That's see, you're one of us. I'm telling you. You
one of us, Brady, you one of us. They should
have named you Tyrone Quinn. That's what they should have did.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Tyrone. Middle name should have been Jerome.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Were you were you, guys? Lavarn Did you bring this up?

Speaker 8 (04:22):
So?

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Is it true?

Speaker 6 (04:23):
Dylan Gabriel was almost named after Brady? Is that is
that a true?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (04:27):
That's a true story.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
That's sweet.

Speaker 7 (04:30):
They named all their kids after football people that they
really really like, really were big fans of and they're
a big fan of Brady Quinn and almost named Dylan Brady.
That's awesome, man, it's a true story. That's gotta be
a dope feeling. Man, on God, it's gotta be a
dope feeling. I've had horses and dogs named after me.

Speaker 9 (04:52):
Any cats never heard of him. See when someone comes up,
they're going name my cat after you.

Speaker 7 (05:01):
Thanks, I will say, kind of. I don't want to
be disrespectful to to the family. There is a family,
the cake LeVar Keys. He's actually a five star, four
star receiver that plays a He's going to Penn State
next year.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Hell yeah, there you go.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Don't disrespect him.

Speaker 7 (05:23):
So hopefully if he becomes like a super superstar and
all American and makes all these big plays like, we'll
have this conversation a few years later and be like, yeah, man,
you know, but not to take it off a queue.
I think that's pretty cool that that.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Come on, let's do the.

Speaker 10 (05:42):
Five lines, not those kind of lines. Five picks, five spreads.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Time for picks against the spread, man, I love spreading them.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
Ian Roddy, what are we What are we looking at
from last week?

Speaker 10 (05:59):
Here?

Speaker 11 (06:01):
Shoes are starting with Actually, let's let's update last week's scores.
Week five, Jonas, Unfortunately you went one and four.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Leavar, that's classic Jonas.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah, yeah, LeVar, four and three.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Brady, you went four and two.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Didn't I do that the week before?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Two? Or no? Yeah, Jonas, you're not good at this.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
You went three and two the week now, three and
two the week before correct. Oh yeah, we talked about
this earlier this week, Yeah, one and four.

Speaker 7 (06:27):
But this was a curious That was a curious week
though this past week there were some there were some
curious games.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
But you know, we'll do better this.

Speaker 7 (06:36):
Week, just like Swee and I mean, on a down week,
we were still over five hundred.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Just so you know, by the way, just as far
as you and me, not you and yeah, just.

Speaker 6 (06:45):
To clear this up for people listening, just for people,
just for people to understand this that are listening. If
you're wondering, how, hey you guys picked five games. Hey,
you guys picked five games. Why why does Brady have
four and two and LaVar are four and three? I
was wondering, Well, yeah, it's easy because they they nickel
and diamond and go money line to get extra credit points.

(07:05):
They're the kiss asses in class at one extra credit.

Speaker 9 (07:08):
But Ian, we also lose to if we lose it,
So we basically doubled the value of a money line pick.
By the way, I don't By the way, Jonas, what
are you talking about. I don't know that I did
all the accounting. I did all the accounting. Trust me,
everything's up up to date. It was not when it
was not when Lee was doing it. I can promise

(07:31):
you that there's some fuzzy man, but it's it's good
to go.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Now.

Speaker 9 (07:36):
The issue is because of this, and Jonas is staunch
in not wanting to pick ever a money line, we
now have to go basically off when he did it.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
The one time you were out, Hey, panic didn't did it?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
You know? Oh?

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Did he? Yes?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
You did?

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yes, back to the picks, Yes you did.

Speaker 7 (07:54):
Brady was off and you did a money line pick.
I was in state college when you did it. I
remember when you did it.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Yes, you did.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
You participated, and once you participate, you cannot use the
reasoning that you're using. You you were not resistant to it.
You did it, not good at it.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
So now you want to did do it? He did
do it.

Speaker 9 (08:13):
He took He took the Chiefs money line. In Week
two when the Eagles went to Kansas City. That's when
he did it.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Now there you go. I mean, are you lying, sack
of just do it?

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Who cares?

Speaker 6 (08:26):
Now? If you if, if you guys really want me
to go there, because I don't think you want that smoke.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
If I start going money line, it's over.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Okay, that's already started going money line.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
That's like give it a grizzly baronozy. So you don't
want that. That's bad.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
I don't think they can shoot it.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
But all right, let's let's let's get the pigs all right.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Week one, Bronco said, shaits what do you got?

Speaker 12 (08:55):
Joe?

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Know what I meant?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
What's the line on this hand? What are we looking
at here?

Speaker 11 (08:59):
Yeah, Brons are favored by seven and a half, seven
and a half points here.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
This is the London game.

Speaker 11 (09:03):
By the way, keep that in mind.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
I'll take the Jets getting seven and a half neutral site,
Denver's feeling themselves. I'll take the Jets.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Knocks locks.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
LaVar Oh, take Denver to cover.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Sticks picks.

Speaker 11 (09:24):
What do you think?

Speaker 9 (09:25):
Theres a big number for me? And it's like, I
don't know, man, I'm not sure what to think of
the Jets. They just have not been good. I think
this Denver teams underrated, but I hate I hate a
seven and.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
A half line.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
I don't like it either, but I'm the way the
points on Denver.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
I don't feel good about it.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
Whens wins.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Thanks so bad, They've just been so bad? All right?

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Next matchup se Hawks and Jaguars.

Speaker 11 (10:01):
The Seahawks are favored by a point and a half,
though Jacksonville is the home team.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
What do you guys thinking to make sense?

Speaker 2 (10:07):
It doesn't funny line.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
It does money line in Jacksonville.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
I'm taking Seattle. Somebody knows something knocks.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
That doesn't make any sense to me.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
Look line, Hell yeah, it's a one and a half
point spread. We can't get extra credit points for that?

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Why not? I just I took I took Seattle minus
I I it's a point. There's got there's gotta be
out spy.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
There's gotta be a line in the sand where you
can't do money lining.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
It's called you're it's called you're the underdog.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Why the line?

Speaker 7 (10:54):
That's the line in the sand? Jonas, they're the underdog.
I'm taking line.

Speaker 9 (11:00):
It doesn't make any sense. I'm laying the point a
half with Seattle here.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
How about that Whens this morning with Brady's kick again,
do it again?

Speaker 2 (11:17):
It wins?

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Whens. It really is good.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
I mean when you by way that was that's a
flattering dip.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
By the way, that was live. Do it live?

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Alright?

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Forty nine ers said Buccaneers.

Speaker 11 (11:36):
Buccaneers are the home team. They're favored by three points.
Exactly what do you guys think?

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Is it Mac or Purty? This week? It's Mac Jones, right.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Mac, it is Mac. I'm gonna take Tampa Bay. Knox locks.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Var Tampa Bay.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
He stick what up?

Speaker 9 (12:03):
Sticks?

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Right, I'm gonna take Tampa Bay too.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
Twins wins so much longer than that.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Wait, wait, hold on pause, I didn't mean it that way.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Next, it's dropped so much.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
It always is so much more time.

Speaker 6 (12:28):
I just got that, all right.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Next matchup Lions and Chiefs.

Speaker 11 (12:36):
All right, Chiefs are at Arrowheads, so they're the home team,
and they're actually favored over the red hot Lions. Right now,
Chiefs are favored by two and a half points.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
What do you think, Jonas, I'm gonna take Kansas City,
take Cans knocks looks Detroit. Everyone's all man, Detroit Man.
They don't need coordinators. They they got this whole thing
figured out. They've played a bucket of vomit so far.
That's their wins. When they played good teams, they lose
like Green Bay. It's gonna happen again this weekend. I
got Casey.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Money line.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Sticks picks.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yeah, let's go Detroit. What do you mean on who? Detroit?
Stand up? Detroit?

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Baby who?

Speaker 4 (13:24):
But I don't know, go with the bag of vomit.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Now, I'm gonna go with Casey. I'm laying a two
and a half here.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Whins wins. Detroit really played nobody.

Speaker 7 (13:38):
I'm really I'm really going to take a very very
nice Commanding League or I'm going to go down Ess Creek.
This is my this is the week. It's gonna go
one way or the other. It's all good though. I'm
willing to take the risk. I feel confident, all right.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Final final matchup Bears at Commanders.

Speaker 11 (14:03):
Remember this is the Monday night game. There's a Monday
night doubleheader. This is the second of the two. Commanders
are favored by four and a half points.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
What do you think, Jonas?

Speaker 6 (14:12):
This is tough for me, man, This is real tough
because I'm like looking at the matchups and the splits
and all that stuff, and I'm like, guess that, I'll
take the Bears, get knocks locks.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Why do you take a money line?

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Have you seen the Bears? Thank you?

Speaker 4 (14:36):
I mean, if you're taking them on the point.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
Talk, I'll give you the four points please, So they're
still going to lose, Yeah, more than four.

Speaker 7 (14:48):
I totally disagree with you. Not only are the Bears
going to lose, they're going to lose by more than four.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
Give me the almost just saying why not?

Speaker 7 (14:58):
I almost say it, give me the skins, But I'm
gonna say, give me the command give me the commanders.
They'll cover the sticks picks. Almost said skins though almost.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Dude, I'm not.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
I'm just saying I hate the state that I played for.
That's what almost said.

Speaker 9 (15:18):
He By the way, Jon, I'm gonna go with Var's
former team and lay the four n half.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Points twins, wins.

Speaker 6 (15:29):
I'm just saying, Bears coming back, Bears coming off of
bye week, getting there, getting a lot of guys back
healthy on defense, Jayden Daniels, not on.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
You know.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
What does that mean? Just like, let you know, we've
already made our picks.

Speaker 7 (15:43):
Like if you change it, are you trying to convince
yourself that you're you're correct.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
I'm good with my picks. I feel five though.

Speaker 7 (15:51):
I think the Bears had their opportunity of beating them
last year and they blew it.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
This year. Not so much.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
They got Okay, that happens.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
You made your pick.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
If you're right it is, and that is that is
our picks against the spread for for week six.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
And you could say, do what you love spreading them?

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Huh yeah, you gotta spread them, Okay.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
You love to be spread what I could dig it,
that's what you said.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
I told you that off air.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
I could dig it.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
All right, So we are going to uh do you
think you could take it?

Speaker 3 (16:32):

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Get a lot of text messages. Lorraine's dropped.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Yeah, they love it, right.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
They do love it. They do love it.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
What do they wonder is she a method actor?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Not going into that.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Ian was like, was that really you?

Speaker 6 (18:24):
I look, ver has got range, she does voiceover, actress
does good stuff.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
Should record a new one with LeVar doing it? Why
are we I thought I thought LaVar left.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Here?

Speaker 3 (18:42):
It goes.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yeah, CHOPPERO answer, Maybe depends on the time of day.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
My brother Tyrone won't.

Speaker 6 (18:53):
And for the record, I actually have a brother named Tyrone. No,
it is two pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio. No LeVar Arrington, but it's Brady Quinn.
It's Jonas Knox with the hair coming up in a
little over fifteen minutes from now. Somebody has decided, do

(19:16):
you know what we're good here with the NFL? Apparently
we don't need the NFL. The NFL you know, we're
gonna go ahead and stay where we are, So we'll
get into the details on that for you on Fox
Sports Radio. Do you want to let you know though,
that we are brought to you by the original Louisiana
Hot Sauce. It's the perfect balance of Pepper's vinegar and salt, wings, nachos, burgers,

(19:37):
hit any tailgate food with the bold, handcrafted flavor of
the original Louisiana Hot Sauce. That's Louisiana Hot.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Buy you some. So we have got Are you ready
to go with quinns wins. It's a good slate of games.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Yeah, but again, there is a good slate of games.

Speaker 9 (19:52):
One of them obviously is Oklahoma Texas, which we do
have to acknowledge before we get into the picks that
Jo Matier looks probable to play.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Do we have the sound to put?

Speaker 6 (20:05):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (20:06):
You go along with us? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (20:07):
Breventables, the head coach of Oklahoma, talking about the status
of Jamatr.

Speaker 8 (20:12):
I don't know anything about the injury. Uh so I'm
just when they tell me he's available, I'll let y'all know.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
You talk for us healthy the rest of the season.

Speaker 10 (20:22):
I'm preserving that.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Just how's that balance?

Speaker 8 (20:26):
I'm just lean on the doctors. I'm not an expert
in any of it. So literally, that's the extent of it.
John is doing no good on good work. So it's
Michael in wit right now. So something changes, I'll let
you know. But I think if you're gonna play, you

(20:48):
got to do good on good right, throw some scaley
and the ball off, you know, play on third downs.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
So I mean, I'm convinced I don't know any you know,
maybe Brian Daball should lean on the doctors.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
A little bit more as opposed to what Brett Vettibles is.

Speaker 9 (21:06):
Doing, like I don't understand, And just so people who
don't know. John Matsier, the quarterback for Oklahoma transferred to
from Washington State.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
He's been as advertised. Before he suffered the.

Speaker 9 (21:18):
Broken hand where he needed surgery, he was the odds
on favor for the Heisman, and it actually was pretty
definitive and clear. Now it's gotten extremely muddy, where I
don't know that we've ever had a year that was,
you know, this open like this right now, but a
lot of football left to be played. The point is
he was questionable earlier in the week, a lot of

(21:38):
the practices have been hard for the media to view,
and now he's been upgraded.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
To probable for the game.

Speaker 9 (21:45):
So I don't know if you read into that as
Texas should be preparing for him to start. There's no
doubt he changes the dynamics of this game if he does.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
I would say this.

Speaker 9 (21:58):
The College Football Playoff Committee and in their rankings, if
he did not play, they would take a loss to
Texas into consideration that their starting quarterback was not there
for So there is a bit of a risk in
playing Jeomesier if he's not one hundred percent or if
he hasn't been practicing, as Breton Venables just mentioned.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
So it's worth maybe be impatient with this. So I
don't know if it's game has been.

Speaker 9 (22:27):
Shipped and how they're trying to impact again, Texas's defensive
preparation for whatever quarterback Michael Hawkins Junior, who will take
over a very dynamic, dual threat quarterback. The offense won't
change drastically. But I mean, look, there's a reason why
they brought Johnmetsier in. He's that special of a player.
So we'll have to wait and see what ends up

(22:49):
happened on Saturday. But I still go back to the
thought if he doesn't play, you know, the committee's not
going to hold that against him in a loss. You know,
if he plays, you kind of run that risk.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
Then that's interested.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
I never actually put that together that you know you
almost would be. I don't want to say better serve
because you're a better.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Team with him, even like a Mulligan almost.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Yeah, yeah, that's.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
And that's that's a whole another dynamic that they've got
to think about when it comes to that.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
I also still can't pronounce the name of the game.
I tried to during the break just for practice.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
The red River Showdown, well, the red River Rivalry, the
red River Rivalry.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Yeah, there's just a lot going on there.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
But it's got to say it slow.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
Sorry, but yeah, So, I mean we'll see. Now, are
they going to be part of your picks? I mean,
are you bold enough to go down that road with
with this game with.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
The let's go to the picks, Like, let's check it out.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
All right, let's see what we got here. It's time
for winning.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Here's all illnesses it really does, I'm going to win.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
It's Quinn's win, all right.

Speaker 9 (23:53):
Let's review quickly. Week six went three and two. Of course,
the two losses, one being Penn State. I really thought
that was a layup. A UCLA team can't get a crowd,
couldn't even get a lead up until Penn State comes
to town and Penn State loses to UCLA as a
twenty four and a half point favorite.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (24:14):
Arguably one of the worst losses in Penn State history.
That one hurt and then Houston taking on Texas Tech.
I thought they could keep it within the numbers at
twelve and a half. They couldn't.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
That's just how dominant Texas Tech is. By the way, some.

Speaker 9 (24:29):
If they followed the picks, would see that TCU did
in fact cover versus Colorado. Now how they covered, I
feel like there was a little something on that. When
you're throwing a touchdown pass the twenty seconds left to
go up two scoreks might be a little bit of
a I don't want to say bad blood, but something
to that between Sundecks and Dion coach Deon Sanders.

Speaker 6 (24:51):
Let me ask you this, what percentage of coaches do
you think know the number going into a game?

Speaker 9 (24:57):
I would say almost one hundred nowadays.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Like yeah, they're they're aware of what the line is.

Speaker 9 (25:04):
By the way, Uh, But easiest win of the weekend
Clemson lane fourteen on the road to beat North Carolina,
which is in a state of disarray. And then how
about my Maryland Turpins covering the six and a half
spread at home versus U Dublet just keep an eye
on those Terps because it might be more in store.
All right, this week big one in Champagne, Illinois, Ohio

(25:26):
State laying fourteen Last time I checked on DraftKings if
you wouldn't mind double checking effort. Look, the secondary for
Illinois struggled this year. It's one of the reasons why
when they played SC I really thought sc would do
a better job of being able to exploit some of
that wasn't the case, and in fact, Illinois is getting
healthy in the secondary. Matthew Bailey should be back for
this game. Miles Scott, the quarterback, also back for this game.

(25:49):
So it's coming at the right time because Illinois has
been dreadful in stopping a passing attack and this is
obviously one of the most talented in the country. Look,
this Ohio State defense is probably the best in the
country based on what I've seen.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
So I'm laying the fourteen points.

Speaker 9 (26:03):
It's a lot of points for an early start on
the road, but this Ohio State team is special. So
lay the fourteen points with the Buckeyes to kick this
thing off.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Twins when it is still a four team.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
By the way, Okay, there we go.

Speaker 9 (26:19):
Next up and the SEC Bama headed to Columbia, Missouri
to take on Missoo, a team that I think is
you know, elike Drinkowitz has this program really going. We
talked about some of the issues of for bo Perbulah
with the transfer portal, having to make a decision at
a tough time of the year.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Last years Penn State was playing into the semi finals.

Speaker 9 (26:37):
And him having to leave the team to go to
Missou a better opportunity while he's there, and it's working
out pretty darn well for him so far. I will
say this, and watching back over the tape, I don't
feel like Miszoo threatens you quite as much downfield, and
because of that, I've got some concerns about what they
could do in this game. To me, it's all about
Alabama stopping a Mott Hardy, who was one of the
best running backs in the country. The sophomore has been phenomenal.

(27:02):
But I like Bama. I think you lay the three
points here, Calen de Born. This team has kind of
figured it out. Ty Simpson's playing some really good football.
They're starting to again get back to the team we
thought they were going to be at the beginning of the.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Year until they got surprised by Florida State.

Speaker 9 (27:17):
So lay the three points with Bama on the road.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Twins Whens.

Speaker 9 (27:26):
All Right, next one, a big one out in Lorenez,
home state, Oregon. We've got the Ducks Land seven points
versus Indiana. Now, look, these two teams have played really
well this year. Indiana, I think has just got off
to another fast start. Fernando Mendoz has been great. I
don't think they're built to beat Oregon. I actually love

(27:49):
this number, and if it was at ten, I would
lay the ten ten and a half points, maybe even
up to like twelve and a half. I think Oregon
takes care of business here. I think they're one of
the best teams in the country. Dante Moors played outstanding
so far for them, and defensively, there were some concerns
initially about their secondary If they can match up, they
will be just fine. Lay the seven points with the Ducks.

(28:11):
Don't even hesitate, don't even think about it.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Ducks twins wins some extra mph on that just a
little bit.

Speaker 9 (28:21):
Now, Next one up Maryland last week six and a half.
This week getting six and a half at home versus Nebraska.
Nebraska's got one of the more prolific paske attacks, so
does Maryland. Man they're playing some really good football. I
think books and people have underestimated just how good this
team is. This is a big game too for Nebraska,

(28:42):
who if you look at the schedule the rest of
the way, maybe a dark horse to find their way
into the College Football Playoff. They need to win here.
I'm not sure if they win or not, but I'll
say I'll say this much. I think Maryland keeps this
one close. I like Maryland getting the six and a
half points taking on the corn Huskers and look continuing
to be one of the better teams against the spread

(29:03):
this year. Wins wins, Alight, did you just do that live, Lorena?

Speaker 3 (29:14):
It's just like they did it.

Speaker 6 (29:17):
They did three different variations and she just keeps wearing
that one thin.

Speaker 9 (29:23):
Florida, they're headed down to College States take on Texas
A and M, a big one in the SEC. We
saw Florida knockoff Texas last week and one of the
things that I'm most impressed by is Florida's defense.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
I mean, they are lights out.

Speaker 9 (29:35):
You know, Brian Taylor junior, I believe he doesn't like
show up in a stack call him quite as much,
but this dude wreaks havoc and he requires a lot
of double teams. So really, impressed with the Florida front
Mike Alco. He's always been a great defensive mind. This
Texas A and M defense has been solid this year.
They've got some playmakers. The play in this game is

(29:57):
the under, the under of forty seven and a half.
This to me is a defensive battle, lowest scoring game.
It's gonna be tough for Florida to score points with
that twelve man involved too, So I like the under
of forty seven and a half between Florida at Texas
and M.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Twinns. Who will sum for everybody?

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I thought we got I thought we got rid of
that one.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Jonas said he wanted some of the islands back. You know,
I just complained about my drops. Yes, there was no complaint,
trust me.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
No one's complaining about your drops there.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
Well, then.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Twins wins.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
All right, one.

Speaker 9 (30:36):
More, one more for the weekend. It's been a lot,
but there's a lot of great games on. I wanted
to talk about some of some of the action in this.
Arizona State headed to Utah to take on the youth
Arizona States getting five and a half. They've been really
good this year though too, outside of their loss to
Mississippi State, which at the time people weren't sure how
to take that. Then we kind of found out Misssippi
State's much improved. Sam Levitt's been phenomenal at quarterback for

(30:58):
them this year. I was curious to see he would
be able to respond after having a big year last year.
But also this defense for Arizona State, I think they're
up for the challenge. We saw Utah bounce back after
that big loss they took to Texas Tech, Devin damp
here playing well.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
It's just too big of a number.

Speaker 9 (31:14):
I mean, I don't know that Utah can really get off,
you know, get out to a big lead versus Arizona
State defense. So I like it staying within the five
and a half points that Arizona State's getting.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
In this one. That's my play and that's Quinn's wins
for this week.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Quinns wins a couple of a couple of quick follow ups.

Speaker 6 (31:37):
Arizona State now catching seven and a half on DraftKings,
so you're getting seven and a half points.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
So that's gladly take that.

Speaker 6 (31:43):
Number gone up a couple of points there. Also, you're
picking against Illinois with a big noon kickoff back in
Champagne again.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
Thank you for drawing attention to that.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
Well, no, I'm just saying, did it have anything to
do with the fact that USC came up short last time?

Speaker 9 (32:03):
And maybe you're like, you know, no, in fact, that's
what made me hesitate and want to go the other direction,
because eventually, too you wonder about like slow starts. In fact,
you go back and watch the Washington game. You know,
Jed Fish really slowed down that game. In particular, I
want to say, I think Ohio State had like seven

(32:23):
possessions something ridiculously low, and they basically ran like the
four minute offense out the gate and then they just
they limited the opportunities.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
I think you'll see Illinois try to do something similar.
Even though Luke.

Speaker 9 (32:35):
Altmeyer's been phenomenal offensively, they've been really good, you know,
since that blowout lost Indiana. One of the things Illinois's
done is they've kind of thrown out some of the
other stuff that they were doing or trying to do
that wasn't working, and a lot more downhill direct runs,
you know, in between the tackles, more kind of that
gap scheme, and then and then they got some plays
to get to the outside. But in the running game,

(32:56):
so far, they've kind of simplified and then focused on
just being more physical and getting you know, up and
down the field, not trying to go horizontal quite as much.
And it's played off you know, big time for them.
So we will see how that how that works for
Ohio State again. This Ohio State team, man, they're just
it's different. It's hard to describe how good they are.

(33:16):
Kayden Curry is a monster off the edge. RVL Reese
can do like everything, and he looks like a freak.
I mean, and I say that in the most positive way.
That young man looks like he can play off the edge.
He can play off the off the ball. Their secondary
has been up for the task. Caleb Downs. You got
to know where he's at every single play. I mean,
they they can do whatever they want with him because

(33:39):
he's so good in coverage. He's so good blitzing, he's
so good with coverage recognition. And Matt Patricia's been underrated.
I think if you looked at one coach right now
who's kind of a runaway for the Broyles Award.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
It's probably Matt Patricia. He's done that good of a job.

Speaker 9 (33:52):
So different challenge than I think sc sc It was
kind of smoking mirrors and Hollywood kind of went and
try make it look like they're back or they're they're
a contender.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Ohio State's legit. This is the defending national champion.

Speaker 9 (34:06):
And a team that's been built with the kind of
foundation that can reload and go do it again.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
You're right, seven possessions in that game against Washington.

Speaker 9 (34:14):
Which is wild. I mean, on average you have about twelve.
Like that's like playing a service academy. Like when you
would when we would play Navy, We're like, all right,
we're gonna get the ball six times and and they're
gonna get they're gonna score on their opportunities, so you know,
you have to score.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
You know, it was like a math equation.

Speaker 9 (34:29):
You're like, all right, we're gonna have to score you know,
you know, touch you know, five touchdowns in order to
feel like we're gonna be in a good spot because
we know our defense is probably gonna give up at
least three. Like it's just it's tough to stop those
sorts of academies, that style of offense. And that was
always like you know, the math equation, how that usually worked.

Speaker 6 (34:47):
It is a two pros and a Cup of Joe
Here on Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you here. No, LeVar Arrington, he is off for the
rest of the day. He is in route to in appearance.
But Quinn and I will take you all the way

Speaker 9 (35:00):
And I thought maybe he just went back to bed,
because sometimes, you know LeVar, he loses sleep, especially when
someone's like.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Moving around and all that.

Speaker 9 (35:07):
And if you're losing sleep like LeVar, every time it's
someone moves in ben matches from sleep experts, they'll match
you with the temper looks, adapt it's temper material and
absorbs motion for an undisturbed rest. Visit match from today
and upgrade to a temper peedic it makes sleep easy.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (35:24):
Coming up next year on the show, we're going to
tell you about somebody who apparently is like, no, we're
good here, we don't need the NFL. That'll be yours
right here on FSR.

Speaker 12 (35:34):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Yeah, Return of the Mac.

Speaker 6 (35:46):
This weekend for sure, especially if brock Perty's not available.
Two pros and a cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming up top
of next hour a little over ten minutes from now.
Yesterday in the world of sports made things make sense

(36:06):
for an entire city and an entire fan base. We'll
get into that for you again coming up here a
little over ten minutes from now. By the way, we
are brought to you by DraftKings sportsbook and official sports
betting partner of the NFL, and right now use the
promo code two pros to claim your special offer at DraftKings.
That's promo Code two PROS at DraftKings.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
The Crown is yours. Also, can I ask you.

Speaker 6 (36:29):
This, somebody who lived in South Florida for a long time,
If you were Mac Jones and you had cramp issues
in LA, wouldn't you think that maybe that might be
an issue coming up at Tampa this weekend as well too.
But maybe they should get in, get there, get a
wrap on that, and make sure he doesn't have any

(36:50):
cramps with his don joy on against the Bucks this weekend.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
It feels like that could.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Do you think that's the issue.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
Well, I mean he was grabbing the back of his leg.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
Kirk Curvestreet thought, you know, he was like a racehorse
that had been put down, but he was grabbing the
back of his leg, and you know, just wondering if
maybe the knee brace coused some cramping there.

Speaker 9 (37:09):
So I do love the exaggeration of Bananaca during that game.
I think you said he ate like eleven.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Yes, I ate like three.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Is that even possible? Like, is anybody even able to
do that?

Speaker 2 (37:19):
I don't think judge, unless you're a gorilla, probably not.

Speaker 6 (37:23):
By the way, speaking of the NFL, what do you
make of this? According to Dade Hayes of Deadline dot com,
Netflix's co CEO Greg Peters was at the Bloomberg screen
Time conference and he was asked whether or not they
would be making a bid for the NFL media rights
when they become available in twenty thirty, and he said, quote,

(37:45):
it doesn't really fit with our strategy. We want to
be disciplined. Now they're already doing games on Christmas, like
they've already dipped their tone into that water. They're doing
Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, they're doing all these other or
sporting events.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
They've got Monday Night Raw for the WWE. Why wouldn't
they want to be a part of the NFL.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (38:08):
I mean, I'm not sure if their experience with the
NFL so far makes them feel like they won't have
as much control as they'd want to have. I'm not
sure if it's been the experience. I'm not sure if
it even if they're you know, not bluffing, they could
be bluffing about what their intentions are. I mean, they
can always come in and with a strong bid at
some point later on, but I think the NFL wants

(38:30):
partners where if they're in, they're all in.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
And not that the NFL like.

Speaker 9 (38:35):
Would take over Netflix, but it's the biggest sport in
our country. You know, that shield represents something that it's
like a co branding. It's not like you're gonna you know,
like Netflix in and of itself has always been fantastic
for their original content, and I think that's the direction
they want to go. So they probably look at some
of these live events as or even like Christmas, as

(38:58):
more promotional. Like, yes, they they get to do a
Christmas NFL game, but it's probably in promotion of whatever
coming is coming out next right that that they're trying
to sell to that that's probably how they view it
at least as of.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Right now, but that could change. This is, you know,
five years away.

Speaker 6 (39:14):
I mean, I think their their presentation of their live
sporting events has gotten better and better, like since the beginning,
like just the look, the feel of it, Like, I
think they've gotten actually really good at it. So yeah,
I would be surprised if you know, by that time,
you know, they're not dipping their tone in the water
again here, It would be a little bit.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
There's a lot of time things change, you know.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Yeah, I mean who knows.

Speaker 6 (39:36):
I mean, there could be all sorts of new apps
out there for everybody, you know.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
I mean, yeah, true, it is.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
There's a lot, a lot to go for
