Speaker 2 (00:27):
Give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Oh yeah, wem Brady, Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
I'm not sure hear you talk to me say that.
It is absolutely nothing.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here on Fsruh.
By the way, I've never seen anybody get more stuff
sent to them in the history of radio than Lorena.
She boxes of snacks and squishy pillows and it doesn't stop.

(01:11):
Did I see like lingerie being sent or bikinis bikinis?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yes, I mean I'm sorry, Wait what people are sending
you bikinis and lingerie? No, not laingerie, but bikinis? Yes, Okay,
hold on this begs the question, though, do you like
put it on and take photos of yourself in and
send it to him? Is that what's happening here? You
both follow me on Instagram? You see what I do,

(01:36):
what I post on theirs, what everyone sees.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Well, one, I do, but I actually didn't have Instagram
on my phone, like I've kind of taken a hiatus
away from social media, so I would know. Yes, yes
is the answer. The answer is yes, Yes, I do
post bikini content. Yes, thank you. Coop. All right, well
it kind of makes sense. I mean you're kind of
asking for it then, right, Yeah, I would love for
youe bikinis? Yes, huh?

Speaker 3 (02:01):
I mean are these like, what's a bikini cost I've
never bought one?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
What does a bikini cost at? Are on the price
your side? They're on two hundred dude? The margins on bikinis?
Have you? Have you ever seen those? Was that Bikinia
Day Girls who started that swim line? Uh huh? I
mean obviously there's not a lot of material. I mean,

(02:26):
you you can make it like for I don't know,
four or five bucks, and they're charging like two hundred
bucks for a bikini. It's ridiculous. Those girls are raking
it in. Look, if you can make the money, make it.
I just don't see the The smart thing about them
is they're like, they look like they can wear bikinis too,
so they model in their own bikinis. So yeah, they're
keeping all the money. Yeah, Devin and Tosh I think

(02:49):
are the other two girls did it? But then they
afford look them up? Oh you can look up. Yeah.
By the way, Evans.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yep, speaking of speaking of that, we didn't get a
chance to talk about this. I don't think we talked
about this.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Did the.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Somebody else who was who's gotten gifts? Did the Cavender twins? Uh?

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Did some Did they have a dude? That's true? Somebody?
Do you want to tell the full story? Because this
is like I've got daughters I don't even want.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Okay, So I guess reportedly the Cavendar twins, one of
them is dating. Why did I just play Carson back
who transferred over to Miami? Had I guess they had
cars stolen in the parking lot. They they got back together,
and because they had broken up, because he might have

(03:41):
been fooling around on her, because why wouldn't they and
they got back together.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Hey, me too in Miami. He nobody is that what
is it? Uh?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
What's that street Lost Oldest or whatever it's called were
we we hung?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
It's actually called Espanola Way. Yeah, whatever, that's yeah. So
I guess he this forcanting anything right now? All right?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
So I guess he got back together with her, and
they wanted to get breast implants, the Cavender Twins, and
so a donor or a billionaire who's a Miami fan.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
John Ruiz, he runs their collect and you want me
to just take over here this please?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
You sent me the story and I'm trying to remember
all the details.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Okay, Well you could have just said that in the
first place. So John Ruiz, who has been the financial
backing for everything University of Miami sports, he's a is
a billionaire. Some have called into question some of those moneies.
But that being said, Carson Beck was reportedly just not
being himself and he needed to get back together with

(04:50):
Carson Beck, and well it was kind of helpful when
you know you can go ahead and get the Cavendar
Twins apparently got breast implants, and Chryson Peck is back
together with him with her excuse me. I did think
about that.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
He loves college football and the program so much that
he's willing to pay for the quarterback.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Who just got to take that, Nevin Shapiro, You never
went to those lengths.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Nevin, like Carson BECs, not played a single snap for Miami,
not one single snap, has done nothing for the program
on the field yet, and this guy's like, you know what, though,
we could really use him, We got to replace cam Ward.
I'm gonna buy his girlfriend and her twin sister new bress.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Buddy. If this isn't peak twenty five as far as
where we're out with college football, I don't know what is.
And I will go even further saying college football fans
are just more passionate. You show me some billionaire, okay
that was willing to buy any quarterbacks girlfriends fake boobs
in the NFL. Show me one, agreed, Show me one.

(05:57):
But don't don't say, well, these quarterbacks pay in the NFL.
They just pay for themselves, because these dudes are getting
paid two in college now they're getting three four million
a year. So don't try to tell me that they
don't have the money to pay for it too. Oh
my god, and and your sister too. I'll heard too. Yeah,
throw that on. I don't listen.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
I don't know if it was a two for one
special or maybe you know, a four for two special
better put. But bottom line is, that's a real fan.
That's somebody who's willing to go above and beyond. You
give Pete Prisco a hard time all the time because
Pete talks about Arizona State, this and that, and he's
not going to donate to him and he's not going
to try and help their nil. That's somebody who's serious

(06:34):
about winning. That's somebody right there. He knows you know what.
I got to get my quarterback right in the head again,
even though he hasn't played a single snap for the
program yet. I got to get him right in the
head again. And the only way I'm going to do
that is to get his girlfriend and her twin sister
right in the chest. And once they got right in
the chest, then it's going to be off and running. Now,
if he has a bad year, I don't know what

(06:55):
happens after that. I mean, that seems like it could
be problematic, but hey, just a different level of care
when it comes to and for all those people to say, well,
European soccer fans, they care about their team. There's a
big difference between throwing pipe bombs and molotov cocktails on
the field when your team loses and buying your quarterbacks

(07:18):
girlfriend fake bress and her sister too, just to get
them better ready for the season. Big difference. I'll take
that over soccer fans any day of the.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Week, all right.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
So that being said, speaking of Miami to a tug
of Iloa and Tyreek Hill, apparently I have some work
to do on their relationship. Not I don't know if
this guy's going to step in and try and help
either one of these guys out when it comes to that,
I wouldn't recommend it, although you know, probably passable in
certain parts of the country. But nonetheless, to a tug

(07:52):
of Ilois spoke a training camp yesterday because Tyreek Hill
removed himself from the season finale last year for the Dolphins,
decided I don't want to be here anymore. Then set
afterwards some things publicly about not wanting to be in Miami,
so on and so forth. It's been kind of a
wild off season for Tyreek Hill, who's tried to walk
those comments back and apologize and show everybody he's committed

(08:14):
to the team. Tua spoke yesterday about that relationship with Tyreek.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Let's take a listen.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
When you say something like that, it's you don't just
come back from that with hey my bad. You know
you got you gotta work that relationship up. You got
to build everything up again. And it's still a work
in progress, not just for me but for everybody. But now,
like I said, he's working on himself. He's working on
the things that he say. You know, he says he
wants to get better with and do better on. So

(08:41):
that's the first step to me, and so I commend
him for doing that.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
All right.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I don't want to be negative here. I don't want
to already set this in motion. I'll just say this.
When I hear that a wide receiver in the NFL
who is complaining multiple times about his involvement or his
situation is a quote unquote change demand and actually does
want to be here and be a part of the team.

(09:07):
When I hear that, all I'm thinking is, all right,
so what week number are we looking at before.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
He has another meltdown?

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Yeah, Like this just feels like it's going to go
sideways in a hurry from Miami, and I that's why
I said yesterday, I'm just not optimistic about their chances
this year.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
I'm not something feels off well, something feels off because
they've tried to make some or had to make some
tough moves within the salary cap to make things work.
I think what's interesting about Syary Hill is you have
to go back two years ago. Obviously last year more
of a down year a bit. Then there's some different
factors that played into that. But you know, two years

(09:49):
ago he caught for the most yards in the league,
had the most touchdown receptions in the league. He had
one hundred and nineteen receptions the previous two years. So
if you've look at how things had worked out for
him since his time in Kansas City, he was getting
more targets, more touches, more yards. I just I don't

(10:10):
know how he could be unhappy. I mean, outside of
the team's success, which he had to have known leaving
Kansas City and leaving Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, he
wasn't going to be able to have the same success.
I mean, you left the best quarterback in the league,
one of the greatest talents we've seen at the quarterback
position and arguably one of the best head coaches we've seen.

(10:34):
And that's not taken anything away from Mike McDaniel. It's
just that's the reality of what Kansas City is right now,
and he found an issue with that. I look at
it as if you found an issue with Kansas City,
all right, and that's such a set up situation. All
the success you had, you're gonna find an issue with everything,
like this isn't This isn't a surprise, and you know,

(10:56):
he kind of lives a lifestyle where he's, you know,
kind of volatile guy, up and down. There's a lot
of things going on. So I just I think there's
certain guys who and there's certain people like this, by
the way, who will never be happy. They could have
the perfect situation, they can have what a lot of
people view as they've got it all, and they're never happy.

(11:16):
It's kind of human nature. Oftentimes we place that happiness
in something that's fleeting. And if you're basing it on
how many targets you get, how many touches you get, yeah,
you're probably gonna be unhappy week in and week out.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
I mean I also it's like the Steffan Digs thing
because the same thing happened in Minnesota, the same thing
happened in Buffalo, and now he's in New England and
you're like, all right, well then he was in Houston
and then you're like, all right, when's this gonna go sideways?
And yeah, he suffered the injury last year. I just
and I don't know if it's just a wide receiver thing.
Maybe it is just a human the part of you know,

(11:53):
how human beings operate, that there's some people that just
can't be satisfied with what they got. I just I
hear those quotes from two and I'm like, yeah, listen,
he's got some work to do to gain the trust
back of everybody. And I wonder if he has one issue,
if two is just going to be like f this.
And I feel like this year, based on where they're at,

(12:15):
there's got to be some real pressure being felt there by,
because there was reports this offseason from some of the
veterans that Mike McDaniels. I guess, like the way he coaches,
his presence, all of that stuff, that guys are just
kind of over it. They're not really not really into
all that and that he's kind of maybe not held

(12:36):
players accountable. He's talked about it. You know, I've not
held players accountable, and so now maybe he's going to
take more of a hard ass approach this year. I
just look at it and I go, I don't see
it this year. I think New England's going to be improved.
As we talked about yesterday. Who knows what the Jets
probably not based on their history, and then you've got
Buffalo there, who has got the reigning MVP and are

(12:58):
trying to make a Super Bowl run. It just feels
like this could be Uh, this could be a rough
go for the Miami Dolphins and uh and Tyreek Hillantua.
But at least Tyreek, you know, did beat Noah Lyles's
brother in a in a hundred meters dash this offseason.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Yeah, so there is that. I mean, I do wonder.
We talked about this yesterday with Mike Vrabel in the
New England Patriots and just the optimism that you have
I have. I mean, I think a lot of people
have in what the Patriots could be now with him
there and Drake May and everything else. But it begged
the question, we wonder how Titans fans are feeling, you know,
we were kind of looking, go, wait, why why do

(13:34):
we get rid of that guy? Yeah? Was it just
time to make a change for change his sake? And
there's often times that I do wonder with owners if
there's just a line that was crossed that they can't
move past. Because I look at Mike mcgangel. I think
he's a good coach, he's a great offensive mind, and

(13:54):
I do wonder if things go south this year, if
it's going to be more pointed at him, what was
gonna be pointed at to U Because he was able
to make tool what he is based on the system
and the offense everything else. I'm not sure if if
two of those other places, if it's gonna work out
quite the same for him. You know, he's in that category.
And it comes to that lineage of Kyle Shanahan, Sean

(14:16):
mcvayh like those coaches where man, when you go there
and you get that opportunity in that shot as a quarterback,
you're expecting the ball out and you should ball out.
There's too many layups when I go back and watch
film of these games where they're gonna dial things up
for you. You just have to go out and execute. If
you do that easy work, that's not a job, that's
just that's playing football. That's just playing a game. And oftentimes,

(14:41):
you know there's different coordinators and offenses. I'm watching it, going,
all right, this guy, I mean, he's not really complimenting
plays off one another, not really building and stacking concepts
and plays together to keep the defense on their on
their heels. It's just he's out there calling plays. It's
gonna be tough for the off it's to be tough
for that quarterback. A lot of guys have follow in

(15:02):
that category. Who are the best play callers in the NFL?
M Shannon number one. I put McVeigh, I put Mike
McDaniel in there. I'll put Josh McDaniels in there. Obviously,
Ben Johnson, he'd be a part of that. That's just
off the top. I had like those those five right there,
Sean Payton, you know it's right there. So then I

(15:26):
kind of hit a little bit of a stance still
at that. But I mean that's I mean, look, Cliff
Kingsbury's done a really good job evolving. I don't know
that he's quite to the tier of those guys yet,
but he's he's close, He's there. He's another guy I've
thrown into consideration.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
For some of that, like the Josh McDaniels that we
wouldn't you say that. I think people some people can't
get past the well his time as a head coach.
It's like, yeah, you could say whatever you want about Denver.
It was his first time. And then he gets to
to Vegas with the Raiders and yeah, that didn't go well,
but there was some other things that were happening there
as well too.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Not to say that he wasn't culpable at all. I
mean the roster wasn't late outstanding.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah, And so I look, I look at the Josh McDaniels.
I think people look just look at his time as
a head coach, and they don't look at the years
of success he had as a coordinator.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
And I know that he had Brady and all that, but.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
He said a damn good run and now he's I
think there's a reason why he continues to get opportunities.
And so, yeah, like Josh McDaniels, like for Drake May,
that's got to be quite the get to be able
to go back to New England and pair them back
up together him and Mike Rabel. So it is Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio,

(16:39):
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
All right.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
It's coming up next though. There's a team in the NFL.
All right, speaking of changes, they've decided to make a
change and at some point enough is enough.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
We'll get into that for you right here on FSR.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonah Knocks weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Yeah, you blubber list jam in me.

Speaker 7 (17:31):
Well, you know what it's called over promise. You should
be good at it because you've been over promising women
for years.

Speaker 8 (17:35):
Well, it's a Cavino and Rich after show, and we
want you to be a part of it. We're gonna
be talking sports, of course, but we're also gonna talk

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Well, if you don't get enough.

Speaker 7 (17:50):
Covino and Rich, make sure you check out over Promised

but definitely join us. Listen Over Promised with Cadino and
Rich on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Two pros and a cup of Joe.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Here Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
And at the Home Depot.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
It is about time for pros to source the whole
job with one partner. Ask about all we can do
for you at the pro desk the Home Depot Pro
It's about time, so we are going to hand out
an award here on the show coming up here in
about twenty minutes from now here on FSR. That'll be
yours here on the program. We do have to talk
about one team that's making a change, and I feel

(18:39):
like we've we've heard this story before. Congratulations to your
Cleveland Browns, Brady. We are looking at Alpha Dog helmets.
This is the Alpha Dog.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Look here was that the all brown looks or could
describe for listeners at home is out there?

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Looks like so it's brown with an.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Or dark dark brown. It almost looks like it almost
looks black.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Right, Yeah, really dark orange stripes from.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
The on the top of the helmet.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
The jersey numbers are going to be orange as well too.
And the Browns, in a statement, said, Alpha Dog embodies
what we set out to be is the Cleveland Browns,
the leaders of the pack. We're excited about this new
alternate helmet and the and the ode it pays to
the rich history of the color brown as part of
our organization, switching it up from our iconic orange helmets.

(19:33):
We look forward to the team wearing the all brown
helmet and uniform combination for the first time on September
twenty first at Huntington Bank Field and leaning into the
alpha dog mentality throughout the twenty twenty five season that's
from brown, like the EP J W.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Johnson J Dove is a good dude, and that that
uniform is hard, like it's that's a cool look, Like
I think, you know, a time you get those like
black helmets, all black uniforms in this case obviously, like
it's it looks like it could be it's it's dark brown,
but all brown uniform Like that's a good look, man.
Like I'm just I'm just saying I like that. I
don't know why. I would love to know and go

(20:11):
back to the history of the browns, you know, why
they selected an orange helmet as opposed to like a
white or maybe even a brown. I mean, maybe it's
as simple as saying, you know, you know, not many
people are, you know, using brown as the primary color
for their helmet. But I just I look at it,
and I think it's I think it's a sweet look.
Like I think, yeah, I actually like basically every alternate

(20:33):
besides their actual uniform, like like the white helmet, the
brown helmet, Like, I like, I've liked all the helmets
besides the orange one.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
I'm like, what are you doing here? I think so,
I think this is brutal, to be honest with you.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Oh no, man, what was brutal was the person unveiling
it who fell into the lake area was brutal?

Speaker 3 (20:50):
I mean, yeah, was Did Matthew Stafford push him off
the stage too?

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Oh? God? Was that? Did he push it? Or no?

Speaker 3 (20:56):
I'm not trying to accuse anybody of anything wrong here,
but I would say the white helmets, the browns rolled
out that you mentioned, those are by far and away
my favorite ones that they've done. But I feel like
every off season, every year they're unveiling some new uniform combination,
And if you're doing this every single off season, like

(21:19):
at some point you just have to say, and maybe
we should just start from scratch, Like let's just do
this whole thing over again, because we've tried to figure
you know, we added like whoever that little the elf
on the side of it, you know, there's the elf
on the field or whatever it is. You've got this
bowl mast that's out there. I feel like there's options here.
They just don't seem to come up with one that

(21:40):
they stick with. And I don't understand.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
I don't expect you to understand, all right, you're not
a part of the Dog Pound. You wouldn't know. You
didn't grow up in that kind of part of the country.
You know, you don't know what it felt like to
go to the municipal stadium and be sitting out trying
to watch the game and there's a big pole in
your way and you probably missed about ten percent of
the field. You know, you didn't know what those days
are like.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
I mean, what do you like, hold on a second?
That team left? Why didn't you just follow them to Baltimore?
A couple of Super Bowls? I stayed true. I mean
I stayed true.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
I mean, I'm just saying. One of my one of
my buddies, grew up playing football with the guy that
Matt Davis, his dad down. He always would tellus Brady
is coming back nine to nine. Brid has no a
n no. So we'd say, like, he's I'm home with you,
Bridy's coming back nine to nine. So we stayed loyal,
We stayed true, and we waited and they came back.

(22:37):
Now did they come back and as an expansion team?
Yes they did? Has that been a struggle? Without a doubt?
Was I a part of that struggle. Yes, I was.
Do you want me to ask me more question?

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Do you know do you know anybody that just said,
we can't trust that they're going to be back, We're
going to Baltimore with them? Like, do you know anybody
that followed the team. He became a raven.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
No. Ohio sports fans are, in my opinion, really loyal.
I mean, so think about this. They're so loyal in
a league that is built upon superstars and fandom where
they kind of move where of the star goes. Cleveland
Cavalier fans were burning Lebron James jerseys. I mean, arguably
a top two player, all time, top three player. However

(23:21):
you want to dice it up, burning burning his jersey
when he left. I mean, by the way, a guy
who is from Akron, like from Ohio and yes it
came back, you know, won U a championship. There might
have been some folks who just burn his jersey even
after the championship when he left went to La So
the Ohio has and it's one of the reasons why

(23:43):
I believe the Ohio State Michigan robbery is what it
is because the state of Ohio is not divided on anything.
When it comes to what college team they root for,
they root for Ohio State. There's you'll find some Notre
Dame fans, you know, some Catholics, you'll find some Michigan fans.
But by and large, the team love Ohio State or
the state loves Ohio State. And then it's divided in

(24:04):
regards to Cleveland and Cincinnati. But you know, pick your
team and you are all in, all in.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Like I've wondered about that. So what is the if
you had to rank them in order franchise in Ohio
they care about the most, and you could even throw
in Ohio State football like in.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Ohio State would be number one, I would say, And
maybe people would disagree with me on this. I think
by and large, Ohio State is the biggest sports brand
in the state, in the state dan the state, Yeah,
I mean, I don't know. People hit us up on
x Twitter, whatever you want to call it, call in
if you want, well, hell, call in to Lorana and
Coop Colin. If you feel like I'm wrong in this,

(24:42):
I would say that Ohio State is because there's there's
really no division there. You know, you start going different
parts of the state, you're gonna find yourself in Cincinnati territory,
Cleveland's territory for either one of those NFL or Midor
League Baseball teams.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox is Ohio State
Football the top quote unquote franchise in the state, the
one you care about most. As I mean, I'll say
this much.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
I don't recall ever hearing a Cleveland Browns fan, a
Cavalier fan, because I grew up a Cleveland sports fan,
or even a Guardian fan now Guardian formerly at the Indians.
I don't recall ever hearing their fans say to an
opposing team's fan base, like tell a little kid that
Santa is not real. Like, I don't ever recall hearing that,

(25:29):
Like there's a lot of passion behind that when you
hear an opposing fan go as far as trying to
ruin someone's childhood.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
I mean, I've heard I've seen worse at at a
Bears game. I've seen I've seen worse behavior at the
two thousand and seven.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Bundy go to a Philly game. Good to Philly, anything,
all right?

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Two thousand and seven January two thousand and seven, at
the Bears Saints NFC championship game, there was a Bears
fan that held up a sign that said, today the
Bears finished what Katrina started, I swear to God. And
they didn't remove him, They didn't ask him to take
the sign down. They asked nothing of him. And I'm
walking by that going Jesus Christ, what.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Are we doing here? What are we doing?

Speaker 3 (26:18):
It literally gutted the city. People died and they couldn't
get enough like no, no, no, no, no, no, no no,
this is this is all a board And was there.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
A news anchor? So they saw a body floating?

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Oh, Brian Williams, Yeah, yeah, Brian Williams claimed that he
was in New Orleans he could see bodies floating by
his hotel. All a lie, all a lie, completely made up.
But you know what, if you need to sensationalize what's
already a tragedy, just say that you see corpses floating
by all a lie, every bit of it was alive.

(26:51):
But that is that's wild. So so Ohio state football
runs that runs that entire state like that is.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
I would argue to say that maybe some people feel
like I'm off off with that and they're a big
they're a big Browns fan, or if they're like in
like the northern part of the state, and maybe they
like Michigan as their college team, but they then they
like the Browns, so maybe they'll they'll argue otherwise. But
I think it's I think that's one like most people
agree on. They're like, yeah, Ohio State's the biggest brand

(27:19):
probably in the state, the Ohio State, so the bank.
I think it's the biggest branding in sports, is it not?
And who would you try to put ahead of a
Texas like that state's divided though, depending on which direction
you go, You've got NM. I mean you go certain parts,
you've got tech people go to them. There's just YOUCU, there's.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Baalor just college wise, I would say, yeah, probably Ohio State.
Like there's an Ohio State bar out here in California,
Like I can't. I can't find you a USC or
UCLA bar.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
I mean there's bars near the campus, but there's an
Ohio State bar nowhere near Columbus and nowhere near a
college campus anywhere.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
I think they drink more of that zero zero alcohol.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
That's a good point, probably, And you like you've got
to also like lift the mask up to drink and
then put it back then it's kind of a pain
in the ass, So I don't blame them.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Well, then you got to worry about that little like
umbrella that they put in the in the beer too.
It's like, all right, what's happening here? That is true.
They gotta get around the fruit, the umbrella, then.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
The mask, and then it's okay, that is true.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
By the way, we do have some people that want
to chime in on this. Uh, here is Ohio.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
State football the program of note in the entire state
professional college Whatever Cody is in Ohio listening here on
Fox Sports Radio, Cody is brady quit accurate with that
when it comes to Ohio State football.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
In the southeast part of Ohio. Here, West Virginia the
most the people around here Ohio State fans and Steeler fans. Actually,
we're so much closer to Pool. Everybody you meet is
an Ohio State fan fairly anybody West Virginia.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
You hear, he sounds like he's services in West Virginia
based on that, all right, So.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
I couldn't hear did did Cody said that he's closer
to West Virginia than he is Columbus, And yet they're
Ohio State fans because they're in the state of Ohio. Yeah, okay.
We've also got Jimmy, who's in Ohio.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Jimmy, is it true Ohio State football runs the show
there in the entire state?

Speaker 9 (29:23):
Yeah, one hundred. I'm northwest Ohio, near Finley, Ohio, just
south of Toledo. It's Ohio State, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. We
kind of begrudgingly like Cincinnati and Cleveland Browns. The Ohio
State's definitely like the number one pro team, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
All right there he is, Thank you, Jimmy. Let's do
one more. We've got Lee's actually in Virginia.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Is this Lee to Lap who stumbled into Virginia?

Speaker 1 (29:51):
If it is Lee, Lee, what are you drinking?

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (29:55):
Lee?

Speaker 1 (29:55):
What's happening?

Speaker 10 (29:57):
I'm over here. I've got a cold Strokes beer fired
up for this morning because I'm originally from Michigan, but
I lived in Ohio and absolutely everyone there, whether they've
gone to sixth grade or completed college, Ohio State fans.
It's crazy. I don't understand it, but it rules. I've

(30:17):
got family in Cleveland, Cincinnati, you got some Bengals fans,
you got some Brown fans, but they all unite behind
those weird death book guys.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Okay, so let me ask you a question.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
So you're from Michigan, Is it like that for Michigan football,
because I don't think it is.

Speaker 10 (30:31):
No, because you've got Michigan and you've got Michigan State,
and you know you've got some alliances. But yeah, I've
never seen anything like the pool in Ohio for Ohio State.
It's I mean, it's great for the school.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah. Wow, I'm telling you it's hard
to explain to people who aren't aren't from this region,
this area, And that's why I would almost make the
case because again, I'm not going to go back to the
rivalry and we're long ways away from it, but it
means so much more, I think to the Ohio State
fan base, and you know, we're at the Big Ten

(31:07):
media days, We're talking to Ryan Day, We're talking to
how To State folks, and there's like this, hey man, congrats,
great season, National championship, and there's always like this, yeah,
but you know you didn't beat that team up. Like
there is that sense and feeling for it. And it's
because it means so much more to the Ohio State
fan base because there is no division in who their
rival is. It's like that is the game to them,

(31:30):
you know. For Michigan, yes it's Ohio State, but they
also have Michigan State in state, you know, and when
Notre Dame in Michigan used to play, that used to
be a really big deal because they played every year.
And there was a thought too that the reason why
Notre Dame never joined the Big Ten was because of Michigan.
So there was some hatred through that history and there
was some jockeying for the you know, total wins, the

(31:50):
greatest winning percentage of all time between those two schools,
So there was a lot of history there. With Ohio State,
it is a singular focus on that Michigan game. And
that that's why I like this state. The fan base,
everyone behind it. It makes it what it is. It
was like it's like a Hallmark movie that people watch.
You know, you usually oh where you're from, it's always
like a small town in Ohio. It's because there's just

(32:11):
more of a sense of pride and passion that comes
along with that. And they carried that to the Ohio
State Buckeyes. It was one of the and and not
to for our friends in Ohio.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
By the way, thank you for everybody who called in.
Uh it not to bring up the bad memory of
last year's game against Michigan, but I can remember watching
that and thinking to myself, oh God, and they're gonna
lose this year too, And just watch it and you
could see how devastated like those players were on the field,

(32:40):
and and like Ryan Day had no idea how to act.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
I would have bet I don't know, maybe a testicle,
can I say that? I might have that Ohio State
was going to win that game this year, this past year.
Like that's how confident I was in what the Buckeyes
could be going into it. Weren't they like an eight
Brandon point? Yeah, it was. Actually that was the biggest
loss or biggest upset in the in the series history,

(33:05):
which is saying a lot, But I literally was that
confident because the team we saw the next game, we
saw them out and the rest of the playoff was
the team I thought they were. You know, I thought
they were that team that could just blow out anyone
they needed to. And and look, give Michigan credit, Michigan forces,
you know, teams to play their style of football. When
they do, it's it's tough to beat them, man, Like

(33:28):
it's tough to beat him in that knockdown, drag out fight.
It's like watching have you seen the Creed series with
Michael B. Jordan? No, you didn't watch any of them?
I can't. Okay, first off, no, no, no, no, don't. Here's
what I'll say to that. I was a huge Rocky fan.
Like I still work out to the soundtrack like a
d bag. I still do that, and partly because I

(33:50):
think my brother in law, Jack Johnson, is a little
bit too. But we enjoyed sharing and like that sort
of like you know, that's that pump up music. But
I thought they did a really good job with that series,
Like you will enjoy it because the boxing scenes and
you love boxing. There's so much better than even back
during like the Rocky series, only because they're more realistic

(34:11):
when you're watching kind of the sparring back and forth. Okay,
I'm just saying, dude, you give it a chance. It's
a really well done deal.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Ohio State was a twenty and a half point favorite
in that game we get to Michigan last year.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
Yeah, that would have had one testicle if I could
have bet.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
But at this point.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Who said a Rabel he said he did give that up.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Oh yeah, Vrabel said he would have his crank cut off.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
For a Super Bowl. I mean he's like he's got married,
Like I don't like, yeah, like why not? Well I
also think he said he was done having kids, which
was a portion of that. Oh yeah, I mean it
was it Taylor u Wan? Was it tailor of lu Wan?
It was like trying to hold him to that.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Yeah, like like like wanted to actually Becausember because the
one year they got to the scham it's a all
about Yeah, that was that was when they Tom Brady's
final game as a Patriot ended on a pick six
and that with the Titans won that game and then
somehow with Derrick Henry and Ryan Ryan Tannel was thrown
for like seventy yards a game. They beat Baltimore, they

(35:16):
beat New England I think, and then they ended up
losing in the AFC title game. But yeah, I love
Mike Rabel.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Like you see, after your playing career is done, you
have these moments where you you kind of reminisce you
think about like what could have been or what coach
you would have loved to play for. I remember seeing
him one time embraced Ben Jones when he was coming
up to the tunnel because he was battling crying. Yeah, yeah,
because I mean he was playing through like legitimately like
bad injury and he toughed it out. And I remember

(35:44):
seeing that moment and thinking, like, dude, that's that's who
you want to pour your heart out for. And and
even at the professional level, it's tough because there's not
many coaches that can connect to players like that, and
it's you know, so much of it's about money. But
like those moments, man, they just they make you like,
like love certain coaches. He's one of those guys that
I'm glad he's back coaching again. He's I don't know

(36:07):
how we got on the subject, but god, man, that's
awesome in Ohio State. Great Mike Vrabel. It is two
pros and a cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio,

Speaker 1 (37:27):
Boss center field headed for the Saints, Rix and them again.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Consecutive game. Let's show hey home.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Run Brady's guy Joe Davis on the call there for Spectrum.
That is your Express Pros Pro of the week and
deservedly so. Show hey, Otani is on a heater, he's pitching,
he's hitting bombs, He's got five straight games with the
home run, and he is your pro of the week.
We ask you, are you ready for a new job?

(37:56):
Let Express Employment professionals help. While Express helps people in
all industries find work, our sweet spot is logistics roles
and Express never charges job seekers a fee. Go to
Express Pros dot com.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
He's uh, he's playing with house money right now, you know.
I mean some people would Sayani should parlay these last
five games into a six.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
That's a great point. That is a great point, and
I'm sure there'd be some decent juice on that. Definitely, definitely,
he's maybe a.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Little choky, you know, on the rates.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
Won a bunch of mean hit a bunch in a row,
and uh, there's nothing better than that when you when
you go on a heater like that.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
I've personally never been on a heater like that in anything.
But I'm just saying, I think if you're looking for
some action, which maybe.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
I do, I do think, Yeah, there are probably you know,
some people out there that would would love to continue
on with this, Like if you just what would that
be if you just laid some money down on a
Tani Date home run and then just doubled down and
can continued on at five straight games? Like five straight games,
Like anytime guys like that go off at baseball. I'm

(39:07):
just thinking to myself, because it's such a hot and
cold sport, how bad is the slump going to be
on the other side, Like how bad is a slump
like that going to be on the other side? Because
I think that people recognize how good he is, but
he's also doing all of this while he's now pitching again.
And the thing about him that doesn't get talked about
a lot is he's having like all of these pitching

(39:31):
assignments would normally be done at the minor league level,
but he's still at the plate and he's still on
the major league roster, so all of these pitching assignments
are basically being done against major league batters. And he's
been dominated that and gotten better every single start when
it comes to that. So he is firing on all

(39:52):
cylinders there. You know, he's he's really putting. He seems
to be the type that would be a great athlete
at anything.

Speaker 9 (39:58):
You know.

Speaker 1 (39:58):
I don't know if he's big enough to play like
end or something, but I would imagine if he played
football like he could get on the field. He's a
big dude, six', Four that's What i'm. Saying, yeah he's,
uh he's he can, run he can.

Speaker 9 (40:09):
Move.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
Yeah, well, listen we're gonna move right into our three
here and we get some storylines in THE nfl next.
