You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Yeah, Cherry Red one fifty.
It's one fifty in the dizzy stizzy. I'm doing sixty
down a one whizzy sixty bump that spunner you we
lost a hubcap, Brady, Oh yeah, I was like, what's that?
(00:56):
Straight from What's I don't know. It's Cherry Red.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Just no one got beef, huh. I couldn't keep it up.
Finally I lost the beat. Somebody asked me. Somebody asked
me on Twitter. Somebody asked me on Twitter over the weekend.
They're like, hey, what's the name of that song?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Like, I'm the one person and I just deferred to Brady.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
I was like, I don't know, ask him. I asked
for whatever it's so hard about Big Pun. I think
I think that's what it's called. It might be Big
Pun or show that's Big Pun. Oh man, Yeah it's
Big Pun. But I think it's called It's so hard.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I believe.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I know. No, Fat Joe was his manager. Fat he
was signed to Fat Joe, so Fat Joe would be
in all of his videos and all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
That Joe was Big Pun's manager. Yeah, really, yeah, he
was with Terror Squad.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
I thought he was just part of the Terror Squad.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, he was part of Terror Squad. Did y'all know
that too? Did y'all know that Big Pun was a
part of Terror Squad?
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:04):
But I thought, okay, I thought I thought Fat Joe
was the performer. I didn't know he was the manager.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Well, Fat Joe is a performer, but Fat Joe created
Terror Squad.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Oh he's a triple threat.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
All right, Yeah, I guess so. Talent manager, owner, yeah,
business owner yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Cherry Red, Cherry Red one fifty damn right, damn right,

The way tire buying should be. So Aaron Rodgers man
making himself at home? Huh? How about that? How about
your Roger really making himself at home. He's already working
with the Jets. He's already there at the facility. Robert
(03:11):
Sala speaking glowingly about Aaron Rodgers and just what he's
done already in his time with the New York Jets.
He's even going to a couple of games. He was
at the Knicks game yesterday, he was at the Rangers
game the night before. How about how about Aaron Rodgers
trying to make his presence felt there? Is he rubbing
me in, rubbing me in the fact that he didn't
have all those opportunities to have a social life in
(03:31):
Green Bays. I'm just asking here.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
I mean, shots fired. You can't control you know, green
Bay not having anything else o than the Packers, my gosh.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
I mean he is a part owner with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Does feel like, you know, maybe this is you know,
and look, I'm not trying to be you know, disrespectful
or anything, but I mean the Knicks did lose that game.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
They did so well, but yeah, yeah, Jimmy Butler, though
we don't know about his right ankle.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
It's always something I saw like a two.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
And a half minute clip though, as they were going throughout,
like all the celebrities who are there in attendance, and
it's pretty funny that they'd show each each each celebrity
and sometimes like a past New York Nick and you know,
the crowd be like yeah, you know, yeah, I kept
kind of going and then there'd be some like people
didn't know and he was like, oh yeah, it's like
(04:30):
there's nothing, like you really didn't hear anything at all.
And I was like, all right, but that's the environment man,
Madison Square Garden. It's just such a such a cool place,
you know. And by the way, I'm glad he's like
going out and about and taking all this stuff in.
And I think that's a step for Aaron Rodgers, who
throughout their course of his career in Green Bay, like
wasn't recluse, but was obviously not as much in the limelight.
(04:54):
And maybe that had a little something to do with
what you're saying there, Jonas. But now I think if
you're gonna be the New York Jets co and a
New York quarterback in general, you have to be comfortable
with being in the spotlight. You have to be comfortable
with going to those things, experiencing them and being around
you know people. It's just it's it's a part of
the deal. And the fact that he's already outdoing it,
(05:14):
I think it shows you how this thing's gonna go.
Like I think some people might have felt like he
didn't feel comfortable with doing those sorts of things, but
he seems very comfortable, you know, taking it all in
and kind of experiencing what is this this second life
if you will. Within the game of football, he is
a star, and.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Listen, if he wins, his stardom goes to a whole,
entirely different place. So he's in the perfect he's in
a perfect scenario and situation to be able to you know,
he doesn't have to say people are coming here for
Aaron Rodgers in New York City. And if he's able
(05:57):
to win, I mean, look at Broadway Joe. People don't
even you. You would not even be able to recollect
what Broadway Joe looked like playing football, But they still
he is so beloved, he's so popular. You know, he's
doing you know, potty potty commercials and you know, other
(06:18):
types of commercials.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
To this day, he wore pantios.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
I mean, bro Broadway Joe. If you know about Broadway
Joe to do was just he was. He was a maverick,
he was a he was a trendsetter.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
I mean he was.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
He was the dude.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
He's a p a guy. Yes he was. What where
where is Joe Beaver Beaver Falls he's from.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
We always make fun of the fact that he left
he left that Western Pa accent and dialect behind and
and totally adopt adopted the Alabama, the Alabama way of talking.
You know, he's got real, he got we we sound country,
but he sounds super Alabama in country. So but anyway,
(07:01):
I just think as it applies to to Aaron Rodgers
and the situation that he's in right now, if he
is able to have a measured level of success, and
I mean measured meaning if they can make it to
the playoffs win their divisions, We're gonna ask that, what's
the right expectation. I don't think win the division first, right, the.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Bill is still there. I think if they're able to win.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
The division, you're now saying with the bill still there,
they were able to win the division, like.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
What would be considered a failure for Rogers not winning
the division?
Speaker 4 (07:31):
I don't. So here's here's what I'll say about that
is they don't need to win the division to win
a super Bowl. I'm I'm not saying I'm not saying
the super Bowl is the I mean, ultimately it's the
end goal. But I'm not saying if they don't win it,
to bust, I would say, if they don't make the playoffs,
that's a that's a big disappointment. Like this whole thing
is building towards them being a playoff team and then
(07:53):
them making a run.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
And I could see that, but I still think, yeah,
if they made the playoffs, that that that's yeah, because
because they.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Don't need to win, you know, the division to make
the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
That's true, that's true.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
I think if they didn't make the playoffs, that's what
everyone's a year from now looking back on what the
hell just happened.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, you know, if they took a step forward and
we're able to make the playoffs, that would you would.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Have to consider the season to be a success. The
AFC so tough though.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
I would almost say playoffs though, and a win, mmm,
like you got to get you got to get to
the divisional round, yeap. You got to get at least
to the divisional round, you know. And look, if you
can win the division to your point of bar and
you get the host a wildcard round playoff game or
i mean, god forbid your top overall seed, you get
a buye and you're hosting divisional round like that's a
(08:40):
home run. You're the number one overall seed in that
division as competitive as as it's going to be in
the AFC East, that's a home run. But let's just
say you you do win the division, you're hosting a
wildcard game like that? To me, you know, Woody Johnson
started looking at saying a year from now, we were
we didn't know if we could make the playoffs because
of our quarterback. And now I'm not saying that they're
(09:00):
making it because of it, but we feel like we
got a shot to win a super Bowl because of it,
like we should. We're going to be in the playoffs
and in the tournament every year because of our roster
and because of our quarterback.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Well, what did you say last week? He's he gives
you three extra wins.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
So yeah, I think without a doubt.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, so there are a ten win team next year,
just with three extra wins based on what they did
this past season and assuming they're going to have, you know,
a better luck health wise, as far as you know
what happened that game in Denver when they lost Breeze
Hall and they lost you know, the offensive lineman who
went down with the injury the same Yeah, it just
(09:35):
felt like everything sort of went downhill from there, and
then you've got all the chaos and everything to go
along with it. I just I don't know, barring health,
I don't know how this doesn't work and isn't a
success for the New York Jets because the AFC is tough,
But there's only really like I would say, I'm I'm
more confident in Kansas City and Cincinnati and the AFC.
(09:59):
I don't even know about the Bills, Like, I just
think those two teams, I would say right now clearly ahead.
I like them more than I like the Jets. The
Bills feel like things are just left the question marks
leaving out of the season this past year. Who Buffalo.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, it's just there's something weird. Did they hit their ceiling?
Like That's I asked myself the moment they lost that
their last game. Did they hit their ceiling?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Like?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Why did Leslie Fraser leaved? Why did Stefan Diggs panic
and freak out?
Speaker 4 (10:27):
You know? I looked at their draft and felt like
it was a little bit of that, Like I I mean, look,
Dalton kin Kaid's a good player out of Utah. I
don't get it when you've got Dawson Knox there, who's
under contract till twenty twenty six. So maybe they want
to play more two tight end sets, but it just
felt like a bit of a reach at that spot.
(10:49):
And did they trade up to take him as well?
Maybe they got that pick previously in a transaction, But anyway,
the point is like that was a pick where I
was like, huh, you know you need help. You you
have bullied against the Cincinnati Bengals in the playoffs last year.
You need help up front. And now they did get
(11:10):
O Cyrus Torrents in the second round. Who was, you know,
one of the better interior offensive linemen in this draft class,
A big six five, three fifty. Like, that's a big dude,
and he's gonna move some people around, be a road grader.
And I like the shorter pick in the fifth round.
He'll add some depth to the to the wide receiver group.
But I'm just sitting there kind of watching it going
I was thinking the exact same thing you just said, LeVar,
(11:32):
because I thought back to the playoffs. I'm looking at
the draft going, man, maybe they're just maybe this is it,
Like maybe that's as good as they're gonna be able
to get to at this point based on all the
things evolved.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Well, plus two twenty five right now, you want to
get in on DraftKings plus two twenty five for the
Jets to win the AFC East. It feels like, I don't.
I don't think that's a bad bet. I really don't.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
You'd have to think that it's only I mean, and
I know I've listened to some people talking about this before.
They've said, go through the past few seasons for the Packers,
sometimes they've got off to a slow start, and which
is odd because I was like, wait, it went like
thirteen and three or thirteen and four, whatever it was
a few years ago, so they couldn't have got off
to that slow of a start. But the thought is
(12:14):
that there's the potential chance for value to me at
least now, because I think once they start playing games,
that's when you're probably seeing those odds we bet down
some as the season goes on.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
The schedules getting released reportedly May eleventh, so it's coming
up in about a week and a half, and I'm
just I'm wondering, the Jets have got to be one
of the primetime games week one, correct, They've got to be,
whether it's, you know, one of the Monday night games,
if they're doing double barrel Monday Night games this year,
(12:48):
if it's they feel like that's about that.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Are they still officially calling it the double barrel?
Speaker 2 (12:52):
I don't know, because I don't know if they're going
to be doing that again because they got rid of it.
I think last year, but then brought it back for
like Week two or some they's some funky stuff last.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
You're the one who's coined the phrase though, double barrel.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yeah, big time. I mean, look, that's that's how it's
got to be. Somebody's got to come up with this stuff,
and they got to be creative enough, and clearly the
powers would be at the NFL weren't creative enough to
come up with it. So that's why I'm here, you know,
try and come up with some of these names for
this stuff. But the Jets have got to be featured
in one of these primetime games. I would feel like
that's that's the move, that's the approach they're going to take.
(13:24):
And then when it comes to just the season opener,
obviously we know it's going to be Kansas City is
going to be hosting the debut game, the premiere game,
the first game of the season, the launch of the
NFL this upcoming year, And it feels like the Bills, Bengals,
and Eagles make the most sense as far as who
Kansas City would open up with at home, and my
(13:46):
money's on the Cincinnati Bengals. What do you think about that?
That could be very very spicy one because those are
all scheduled to be home games for Kansas City. Yeah,
what do you think about that? I mean, why not
sincey Buffalo, or to open up the season for the Bills.
Uh well uh or for the Chiefs rather for the Chiefs. Yeah.
(14:09):
I would love for it to be a rematch Bills
no Eagles, Eagles, Yeah, I love for beat Eagles. You
think they'd roll that back? Why not? Week one Philly
Kansas City? If that was the last game we saw
last year, why not? I mean the way the way
it kind of didn't end, but end it. But there's
some bad blood between Kansas City and Cincy. The mayor,
(14:33):
the Bengals kind of have Casey's you know, Caris. They
kind of had their ticket, you know, kind of had
their number. I didn't even know the mayors are going
back and forth. Brady tipped me off to them they
were going back and forth. I had no idea, didn't.
He just loves that stuff.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
By the way, you can't bring up Travis Kelce and
not acknowledge what happened this weekend. What do you mean
when he spiked the Lombardi you drank a beer off
of its spiked it on stage. Oh he did, and
like people were like, this is going one of two ways.
Either the Chiefs are cursed now because of this, or
uh it's it's like maybe they own it, so that's
(15:11):
what they can do with it.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Didn't Gronk Lombard they got baseball you remember.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
The lady, the daughter of the guy who makes them,
was like terribly offended that they were throwing it from
from boat to boat when they.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Were doing their parade.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Like this.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
He literally spiked it. Unless it's like a fake one
or something.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
I hope it was a fake one, dude, but I
kind of hope it was real because if he spiked
the real Lombardi trophy, that might you called the other dude,
who did you call? You called it but savage for
finishing the rep. Yeah, Chelsea is a savage for spiking
the guy.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
He's winning so many that.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
He's just like, yeah, screw yeah, Yeah, we're for Gronk. Now,
Kelsey's doing it. So it is two pros and a
cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you. So coming up, we
are going to talk about a Hall of Famer in
the World of Football, and he is not happy. We'll
tell you who that is. That's next.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming
up in we'll call it a little over twenty minutes
from now, We're gonna have another edition of an FSRI
I R here. It is a Monday that is always
a tradition here for us, every single week. So we'll
get into that for you again a little over twenty
minutes from now from the ti raq dot com studio.
So a hall of famer is not happy. That Hall
(16:51):
of Famer is Dion Sanders. Isaiah Bolden from Jackson State
was drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round. Jon
Sanders took to social media afterwards and talked about how
proud he was of Bolden and then said the following
I'm ashamed of thirty one other NFL teams that couldn't
(17:11):
find draft value in all of the talented HBCU players,
and we had three more draft worthy playoffs draft worthy
players rather at Jackson State. So Deon Sanders not happy.
And this is a guy who some people have not
been happy with over some of the things that have
gone on at Colorado and all the other fun stuff
that we've talked about. But Prime not happy with the representation.
(17:33):
I'm not happy.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
Yeah, he's not happy.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
I don't know what does that mean? You know you're
not at HBCU anymore. You kind of went on to
what you thought were bigger and better things. I mean,
is it a kind of the same theory or thought
process and some regard like I know you may have
a personal connection to these these gentlemen in particular, but
(18:01):
I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
It wasn't good enough for you either.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
I mean, so we're talking about HBCU players going to
the next level, right? Is that how you we'd phrase this?
Speaker 2 (18:19):
You go going to the next level getting an opportunity.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
The odd thing was is like how many HBCU players
were invited to combine? Was it two?
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yeah? But I'd say it wasn't many. I know that
I don't I don't have the number, but well.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
If someone check my notes that I don't have them
up right now, I know I had the number in
there somewhere, but it wasn't many. And so that would
be the first indication of all right, shouldn't we be
giving these young men more of an opportunity to showcase
themselves in comparison to other players at the group of
five power five level, because that's what the combine invite
(18:53):
indicates that these guys are draftable, very much draftable, so
much so that we want to stack them against one another.
We want to get medical v vals, we want to
be able to have all the things that the combine provides,
you know, and to be able to compare these prospects.
And so that should have been probably the first line
in which you said, Okay, hold on this, this bothers me.
Now you know we don't have more inclusiveness to to
(19:16):
the combine. That would have been the first thing. But
if we're talking about players who are are you know,
and we're complaining about them going up to the next level,
I mean, LaVar, you just said it. I mean Dion
kind of went up to the next level, right, And
how many Jackson State players.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Do you bring with them all the best ones?
Speaker 4 (19:37):
Well, that's that's the line too. There's no there's like
six or seven six. But the problem with that is
is one of them is a son, which you assume
his son's going to go with them too. He's got
another son who I think is probably gonna be coming
as well. And then there's a kicker and a long
snapper And I think I included those my notes too,
(19:58):
which you know, it's like that's kind of part of
that group coming from Jackson State. So it's Look, it's
the reality of the situation. You know, you loved the
NFL to include more HBCUs.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Love is that the isn't the long snaper white? By
the way? Uh? I believe so? Yeah, Jacob polite.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Yeah, I think I included it.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
I believe he is a white dude, so that should
be noted. Well.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Appearances can be misleading too. You know sometimes some people
would think that about some coaches that are.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Out there, like just saying like who in Miami?
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Who you said it?
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Oh? Did I get it?
Speaker 4 (20:42):
I got it?
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Hit it?
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Yeah. Sometimes all I'm saying is this.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
You're talking about that.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Is that would have stunded like after the draft, Yeah,
drafts what we can do. My point is this, though,
is like you know, it's just it's the reality of
this situation. Unless you unless you know, the NFL feels
like those are the best players and those are the
(21:16):
players with a definitive chance of going to the next level.
It's it's they're not gonna do it. Like, no one's
gonna put their job and livelihood on the line to
draft the player that they truly don't think can make
their roster and help them keep their job.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
That's just the truth.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
And it's it's also we're witnessing it right now as
you have what fifty three sixty players in the transfer
portal from Colorado that Dion's moving on from. He's not
putting his livelihood in the hands of those kids either
at Colorado, and he's obviously not putting it in a
bunch of the hands of the kids at Jackson State,
(21:53):
because he's only put it really in what five or
six or you know, seven, depending on how you want
to count that number. I mean, that's just the truth.
Is like we can complain about inclusiveness in at the NFL,
but when it comes down to players, like it's cutthroat.
It's a meritocracy. Like that's how it works. You're either
(22:13):
good enough or you're not. And it doesn't matter what
your background is or anything else. Like people just trying
to win and try to keep their job. So it's
a much more difficult conversation. But I mean, look, I
can understand his frustration with it. But at the same time,
I mean, I feel like he's well aware of given
the circumstance he's in right now at Colorado.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Do you what do you think Dion's priority is winning
games or raising awareness winning because it feels like there's
a lot of noise and I feel.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Like his priority there's two priorities for him, him to
win and for Shador to win. Those are the two priorities.
I mean, for him and Chaudor to win. Yeah, like
that's it, Like nothing else is bigger than that in
my opinion. That's in my opinion. And you got to
add nepotism to it too, not just meritocracy. It's there's
(23:04):
nepotism involved. There are a lot of Like it's so interesting.
You'll see a team full of all these four star,
five star, three star guys, and then you'll see a
coach's son on the team that there's no way your
kids should be there. If it's based off of the
(23:24):
standards of the other guys that you're recruiting and the
guys that you're passing on, that guy shouldn't even be there.
Nepotism plays a major role too. Cronyism plays a major
role too. Like guys will be there and be on
roster on a team and it's because of a relationship,
purely because of a relationship, not because of how good
(23:45):
they are. Now they may not play much. They might
be a special teamers or somebody that they you know,
he's a scout team type of guy, but he's on
the team and he's a part of the experience, and
he shud and be And I've seen that plenty of times.
I've seen that play out in All Star games. I've
(24:05):
seen it play out in scholarship deals. I've seen it
play out quite It happens everywhere. I mean even with coaching.
Even with coaching, and you look at how many coaches
in the history of coaching, and like the National Football
League and colleges, most of these guys bring their kids
with them.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
I mean, I think Bill Belichick's kids have earned those opportunities.
It's way more than him.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I mean, there's a very long list of people that
bring their kids to their jobs.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
It's like, well, what did they ever do?
Speaker 1 (24:37):
They ain't really do anything, but they've been around to
coach their entire life, and so they're coaching and we're
going to show them how to coach. I mean, so
sometimes there's an epotism involved as well.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Isn't that a byproduct though of just trust? I mean,
if you can't trust family, like who can you trust?
And I know there's everyone said, oh, I don't get
in business with family, but it's also hard to get
in business with other people. And look, there's there's there's
difficult roads on both sides of it. You know, it's
obviously easier to fire someone if they're not performing up
to task or if they do do something wrong right
(25:11):
there they got stealing from you in a family business
or something else or whatever the case is. I know
we're talking football here, so that probably doesn't apply. But
you know the other side is all right, it makes
it a little harder to fire a family member, you know,
if you hire a house but there is that immediate
sense of trust, there is that immediate sense of you know,
I know this person, I know how they're motivated, I
(25:33):
know you know their strengths and weaknesses. When you bring
someone on man, you might see their resume and you
might be able to interview and have a feeling about them,
but you really don't know until you get six to
twelve months into that job. You start to really learn
who they are when you're working with them every day.
So I just I feel like it's it's tough, it's
kind of you know, I could see, you know why
people liked it, you know, exercise nepotism to keep it
(25:55):
in the family, and I can see why people don't.
And I think both paths can work, and both past
can fail, you know, in an incredible fashion.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I also wonder how many coaches when time is chewed
up by the job and having to be at the
office and on the practice field and be at games
you've heard of they want to make time. And you've
seen guys lose their kids that stuff. That's their family
time though, So I'd rather have my coach. I would
rather have my son coach with me if that's going
(26:26):
to be our father son time, and that's the best
I can deal with guys.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
I was getting arrested, getting in trouble, guys taking their
own lives. Like I mean, we've seen this happen with
with coaches, you know, listen for right or for wrong.
I don't know what's right or what's wrong. I know this,
I'm building a business, and in the end, I tell
my kids all the time you go to school, you
get an education, and when you go to get your education,
(26:51):
you may want to think about our family business and
how you can fit and incorporate into what it is
and into what it is that I've made and what
I've built. Like, I didn't want to just be the
dad that left you trust you know, trust funds because
I was able to play well in the league, which
(27:13):
is ultimately very good. You know, their educations would be
paid for. But but with that being said, I wanted
to lead more of a legacy. So I don't have
a problem with putting yourself in a position to advance
your family, not one bit. I'm just saying, if there's
an observation that's something that is pretty prevalent in sports.
(27:35):
I don't know about all sports all the way across
the board, because I don't pay attention to all of
them like that, but it's definitely prevalent in football for certain.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Yeah, and I think the problem in a lot of
other sports is that there's a lot of artificial components
to it. You know, that's never in football. Is that
a little bit more authentic.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
I'll tell you what, When you want it authentic, you
wanted to be real. And that goes for grads too.
You know what, because thirty two percent of artificial turf
surfaces are creating non contact knee injuries. American grass sea
company Pennington, well they're on a mission to ban turf
fields jall, and they want you to do the hashtag
flip the turf movement. So go to Pennington dot com

Oh really, no issues.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
No, I had my Long Islands. I sent them to y'all.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Yeah, LeVar Islands, to the LaVar Islands.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Yeah, the LaVar Islands. We're going down the only reason
why I still have this belly, man, Like I'm close.
I'm close, to get rid of it. But them LeVar Islands,
Many they you know, they hit me on Sundays. I
don't think so. I'm getting there though. I won't say
O beast anymore. I'm not obest anymore.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
I'm not.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
I'm not. I'm not at the end of that. Yeah,
O beast, but you are a beast. I kind of
put like a D on it, but kind of sounds.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
Like a T. Yeah, but it actually makes it so
bad ass.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Yeah, O Beest, O Beast. Yeah, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
I'm not big like I was once before. I've started
to really really see see the change. But a long
LeVar Allen's you know, it's my weakness. Yeah, it's a
place there you go. It is a place. It's a
drink stick city is a place.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Hey, Jonas, what are you.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
Going to have an ir story?
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Never?
Speaker 4 (31:43):
You never bring anything to the table.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Well, you know, I mean, I'm not really wanted to
talk about myself, you know, I kind of you know,
that's you know, that's why the Saturday show isn't named
after me or anything like that. So that's why I'm
not really into that whole hyping myself up. I do
have an an I R From this weekend though, I
did realize, so me going over to the in laws
for any of their family get togethers, and they've got
(32:06):
to They've got a party literally every weekend. Every weekend
it's somebody's birthday. Every weekend it's somebody's Uh, they've either
got a kinsignata or this past weekend it was a
first communion. Like every single weekend there's some festivity, there's
some party. But I do realize the days of me
being able to have a beer with my son at
(32:27):
these parties is over. Like it's just not happening because
I'm chasing him around the entire time he wants to.
You may have a sum with him in your hands,
like in your lappers. Yeah, So I just I don't like.
Everyone keeps offering me a beer and I'm like, I
can't because I'm literally chasing around the bear on your hand.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Are you a helicopter dad?
Speaker 2 (32:47):
So it sounds like, are you a helicopter dad? Right now?
It sounds but he likes to he likes to grab
extension chords out that are plugged. It sounds like you're
making excuse he's a helicopter dad. He'll run out through
the front door. And h oh, he ran outside traffic
outside there's traffic. There's traffic, like there's a freeway right
(33:09):
outside the door, but there's you know, cars going by,
and and I want to be saved. I will say,
I am.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
I am the parent that sits there and judges other
parents that let their kids do stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Oh yeah, I am I am that. I am very
much that person.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Will I will sit there and judge you all the way,
like you are such a poor parent for letting your
kid walk near that that that plug plugged in, you know, deal.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
And and grab it and yeah, and kids just like
right moving right near to But he's.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Got to learn somehow, all right, I mean let her
fall in fall in? What if he does?
Speaker 2 (33:49):
What do you mean, no, what if he falls in? Well,
first I would be judging you, Q.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
I'm telling you, don't ever let me around here and
your kids be near something that they could get hurt
or something.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
And you're it's like, oh, yeah, you know, so I
don't judge your parents to each their own.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
I will judge my own children though we have. We
have parented them to the point where like they know,
when there's someone else's place somewhere, there and they act
a certain way. They get a look and they know
exactly what that look means. And it like to the
point now where my oldest is the most sensitive.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
But how but how old are they?
Speaker 4 (34:23):
My oldest going to be seven?
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Yeah, that's big, they're big. How old you're right? Two?
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:28):
See nah?
Speaker 4 (34:30):
First off, he's two and wedn'sday turning three next March.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Chops. Just just.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Because our three year old's been like this for a
little while. Now, all right, she's she knows, she gets it.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
I'll be judging, Like I'm a judger. If you let
your kids crawl on the ground and airports and stuff
like that, I judge you, like, pick your kid up.
You know how many germs are on that surface. I
mean that's building up your immune syst Some would say,
I just I don't know, I'm a judger. Maybe I'm
wrong for that, but I judge. Like if I saw
(35:07):
you helicoptering that way, Jonas, depending on the severity level
of what could possibly happen, I would be like, oh, Jonas,
you're a good dad, so you've come full circle. I'd
be like, you're a good dad, Jonas. Thank you were
judging it for being a helicopter dad. Now you're back
on the other side.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
But let's be clear.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
If I look at that front door, and I look
out the front door and I see people like pedaling
their big wheels down the street, and Jonas said this
was a main freeway that was his kid was walking towards,
then I'm judging Jonas, like you're soft and you're going
to make your kids.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
Oh no, I would let him go do his thing, like,
it's fine.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
If there's a real content, If that busy street is
really a busy street and it's not like kids playing
on the street and stuff like that, and you're like
overblowing it, then that's different because helicopter parents do overblow
stuff all the way, all the way. Yeah, you sound
like a helicopter here. I mean, but there's a possibility
you're just a protective p Yeah. I just don't want
(36:03):
my kid walking and do it. Somebody's bumper kept you
from drinking your beer though, It's all, but.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
I can't.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
I can't focus, weird, man. I just I want to
want to be able to pay attention to the kids.
So it's fine.
Speaker 4 (36:17):
I will admit this. When you are watching your kid
and other adults who have kids and they try to
have like a conversation with you. It's it's worthless, it's
a waste time. Like I'm looking at you, but I'm
not listening to a thing you're saying because I'm peripherally
making strike and count all my kids.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
There's a pit bull in one corner of the yard
and a fire pit in the other.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Yeah, just like I'm not like, you can keep talking
to me. I'm not listening to the word you say.
It's no disrespect. I just put my kid's livelihood over
whatever you're saying to me right now in this very shallow,
like you know, service level conversation. We're not curing cancer
with this conversation. So I'm gonna go ahead and just
pay attention to my kids. Yeah, that's raw, mate, go
(37:02):
to the cookout stuff. It's like, all right, I'm gonna
go hang around and make sure I know all my
kids are here.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
So, by the way, lead to lap set. He's got
a couple of I rs from this past weekend. Yeah, dude,
I got I got a couple.
Speaker 7 (37:13):
Actually, Yeah, I learned the hard way that crocs shrink
My my packers, crocs that I hold dearly, they shrink
and stuff. No, if you can put him in the
hot car in the sun, they shrink a couple Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
What what doesn't the heat expand things?
Speaker 1 (37:29):
You know?
Speaker 7 (37:29):
Funny enough, you can expand them back. I've been researching this.
You could put him in boiling hot water to help
them expand, or use a hair dryer.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
I'm going to be the same. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
So the hot sun in a car they shrink, but
you put him in boiling water they expand exactly.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
It's really weird.
Speaker 7 (37:46):
Yeah, I'm reading up on this. It's you would think
the opposite. But something doesn't add up here.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
We'll just give him the todd he'll figure it out.
I'm upset.
Speaker 7 (37:54):
I'm scared to tell him because he's the one who
gave him to me.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
He's scared to tell him. Wow.
Speaker 7 (38:00):
Then I also got a flat tire. Yeah, I got
it because I live next to a building that's being
built up and there's always nails on them.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
You yeah, you know.
Speaker 7 (38:09):
It is the third flat tire I've had.
Speaker 4 (38:12):
I want to create an for any like those construction crews,
because that's what happens, Like those guys are so negligent
with the nails. I'm going to create a policy so
someone like Lee can go get their tire change for free,
that somebody, those holes have to pay for it.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Somebody's genre is to clean up, Like that's their jobs job,
Like they should have to.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
Take out an insurance policy where if you get an
you get a punctured tire around there you can prove
it should get a free tire.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
Agree, Thank God for tire Agree exactly.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
Maybe we'll do a tire Act Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
Big time.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
