Speaker 5 (02:24):
Thing, dude, you gotta appreciate the haters too, right, because.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
If you ain't winning, they ain't hating item.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Well, there's also the reality of what media and broadcasting
has become. If we invoke an emotion out of you
and it's hate, so be it man. But that's the
reality of what this whole business has becomes. You either
love the person or you hate the person. There can't
be any in between. If you become something in between, man,
you ain't got no job. So my apologies to the

(02:54):
haters out there. If you hate me, I'm sorry. It's
that emotion that's brought out of you. If it's love, cool,
it's very appreciated.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
But I love love. But but the hater ya could
kiss my ass?

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Yeah, I'm not like all the way, I haven't seen
this press release. Puer up. I don't even know what
you're talking about. No, it's almost like we shouldn't have
maybe even brought it up yet. Wow, I know, just uh,
it's not been released. Yeah, it's going to get released.
I'm not comfortable talking about my involvement with this show
until I see the press release.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
So I'm not mine. I mean anyway, you you you
clearly have gotten your contract done, So there you go.
I don't know take that. I don't know take that.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Take was the first to sign. It was wondering, I.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Don't know, probably getting They wrote the deal on a
barnapkin jump a sign me up for that.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Yeah, that's what and did it in crayon.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
The protologists to get I'll go what need to do?

Speaker 4 (03:51):

Speaker 1 (04:33):

the way tireb You know, you put it out there
on radio like hey don Scott, y'all can't go back
on us now, Like I ain't no going back. We
didn't put it out there, so y'all look like the
bad guys.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Yeah, you don't want to make us have to redo
this entire hour. So there is a situation in the
NFL that I don't want.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
It to be the case.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I don't want it to.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Be, but I feel like LeVar might look like the
one who was in the right at the end of
this whole thing.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I don't understand you want to do it.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
So you remember yesterday we were talking about how you
want to do it. The Jets were what the who
the Jets? The Jets were, you know, awful on Sunday
and there was you know, the weather was an impact
and miss field goals and the offense didn't look right
and all that stuff, and then you know, there was
some penalties and Robert Sala it is funny man kind

(05:29):
of throughout the cadence. Maybe there's an issue with the cadence. Well,
Rogers controls the cadence. That would be Aaron Rodgers Rogers.
So Rogers spoke about that a response. We're going to
listen to Rogers from after the game. And then Robert
Sala addressed it yesterday with the media. So here first
was Aaron Rodgers some Sunday the.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Cadence specifically, Robert said, that might be something you guys
have to dial back a little bit, And is that
something you think could potentially help the situation.

Speaker 7 (05:57):
It's a fun way to do it. Other ways hold
them accountable. We haven't had an issue. We've had one
false start. We're gonna had one false start, I believe.
Until this so it's been a weapon. We use it
every day in practice, don't you know. We rarely have
a false start, and to have I don't know five
today it seemed like four or five. Yeah, it's and
it seems like an outlier. I don't know if we
need to make mass changes based on, you know, kind

(06:18):
of an outlier game.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
So Robert Sala spoke with the media yesterday and decided,
you don't want there's a lot to that. May you know,
I'm going to dust off my old dB skills and
work on a little backpedal here in front of the media.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
And this out sounded.

Speaker 8 (06:33):
Yesterday I was I was mentioning operation We're always going
to push the envelope with cadence always, but but with
regards to operation uh, you know, getting in and out
of the huddle, get into the line of scrimmage of
the communication that's being had. We're uh, those are all
things that we can continue to look at and clean up.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
But from a cadence standpoint.

Speaker 8 (06:52):
That's part of what makes us who we are, and
we're going to continue to always push push the envelope
on that.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
I mean, can I just go back to something that
LeVar said to start the showy It was this was
an instance watching this game whereas LeVar said he thinks
about us things that we said. I thought about LeVar
and I thought, hey, he's right.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I was.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
I was like, even as good as Aaron is, he's
a generational talent man, and he still probably is not
going to be able to overcome whatever the hell is
happening with the chance.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
It's like, I hope.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
I'm wrong because I picked them. I'm pretty sure to
win the AFC make It playoff run. But this has
been my worst year of NFL picks in forever. Thank god,
Thank god I'm not working with Pete Risko anymore because
he would probably be, you know, just hammering me right now.
But that's what I thought LeVar. I was like, yeah,
he's right. I wanted it to not be right. You know, Aaron,

(07:57):
I really do. He's a good, good guy. But I
just I feel like, man, this organization just can't figure
it out.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
That's that's just confusing. You know, for one, just listening
to Aaron Rodgers sound, it's it's just kind of like
put put the the end of your your interview, your
statement first, Delete the first part of your statement, and
you would have probably been all right, you know what
I mean? Like as an outlier, deal doesn't happen often

(08:28):
we'll get it right. I just feel like the first
part of it is there's still and Aaron realizes this,
Like just listening to his sound, he realizes now what
he's really in, what he's in like, he's in it,
the epicenter of what it is that has been the
reason why the New York Jets do not have a

(08:49):
level of success. He's in it. And so now he's
got to go into for what it's worth. He's got
to go in to sell preservation man. Because what you
do not want, if you're Aaron Rodgers, because you've solidified
yourself as as an all time great, what you do
not want is for people to start saying, well, you know, Mike, Mike,

(09:12):
what what what's the coach there now? Lafloor, Lafloor, what's
his first name is floor? Matt Lafleur. I mean he's
having success posts posts Aaron Rodgers. Now they took it
on the on the Gennis past Sunday, but he seems
to have his new quarterback in in love. You don't
want them to go back and say, well, you know, McCarthy,

(09:35):
you know it was coaching. It was coaching, it was this,
It was that you just don't want to have anybody
put question marks or asterisks beside your name in terms
of what it is that you've accomplished. And what's going
to happen here is he's going to be in a
situation where it's like, why can't one of the greatest
quarterbacks of all time be more of a factor and

(09:58):
a team that has all this talent and winning games,
And it's a it's a weird phenomenon of how talent
will never overcome dysfunction. It'll never overcome it. And so
that's to me that that statement says, keep my name
out your mouth in terms of what what could be wrong,

(10:21):
because it's really it's it's a different issue than me.
That's what that that statement says to me. And Robert
sala hey bruh, Like, I don't know if you bought
a home there or if you're renting or whatever you got,
but just just have them boxes ready to go, because
it ain't gonna end well. This this is probably going
to be it if we're being if we're being one

(10:43):
hundred percent up and up on what what it looks
like it's going to turn out to be for the Jets,
this is probably it.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
You know what it feels like Robert sala is so
desperate to win that he's okay getting dormatted by Aaron
Rodgers publicly and just how to wear it, like whether
it's the situation with the unexcused absence or not, and
that whole awkward back and forth, the him trying to
give Rogers a hug and Rogers pushing him away, and

(11:12):
they tried to explain it out afterwards, and then this time,
you know, he makes a comment about you know, the
operation and the cadence, and then he's got to come
back the next day and try and address all that.
It just feels like and I kind of feel bad
for the guy because Rogers in a sense has the
entire organization by the balls, because he's the only guy

(11:33):
there who's got Super Bowl Hall of Fame credentials to
pull from, and everybody else is like well, we'll do
whatever we can because you know, we just want to win.
We want to be have some sort of relevancy in
the NFL, And so Rogers is calling the shots and
it just feels like every week it gets a little
more awkward and a little more awkward and a little

(11:55):
more uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Hold people accountable and I just this snap count you
hol you know what whole people accountable?

Speaker 5 (12:02):
Do you guys get the sense that maybe Solidists isn't
a head coach, like based on this entire experience.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
I mean, the one thing I'll say is like being
a good coordinator.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
It's an accomplishment in and of itself, but there's a
different set of you know, communication skills, social skills you
need as a head.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Coach too, and over the courses. What's that I said?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
It doesn't seem like he matches that criteria, But go ahead.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
But no, I mean to that.

Speaker 5 (12:30):
Point, it doesn't matter like which time frame you want
to pick, there's just always been something some disconnect, Like
even with the Zach Wilson stuff. I mean, you weren't
talking about a future Hall of Famer there, but they
still couldn't communicate things appropriately.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Then yeah, you're right, and I don't really understand it.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
It's not that hard to be able to go get
everyone on the same page in regards to what the
company line is going to be, whether that's about injuries,
whether that's about operations of the team, the offense, or
whatever it is, And somehow he consistently doesn't do that.
I don't know if he doesn't value the quarterback position.

(13:11):
And look, I'm just gonna say, I'm not trying to
create controversy. Like defensive minded coaches that I have been around,
they don't look at the quarterback position as important as
offensive side And you might say, well, no, crap, sherlock,
I get that. But the problem then becomes in an
organization where who are the two people that are always

(13:33):
pointed to, always blamed, always praised.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
It's the head coach at quarterback.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
So if you have a defensive mind and head coach
that gets that, it's gonna work because he understands the
value and the importance of the quarterback.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
But if you have one that doesn't and.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
He's off on his own kind of saying whatever he's
gonna say, and the quarterbacks then out there like what
the hell have you saying? Like it's never gonna be
copasetic you find yourself in a suit situation like that
to me in New York.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
And I don't know when this fracture happened. I don't
know if it was.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
The summertime where Robert Sawad came out and said it was,
you know, an unexcused absence. Probably didn't need to say that,
But I get the feeling that every time I'm watching
those two interact and watching a response to something that
Robert Sala said that he's like, what do you say now?

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Like what dumb thing came out of his mouth? Dock
like you.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
Maybe I'm the only what it feels that way you're not,
but I watch it and I go there's a level
of him being like, what does this boso say now?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Like there's a feeling of that. And I don't know
if that's just.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
My perspective on it or my interpretation on it, but
if you look through the years of the things Robert
Salas said and had to walk back or backtracked on,
or it's just like, dude, this has gone on too long,
Like you got to learn by now as a head coach.
And I think one of the things that people loved
about him early on as a head coach was he
was so open with the press, you know, and the

(15:01):
way you communicate with the press, and you know, it's
so refreshing.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
There in New York.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Well, now once you head adversity, it's a little different,
and then everyone's gonna mince your words and and take
things out of context and do all the stuff that
the media does. So I get that it's a tough job,
but he consistently cannot get on the same page as
players within his organization, in particular as quarterbacks leaders of
his team.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
That's a problem as a head coach.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah, the whole thing is this seems like a dap
me up type of coach, and dap me up coaches
in a lot of situations, they come out on the
bottom of these situations. Man, you can't be the dap
up coach. Like he's the type of dude like you
walk in, he hits you with the the dap hand
not not the handshake, like good to see you, sir,
welcome into the billy. He's like to dap you up, dude,

(15:48):
like what's up, bro? Everything good, all right, let's do
this like everything you know, And then once you develop
that comfort level. He does it with probably with the media.
He does it with his players. And now he done
ran into one that ain't I ain't for it. Aaron
Rodgers ain't for it, like I'm not for I'm not
on that type of time right now, like and and
so for what is worth now he was doing those

(16:11):
things before Zach Wilson. He ain't gonna say anything. Jack
Wilson's not going to jump out there and say anything
out of his mouth that would bring any type of
reproach on him or the team. So he had to
take it because he ain't have enoughing to you know,
have enough of a resume. Now you got one in
there that does have a resume, and you're sitting there like, hey, hohle,
guy's accountable. We ain't seen to have these problems in practice,

(16:32):
whatever it may be. Yeah, I did go I did
go to Africa. I did I did go to Egypt.
And you ain't gonna do nothing about it, not one thing,
not one thing.

Speaker 5 (16:42):
He has to do more with James Vanderbet going with
him instead of Tang.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
She thought the dap up. He thought the dap up
meant that he was going to get all of the
perks of having Aaron Rodgers as.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
Don't want y'all life. Dang, you know, maybe we're all
big varsity Blues fans. Yeah, yeah, I mean I get it.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
He listen. I think Robert Salah wanted to be hanging
out like with Aaron Robbers were buddies, riding cammel Yeah,
sitting in you know, booths, watching shows like Smoking Weed,
like Front and Center, Ay Saturday Night Live. Like the
possibilities that existed with his relationship with Aaron Rodgers seemed endless.

(17:27):
You just got to take the good, you gotta take
the bad. You gotta take them both, and there you
have the facts of life.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
Do you think he thought about like Aaron Rodgers was
on his team in three hundred, you know, like fighting
with him, and now he realized, but which one was
Leonaron Rodgers is one of the three hundred and he's serxies.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Do you think it's now like finally hit him.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Dang, So he wasn't one of the three hundred.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Dang, No, solid wasn't. Slider looks just like him.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
And so he was trying to get the quasi moto.
He thought that he was getting the He thought he
was getting the quasi moto on his team. You know what,
the quasi moto day. He was the reason why the
three hundred lives. I do know that he went out.
You snitched out, righting them out? Snitched out? Never good
to be a rat. He'd be like.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Lee, Lee would be like that on our team snitches
sound get to be a rat?

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Lee?

Speaker 3 (18:21):
What Lee?

Speaker 1 (18:23):
We found out? Leah snitch or one of y'all? There
is this.

Speaker 5 (18:27):
He wouldn't do it purposely, though, he'd be like, hey,
man and say something like, oh, I was supposed to
say that.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Man, I'm sorry.

Speaker 9 (18:33):
If it would have happened, that would be the way. Hey, buddy,
let me find any buddy.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
My bad. We found out we got to be paying
some quasi motos around here. God, dang, I'm the one
eyed guy. Yeah, what telling the story?

Speaker 3 (18:47):
The one eyed got three of the three hundred.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yeah, No, tough enough, Lee, That dude was a tough
sum bitch man.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
You were seen filming yourself at a pool, all right,
Like no due from three hundreds to be filling themself
on a floating in the pool.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
I seen Lee running to the front door of the
football building with his suitcase. Is bro that I can
guarantee that one I do telling story. Did not run
like that way he was going. Get that that rolling
bag to in a parking, especially when you swing your
hips you run in on your toes. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
The other thing is man like three hundred would be
late to the battle. You were late to the battle, Tang.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
I was on time.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
What are you talking about? I was late. You're not
supposed to be that close to battle time. Yeah, it's called.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
The Coffin rule. You gotta be five minutes earlier. Was late, bro, Yeah,
it was ten at me.

Speaker 9 (19:37):
Perfect perfect timing every time I walk into a room. Hey,
perfect timing, Lee, Tang.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
He did. He did diffuse me when he had the
LBU shirt on. I was so. I was so. I
was turned up. I was ready to like turn and
then I saw it. I was like, whatever, Sorry, he's a.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
It is two pros and would save me two pros
and a cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you coming up
next here though, it's the moment you've all been waiting for.
It's the BQ Top fifteen, the real rankings in college football,
and they're yours right here.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
On FSR.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio, coming up in about fifteen minutes from now.
We got some concerns, some concerns in the NFL for
some teams, but maybe some solutions. All right out of
the box thinking for some solutions. We'll get into that
for you again coming up here fifteen minutes from now.
But right now it's time for us.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Who needs the ap Top twenty five.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
I'm just seeing things that I never thought exist.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
When you've got the beat, you top fifteen.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
The top fifteen.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
Heading into Week six of the college football season, you know,
after the Tides big win.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Everyone's vaulting them to the number one spot.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
Not me, folks, was a great win, and we'll get
to that, but they're not number one. It's still Tennessee
remaining at the number one spot, and in fact the
number two. The University of Texas had a good win
with Arch Manning, who's coming into his own big game
versus Mississippi State. So even though quinn ewers it's his
job when he comes back, They've got a very formidable
backup there in arch Manning and a bright, bright future

(21:34):
At number three, though, it's Alabama that moves up three
spots from where they were last week after their big
win over Georgia. Jalen Milroe has put himself in position
to be a part of that Heisman conversation. Ryan Williams,
the wide receiver who's seventeen years old, has been absolutely
outstanding for the time. Let's be honest about that game.
Great first half, second half, they let the Bulldogs back

(21:57):
in the door, who did eventually take the lead if
not for a big playing connection from Milrow to Ryan
Williams and probably some bad defense too. For being honest
with ourselves, and Georgia is still had a chance in
the end to win the game after being down thirty
to seven at one point.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
So look, Bama was one of the top teams.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
They obviously have a clear path of the SEC Championship game,
but I'm not ready to put him ahead.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Of Texas and Tennessee.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
Ohio State sits in the same spot at number four,
they pounded Michigan State on the road, and we saw
the other outstanding freshman and wide receiver, Jeremiah Smith, when
not one but two jow dropping catches. He is an
absolute phenom and so much fun to watch. At number five,
you've got Georgia dropping down two spots. Look, I can't

(22:44):
penalize them for one bad half of football. Say what
you want about the Kentucky game a couple of weeks ago.
They found a way to win. In this case, you know,
look they couldn't pull it out.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
I think the bigger.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Concern for Georgia fans is they're scheduled the rest of
the way. They still have at Tennessee, at Old Miss,
at Texas, at Ole Miss, and then versus Tennessee the
rest of the way. So they've got one loss. Now,
how many more could they sustain through that schedule? And
could they still potentially be a college football playoff team?
It's hard to imagine them not being for two.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Years in a row.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
At number six, up one spot is the Hurricanes cam
Ward leading them to a comeback win over Virginia Tech. Yes,
there's some controversy there with thought Hail Mary. The reality
was there was never control. They never should have called
it a touchdown in the first place. Sorry, Hokies fans. Still,
Miami's undefeated, up one spot and headed at least it
seems like they're headed in a path to the a

(23:36):
SEC Championship game. Up two spots after the big win
at home over Illinois's Penn State.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
It's a good win. That controlled that game. Look, Illino
is a good team and the.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
Reality is that was a solid win at home where
I felt Penn State was completely in control the entire time.
At number eight, Oregon, same spot as they've been. It
was an easy win over UCLA. But I got to
tell you maybe my emotions again the best to be here,
But the old meat wagon missed out on a cover
after a late touchdown and missed pat at the defense.

(24:08):
In the bottom half of the Big ten right now,
we haven't really seen them be able to open up
the big plays, in particular to Evan Stewart, the outstanding
wide receivers.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
So still got some reservations.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
About where Oregon's at At number nine, Missouri up two
spots coming out their buy. Their schedule sets up extremely
well for them to make the playoff. They heading to
College Station this week, so we'll learn a little bit
more just how good they are at number ten, Old
Miss down five spots. Tough loss to UK, but maybe
it's Kentucky's better than we realize. Remember they did play
Georgia close, took them to the wild wire, and now

(24:40):
they beat the Rebels.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Look.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
Old Miss has a number of tests ahead two so
at that number ten spot, keep an eye on them
whether or not they can stay in the college football
playoff race.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Help one spot. The number eleven ins Michigan.

Speaker 5 (24:52):
They controlled the entire first half versus Minnesota, but let
the Gophers back in the back door. The passing game
is still a bit of a concern. There's a little
tidbit note to keep in mind moving forward. Jack Tuttle,
I keep watching his injury status.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
I would be.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
Surprised he doesn't find his way into the lineup once
he is healthy. And the on side kick probably should
have counted. Who knows how we're talking about Michigan based
on how that game would end. Probably one of the
more controversial teams I've got is number twelve Iowa State
up two spots. Another shutout defensively for them, I should
say their first shutout, but another great defensive performance for them.
They've got enough playmakers. Sam at the running back spot

(25:30):
had a big game, rock O Beck, Scott Higgins at
Noel on the outside.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
This is a team. Don't sleep on the Big twelve.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
Don't sleep on them making it in unto the College
Football Playoff, they don't play a ranked team until the
end of November. At number thirteen, Southern calis same spot
as they were just a week ago.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
It was a tale of two halfs this past week.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
Looked off on the first half versus Wisconsin and then
pitched the shutout defensively, and the offense got it together
with some big plays. A number fourteen up three spots
Clemson to win over Stanford. It seems like after that
blowout loss to Georgia we forgot about them. All they've
been doing is blowing things out and getting better and
better and better and finally entering the top fifteen. My

(26:11):
fighting Irish up in one spot. It was a good
win over Louisville. Bad but this isn't last year's louis
it seems. Let's be honest about something, and the first
drive of the offense looked good. However, this was the
worst defensive performance of the year. We gave up over
four yards on offense first time, over twenty points, allowed
almost fifty percent on third down, over.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
One hundred and thirty yards rushing.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
It's just it's not the type of complimentary football you'd
like to see. But good win over a ranked opponent.
I'll be curious to see if Louisville's ranked by the
end of the season. That being said, the Irish are
in the top fifteen.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Go about time.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
That Irish offense made their defense look bad.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
That's what it was.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I maybe you can't keep punishing them for you know,
one bad game. You know it was an unfortunate situation.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
They expanded the let me ask you guys this question.
Then let me ask you this question. I gave you
guys Georgia's schedule, right, and then they still have obviously
some other SEC opponents which will be difficult. And by
the way, they got to play Georgia Tech, who's no
slouch either.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
At the end of the season.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
But they have to go at Texas, at Ole Miss
and versus Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Still they have one loss.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Now they're likely to lose one more, but maybe two,
maybe even two.

Speaker 5 (27:18):
Okay, So let me ask you guys both this, yeah,
nine to three Georgia.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Yes, or an eleven and one Notre Dame team. Ooh,
I gotta go with the one loss team. Oh man,
I gotta go with the one lost team.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Here's the only problem is Notre Dame may have only
one ranked team when it's all said and done, maybe
on their schedule after that. I don't know if Louis
will be ranked and M's twenty fifth, I believe this
week and the eight people, I don't know how the
committee's gonna look at them, and then Southern Cal. But
Southern Cal's got a difficult schedule ahead and the you know,

(27:54):
looking at where potentially they could be ranked.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
They're at eleventh. Now if they lose a couple more games,
are they still a part of it?

Speaker 2 (28:01):
No?

Speaker 4 (28:02):
I mean if you let a three loss team in
over a one loss team, that's that's a significant punishment
for that one loss.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
That's named Notre Dame, right, not not you know, South
Dakota State, which by the way, has to count for something.
It has to, it has to. I mean, that's the
to me. I think that that's what's working in your favor,
that's what's working in Notre Dame's favor is that if
they have one loss, I'm still looking at it as
a network and as a game, and I'm saying I

(28:32):
want that fan base to be a part of this guy. Now. Granted,
if you're saying it's between Notre Dame and Georgia, then
you got a conversation.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Can I can I tell you what might end up
being the demise of Notre Dame in this case?

Speaker 1 (28:44):
H oh?

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Remember that loss that colemps down to Georgia.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
They only got one loss? Why was the thing move
run on to run the table and win the ACC
I mean, if you start comparatively looking at best wins
and you look at Georgia's schedule, they would have better
wins even though they have more losses. And that's the
tough part. So look at an Hispanic college football playoff.
That's why I like asking these questions now, because we

(29:10):
just started October and this is where things start to
kind of funneling towards who those top twelves or teams
are going to be. It's kind of the elimination time.
And this is what makes the conversation interesting. This is
what the college Football Playoff Committee is going to be
tasked with, because Notre Dame very well could be eleven
and one, maybe even ten and two, and that'll be

(29:30):
a difficult conversation because I think the easy thing is saying, well,
they're eleven to one or they're ten and two, they
should go ahead of a team that's got three losses.
But then you look at the SEC and how good
they are this year where I mean, really the top
five teams, you only got one big ten team in there.
Now that changes after that as far as looking at
the top ten, But as we start looking at the
top twenty five ranked teams and strength of schedules, it

(29:53):
becomes a bit more of a difficult conversation.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
I mean, the fact that Northern Illinois hasn't won a
game since that Notre Dame game. It's also probably a
little bit of an issue as well.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Right, and especially like if it came on the road
or something, But the fact that it was at home
doesn't help things, I guess, to put it simply. But
one thing I do want to draw attention to. Do
you remember all the all the conversation about Matt Sluka,
the quarterback for UNLV. Yeah, yeah, A lot of credit
goes out to Hodgemitleke Williams, the quarterback who stepped in

(30:24):
at UNLV.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
Campbell Was he Campbell?

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Was?

Speaker 2 (30:27):
He?

Speaker 4 (30:28):
Wasn't he from Campbell?

Speaker 5 (30:29):
I think? All I know is he's thirteen to sixteen
for one hundred over one hundred and eighty yards, three touchdowns.
The team was excited for him. UNLV stays undefeated, gets
a big, big win over Fresno State. So just huge
for all the controversy and stuff that it had kind
of gone on. Pretty cool to see that happen for him.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Yeah, no, good for them.

Speaker 4 (30:49):

Speaker 1 (31:53):
So there's that's out the patrese Man. Man. That is
a funny dude there, brou Godly. It's so funny, Doug.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
So obviously injuries have popped up. We talked about it
a little bit last week, and there were more injuries
that popped up over the course of the weekend, Rashi
Rice being one of them for the Kansas City Chiefs.
So now they're down another pass catcher, a little friendly fire.
Horrible way to lose your guy, man, Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
You lose your gap because of your your deal. Yeah,
that's that's I bet Patrick was feeling horrible about that. Man, God, yeah,
I would think imagine.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
So there's been some speculation like what what could they do?
Could they make a deal, could they make a trade?
I know Florio throughout the idea of you know what
about Tyreek Hill? You know, probably be a little bit
too difficult to pull off, but you know, maybe there's
that possibility. Uh, people have thrown what would you get
out there?

Speaker 1 (33:02):
What would you do? What would you give? I don't
even know. I think it was like a you know, first,
a second, and a fourth last time. But doesn't that
too much at this point? How old it is Tyreek Hill?
Isn't he too old to give up that much draft draft?

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Do they have that much draft capital to give up?

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Yeah? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Yeah, but can I can I throw it at you guys?

Speaker 2 (33:23):
What?

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Yeah, that's realistic. Yeah, Keenan Allen from Chicago?

Speaker 3 (33:29):
What Aboutigs? You're giving up in your Bears already?

Speaker 1 (33:31):
No? No, no, But what about t Higgins?

Speaker 4 (33:33):
So Keenan Allen, Yeah, Well, I don't know they can't
that Cincinnati would trade him whyside the conference?

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Why not?

Speaker 5 (33:42):
Because the way Tyre kills thirty? Yeah, thirty and he's
still playing at a high level.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
I still think that's that's young enough. You think, yeah,
I just I think the.

Speaker 5 (33:51):
Tough part is you brought in Hollywood Brown. We haven't
seen him yet because he's been banged up.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
That's a good point.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
And then you've got Worthy as a rookie. He'll develop,
you know.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
So the loss of Rice is tough, but you do
still have Juju, you still have Travis, you still have
you know what could be coming along with you.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
And by the way, they're still undefeated, so you know.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Uh so Keenan Allen has got seven catches on the year. Uh,
it's become very obvious that whatever they is, well, I
just don't know that. And he's been a little banged
up as well too. Roma Dunes. There appears to be,
you know, a connection there between him and Caleb Williams.

(34:32):
DJ Moore is clearly the number one oppotion.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
So you want to bring an older wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
No, what I'm saying is if they need help from
a pass catching standpoint, I think the Bears would be
open to it. He's got one year left on his deal.
The Bears traded a fourth round pick for him. If
you could get something like a four or five in
return and send him to Kansas City, like they wouldn't
be open minded to that veteran guy could probably fit
right in, would immediately help the passing game, and they

(35:00):
maybe all of this is only even being considered because
Travis Kelsey hasn't performed, even though his teammates were wearing
T shirts kind of celebrating him over the weekend. I
just look at it and being like, all right, this
could be a possibility here if they're trying to fix
it and they're looking on the trade market. DeVante Adams
obviously not happening because they're not going to trade him
into Division. T Higgins most likely not. But Keenan Allen's

(35:23):
that that feels like it.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Why would it be most likely not? You're probably going
to lose t Higgins at the end of this year.
It's in the conference they're trying to So what going
to Super PI? Quon Barkley's in Philadelphia right now. That's
my AFC champion. You're talking about the Cincinnati Bengals, all right.
I'm just saying I don't know that in conference even
matters anymore. If you can do something to improve your
team or you know, move forward without.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
The devil you know is better than the devil you
don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Right, Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
That's one way you're looking at a tang.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
I guess.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
So, I mean, is anybody really wanting to jump out
there in the AFC to help the chiefs, like proposing
this trade and.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yeah, but I'm talking about the bears, about the Bears?
Why you? Is that your agenda leading to the Bright
Hour three coming at you
