All right, So, one of the storylines of the NFL
this week was Tua Tagovailoa coming out and calling out
players for showing up late to team meetings and basically
just highlighting more of the dysfunction there in Miami. Apparently

(01:39):
that did not sit well with teammates, that did not
sit well with people within the organization, and so Tua
addressed the situation yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
As a leader of this team of the Miami Dolphins.
You know the comments that had been said, I would say,
I've made a mistake, and I'm owning up to that
right now. You know, I've talked to to guys on
the team about it, talk to the leaders about it, and.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
They know my heart. They know that the intent was right.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
But you know, the intent can be right, but when
things get misconstrued or however the media wants to portray it,
you know that that leaves a void of silence and
a lot of questions for the guys on our team.
Now being one and five, you know, we talk a
lot about all right, we got to get this going.
We got to get this going, come in excited to

(02:29):
go to work, forget about the noise. And I feel
like I just added onto that for our guys. You know,
for myself, I got to look at myself as the
leader protecting the team. I don't feel like I did
that to the best of my abilities. I felt like
I let the emotions of the game get to me
after the game. And you know that's something that I

(02:50):
can learn from as a leader on this team. And
what happens in house should be protected and none of
that should have gotten out. And so want a publicly
apologize about that. I want to move forward and now
I want to focus on Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
So onto the Browns we go. But still the mess
is there, and it just feels like we're just delaying
the inevitable. There's gonna be changes. This is going to
be a precursor to a lot of these changes, and
it's just more logs on the fire, so to speak.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
When it comes to the Sas he said this Sunday, right,
and then he made these comments yesterday.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, so it took him like three.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Days to figure it out, and he was probably gonna
have to walk that back a little bit crazy.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
He had to experience whatever he's experiencing to walk it back,
is what what?

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Well?

Speaker 4 (03:39):
I was thinking, it's kind of like Jonahs just figuring
out YouTube multiview.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
It's late to the party.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Yeah, Like it was like, all right, man, I figured
this would have been like Tuesday or Monday, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Yeah, as soon as I heard the quotes, I was like, man,
it's bad.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
That's bad.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
That's bad when you come out and you say those
types of things, like nobody like guys are super competitive
in locker rooms, and some are very very prideful guys.
And everybody has like their different vantage points of how
they view things, how they react to things, just just different.

(04:23):
And when somebody comes out and there's a calling out
of sorts in the public forum, public domain consumption, you've
basically told us in the locker room that you're more
important than us, Like you're more important, what you feel,

(04:46):
what you think, what you do. You So if you
think you're more important than me, then that means that
there's a removal of yourself as it applies to us
being together that's it's not I can't see I can't
trust or have a teammate that I feel that way about.

(05:06):
And I can guarantee you dudes in that locker room
when they heard that and like, oh, he's talking about you.
Bro oh he's talking about me? Like who is he
talking about? Now that becomes the conversation, that becomes a discussion.
And while he's not wrong for the things he's calling out,
he's wrong for putting it in the public for the

(05:29):
media to take take shape of it and take hold
of it however they want to take it and define it.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
That was wrong in him to do.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
But as far as apologizing, I just I just think
at this point it's kind of late to be apologizing.
Like you said, today's Thursday, like that came out yesterday.
It's it's that's kind of late. That's late. And what's
crazy is the best way for him to approach it
would be to approach the team only type of setting

(06:01):
and explain to them and apologize to them for what happened.
But now that plays out behind closed doors, that doesn't
get put out in the public. He said, he put
himself in a very compromising state.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
You asked me can we try like role playing real quick,
like what that would sound like locker room? Just to
give people an idea, you know of uh you know,
maybe I'll just kind of make or regurgitate some of
to his comments and then you could be that prideful
you know player in the locker room who just heard
what he said and how I would respond?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Are you up for that?

Speaker 6 (06:32):
Right?

Speaker 2 (06:34):
But like I need more emotion. I don't know, I
don't want the o G.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
I want that the uh you know, the fired up guy,
like the prideful one that's upset the way he just said.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
But still maybe young not a OG, but younger.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
Cause yeah, yeah, all right, all go, we're going are
all right?

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Well yeah, I mean players aren't showing up the player
only meetings. You know, guys aren't on time for player.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
On only meetings.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
I mean it's it's killed each other accountable, you know,
it's just it's not what we're doing.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
On this team, and you know it's why we won.
And five.

Speaker 7 (07:16):
He somebody tells stupid to shut up.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
We need guys who were showing up ready to play,
making sure they know, you know, what they're supposed to execute,
you know, listening to coach do when things we're asking for.

Speaker 8 (07:35):
Hey, somebody bring him some milk.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
To old man, he's sanging somebody bringing some milt.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
You go ahead, this in the look that you go ahead.
This in the background, you go ahead this in the background.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Who does this?

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Mom ef?

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I think he is man?

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Who is bro? He wanted to come over here like that?

Speaker 1 (08:03):
He trying to get you.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Fine, bro, Bro, I'm gonna make sure I come in
there and whoop that mother better.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I'll walk past my locker one walk past right now?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
No catch you super late.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yeah we will man, jump ass in the parking lot.

Speaker 8 (08:18):
Man.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
What was he doing? Man, I'm telling you that he
probably tries with four flats on.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
He's gonna need that full self driving mode after woolbaz
As was.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
His address again. By the way, do you think.

Speaker 8 (08:35):
Do they get anybody brought in.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
The fact that he threw three picks in that game
as well, too, right?

Speaker 5 (08:42):
You know they went after it like you know the
bro you threw three interceptions that game.

Speaker 8 (08:47):
Shut up, stupid boy, Brady. Were you throwing my name?
And because you're insinua and you're gonna.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Beat my ass?

Speaker 4 (08:55):
No, I'm just trying to get you involved in the conversation.
I'm here, I'm here trying to get you in, man,
I try to try. I thought you were gonna tag
team in maybe join lavarn.

Speaker 8 (09:05):
I was thinking about going with a boom.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
There you go, There you go, in all seriousness.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
To Jonas's point, though, that was what struck me as
most odd was the timing of those comments.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
It's like, oh, I.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Mean, even if all three picks aren't on you, it's
on you. The box score on you, and you got
it as a quarterback. Just take the blame. Like the
two people and someone had to cut up of Kevin Stefanski,
which was awesome, and they're like, well, you must be
on the hot seat because like every single time they've lost,
he's been like, it's on me, it's on our staff.

(09:40):
We have to do a better job of preparing them. Like,
that's a guy who's won multiple Coach of the Year
awards for a reason. That's a guy who gets players
to play for him for a reason, Because he's never
gonna walk up to a podium and he's gonna he's
not gonna point the fingers somewhere else. You know, he's
not gonna say, well, you know, they should have done this,
or they didn't. They didn't do this, this is why

(10:01):
we didn't win. He literally takes it on himself first,
and if there's anything that's pointed at a player or
even a coach, he's usually deflecting it. It's one of
the reasons why, like the Raiders last week, obviously before
they win this past week, you know, there's a little
back and forth of Pete Carroll and Ship Kelly a
bit surprising Pete Carroll getting on publicly about the play calling.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
The irony to that is Brendan Carroll.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
His son is the run game coordinator, a new line coach,
so like he's a part of that. But I got
a little snippy going back and forth, and look, maybe
that's the relationship. Maybe behind you know, closed doors, they're fine,
they're okay with it. But then Chip Kelly kind of
fired back about it not being about to play calling,
and obviously, you know the defensive struggles and all that.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
So, look, a win.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Solves everything, it cures all illnesses. If Miami beats Cleveland
this week, this will die down, This will calm down.
But if not, it's more pressure on Mike McDaniel. And honestly,
I would say this whole to a thing this week.
The one thing that's done is it's kind of a
lot of Mike with Daniel to fly under the radar. Yeah,
Like we haven't talked about him all this week. It's

(11:10):
been mostly too.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Truth because I could maybe I'm reading it wrong, but
I can understand if Mike McDaniel came out and made
those comments that would have been taken differently than one
of your own who's supposed to be the leader of
the team, who basically just aired averything.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
I'm going to push back on that, and I'm gonna
say that becomes more of a volatile situation if your
head coach starts calling out his players like that personal,
that's personal, that's personal to the guys that are involved
with it. You can't be the guy that says, block
out all the noise and it's just us and us

(11:49):
against the world and all that. When you're sitting there
and your actions don't reflect that and what you're doing
with the media, I think it would be worse. It'd
be just as it'd probably be worse if a head
coach was doing that to his player. So if Mike
McDaniel did what Tua just did, I think you, you're

(12:11):
potentially I think it first of all, sends a message
to the public that this dude is not like he
doesn't have it anymore. Secondly, you run the potential of
in reality you lose that locker room.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
But we've seen coaches speak to the team through the
media before. Phil Jackson used to do it all the time,
Like they would make comments through the media that was like, hey,
did you hear coach had this to say or coach
had that to say? When it's your quarterback who comes
out after a three pick game and starts airing everybody out,
by the way, the same guy who got on Tyreek
Hill for his behavior last year, the same guy who

(12:46):
was very critical about how Tyreek Hill was handling himself
and then he airs everybody out like that. I don't
how do you come back from that from a trust standpoint.
If you're somebody else on that, that's the thing.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
You've You've destroyed the truck a team like that's not
You're not like somebody I bang with, Like after you
just said what you just said, Like you you've told
us how you feel about us, you don't have no problem.
Like even if I'm not the guy that's doing it.
I still feel like some guys need a little bit

(13:19):
more love, some guys need a little bit more assisting in,
a little bit more more mentorship, like and those are
generally the guys that are missing those meetings. Those are
generally the guys that need to be talked to a
little bit more. You're not You're generally not going to
have a season vet miss. Players only mean. First of all,

(13:41):
they knows the they want to know what's going on. Like,
the smarter you are, you'll see that, the wiser you get,
you want to be a part of these meetings because
I want to know what the hell is going on?
Like what what's really going on right now? Like what what?
What are people thinking? You want to call this this
players only meaning great, I'm i'nna be sitting up in
there listening. I might not say a word. I'm gonna

(14:03):
be listening though, because I want to hear what's going on.
So it's generally going to be a younger dude that
isn't showing up to that type of a meeting. Could
be a popular guy, could be a really really talented
guy on the roster, that's possible. Could be guys that
are like you know, fringe guys that could be on
the team or not be on the team. Like, there's
elements of guys that are showing up late or not

(14:25):
showing up at all, and we don't have that context.
So it's just irresponsible to put it out there because
you don't even know the true context of the people
who are showing up and the people who aren't showing up,
So that's left to interpretation. You can assume whoever it
is you want to assume, you know who, You're not
going to assume Tua, think about it. You're not gonna

(14:49):
assume it's Ta that's late or missing the meeting. Why
cause he's the one that's calling it out. So you've
basically separated yourself from everybody else because there's no content,
so everybody else can be a target. You could assume
it's Tyreek Hill or or you could say it's Chop Robinszon,
whatever whoever it is you want to assume. You can

(15:10):
assume any of those people because there's no context connected
to Is it Chop No, I mean, I don't know,
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
I'm just throwing out an example. Let's let's call him.
That was the one thing to me. It's family business
should be kept in house like any anything like that.
And that's the one thing I always admired about Belichick
and the Patriots, the Malcolm Butler benching in the super
Bowl not playing him in the super Bowl. To this day,
we still don't know why. Nobody has an answer why.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Seriously, like JFK, Malcolm Butler, nobody's super Bowl. Like you
can go through a list of things, like it's like,
it's wild that that never has gotten out what it
was or even if the explanation was what I've like
heard that it was just as simple as that.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
But to that point, it's a great point. And there's
also and that was the same offseason where they let
him go in free agency and he went and he
got the big money deal with the Titans, and ultimately
I think he came back to the Patriots later on
in his career to where they, you know, trust him
to bring him back. But that was like guys going
into free agency, Belichick probably couldn't let that get public

(16:14):
and air him out, and the Titans be like, man,
we're not giving this guy that kind of money if
he's going to behave like that before the biggest game
of the Year, kept his mouth shut. Nobody ever said anything.
It just it feels like everybody in Miami and is
known for a long time how this whole thing's going
to end. Mike McDaniel is probably going to get fired
and they're going to be looking for another coach and

(16:36):
it's going to be a mess in trying to find
whoever it is to take over a team who's now
apparently got a quarterback. The guys don't trust. That just
feels like about sums it up. That about sums it up,
and there ain't back in the in the tube. It's
out after this week.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
If Miami loses, do you guys get the sense that
maybe there's gonna be a change coming. I mean, we've
talked about this before. I don't think that does anything
for you as an organization in the NFL to move
on from a coach now. I think it only makes
it harder for a lot of those players that if

(17:19):
they're on the fence and they're really only a pay
for playing for the paycheck, then most of those guys
kind of check out. But look, maybe they look at
Anthony Weaver as a potential replacement who's on their staff
as defensive coordinator and they want to give him a shot.
But I look at the Dolphins as the team that

(17:39):
I think is the most likely if they make a change,
it'll happen sometime in the next couple of weeks. Like
they're that next team that I'm looking at saying, all right,
we just saw Brian Callahan get clipped.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
It feels like they would be the next team that
would make a move. Maybe I'm wrong.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Maybe it's comes to fans the Browns, although I think
you look at what they've done with their roster, and
I don't know how they're pointing out in the whole
blame game, but I'm pretty sure Andrew Berry is responsible
for the construction of the roster. So maybe they're looking
at trading away Flacco and trading away PICKT and more
favorably in house. Because on the outside, if you go

(18:19):
back and you play Cincinnati and Flacco winds up dicing
you up, like that's going to look really bad on
whoever's decision that was to move on for him, which
I'm pretty positive was SA Andrew Berry.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Do you think that to him making the comments and
then for them to turn around a week later and
firing the head coach would send a message to the
locker room that Ay two was in George. Yeah, like
he calls the show. I wonder if that actually bought
Mike McDaniel some time to where As you mentioned earlier,
the heat's not on him right now, the heat's on
the quarterback. Maybe that bottom some time.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
He certainly needs to play better. When you come out
in the media and say those things, I mean, he's
put the bulls eye on himself. So really, in theory,
everybody's off the hook for now. I can do whatever
they want to do, whatever they want. You think they
shut up late to the team meeting again. I want
to come back on to the players only meeting. They
probably just shut up. But fifteen twenty minutes late I

(19:12):
get that. VI's like, get a visual on my head
or what to of? I see? Look there they go again.
Like he that dude that go run into the boss
and be like boss, like they laid again. He shut up?

Speaker 8 (19:28):
Stupid.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
You know what The toughest part about this is, though,
is and tell me if I'm wrong.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
But this is my perspective from the quarterback side of things.
Defensive players respect you when you play tough as a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
When you get knocked around, you get the crap kicked
out of you, and you keep getting back up like
there's a respect even if the play isn't great. I mean,
obviously you'd love it to be the guy out there
slinging it, playing with all that stuff, But when you're
constantly getting up, I mean I kind of look at
like Baker Mayfield and how fiery he gets sometimes after

(20:03):
he gets knocked down or gets into whether he's scrambling
or whether he gets you know, hit, or something happens
when he pops back up and he's kind of yapping.
It's not just the offense gets fired up. The defense
gets fired up, I think too, because they see that
as well. And I think that's one of the issues
with two is he's kind of fragile in the sense
of just how he has to play, and you're always like, oh,

(20:24):
is it going to be like the next hit because
of the previous injuries and concussions. Even though like he's
he's been tough enough to play through a lot, there's
just kind of that thought where like he's also missed
time and has kind of been fragile in that way.
Like to me, I think That's one of the things
where if you look at the locker room dynamics, it's
probably hard for a lot of those guys on defense

(20:46):
to feel as.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Like they got his back.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Or or they're more confident in him when they're not
sure like which hit could take him.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Out of the game?

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Yeah, I think so there's that as it, But then
there's the aspect of like what are you doing? Like
like if I was his teammate, if I was his
teammate and I was like an older teammate, if I
was an older teammate, I would go to him. I
go to him, be like, what are you doing? Bro?

(21:19):
Like you do understand how important you are to our team?
Like you can't do that. You can't have mental lapses
like that, my guy, Like your your reputation and how
people feel about you is super important in that locker room,
man for our success.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
What are you doing?

Speaker 8 (21:40):
Shut up stupid?

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Like why why?

Speaker 5 (21:42):
Like we got to figure out how we fix this, bro,
because you got dudes that just don't you know, Like
you can't just you can't just you can't just ignore that.
You can't breeze over if you've if you've rubbed, or
if you come across wrong to to the rest of
the locker room.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
It's just it's just got to make sure guys are
coming to players meetings. You know, we have guys who
are missing players meetings. We have guys who you know,
aren't showing up on time and aren't doing the things
we're asking them to do. What are they say in
the background.

Speaker 8 (22:15):
Well, I say, shut up, stupid, boo.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Boo boo.

Speaker 8 (22:23):
That man a man, Somebody get him off stage. Oh brother,
this guy stinks stage stupid, shut up, nummy.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Oh my god. They wouldn't say it in those words either,
about it.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Yeah, they would say some other words.

need anything, Power rankings you need? You need Jesus to
two pros and he wasn't so distracted. Maybe you'd know
that YouTube TV has had multiview for a while.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Now.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Listen, man, I knew what multiview was. I've used it.
I just didn't know you had the freedom to pick
and choose what you wanted I thought it was exclusive
to whatever. Listen manfl It's okay.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
I'm sure there's people on social media who agree with you,
who alsow a caveman like you are.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
It's okay.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
There's also not a lot of great games on at
one time to watch. I got greedy last night. I
wanted to see some Sam Houston State UTEP.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Yeah you did.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Yeah, all right, So coming up, we are going to
hand out an award here on the show. That'll be

really does. I'm going to win. It's Quinn's wat Yeah. Yeah,
that's right.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Let's go on.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
In the weekday college football, come get you some right,
come on snore last week.

Speaker 8 (26:49):
Last week, it wasn't a great week two three and one.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
By the way, the Texas A and m FLOIDA game,
the overrunner was set at forty seven and a half
the total on the BEG four eight.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
How good is Vegas?

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Man?

Speaker 2 (27:02):
How good is Vegas?

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Is the one?

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Also that kind of was a little messed up.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
Kenny Dillingham playing it close to the vest with quarterback
Sam Levitt. The news really didn't come out he wasn't
playing until after we made the pick. So obviously Utah
demolished Arizona State. That was a tough one. So on
the season so far, right now, sub five hundred. I
feel like I'm Jonas Knox fifteen twenty one and two.
So we gonna play a little catch up, a lot
of games for you. I'm gonna roll through them quick.

(27:29):
LSU at Van Dy. LSU's getting two and a half
points here. This is a tough stretch for both these teams,
both LSU and Vandy. They play three top twenty five
teams in the SEC the next three weeks, so called
these some elimination games. I do think the SEC gets
a nine to three team in I don't know that
it will be either one of these two. But in
this one, I like LSU getting the two and a

(27:49):
half points on the road in Vanderbilt. This LSU defense
has been nasty, five sacks their last time out versus
the Leonora Sellers at South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
The offense is not come along.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
I do believe that Garrett nel Smyer at some point
we'll have that breakout game where he's the player that
we saw a bit last season. So take the two
and a half points in LSU on the road here.
Next up in ann Arbor the Washington Huskies. They're getting
five and a half points taking on the Wolverines. After
getting that physical beatdown they took from Southern Cal they

(28:21):
go back home, and I'll ask the question Schroan Moore
eleven and seven. Eleven and seven is his head coaching
record so far in Michigan. Kind of flowing under the
radar of like one of the spots of like, all right,
if they lose this one, still got to play Ohio
State at the end of the year. How we feel
in Michigan fans. But I like you Dub getting the
five and a half points here. Demal Williams a quarterback

(28:42):
for Washington. I'm gonna talk this young man up as
much as I can. He's a legit playmaker, can absolutely
sling the rock. Jonah Coleman in the backfield, Denzel Boston,
It's gonna be tough to stop. And look, I'm a
big fan of Bryce Underwoo two. You don't like the
offensive game plan last week. I haven't really liked what
Chip Lindsay's done this entire season, So some concerns there.

(29:03):
Not saying Washington wins, but I think they can keep
it within that number. Next up Old Miss, They're red
to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. Old Miss
is getting six and a half in this one. To me,
this is gonna be a tighter game. George has really
struggled to throw the football. They can run it. Old
Miss knows that they will stack the box to stop them.
The creativity of the Old Miss offense, I think they

(29:24):
keeps them close in this one. Not winning, but close.
Take the six and a half points at Old Miss.
Next up Oregan laying sixteen and a half points on
the road at Rutgers.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Like this Rutgers team has.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Improved from what they've been this to me, though, is
a get right spot for Dan Lanning and his crew.
And I know they have to go all the way
from the west coast all the way to the east coast.
I don't think they'll have any problem covering this big
of a number versus Rutgers. They know they've got to
make up some ground in the minds of all those

(30:01):
of the College Football Playoff Committee. So I think Oregon
wins big at Rutgers, lay the sixteen and a half.
Next up Penn State getting three points at Iowa. I
know they're witho Drew Aller. I know they've fired their
head coach, James Franklin. I think Penn State responds, you
take the three points if you want, and bet money line.

(30:22):
This Penn State team is not gonna die. They're not
gonna just go away. I think they take care of
business in Iowa City versus those Hawkeyes. Next up Texas
laying eleven and a half in Lexington taking on Kentucky.
Texas off a big win for Oklahoma. Some people would
call this a hangover game, right, you get the big
win versus the rival, you go back into Kentucky that

(30:44):
has no aspirations sleepy that time here no, Texas knows
they have to also hit the accelerator. They've got a
tough schedule ahead. They cover the eleven and a half number.
Arch Manning starting to play some better football. Not a
lot of people are talking about it, but that's the true.
So Texas covers eleven and a half.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Next up.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
I've been riding Maryland all year long. I'll keep saying it.
I love the league Washington. This kid is a superstar,
all right, true freshman slinging it around. And also there's
some young talented defensive players there on Maryland. They can
get it done on that side of the ball. It's
been a great run for UCILA, all right, it's been great.
But this is where it comes to an end. Maryland

(31:24):
getting three points at UCLA. We know there's no home
crowd advantage at all there.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Maryland not only.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Covers, but gets the win against nico Ia, Maliava and crew.
And finally the Holy War Utah getting three of BYU
what I know, byus undefeated and we were there for
the Utah collapse Versus Texas Tech.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Oh my goodness, I hope there's that much of a
difference between these two teams.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
Two of the top scoring teams in the Big twelve,
two of the top defensive teams in the Big Twelve.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
To me, though, this is about Kyle Whittingham.

Speaker 8 (31:58):
Yeah, the old ball, the guy who's done it forever.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
And you know what he's gonna do.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
He was gonna say they got a true freshman at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Bear Backmeyer.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
I'm gonna load up the box, I'm gonna stop the run.
I'm gonna force this young true freshman to try to
beat us and beat my guy, Devin damp Here, and
I don't think he can do it. You take Utah
in the three points. Don't be shocked if Utah doesn't win.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Outright, they're your picks for week.

Speaker 8 (32:27):
Wins wins time, all right.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
It's going to be a better week for you player.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Now.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
I will say this a lot of people, all right,
they're probably like, why aren't you picking Notre damesc you know,
last potential chance they'll they'll play.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
I don't like the number. It's it's a it's a
really big number.

Speaker 9 (32:46):
To me.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
It's nine and a half points. Last time I checked. Jonas,
you can double check on that.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
But Notre Dame will be without their starting center for
the rest of the season Ashton Craig. I think there's
a bit of a learning curve there. Southern Cow's better
in the tier their defensive line. I do see a
scenario where Notre Dame runs away with it if the
defense has truly made the improvements that we saw last
week versus NC State.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
And obviously everyone knows I think the world of CJ. Carr.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
He's an absolute star. We've got weapons on the outside.
We've got Jeremiah Love who'll be coming up later on
the show, along with Jendarian Price in the backfield, Eli
Rared and their tight ends come along.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
All that being said, it's a rivalry game, and I
do feel like there's some momentum for.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Southern Cal coming off of that victory versus Michigan where
they were more physical they could push Michigan around. I
think they carry that into a tighter game versus Notre Dame.
So stayed away from it. Never would want to actually
say that I'm taking the points at sc but that
line is way too big to me. It's I think
nine and a half I would put it if I

(33:49):
was handicapping this game at three and a half. Four
and a half, that's how close I think that the
game will be. I could be dead wrong again sub
five hundred this year, but that's how I see that game.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
And then what do you like on the total? Because
if that's the case, why don't we just tease it?

Speaker 4 (34:04):
I would have if I was well over nun of
sixty and one and a half. I think it'll be
a high scoring game. I think it will be a
little bit of a back and forth game. You know,
Makai Lemon people have been draped on like a coat
and the kids still mix catches. Jane Milva's legs are
gonna be a problem, you know. King Baxter ca the

(34:24):
cat the big time last week for SC with both
their first and second string running backs out. So I
do think there'll be some balance there. You know, Lincoln
Roley's going to screen everyone to death, that's what he does.
I would take the over of the total. I feel
pretty confident about that. And then, however you end up
teasing it, you know, I would obviously, you know, tease

(34:47):
it where you could get Notre Dame favored in that case,
or at.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Least down to that number, down to three and a half,
and then they can get the over of fifty five
and a half not bad. Yeah, shopping there. Yeah, also
a couple of interesting So the Utah line, I'm showing
Utah minus three and a half.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
So was that the opening minus three? What did I say?

Speaker 1 (35:09):
It was plus three and a half. But good news,
Washington went up a half point, so you're getting six there,
Ole miss is plus seven and a half. Now, Texas
moved to minus twelve and a half and Maryland plus
three and a half.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Who they have?

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Maryland's got u cla.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
That minus three and a half now, yeah, three.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
And a half. The Holy War? Interesting Holy War.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
By the way, there's already a guy this is actually
kind of serious who got arrested for making social media threats.
A big, big Utah fan or claims to be a
Utah fan. But that is a heated, heated robbery.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Very interesting. I mean, did you see what happened to
the Brewers fan at the Brewers Dodgers game. This lady,
this Dodger fan, was filming like the the Brewers fans
being all quiet behind him because he was the only
Dodger fan in the section. It turns out he was
traveling on business and he was in Chicago and just
drove down because he wanted to see the Dodgers, or
drove up rather and some lady on video said that's okay,

(36:20):
we'll just call ice on you, and the video went
viral and she lost her job. She was like the
chairman of a Make a Wish foundation. Oh wow, people
got to relax, man like, you have no you have
no control over how that game goes. He just just relax,
watch it, enjoy it, be entertained by gamble on it.

(36:41):
If you was then ruined your whole life over so much,
literally over over a Brewer's game two loss, all gone,
how do you recover from that?

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Well, here's the other thing. Do you recover from that?

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Was a nice mattress? Yeah, sometimes you can get a
nice mattress. That's how you get recover. You if you're
losing sleep every time someone moves in bed, or you're
making ice threats, matches from sleep experts. Hey, they'll match
you with the temper lux adapt. It's temper material absorbs
motion for undisturbed rest and also takes out any hate
in your heart because it matches from today that great
act to a.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Temper peedick and sleep easy, Well done, all right, coming
up coming up.

Speaker 8 (37:20):
Next here, let the hate out let it out, Let
that hate out.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Coming up next year in two pros and a Cup
of Joe, we are going to hand out an award
on this show. It is a Thursday tradition here and
it's yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 5 (37:34):
Everything just hits different after a football win. Let the
food taste better, you guys know, messing We will. Hey,
the drakes are colder. And the hot sauce, oh yeah,
it's that hot sauce that makes it super amazing. And

(37:58):
it's called the original. You got that right, the original
Louisiana hot sauce. Nothing brings the heat like your team
getting a dub, but nothing brings the flavor like that bold,
handcrafted kicks straight.

Speaker 8 (38:11):
Out of Louisiana.

Speaker 5 (38:13):
It's a kick of peppery peppers, vinegar and salt that
our Louisiana flavor masters have been blending perfectly for almost
one hundred years. It'll turn every good meal into a
great meal, and every great meal into a party. On
your plate, wings, nachos, burgers, don't matter Jonah's likes putting

(38:33):
it on clam chowder. I don't care what you put
it on. It's gonna be good, especially if it's that
original Louisiana Hot Sauce. Come on now after a Sunday
winn and suddenly, well, that original Louisiana Hot Sauce taste
and flavor is unbeatable, like a touchdown on your tongue.

Speaker 8 (38:53):
Whoo.

Speaker 5 (38:54):
And hey, if your team didn't pull off the wind
this week, don't worry about it. Pour some one anyway.
He's the pay. That's what we call a victory formation
for your taste buds, the original Louisiana Hot Sauce.

Speaker 8 (39:07):
That's Louisiana Hot. Bye you zoom.

Speaker 6 (39:11):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here.

Speaker 8 (39:31):
Coming up top of next hour.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
A little over ten minutes from now, we will have
a h It's the same old story in the NFL,
the easiest thing to fix, and they won't seemingly fix it,
and now people are pissed off about it. That'll be
yours here again a little over ten minutes from now,
but right now it is time for something we do
every single Thursday on this show. It is time for
our Express Pros Pro of the Week and the Pro

(39:54):
of the Week This week goes too were standing.

Speaker 8 (39:56):
Goal to go Scotty.

Speaker 7 (39:58):
The Homes kicks and he's into the end zone. Touchdown,
keeping the ball on the option pending the penalty. It
looks like offside against the Detroit Lions. Touchdown Cansus City
Maholmes with the rushing touchdown, the Homes in.

Speaker 8 (40:12):
The pocket darts it your side talk touchdown.

Speaker 7 (40:15):
Chansas City Tully Wallett Brown is having a night and
the Chiefs answer a touchdown with the touchdown to go
up twenty six seventeen, nine thirty.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
To go on the game Chiefs Radio Network on the
calls Patrick Mahomes. Three touchdowns another on the ground, four
in total and a big win for the Kansas City
Chiefs on Sunday Night football over the Detroit Lions. He
is our Express Pros Pro of the Week. Business fluctuations
make running your manufacturing business complex, but staffing your business

(40:47):
doesn't have to be. Let Express Employment Professionals provide the workforce.
You need go to expresspros dot com find the location
here you that's expresspros dot com. And I think, if
I'm not mistaken, last checked, Patrick Mahlmes is now the
MVP favorite in the NFL based in that sense, and
Josh Allen Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:08):
By the way, we did have someone to point out
that Detroit, excuse me, Kansas City was called for three penalties,
none of which were accepted by Detroit, which they were
very upset that we didn't acknowledge that, which can mind
you again, Detroit had more penalties and the fact that
they didn't accept any of them obviously it was an

(41:29):
advantageous play for Detroit. So I just fans are weird, man,
They're they're kind of fick on how they pick out
certain things. I mean to think Kansas City has not,
you know, been given a little favoritism and officiating is interesting.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
But you know, I just thought to bring that up.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
There was also this story the Jared Goff touchdown that
was called back right, and I know we asked Dean
Blandino about it, but Dan Campbell said he was told
the penalty was wiped out by it came from New
York that New York was the reason they wiped it out,
but the referees have said otherwise. So there's some back

(42:07):
and forth as to who actually made the call on
on whether to throw.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
I will put it this way, New York is more
involved than I think the NFL wants to admit. And
that's just from one game experience with a penalty that
in that situation that was confusing to most and that's
how I'd describe it.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
So yeah, I mean, as long as you get it right,
what does it matter. Why the secrets, why.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
The I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (42:35):
I think they don't want to take away power from
the officials that are there on the field.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
They want them to seem like they're in control.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
They don't want to chop them off in front of everybody,
is what you're saying. Oh okay, interesting, Ah
