(00:43):
the Dodgers Faithful went to the streets last night. They
was partying. They was celebrating the guy. A little out
of hand, but they were celebrating. We was wondering, what
such a race driven show. What do y'all think the
percentages of race racial groups out there representation were last evening.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
I know ROBERTA was excited, that's all.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
SOO we got that text messagetick. Yeah, yeah, he was
quick and by the way, he kind of shoved it
back in Jonas's face. She just took a shot at
Dodger fans for not having a legitimate world series.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
You you didn't partake in those.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
I only made the claim for the Lakers and the
bubble boy scenario.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Okay, first of all, the reason that will always be
brought up is because it rubs them the wrong way
and Robert.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
The wrong way.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
That's great, Like they get a little, uh, they get
a little upset about.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
That, so they they get upset them the.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
One one them.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
Yeah, they took to the streets last It was all.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Kinds of fireworks going on last night.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
I'm sure Lee got no sleep last night because all
he was the one was spectating listening to all the
fireworks last night. We know that's why his favorite pastime
while he's Lopez. Why did you listen to them, Lee, Well,
(02:25):
because I can't see them. I just like to listen
to them.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Lighting fireworks off not far from me last night after
the they were letting off last night.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
You already know that excuse. You already knew that it
excused to fire him off.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
So yeah, congratulations to the Dodgers, Lee, Did you at
least have a throat burner or two to celebrate?
Speaker 6 (02:47):
I was so bummed because, yeah, last night was the
one night I did not go out to watch the game,
so I was watching at home and of course listening
to the fireworks and uh yeah, it couldn't see anybody.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yeah, I had a throw burner at the end. Nice
of course, but I had an h O A meeting
that I, of course just like did not partake in.
But Lee, I was at the bar with Trish yesterday
having some really really stiff drinks watching the World Series.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Were you thinking about Lee at that moment? I thought
about him, like, this is what Lee does daily.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
So I only had one smart I limited myself to
just one. You know, it was good, But I did
think of Lee.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
I was like, Lee, what time did you crack open
your first drink yesterday?
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Dude? Like seven o'clock pretty much at the end of
the game. No, no, No, for the day, Oh for
the daily yesterday like seven am, not seven pm. Seven am. No,
I didn't drink yesterday. I don't believe that.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
You just said you had a throat.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Burner at the end of At the end of the game,
I can cracked this out. It is yesterday. I didn't
feel like I didn't feel like I basically had like
one less dangerous. See, I found it in the back
of the fridge. At the end was like when you
when you're in denial, like that wait, you guys show
that is drinking.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
That's that's not enough for it to be drinking, now, Lee,
any consumption of alcohol.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
We're talking about drinking. By the way, we can go
back to twelve oh five am Wednesday.
Speaker 6 (04:14):
Oh, well then then we have a problem. Well then
at twelve or five was my first drink?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Oh my god, Oh my gosh, Lee, you need help, man,
you do you need to talk through this a little
bit brouh You're talking about it. It was fine yesterday, like
it's not.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
It's not a heavy lift, Lee, all right, you put
it that way. You're not a heavy lift.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
You do know you just said what a what? What
are they called an alcohol alcoholic? That is able to
functioning alcoholic? That's what a functioning alcoholic is. Lee. I
didn't you know that. I will at least I'm a
functioning alcoholic. Yeah. I'm not a quick I'm not a quitter.
(05:09):
I'm in this to win it. I guess that you
just said you did. Oh that doesn't count. Yeah, had
one celebratory beer. I'd even finish it. What was the
what was the beer?
Speaker 6 (05:20):
It was a Corse Light, which I didn't even know
I had, but I found it back in the fridge.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
You know, you might be honest, something that's basically like
an aqua fino. I mean, yeah, so that's not bad.
He didn't know he had it. It was how long
do you think I could give you? I could give
you the reason why that thing appeared where it did.
Why is that that got poison in it? It wasn't there,
it was put there. Yeah, I'm trying to take out
(05:46):
you be out of here. I'm just saying, oh, I
didn't know that corse light was there. Just so by
the way, strict nine in it.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
For anybody thinking that these are like this is a bit,
it's gotta be No.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
No, none of this stuff was planned.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Or discussed before the We just fall upon these, like
these bear traps of goodies.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
I don't even know that we finished the last segment
before we understanding Lee's Halloween last year. Man, I mean,
have we defined whether or not that's considered trigger treating
if you do take a piece of candy and you
did technically say trigger treat.
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Yeah, but I didn't like go to the front door
and like knock and say trigger treat.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
I wasn't.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Where it was.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, they don't want you to do that when they
leave the candy outside, just be courteous, take, take it
and go. And it was the end of the night.
Speaker 6 (06:38):
There's like nobody left on the streets and it was
just like left out there on the sidewalk was.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
A little piece of candy. Oh my god. As well.
We really should have followed Lee for a day without
him knowing. Man, could you imagine seeing what his day
is like without him knowing.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
That You act like like somebody who's been tracking him
and him not know before.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
Like hm hm, oh wow, I assume somebody's watching me
at all times.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Oh, because they are.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
It's like the Halloween song Somebody's watching?
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Isn't that Michael Jackson too?
Speaker 2 (07:21):
It is?
Speaker 1 (07:22):
What album about? Like scary enough?
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah? Pretty much.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
He was just a feature on that song. Though, who
was the song? I'll find him hold on, But I'm
just saying, didn't he do? Like wasn't his his album
called thriller? Yeah? Yeah? Beat It bad, beat it bad,
lots of stuff. There's gotten beat somebody watching? Well, thank you, Lorena,
(07:51):
so hey, now that you really think about it, naming
your your song beat it, okay.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Trust me, buddy, Every single one of those songs you
start to look at a little bit.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
A little different. I've heard the story that he got
in a fight with Tupac.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yeah I heard that. Yeah, because and he grabbing his
niece or something like that, and Michael Jackson won. Yeah,
I said he whooped Tupac's ass. Yeah, really that's the
that's the story. And he was from Gary, Indiana. Yeah,
I'm just saying with five older brothers.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
With brothers, yeah, I could know.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
And Tupac wasn't tall a little settle dude.
Speaker 6 (08:27):
Hold on a second, when did apparently people say that
Michael had hands like you could throw. I've heard that.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Why you're so dumb. That's when I heard.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Oh my god, this is just I mean, I've never
heard that he beat up Tupaca.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
It just came out. It was there was a video
like all these dudes that like they were behind the
scenes always hanging out. You know, it's crazy because all
these celebrities really be having their entourages of people and
they be with one another, whether it's the bodyguard, best friend,
you know, manager, whatever it is. And now everybody's starting
to like tell these stories. It's like socially, I guess
(09:18):
because the platforms are there for you to be able
to just go on a podcast tell a story that
no one's hurt, and then boom, it goes viral. Everybody
starts looking at it. Apparently somebody who was close to
the situation that was there was watching Tupac drag his
girlfriend like he was grabbing her or something like that,
like and then like kind of like was talking to
(09:38):
her in a real disrespectful manner, and Michael Jackson was like,
I want to say, it's like Quincy Jones's daughter or
something like that. I want to say, And Mike was like, hey, yo, like,
hey bro, don't be talking to her like that. Don't
be grabbing up on her like that. And Tupac was like,
if you mind your business, they said, Mike like went
ahead and throttle down on him, like threw down. Wow.
(10:04):
Could you imagine you gotta live with the fact that
Michael Jackson whooped your ass and you wanted to like
all time great gangster rappers. How does just now coming out?
Is that?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
What I want to understand is that worse than Kat
Williams getting roughed up by the fourteen year old No, okay.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
No, because at least Michael Jackson is a grown ass
man I mean there's something to that. Do you get
hit up? You get hit up by by a teenager,
like a young on the younger side of you, Like
you're you're closer to being a ten year old than
you are to being a twenty year old. I still
understand that, Like, why would you ever find yourself by
(10:47):
a child? The fourteen year old? And he won. He
has had you on the ground and in the fetal position.
Oh man, that's what this is all about. Now. Cat
Williams came and frad everybody on on the podcast show.
He did it is all because he got beat up
about fourteen year old.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Gosh, man, it reminds me so much of what's happening
this weekend between the Saints and the Panthers.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
I'll tell you that right now. What type of fight?
What type that's a pillow fight? Don't fight that is?
What type of fight is that? That's a bad football
team fight.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
I remember when the Saints were two and oh by
the way, and we thought they I thought they were
the real deal.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
They've lost sixth straight. Saints, they were a real deal
with with your your boy in there though with car
it just it went off the rails after he went out,
he's back this week.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
They got a shock. They gotta shot.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
What's the record right now? And two and whatever? Two
and six? Damn they've lost six straight. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
that's not good. It's been a rough go.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
That's gonna be one of those ones at the end
of the year we look back on and go, man,
maybe we made.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Too much of the two and oh stuff, you know,
I mean, but what if they keep winning when Carr
comes back? Maybe we made the two and zero in.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
The seventeen game seasons like the old one to oh
in the sixteen game season, where you had a team
that you didn't think was gonna be very good ends
up winning Week one. You're like, oh, maybe they're gonna
win a super Bowl, my gosh. And like there's that
knee jerk overreaction of Week one. That's essentially now what
we've got in seventeen games. It's like, all right, let's
wash pump the brakes, you know, oh, my gosh, Johnson,
(12:24):
Oh Johnson.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
They're going to at least.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Wait till like week five or six to really digest
I mean.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Isn't I mean, let's be fair here, though they're starting
guy who was cooking went out. He went out, and
he's been out and they've been losing ever since. What
if they start winning again? What if they go on
to four game winning streak? I mean, are we still
counting them out?
Speaker 4 (12:47):
I think Atlanta should win that division If they don't,
like that's well, that's.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Not right, It's that's not technically true. I mean, he's
the car started five games this season. They just got
off to that t and star then they lost three straight.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Then he got hurt. Oh he lost three I thought
it was with with Rattler. No, okay, Oh well, well
never mind, I take it back. Yeah, yeah, and I
guess we got fooled. I guess you can count Tampa
out if they don't have their two receiver, right, I
can't say. I mean, but they they still look like
(13:22):
they're pretty good.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
You know.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
But speaking of like smaller guys like that, McCauley culkin
dressed up as Joe Burrow brilliant. It looks so similar
because they look just alike. Well, isn't McClay tiny though?
He's like thirty years older than him too, isn't he?
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (13:42):
Yeah, you probably hang out with him. He probably delivered
him a pizza. How tall is mcaulay Culkin.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
No idea, no idea, but I'll I don't know. They
look just alike. But I just be clear speaking of
all that stuff, I have been to uh never Land
ranh though. Have you yeah as a kid? Yeah, boozer,
Uh you d lee, you stayed overnight? Oh yeah, no
kidding to say, Oh snap, did you guys.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
See Christian McCaffrey's costume for Halloween?
Speaker 1 (14:12):
No? What do you gouys?
Speaker 2 (14:13):
I would check your text message the group chat real quick.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Did you see what Ryan Clark? It was? All right,
I'll see you guys on this show.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
And by the way, like.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
The irony behind that, I'm just for my personal opinion
for the things that Ryan Clark.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Has said in the past.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
It's like, oh, the irony of something like that irony there,
there's a ton yeah uh so. But here's the thing is,
I'm not a d bag, so I can have fun
and laugh at different things and not have to like
make it into like a racial joke or everything else
like like he does. So I will go ahead and
just say it's it was cool, it's funny, Like I
(14:52):
don't have an issue with it. But the irony behind
that is pretty ridiculous. I don't disagree with that. And
by the way, I disagree with McCaffrey's outfit. I would
have went with big bad Wolf. I never got to
Jaffrey's outfit.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah, I would have went with big I would have
went with big bad Wolf. Over over to tin Man.
You got dang right, got that right?
Speaker 4 (15:20):
You like a Dorothy wherever you want, the tornado, the
yellow brick road.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
I don't care. You could. You could send me into
a house fire this dall you damn you know. The
saddest part is.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Our family stressed up as the wizard of.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
All this year. Oh now, the.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Mine the entire day tonight.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
For what it's worth, you were the big bad Wolf
in that scenario because is walking around he dealt with
the big bad Wow. Oh man, that's good, that's good man.
You should be the big bad wolf. Bro. You know, hey, Joe,
(16:18):
to stop, man, stop what angle ain't gonna change. They
ain't gonna change change. They ain't gonna change it. Man.
I threw my keys on the ground. I don't care
how high you hold it up. Yeah, it ain't gonna
You ain't gonna get any different angle. Sorry.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
By the way, LeVar did show me a picture he
dresses JJ Watt for Halloween.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Yeah, I did. I did it, but I'm not again,
I'm not controversial though I know no. And they did
lighten my face up so that they could see the
blood on my face that like you had white face.
They lightened my face up to be J. J. Watt
so that I so that they could see the blood
on the televisions, like television stuff like you couldn't see it.
(17:05):
It looked like I was gott It looked like I
was sweating. Yeah, the blood made me look like I
was sweating, you know, dark skin, dark blood. So they
lighted my face up so they could see the blood. Yeah,
there you go. Great cost But it was put out
there that I did do white face, which I think
is preposterous. But what is racist? You're doing a costume.
(17:27):
What are you supposed to do? What? What? Oh? Okay,
I mean, come on, it's like if you go as
uh Dracula. You know. All I know is I was
just me and my face was like up. I did
not have like the hair going like I didn't Dave
Chappelle it like the TV anchor and go all the
(17:47):
way in. Well maybe I should have. I mean, that's
what that's what works these days. Man, you know, you
got to lean into these things. I mean, I'll be
Afa Brady, I welcome in. Yeah, off top right? No, no, no,
I'm not. Oh what I'm not going up top with?
I thought we're at top, got it? No? No, no.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
And that'll conclude our coverage and preview of the Panthers
and the Saints coming up this weekend in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Definitely more entertaining than Bryce Young and Derek Carr in
a match.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
By the way, my mind is blown by Dorothy One,
but also by Tupac Michael Jackson.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
I never heard that's in my life. I can't believe
that's a real thing. I don't know how true it is,
but that is that that is a story that it's
been told and is out from like some type of
a podcast or something or interview something to that effect.
But I did see it least, so I will you know, Yeah,
I can find that. I heard it too.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. Coming up next here though, who's in the
mood to win? Quinn's wins that is? And it's yours
right here on FSR.
Speaker 5 (18:52):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox Weekday said six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. So we are going to have an award
that we'll hand out here on this show. It's our
Pro of the Week. Pretty obvious choice based on the
week he had. That'll be yours here in about fifteen
minutes from now. But right now, it's time to win.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
I'm a winner.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Listen up.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Winning cures all illnesses. It really does. I'm going to win.
It's Quinn's wins.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
Yeah, a happy Halloween version of it on this Thursday.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Look.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Last week, the first.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Losing week of the season, went one and two. This
year so far ten and seven. So we want to
get back on track this week, and it starts off
with college football.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Now not the NFL, but we'll get to that though.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Talane taking on Charlotte, a big favorite, fourteen and a
half points. Go ahead and lay those fourteen and a
half points. Twainn's actually been pretty dominant so far in
AC play this season four to zero, led by their.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Sophomore running back Mackai Hughes.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
He's rushed for almost over one hundred and fifteen yards
the last four games, had over one hundred and ninety
last week in a tuddy versus North Texas, and look,
Charlotte is atrocious versus the run ranked one hundred and
eighteenth and rushing yards given up per game over two
hundred per game. So look for the Tulane rushing attack
to go off. They average about forty points per season
this year. The Charlotte QB situation has been a little
(20:21):
bit of an issue, kind of a carousel of.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Quarterbacks coming in and out.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
So not only lay the fourteen and a half points
with Tulane, but also take the over of fifty five
and a half points as well for this one. So
lay the points with Tulane, take the over. And then
finally Thursday Night Football, we got the New York Jets
hosting the Houston Texans. Yes, the Texans are riddle with
injuries at the wide receiver position, no Nicocollins, no Stefon Diggs.
(20:47):
They still do have enough depth there between Tank Dell
and some of the others. Robert Woods and the guys
to be able to I think score and put up points.
The protection hasn't been great, and this is not an
easy defense to go up against, and you have to
think that even the Jets are gonna get going.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
I didn't really want to pick a side here.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
I don't like the numbers sitting there one and a half,
so I'd rather take the over of forty two.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
I don't see this being a low scoring game.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
I think one of these two quarterbacks is going to
have to have some sort of drive at the end
of the game to win.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
I see this.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Game being more in the twenties, more like a twenty
four to twenty one style victory that gets you to
that over. So take the over of forty two on
Thursday Night Football, and there are your three bets for
Quinns wins this week.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Pam, you might want to turn your mic on while
you're saying bounce track time. Sorry about that, no worse bounces?
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Yeah, can help me. Look you're looking forward to Look.
That look works everywhere, all right. I don't care if
you're on your deathbed, all right or you're a newborn baby.
That look works.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
Yeah, that.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Damn well. You know what else? Works' radios. That's right up.
They're the official communication device of Fox Sports Radio. And
you know what, if you want to try to get
one of Brady Quinn's picks, you know, you might want
to try to get on the Rapid radio you know
line that he has. Well. Also, if there is an emergency,
you will want a rapid radio so you have instant
(22:17):
push the top walkie talkie for clear nation wide national
LTE coverage. And well it's one touch gives you a
peace of mind for connecting with family and an emergency.
Make sure you go to rappid radios dot com now
for you know, sixty percent up to sixty percent off
and free shipping. Hey, I got a question. What you got?
Speaker 4 (22:38):
So let's say, because it's not that far fetched, the
Jets are a slight favorite minus one and a half
on Draftking. So let's say that Houston wins this game.
The Jets are a favorite to beat Houston. Yeah, okay,
short week money line, Houston's banged up money line.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
I would probably.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Bet the Texans as well too, which is bad news
for the Texans. But if this they lose this game
and it continues to go to the way that it does,
and Aaron Rodgers is you know, a little bit shaky.
You guys think he's coming back next year because I
I lean on the side now, is the way this
season's gone that this is we're looking at the final few.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
I can't see him leaving out this way. Yeah, I
can't see it. It's just I just think that for
all the things that we do, you know, there when
you compete at a high level, there has to be
a certain level of pride and a certain level of
just kind of expectation for yourself and just as an athlete,
(23:38):
just as a person in regular life. So when you're
as great as he's been in his career, I just
don't think that someone like him, you know, and clearly
he does a weekly podcast, so he it matters to
him to put his messaging out there. I just don't
think he walks away. Now. What is the relationship between
(23:59):
him in the Jets, I think is a bigger question.
How does that all play out? Where do they go
from here? But in terms of him walking away from
the game, I just can't see. After the type of
career he's had and the reasons why he left Green
Bay and went to the Jets, I think wanting to achieve,
accomplish more, you know, be an MVP again, or win
(24:22):
a Super Bowl, be responsible for the Jets winning a
super Bowl, whatever it may be. I just can't see
him walking away from it this way.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Can't be going out like this right. I mean, it
just it doesn't feel like it's right.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
And I'm not saying you keep trying to chase that
that perfect John Elway sail off in the sunset, go
with a super Bowl, But I just I would like
to think that there is enough grip, enough determination, enough
maybe you know, frustration that leads to like anger, being
ticked off about how this season's gone, that he does
(24:56):
want to come back, He does want to prove any
doubters wrong.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
He does want to prove to.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Himself he could still do it to the godchilds of
the NFL who think he's lost a step. Like there's
that part of it for me as a former player now,
especially when all these guys you know, play late into
the career like I want it for them.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Man, how you feel about that, LeVar?
Speaker 3 (25:18):
But I always think about the country song I am
as good as I once was, but I'm as good
ones as I ever was. Yeah, I want that for them,
like I want that one season than to be what
they hope it's going to be. I know they are
a stacked against you. The probability it's it's that's not
going to work out more often than not. But I
hope it does. And honestly I do for Jets fans too,
(25:40):
because I think they've endured a lot and I don't
know that there's been more build up for a player
arriving to a fan base. With the exception of you know,
Tom Brady, Payton Manning. I think the difference is with Rogers,
like when he got there, he was still coming off
from really good foot You remember, Manny was coming off
(26:02):
a neck injury. So there's a lot of hype in
Denver and excitement, but there's a little bit of like
a little unknown right Like when he.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Played that first year. I think people were a little
scared too when he was going to take hits, how
he respond You.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Know, with Tom Brady, you weren't sure like what version
they were gonna get because he was towards the end
of his career. He's playing into his forties, and it
felt like the Super Bowls that he was a.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Part of with New England. Maybe we're a little further
away for Rogers.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
I mean, he was coming off not that long before
winning an MVP, So the hype around it and the
fact that it was New York and the Jets and
the way this fan base has struggled, and the playoff trial,
all these things, I think it led to maybe the
most type we've seen in the NFL for a player
going to a team in quite some time, and it
has been anything but what was advertised. I think for
(26:51):
that reason alone, maybe there's this sense of onus. There's
this sense of determination to try to prove anyone who
thinks that if he comes back next year, it's not
gonna be different than it was this year. Like, I
selfishly want that story, that chapter to be written only
because I want to see the good, Like I want
(27:13):
to see it come out on the side where it
defeats all odds. And so maybe that's just me, but
I hope he comes back. I hope whatever happens tonight
has no bearing on that. Like there's a longer plan
to this than just saying I'm gonna get to the
end of the season and see.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
How I feel.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
I hope it's that doesn't come to that.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Yeah, I just his days of being a top five
cornerback are over and now it's just coming to terms
with the fact that the reality is that's not who
he is anymore. Does this version still is it? Is
it good enough to win games? And I hope the
same thing. I love seeing all time greats go out
more so on their terms as opposed to you know,
(27:51):
father Time saying that's about it. We'll wrap this up
from here. I just wonder, like, do the Jets want
to run this thing back? I mean, there's I'm assuming
if this goes south and they don't make the playoffs,
they're probably going to have a new coach. Does that
coach want to sign up for this?
Speaker 5 (28:05):
Like?
Speaker 1 (28:05):
Who will that coach be? Like, I just why would
you want to sign up for this? You know what
I mean? Like if you're a new coach, I know
part of you would say, oh wow, I get this
great roster and I have a Hall of Fame quarterback.
But I think it's kind of played out in a
way where if you're looking at it right now, it
might be safe to say that if I come into
(28:28):
this scenario with all factors given, I'm going to have
to deal with what Aaron Rodgers wants and what comes
along with that. Am I able to do my job
the way I need to do my job? If you're
a GM or you're a head coach, at the end
of the day, like say you replaced the GM, say
(28:51):
you replace the head coach, but you're not replacing Aaron Rodgers.
I just think that whether it's true, whether it's warrant it,
whether it's it's it's just or not, I think the
perception is is that this is all about appeasing Aaron Rodgers.
And if that's the if that's the general feeling within
(29:13):
the coaches community, then why would you want to touch that?
That could be you know, for for a coach depending
on which you know, what turn they're on, if it's
their first turn, that's a hard one. That's a hard
one for your first time out because you're going to
spend your first opportunity on taking a chance, hoping that
you can go navigate a situation that wasn't navigated by
(29:37):
two coaches before you. You know, and then if you're
a coach that's already had a job and you're you know,
you're getting your second chance, you know, another chance, are
you going to waste your your your last chance possibly
on this scenario. I just think that it's a it's
a it's a hard situation to walk into for any coach,
(30:00):
you know, moving forward, knowing what what you seemingly think
the circumstances are that surrounding this team.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
Yeah, well, we get to see you play out later
on tonight Halloween. We got the Texans, we got the Jets.
Albert Breer is going to stop by next hour. He'll
be at that gall you too, So, hey is Lee?
Speaker 2 (30:18):
There is Lee a livestyle? I don't know, man like
he dump it out.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
He bright eyed and bushy tail this morning. Man, he
didn't drink at all. Well, he just had a few drinks,
had a sip of sip of something, but he didn't
He wentn't drinking, you know, Yes, where is feeling good?
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Is he here?
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yeah? Talk to you?
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Oh there he is.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
You're gonna get on the liver loom tonight though, Oh yeah,
I got to make up for lost time. Today is Halloween.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
Yeah, Hey, Lee, can we can we make a bet?
You can go a week.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Without if you want to lose, Well, at least you
ain't trying.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
By the way, one sip of alcohol counseling.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Yeah, yeah, I mean going, we can try.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Okay, I'm willing to make that bet with you.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
No cough medicine, yeah, no flask of listerine that you
don't spit out.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Nothing, no alcohol at all. But then you wait, No,
I can't. I can't have mouth washed you. You can't
drink it. You to drink, well, you're still going to
consume it. You can't do it. It has to be alcoholol.
Speaker 6 (31:25):
You have to brush this prussure to what away get
if I don't drink, I don't understand what.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
You'll figure something out. I'll figure it out.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Pad on your back. That's not good enough. I don't know.
I don't know why for you to be able to
come on air and say, you know what I told you,
I'm not depending. I could take a week off from
drinking like anything alcohol related bragging rights, No, no, good, don't.
I don't see the benefit in this at all. It
(31:52):
sounds more you clearly choose Vioalance. I mean that's that's
