go again. Uh, the Miami Dolphins have a quarterback problem

(01:54):
to a Taco byloa is back in concussion protocol. Here
was the Dolphins head coach McDaniel, who was stepped up
to the podium. Wanted to talk with the media and
explain the situation. And so Mike McDaniel walks up to
the podium. He takes his left hand, puts it on
the left side, his right hand on the other side,
and he had this to say to the media. I

(02:15):
care very deeply about each and every player. Um, I
take that serious. So you know, I just I just
want him to get healthy and have peace of mind
in that regard. And that's first and foremost, and then
whatever those circumstances are after, you deal with after. But
it's about the human being and making sure he's squared away,
all right. So I just want to make my quartermatch

(02:38):
is healthy, and he's yeah, I just want to make
you sure that that you and and birds Own and
Jonas and Lee, you know, everything is good when when
they get done with what they're doing for in the day.
I think that's your best impression. Thanks, thank you. Johan

(03:00):
is really appreciate great compliment about that. Sounds just like
that's your guy. I just had a good time with it. Yeah, yeah,
but his voice is funny. Is this the second concussion protocol?
Always been in ye? Yeah, and thought he should have

(03:23):
been in after the first hit, right, and then he
got concussed the next week, and so he was in
for an extent a period of time then and now
this is the second time. He might be done for
the year. Man, I was just thinking that he might
be done for the year. I mean to his initial
that whole two week period from the initial hit where

(03:44):
he went back in the game and the following week
another nasty hit, and then he's he's a concussion protocol
for a while. That's what sparked the whole outrage. And
you know, all the people that you know, the Warriors
on Twitter released, you know, stuck their fire. But this
is a tough call because you are more susceptible once
you suffer one to have another. Dealt with that in

(04:06):
two thousand twelve, and the weird thing was, it wasn't
a hit that we were able to determine. Maybe two
was to a degree, and he didn't talk about those
symptoms until yesterday, where then he ended up going into
the protocol. So it's it could be a scary thing,
and he might need some time in order to heal

(04:26):
and and be able to come back. But it puts
the Dolphins in a really tough spot as they're trying
to still hang on and to you know, make a playoff,
and meanwhile they've got what divisional games the rest of
the way, New England, New York. It's it's a tough
spot to being, I think for him as competitor, but

(04:47):
also as a person and trying to do what's best
for him long term. But I'm a little confused because
I thought they got rid of that independent neurologist that
let him back in the game that first time, So
they should have cleared everything up right, like there should
have been no other issues, and yet and yet here
we are and there's still the same. It just it
was Christmas junks. Well, I'll be that's a good point. Yeah,

(05:09):
I forgot what day it was. But Warren Sharp, because
there's some speculation is to win. He suffered the concussion
and there was a hit in the game where he
got tackled and hit the back of his head on
the turf, similar to what has happened with him a
couple of times already this year. And so Warren Sharp
broke down sort of his numbers before the hit and

(05:30):
then afterwards. Before the hit he was nine of twelve
two nine yards, he had a touchdown and not picks.
After that play he was seven of thirteen eighty one yards,
no touchdowns and three picks. Like there was a clear
difference between the quality of play which after he took
the hit and after he didn't take the hit. And

(05:50):
the one thing I've seen people sort of throw out
there that I don't think applies here is when they're
talking about, well, this is the danger when you have
a mobile quarterback or somebody like to his hits. Aren't
him trying to pick up first downs? Right? It's him maybe,
you know, trying to make a play, but he's getting
wrapped up and tackled and he's hitting the back of
his head on the turf, like, can you pick it

(06:11):
at the same issue. This year, he suffered a couple
of concussions. It's not like he's getting hit helmet to
helmet considered to be a top like a mobile mobile quarterback.
He's good run. Yeah, he's not like a mobile quarter right.
I don't know they changed the slide rule in college
football because yeah, I mean it wasn't that was a

(06:31):
good moment for Let me ask you any other It
wasn't a bowl game? How many other how many other championship? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
um a CC championship? So how many quarterbacks have gotten
concussed this year? Of note? Like, how do how many
do we think you know off the top of your head,

(06:53):
we probably don't even know. It's not that it's Wilson, Um.
I'm trying hard to think else. Piket russ Um and Bridgewater.
Yeah the first first could custom Stafford, Stafford, Stafford, Stafford,

(07:18):
Stufford one. But yeah, there's been there's been five or
six maybe that have suffered a concussion, and uh two
is one out of all those those quarterbacks you just name,
how many of them we say are true runners? Like
they're running, they're runner run run option quarterbacks mobile. It
depends how you're defining it. I mean, no one's no
one's Lamar Jackson. It's hard to well, I'm just saying,

(07:42):
like an RPO style quarterback, like a guy that's going
to they're going to run like Jalen Hurts. You know,
Jalen Hurts is going to be a part of their
their was gonna run, you know what I mean? Like,
how many of them will we say? Because when we
start to to identify, Okay, is this a problem connected
to a running quarterback of mobile back? Any of them
are really mobile? I'll say this, I don't know if

(08:04):
it matters whether they're running or not. I think what
people tend to look at is are they in the
pocket or out of the pocket. Like if they're in
the pocket, you you get a lot of protection as
a quarterback, and so typically when when the concussions are
happening in the pocket, there's not really much else you
can do for him, right, you can't help improve their
offensive line or their scheme and all that, or then

(08:25):
seeing the field getting rid of the football. That's just
that's just a product of their play and then what's
around him everything else. If you if you're making the
case because he's out of the pocket. A little different story.
I mean, I feel like every quarterback now has to
have a degree of mobility to them. They don't have
to be Lamar Jackson running the football, but they do
have to be mobile enough to be able to move
within the pocket or move out of the pocket. But

(08:46):
I just I think the conversations usually tied to are
the in the pocket or out of the pocket when
these hits are taken. But I think that's such a
valid point because defenses are trying to destroy a pocket
that that's just is good in in a lot of cases.
Unless you're dealing with a quarterback that can can deal
on the move, that that's a win. If if you

(09:07):
can collapse the pocket, if you can make the quarterback
move off of his mark, that's a win. So pretty
much every quarterback has to be able to play outside
of the pocket. In two, I don't think there is
no true like you could say it's a true pocket
passing quarterback, but that's just to say that there there
they stand, maybe statuesque of sorts and throw the delivery ball.

(09:30):
It's probably but Tom Brady is forced to move off
his Mark as well. Tom Brady has to deal outside
of the pocket. I mean, that's what defenses are doing.
Defenses will actually give up the outside. They'll give up
contain with the outside pass rusher, a defensive end or
a rushing backer. And we saw Michael Parsons doing it

(09:50):
this past week. Like they'll give up the outside just
to flush you out, just to flush you out of
the pocket. They'll overload to the inside to to collapse
the pockets. So anyway, not to get off all into that,
but I'm just saying the point of it is is
that guys, the quarterback has to be able to to
to do it inside and outside of the pocket. Like

(10:12):
that's that's the bottom line, and they're going to be
the one that's that. Really you think about, there's two
guys that touch the ball every single play when when
the offense and the defense is on the field, and
that's the center and that's the quarterback unless something totally
different changes and they put somebody else in, but what
you're guaranteed is the center and the quarterback are gonna

(10:33):
touch the ball. So the quarterback is the he is
the main focal point of touching down on a defense.
There are eight to nine guys every single play, maybe seven,
maybe four, depending on where you are in the game.
But their whole intentions, their whole job description is to

(10:55):
get to the quarterback. Like there's no other there's no
other position out there where you say my entirety of
my gig. Maybe a safety, I mean, excuse me, maybe
a cornerback. But the bottom line is you have multiple
guys that their job is entirely to get to a quarterback.
So they're going to get hit, They're going to take hits.

(11:18):
I just think that we're getting to a place now
where when guys get concussed and get these situations like
even like I saw Steve Wish make the comment about
to hit that Derwin James mate, and how people were
like this was so cringe worthy and oh my gosh,
this that and other. You know, most of your your
Hall of famers are not in the Hall of Fame
if that hit is illegal when they were playing, you know,

(11:39):
most of the highlights that built the reputation and in
the popularity of the sport outside of making big catches,
big catches, big hits, big plays, big hits. We've gone
so far away from guys being valient in a valiant
sport that when we see something take place, it's such

(12:00):
a it's it's like a mind blower, like, oh my gosh,
he's got two concussions, Like, deal with the concussion. If
he can play, he can play. If he can't, he can't.
Guys get injuries that shorten their careers all the time.
It's it's it's a natural process of guys have to
come and guys have to go, and if that doesn't happen,

(12:20):
I don't, you know, I'm not sure how it all
plays out. But I just don't understand why people get
so caught up into Okay, he's got a concussion, like
he got concussed. It happens like move on, like he's
got he's got to go through protocol, move like, move
on from it, because guys are going to get it.
Does he play this weekend because he's not been ruled

(12:41):
out and they say it's too early, and obviously they
got a lot to play for. By the way they're reeling,
they've lost four straight. Miami has they do not look
anywhere close to the team that started the season, and
so they're in the midst of this losing streak. Um
there you know they need they've gotta win. Obviously they
need a Jets loss, which, you know what would help
them get into the postseason. But at this point, do

(13:03):
you think he plays? And if you guys were if
you guys were running the Dolphins are coaching this team,
it's to a playing the rest of the year. Because
he threw out the question he might be done or
the thought that he might be done the rest of
the season, would you play him the rest of the
year based on this being a second or possibly third
issues with concussion so far this season, You've got to

(13:28):
leave it up to him and the doctors, right Like,
I don't think this is like a Mike McDaniel decision.
This is a tour and the doctors involved, and how
he's feeling. I think the toughest thing about asking that
question is players can hide it. If he really wants
to play, he can, you know, try his best to
talk his way out of ask him because ultimately he

(13:48):
only he's the one who knows how he feels, how
he's seeing things, how he's if he's gotten symptoms and headaches,
and then whether or not he's able to kind of
sleep and process cognitively everything that's going on. And so
that's the tough part is they might have to try
to protect him from himself if he wanted to go
that route, because some people felt like he went that
route the first time and that's how you ended up

(14:10):
with a concussion the following week. So it's it's tough
to predict. To me, it's not so much about that,
Like I'd be curious to look at their odds right
now of making the playoffs because on a four game skid,
which I think after the Buffalo game and then looking
at the schedule at least I looked at it and thought, okay,
kind of a moral victory, right, like, you're up again

(14:31):
by ten points against Buffalo. Yes, they come back to win,
but you proved a lot of doubt is wrong about
your ability to play in bad weather, a divisional opponent
place like that last week, I mean, a tale of
two halves, but again up ten in the in the
second half and you give up that lead again two
weeks in a row. That one was tough to a
tough pill to swallow. You know the game in your grasps,

(14:54):
and you in two weeks in a row, you give
up a second half lead like that, Uh, tough, you know.
So look, whether it's Bridgewater whoever else. To me, it's
it's it's more of like, is their value there to
try to, you know, place a bet on this team
to potentially still making the playoffs giving their circumstances, did
you so, are you looking for the odds for them

(15:14):
to get into the postseason? I mean, like I can
crunch December okay, yeah, give me one second here, thank
you quick minus two minus two five the Miami Dolphins
to get into the postseason. So that is the that
is the odds according to our friends Draft Kings. Uh,

(15:35):
the odds and them to not make the playoffs pays
out at plus one seventy five hundred dollars wins. You
won seventy five in return if you don't think the
Miami Dolphins are going to the postseason. So there you're odd.
Do you think it's an indictment on the Patriots and
considering the Dolphins? Basic, you have to win one game,
they just have to win one of the next two,
right right, one game and then if you know, the
Jets lose. Yeah, I think that's that's an indicator that

(15:57):
maybe the bottom portion of the whoever whoever gets the
second seed is going to get wiped out. Most like,
it doesn't really matter if the Jets lose, right, that's
more that has to do with whether the Jets make
it or not. The Dolphins seven, I mean at nine
and eight, they're probably so they just gotta win one
of the next two and obviously if they beat the
Jets in the Week eight team, there's your loss, but

(16:19):
there's your win too for the Dolphins anyway. Yeah, yeah,
so it's uh so there's the situation with two in
the Miami Dolphins and Mike McDaniel and by the the
Miami said kind of a weird stretch, kind of an
up and down season when you just look at everything
that they've done as far as their their wins. They
started off hot, then they got cold. Everything they've done

(16:40):
has been on a streak. They started off with three
three wins, they lost three in a row, then they
won five in a row. Now they've lost four in
a row. Just a roller coaster season for the Miami Dolphins.
And when from where they started and now you're looking
at the fact that they may not finish above five.
It's kind of kind of that's kind of been a
little bit of a meltdown Miami just sort of late

(17:01):
in the season, So not not a good finish to
the season for your your Florida team there, Brady, They've
been accustomed to this, right, They've been accustomed to December meltdowns,
and it's been what twenty some years since they've won
a playoff games. So I'm sure there's a lot of
a lot of folks who are curious to see if
they can make it into the tournament, into the playoffs

(17:22):
and see what happens from there. Yeah, it's Two Pros
and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio LaVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks in the here you can hang

All right, it's coming up next. There's a player in
the NFL that is being called out. He's being called
out not only by the league but by other players
in the league for something he routinely does and it's

(17:44):
finally getting more attention. We'll get into that for you
right here on fs ARE be sure to catch live
editions of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with
Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week days at

(18:05):
knocks with the Here you can hang out with us
as always on the I Heart Radio app. Coming up
in a little over twenty minutes from now, we're gonna
have an fs R i R things to report from
a long weekend. Injuries, issues, ailments. It's all yours again
twenty minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio. So
mac Jones is at it again. Uh, he's got a problem, man.

(18:28):
Mac Jones apparently thought that there was no issue whatsoever
with the fact that on a turnover against the Cincinnati Bengals,
when Eli Apple had really nothing to do with the
play whatsoever, he was just running, Mac Jones just went
ahead and decided, all right, well, I'm gonna go ahead
and take his knees out. And I just went ahead
and took Eli Apple's knees out. Now, this is, uh,

(18:50):
you know, not the first time he's had an issue
with this, whether it was kicking Brisker and the nuts
on the from the Bears earlier this season. He gator
Old Brian burns. I believe that the Panthers last year
is that what's called a gator roll. A little gator
roll there, you know, just wrap them up. I mean, listen,
you know in Florida, in Florida where you know where
I'm from. Uh, it looks more like a leg whip

(19:12):
what I saw, But go ahead, no, I mean a
little gator roll. The gator role sounds better than leg whip,
you know what I mean, Gator roy. I feel like
it's entirely different than what you're actually referring to, but
it sounds better. And for the purposes of radio, I mean,
it's all about the sound, and so gat just have
a little bit better. Mac Jone has tried to explain himself.

(19:32):
This was on w E I. I went down in
front of him to kind of get in the way
to stop him from flowing down Tae Kwon, who obviously
couldn't make the tackle there, so just kind of went
down in front of him and um, trying to stop
the fast guy and getting into another fast guy. So
just split second decision, and there's a lot that goes
into it. Um, you're out there trying to compete in

(19:53):
the physical games. So just trying to help the team win,
and UM have all the respect for Eli and the Bengals.
They played a great game. So there's no hard feelings
and definitely no intention to hurt anybody on that play,
Nor do I believe that. When I'm playing quarterback, that's
what now. I get hit a lot too, So we're
all out there playing playing hard and that's just part

(20:13):
of the game. Now. The numbers I've seen is that
he's going to be fine a little bit over eleven
thousand dollars for the for the hit on Eli Apple.
So you know, is he a dirty player? He probably
looks dirty, I'll put it that way. I don't see
many guys who slide, who go let you know, cleats up,
And I know, like as this has become more spread

(20:35):
around social media, people have shared other photos of quarterbacks
who have done so. And I've always stated that I
think sliding feet first, even though you're provided the protection
are supposed to be, that doesn't mean there's not gonna
be incidental contact or you getting hit by players. You
can't pull up or pull off in time, and so
sometimes you'll see guys put their cleats up as a

(20:57):
deterrent to that. Defender coming to hit them or to
protect themselves because they're going to get hit, especially in
the head or neck area. So I know someone showed
a clip of Burrow doing it, maybe some others, but
I would generally say this as a man who threw
a number of interceptions in the league. There is a
switch that turns. When you turn the football over, bad

(21:18):
things happen. And I think he's got it all right.
I think he's got that switch where he turns into
an a hole and he's like then looking to take
someone out right, like you may get this possession, I'm
gonna take out one of yours like it feels like
that switch turns. For mac Jones, he's a super, super
highly competitive guy. I got to know him a little

(21:40):
bit back when he was in high school. Um so
since then, I don't think any of that's changed. And
I do I appreciate the demeanor that he handles the
press conferences with because it makes you get this sense
that he's he's just a nice guy. And it's just
it was it's a dead on. It's a physical game,
and I wasn't trying to hurd deal one out there
no chance. That is not the psychopath of that that

(22:03):
he turns into once he once he throws a pick,
or once there's any sort of issue like that. All
I know is there, that's an egregious it's an egregious
play like it was. And and and listen, he he
falls down in front of him. He doesn't like really
kind of like angle out his knee or anything like that.

(22:24):
But his explanation has no type of validity connected to it.
I mean, let's just be clear here. And here's what's
more upsetting. I don't tell you what's more upsetting as
a defender is that you're at risk of somebody doing
that to you, and in the in the play, in
the midst of the play. But if you were to

(22:45):
hit him, you're you're getting flagged and you're getting fine.
Had nothing to do now now, now, it should have
been a penalty. It should have been a penalty. It
was missed by the officials because you're not you're not
allowed to have that happen. But to your point, though,
it wouldn't be penalized. If Matt Jones chased on the ball,

(23:07):
he's fair game. It's only if he's not making a
move towards the football, which you can't hit him. He
should be you know, someone should be flagged, should be
flagged for hitting him if he's not making a move,
but he was chasing after it. He's a fair game.
I just get to feel and everything you do is
going to be a flag. So it made my rule.
You're right, but I would I would assume if he

(23:29):
got destroyed obliterated by Eli Apple, that the flag is
coming out he the ball is coming out of the
end zone and something happens like That's how I look
at I mean, Apple had nothing to do. Eli Apple
not gonna yeah, and what would like, what was the

(23:50):
Elia Apple gonna do? Like dragged down the Patriots player
trying to make a tackle on his teammate. The only
truth of that was clearly Mac Jones was not gonna
Actually it's just like at that point, clearly he's not
playing a factor in that place, so he might as
well just take out something. I'm gonna get me. Can
I tell you give me? I'm get me? Can I

(24:10):
tell you the honest truth? When I saw the video,
I swear to God, one of the first things I
thought of was I could see Brady doing that, Like
I could see Brady Quinn doing that, Like, I absolutely
could see what I would not go low on a
defender like that in the open, but I could see
you flipping the switch and looking to go after somebody like,

(24:33):
not not going low on anybody. I could see you
going up high on somebody like like first, I'll put
it this way, if I don't get if I if
I can't catch them by the time they get back
to the original line of scrimmage, I'm probably not gonna
be able to catch him from that on out. So
I kudos to mac Jones for all the effort that
he put into that particular play. I don't I don't

(24:55):
know that. I'm trying to run for the love of
the game after you throw the pick like that. Okay,
so then and so out. He's been fined. If it
happens again, he's gonna get suspended. Correct, we'll finding as well,
probably doubled, if not more. And you think of suspension
would would be which? Which would he be the first
quarterback in NFL history suspended for being dirty? Mac Jones?

(25:19):
Just listen? Can we play the sound back? He just
listen down, He's great. Does he sound like a nice guy? Yeah?
Just I went down in front of him to kind
of get in the way to stop him from slowing
down Tae Kwon, who obviously couldn't make the tackle there
so just kind of went down in front of him,
and UM, trying to stop the fast guy from getting
into another fast guy. So just split second decision, and

(25:40):
there's a lot that goes into it. Um, you're out
there trying to compete in the physical games, so just
trying to help the team win, and UM have all
the respect for Eli and the Bengals. They played a
great game. So UM, there's no hard feelings and definitely
no intention to hurt anybody on that play. I believe
when I playing quarterback, that's what you know. I get
hit a lot too. So we'll out there playing playing

(26:03):
hard and it's just part of the game. Oh he
hard to feel like exactly speaking for Ela, Hey, we're cool. Yeah, well,
you know, kind of respect for you, weren't cool? He said, Well,
it was like, you know, well there was a turnover
and it's like, you know, maybe they should fill up
out about that. By the way, what is Elapple going
to do? The type like they're going to be a

(26:26):
zone by the time he gets there. That's the part
I don't get like, what was he gonna do, like
trip trip him up? Was Eli Apple going to trip
him up to make a block and they get called
for a penalty, Like none of it makes And he said,
first off, Eli Apple, it might be like top five
fastest player the league. That dude can move. This is
so funny, man, Like, Yeah, by the way, for Verdos

(26:48):
got on this Shakira concert on in the studio and
I've never really paid that much attention. Oh she's got
some hips, Snoe. Yeah, they don't lie, No, they don't.
They do not, even if they will seek ships by
even if they did lie, even if they did lie.
A problem. I don't need the trip. That's fine, love,
and you was wrong. I don't want to be right.

It's Eddie Garcia. Who bad Eddie. That's it's it's a
verse for you. It's one you continue to have some
original content, but your hips are truthful. Eddie shayak or

(27:53):
shakure Eddie. Come on, Eddie. Oh that's a good one.
Right now, I'm gonna go Shakira. I might have to
go Shakira with you, Eddie. I mean, just based off
of current content. Yeah, I mean, like whatever, you guys
don't want it. That's finally, that's true. There's no losers
in that question. I mean, yeah, I never paid attention

(28:18):
to and carry. I mean I'm a fan now. I
mean I'll grab something to go. I don't mind you guys,
all right, If you do that, I will tell you though.
Monday Night football had the Chargers beating the Colts twenty three.
That was in Indianapolis, l A, clinching a playoff spot
with that win. There first since first time head coach
Brandon Staley and quarterback Justin Herbert will be playing in

(28:38):
the postseason. Austin Ekeler, a couple of one year touchdown
runs in the win for the Colts. They go with
Nick Foles the quarterback, and that one did not go
to well. Three interception sacks, seven times. Indy was over
ten on third down conversions, They were one for four
on fourth down and the one time they made a
fourth down conversion, the next play they threw an interception.
Charges are nine and six with the win. Right now,
they are the sixth seed in the a f C playoffs.

(28:59):
They would take on the Bengals in the first round.
Right now, the way it stands, Indie four ten and
one with that loss. News from the NFL where Miamed
Dalbin's quarterback to a talk has been placed in the
concussion protocol. His status for Sunday's big game at New
England is unknown. This is officially the second time he's
been in the concussion protocol this season, although most believed
he has actually suffered three concussions this year. Denver Broncos

(29:20):
fired their first raad coach, Nathaniel hack It, after embarrassing
fifty one fourteen loss to the Rams on Sunday. Broncos
are four and eleven on the season. Jerry Rossberg as
your interim head coach New York Jets have cleared quarterback
Mike White to play and he will play Sunday against
the Seahawks, coming back from uh injury. UH. The Centennai
Bengals announce left tackle while Collins suffered at torny cl
and m c l in one over the Patriots and

(29:42):
he is out for the rest of the season. Back
to LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn and Jona Stocks at the
tire rac dot Com, Fox Sports Radio Studios. Thanks Dy,
by the way, Eddie, you and the mrs is gonna
get out to a Charger playoff game. It's being talked about,
it's being discussed, so we'll see. It's up to her.
She's you know, she's the Charger fans. So it could
be since an addie, or it could be it could

(30:02):
be cold to yeah, so yeah, but it's looking like
Cincinnati or maybe Kansas City or no, probably most likely Cincinnati.
Correct as far as that should be the game that
you go to, it was most likely the last one
of the season. Oh come on, I'm sorry, sorry, it'd
be fun though. Little Joe Burrowver is justin Herbert the

(30:24):
first round of the playoffs season finale. You can go
see your buddy Andy Firman out in Cincinnati to I
don't know if I want to go down. You see
how you see how he does it, you know all
the other stuff, how he does it, how he mails
the mail is. LaVar got one recently from my Andy firm,
and he said, thank you very much and very much.
That's great. I'm happy for you. He can send thoroughly

(30:46):
enjoyed going through, leafing through the articles. Yeah, was it
from a newspaper? Yes, God, he's he's both keeping the
postal service and the newspapers in business. Man. Somebody's got
to do it, I guess, so thank God for him.

just you can't care enough. Ah, I don't even care. Yeah,
it's two pros and a cup of Joe Fox Sports

(32:16):
Radio Lavari Errington, Brady Quinn, Jonas knock Here you can
hang out with us is always on the I Heart
Radio app. All right, it's coming up top the next hour.
We'll call him a fifteen minutes from now from the
Tirack dot Com studios, we are going to get into
a situation in the NFL and which one team has
already made their decision on what next year will look
like at the quarterback position. And this one's going to

(32:38):
raise some eyebrows here from a lot of people in
and around the NFL media. But right now it's time
for something we do every single post weekend. It's called
this after your sports week happens. So it's time to
get the SRER report. All right, who wants to start

(32:59):
long holiday weekend? Long ass holiday week And do you
have something? Uh? Yeah, I'll go. Um. I got strip
sacked holding a beer. Strip strip sacked, stripped and sacked.
So my son likes to do this thing where he
always wants to go cheers. No matter what it is

(33:20):
like you could be holding your toothbrush, you could be
holding a cracker, you could be holding like anything, whatever
it is, he always wants to go cheers. And so
he had like a little soccer ball in his hands.
And it was Christmas Day and I just got done
cleaning up and everything. I was all right, I'm out
of my first beer of the day, first beer, and
it was ice cold. Pulled it out like an Australia

(33:40):
Jalisco Burdoh pulled out ice cold Australia Jala. I just
opened it up, I take my first sip and I
say to my son, cheers. And he literally took the
soccer ball and knocked it out of my hands. Strip sacked, Yeah,
little little hands yeah, rip sack. Yeah. I didn't have

(34:01):
my gloves on. I had a pair of Newman's upstairs too,
and I didn't have him on. I went no glove. Yeah,
and there that there the beer was all over the floor,
and I just just dumped it out and said, all right,
that'll wrap it up. Like just so that was my
there's a little Yeah, that's fine, okay, but but at
least you found out your son get kicked. Man, he's
got he's got a leg on him. And look you've

(34:24):
seen him throw. He's got yeah, alright, so he looks like,
what was the guy broke his arm? Is that rookie
of the year? He breaks his armies? Yeah, and they
they surgically repair it. He throws faster now Rossberg, No,
not Strasburg. I think it's got a Rookie of the
year Henry Rowanberger Rowan gardener, gardener. Yeah. Yeah, it's the

(34:50):
only time the Cubs have ever wanted anything I think
comes in that movie. I'm not mistaken interesting. I believe
that's how many times can shakure it like you do
that move, I mean that one move. The secure. I mean,
it's been the entire concert that never gets back. I mean,

(35:10):
by the way, are you showing something in your front pocket? Like,
what's happening there? I'm trying to comprehend it a little bit.
What do you do to the berto nothing? You lose
your idea or something? All right? Who else has got
something here? You know? My? My, I R would be

(35:31):
being Santa Clause again. You know it's you know when
the more kids you have, the more you have to do. Now.
I don't do shopping, but I will help set up
for Christmas. And the older I get, the more I realized,
the longer I stay out of the gym, the worst

(35:52):
this thing called life is going to get. What do
you mean, so by the time we pulled all the bags, like,
because when she's doing her her Sentus Helpers workshop, and
everything is all blocked off and she can only go
in there and and prepare the gifts for for Christmas

(36:12):
because she wraps everything, and and so to take all
of the bags out and then pull them out, put
them down, go back down and pull them out, put
them down. It takes a toll on your back. Man.
I think for the first half of Christmas, when when
I went to stand up to do anything, I could

(36:34):
not straighten my back. I could not straighten up. I
was just bent over. So I like to play it
off because I don't like to look vulnerable. So I
sit my linebacker spot, you know, spinal. It was spinal,
you know, and then final so I go into my
linebacker stance and they're like, Dad, what are you doing.
I'm like, you know, it's like it's a football Saturday,

(36:54):
like you know, I'm just feeling good, like you know,
it's lining. And then I start like power sliding to
go out the room. And then I put my hands
back on my knees and be like, god, God, my
back feels bade. Would I would have soaked that up
because I've always running around the house doing everything. So
I'll be like, nope, Dad's backs out. I'm gonna have
to be sitting here on the couch for the next
stut of out fourteen hours. And I started pointing out.

(37:17):
I started pointing out the lineman, like there's the guard
is that he's back? He sat back? He sat back?
Banjo banjo banjo? You got you got check? Check? Like yeah,
back was out back. It's still sore actually today by
the way, so I don't have an I R story.
I do think I found the cheat code from a

(37:40):
buddy of mine. So he basically told me about a
week of you. He's like, hey, he's from the South.
He's like, hey, man, here's what we're gonna do. We're
gonna we're gonna tell the wives are going out shopping
for them. He's like, so it gets you an automatic
hall pass. He's but here's what we end up doing,
all right. We started off with the Capitol Grill. We
go there, have a few nice beverages and a nice lunch.

(38:01):
Because then we walk around the mall for a bit
and he's like, but then every one of these department stores,
like they all got bars. He's like, so we go
into the bar, We'll get a drink from there, come
up with a game plan. What you're gonna get department store,
get a drink, come up with a game plant whatever.
I think. I was gone. I was gone with these
guys for like it was cut my buddies. We were

(38:22):
gone for like six hours. It was probably a total
combined hour of shopping like where we actually knocked out,
got some gifts from the bigger all right, But here's
the biggest talk. Basically, here's a big here's the big
question that's fantastic and total. How many text messages and

(38:45):
calls did you receive during that six hours? Oh that's
the best part, though not many because because I would
sell all y'all next year, what can it be trest
me same every day man, Dad's you can only use

(39:06):
that one time a year, though, you only get that
one time a year. But there you go for next
year maybe Birthday? Yeah, maybe maybe maybe Valentine's Day, you
can use it. By the way, the best part, it's
the best part of my buddy did he bought two
purses and he goes, I'm gonna make her pick one.
He goes to the other one after can take back

(39:27):
and return after Christmas. Now you get to go and
I would get no. No. Then I'm gonna get to
spend it on myself. But I'll get to buy everything
at a discount because everything's gonna be see, I would
I would buy two items, one for return, so that
I could actually redo the six hour work day I'm shopping.
You know, we gotta take it back. You gotta take

(39:49):
it back to me. Four and by the way, shout
out to the malls that are recognized that. You know,
if we want to get more men shopping in here,
we gotta throw a bar up like we go. Let's
go ahead and do happy hour while guys are doing
shopping for their for them. This is that's fantastic. Dammit,

(40:11):
that's a great song. God, I can't wait for Christmas
next you wonderful, so fun gotta go. Fox Sports Radio
