, kids these days, they
don't watch television much on regular you know monitors anymore,
they do it on their phones. So if you're a
traveling person and you're always on the go and you're
on the move, I would assume that this is a
(12:02):
tremendous option because you can be anywhere and everywhere being
able to watch watch the games, which I don't I
would assume before now you weren't able to do that
with direct TV. But I will say if you're an
old school like me, and you don't want to consume
your content on your cell phone all the time, and
(12:24):
you want to do things like you know, you surround
sound to watch the games and stuff like that and
have like a real game day experience when you're you know,
you know, taking in your games, and you don't have
YouTube availability on your TV, then that that kind of
becomes a problem, you know, if your TV doesn't have
(12:45):
YouTube capabilities and you know that's well, I don't know.
I guess I'm having non non smart TV empathy and
sympathies for people out there because they're going to get
left out on this unless they go buy a new
TV monitor.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I mean, I think there's options you can go, Like,
like you can always go to a sports bar. I
mean direct TV Sunday tickets still going to be available
at sports bars.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yeah, but well if you don't want to go out, well,
if you want to watch it at your house, do
what it takes. Yeah, well what if you don't have
the budget to do that. Some people can't budget out
to get a TV that has YouTube mon It's real simple.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Then you just start selling your kids toys on eBay
and make that money back.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
It's not that hard.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
I mean it sounds like something you've done.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Look, you gotta make against meat. Hey, my kid's got
enough garbage trucks at home. If I got to pay
for YouTube TV, I'm slinging two or three toy He.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Looks real comfortable. I'll tell you that the last the
last content you gave me. I mean he he ain't
doing bad in life, that's for certain.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Yeah, yeah he's And by the way, he's got the
da Kembi Matumbo finger waged down to where if he
doesn't like what's on TV, he looks at me and goes.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
No, no, no, no and wait more.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
No no.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Do quite sound like that? No no, it said to
Kevin Mtumbo, Where's what is he like? Face timing with
somebody like Okay, that's no yeah, oh wow, I don't
believe it's actually the Kevi with Tumbo. Sam just has
a drop that says, to Kevi with Tumbo, it's definitely him.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
You also have a drop of that was to kem Bamutumbo.
Could you imagine that the Kimbae Mutumbo walking outside of
Grand Central Station like doing that to the people who
didn't get onto their air flight.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
They're playing flights like like Lee's tried to Lee's tried
to get something.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
To eat, and he just waves his finger at him
and says.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
No, no, no. Could you imagine if every single time
that you could buy like a feature, that every single
time you're about to do something fed up or or incorrect,
Matumbo appears and in like a hologram form and says no, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
No no no. It's like the good angel on your
shoulder telling me what not to do. Yeah, that would be.
That would be something like.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
You're about to leave the bar with this person that
you don't even know because you're you're s face drunk,
and then all of a sudden, to Kenbae Matumbo hologram
shows up.
Speaker 7 (15:12):
You know, yeah, just said you know It is two

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here coming up in
a little over twenty minutes from now the tire rack
dot Com studios. It's one of the saddest stories involving
multiple superstars in the world of sports, and it's gotten
even worse. You will hear the proof coming up in
(17:13):
about twenty minutes from now from the tire rack dot
Com Studios, LaVar Arrington. The Philadelphia Eagles come into this
next season defending NFC champions a lot of optimism, a
lot of frustration over what happened in the Super Bowl.
But their quarterback, Jalen Hurts has got a brand new contract.
He's the quarterback of the future. He is their franchise
(17:34):
quarterback there in Philly. And one guy who decided to
come back in the late stages of his career is
center Jason Kelce, future Hall of Famer. He spoke with
Sports Take with Derek Gun and Rob Ellis about Jalen
Hurts and his reaction to his performance following the Super Bowl.
Speaker 8 (17:52):
When you're the guy, you know, when you're Jalen Hurts,
I know the way he thinks because we've talked about it.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
You know, he still beats.
Speaker 8 (17:58):
Himself up for this playing that play. It's like, dude,
you had like the best performance ever by a quarterback
in the history of the Super Bowl. You did just
line right. But the reality is, when you're that guy,
if you're really a competitor, you think you control stuff.
You don't want to acknowledge that somebody else or a
field or officials, because once you start doing that, you
start devaluing who you are and who we are.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Right now, we're not.
Speaker 8 (18:22):
Giving that to anybody we control the outcome. We made
enough mistakes and we would have fixed that stuff up.
We win that game regardless of what happens with the
field anything.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
So that was Jason Kelsey talking about it, man, and
you're talking to your brother who was on the winning team. Yeah,
it's kind of sense. That's a cool conversation to have,
like we're winning that game. Like hold on, bro.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Well, that that was with so that that wasn't on
his podcast.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
That was on his podcast.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Okay, yeah, Sports Take, which is another show.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
But they've okay, they've had those conversations on their podcast.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
I'm sure they have. I'm sure they have. And he's right,
I mean, he's he's he's spot on. So but that's
the that's the measure of an ultimate competitor too. You know.
It's just like you always feel like you could have
done more, especially in a losing effort. It's just that's
a hard one to live with. It's it's a tough
(19:19):
pill to swallow when you're an ultimate competitor and and
you lose, and you come up short and for some
strange reason, the other side was better than you. It's
it's humbling and in a lot of ways, it's it's
definitely a major motivator in a lot of ways as well.
(19:42):
It's just all about how you internalize things. And and
it sounds as though and and just from what we
can gather of what we we've known from Jalen Hurts
and things that he said when he's in the media
and he's doing his interviews, he's he's very calculated, uh,
very well thought out, very very well spoken, knows how
(20:05):
to articulate himself in a way where you know, he
he gets it, and he's just he's just one of
those players. For me, I liked him in college and
and and I you know, just the way he's handled
adverse situations in his life. It's I think I created
(20:29):
more of a fondness for who he is as a person,
more so than a lot of players who've had it,
you know, relatively, you know, I don't want to say
I never want to say easy, but just a pretty
pretty good clear path to where they're going from the
(20:50):
time they're considered to be you know, top shelf, top
shelf prospects, especially at the quarterbacks position. And it wasn't
like that for him, and up until what last year,
you know, there were a lot of questions swirling around
about him. You know, a coach loses his job because
(21:10):
he didn't even want to play Jalen Hurts for the
entirety of a game. Like it wasn't too long ago,
Jalen Hurts could have been in a position where he's
questioning himself. You could have considered him to be in
the same situation as a Tree Lance or Jordan Love.
I mean where I wouldn't say, you know, I wouldn't
compare Carson Wentz to to Aaron Rodgers, but it's certainly
(21:34):
comparable to the situation that took place and kind of
in San Francisco in the sense that you know you're
playing behind Jimmy g and you know it just didn't
for one reason or another, something just kept happening.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
I hope that history is kind to Jalen Hurts in
this regard. It's tough to get back to a super Bowl, Okay,
ask Carson Wentz.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Hey, bro, that's that's so That's where I was getting to, right,
Like I just wonder. I just wonder, and in the
accomplishments that they were able to have and what they
perceivably look like personnel wise, And I had this conversation
on Saturday and never you know, TJ and Plex were like,
(22:19):
oh no, I'm in, I'm in. Yeah, right, im in,
I'm in. I'm in. You gotta see like they haven't
given us. And I've said this on this show as well,
I don't think any team in the NFC has given
us enough of a sample size of consistency to just
say that they're the beast, like they're the ones, Like, sure,
(22:41):
we think that it's going to be Philly, but didn't
we think that about Tennessee at one point that Tennessee
was hitting in the right direction to go possibly win
a Super Bowl or contend for a Super Bowl. Look
where they're at right now. Look at Buffalo. There are
just major questions to me looming about what Buffalo is
(23:03):
going to look like and what they're going to be
this season. And for what it's worth, I need to
see Philadelphia be a dominant team again before I really
feel like I'm going to sign off on this is
a dominant team. They had a dominant year, you know,
so to me, I think it's healthy for Jalen Hurts
(23:25):
to fill some type of pens and some type of
sting from that Super Bowl because it's not going to
let him. It's not going to allow for him to
take his foot off of the gas. And you would
assume and hope that that quality that he has and
those conversations that he's having with his teammates, as you
can tell by you know what Kelsey had to say,
(23:47):
that the rest of the team is taking notice and
really taking their lead on having a chip on their
shoulder from not winning that game as well, and they
come back even better or they work that much harder
during the course of this offseason to be prepared for
this upcoming year. So yeah, but we still got to
see it.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Jonas, Yeah, and I think that just look if you
were to tell Carson Wentz back in twenty seventeen and
we know you missed the Super Bowl and you were injured,
but you were playing like an MVP. Don't worry, We'll
be back. No, not only were they not back, they
never got close.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Well, will not only be back, but you'll be the
reason why. And you'll be a right I got I
guess a statue like you.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Know, yeah, like oh yeah, like you're like you're.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Back, Like you're back up? Yeah, right.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
The tight end who threw a pass that you didn't
throw in the super Bowl, like the whole, the whole thing.
But the point is is that it's really hard to
get back to a super Bowl. And you can assume, oh,
but like super Bowl hangovers are real. It's why you
don't see teams get to a super Bowl and then
they're back there the next year. Look, Cincinnati got to
a conference championship game. They were close, still didn't get there.
And there's no guarantees that Joe Burrow is going to
(24:56):
get back to a super Bowl, just like there were
no guarantees Dan Marino was going to get back there
even though it was young in your career and you
felt like, at least he's on the right path. And
what I say, I mean, I hope history is kind
to Jalen Hurts. The odds are and this is just
a reality that he's not going to get back to
another super Bowl like that. That's the odds. That's why
(25:17):
you're a plus money. You know, when you go to bet,
you're always plus money to get to a super Bowl
because nobody's really ever a favorite, especially if you were
to just project throughout the course of their career and
to what Jason Kelsey said on the biggest stage against
Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts was the best player on the
(25:38):
field and it's not even close. And I wonder if
that's going to get lost in the conversation as we
moved down the line.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
But that doesn't mean that he was the best player,
but on that he was the best player at that time,
in that moment.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Yes, and that day. But like I think that when
we talk about how.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
We judge players for what do you ever ring you
have this, do you have a championship man?
Speaker 4 (26:02):
Sometimes some would say he wasn't the best player or
he would have won, and that the best player ended
up pulling it out even though he appeared to be
the best player, whether it be statistically, whether it be
big plays that he made. Some would say that when
it was neat at Patrick Mahomes showed why he is
the best player in the league and why he was
(26:23):
probably the best player on that day.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
I think Patrick Mahomes pulled it out because there was
whoever the ball last was going to win that game
like that, That's how I feel. I think that's where
that game was headed. And Jalen Hurts found himself in
a spot and look Brandon Graham's talked about the turf,
They've talked about Jonathan Gannon, the DC, They've talked about
all the other reasons. I think, to Jason Kelsey's point,
the reason they lost was because of Jalen Hurts. He
(26:48):
put on one of the great quarterback performances we've ever seen.
And I wonder if ten years from now, twelve fifteen
years from now, Jalen Hurts is retiring and he never
got back to another Super Bowl. Well, I hope people
remember that game and add a little bit of nuance
to it and a little bit of color to it,
because if you just go, well, whoever won, whoever lost,
(27:08):
you know, we look at you know, then we're just
doing the box score thing and not really looking back
at what an incredible performance that was.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
And I think sometimes players.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
You know, are dealt with and get labeled, Yeah, but
he never won the big one. Well, man, that ain't
his fault. Like Jalen Hurts did his part. He played
his ass off. Like the Patriots Super Bowl against Philly,
in which you know, people point to and say, well,
that was another super Bowl tom Brady lost. Tom Brady
threw for over five hundred yards in that game. The
Patriots lost that Super Bowl because their defense couldn't stop Philly,
(27:38):
Like they couldn't get a stop and Malcolm Butler was
standing on the sideline, and we've never really gotten a
true answer.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
You know what's so funny about what you're doing right now.
What's so funny is is that how conveniently people put
the Super Bowl on Jimmy Garoppolo, but you just took
it off of Jalen Hurts and and Tom Brady.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
I never put it on Jimmy Garoppolo's bowl.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
So many people put it on Garoppolo. It was the
defense that game.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
I totally agree with you, Like he was out playing
Mahomes for three and a half quarters.
Speaker 4 (28:11):
They had a two possession lead, Yes, they had a
ten point lead, and.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
They couldn't get a stop on was like third and eighteen,
fourth and eighteen whatever it was to that pass to
Tyreek Hill. Yeah it's Garoppolo. Well he didn't complete that pass.
That passed like like it was a shoot. But what
about that past that got them a ten point lead?
Right and in the fourth quarter of the game. It's
it's like people don't want to go back and actually
(28:38):
discuss what happened. In games, they just want to discuss
what happened after the game, and it's like, man, there's
there's more to that story than just Kansas City beat
San fran or Kansas City beat Philly. Like I don't
look at that and go, well, like Garoppolo, yes, did
he struggle.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Down the stretch. Of course, so did their defense.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Like, if we're going to be honest, it like Nick Bosa,
you know, if you would have had a better fourth quarter,
if they would have had a better fourth quarter, then
this isn't even a discussion.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
And we look at that Garoppolo differently, and.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
It's the same way with Jalen Hurts. Yep, you know
it's the same way. So I don't know, man, I've
I hope. I hope that we see a Jalen Hurts
in a Philadelphia Eagles team that is continuing to be competitive,
because I think that's good for football to have a
(29:32):
strong Philadelphia Eagles team and it'll be interesting to see
what they're able to do because again I have the
slightest idea outside of Philly, what teams are going to
step up and be the teams to beat. It's like,
what type of year is this going to be in
(29:53):
the NFC.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
It's going to be fun.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
I mean, I mean it has the potential. It's a
fifty to fifty ball. You throw this one up, it
could go either way. It could go great or it
could go horribly wrong.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Okay, So let me quickly before we go to Eddie
Garcia with an update. I'm gonna list off the teams
in order of who's favored to win the NFC, and
you tell me when to stop before. You're not buying
this team as a legitimate contender.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
Are you ready for this? There we go.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
We have any game show music here.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
We got a live studio band in attendance, ready to
go ahead and start sounding off.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
So here we go.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
Trumpets are out and we are off and running. All right,
So let's start. The Philadelphia Eagles are favored according to
our friends at DraftKings. You obviously consider them a contender
to win that conference?
Speaker 4 (30:39):
Again, correct?
Speaker 5 (30:40):
Right?
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Then we've got the Niners at plus four to twenty
five contender, yes, the Dallas Cowboys at plus six hundred, yes,
the Detroit Lions at plus one thousand, ten to one, No,
And then we get Seattle, New Orleans, Minnesota, and then yes.
(31:03):
So basically it comes down to the Eagles, the forty
nine Ers, and the Cowboys in your mind.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
And I'm not sold on that. I know, that's the thing.
I'm not sold on that either, right, but because of
default process of elimination, those are the teams I'm not
sold on. San fran with their quarterback situation, I'm not
sold on it. You should know who your quarterback is
(31:29):
going to be. This is this is an ongoing conversation
and we're in we're in June, the end of June.
That just doesn't seem right to me. Yeah, New Orleans,
I don't We don't know what New Orleans is going
to be. They totally fell on their faces this past year.
I mean, Cam Jordan seems excited about them again, but
(31:49):
and they do have reasons to be excited, but there's
just a major question mark over top of them.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Yeah, it's it's look, I agree, I think it's wide open.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
But it's open. Man.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
I can say without any shadow of a doubt, the
Arizona Cardinals will not be in an NFC title game.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Not to be well, what if they ended up being
good some way, somehow, for some strange reason, they ended
up being good, Like you just don't know. That's it's
just a fifty to fifty ball. You don't know.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
Yeah, it feels like it's less than a fifty to
fifty ball for Arizona.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
You probably are right, But considering everything that's going on,
I don't, I don't. I don't know that it's it's
fair to count any team out in the NFC.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Yeah, well, I mean I'm looking here and it says
just doing the calculator, if you bet five dollars on
the Cardinals to win the NFC and they do, you
want a Space Shuttle.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
So so that's the payout all.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
What if they're like, what if the Rams bounce back?
You know, you just in the NFC. I just don't
feel like there's any way of really knowing because there's
not an established higher archy of dominant with the team
or teams im plural right now in the NFC side
(33:05):
of the bracket. I just don't see it.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
It makes it fun.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
It's two pros and a cup of Joe here Fox
Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Jonas and NOx with you. We're
gonna have another edition of In case you missed it
coming up here shortly. But for all the latest from
around the World of Sports.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
He's a contender. He's Edmund Garcia. All right, thank you, Jonas.
Speaker 9 (33:21):
We'll get you up dated on some baseball games of note,
including a couple of Battle of Division leaders. We had
the Diamondbacks on top of the NL West beating the Rays,
the top team in the AL East and in the
American League. Eight four was the final, Zach Allen getting
the win for Arizona, his tenth of the season. Also
Battle of Division leaders in Atlanta with the Braves top
of the Twins sixty two. That's the NL East leaders
(33:41):
over the AL Central leaders. Atlanta best record in the
National League at fifty two and twenty seven. They got
a couple of homers from Ronald Lacuna Junior in the win.
In the loss for Minnesota that drops them below five
hundred on the year at forty and forty one. In
Their lead in the AL Central is down to just
a half game on Cleveland. Because the Guardians knocked off
the Royals two. Cleveland gets to win without their manager,
(34:01):
Terry Francona didn't manage the game and went to the
hospital where he's staying overnight for observation after feeling ill.
The Reds down the Orioles three to one. Cincinnati rookie
starter Andrew Abbotts now four and oh. He went six innings,
allowed one run on two hits, and the Brewers lose
to the match seven to two, so Cincinnati reclaims first
place in the NL Central. Their half game up on Milwaukee,
Al West leading Rangers top the Tigers eight to three.
(34:22):
The Angels down the White Sox four to two. Show
Hey Otani big game for the a Los hit a
couple of homers and the leads the major leagues with
twenty eight and also got the win on the mound.
He went six in a third innings, allowed one run,
ten strikeouts for his seventh win of the season. Dodgers
shout out the Rockies five to nothing. Clayton Kershaw getting
his tenth win for LA, took a no hitter into
the sixth inning. Finished with six innings, pitch, no runs,
(34:44):
one hit, JD. Martinez couple of home runs for LA.
Sad story from football. Former University of Arkansas and NFL
quarterback Ryan Mallett has died at the age of thirty
five an apparent drowning in Florida. He spent six seasons
in the NFL with the Patriots, Texans and Ravens, and
was most recently a high school football coach in Arkansas.
Go back to LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knoxthtirack dot Com,

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Who's our executive producer for today. Brandon, Thank you guys
very much. All right, so Jonas and LeVar.
Speaker 5 (37:59):
Gviously, we've been following the story about Zion Williamson's unhinged
ex girlfriend. Yeah tattoo face, Well, she's taking it to
another level. She released a song directed at Zion Williamson. Sam,
go ahead and play a little.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Bit of that right now.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
I gave it. I can't.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
That's your stubby voice.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
He turned her adult. First of all, you couldn't give
it all to Zion. You and we've seen you on
video giving it all to somebody else a few different times.
That's that's one thing. Let's just start there. This holier
than Thal with your love song and and and all that.
But God, lee more and more every day if you
(39:13):
can have a film star, an adult film star, by
the way, turned out to this this degree.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Yep, I mean it makes me respect him more.
Speaker 4 (39:27):
I mean I told I became more of a fan.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
I did too.
Speaker 10 (39:30):
I mean his I mean he's not married, so so
it just sounds like his uh, his his drive down
the paint to flush it, you know, flush.
Speaker 4 (39:43):
The ball home. Is really he's good. Yeah, he's good
at what he does. Apparently.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
I also think that he killed her with kindness, because
if when she released some of those pictures of their
d ms back and forth, after she dropped the bombshell
that he's you know, we've been hooking up and he's
got this baby mama now and all this other he
was so nice to her and the messages. It wasn't
like he was a jerk. It wasn't like he was
(40:11):
like that, I'll leave me alone. You're trash, you know,
I'll find somebody. Like he was really kind, like why
are you being like this?
Speaker 4 (40:17):
Do we know the age difference here because he's he's
still like kind of like a kid, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
Yeah, Zion is let me get the you know, just
by the way, first Zion that came up was Zion
National Park.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
And I don't know what the difference is at this point.
Speaker 4 (40:32):
Yeah, you're right, Rhinos running free.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Zion is she is thirty one?
Speaker 4 (40:41):
There you go? Oh man, Yeah, she's tripping. I mean
if she don't take her old ass somewhere and start
over again.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Let me tell you something. This ought to put it
in perspective. At her grad night when she when she
got done with high school, Zion was nine years old.
Little did she know a few years later she got
taken to batting practice and apparently apparently.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
Not batting practice, she was in the home run dirty Yeah,
and she didn't know it. She did not even know it.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Yeah it is by what's worse this song or the
fact that she got his name tattooed on her face.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
I think what's worse is all of it connected to
the fact that she's an adult film star, Like, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
This is goin to hurt her career a little bit.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
No, her street cred is on fire right now, and
not in a good way.
