you would have won that one?
Speaker 4 (01:54):
Yeah, sure, by the way, lead to lap. Did actually
get down to the race and see that happen in person?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
And how was it? It's awesome?
Speaker 6 (02:02):
Yeah, snuck up right next to the uh finish line
with all the VIPs?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Great time? How did the horse up there?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
I sneak everywhere, Brady?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
How did the other horses do?
Speaker 5 (02:14):
Uh? They?
Speaker 1 (02:16):
You know we picked in any place? The clap I
don't know where Clapton went.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Cares they all finished second?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
I was a little uh having a good time.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Hey, Lee.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
So what were you wearing when you got upstairs where
all the wealthy people and the big wigs were.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
I was wearing the same thing I'm wearing pretty much
right now, which is like what amount of cargo shorts
and uh, short sleeve button up.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
I'm sure that was the dress code there, right.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Man, nobody cared. I was able to walk everywhere. I'm
a man of the people.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Hey, at least big Lebowski.
Speaker 7 (02:56):
Hey, at least I'm housebroken.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Hey, ma'am, No, not on the rug Mann.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Yeah, I took Todd, but uh, I had better access
than he had, so I was able to kind of
like restaud.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Hey, what did I tell you though about San Anita?
That that place is magic if you if you can
get out to a horse racing facility anywhere nearby, and I'm
talking one of these off track betting sites. I'm talking
like an actual horse track, if you can get out there,
it is such a good time. I don't know why
people don't go more. I don't know why I don't
go more?
Speaker 5 (03:37):
Right, why don't you go more? Shun us.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
It's a bit of a hike, but you know, it's
it's a good time to be had. So congrats Lee
Lee got to hang out and hang out with the
wealthy people upstairs.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
And the big Lee balls.
Speaker 6 (03:50):
Yeah, yep, made some money, lost some money.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
My horse was running second in the race. Yeah, what'd
you have? Arabian night or something Crown, Saudi Crown, I
had Arabian Night, Saudi Crown almost won. I was almost there. Yeah,
I was almost there.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Hey, there'll be others, you know.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
We'll have Arabian Night was in the lead at one
point and next next next year to del Mar the
Breeders Cup, which is tremendous.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Not we're there right like we're going gotta be.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
They said at the track that they definitely well, y'all, sniff,
was are we doing? I was wondering that a bit.
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Not like that.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Come on, Yeah, yeah, we didn't piss enough people off
to get kicked out of next year's race, so we'll
probably better.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
They were, really, go hey, Jonas and well, probably.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Would have been hard to mess that one up, though,
you know, no.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
One knew who's affiliated with.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Did you have your credential on Lee?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (05:02):
Oh they did though.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, god, all right, well that's fine.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Of course he kept his credential long. Why not?
Speaker 6 (05:08):
That's Lee? I should have taken everybody's credentials.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
And wait, now that I think about it, Lee, why
don't you come to Kentucky last year?
Speaker 1 (05:16):
I had a funeral last year.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
Oh yeah, that's right. Sorry to bring that up. I'm sorry,
we're just trying to make it to the show. That day,
we almost missed the open. Yeah, was that on that show?
You had to lead us off that show?
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Oh gosh.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Actually what happened was illegally parked some reason. They were
like really concerned about where I was parking at five
thirty am. And then we had a long.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
That this year nobody's even here.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
That's a Breeders Cup tradition of ar.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
They were like, slow down, slow down, slow down. I'm like,
I'm going five miles per hour, sir?
Speaker 5 (05:54):
What had a horse?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
All right?
Speaker 4 (06:01):
So can we talk about yes, and listen, you can
pick a card any car. Because both games were going
down to the wire at the same time, whether it's
the Vikings over the Atlanta Falcons, great game and the
great story that is Josh Dobbs or the Texans Bucks
which turned out.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
To be the game of the day, maybe the game
of the year. And CJ. Stroud, who was on fire.
Baker Mayfield played well, but c J. Stroud stole the
show there. He's been fantastic.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
He's the offensive rookie. Ye it's over. It's what's the odds,
because if there's if there's any way it's plus odds,
which it can't be after yesterday. But even if it's
minus like one twenty, go lay a bunch of money
on it. Yeah, there's no way anyone's gonna beat c J.
Stroud minus five hundred five to one. I still I
still would probably lay that bet. Yeah, I would. I
(06:50):
would load up on that bet. And obviously, again it
stinks because after yesterday it's over and it looks but
like there's there's no one really in competition with him,
because even if for example, B John Robinson hasn't been
used quite as much, Jumior Gibbs has been great the
past couple of weeks, but you know, is Detroit could
continue to use in that way even then, you know,
(07:10):
I just I know there could be a playoff team
in Detroit. Maybe that gives him an edge or you know,
over Houston, depending on what they look like. But he's
not a quarterback.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
The runner us is right now Puka Nakua at plus
six fifty he's got no.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
Which, Yeah, there's no shot. Like I would lay everything
on CJ. If even if he wasn't able to play
like the rest of the season, I think he still
would win it. Wow with that performance, what he did yesterday.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
He's great, man, he was great.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
It's a rookie record four hundred and seventy yards and
five touchdowns. And then the way he did it too
in the end where he had to in order to
bring his team back.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
I mean, if we're being honest, he's been better than
Trevor Lawrence has been this year. I think he's the
best quarterback in that division this year well.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
And I think that's where the conversation of one and
two this year. If you look at Bryce Young and
like I was somebody that I thought Bryce would would
be better or or would be that, you know, the number
one quarterback in this class, I'd Stroud as too. But
the things that Stroud excelled at at Ohio State, his
accuracy is downfield passing in particular, both those translates so
(08:12):
well in the NFL, and it's displaying itself with the
way he's been able to play and connect with Tank Tel.
But Bryce Young probably had the worst game of his
career this past week, and meanwhile c J. Stroud setting
an offensive rookie record, Like that's the tough because those
two are always going to be going to be compared
(08:33):
and on a day like yesterday for Stroud. It was
unfortunately the worst day I think Young probably will have
at least this year as a rookie.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
Tell you what, Baker Mayfield was cooking too. Yep, and
it was. It was a nice duel, it you know,
it was exciting to watch watch them compete. But CJ.
Stroud is he's really good man, he's as he's as
good as advertised. You know. It's I don't know Bryce
yet and Bryce Young, I don't you know, can he
(09:05):
do it? I mean it's it's I think the verdict
that's still not in on that.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
But say this, c J. Stroud might be the best
NFL quarterback in Ohio state history.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Yeah, if you think about it, like what if.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
It's early on, but he's on a track to be
the best they've ever had.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Yeah, I mean, so best Ohio state quarterback.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
I don't know who even would be in the conversation
next to him. Well, I mean personally I would say
Mike tom Zach. But again, you know, now we're just
splitting their success in the league.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
I mean, ar will be the first comes to mind,
but that's just me. I know, you're not from the Midwest.
You don't really know about state.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yeah, just a personal shots here this early in the morning.
Speaker 5 (09:52):
You're not from you're not from the Midwest. You kind
of grew up in the to o and damn. But
c J.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Stroud has been fantastic. In fact, would you how many
quarterbacks would you say, just in the NFL period have
had a better year than c J. Stroud, Like if
you had, if you had to look at it.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Because I mean, if you're making a statistical argument, it's
it's it's gonna be tough because he's played really well.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
He's got one interception on the year. So if we
want to do the box score game, there's that he's exceeded.
I think all expectations for the Houston Texans and what
they've done there and the fact that you know he's
doing what he's done. I also think, you know, Demiico
Ryan's Coach of the Year. That feels like that's that's
where that's headed. Oh yeah, because I don't I don't
know that anybody thought Houston was going to be this
(10:39):
that there clearly you know, they were in a rebuild
mode and they were going to go in another direction.
But they've rebounded nicely and they've got the offensive rookie
of the year, they've got the coach of the year,
and they're in a division where who the hell knows
what's going to happen with Tennessee and then you get
to see this thing play out with Jacksonville moving forward,
It just it feels like Houston's in a really great
(11:00):
spot moving forward and just the way.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
They're not and I bet their defense is playing kind
of decently. I mean, maybe gave up too many points yesterday,
but I thought it was in a head to head
game where a team could have went four and four
or become three and five, you know, seemingly in the
South race to two team races seemingly between Tampa and
(11:26):
New Orleans. I just think that the Texans showed the
ability to be resilient and to be competitive, and it's
something it is something to build on. At eight games in,
is this still considered to be the halfway mark? Or
is nine games now the halfway mark of the season?
Do we say nine? But to be right where they
(11:48):
are right now at five hundred, I mean you'd have
to assume that they're in a favorable position.
Speaker 5 (11:54):
I think technically you have to say at halftime of
the team's eighth game.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Halftime the eighth game, Okay, yeah, all right, well there
you go. That's fair, all right.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Right, or half time makes halftime of their ninth game
at eight, but halftime.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Of the next game, yeah yeah, yeah, how long before
they just make it an even eighteen and we just
get to that.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
Point here over under two and a half years.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
I'll take the under.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
Yeah I would too.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Yeah, it seems like that's where that's gonna go. And
then they'll just add and well, we'll give you another playoff.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
They've got Roger's extension done right, yeap, so that's in place.
Now he just works on, Hey how can I how
can I make these honors more money? I'll just add
another game. Yeah, the players are gonna do anything about it.
They're not going to strike or anything.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
So you mentioned Josh Dobbs and just the phenomenal story
that is Josh Dobbs eight to one to be comeback
Player of the Year. That's probably where that should that
should be headed. But you know there's the demor Hamlin
stuff and everything else to go along with that. Josh
Dobbs spoke yesterday because he was expecting all right, I'm
gonna be the bad quarterback. I just got to Minnesota.
(13:02):
It's been kind of a wild year. You know, I'm
not expecting I'm going to be out there and actually
get any burn time, as Brady Quinn would call it.
And the next thing you know, Jaren Hall goes down
early and in comes Josh Dobbs to save the day
for the Minnesota Vikings. They do it on the road
against the Atlanta Falcons. They get the win. They're now
four and oh since the injury to Justin Jefferson are
(13:24):
the Minnesota Vikings, and here was the brand new Vikings
quarterback Josh Dobbs, just talking about what the day was
like like.
Speaker 8 (13:30):
The communication was awesome, obviously given the circumstance not having
any reps with the guys out there, but the way
they're able to respond communicate to me of how I
can be better. I was able to communicate to them
what I was seeing and from there, man, we were
just able to go out and play good team football.
And so that's what takes every Sunday to a piece
together wins in the NFL. And we keep doing that, Man,
(13:52):
what hood our stroke will be all right?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
So pretty impressive performance by him.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
How difficult was that in the spot Brady for him
to be able to pull that off yesterday game.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
People just don't get it how hard it is to
do what Josh Doabbs is doing. And I'll actually go
as far as saying, I think he's making it hard
on all other quarterbacks because of how well he's been
able to assimilate into the Cardinals, lead them, make them competitive,
win them a football game. And now with the Minnesota Vikings,
(14:22):
it's ridiculous what he's done this year. I mean, I
would put up Hall of famers anyone you want to
talk about in the history of the NFL to do
what he's done and try to find a way of
getting wins and playing as well as he did. I mean,
he won that game for them. It's not like you know,
they're winning and he's kind of managing it. He was
(14:45):
making plays to win that game yesterday for them. He
was making plays to keep Arizona competitive in those games
and score points. Like I mean, he was playing even
well for Arizona. I know the last few weeks he
was there. It wasn't playing his best, but he was
keeping them competitive. And so I just I'm so wowed
(15:07):
by by what he's been able to do. Because every
offense is like speaking a different language, and some languages
are closer in nature to others, right, people who speak
Spanish and Portuguese, there's there's some crossover there. There's a
little more similarities than you know, people who are gonna
speak you know, Mandarin versus Spanish or something like that. Right,
But that's like the fairest comparison you can make is
(15:28):
you're speaking a different language. Like you heard him talk
about communication out there with his teammates. There's the communication
of the play calls, and there's the communication of just
working with the other guys of making sure however they
talk about, you know, changing the protection, changing who the
We would call it the mic identification, right, And what
all you're doing is identifying who the middle linebacker is
(15:49):
because that sets up the pass blocking and run blocking scheme.
But how you go about doing that at the line
of scrimmage in a game is different and varies greatly
between teams. Some teams have center to it, some teams
have this quarterback to it, some teams have both, and
then some teams go about in different ways with the
calls they have. Some will literally point to another player
and go no, no, Mike five to six, ericton Mike
(16:12):
five to six, and then other teams they'll say ringo lucky.
They'll they'll kick it out one so it might have
been LeVar, but then they're gonna kick it out to
the linebacker to the right or the linebacker to the left.
So it's just it's so nuanced, detailed and difficult to
be able to get down when you've got to go
(16:33):
make decisions in two seconds, two and a half seconds.
It's so impressive, man, Like, That's why I'm saying, I
look that the the DeMar Hamblin story is incredible. It's
great as far as comeback Player of the Year, what
Josh Dobbs has done is to me what should win
the award? And if Minnesota makes the playoffs, I don't
(16:54):
know how you couldn't if you're the NFL, I don't
know how you could you could stare that young man
straight face and be like, yeah, we're going to go
a different direction here, or how people could vote otherwise.
It is incredible what he's been able to do on
the field this year. That's what the awards should be about.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
And also it's not like he was playing against the
worst defense in the league. Like Atlanta's got a pretty
good defense. Like their number is like they're not, you know,
a top two team, but like it's not like they're
just a run through, run of the mill. Yeah whatever,
you just you you'll get by them and it'll be
a shootout every week. Like Atlanta is a pretty good defense.
And as you mentioned on the road in that spot,
(17:32):
like it's incredible, man to think that this guy two
weeks before the season was in Cleveland, and just to
see the journey that he's been on, Like I would like,
like I'm telling you, if Netflix is going to do
that quarterback documentary, just follow Josh Dobbs. I would love
to see what that guy's year has been like because
it's one of the more impressive performances we've seen in
a while. So good for Josh Obbs. It is two
(17:52):
pros and a cup of Joe Here on Fox Sports Radio.
It's Lebar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here.
So coming up next, we've got ourselves a couple of
interesting changes in the world of football that took place
over the last couple of days and We'll tell you
what those are next here on FSR.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app Robbery.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Oh come on, do you know about this bar?
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Who is this? Rob Zombie?
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Alison Chains?
Speaker 7 (18:34):
Oh yeah, Bat of Them Bones, Freaking Voodoo Music, Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming up twenty
minutes from now from the tire rack dot Com studios.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
We're gonna have an FSRIR report any injuries, issues, ailments
over a long weekend here on the show, So again,
stick around for that. That'll be coming up here in
about twenty minutes from now. So, not only was it
a busy weekend in the NFL, is a busy weekend
in college football, and you had some interesting news that
popped up over the course of the weekend. Now, first
and foremost, apparently, what are we looking at timeline wise?
(19:18):
Because I know we are. Penn State is hosting Michigan
this weekend.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Yep, and you were supposed to be there.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Well, apparently I might be Jim Harbaugh because maybe he
won't be there. Oh, because there was some speculation that
maybe this whole punishment could be sped up here, that
the Big Ten could step in and that Harbor might
get popped here in the next couple of days, as
far as maybe a potential suspension for a couple of days. Brady,
have you heard the same thing. I know Pete Damil
was reporting that.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Two or three days and then be back Friday and Saturday.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Just a couple of games. Oh, a couple of games.
There were a couple more games. Really stepping on this.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Few more games.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
I've heard that. But you know, it's you're hearing kind
of a little bit of everything right now. You're hearing
the frustration and the outcry from the Big Ten coaches
and athletic directors, and then you hear Michigan saying, hey,
let's let the investigation tickets due process. And again I'll
remind people the Big Ten commissioner Tony Pettiti, they don't
(20:15):
have an investigative arm. So if they do provide any
sort of punishment, it would call into question, like what
was the process in which they investigated this on their own,
not from the NCAA, but on their own, because they're
not one of the same. The Big Ten office and
the NCAA office too completely different deals. So how would
(20:37):
they go about justifying whatever punishment it was. And as
I've said previously, it would open up Pandora's box for
something that's been unprecedented in the past, a conference commissioner
providing punishment for a head coach for gamesmanship, if you will,
And it would potentially lead to other punishments for the
schools for various things. So it feels as if there
(21:01):
needs to be a little more patience with this. I
know that's not what fans want to think. And here
Connor Steens is no longer with the University of Michigan.
So if there's a concern over sign stealing, at least
from Stallion's standpoint, the impact of the game, well, it's
not going to matter quite as much now, at least
moving forward. He's not on the sidelines doing it now.
I'll remind people though, too, sign stealing within the game
(21:24):
has always gone on. It's always been allowed, it's always happened.
The elaborate scheme that they're talking about with Michigan and
Connor Stallion's doing advanced scouting and filming other teams sidelines.
Not everyone does that, but it's they definitely there's definitely
teams who do do it, and they just haven't been
caught for doing it. So that's just the truth to it.
I'm not the only one who feels that way about it,
(21:44):
and I'm not saying that makes it right or justified.
But it's also a reason why you haven't seen a
greater push for bringing, you know, coach the quarterback or
the communication system to the quarterback at the college football
level because some guys have made their career off side stealing.
They've getten really good at it, and it's help them
and give them a distinct advantage. So in regards to
(22:08):
the punishment of all this, it would be interesting to
see what Tony Petiti does and if he does choose
to punish them in season right now for this and
strip Jim Harbaugh and Michigan of whether it's his ability
to coach at games this season or even the success
they've had over the past couple of seasons, which I
still tend to take a player's standpoint of view and
(22:30):
just say, if we're going to punish them for this
and act like it made the difference between them winning
and losing games, you really take away, you know, what
the players were able to do on the field. And
that's the hard part about this is, you know, I
don't know that any of the players were necessarily fully
aware of what was going on. If they're aware at all,
and if they weren't, then you're kind of taking away
(22:50):
from what their accomplishments were because of what had taken
place with the coaches. And it's always, you know, tough
for me to listen to those conversations.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
I'd be interested if they do suspend him this week,
what what is the what's the conversation, what's the narrative after?
Because I mean, they are, for all intentsive purposes, being targeted.
I mean, how about the fact that there's some reporting
(23:21):
out there that says that Ryan Day may have been
the one that you know, kind of tipped off and
sparked this investigation. That might he might have a family
member who's a private works for a private investigators firm,
and there may have been they may have illegally gathered
information on Michigan. There's that aspect of this.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Look, there's a lot of things thwrowing around that who
knows it's true or not? I mean, well, you're taking
this though from from Zack Smith, who was a former
coach with Ohio State, and he spoke about how Ryan
Day as a family members with the FBI, and it
came and spoke to the team, and that's where that
rumor got started. So you gotta be careful. Like, that's
(24:01):
the one fun thing about college football is if if you,
as as the nation, starts to dig into more of
the college football realm, you start to find that there's
way more drama in college football than like at the
NFL level, and you start to hear these sorts of
little stories where you know, you've got a coach who's
got a connection to the FBI, and it gets floated
(24:22):
out there and then everyone runs with it. So you
gotta be careful about some of the stuff that said,
and who knows what's true and who knows what's not.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
In the end, what will Michigan be? What will what
will they? What will they do? They they had to
then they just blow somebody out this this week. Yeah,
they just Purdue out, will this turn into a distraction?
I know this is a super super big week for them, and.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
They Penn State or Michigan.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
I mean, I think it's I think it's probably got
to pick one. I'm gonna say. The reason why I'm
gonna say it probably is heavy on both sides is,
for one, the drama that's playing out with Michigan and
can they maintain.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
Who can afford a loss?
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Well, I'm Michigan's undefeated, right, Okay, all right.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
So when you say it's a bigger game than for
Penn State, because this is like, this is your.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Season, definitely our season on the line here, this is
it man and and and there's a lot right on this,
you know, in terms of get fired up, let's go. No, No, Jonas,
let's go Jonas. You're Jonas? No, what is that?
Speaker 5 (25:37):
Jonas?
Speaker 2 (25:37):
It's a lion.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
It's not what you did.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
It's it's actually not that bad though, no way, it's
hard to recreate that sound.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah, well don't one more time.
Speaker 5 (25:48):
Jonna's right, that's actually pretty good.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
It's not even like Jonas.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
It's better than that interest song you played up begin
the show.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
It's a big game. It definitely is a big game,
and and again it is our season on the line.
If they win, then you would you would assume that
they'll be able to win out and whether they make
it into the Big Ten Championship game or not, which
I think Michigan would have to beat Ohio State for
us to get into the Big Ten Championship. I believe
(26:22):
if we were to beat if we were to win out,
but I think they're in line to make it into
the college playoff if they went out, even if they
don't go to the Big Ten Championship. So it's definitely
a bigger game. Michigan could lose this game and still
be in position to make the college playoff pole position.
(26:42):
They'd be in pole position. So it's a big game.
It's a big game.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
By the way, I feel like our guy, Christoph leak
It took took issue with this, but I kind of
said this when the poll ringings came out with a
high shit have won. It's almost like you it'd be
hard for them not to make the playoff. And the
reason why I said that is they've got a pretty
clear path until Michigan. That's gonna be their toughest challenge
(27:07):
and seven of the nine teams that have started off
number one have still been able to make it in now,
obviously they would need some help from other conferences, having
you know, two loss conference champions if they were not
to win the conference. But it just seems more likely
than not that when the team starts off number one
and they've got the resume in like Ohio States so far,
(27:28):
and they'll they'd be able to add another quality win
like Michigan in there if they were able to beat Michigan.
Even if but even if they lost, if Michigan then
ended up jumping up to being number one number two,
it'd be kind of hard to say, well, they've got
the best loss if you're gonna measure it that way
of any team that you know has has a one loss.
So it's just it feels like the Big ten is
(27:49):
gonna get one to your point, LeVar, maybe even two
in with the way the current rankings are playing out
right now.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
I mean, you see who's lurking though, who's knocking on
the door, who's knocking all the nick Saban and Alabama
just kind of hanging around, just hanging around.
Speaker 5 (28:06):
Well, they got to be they got to be, George.
They had no room for air right now.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Yeah, but it is fun to have Alabama in the
conversation as well too. Washington looked impressive cost Alex Grinch's
job as the decordinator for the USC Trojans. But you know,
when you can't stop somebody and they're running for you know,
close to four hundred yards on the ground.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
And by the way, Washington is not a good running team, Like,
let's be real, they have not been running the football
well this season. That was that's like, all right, well
we just went against one of the teams that's been
the worst in the Pac twelve and running the football
and just gave up how much?
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah, okay, Well then when you're weeping in the stands
with your mom, you.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
Know what, man, I am not. There's been people who
you know, make fun of them and all that. For that,
I will not suck say anything bad about a competitor
like that. That young man has done everything to carry
that team this season. Probably doesn't need to even be
playing right now, you know, if you're looking from the
business side of things, people have said that too. And
(29:07):
he goes out there and he gives it his everything
every single time. And that's the one thing when I
look at it and see it like that just looks
like a young man who feels completely defeated on a
big stage, who's given everything to that team. And that's
something that like, I'm not I'm not gonna poke fun
I'm not gonna criticize, man.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
I will I thought it was funny as hell. I did.
I thought that. I mean, I thought it was funny,
like you're gonna jump up into the stands, then they
gonna cover you like you doing play calling, Like there's
some play calling going on, so let's cover you up,
Like there's so many other times there's moments where you
could have those moments you want to break down and
(29:48):
have an emotional moment like I get it, but I
don't know. I thought that was funny to.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Me, like you're cold.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
I'm not cold. I just thought it was funny, like
all right, you know, like you're gonna cry like crowd.
You know he crowned the car. You know he going
cry in the car, crowing the car, man, damn crowd.
I don't know. That's an old dirty bastard.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Sam's iPod.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
Whose song was that?
Speaker 1 (30:18):
That was cold blooded? ODB, it's a drop cool.
Speaker 5 (30:21):
I was just I didn't hear the cold bar.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
I mean, what did you think when you saw Jonas?
Don't don't be afraid of it, because Q gave you
some sound reasoning behind why you don't make fun of it.
I thought that As was funny as hell.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
I thought he was emotional because he had USC plus three.
But again I think differently about this trying.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
To club there. Yeah, interesting, damn it when they held
Washington to a field gloves, Hey, this is your chance.
Speaker 5 (30:46):
Did y'all see that little spin move? Though whole probably
is He's gonna be fun to watch the NFL, that
little move where he did a stutter step and got
around the Washington defender and then did the spin move
in the sidelin. I was like, no, he did not, Yeah,
he put that dude in a blender. I just he's
he's such an he's such a talented quarterback. It's it's
(31:09):
gonna be fun to see what it looks like at
the next level because I watch it and go. And
maybe this is partially because of you know, even though
the pair Caroline Panthers don't give Brycing a lot of help,
but you see what like Bryce did at the college level,
and you see some similarities in the way they both
extend plays. I mean, obviously they're both different players, but
you see that and you go, Okay, what's that gonna
(31:31):
look like at the next level, because the guys are bigger, faster,
you know, longer, strong, all that, and you're like, I
don't know if that'll work quite as much. You know,
this game's played from the pocket. If you can't play
from the pocket the NFL level, like you're gonna struggle.
And he can play from the pocket, but it seems
like a lot of those plays and highlights you see
that outside of it is what I'm curious to see
(31:52):
if he can still do that at the NFL level.
Speaker 4 (31:54):

I can see it.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Why you gotta shiner?
Speaker 7 (34:24):
Doc?
Speaker 4 (34:25):
My son dropped a toy Monster truck in my face
while I was sleeping.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Yeah, I have so much more. No, we're gonna have
to talk on break down.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
I mean, I wish it was a cooler story.
Speaker 5 (34:37):
That doesn't sound like it doesn't so I think this
is a cover fall into a doorknob.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
No he fell, No, it's definitely not.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
So.
Speaker 5 (34:50):
Twitter replies just punched right there.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
When we when we get you know, the mean streets
of Twitter when we get when we got home from
the track, because you know, it was a bit of
a hike for me, and it was a much earlier
start than even normal, so I wanted to take a nap.
So got home, took a nap, and somewhere during the
course of the nap, and I vaguely remember this because
I was so tired, But he likes to take these
little toy monster trucks, and he puts him all over
(35:16):
the bed, like he raises him all over the bed,
up on the bed post, up you know, up near
the dresser. And this happened a couple of times where
there's been near misses where one would drop and I'd
get out of the way. But this time I was
dead asleep, and just while trying to do some sort
of a backflip, one of them got me right in
the eye.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
So woke up and had a little bit of an issue.
Doesn't hurt all that bad, but.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
You know, I've woken up with a sore hit once
or twice in my life. Oh yeah, oh yeah. I
kind of figure out for the life of me how
that happened. That blame it on my kid. That's cool.
We'll go with that. Oh you think she uh, oh,
beat my ass, beat your ass. She just gave you
a good one like that. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like, yeah,
(35:57):
what do you think?
Speaker 4 (35:57):
It's like Good Fellows? I wake up and there's a
cannon in my face.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
No, there's nothing in your face. Brokay. Well, but if
there was a big truck next to you, that was
just to throw you off.
Speaker 5 (36:08):
So it's a cute story.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
It is cute.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
I wish I had a better.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
I wish I wish you were a brave enough story.
I wish you were brave enough to tell the truth.
We all have issues.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
I wish I had a better story.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
We all have things we deal with, you know what
I mean. We'll talk on break man. You know, I'm
gonna give you a hug and all that, and then
I'm gonna give you a couple of brochures.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
All right, who else go.
Speaker 5 (36:36):
Your?
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Is black.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
Gonna work out for TV Sunday? Well, they cover it up.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
I didn't see you last night. I'm sorry. I saw
your promos. Canby S doesn't really have.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
A makeup department, so we kind of have to do
it ourselves. And I tried my best, but it was
not good.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
No, not great. So your signer was on television.
Speaker 5 (36:58):
Yeah, Manolo like asking what the hell happened?
Speaker 4 (37:02):
We were supposed to do something with it, but Brady
and Lebar, I'm sure you guys know sometimes in TV
they run out of time because they try and plan
too much and there wasn't.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
The ability to get to certain things.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
Oh wow, Oh so you you were like that d
block that they just.
Speaker 4 (37:16):
Kind of they said, well, we gotta we gotta trim
the fat somewhere. We'll just get rid of his the
assault victim.
Speaker 5 (37:21):
So were you going to tell the same fake story
on TV that you just told us?
Speaker 1 (37:26):
No, I was gonna switch it up. What was you
going to switch it up to that one of you
guys rough me up? One of us? Yeah, roughed you up.
Speaker 5 (37:34):
Who would it be?
Speaker 1 (37:34):
But what it would have been me because it would
be hostile enough. I'm certainly not hostile, way more hostile.
Speaker 5 (37:45):
I love how that triggered you because Adulton hostile.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
Yeah. I ain't like that at all.
Speaker 5 (37:52):
I know, but it's like it's funny, how like when
people say something to people, like they can say one word,
You're like, wait, what, I'm not that then you immediately
have to like defend yourself even though you're gonna be
talking in a very Could.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
You be calling me hostile? Lady? You laugh at me, like,
come on, what's wrong with you?
Speaker 5 (38:08):
Maybe she was with you, she had.
Speaker 1 (38:10):
A good voice. I mean, maybe she have been all
in with the conversations.
Speaker 5 (38:14):
But I'm gonna call this guy hostile. It's the other
hear realcit.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Everybody, everybody, come circle around, listen, listen, come listen, watch
me get him. So you're being hostile.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
You may be a hostile Time got ten Time
