Speaker 1 (00:00):

myself LeVar Arrington. Make sure you catch us live weekdays

am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio. You can find your

(00:20):
Joe Show over at Fox Sports Radio dot com, or
stream us live every day on the iHeartRadio app by
searching f s R.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
This is the kind of music you break danced too, right,
Hello window, helloup Reygun.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
And Reygun got jobbed he out right now.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I mean, if her strategy was to become famous, she
accomplished that.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Did do it? She's a bout like she was having
seizure after seizure, Like you.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Know, she just doesn't do it the traditional way.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Dude.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
I took a deep dive into this whole subject and
came out on the other side realizing how some of
these Olympic sports become a thing. Apparently the push was
for ballroom dancing, which didn't end up becoming Olympic sports
instead of ended up being breakdancing, and then it went
on from there about essentially how Australia does their breakdance competitions,

(01:26):
and it all seemed like they made it seem like
there wasn't a big pool of dancers to select from.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Whether or not that's legitimate, that was.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
At least the conclusion that I came from, and that
somehow her involvement in her ward of academia played a
role as well.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
You know, I liked about what she said. She said,
you know what, I knew I was never going to
be able to beat these dancers at their skill set,
so I had to bring my own version of it.
So I brought creativity to the whole thing, and she
did and she had zero points. Yeah, got jobbed, absolutely
screwed over. But it is two pros and a cup
of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,

(02:05):
Jonas Knox with you. We are doing this show live
from the ty rack dot Com studios. Per usual, ti
rack dot Com will help you get there an unmatched selection,
fast reshipping, free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand
recommended installers. Tire rack dot Com the way tire buying
should be. So, speaking of the Olympics, we might have
ourselves a brand new feud in the world of sports?

(02:27):
How about Noah Lyles and Tyreek Kill. So Tyreek Hill
was smearing it up with Kay Adams on her podcast.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Taybe getting a lot of interviews lately. Man, geez, she's
been knocking it out.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
Yeah, she's definitely, Yeah, she's. I mean, everybody's. Everybody's going
on that show. Apparently that is always always getting quality
guests as she goes from training camp to training camp,
and Tyreek Hill was asked about Noah Lyles and some
comments from Noah Liles and it went down like this,

(03:03):
sprinter Noe Liles, he said that Super Bowl champs should
not consider themselves world champions.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
What do you think about no Allows can't say nothing
after what just happened to him, you know what I'm saying.
They didn't want to come out and pretend like he's sick.
I feel like that's that's like horse radishit so for
him to be like do that and say that we're
not world champions of like our sport, Like, come on, bro,
like just speak on what you know about you know

(03:29):
what I'm saying in that track?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Would you like to raise him when he gets home?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
I will beat no Allows.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
You think so, I will beat no Allows by a law.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I would beat no Alli like to see that happen.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
And guess what when I beat him, I'm gonna put
it on a COVID mask and let him know what I
mean business.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
He wasn't hold back at all that. I love his confidence, man.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I mean, I don't know that he I don't think
he's gonna beat him in the one hundred. I think
he I think he could beat even the forty yard dash,
maybe a sixty because Lyles does not get out of
the blocks very well and Tyreek Hill does, so I
think he'd have a shot and a shorter race like
that or it takes Lyles. You know, he doesn't have
that the ability to get up the top speed in

(04:16):
the second half of that one hundred meter.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
You know, it's ridiculous. Like it's it's great. It's great
to chop it up that way and and and speak
confidently and you know, defend you know, other sports. But
I mean no Allows is like probably the most elite
sprinter in the world right now. He ain't beating them.

(04:39):
It's not going to be a race No, don't think
it forty yards dash you could, no, not with his
slow start at all, he would not be He's not
in the same class as No Allows as a sprinter.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Did he run a sixty meter in like a race
somewhat recently?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
He ran one and maybe a year ago or something
like that, some type of like Junior No, I won't.
I don't want to Junior Olympics, but it was some
type of some type of qualifier or something to that effect.
Bottom line is he wouldn't beat No Allows and listen.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
I just give you this. Let me give you this.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Sure.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
In March twenty twenty three, he ran a six seven
sixty with no training, which is fourth tenths off the world.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Record Tyreek Hill did.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Yes, damn he would not beat No Allows.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
You don't think he could at a forty or so?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
No, I do, bet. I bet you could actually.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Probably break down like through the splits where they would
have been at You know what.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I don't know. I just don't. It wouldn't happen.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Is there a way to do that? On lead on
the gold medal one hundred meter that he just won?
Is there a way to break down where he was
at by increments because to Brady's point, he did start slow,
which is why he had to close so strong.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
He was dead last after forty meters. So that's what
That's what I'm trying to That's what I'm trying.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
To explain, is like he was last blocks he's.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
A world class sprinter.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Are always siding with track and field people.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Not what do you mean? It's it's not even it's
not even a real debate, Like he would not beat
no Allows at any point? Would he beat No Allows?
I don't know about that.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
I would give Tyreek Hill if it was a ten
yard sprint, I'd give him my money would be on
Tyreek twenty.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Definitely on Tyreek after that, and then we'd say maybe ten.
But I don't know that that's really sprinting, you know,
ten yards, Like the bottom line is the shortest race
that they have in the Olympics. I mean, I think
they do the sixty in indoor something like that, but
the shortest race is one hundred meters. He ain't winning,

(06:51):
He's not. Even if they had him in an entire heat,
he wouldn't. He probably would be close to the back,
He would be close to the back. I mean, it's
there's just a it's a different that's a different world
when you're talking sprinter as a football player and sprinter
as as a sprinter. It's it's just it's different. Like

(07:15):
there's been a couple that you could throw in there,
like Willie gold is one of those names. I think
Jet was like a big time track guy. I mean,
Santana Moss and those guys ran in college. But when
you're talking world class sprinter that goes and wins the
gold medal, like, that's not I don't see that as

(07:38):
that's not a good debate. All Right.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
I got an idea for you guys.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
You tell me if this is crazy, because if this
is going to happen, it's got to happen soon.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Is Tyreek Hill got a little banged up last year.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
He's also thirty years old, so if he's in the thirties,
maybe the speed starts to diminish a little bit, maybe
the injuries start to pile up at this point of
his career.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
What do you say, Labor Day Weekend?

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Netflix has already got Joey Chestnut versus Kobayashi in a
hot dog eating contest. How about Noah Lyles versus Tyreek
Hill seventy meters.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
I will watch it. I will watch it, but.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
I mean, come on, like you're not interfering with anything
NFL related.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
All right, it's Labor Day weekend.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Yeah, you might steal some shine from college football, but
it's not going to last long. We're talking what ten
seconds of your time?

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Like, what if he's going to beat If he's going
to beat Noah, it's going to be nine seconds. It's
going to be under ten and I if I saw
it correctly, well then again it would be it would
be nine if we're doing seventy meters, so it wouldn't
be ten seconds.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
I'm trying to pull up his one hundred meters from
the Olympics, but I don't have his splits there.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
I do have a split.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
From a race a year ago, though, that he won
with a nine to eight to three. So that is flying.
It is flying. But what do you think is ten
yard ten meters?

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Start?

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Was I don't know, a one ninety three, which I
can guarantee you. I will guarantee you the ten yards
split from Tyreek Hill's forty yard dash was somewhere around
one six I don't know. And as long as ten
meters I get that. Yeah, I'm just saying though it

(09:31):
only goes up from there. He only gets faster from
there and through forty meters he ran a four to
seven six, which is so again it's it's not comparable
because of the meter to a yard.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
However, it gives you some indication of that.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
And I think Tyreek Hill is a legit four to
three guy. He would not beat no allows and he
think a forty yard dash he'd have a shot.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Man.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
I think I think you're you should be repping a
football player here.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Man.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I'm really disappointed by it.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Amount. I just just no world class sprinting versus like
somebody who's fast football fast fast like it, it's different.
It's just a different type of fast man talking about
That's all I say. I mean talking about that down.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
You know, I just I thought that, like you would
have supported the football player, and instead you're going with
the track guy.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
So I don't understand what that means.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
And I'm just you know, we're football guys here on
this show, and I'm just you're always siding with the
track and field guys. All right, what about the fact
that what if they raced with COVID masks? On a
couple of N ninety fives out there running a seven.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Maybe if they race with equipment on, I might give
it to Tybreek Hill shoulder pads. Yeah, yeah, maybe that.
I mean we worked that one.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
I just think, you know, there's an opportunity here, but
it's got to happen fast. Gottap Noah Lyles feels like
he's rubbed some people the wrong way.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Well, he has. He I mean, he's he's a he's
a big personality. I mean, he he talks, he talks lot.
You know, he's one of those fingernail painting dudes as well.
He's very colorful dude. No, he does paint his fingernails.
I mean he does. He's a he's I mean, he's
a personality and he makes it a point to try

(11:14):
to say things that he feels puts track and field
in the front of mind of people. You know, he's
trying to grow the sport. That's that's something that's pretty
important to him. So, but I mean, was it a
misstep with the whole COVID thing, I don't know. I
just think that he had COVID. I mean that's I

(11:35):
didn't think that there was any type of conspiracy connected
to it. I just thought he had the dude had COVID.
I mean, but if he got sick or banged up
from partying or whatever it may be, I don't look.
I don't. I don't look at for all the details
unless it gets reported. And that's what's out because I
wasn't there, so I'm not breaking the news. All I
know is the dude's main His main event is the

(11:58):
two hundred meters. Like, there's no way I would have said, Okay,
he loses in the two hundred and wins the one hundred.
I wouldn't have thought that would have happened. But that's
what happened, and it is what it is. But I mean,
I think it's good for sports talk that that Tyreek
Hill took offense to it. I mean he did. He

(12:18):
he did take aim at like that wasn't like he
said a while back something to the effect of, how
do you call yourself a world champion? You know, unless
this is the same quote, how do you call yourself
a world champion when you've only won in America, like
you've only won a super Bowl, or you've only won
in the NBA, you know, championship. How do you call

(12:40):
yourself a world champion. And I mean to that point,
I mean he's not lying, I mean is he lying?

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Well no, But I think it'd be ignorant to think
that what is there another competitive league or a country
that would be able to compete at the NFL level.
To know it wouldn't for the even for the NBA.
It's there's a ton of international players, like we all
kind of look at them and even all of our
professional sports teams and say these are the best. Whether

(13:08):
it's you know, footbot it is.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
It is a little baseball, but that's a little like
it's a little kind of like.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Well, okay, i'll go I'll go this, I'll go this
far into it.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Then if you really want to get into it, the
Olympics aren't always a display of the best athletes at
those sports. That's the World Championships actually, year in and
year out, allow for more competition. There's limits to how
many athletes you can bring per certain teams and sports,
and there's obviously, as we've seen in boxing, there's some

(13:40):
different controversial things, but there's times when the people are
are not allowed to compete based on certain things. So
if you really want to go and do what you
dive about.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
All is deep, Dave shallow, Dave Shallow. How if you're
competing in a competition that brings all of the nations
together to compete against, that makes you a world chat?
If you win a goal, you're world chat Like you're
if you go to the what is it called the
World's what what is it called the bigger or the
one that has more people? The world champion, World championship said,

(14:13):
that's the world. You're competing against guys in the world.
I mean, you do it, You're right, you do it
in these pro sports. You're right. But it's still in America,
That's all I'm saying, Like it's.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
The super Bowl in London. Would that change?

Speaker 1 (14:28):
No, because there weren't people in London competing.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
Right, But you still do have the opportunity for international
players to play in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
It's not like that. That's very true, and they do
and they do.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
My brother played semi pro football in Denmark and Italy
and showed me pictures of.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
His and had he won a champion, I can't sure
he would not have been a world champion.

Speaker 5 (14:50):
You're assure you they were not qualified to play in
the NFL. They were not that was not the place
for them.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Lee.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
We have an update on some of these split times
for noahly Isle and Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Not necessarily split times, but some interesting stats.

Speaker 7 (15:03):
So this just recently just came out yesterday from CBS Sports.
Comparing the two, He'll had to hit a top speed
of twenty three point two four miles per hour on
a kickoff return of course with pads on, which is
four miles per hour slower than where Noah lyles fastest
time was during his one hundred meter sprint. And also
if you look at their forty yard dashes, of course,
Tyreek ran a four to two nine he did dang

(15:26):
yeah at his combine four two, and Noah Lyles has
recorded a forty yard dash at four two one, which
it matches Exavier Worthies combined record.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
So maybe Xavier Worthy should actually be the one to racing.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Them, hm, Xavi you'er worthy would have a chance in
the forty and would not win in the hundred. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
I don't think anyone's debating outside of Tyreek Hill that Tyrek.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Kill would win into one hundred. I'm surely not. I
think I've made a strong case for I'm not making
the house slower. He is out of the blocks. He
is slow out of the blox. That's what it is.
He is, he is. You're right, he ain't beating me.
That's all I know. I'd get him a shot. I'll
get him shot out of forty.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Yeah, if he's got COVID, maybe you know it slows
him up.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
True, I mean it slowed him up in the Olympics. Yeah,
it's not the partying later that night.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
But that's the ending too.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Did he have a mask on while he was party? No,
that was That's kind of the controversy about it.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Yeah, I'm gonna support the football guy.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
I'm a football guy through and through, so I'm definitely
gonna go with Tyree Hill. Here it is Two Pros
and a Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you coming up
next here though from the tire Raq dot Com studios. Uh,
we do have ourselves an oldie but a goodie in
the world of sports, and it's football related. That'll be

(16:46):
yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 8 (16:48):

Hey, what's up everybody? It's me three time pro bowler
LeVar Arrington and I couldn't be more excited to announce
a podcast called Up on Game? What is Up on Game?

You can only name a show with that type of
talent on it. Up on Game. We're going to be

to Up on Game with Me LeVar Arrington, TJ. Hutchman, Zada,
and Plexico Birds on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Two pros and a Cup of Joe.

Speaker 5 (17:45):
Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Knox with you. All right, we have a decision to
make here on the air. We got a couple of
options in about twenty minutes from now. Typically on a Tuesday,
we do would you rather? Which is always I mean, I.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Know that's a.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Well, it's always it's a.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
It's a favorite of Brady Quinn's, which is why we
do it. So there's that, or we could do an
F S R I R because we weren't in this
time slot yesterday. I feel though that I don't know
that anybody's I R.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
I'll do the IR of lead to lap that is correct,
and we've already recapped lead to lap in the first segment,
the entire segment, so I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I don't know lead to lap.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Who's got his car window taped up with gorilla glue tape?

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Of course it's black. Yeah, racist. They offered him the
clear tape. He's like, do you know who you're talking to?

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Tape?

Speaker 2 (18:44):
They did offer the white white?

Speaker 5 (18:46):
They did me said, hell no, He's like, hold on
a second, look look through my my Instagram feed.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
All right. I thought I thought you were exploring yourself
though a little bit more lately, man, I thought you know,
you were opening yourself up, you know, to the possibilities.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
I try all things. I'll try anything twice.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Oh jeez, all right, try anything twice, just like that neighbor.
That's interesting, all right.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
I've heard people say.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
I'm different, build different.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yeah, he had a Jerry curl last yesterday. By the way,
I did notice that. I did notice. Yeah, it looks wet,
but it's dry.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
How does that work? By the way, what do you
do me? Is it like a product or what is it?

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (19:48):
And you just throw it in.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
And it's been a while man since I've I've been
a part of. But you gotta it's like a process,
you gotta you gotta go through to get that curl,
you know, and then you got to add the curl
activator to it and all that stuff that they had,
curl kits, curl activator kits, you know, and you take
take you know, the do the directions and you know,

(20:13):
before you know it, you wash it out and you know,
and you put the little chemicals in there, and then
you got a Jerry curl and then you know, you
used to walk to see people walk around spraying them
and you know, keep their Jerry Curl moist. You remember
Hollywood Shuffle when they had to do and they was
interrogating him and they got him the snitch because they

(20:34):
took his took his curl active curl activator away from him.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
I don't recall that.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Old movie Hollywood Shuffle.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
I'm just looking at the brand new tape job Lee
had on his back window, seeing that there's just a
random dartboard in his path.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
So, by the way, maybe that's maybe that's what they're
aiming at.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (20:56):
So the things I was moving into my car, which
was the dregs of my condo, was all my gaming stuff.
So I had like the dartboard and a bunch of
poker sets, which you know, they all come in those
obnoxious silver cases. I think they saw me bringing those
silver cases out, which is why they target.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Are those your Perry Ellis underwear?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Yes? They are?

Speaker 7 (21:16):
Why because they next to the dart board, they tossed
my whole gym bag. They like, all the clothes are everywhere.
You're sure those are yours, not theirs, I hope.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
So what's that on the window? Lee like, I don't know.
I think, well, be telling the truth.

Speaker 7 (21:33):
I left that there because, uh, I don't know the
Claimatejuster is gonna look at that shot.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
That's what that's what they use, whatever they that is,
they used to pull it down. Yeah, let me tell
you something. You wait nine months.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
That's a different type of gorilla glue.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Trust me, Lar, you do not want to know what
happened in the backseat of Lee's car.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
Let me tell you something, Lee, you wait nine months,
that dartboard will be walking around.

Speaker 9 (21:56):
Sure boxers, imagine if we threw those on and realized
all these aren't mine some bum some bum walking around
with Perry Ellis's.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
No offense, Lye. But your car does not say break
into me. I have something valuable inside. It hasn't been
washed once.

Speaker 9 (22:27):
See the shirt build up on the outside of the
car like a plaquetta.

Speaker 7 (22:33):
This is what I was telling him yesterday. Is I
do that to keep it camouflage because I park in
a weird neighborhood. I don't want people break it into it.
But it didn't work.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Damn Well.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
That's so I guess we will be doing. What do
you guys thinking, would you rather coming up? You prefer
that over the I R I'm not sure we can
top anything that come up with.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Well, here's what I do know. Do we have college
football on Fox? Theme music?

Speaker 5 (23:01):
Do we have it because the college football season is
fast approaching? Y?

Speaker 2 (23:06):
And how do we know?

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Gives?

Speaker 5 (23:08):
Because we got a bunch of tiny numbers to go
against matchups in week one and week zero. Potentially that'll
tell you which team is supposed to be good and
which team is worthy of a top twenty five ranking,
even though nobody's played a game to actually prove it it.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
The AP Top twenty five is out. It is out.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
Congratulations at the Georgia Bulldogs number one in the country
yet again. George is back and they are back at
top of the AP Top twenty five, followed by Ohio State, Oregon, Texas,
and Alabama making up your top five. Now, I personally
think that because none of this really means anything, because

(23:50):
this will all play out and not until we get
to the college football playoffs does it mean anything whatsoever.
I personally think they did this to try and drive
away edge on this show because they've got Notre Dame
at seven and Penn Stay at eight.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Well, would that be a way shots fired.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
At this showing. They're trying to stir it up. They're
trying to get you guys to argue over who should
be seven, who should be ranked higher, and they just
threw you right next to each other.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
I mean, I would make the argument that preseason rankings
are the dumbest thing ever, so ever, that would be yeah,
I mean they'd be right up there purely for the
point that you just pointed out, like, like, we don't
need to have preseason rankings. There's no point. No one's
played anybody, It's an entirely new season. Some of these
teams have almost a new roster and a new coach.

(24:37):
Like look at the NFL. The NFL is able to
go through the entirety of their regular season and not
have to deal with having rankings. And I understand that
because we have multiple conferences.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
And more teams there, it is we feel the.

Speaker 10 (24:53):
Need to have this, but nowhere like we could just say, hey,
like you know, some of our big actual starting up
like Week two, Michigan and Texas, do we really need
rankings to be there and to like talk.

Speaker 11 (25:07):
About like it's Week two of college football. They're both
probably gonna be one to know, Like, I don't think
we need to have those rankings or to sell that game.
It's gonna be a great game regardless.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
I feel like rankings have always been a part of
college football, and I tend to like them. I like
the rankings, whether the meaning of them or you know,
it doesn't I agree with what you're saying. The logic
of it. I still like it for maybe the pageantry
of it, for for what it just kind of represents
to the uniqueness of what college football has been, and

(25:45):
for what it's worth. I mean, I think they they
have the top teams, like those are the top teams,
and I mean, you know, we'll see how it all
plays out. I think it's interesting that Oregon is the
highest rated team of all Big ten Big Ten teams
and they're a newcomer to the Big Ten, which I

(26:06):
think will be pretty interesting to see how that plays out,
because I think Oregon will be very very competitive.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Well, Ohio State's two, but Oregon's three, right bid.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Oh okay, I thought I saw it, but yeah, three, okay,
excuse me, So yeah, that's correct. So being right there
with Ohio State, I mean, that's you know, it's interesting.
It's hard to go up when you're number one, though,
so when you're at that number one spot and you're Georgia,
which if there's any team that could probably handle it

(26:35):
the best, it probably is Georgia right now. But I
just think that it makes for an interesting matchup when
you see the numbers connected to the teams and they're
playing against each other. You know, that's what I that's
what I enjoyed like when I, for some strange reason,
maybe I'm just I've gone for the classic conditioning of

(26:56):
it all. When I see a non ranked team playing
a ranked team, or two non ranked teams playing, I'm
not as interested.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
It's that little number man like I.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Don't know why. I don't know why I'm not as interested,
but I'm not as interested if I don't see a ranking.

Speaker 5 (27:10):
It is kind of weird, like all of a sudden,
All of a sudden, you feel differently about Illinois State
Iowa because I always got a twenty five next to
their name, like, oh, that's a top twenty five matchup.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Then you get blown away when they lose, right, and
they're upset. But sometimes you look at some of these
teams that are assembled and they're not ranked, but they
got ballers, like that one year that Cincinnati had all
them ballers on that team, and you're seeing them beat
up on everybody, and it's like, dang, where that come from? Right?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
But here's the problem.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
It took Cincinnati actually years of being really good in
order for them to persuade people to make them a
top four team to play.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
In the playoff that year. That's fair.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Like, that's the problem with the rankings is if you
are a small school team or if you're not a
part of one of the bigger conferences, it does matter,
Like they're just not going to let you into the party,
and you've got to earn it for years and years
to come. So it's and look, we can go over
teams that are traditionally overrated, teams that are traditionally underrated,

(28:12):
you know Texas A and M, and just so it happens
to be.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
The team that Notre Dame plays start off the season.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
There had been a string of years where they were
constantly ranked inside the top ten, and really it was
because these these rankings are based upon recruiting. Like if
you look at all these teams rosters, the job they've
been recruiting, that's in essence, what they're basing it off of.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
They're basing it off of talent and potential.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
They're not basing it off of anything these teams have
really done, maybe who they're returning. But those rankings have
a strong correlation to recruiting rankings, and it's one of
the reasons why Texas A and M used to be
always ranked as one of the top teams because they
can recruit well, but the reality was they just wouldn't
be able to find a way of winning enough football

(28:56):
games to justify being ranked as a top ten, top fifteen,
top twentyeen.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
You know this year could be different.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
A new head coach, Connor Wigman's a heck of a
little quarterback or Casey excuse me, but you know it's
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
I have a hard time buying into all these I
personally think Middle Tennessee got screwed, to be honest with you.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Yet you got some fambitize there, so I get that now.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
I was the best offensive line in the country. They're
my preseason number one off.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Which one is that? Monvu or.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Me Antoine? Yeah, all right, will be uh, Middle Tennessee.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
That's Connor Wigman. I don't know why I keep wavering
back fort In, Casey and Connor.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Jeez, what happens?

Speaker 1 (29:41):
And then just like that, the music went away?

Speaker 2 (29:43):
It is, Yeah it did? Do you want it again?

Speaker 1 (29:48):
No? Whoa, I'm a hater on the show. I want
to be on the show.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
WHOA? Damn Rayda's got a little uh, a little bite
to her today. Jeez, No, messing around.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Win a gold medal. What sport are you going for
in the LA Olympics.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
So you're going for flag football, lacrosse, squash, cricket, or
I'll throw in break dancing just for the.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Fun of it.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Flag football, flag football, And that's the most sensible I do.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Lacrosse cross be fun.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Lee.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
You could train for four years.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
I mean you really feel like you're gonna be a
world class lacrosse player.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
I could be on a team that's in world class.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
I think you have a better shot of being a breakdancer.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
I mean, if that woman could qualify from Australia, I
mean you'd have to think you might be able to
make it.

Speaker 7 (31:51):
I'm just surprised you pick flag football with your disdain
for flag football.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
Yeah, but I'm being realistically, that'll give me the best shot.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
He is squash, racquetball basically. Yeah, I'm trying to figure
that out. Yeah, it looks like racketball to me, I'll
just I guess flag football. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Yeah, right, mean Lee?

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Why not shooting like that one?

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Dude?

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Feel like you just walked in off the street?

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Was one of the best from Turkey. That guy's off Yeah,
that guy was sweet. Don't mess with his cats yet.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
Yeah, that was.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
A terrible one.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Guys.

Speaker 7 (32:33):
Would you would you rather get posterized or crossed over?

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Crossed over? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (32:41):
I think crossed over. You don't want to be up
in some little kid's bedroom.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Yeah, yeah, but at least you tried to.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Crouch in your face like, yeah, you're gonna get mushroom
stamp on your forehead?

Speaker 2 (32:50):
What does that mean? What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (32:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
It's probably happened to you. That's why he going that way.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
Which is weird because I hate mushrooms.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
What do you get imprint of two tea bags in
your forehead?

Speaker 1 (33:05):
Swear to do that to you? Think about it.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Lebron's been posterizing Petros forever.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
It's just like.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
That's to deal with that every week?

Speaker 2 (33:19):
What else we got, guys?

Speaker 7 (33:20):
It's a it's fantasy football season. Would you rather get
have Jon Robinson or Gibbs All right, finds out age.
All right, not fantasy.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Mayor Gibbs. Well you just got hurt.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
I'll take I'll take Bijonah.

Speaker 7 (33:39):
Okay, guys, uh here in southern California, yesterday we had
a nice little earthquake. Would you rather be in a
seven zero earthquakes?

Speaker 4 (33:49):
Are you making this as we go?

Speaker 2 (33:52):
I'm making it up as you know this week?

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Actually, this is a this is a fresh new stuff.
This is fresh new stuff. This is a team effort.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
By the way, would you rather be in a seven
zero earthquake or a tsunami?

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Seven? At the beach?

Speaker 5 (34:10):
Tsunamis absolutely terrifying me. That is the one thing that
I'm scared of is giant tsunami waves.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
They freak me out. And the worst part is, I mean,
I look at it this way.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
You guys all still live in California have earthquakes all
the time.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
So so we had one yesterday and I didn't feel it,
and people hit me up like are you okay? I
was like, what do you mean? You know?

Speaker 5 (34:27):
It's tsunamis You'll be standing on the sand and all
of a sudden, the water will recede into the ocean
and when you see that. Don't even bother running.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
You're run.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
You're not getting away. High ground, dude, high ground, my ass,
You're not getting away. Go look at some of those
destructions in the Philippines when all that happened. They got
it annihilated.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
They yeah, yeah, climb a palm tree. I'll get out
of there. What were you doing during the earthquake, guys,
Bud anybody.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Unt it happened. I don't even know when it happened, but.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
He got an interesting story. LaVar, you were right in
the heart of it. Was I really that was the
heart of it too, But.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
I didn't know. Somebody asked, was I okay? I was like,
what do you mean? What are you asking about?

Speaker 7 (35:14):
You know, as a native California you kind of stopped
for a second, but then you just go about your business.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
It's just I feel like I'm just getting rocked to sleep,
when when I know the earthquake that I did feel
it just felt like I was being rocked. You know,
I actually felt a couple I was at Fox Lot
one time and we had one I was like, why
is my car still moving? It's in the park.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
You know, check your text.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Much fun?

Speaker 7 (35:38):
Guys, would you rather be ah, a Muppet or a
Sesame Street character.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
What we can't do this, sire.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
This is a behind the scenes debate we were.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
Yeah, I'm just saying we got to retire this man,
all right.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
I don't think we.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Can answer the question, Brady.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Dang, what was it?

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Would you rather be on the Muppets or Sesame Street?

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Which would rather be on the Muppets? The Muppets had
way more fun than the Sesame.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Which one that Sesame Street? I'll go Sesame Street man.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
You had animal hitting them them God dang drums. You
had come on man. Muppets easily
