We've got a lot to get to today. Obviously, we're

Speaker 4 (01:08):
College football Playoff, a lot of big games, a few
big games for the NFL coming up here.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Uh, We're gonna get to all that.

But how y'all feeling today?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
How's everything going?
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Man?
Speaker 5 (01:46):
You know, I feel good, LeVar. It's been, uh the
weather out here. We've been having a lot of rain,
the last too much rain, last four days. We probably
got one more day of it and then that should
be it. But other than that, I feel good. I
don't like cold weather.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I don't like the rain, but the whole we gotta
deal with it.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Maybe you hear a stretch laughing you freezing where you
out of Probably what we say is man, brick, sun brick,
cold out here, man, slow everywhere.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
We might be above twenty today, But yeah, man, it's
it's normal, you know, weather this time of the year,
especially man here on the East coast chain. Where it's
new year, twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Man.
Speaker 6 (02:31):
So nevertheless, man, it's a beautiful Saturday, so that's all
you can just be happy about it.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
It's a beautiful day.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Yeah, I mean, be happy about what you got, you
know what I mean. We did make it to another year.
That's a wonderful thing. We're now in twenty twenty six, fellas.
The college football Playoff is.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Underway, like for real, for real underway.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
And I gotta say, this is why the college football
Playoff is so dope, because back in our day, they
would have just crowned the team you're you know, our
last year they had a championship game air quotes, but
for the most part, they would just crown, you know,
a champ off of what the ap pole was and whatever,
(03:17):
and here's your national champ this, that and the other.
But now you gotta play. You gotta play to get there.
And well, there were teams out there that they they
weren't ready for the work that was coming their way.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
One of the games, in particular, I thought it would
be a.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Competitive game for Indiana and Alabama and the Rose Bowl.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
It was not.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
And Kirksei Nettie is continuing to show whatever it is
the bravado that he brings to the table. I don't
know how to honestly characterize it. It's it's it's it's
Nick Saban, Like you played for saban uh plex, so
you may have better perspective on it. But do got Indiana?
(04:05):
They on one right now, and they put one on Alabama.
What would y'alls take on the Alabama Indiana game? And
does this look like the clear favorite to win it?
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Now? Man?
Speaker 5 (04:17):
For me, I love the state of college football. And
I say that because for years and years and years
and years, it was the who's who of college football.
It was the Alabama's, it was the Georgia's, it was
the LSU's, Ohio States, the Michigan's, And you probably can
(04:38):
throw another team in there, maybe Florida.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
But to see.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
Indiana quite possibly be the best team to see an
Oregon quite possibly be the best team Miami.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
You know, Miami was good before.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
I got the college football or I got to college
football when I was in college with Miami, I wouldn't
say it has consistently been a good program, but that
they've had some down years. But the way Miami is
playing like they haven't been like in Alabama where consistently
they're gonna win, but when they l they win big,
and so I just like, it's not the expected teams.
(05:26):
And I was me personally, I wanted Alabama to win.
I was rooting for Alabama. I was so the waighted.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
It's probably because I know quite a few kids on
a roster. You know, they have quite a few Southern
California kids, and I know the kids personally very well,
and that's probably the biggest reason. But to see what
I mean, bro, Indiana looked unbeatable.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Man.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
They couldn't run the ball. They ran the ball, and
will and Mendoza, he didn't even have to throw the
ball much.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
They playing cover zero.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
They're trying to stop the run, and they forced Alabama
into playing cover zero.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
And every time they played.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Cover zero, stepped in there, they got them.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
And so for me, Indiana nil, to me has allowed
these teams that were competitive with the powerhouses to be competitive.
And that's why I love it, because we all gonna
pay our roster in Indiana. How many four star recruits
they have on their team? I believe none, zero. I
(06:29):
believe none, And so a Signetti he a Kaki dude,
he kaki.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
People call it kaki.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
He Kaki is here, but you can be Kaki when
you win in the way he went in with what
he has because Hekki. I don't care nobody that dude said.
I win everywhere I go, look me up.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Google me.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Like about the Alabama game, he said, you would know
better about the mystique Alabama.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
My guys know what they see on the film.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
They basically he.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
Straight to them, ain't nothing and so yeah, man, I
like the Texas tech they wouldn't normally be in. Nil
has even the plan field and I love him.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:12):
Man, it's taking everything away from the game, man, I
said a couple of weeks ago. Man, I know you
guys heard me say this. I said that. Listen. I
want to see what Indiana's capable of because they're a
very dangerous team, and this Kurt Segna and his staff, man,
they are very dangerous. I you're going to give them
an extra week to game playing against you. Man, the
game plan that he drew up against Alabama, man offensively
(07:35):
and defensively. I can see some of the some of
the schemes that he's running that will be nick saving this.
He's bringing the bridge from the from the strong side,
but it's actually com up from the weak side. The
blitz is never coming where you think it's coming from.
He's bringing nickel corners off of the slot from the
short side of the field. So the quarterback doesn't have
(07:57):
a lot of time to make a decisions. And it's
just seems that to me, man him coaching this football
team and say, look, if you don't want to be here,
Indiana by but everybody has bought into the coacher and
what they're doing. If you look at Alabama, man, I
think there's two stats in this football game. Man, that
was really stuck out to me. We're talking about twenty
(08:21):
three yards rushing over as a team, Ty Simpson, your
quarterback was a leading Russia with seventeen yards. And if
you're Alabama, I think Alabama and Dobo they gave up
in the third quarter. They dropped football all the way
down the field sixty five yards. They get the fourth down,
the score is twenty four to zero with five minutes
(08:43):
up in the game, and they kicked the field goal knowing.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
That you need to touch down.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
And he kicked the field goal because I think in
the back of his mind he said, man, let me
go ahead and put some points on the scoreboard just
in case we don't score a touchdown. And I said
to myself right then that Alabama had basically just threw
on the tower and they was beat man. But I'm
talking about man, the way that they played football over there.
(09:10):
I mean, it's just everybody just does their job, the
details of everything that they do. They can run the football,
Alabama couldn't else. Defensively. Indiana's ranking what top five in
every defensive every defensive category. So Alabama got beat man.
(09:30):
It wasn't even about the game. It was about how
they got beat You can't remember an Alabama football team
getting beat like this and anywhere, but especially not on
this stage at the Rolls Bowl.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
There's a bad look for him and the team.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
And I just said to myself, I was like I
thought it was going to be I thought Indiana was
gonna win the game, but not in this fashion. To
see Alabama go out the way that they did, and
everybody saying that Alabama didn't deserve to be in the
because they were a three lost team.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
They had nothing to do with it.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
I think if anybody runs into India out of the
way that they're playing football right now. It could be
the same result that they had against Alabama last week,
against anybody.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
All right, well, let's talk about it. Then Oregon beat
the bark off of Texas Tech. And I ain't gonna
say Old Miss had the toughest, the toughest matchup, I
would say outside of I mean more of a fair matchup.
Well maybe not even fair because you don't have your
head coach, but they had the tallest task in terms of,
(10:34):
you know, the seed coming in to win. And then
you have against Georgia by the way, they knocked Georgia off,
and then you had Miami, as you mentioned earlier, TJ.
And I kind of feel like that game was maybe
I don't know, maybe it's a little closer than or
maybe not as close as what I want to say,
(10:55):
as the score would indicate twenty four to fourteen was
the final.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
But it looked like Miami was just better. They were
hitting hard.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
You know, It's like they knocked the life out of
out of Ohio State. Ohio State looked pedestrian to me.
It didn't look like the Ohio state that dominates the
Big Ten. It looked like a team that didn't know
what they had going on. So with that being said,
like the rest of it, it's like, Okay, Ohio State
should have been the favorite, they end up losing, They're gone.
(11:27):
Oregon did what they were supposed to do, but coming
into the game, they were a higher you know, they
weren't ranked as hig.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
As Texas Tech.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
But I think that was the most impressive outside of Indiana.
That was the most impressive showing. And Dan Lanning is
much like a Kurt Signetti. He's one of them type coaches,
like he just don't care. He got it out on
care meter and he carries it on high all the time.
Looking at the teams right now, and I know we
up on a break. But looking at the teams where
(11:54):
we're at right now, who's left who uc being the
favorite to win this thing?
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Wow, that's a great question.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Because both of my favorites are out.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
I had Ohio State losing to Georgia, so both my
teams are out, so I you know, it is what
it is. We got you Am versus Ole miss that's
gonna be a nice throttle and Oregon versus Indiana.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
It's the rematch.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
So it's kind of like much like last year when
Oregon took on Ohio.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
State, beat Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
Ohio State gets them in the playoffs and ends up
winning it all.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
But these are two very, very.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
Marquee matchups, and I think that they're gonna be fun
games to watch. Who y'all, who y'all got advance and
who you think is gonna win?
Speaker 5 (12:41):
When you when you when you look at it levard Miami,
when you have those type of bookends on the defensive line,
they they made Ohio State look like their offensive line
were below average.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Shots out to Jason Taylor too, by the way, Yeah,
I mean he's doing a hell of a job. It
was quiet now people talking about it, but it was
quiet for a little bit.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
Hey man, them dudes are getting after the quarterback and
they don't have to blitz and so just off that
literally Miami pressure Julian saying, and they kept a pressure
off Connor.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
And so for me, that that's easy. Miami should win
that game.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
Old Miss really wants to throw the ball and they
do want to run it with Keiwan Lacy. But I
just feel like the way Miami is playing down the
heater right now, they should win this game in.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Front is crazy too.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Bruh.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Yeah, that Oami's offensive front crazy.
Speaker 5 (13:44):
Now working Indiana. That that to me is a quaint flip. Obviously,
played early in the season, it was a close game.
I believe Indiana won by ten, but it was a
really really close game. Both teams will make adjustments.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
They went into ug and beat by the way consideration.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
I believe it's it's hard to be the really good
team twice in one season. I do it's hard. It's hard,
especially with a good coaching staff. If they can make
adjustments Atvan Stewart will probably come back from Oregon. I
don't even know if they need him, but he is
a dynamic playmaker. So I'll take Miami in the University
(14:24):
of Oregon and play in the National Championship. Well just hey,
this going back to what you said. Defensively, you talking
about Ruby Bain junior man. These book kends. But I
said the other way around. I'm looking at this Miami
defensive saying to myself, I would rather play against a
gunner startling than a turn of dad champlains.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
I said this a couple of weeks ago. I said,
how old missus dangerous they got? Nobody knows how good
this kid is. You know what, and he's the backup.
Austin Simmons get ready jumping to the Party's like, man,
I'm not gonna play here anytime soon. But what I'm getting,
what I'm trying to say is defensively, you have the
these great rush ends for Miami, but now you're facing
(15:05):
a mobile quarterback and twenty their channelers. Now those book
ends aren't getting up the field getting pressure. So now
you're not trying to get to the quarterback. You're trying
to contain and keep this young man in the pocket.
And so you don't want him running around making plays
because you know what that does to the defense, tires
them out. Now they don't have that same rush they
(15:29):
don't want they're not turning the corner with the same
speed trying to get to the quarterback because now this
scheme has changed all of because you have seen this
man run across the.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Field back and forth and make plays with his legs.
Speaker 6 (15:45):
So defensively, you're gonna have to change up something up
front because Miami wants to get to the quarterback and
play man to man defense. I don't think they're gonna
be able to do that against this old miss Office.
Maybe because of the fact that this young man can
get out of the pocket and make plays with his legs.
So I'm gonna take Old Miss to get to the
(16:07):
National championship, getting just because of that factor, only because
if they can't get to the quarterback, we don't know.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Who these guys are in the back end.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
And if these guys are gonna we're gonna play man
and man coverage is one. So I think they got
a good enough running game with Lacy that they can,
you know, control the game, control the clock. But I
think at the end of the day, offensively, Old Miss
has a better offense than what than what the Miami
Hurricanes do.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
So I'm gonna take Old Miss.
Speaker 6 (16:33):
And going back to that Week seven matchup when the
Indiana went into Oregon and beat them by ten points. TJ, you' right,
it's hard to beat somebody two times in a row.
Speaker 7 (16:44):
But if I'm putting both of these coaches on a scale,
and you gonna ask me, what's one of these coaches
between Landlan and Signetti make the better adjustments, who are
you gonna.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Who you're gonna pick? I'm going with sicking that in
his staff because.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
The debate, it is a debate based off of what
I've been seeing from this Indiana coach football team and
the details of everything that they do.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Man's they rock sold all the way across the board.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
I don't see a pro team. Yeah, this moves like
a pro team.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 6 (17:23):
I haven't seen any weaknesses on this team defensively, CORNERM
linebacker up front.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
And R D lineman is out.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yes he got hurt. Given a high five.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
High five your last day. So I'm going with Indiana.
I just think that too much when it comes down
to making the right plays at the right time. These
kids are well taught, They know where they need to be,
they know what they need to do. Everybody does their
job to the best of their ability. It doesn't seem
like nobody on this team has an ego. All these
(17:56):
guys do is care about winning. So at the end
of the day, I'm going miss and Indiana playing for
the national championship.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Whole miss in Indiana. I'll say this. The quarterback for
Oregon is he's he's you know, it's a special dude. Man,
he might be you know, outside of Mendoza. Uh, these
are the two in my estimation. I mean, I don't know,
maybe the QB for Miami. Maybe I won't say that,
(18:25):
I won't throw that out there, but I was.
Speaker 6 (18:27):
Nobody talking about chapelis what he's been able to do?
Speaker 2 (18:30):
What about this guy?
Speaker 6 (18:33):
He won a national championship at Farris State at a
defension to college. Yes, yes, why is he not one
of the top quarterbacks in his top four and.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
That's why he is a baller, But that would be why.
I just I just think that looking at these two matchups,
and I know we got break, we won't break, But
I feel like have you you know, when you've seen
teams win it, you're like, ad, that's a team of destiny,
right like I was one of them years it's a
(19:03):
team of destiny. Name one of these four teams that
doesn't appear to be a team of destiny season for them.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
If you look at the Miami.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
The Hurricanes, the fact that they were able to win
in the fashion that they did against Ohio State says
to me that it's stamped.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
It's like a team of destiny.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Ole miss being in the matchup that they're in and
getting out of the game against Georgia the way that
they did, losing their head coach. People all but wrote
them off. If Lane Kiffin isn't there, maybe they're not
going to be the same that a die coaching will
come into play. They seem like they stamped the team
of destiny. You know, check that box off Oregon. They
(19:43):
weren't able to get it done last year. And look,
I'm a Penn Stater, so it ain't a given that
you make it back. Notre Dame is the team that
beat us didn't get into the playoffs, which I.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Know I want to touch on that at some point.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
By the way, Notre Dame doesn't make it back in
neither does Penn State.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
But Oregon did. And Oregon had.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
That heartbreaker against Ohio State, and it's like, okay, they
have been on a tear. I think they have been
outside of Indiana, the most dominant team in the playoff
and then you got Iu Bruh. Like it is the
story of Kurt Signetti. That man said in his interview
at the end.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
What is this?
Speaker 4 (20:28):
He said, it's a movie. He said, Indiana Football, It's
a movie.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
They asked that.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Man, who's gonna play the character of him? He said,
I don't know, but it'd be a whole bunch of characters.
You gotta pull together because we got a whole bunch
of them on this team. He talks sounds like and
carries himself like, this is a team of destiny. It
makes these matchups amazing. Landing versus Signetti is crazy. That's
(20:56):
a crazy matchup to me, and obviously Christovall, who was
an Oregon coach having his opportunity to to be one
game away from the Natty. I think the ad has
to go to Indiana. I think the edge has to
go to Indiana for the simple fact that it's not
a home game, it's a it's an away game, it's
a neutral site. I think it has to go to
(21:17):
Indiana as the advantage, and just the offensive front and
the defensive front of Miami. While this Old Miss team
is so quick and so fast, and and they move
the ball around, and they do have a multifaceted quarterback.
It makes this to be out to be probably the
more I don't know, I don't maybe it's a more
(21:39):
competitive game, but well, I don't know. I'm excited to
see him play, but I think I get the clear
advantage to to Miami in this game. So we'll see
how it all plays out. Well, we'll stay tuned on that.
But uh yeah, you know, we gotta take a break.
And when we when we get back from the break, yeah,
we're gonna bring up Notre Dame and and my compadre
(22:02):
on Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. They had
a little exchange on on social media. You want to
hear about it, make sure you stay tuned. And this
is up on games T J. Hitchman's Out of as
Plexico Burst. I'm var Arrington. We'll be right back. Hey guys.
A hotly debated topic in the Hot Sauce world is
who's this year's MVP. And if you know about Hot Sauce,
(22:24):
then you know I'm not talking about players. I'm talking
about poores.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
That's right. The most valuable poor. I know who mine is.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
My most valuable poor is the original Louisia and the
Hot Sauce.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
And here's why it's my MVP.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
This sauce has shown me what it's really made of,
three hard hitting ingredients peppers, vinegar, and salt, super dope,
super fine and you know what, it makes the perfect
balance of heat and flavor. And now that's MVP material.
What makes my most valuable poor different from any.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Old poor is in the name, the value.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Other hot sauces are so second stream name right, But
the original Louisiana Hot Sauce name, well, that makes game
day come to life.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
It'll dress up your favorite eats with.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Ease drizzled on nachos, Burger's, pizzas, gumbo, you name it.
The taste is going to score. You're gonna enjoy it.
And finally, all you got to do is just take
a look at the record. For almost one hundred years
they've been bawling out. Flavor is undefeated. A tasty Louisiana
legacy like that deserves the most Valuable poor title. That's
(23:36):
why the original Louisiana Hot Sauce is not just my.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
MVP, it's my VP.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
And you know what I mean, is good that Louisiana
hot sauce I'm talking about.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Make sure you balue some.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
We will continue this conversation, well not continue, We'll get
a conversation going on these NFL games. Panthers at the Bucks,
that's a big one for the division, Seahawks at the
forty nine Ers, that's a big one for the division
and number one seed. So we'll get to those in
a few moments, but we got to touch on this
Notre Dame USC ongoing saga. There was a segment on
(25:48):
two pros and a Cup of Joe. Obviously, Brady Quinn,
a former quarterback great at Notre Dame, had some very
very poignant things to say about Lincoln Riley basically coming
out or the ad somebody came out, wasn't the a
d Maybe it was the ad that came out and
(26:09):
had some interesting things to say, basically insinuating that it
wasn't on USC that the rivalry game of historical value
and weight was going away. It was because Notre Dame
did want to schedule them, and so that turned into
Brady came on. He gave all his reasons as to
(26:31):
why that's bs and it doesn't make sense. And you know,
if USC wanted to make the game work, make it
work the way that it's been made to work throughout
the course of history. And TJ, you had some comments
on it on they posted it on social You could
go to King of the Mammals or you could go
to Fox Sports Radio as well to see the post.
(26:55):
But you had some comments and it turned into a
like an all out everybody popping. Everybody looked like an
anchor man scene on social media. I mean, give me,
give me your give me your thoughts on it, because
I heard Q's thoughts on it on two Pros. But
I said it was up on game versus two pros.
(27:16):
So I had, as you said, I have no dog
in the fight because both of y'all my boys.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
But but you had some.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Things to say, like it wasn't so clear cut to
say that USC it was placed in the blame incorrectly
at the feet of Notre Dame.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Look, and you have no dog in a fight. I
don't either. I didn't go to Notre Dame. I didn't see.
All I'm saying is this, this is what I felt.
One Notre Dame is in a power position in college football.
It's really in the power position starting next year when
it comes to getting into the playoffs. And so when
(27:56):
you are in the position of power, do you not
have a explain?
Speaker 4 (28:01):
Do not explain that a little bit further? How are
they are in a power position?
Speaker 3 (28:05):
All Notre Dame.
Speaker 5 (28:08):
Has to do is finish in the top twelve and
they're automatically in a college football playoff.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
That's why you got to have a top twelve strength
of schedule to be No, you don't know, you don't,
you don't know, you don't.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Okay, let's talk about it.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
If Notre Dame is in the top twelve next season,
they are in a college football playoff. When you look
at Notre Dame schedule for next season, I don't everybody
knows that the schedule was done years out. Everybody knows it.
But did it matter? It was done years out when
the USC was on the schedule for next year. Now
they're no longer on the schedule, So does it really matter.
(28:40):
If you want to get out of a game, you
can get out of a game. If you want an
adding game, you not a game, because that's just what happened.
And so if you're if you're Notre Dame. Why would
you risk. They've beaten SC, I believe three times in
a row. So it's not as if SC is this
powerhouse that they're afraid to play, But why take a risk?
Why would you take that risk? The best team that
(29:04):
the University of not the daint plays next year is
gonna be Miami. Who's gonna be Miami's quarterback Ruban bang junior.
Who are they gonna That's that's if you look at
their schedule right now, and there may be some Indianas
that come out of nowhere, who do they play? That's
the best two teams they played this year. They lost
two Texas and them in Miami. Those are the best
two teams they played this year. They lost both of
(29:25):
them early, and they lost both of them. And so
when I read and I look at it, as he says, Okay,
things have changed. We're not in a Pac twelve anymore,
a conference which USC and Oregon were pretty much the
best teams, give or take University of Washington here and there.
They moved to the Big Ten, much better conference, better competition.
(29:49):
We want to play this game early in the season.
We play a stretch during our conference that's a tough schedule.
Let's schedule it for the beginning of the season, like
the majority of teams. Do you schedule your non conference
games early in the season? Urdame was like, Nah, when
you're in a position of power, you can dictate the terms.
If Notre Dame really wanted the game, they had played
(30:10):
it very simple.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
If you really want.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
To know, Yes, when you're in a position, the people
that are in a position of power, do they not
have more control?
Speaker 4 (30:18):
I don't, I don't. I don't buy that. I don't
think that us at the game.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
LeVar, the people that are in position of power, do
you have what goes on?
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Or you disagree with that? When you are in a
position of power, who makes the decisions?
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Oh, you can dictate the exactly you dictate. I agree
with the terms.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
I don't think Plexico, no, no, Plexico has a dog
in a fight. His son is a Notre Dame fighting
Irish me and levard don't people.
Speaker 6 (30:43):
They're just talking about the matchup. I don't get I
don't give who they play.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
You do have a child on the team, sir, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
I don't. Can't they play USC or not? I mean,
and they're probably going to be you see. Yeah, but
but but.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
It's not like this is a you see from the
early two thousands.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
I mean, what are we talking about you?
Speaker 4 (31:03):
I mean we would say you is probably a better
team right now than than us.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
He is.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
I'll say this, moving forward, reschedule, believe is going to
be a better football team next year than they've been
in the last five years.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
I'll say that.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
I believe their defense coordinator, you know, former Penn State
or we just took him and brought him.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
On back home.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
So I don't know how good their defense will be,
thank you. Uh, but I still say, you know, you
guys can argue the points of the details of it,
and I'm gonna let you have it in a second
plex and then we got to get to Ilo. But
I will say this, it just seems as though USC
(31:45):
is fight more so Lincoln Rally is fighting to save
his job and stay filed with a big ass contract
that they don't want to buy out.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
So you do away with this game.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
By doing away with this game, you give yourself an
opportunity with the fruiting class that you're bringing in to
possibly get out the Gates, have a really good season,
potentially be in the mix of it in the big
ten and have the opportunity to make it into the
College Football Playoff. That's what it says to me, And
it was a ducking of Notre Dame and scheduling because
(32:17):
they want to have a better opportunity of getting out
the gate off to a good start and having the
opportunity to try to run the table or have that
built up cushion where they can lose one to two
games within the Big Ten and still be up for
an opportunity to go to the college For.
Speaker 5 (32:34):
Both teams have a good season and they can men
to College Football Playoff.
Speaker 6 (32:37):
Oh I hope I agree with Leval one hundred percent
on what he is saying, because I'm looking at just
like you said, TJ USC is no longer in the
pet Pack ten Pac twelve, They're in the Big Ten,
and looking at their schedule, I would take Notre Dame
off my twenty six schedule two because you guess what,
(33:00):
you go to Indiana, you go to Penn State, you
play Ohio State, Oregon, and Washington exactly.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
So that's three losses right there. That's easy, easily, three
loss easy.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
So now they finished at nine and four last year.
Speaker 6 (33:14):
I'm looking at this schedule I don't believe that they're
going to be better than they were this year playing
playing these big ten teams.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
They just might.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
And now you want to add any know to day?
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Hey, do you want to talk about Notre Dame schedule?
Who they play? Have you have you looked at their schedule?
Schedule they play? Look at their schedule and tell me
they that's going to be in the day.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
They play Marina Dale Ray.
Speaker 6 (33:39):
They played Marinadale Ray High School. Hey, listen, if you listen,
if you'll know the dame, so now that you're not.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Playing, you have to reposition yourself on.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
This get to it. No, I'm telling about so.
Speaker 6 (33:55):
So if you'll know the dame and you want to
not if you're you're not going to play USC, do
you know what you do? Do you add Indiana to
the schedule? You're already playing per Due. Why not make
it an in state rivalry?
Speaker 4 (34:08):
I'm that would carry They beat them in a lot
of weight last year.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
That would carry a lot of weight.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
If you Notre Dame an in state rival game, you
no longer play in USC.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Put Indiana on the schedule.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
See if they want to play Notre Dame loses early,
that's That's what I would say. Under Marcus Freeman, Notre
Dame loses early, they always finish out strong.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Like I said, I don't have a dog early to lose.
I know that this year.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Next year they're not playing anybody.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
And with that being said, that could be a point
of you look at and you you reference back if
they do breeze through the regular season and make it
into the playoffs, if they go out early, if they
don't make it all the way to the championship round,
You're gonna look at their strength of schedule and you
might judge their their strength of schedule moving forward, you
(34:58):
know what I mean? That could what comes out of
this potentially, and it could in a way and somehow
backfire against Notre Dame taking a schedule that could lead
to them being undefeated coming out of the regular season
going into the college football playoff. But we'll see how
it all plays out. Let's get a trending from mister
Isaac Flowing Krawn.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
What you got, sir? What do you know?
Speaker 2 (35:19):
LeVar?
Speaker 9 (35:20):
Our top story in sports right.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Now is Notre Dame.
Speaker 9 (35:24):
But it's not Notre Dame football. It's Notre Dame basketball,
Notre Dame basketball, head coach Micah Shrewsbury issued a staym
in a short time ago, apologizing for attempting to confront
an official after a controversial loss last night at cal.
Video of Shrewsbury going after the official has gone viral
(35:44):
since then.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
To say the least Shorty slam did excuse me, they
should have went after him in body slammed.
Speaker 9 (35:51):
So I take it you disagreed with the call.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Yeah, I disagree with the call, and I disagree with him.
Apolog Now I'm choking. Go ahead.
Speaker 9 (35:57):
You disagreed with a continuation on that three pointer? There
was a four hundred point Yeah, yeah, disagree with it
as well. Anyway, In the statement, truth very said, quote,
my actions were inappropriate and not symbolic of the leader
I strive to be and what Notre Dame expects of
its coaches and educators. I will learn from this lack
of judgments and be better in the future. My actions
(36:20):
were unacceptable unquote. Week eighteen of the NFL season kicks
off at four thirty Eastern with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
playing host of the Carolina Panthers. If Carolina wins, it
clinches the NFC South. It also clinches with a tie.
Tampa Bay can clench the NFC South with a win
and of Falcons loss or tie tomorrow against the New
Orleans Saints. Then tonight at eight eastern, the Seattle Seahawks
(36:43):
visit the San Francisco forty nine Ers. Forty nine Ers win,
they clinched the one seed in the NFC. If the
Seahawks win or tie, they clinched the one seed in
the NFC. Finally, Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle cole Van Lannon's
agreed to a three year, fifty one miss dollar extension.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Guys, appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (37:03):
Eye Lo.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
We're gonna take a quick break on the other side
of the break, We're gonna touch on real quick.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Yeah, yep, that was a terrible call.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
It was a terrible call.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
That should not have been a call on allder Day
and that referee should never ref the game again.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
But I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
There you go. That's TJ.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Huchmanzade's Plexiko Burgs, I'm LaVar aaronton take a quick break
and we're going to talk some NFL on the other
side of It's up on Game Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (37:27):

couple of seconds here, couple of minutes. But let's talk
about these games. We got San Fran uh playing against
Seattle for the division. We got the Panthers playing against
(38:09):
the Bucks for the division. How y'all feel about these games?
Speaker 2 (38:13):
Man?
Speaker 4 (38:14):
And I do believe you win it, you get in, right,
Like I believe Seattle and San Fran will both make
it in. I believe they're fighting for the one or
Seattle fight for the one seed. But if the Buccaneers lose,
they're out, correct Like if if if they don't win
the division, they're not going in as a wild card?
Speaker 3 (38:33):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (38:33):
Is that right? Oh? Yeah, yeah, you are correct.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
And the same with the Panthers as well, if they
win their in. But if they lose, they they going home.
So how you got set?
Speaker 10 (38:46):
The Panthers can lose today, and I believe if the
Falcons win tomorrow, it's a three way tie and the
Panthers would then win the division.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
So yeah, the Bucks to chance.
Speaker 10 (38:58):
Yeah, the Bucks can win today and they still have
to wait till tomorrow to see what happens with the
Falcons in the Saints.
Speaker 4 (39:04):
Okay, so if the Bucks win, the Falcons can still
win the division.
Speaker 10 (39:08):
No, the Buccaneers win today, they need they need the
Saints to win tomorrow to win the division. If the
Panthers win today, they win the division outright. But the
Panthers can lose. The Panthers can lose today, and the.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
Bucks win today and the Saints win tomorrow, what happened.
Speaker 10 (39:26):
The Panthers will win the division.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
I believe the Panthers win. Okay, how y'all feel about this?
Speaker 6 (39:30):
Yeah, just tell the business man you would like to
think that the Carolina Panthers would go into Tampa Bay
and win this game. They are eight and nine, they
haven't had a winning seedings in ten years, since twenty
and fifteen. I think you're rooting for Bryce shown to
win this game. But just these divisional games can go
either way. So with that being said, I'm going with
Tampa Bay and I'm looking at this, I'm looking at
(39:53):
the San Franusco forty nine a game, man, And you
know I'm not a wide receiver. I'm not a defensive
back a wide receiver. But I you got to back
up off of the things that I said about Kyle
Shanahan and his team. Man, they are I said that
the window had closed. If they lose tomorrow, the window
is closed. But right now, man, you got to say
(40:15):
it's his best coaching job.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
Man, I'm serious. You gotta say it's best coaching job.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Best coaching job.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (40:21):
No, Nick Bosa, no Fred Warner, kidle in and out
of the lineup, no branding now.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
You no debo.
Speaker 6 (40:27):
Trent's been out of the lineup, has been out, and
you managed to get yourself in a space. You're twelve
and four and you don't have to leave the state
of California until after.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
The Super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (40:40):
So I think it's gonna be a great game, man,
And I would like to see Shanahan get it done.
But if he doesn't, I believe that the windows officially closed.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Man.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
These games are hard to kind of figure out who's
gonna win. Like Seattle and San Francisco, both teams really good.
You would say Seattle has it advantage just because defensively
that they're intact. But Kyle Shanahan and sala our x factors.
And then you look at the Bucks and Panthers. It's
(41:10):
like flip a coin. One game, the Bucks look very good.
They beat the Rams, they beat this team, they beat
that team, and then they lose to bad teams. You're like, huns,
it's the same team. And I don't know what is
going on with the Bucks. I have no idea what's
going on with them. And so you literally, I believe
the Bucks and the Panthers about to kick off here
in a few hours, and you just.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
Don't know what's gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (41:35):
But one thing I do know, I'm gonna be glued
to the TV because I love football.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
Yeah, these are good games. Is good games, competitive games.
See what's going to happen for the playoff? Pitcher, we
got a whole lot more to talk to and not
a whole lot of time to do. An hour two
is coming at you. We got cups the legend. Obviously
he's going to be coming on from some dude show
and we're gonna talk some basketball. So we're gonna take
a quick break and then we'll be right back. This
is up on Game TJ Plex. I'm LeVar Eh. This
