Saying he initially had agreed to a four game suspension
for what I guess the NCAA is trying to provide
somewhat of an explanation for this process and saying this
wasn't over at cheeseburger, all right, And I will say
this like we might be guilty of potentially downplaying what

some of the violations may have been back in twenty twenty,
because that's all the information that we had had at
that point, And the NCAA has basically come out and said, look,
this is much more serious than.

Buying a recruit a cheeseburger.

These were violations that were committed off campus. Recruiting during COVID,
and clearly the NCAA is trying to set up some
sort of guardrails in order to.

Make sure this sort of thing isn't happening. Now.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
The problem is he was given a four game suspension,
that was the agreement, and now they find themselves in
a position where it could be more, it could be less,
but we won't know until twenty twenty four. And I
think the only complaint really at a hardboss camp, which
Tom Mahers is acting as his attorney at this point,
is the fact that the NCAA is pushing out this

report and kind of leaking out that hey, it was
more than just a cheeseburger to basically defend their position
and not accepting this four game suspension for Jim Harbaugh.
And meanwhile, Jim Harbaugh in his camp are not allowed
to say anything since technically this is an ongoing investigation
slash negotiation over what potential will be the punishment.

So that now the question becomes why does the n
c a A or how does the NCAAA have the
right to put that information out there, you know, and
and basically put their side well againssed, they shouldn't be
able to. They shouldn't be able to. That's yeah, they
shouldn't be able to. But I don't think this is
going to to end well. I think the fact that

it's being being held open or being reopened, or however
it's being framed, it's it's got to be worse. It's
they're not going to I don't feel like they're going
to come back and be like, Okay, it's four game.
This was a little bit too too harsh of a penalty,
like they're saying this is not over just and like
you said, you there, there's there. There's probably was a

downplaying of the severity of what was taking place. I mean,
if you think about it, it's airly simular and and
what it sounds like to what happened at Arizona State.
It all started with talking about something that took place
buying burgers in and buying food and in the food court.

But if there's more to it, and there's more coming out,
I think what makes this of a serious a more
serious situation is the fact that Jim Harball didn't cooperate,
and I think that that that may turn up the
level of intensity of how this is approached, because all
he needed to do was cooperate with with the investigation.

You get the investigation over with and done, and and
then you move on from it. You accept your penalty
and you keep it moving. But the fact that he didn't,
he didn't cooperate, and and there's seemingly more or information
that isn't good, information that that's connected to what's going
on and what's taking place, and it's like, okay, is
four games really is that enough? And then now you

start to think like, okay, well, Arizona State, like as
I used as an example, they were they were, they
weren't very good, and so it led to pressure to
probably dismiss the coach. Does this, does this? Does this?
I mean, this is a really good Michigan team coming
into the season. Does this create a crack a fracture

where they could have the type of season where you
had the conversation about Jim Harbaugh in that manner? No, yeah,
I ain't think so. I mean they're they're about to
put it up, put it out there though.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yeah, I don't see that being the case.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
So their schedule sets up well, I mean their toughest
game is really going to be in Happy Valley.

Yeah, they host Ohio State.

I mean, that would be a tough game too, But
when you're looking at their schedule, it's set up really
well for them to run the table. I think if
you're a Michigan fan, the only thing that you don't
like about this is the potential for it to be
worse after the season. As far as his punishment, and
this year, if you looked at the four game, you know,
the four games he was going to miss, it was
three non confident Conference opponents, which I will I will

tell this story. So I've been I've been doing a
bunch of charity stuff over the past probably seventy two
hours now. So, first was playing in a golf event
that helps support scholarships at a golf club that I
belonged to. Then I was helping out my my sister
and my brother in law's foundation, Hawks Locks. They have

an awesome event, a seventies party that helps with cancer research.
So saw you talk about linebacker, Saw Bobby Carpenter, saw
Anthony Schlegel, saw a bunch of buck guys who were
at that event.

He and then we I had a beer pong event yesterday,
which that's the that's the one I think LeVar would
like to.

And then today is the annual golf outing. But I
bring this up because when I was playing in the
golf deal man, this guy we start talking about ECU
because ECU is one of the teams that Michigan plays
during the non conference schedule, and this gentleman happened to
play golfer and he may have had a few too

many drinks.

I'll just leave it at that. But he's like, man,
I'll tell you what.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
The pirates are gonna come in there to shock the world.
They're gonna shock the world. They're gonna beat them Wolverines. Now,
I'm telling you now seen it too many times. He's
like what He's like, you remember back when Virginia Tech
went in there and beat them boys at Ohio State.

He's like, what happened that next week? I was like,
I honestly, I can't recall.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
It was like ECU went and beat them, And so
he was he's trying to convince me that I thirty
four and a half point Underdog Jonas checked them out,
it's gonna it's gonna beat Michigan. And then I started
to kind of like, I kind of started to get
him going. I was like, you know, I was like,
maybe you're onto something here. You know, maybe they overhooke ECU,

maybe they're worried about you know, potentially some of their
teams down the road.

Jim Harbaugh's not going to be there.

We started getting into all this, and and then the
news broke about this, about the suspension and how it
basically is gonna be kicked down the road to twenty
twenty four. I was thinking to myself, well, if you
could have made the case for why Michigan could you know,
stumble or get off to a bad start or something
that basic, you would have been it right. But now
you don't even have the opportunity to do that. So

to my man, Jim Manos, who at it ain't gonna happen, man,
I love you. Hey, they might cover thirty four and
a half points is a lot of points they might cover.

They might cover up to thirty five.

I doubt it. I doubt they'll cover. Yeah, it's just
by the way, you know, I said, no go. I
love the fact that you're this passionate about it. He was,
He's part of the table. He said, come on, now,
come on now. Coming in there shocked the world.

I'm like, all right, well, supporters are supporters. That's what's amazing.

You know, you get that in college football. You know
they're already stoked about.

It and it could happen. I remember when Appalachian Appalachian
State did that to to Michigan, shocked the world. But
who was on that team? I think Dexter Cokeley was
on Appalachian State that year. Now, he couldn't have been.
He's older than that. Yeahs older than that. After that
was a year after I think I left college. Yeah,

was a money Edwards on that team?

a crazy I remember. In fact, I'm actually super old
because I was retired when that happened. When that happened, yeah,
I remember where I was at when that happened. I
was in Annapolis, Naptown, and I was I was partying. Yeah,
I was still partying too, Like I think I was

half fried, definitely fried. I was day drinking straight faded,
you know. Exactly where I was. I forget I want
to call it Sharkys. I think I was at place
called Sharkis. It sounds a good place, Oh bro, I was.

It was like a big ass bar with like multiple
different places.

You told someone, Hey, I'm gonad to Sharkis, you're basically

like we made the point East Carolina UNLV bowling Green Rutgers.
Just get it over with. And how how would the
NCAA come back afterwards and say, all right, now we're
gonna add on more games. What did he do and
essentially more games? God, what did he say to them

that got them so pissy over his horrorball? Come on,
you know he Oh he's got away rubbing you.

I would love to know what he said, Like if
there was a if there was a bottle, the gen inside,
Jim Harball cannot rub that thing the right way to
get it. I'm just saying, like if Jim Harball found
the bottle, like the genie would just stand inside that
day like coming out.

Like they might have liked this rope and they might
have had an agreement and Harball said, hey, thanks guys,
sorry about all the mess here, and I'll take you
out for a cheeseburger and then hung up, and they said,
screw this guy, No, we're not accepted.

He might have sent them. He might have sent them
some prepackaged burgers to cook.

You know what's tough, honestly in this whole scenario is
you come across as a coach, and I know, LeVar,
you can probably speak to this. There are some kids
that are being recruited that have like dire needs, I
mean for real, like they come from bad backgrounds or
they don't have much and there are times when you'll
get coaches who are just trying to help the kid

out or just trying you know what I'm saying, Like,
there's not I know, people always want to think that
coaches have all this intent and everything they do. There
are some times when a coach is just trying to
do something nice for a young man, or do something
nice for a family that's.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
In need at that moment.

It's a great point. It's a great like.
Speaker 5 (12:32):
I mean, I'm sure you've come across the LeVar all
the time.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
I mean, I've had I've had kids in my home.
You know, I take kids in. I've taken kids in
because of how how bad you know, or or how
you know, just difficult that the situation could be just
just to get a meal. So you see a kid,
he's on a visit or whatever. It's like, yeah, the
kid is a high profile kid, but you're like, man,

the kid's hungry, Like you know, you get a meal,
Like you know, you sitting there and it's like, look,
we'd only be here if y'all pay.

For us to be here, right, Like they're not making it.
We're not making it.

We're not making it any other way, Like you there's
stories of hearing of parents that that stay in the
dorm rooms. You know, they find a way to get
to where their kid is playing, and they stay in
the dorm rooms with their kids, man, because they don't
have enough money.

When I first was started going up to Notre Dame,
my my buddy, my best man in my wedding, best
friend growing up, his oldest brother was in RTC.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
We would all meaning him.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
He'd sleep up in the bed, his dad, me and
and my and my buddy who was the brother. We'd
all sleep on this dorm room floor. Like that's when
we would go up to South Bed. When I was
in like in junior high, we all just crashed in
this little small dorm room floor in Stanford Hall. And
I remember thinking myself, like it was one of the
worst nights of sleep you ever got that And then
(13:57):
you're you're going into like the communal showers and stuff
in the dorm and all that.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
But that was the experience, and like it was to me.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
You didn't know any different, But that was how like
you didn't have to pay for a hotel for you know,
game weekend because it is a three night minimum. Like
people don't understand how expensive it is for some of
these families that have.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Recruits to travel around.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
It's it's a I mean, it's incredibly expensive because not
if they're not all paid for, some of them are
unofficial visits because you can't you can't see every school now,
at least back then. Now it's a little different, they've
changed some of those rules. But it didn't used to
be like that, especially not back during the COVID.

Year, right, I mean, was it a better night's sleep
or worse night sleep than when you were in Bolivia?
Speaker 1 (14:40):
And that like coleman t you.

Were sleeping in back in the day you told us
that story and that people were walking in and out
and you found out where you were staying was was
maybe different than what the expectation was.

Maybe people were talking Bolivia.

It was like something you were staying over in some
foreign coast.

Was down in the Dominican public. All right. This We
were in a tent and by the way, like it
was no this all right, all right, all right.

First off, I don't know why I think we originally
stayed in a hostel, which I thought that the conditions
were perfectly fine, Like we weren't like room with other people.
We all like shared like the men shared a room,
the women shared like it wasn't a bad deal. For
whatever reason, that was not up to the standards of
one individual.

Wife of the trip.

Okay, So next thing I know, we're going to this
place that did at least from the outside, at least
on the road.

I was like, Oh, this seems to be nicer.

Although upon check in, what I wasn't like keen to
was the fact that you got a lot of different,
like sexual things that.
Speaker 5 (15:46):
You normally don't get a check in. I mean, there
were all sorts.

Of Jonas would have been able to guide you through that.
He would have helped you navigate that.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
I'm just saying like, at that point time my life,
I never went to a hotel where they gave you
other stuff. And then as I'm going to like we're
driving our car, dropping off of each of the different units,
I'm walking in like.

This is not where I want to be staying.

Why is the nightstand vibrating?

I mean there were it was like mirrors everywhere it was.
It was neon lit, it was and I was just like, oh, God,
like this is this was me for certain activity. Is
that a hard.

There's like ants running through the floor. I like, I
swear to God, I literally took and I was like,
are the towels even clean? And even the shower. The
shower was like this weird. It had different like all
sorts of different functionality. But I was looking at it
thinking like I don't even want to like shower.

Did you have a comforter on your bed?
Speaker 5 (16:47):
Bro? I view, no chance, no chance.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
You know what the hard thing was with the whole
black light is like the only thing you could have
shined on I was the big beau is. Everything else
was mirrors, like it was mad to be like showcase
whatever was happening on that bed. Hey, I remember, I
swear to you. I slept maybe like an hour and
a half that night. There was like two different streams
of ants that had like made a living in there.

And I like taking these towels. I was like, they
were not the type of towels that were like you
could use as Captain America shield, if you know what
I mean.

Yeah, I remember that you said your boy would have
been right at home there.

He might have been using the one next door, for
all I know.

When you put these sorts of like stats in the context,
I don't know if it leads you to think something
or out or not. But like Derek Carr is thrown
for over thirty two hundred yards every single season. Okay,

who's not thrown over that. Just think about that for

a second, Like when you start looking at like his numbers,
like he has put in.

Some good year's good performances. I know Berto's not here
to bash him, but like I'm just saying, man, I'm
just saying, like even an MVP year like it he
tries didn't happen for one quarterback.

I'm just saying, like he is, I think gonna be
able to give them a shot of making a run
in an NFC that outside of Philly, outside of San Francisco,
I think we look at and say it's pretty wide
open and in a division that not many people and
especially way the Panthers looked that was not the not

that we should read too much in the preseason, but still,
I mean, you have to be looking at it, saying
like they should be the odds on favorite with Derek
Carr if he can play the way he's capable of.

And has over the course of his career. I mean,
he's thrown for he had a streak over what for
the last five years he's thrown for over four thousand yards, has.

Been much maligned.

And I would also say this, outside of Jalen Hurts,
what other quarterback in the NFC are you for sure
taking ahead of Derek Carr?

They'd been pretty I mean I think Cousins has been
more prolific than Derek Carr.

other you know, team, and he's in a new place.

just I wonder how far the Saints can go with
a player who I think still has a lot of
good football left in him.

and and and those type of quarterbacks. So I mean,
when you think about it, they should be Listen. I'm
with you on this. I agree with you that it
has flown under the radar. But I just think that again,
as I started off with, I just think he's for
some strange reason, he has been an egy, easy egy.

He's been an easy target to create the size and
malign as as the quarterback of the Raiders, and and
I don't know that that's because they didn't get further
than what they were able to get while he was
the QB. I really don't know specifically why he's been
under such like seemingly fire in terms of how he

performs and what he gets done. But you know, didn't.
Davonte just had like a record setting season with with
with car in Las Vegas. It's great. I had a
great year. So I think it's under under the radar,
but it still remains to be seen. Can he do
it in the regular season. And I think that that's

going to be the biggest question, Like for me looking
at New Orleans, like, yeah, they look good, even jamis
looked pretty good. You know, this is a this is
a team that has a ton of potential and and listen,
the South is wide open and the NFC is is
kind of wide open outside of the Eagles, So I mean,
let it ride. I certainly would would have more to
(28:04):
say about it outside of what has been said, because
the potential is there for him to have one of
those types of seasons and he has a defense to
go with it, and not such a strong division to
have to navigate.

It's almost like once Tom Brady left the NFC South,
everyone just sort of maybe lost interest, and they're the
odds on favorite to win that division. Atlanta comes in
number two, followed by the Panthers and then the Buccaneers
who are in that order. So that's the projected order
of finish according to the gambling market, it is two pros.

twenty four. New Saints quarterback Derek Carr six to eight,
passing seventy yards, one touchdown, no interceptions. Patrick Mahomes did

start for Kansas City. He played one series, two for two,
passing fifteen yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions. Raiders roll over

having lunch and my son was getting a little cranky.

going to drop my sister in law son back off

at home, and I showed him that trick. You know,
the trick where you pretend like you put a pen
or something in your nose and then to make it
come out of your ear. It's like you just you
move your hand a certain way. Well, i'll show you
during the break. Well, I was getting ready to show
him how to do it, because it was kind of
freaked out and he thought I did it for and
I was going to show him how the trick is done.

And then in the process of getting ready to show him,
the waiter came over and so I wasn't paying attention
to him, and he went ahead and tried to do
the trick by himself and stuck a cran in his
nose and started pouring blood.

Oh no, I'm like, that's horrible.

My wife says, yeah, you can't do that. I said, well,
I was getting ready to blame the waiter. He's the
one who cut me off before I could give strict
instructions on how this could be done. So five year
old bloody nose and it was a little bit of
an issue there at a restaurant.

after a while of me not being able to breathe,
I had it just started coming out.

Yeah, it was coming out for at least again. It
hurt too, like my chest was hurting like it hurt.
And then I felt good again. But that was my
that was my hour. Like I just can't. I just
can't eat a lot anymore. Like I used to be able.
I couldn't finish a I had a five guys burger yesterday,
couldn't like, couldn't finish it. I couldn't finish the bird.
It's good.

can't even eat a pee and and feel like you

muscle that that is poking out and continuing to say

what the hell's happening with Jim Harbaugh? Is he getting
suspended four games? Or you're not getting suspended four games?

Well, I would simplify this by just.

Saying he initially had agreed to a four game suspension
for what I guess the NCAA is trying to provide
somewhat of an explanation for this process and saying this
wasn't over at cheeseburger, all right, And I will say
this like we might be guilty of potentially downplaying what

some of the violations may have been back in twenty twenty,
because that's all the information that we had had at
that point, And the NCAA has basically come out and said, look,
this is much more serious than.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
Buying a recruit a cheeseburger.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
These were violations that were committed off campus. Recruiting during COVID,
and clearly the NCAA is trying to set up some
sort of guardrails in order to.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Make sure this sort of thing isn't happening. Now.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
The problem is he was given a four game suspension,
that was the agreement, and now they find themselves in
a position where it could be more, it could be less,
but we won't know until twenty twenty four. And I
think the only complaint really at a hardboss camp, which
Tom Mahers is acting as his attorney at this point,
is the fact that the NCAA is pushing out this
(02:53):
report and kind of leaking out that hey, it was
more than just a cheeseburger to basically defend their position
and not accepting this four game suspension for Jim Harbaugh.
And meanwhile, Jim Harbaugh in his camp are not allowed
to say anything since technically this is an ongoing investigation
slash negotiation over what potential will be the punishment.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
So that now the question becomes why does the n
c a A or how does the NCAAA have the
right to put that information out there, you know, and
and basically put their side well againssed, they shouldn't be
able to. They shouldn't be able to. That's yeah, they
shouldn't be able to. But I don't think this is
going to to end well. I think the fact that
(03:40):
it's being being held open or being reopened, or however
it's being framed, it's it's got to be worse. It's
they're not going to I don't feel like they're going
to come back and be like, Okay, it's four game.
This was a little bit too too harsh of a penalty,
like they're saying this is not over just and like
you said, you there, there's there. There's probably was a
(04:04):
downplaying of the severity of what was taking place. I mean,
if you think about it, it's airly simular and and
what it sounds like to what happened at Arizona State.
It all started with talking about something that took place
buying burgers in and buying food and in the food court.
(04:24):
But if there's more to it, and there's more coming out,
I think what makes this of a serious a more
serious situation is the fact that Jim Harball didn't cooperate,
and I think that that that may turn up the
level of intensity of how this is approached, because all
he needed to do was cooperate with with the investigation.
(04:48):
You get the investigation over with and done, and and
then you move on from it. You accept your penalty
and you keep it moving. But the fact that he didn't,
he didn't cooperate, and and there's seemingly more or information
that isn't good, information that that's connected to what's going
on and what's taking place, and it's like, okay, is
four games really is that enough? And then now you
(05:11):
start to think like, okay, well, Arizona State, like as
I used as an example, they were they were, they
weren't very good, and so it led to pressure to
probably dismiss the coach. Does this, does this? Does this?
I mean, this is a really good Michigan team coming
into the season. Does this create a crack a fracture
(05:33):
where they could have the type of season where you
had the conversation about Jim Harbaugh in that manner? No, yeah,
I ain't think so. I mean they're they're about to
put it up, put it out there though.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yeah, I don't see that being the case.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
So their schedule sets up well, I mean their toughest
game is really going to be in Happy Valley.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
Yeah, they host Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
I mean, that would be a tough game too, But
when you're looking at their schedule, it's set up really
well for them to run the table. I think if
you're a Michigan fan, the only thing that you don't
like about this is the potential for it to be
worse after the season. As far as his punishment, and
this year, if you looked at the four game, you know,
the four games he was going to miss, it was
three non confident Conference opponents, which I will I will
(06:16):
tell this story. So I've been I've been doing a
bunch of charity stuff over the past probably seventy two
hours now. So, first was playing in a golf event
that helps support scholarships at a golf club that I
belonged to. Then I was helping out my my sister
and my brother in law's foundation, Hawks Locks. They have
(06:37):
an awesome event, a seventies party that helps with cancer research.
So saw you talk about linebacker, Saw Bobby Carpenter, saw
Anthony Schlegel, saw a bunch of buck guys who were
at that event.

Yes he is. He looked like alb Yes he does.

He and then we I had a beer pong event yesterday,
which that's the that's the one I think LeVar would

I honestly, I can't recall.

It was like ECU went and beat them, And so
he was he's trying to convince me that I thirty
four and a half point Underdog Jonas checked them out,

to kind of like, I kind of started to get
him going. I was like, you know, I was like,
maybe you're onto something here. You know, maybe they overhooke ECU,

maybe they're worried about you know, potentially some of their
teams down the road.

Jim Harbaugh's not going to be there.

We started getting into all this, and and then the
news broke about this, about the suspension and how it
basically is gonna be kicked down the road to twenty
twenty four. I was thinking to myself, well, if you
could have made the case for why Michigan could you know,
stumble or get off to a bad start or something
that basic, you would have been it right. But now
you don't even have the opportunity to do that. So

to my man, Jim Manos, who at it ain't gonna happen, man,
I love you. Hey, they might cover thirty four and
a half points is a lot of points they might cover.

They might cover up to thirty five.

I doubt it. I doubt they'll cover. Yeah, it's just
by the way, you know, I said, no go. I
love the fact that you're this passionate about it. He was,

who was on that team? I think Dexter Cokeley was

coaches have all this intent and everything they do. There
are some times when a coach is just trying to
do something nice for a young man, or do something
nice for a family that's.

When I first was started going up to Notre Dame,
my my buddy, my best man in my wedding, best
friend growing up, his oldest brother was in RTC.

We would all meaning him.

He'd sleep up in the bed, his dad, me and
and my and my buddy who was the brother. We'd
all sleep on this dorm room floor. Like that's when
we would go up to South Bed. When I was
in like in junior high, we all just crashed in
this little small dorm room floor in Stanford Hall. And
I remember thinking myself, like it was one of the
worst nights of sleep you ever got that And then

you're you're going into like the communal showers and stuff
in the dorm and all that.

But that was the experience, and like it was to me.

You didn't know any different, But that was how like
you didn't have to pay for a hotel for you know,
game weekend because it is a three night minimum. Like
people don't understand how expensive it is for some of
these families that have.

Recruits to travel around.

It's it's a I mean, it's incredibly expensive because not
if they're not all paid for, some of them are
unofficial visits because you can't you can't see every school now,
at least back then. Now it's a little different, they've
changed some of those rules. But it didn't used to
be like that, especially not back during the COVID.

Year, right, I mean, was it a better night's sleep
or worse night sleep than when you were in Bolivia?

were perfectly fine, Like we weren't like room with other people.
We all like shared like the men shared a room,
the women shared like it wasn't a bad deal. For

Okay, So next thing I know, we're going to this
place that did at least from the outside, at least
on the road.

was the fact that you got a lot of different,
like sexual things that.

I'm just saying like, at that point time my life,
I never went to a hotel where they gave you
other stuff. And then as I'm going to like we're
driving our car, dropping off of each of the different units,

I mean there were it was like mirrors everywhere it was.
It was neon lit, it was and I was just like, oh, God,

There's like ants running through the floor. I like, I
swear to God, I literally took and I was like,
are the towels even clean? And even the shower. The
shower was like this weird. It had different like all
sorts of different functionality. But I was looking at it
thinking like I don't even want to like shower.

Did you have a comforter on your bed?

Bro? I view, no chance, no chance.

You know what the hard thing was with the whole
black light is like the only thing you could have
shined on I was the big beau is. Everything else
was mirrors, like it was mad to be like showcase
whatever was happening on that bed. Hey, I remember, I
swear to you. I slept maybe like an hour and
a half that night. There was like two different streams
of ants that had like made a living in there.

And I like taking these towels. I was like, they
were not the type of towels that were like you
could use as Captain America shield, if you know what
I mean.

When you put these sorts of like stats in the context,
I don't know if it leads you to think something
or out or not. But like Derek Carr is thrown
for over thirty two hundred yards every single season. Okay,
there's a former MVP I'm not gonna say his name
who's not thrown over that. Just think about that for

a second, Like when you start looking at like his numbers,
like he has put in.

Some good year's good performances. I know Berto's not here
to bash him, but like I'm just saying, man, I'm
just saying, like even an MVP year like it he
tries didn't happen for one quarterback.

able to give them a shot of making a run
in an NFC that outside of Philly, outside of San Francisco,
I think we look at and say it's pretty wide
open and in a division that not many people and
especially way the Panthers looked that was not the not

I mean, you have to be looking at it, saying
like they should be the odds on favorite with Derek
Carr if he can play the way he's capable of.

And has over the course of his career. I mean,
he's thrown for he had a streak over what for
the last five years he's thrown for over four thousand yards, has.

taking ahead of Derek Carr?

more prolific than Derek Carr.

just I wonder how far the Saints can go with
a player who I think still has a lot of
good football left in him.

and and and those type of quarterbacks. So I mean,
when you think about it, they should be Listen. I'm
with you on this. I agree with you that it
has flown under the radar. But I just think that again,
as I started off with, I just think he's for
some strange reason, he has been an egy, easy egy.

He's been an easy target to create the size and
malign as as the quarterback of the Raiders, and and
I don't know that that's because they didn't get further
than what they were able to get while he was
the QB. I really don't know specifically why he's been
under such like seemingly fire in terms of how he

performs and what he gets done. But you know, didn't.
Davonte just had like a record setting season with with
with car in Las Vegas. It's great. I had a
great year. So I think it's under under the radar,
but it still remains to be seen. Can he do
it in the regular season. And I think that that's

going to be the biggest question, Like for me looking
at New Orleans, like, yeah, they look good, even jamis
looked pretty good. You know, this is a this is
a team that has a ton of potential and and listen,
the South is wide open and the NFC is is
kind of wide open outside of the Eagles, So I mean,
let it ride. I certainly would would have more to

say about it outside of what has been said, because
the potential is there for him to have one of
those types of seasons and he has a defense to
go with it, and not such a strong division to
have to navigate.

It's almost like once Tom Brady left the NFC South,
everyone just sort of maybe lost interest, and they're the
odds on favorite to win that division. Atlanta comes in
number two, followed by the Panthers and then the Buccaneers
who are in that order. So that's the projected order

I gave a five year old a bloody nose wow
on Saturday. Now, let me explain. I was we were
sitting It's my sister in law's son. We were sitting
at lunch and it was coming towards the end of
having lunch and my son was getting a little cranky.
He wanted to go take a nap, and we were
going to drop my sister in law son back off
(33:41):
at home, and I showed him that trick. You know,
the trick where you pretend like you put a pen
or something in your nose and then to make it
come out of your ear. It's like you just you
move your hand a certain way. Well, i'll show you
during the break. Well, I was getting ready to show
him how to do it, because it was kind of
freaked out and he thought I did it for and
I was going to show him how the trick is done.
(34:01):
And then in the process of getting ready to show him,
the waiter came over and so I wasn't paying attention
to him, and he went ahead and tried to do
the trick by himself and stuck a cran in his
nose and started pouring blood.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Oh no, I'm like, that's horrible.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
My wife says, yeah, you can't do that. I said, well,
I was getting ready to blame the waiter. He's the
one who cut me off before I could give strict
instructions on how this could be done. So five year
old bloody nose and it was a little bit of
an issue there at a restaurant.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
So there's my eye r for.
Speaker 5 (34:32):
What are you a magician?
Speaker 3 (34:33):

Speaker 5 (34:33):
All right, David Copperfield, we'll show you.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
I'll show bar during the break. I got something I
want to see it.
Speaker 5 (34:39):
I don't want to see anything.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
I want to see his magic trick. I'm not going
to try it, but I don't want to see it.
If that works, i'll give you mine. Mine was more
of a I ate too much too quickly. Story. I
made some oxtails they were really good, and I made
some matt well. The mashed potato were a team efforts,
(35:01):
so they weren't mine. They were tricious. But the interesting
thing was I mixed them in the crock pot and
it tasted so good. I just kept kept eating. You know,
ever since I've started this health journey, I can't eat
a lot. I can't eat little a lot. I can't
eat a lot anymore. So I'm a shrank So I mean,
(35:26):
I was literally I felt like I couldn't breathe. And
after a while of me not being able to breathe,
I had it just started coming out.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Yeah, it was coming out for at least again. It
hurt too, like my chest was hurting like it hurt.
And then I felt good again. But that was my
that was my hour. Like I just can't. I just
can't eat a lot anymore. Like I used to be able.
I couldn't finish a I had a five guys burger yesterday,
couldn't like, couldn't finish it. I couldn't finish the bird.
It's good.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
Yeah, Yeah, you want to be like Jonas where you
can't even eat a pee and and feel like you
can keep that down.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
I have one at later, I actually have one ab
muscle that that is poking out and continuing to say
hello and telling me that I still thinkure it could
be a hernia.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
I think you even get that checked out.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
I don't know, man, it's where the ab is. It's
where the AB is supposed to be. At least I
don't know, maybe it is. But you know, I did
have that in college and I had to get that,
you know, taken care of. So yeah, I played a
whole I had that like since birth. It was what
they call terminal Yeah, terminal hernia. There you go. Yeah,
(36:37):
it wasn't direct my eye.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
Our story isn't nearly that great.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
I was at a I was at a seventies, you know,
charity party, and I'd put on like a shirt, I
had had some sunglasses, and then I had this wig,
well this wig thing man like the hair kept coming
off the wig.
Speaker 5 (36:59):
I swear to you, I ate probably like two different
bundles of hair.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Yeah, Like it was like hanging over my face and eventually,
like while I was talking, it would just like fall
off and then just go right in my mouth. I
have no idea what that thing's made of, but it
was made in China, so there's a there's a decent
chance like that's it's like rat hair or something that
they used to make that wig.
Speaker 5 (37:22):
I don't think that's some shaggy rats somewhere over there.
But I was like hair ball like it was awful.
But yeah, other than that, it was a great.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
Time now and it was a new wig. It wasn't
a hand me down it it was.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
A new one. Now, you're a real sicko.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
You're a real sicko. You spend one week in Miami,
you come back just yes, some issues about.
Speaker 5 (37:59):

Lady got in my r I think didn't hang out
with Todd or any of the other fellas.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
I was, uh, lockedow are lockedwn He's not free anymore.
Speaker 9 (38:15):
Roy I did get in trouble because I knew I
was going to be hanging out with the family and
the girlfriend all weekend. So I kind of was like
hanging out with Todd midweek, as you know I like
to do. So I was getting it last week.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
But no, I was good.
Speaker 9 (38:28):
I was good this weekend. My dog got out and
made it, made his way, all the way to the
liquor store in back. Hey, he's taking after.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
What do you mean he made it a liquor store,
like the liquor store called you like, Hey, Lee, your
dog's here again.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Lee's dog just hoops up on the counter and says,
can you put it on Lee's tab my last name?
To laugh, We're good here. How far away is the
liquor store?
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Just a block.

He knew all start, he knew where to go.
