Tireract dot com the way tell buying should be. So
yesterday there were a lot of matchups where players were
facing their ex team and that was sort of discussed,
and you know, Sam Darnold playing the Jets, Dj Moore
(01:12):
playing the Panthers, oh, and Stefan Diggs playing the Buffalo Bills,
and that was the big juicy one that everyone was
looking forward to, and somehow, some way Buffalo ended up
getting back of that game. But man, oh man, Josh
Allen did not look good. And I don't know, I
(01:32):
just assumed that when he hit his head on the
turf the way that he hid that was a quick
concussion protocol saying, like, is that one of those examples
of somebody who might have finagled their baseline test because
he came back in and afterwards they were talking about
a rolled ankle and I'm looking at the plague going,
I mean, I guess he kind of did roll his ankle,
(01:52):
but he bounced his head off the turf.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Like that that was the real story there. It looked
like he got knocked out for a second. Yeah, was
that how you saw it?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:01):
And for some reason, I don't know, he was bad.
I just assumed he would be out and he wasn't.
He came back in and finished the game and did
not look all that hot.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
And they still lost. Put him back in and they
still lost. So Stephon Diggs felt good about it.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, Yeah, I was gonna say, like that was the
one storyline. I mean, obviously Diggs getting his revenge tour,
you know, let him in receptions, but the Stroud to
Nico Collins connection is unbelievable. I'm still like trying to
I mean, coming into the season, I did not think
Nico Collins would have be having the year he's having
right now. But it's just big play after big play.
(02:42):
I feel like, if you're a Michigan fan, you're like,
where the hell was this back when he was in college.
I mean, he always had the ability to be this,
but it's been incredible to see his growth as a
wide receiver, but also the chemistry but him and c J. Stroud,
where they're connecting. It feels like every single week for
some sort of big play.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
And now he's got a hamstring issue so he might
he might miss some time for them.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
But yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
There was the awkward exchange postgame as well too that
people noted where Josh Allen and Stefan Diggs shook hands
and then Stefan Diggs gave him kind of a side eye.
You know, just it's clear, you know there's there's some
issues there. I'm just saying, man, here we go. There's problems.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
But he shook his hand. He didn't dap him up, LeVar.
He shook his hand. He shook his hand.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
That gives you any indication of things?
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Yeah, I get it, I get it.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
He Riley mossed him, not Randy Muho.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Understandable, understandable. That a big difference. Wow, very interesting, all right?
Speaker 4 (03:42):
So what about the decision making for the Bills deep
in their own territory at their own three.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
What the hell was that you just take three shots
down like that? I mean, you teed it up for
Houston to have a shot to win it if you
don't complete any of those balls. And obviously, look we
can always look back in hindsight and question the decision
because they lost. But I just I don't know, man,
(04:12):
I would have I would have thought they released me,
run the ball, do something to take away some time
off the clock backed up like that. That was crazy.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
So Sean McDermott did speak about the decision making there
late in the game from his own three and had
this to.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Say, tough situation.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
You know, they're holding three timeouts, Like I said, they
get a good field, real kicker, and you know you
can go back and forth. I probably should have run
it on the first play, and just because said, hey,
where are we now? Either way, we're probably going to
have to move the chains one time right to not
give them a chance. But again those are those are situations,
and that's on me.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah, it was brutal, I mean to his point. That's
the hard part about it is you'd like to be
able to run one play, take away one time out,
and then reassess. If you get a three yard four
yard game, you're you're on track, You run the ball again,
you take away another time out, more time, there will
be a little bit more time off the clock, but
more importantly, you know, another time out of way, and
then maybe you're you know, more than third and manageable
(05:09):
because the other thing is too the type of pass
plays you're calling could be a different pass play where
you know, yeah you're throwing it, maybe you end up
short or you don't get it and in a third
and four, third and three, but it still keeps the
clock running. To have three straight incompletions and just you
provide them an eternity to make a play. That's too
much time for CJ.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Stroud And that's a head coach's decision or is that
the OC like, is he like, no, give us a chance?
Or is because I would assume a defensive coach you'd
want to play it safe, and that just wasn't safe.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Ultimately, the clock management was gonna fall in the head coach.
He should be overseeing all of that. So that's gonna
it's gonna be his decision as far as what do
you want to do here? And so if he gives
them the green light, as he's saying, hey, we have
to get a first time, we have to move the chains.
Obviously they're gonna be stacking the box expecting them to run,
so you're not. You're gonna have a better look to
throw then you are to run. It's just it didn't
(06:02):
work out three times in a row, which by the
time you're on third down, you're stuck. You're in that
position where you have to throw the football in order
to try to get that first down.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
I mean, what do you think of the Houston Texans
thus far this year? Because it's not I mean, they're
four and one.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
They're a good team.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
I think they're one of the best teams there.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
They're good. Yeah, they're a good team.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
I Mean, it's not like they look great in these
games they haven't had to.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
I mean, you're not always going to look perfect for
all four quarters. I mean they found a way to
win for those games for some stiffer opponents at times.
And look, I think they're just hitting kind of the
cusp of what they're capable of. Still a young team,
so they're a team that it sits now at four
and one, But I think as they build towards the
rest of season and they're playing some of their best
ball in November December, you're gonna be looking at this
(06:50):
team as a contender in the AFC. I'm just telling you,
this is one of those teams I would not want
to see in the playoffs. I just I think they're
dangerous that with the combination of everything they have, they
can run the football, they can create big plays in
the passing game, stroud as clutch, and you've got a
defense too that can make plays as well. So it's
a It's one of the rare teams the FC. I
look at and I kind of think, yeah, they've they've
(07:11):
got all the components to make a run.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
That was a quality win they got yesterday, and I
don't think anyone can deny that because this Buffalo Bill's
team is a good team. That's not a bad team
that they beat. That's a good team. And so when
you get quality wins, you rack up quality wins, you
rack up more credibility in terms of having the conversation
(07:34):
of how good the team is, how good can the
Texans be. I don't know that we know what they're
ceiling looks like yet, but I think we have a
good idea that last year was not a fly by
night or overnight success type of story. They've cooled off,
(07:55):
so to speak. They figured out the mik o'ryans and
what they're doing.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
CJ.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Stroud, he's cooled off, like, No, this is a good team. Uh,
they're they're well coached. Uh, they seem to have the
belief that they can win games, and that doesn't seem
like that's going anywhere. It looks like this is a
team that is going to be one that you have
(08:23):
to deal with and you have to contend with every
single time their their name pops up on your schedule.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
It also helps her in the AFC South because that
divisions are very good at all.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Joe, I don't think it would matter. I think they
would be a problem in any division that they're in,
just the way they're built to play, like, uh, personnel wise,
the way they go through the games. It's a very
balanced team. Man, It's a very very balanced team on
both sides of the ball. And I think they would
(08:59):
be a tough contender, a tough team no matter what
division they're they're in, and they're going to be a
team that you got to watch out for, you know,
you get into later in the year and into the playoffs,
it's going to be a team that you're going to
have to watch out for if they continue on the
trajectory that they're on right now in that division.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
I'm watching Joe Flacco yesterday and I'm thinking of myself
a couple of things Joe Flacco, Like number one, how
was that guy? How was that guy not on a
roster to start last year? And number two, how many
teams would be better if he were their quarterback right.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Now in the NFL?
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Like there a few of them out there, Like he's
been fantastic.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Hey, it's Flacco just slinging it the blue in I mean, well,
we could probably go through them like Las Vegas now
they benched scart A minstry yesterday.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Can we get some game show music here to go
along with this?
Speaker 4 (09:59):
Actually, that's like let's let's let's get some Joe Flacco
love here. So any sort of a game show music.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Or would that be like PoCA of East Coast music?
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Yeah? You think so?
Speaker 3 (10:10):
He's the East Coast guy, right? And what's Delaware?
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Originally? Yeah, I think it went the pit originally? Then Delaware?
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Yeah, correct?
Speaker 4 (10:17):
And then it was God who was the quarterback that
they had there?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (10:22):
And Dave Wants had told a story that he made
up an award to try and keep Joe Flacco there for.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Like that's classic Wanting, classic one. And he's a Jersey
guy though, right.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
And but barely.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Flacco's dad was like, no, we've already got our sight
set on Pitts are on Delaware. So they were off
and run home, all right?
Speaker 1 (10:41):
So here we go show music.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
All right, So we'll go each team at a time.
Would they be better with Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback?
Speaker 3 (10:49):
All right?
Speaker 4 (10:49):
The Buffalo Bills, No, no, no, The Miami Dolphins, yes,
I think currently, and yeah maybe.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
All right, so I don't know. The New England Patriots, yes, yes,
the New York Jets.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
No, sure, maybe, yes, I had to play better than yesterday. Yeah, yeah, No.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
The Baltimore Ravens No no, Cincinnati Bengals no sorry, Brady
Cleveland Browns.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Oh yes, definitively yes.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
The Pittsburgh Steelers, Oh.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Yeah, I'm not ready to go there yet. No field
the fields played pretty well. The Jacksonville Jaguars, oh yes, yes,
nice when yesterday, but I mean I came away more
impressed with Flaka yesterday than Trevor Lawrence, so I guess yes.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
The Tennessee Titans, yes, yes, all right, I already know
your answer on the Texans. The Denver Broncos yes, no, oh,
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
M it's Flacco not Kansas City. The Raiders, yes yes,
the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
No, no, okay no.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
The Dallas Cowboys no no. The New York Giants.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yes, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
Man, Daniel Jones has not been that bad, so okay,
And dump truck nuts, Brian Daball. He deserves a little
bit of respect.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
They got one.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
By the way, did you see the technique that they
used on that block field goal? So they had dexter
Lawrence pulled down the guard next to the long snapper,
and that allowed Isaiah Simmons a little more clearance to
jump over the guard in between him and the snapper,
because otherwise, if he touches the snapper, it's.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
An illegal play.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
So and then it just so happens the ball bounces
perfectly office face mask into the ground and into what
is a Ford weed, and ended up catching it and
running for the touchdown off the bounce. I mean, that
was as well as an execute special teams play as
I have ever seen.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
So would the Giants be better with Joe Flacker quarterback?
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Yeah, of course, Phy.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
No, but right now, no in Washington, all right? What
about the Bears?
Speaker 1 (13:12):
No ah, he played pretty good yesterday? He played okay,
he played pretty good.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Uh, Lions, Packers, Vikings. Any of those teams No, no, no, no.
Which which, by the way, best division in football speaking
of respect?
Speaker 1 (13:28):
The NFC North, The.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Atlanta Falcons no no, Carolina Panthers, yes yes, the New
Orleans Saints or Tampa Bay Buccaneers no no no. Uh,
the Arizona cardin the l A. Rams, Yes no, he's not.
Stafford's not playing with much. The Niners and the Seahawks
(13:51):
no no, and no. Okay, So we're looking at at
least like close to ten teams that Joe Flacco, if
he will, should be BLACKO for Flacco and just out
there slinging.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
What if we had the same conversation about tann and
Hill Tannehill.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
The problem is we haven't seen Timnehill play this year.
That's the difference. Like we've seen Fla last year.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Some of these other quarterbacks play true true, so would you.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
I would need to see the other side of the
conversation too, Like like we saw Flacco play last year,
helped the Browns of the playoffs. I still can't get
over the fact that the Browns were a playoff team
last year. They look so far from that. They look
they and and he was just saying an a like
(14:46):
there's people out there who are like, oh, there's the
Jerry Judy drafting end zone. Okay, Like go back and watch.
This is the first time be overly critical of the
quarterback play because he invites the protection issues they have
right now. He invites it. There's times where he scrambles
from a clean pocket instead of staying in the pocket
and gets sacked or ends up throwing in duress. And
(15:07):
there's some just errant throws. I mean, absolutely, guys open
errant throws. It's getting to the point where I think
I'm not the only person who feels this way. But
why wouldn't you put Jamis in there, Like, why wouldn't
you give Jamis Winston a chance just to go in
and see if you can't provide this offensive spark. It
doesn't have to be for the rest of the season,
but it can be for a period of time. And
(15:29):
I know we sent the clip earlier about like Watson
walking off the field when they called a time out.
It was taken out of context for some people out
there on social media who were trying to make it
look like he was quitting on the team. They had
twelve men in the huddle, so they had to take
a time out otherwise they were gonna be penalized anyway.
So you know, they end up taking the delay of
game in that case for a field goal. So the
(15:51):
whole thing was a bit of a debacle. But that
being said, that was one of the worst overall all
around performances the Browns have hadn't quite some time. I mean,
the defense hung in there for a little bit in
the first half, and then it just felt like they'd
given up because they.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Know their offense can't score enough points. They're not changing quarterbacks.
They are not that's not happening. He Yeah, they just
he said along the lines of I've got a coach better,
We've just got to play better. Okay, well, I.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Mean a lot better, a lotch their showed up somewhere
before then. It is it is terrible to watch this
team now.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Can people just under Deshaun Watson hasn't been good for
over three years.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
He hasn't been good at all?
Speaker 4 (16:32):
Yes, correct, So at what point is it like, yeah,
this is what he is, Like it's done and they're
just stuck with it, like they just have to wear it. Okay,
like you got completely outplayed by Jayden Daniels and Jade
and Daniels has been in the NFL for twenty minutes?
Like like what are we talking about?
Speaker 1 (16:52):
How many minutes? Twenty damn?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Maybe twenty five?
Speaker 4 (16:58):
But yeah it is uh boy is dealing?
Speaker 1 (17:04):
What about and delt it? Delt it to them Browns?
What about that was in the I'm hungover right now?
I was in.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
I was in was We have not been able to
notice this, LeVar, We have not been able to notice
this at all. You don't say, yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
I've been in Zimbie's. I was in zombies the whole time.
It was wonderful. It's a it's a commander's bar. Lots
of LeVar islands were flowing. Yeah, yeah, a.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Lot of happiness, a lot of happiness. You guys were like,
oh my gosh, look at them.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Johnson, look at it.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Look at him, Look at him, Look at dan Quinn,
look at these guys, look at Daniels.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Go, we finally have a team. You know how many
Redskins fans said, we finally excuse me, commanders, you know
what I mean, commanders fans that we finally have a team.
There you go.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
You know, I loved about it. There was a clip
too of Daniels kind of running back by Cliff Kingsbury
in the sidelines and he said to him like, hey,
let's take a shot. They're playing man and Cliff trusts him.
I mean, think about he's a rookie, Cliff's been a
head coach and then the league. He's called plays in
the league and he's he's said, there going, all right,
let's do it. And they dialed up literally Daniel strows
(18:18):
an absolute dime for a touchdown pass the next play,
and that is the type of stuff you can build on.
I think it's also speaks to the environment like dan
Quinn's created as a head coach and just from being
around him, you know about a little over ten years ago.
Dan Quinn was always the type of coach that listened.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
To his players.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
He has a great communication with his players. He wants
them to feel a part of what's happening on the team,
the decisions that they make. It's not just the head
coach and there's some division. He is the type of
guy that listens and really takes into account what they're
seeing out there in the field. So it is pretty
neat to kind of see that. But it's it's it's
gonna be fun to watch this team the rest of
the season. It it's whether or not they can sustain
(18:58):
what they're doing right now. Because one concern I have
for Washington and the injury bug hits everyone at certain
points in the season. They don't have a ton of depth,
so they start losing a few key guys here and there.
Can they overcome that. That's still a question they're gonna
have to answer at some point. It is two pros
and here.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
This this alcohol. That's all right?
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Well a Lee, you know what, Lee, Lee's got some
remedies for it.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
The how do you I feel about this?
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Shall we tease this? Coming up next year on Two
Pros Joe.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
If you've ever had a hangover, If you've.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Ever felt a little bit sick and I didn't really
feel like going to work, Lee de Lap has you covered.
He's going to come up with his no brainer, surefire
away to cure a hangover.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Coming back east, be sure to catch live editions of
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn,
LeVar Errington, and Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern,
three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
App Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio. We are going to have enough ir
coming up here in about fifteen minutes from now, and
I'll be honest with you. We might already start it now.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Yeah, we're going to be truth at this point.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
I mean, we've got someone who's absolutely banged up with yes,
just ripped to shreds.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
So there's one person who can get this handled and
managed and taken care of quickly. It's the one and
only the big Lebowski lead to last.
Speaker 6 (20:25):
That's right, that's right, that's right. Yeah. I've had many
experiences with the old hangover.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
We know.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
Sometimes it's a headache, sometimes it's an upset stomach. For instance,
if you do have an upset stomach, many recommend bananas, rice,
apple sauce. But more than anything, always just load up
on your carbs, toast, and eggs. Eggs are actually really
good for you for some reason, some scientific reason. Somebody
said out there, apple sauce.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Yeah, apple sauce, are going to crap yourself. What are
you talking about? Apple sauce.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
I haven't seen an apple sauce container in years? Really, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Apple sauce.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Did you look this up? Like we're asking you for
your remedies now, you don't care what science says or
the internet sets. Okay, well, nerds who've never drank before
in their parents' basement looked up some stuff.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
Well that can for what you do. Oh well, in
that case, I'll give you the real stuff. First of all,
you gotta think ahead of the game. You know, right
now we're talking about curing hangovers. How about getting ahead
of the hangover? Get your electrolytes in while you drink
a good old pickleback with some whiskey.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
I'm sorry, I what a pickleback.
Speaker 7 (21:26):
It's just pickle juice. You ask your bartender, they all
have it. It's heavy and electrolytes is that's what That's
what alcohol does. It takes out the electrolytes your body
cause it hangovers, restricts the blood vessels.
Speaker 6 (21:37):
Pickleback is the best cure.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
While is pickle back. A drink is at the back
of a pickle, Like, what do you mean.
Speaker 6 (21:44):
A pickleback is just a shot of pickle juice?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Okay, yeah, yeah, you know you call.
Speaker 6 (21:48):
It a pickleback. They'll know you Ask your local bartender, is.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
There is there another remedy it could recommend.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
It actually goes great with whiskey. I recommend. Yeah, drink
water in between your drinks. Moderation.
Speaker 7 (21:59):
People, just you know, hydrated. That's what happens if you're
waking up with that hangover. It's all about spicy food.
In fact, take it from a good friend, Anthony Bourdain,
and he has the hangover cure. And of course we
all know Anthony. So let's take a listen.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Eating cold coca cola, smog a joint, eat some spicy
Seschwan food works every time.
Speaker 6 (22:19):
So that's right.
Speaker 7 (22:20):
Coca cola, aspirin, Smoka jay and some spicy food that'll
cure every time.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
And then for me, it's always just hair of the dog.
Now you know what hair the dog is?
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Yes, you start drinking again.
Speaker 6 (22:33):
Do you know where it comes from?
Speaker 3 (22:34):
No, I don't now.
Speaker 7 (22:36):
Back in I believe it was London back in the
early seventeen hundreds. If you got bit by a dog
and got rabies, they thought the cure for the rabies
was rubbing the hair of the dog that bit you
into the wound. Obviously that's not the trick, but that
is the trick for carrying a hangover. If you're hungover
from say tequila, you start drinking tequila again in the morning,
(22:58):
you have make yourself a little bloody, bloody marry with
heel instead of vodka.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Does any alcohol work? Does it have to be the
alcohol that you're drink?
Speaker 1 (23:04):
Why is it?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
For example, you're a mixing like you had a bunch
of LeVar Islands tonight.
Speaker 6 (23:08):
Before then I would say go with a bloody marry.
Speaker 7 (23:10):
The tomato bass is gonna is gonna coat your stomach,
gonna ease your stomach.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
He doesn't like bloody mary though.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
You don't like bloody mary.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
So can I give it or try? I give you
my recommendation. Yeah, LeVar, Well you go get a greasy burger.
That always helps. I don't know why. My uncle, who
you know, played Bob Brown, used to party hard. He uh,
he always gave me the advice you gotta get. You
gotta get a greasy burger in your stomach.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Usually that helps the most.
Speaker 6 (23:36):
I agree with that absolutely.
Speaker 7 (23:38):
Other cures exercise, getting out of exercising actually helps. Uh,
if you don't throw up first, that's true. Well, I
always recommend throwing up. Throwing up's good for you.
Speaker 6 (23:47):
Probably not at all.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (23:48):
What's probably not good for you at all, but it
makes you feel better.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
I probably need to. That's in there. Hey, if you're
gonna do it, can you do it? Fill? Can you
do it live? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (23:58):
If we're gonna do this, that out of it. Come on, man,
you don't want to be there. We're not the first
host to ever throw up on the air.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Like, especially at Fox Sports Radio. That'd be impressive. We've
got some true degenerates.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
So yeah, that'd be great.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
I could feel it though I definitely overdid it. I
mean I didn't realize I overdid it, but I did.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
Where do you where do you think the night turned like?
Was there a specific drink? Did you do a shot
and you were like.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Yeah, things LeVar Islands the whole night?
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Yeah, But was there like one to the next that
you felt more like, No, three to four? That was
really what I kicked in.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
No, I wasn't keeping count. I was just having great
conversation with great people, awesome people, and we were watching
all of the games like they have all the games
on and all the monitors, and we were just watching
and drinking and eating some amazing wings. And before you
know it, we were into the late game and we
(24:59):
were still doing the same exact thing, and before you
know it, you know, it went a little longer because
we were waiting and there were more conversations and more
drinks flowing, and yeah, it was it was a good time.
He's a good time.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
Uh. Now, I don't know what's open at this time
in the morning, but it's just something to where maybe
delivery can bring by like a just like a spicy
like breakfast burrito and just rifle that down, or you're
gonna blow chunks, like within the next you know, twenty
minutes or so, it's gonna be an issue.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
I don't think. I don't think i'm going to. I
think I'm good. I'm pretty certain I'm good. It just
feels like I need to that's all. I'm fine. I'm
a growing man, I'm a big boy. I'm not I'm
not irresponsible usually. I mean, by the way, did you
did oversleep? Did you hear the uh? Did you hear?
Speaker 4 (25:54):
Just the confidence that Lee had there.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah, explaining the different types of.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
Things his every day rec It's like, no, I wake
up in the morning, I take my shower and then
I started hitting a little bloody Mary, you know, help
with the day before. Scientifically it's better.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
But by the way.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
So he was so happy to be able to contribute
to the conversation in this way off of something that
he can call his expertise. So there he goes good.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
And by the way, don't get it twisted. It's not
like Lee sat dry yesterday. We saw the pictures and
Lee was getting after it too. Lee, what was the
end tally for you?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (26:35):
That was the usual.
Speaker 7 (26:36):
I mean, that was what during the Packers game. So
I had a pint of tequila that was that was
an all me.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
I'm sharing it a pint. It was sharing it with people.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
How many people? Yeah, there was two people Lee and.
Speaker 6 (26:51):
You know there were two Delaps there. They both went
by the same name.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Yeah, and I know your girlfriend Jill. You know that
you sometimes en family.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Yeah, she got fired. There was a we won't see
Lee tomorrow, that's for certain. I ain't coming back.
Speaker 7 (27:11):
There's a twelve pack of Laches in there and h yeah, yeah, yeah,
I got that.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Just just look at your left hand.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
The lah.
Speaker 6 (27:21):
This a new thing I found that's very interesting. Next
to you.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
I did not know that's who Jill was. I walked
right into that one.
Speaker 7 (27:33):
My new favorite is uh because I found it a
liquor store and you and I asked my liquor store.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Please plain ship.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Just for the new audience. The Lache people go.
Speaker 6 (27:46):
For it, Brady, you know the Laches.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Yeah. So back when there was the reality TV show
between Nicholas and Jessica Simpson and they were married, right, Yeah,
he exclusively would drink Miller Lite. So my buddies and
I kind of coined the fact that we just called
them nick Laches during that period of our life, and
it's kind of stuck ever since. So we now refer
to Miller Light as nick Lache, which I do think
(28:10):
given the day and age of like digital media and advertising,
they should bring that back. They should bring back some
clips of him and all that and have him be
like the ad spokesperson four Miller Light.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
I mean, the way that marriage went, he probably would
like to forget it, though I don't know, something like
it was pretty wild at times.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
He's in love now and he's got a wildly successful
show on on Netflix.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Someone say, it's nine eight degrees in rising, super hot.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Hey, Lee, So what were you saying at the liquor store.
Speaker 7 (28:44):
Well, first, I gotta put a shout out to the
fans out there. They've been tweeting at me the Circus
Liquor bio.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
You guys know Circus Liquor. It's the big clown in
the valley.
Speaker 7 (28:54):
Yeah, yeah, it's made its way into social into pop
culture anyway, big famous circus sign of a clown. Everyone's
tweeting at me the story of Circus Liquor. Stories already knew,
but thank you everybody. That's my local liquor store.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
But yeah, I already knew.
Speaker 6 (29:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (29:12):
I shared it with my liquor store owner that I
found these new Chee Chee long islands next to the
buzzballs at the seven eleven. I said, Hey, these are
really good and they're half the price of the buzzballs.
Can you grab those for me? He's like, oh, yeah, Lee,
anything you want. So he's buying a cretive those for
me so I could get those.
Speaker 6 (29:29):
Sunday mornings.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Most people have like a wine salesman or something. Lee
has a guy at a liquor store who just pues
the whatever he wants. Yeah, it's pretty amazing. All right,
we gotta get a break.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
We'll hit on the.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Other side of this, all right.
Speaker 4 (29:47):

a big way.

wherever you get your podcast. You'll see this show posted
right after we get off the air, So probably not
enough time in a three hour show, whether it be today, Tomorrow, Wednesday,
(30:51):
you name it, to discuss what the hell that was
in college football this weekend. But man, that was something.
And if you I thought Penn State looked a little flat,
almost like they looked past UCLA, yet Penn stated, yes, I.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Thought they started a little slow, but I just felt
like my takeaways after watching them play all year, they
get into a rhythm of the game. And while they're
getting into the rhythm of the game. They beat you up.
They're beating teams up. This offensive front is pretty impressive.
(31:32):
They're impressive. And while it may look like it's a
slow start, I think they're filing out instead of just
being aggressive and maybe just trying to take the top
off of a defense and do different things. I think
they're filling out teams. And once they figure out what
they want to do and how they want to call
the plays, they start scoring. And they did that without
(31:55):
Nick Singleton. By the way, K Tron carried the load
on that sad day. The defense showed up. They did
what they were supposed to do. I don't I don't.
I didn't see it that way, but I mean I
guess his perspective. I mean, I could easily see why
it would be viewed that way. But I just think
that it's we have now two coordinators that do a
(32:19):
phenomenal job of seeing what a team is giving them
and adapting and adjusting to what it is that's being
put in front of them. That's what I saw.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Inside of it, it looked they were fine. I mean,
you still has a bad football team, you know. That
was that was justin Martin their quarterbacks first start of
his career, the center's first start of his career.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
I just I don't know.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
I mean, you got out rushed. I know Nick Singleton
wasn't there, but Kate tron Allen, that offensive line should
have been able to run the football better than you.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Still it wasn't the case in the end.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
And that's a team that defensively has struggled mightily, and
I would have thought they would have been able to
put up more points, more big plays, something. And that's
the concern is like, let's be honest, you gotta beat
Ohio State, and I know you're playing that game to
getting into November, but you don't have a wide receiver
that's in the top twenty five of the big ten.
(33:14):
There's the big ten in receiving, okay, And to put
that into perspective, Ohio State has three players in the
top fifteen, two of which in the top three, and
Jeremiah Smith and Mecha Abuka, and then obviously Cardinal Tate
is in the top fifteen. Trey Wallace is the closest
at like twenty six in the conference. And so the
(33:36):
problem becomes, if you want to beat Ohio State, you
have to be able to match their big plays or
the big play ability. And that's what concerns me is
like the coordinators, no doubt replacing them. The job they've done.
It's been everything you'd hope for so far. But if
they can't figure out a way of getting Trey Wallace
and Amari Evans more involved in bigger plays downfield versus
(33:59):
Ohio State, it's going to be the same problem James
Franklin's had for his tenure at Penn State, with exception
of twenty sixteen, Like he's going to struggle being able
to find ways of beating a team like Ohio State.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Yeah, I don't disagree with that, but I don't fully
subscribe to it. I think that they're effective with the run.
I think that again. I think this offensive line is
better than what it was last year. And I think
that their ability to be able to control the line
of scrimmage, both on the offense side of the ball
and defense side of the ball, gives me a lot
(34:38):
of confidence and what it is that they're doing. I
think they'll have a test this week with USC, They'll
definitely have some things going on heading into the Ohio
State game. But to me, I feel confident about where
this Penn State team is right now, just my personal
(34:59):
take on it.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
Yeah, well listen if you're UCLA better out there, kept
it within twenty eight and a half, that was the
most important part. So good for you guys. Two pros
and a cup of Joe here our three next Ton
